Wives and family members of Mallorca players have reported being harassed and touched without consent by a group of men following their Spanish Super Cup semi-final defeat to Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.

The incidents occurred at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Thursday, where supporters claim they faced harassment both during and after the match.

Cristina Palavra, wife of Mallorca midfielder Dani Rodriguez, has denounced the treatment she and other team supporters endured, describing a concerning lack of security as they attempted to leave the stadium.

The most serious allegations include women being touched without permission and having unauthorised photographs taken of them.

“We went as a group, all together with the organization and everything, but we couldn’t do anything else. We got to the bus as best we could, that’s how it is,” she added.

The group was forced to make their way to their transport with minimal protection.

Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams recently spoke out against the competition’s location.

“It’s a shame that we have to play hundreds of kilometres away from our fans and our families. For me, it makes no sense to play here in Saudi Arabia, but that’s how football works today,” Williams said.

Real Madrid won Thursday’s match 3-0, with goals from Bellingham, Rodrygo and an own goal by Valjent, setting up a final against Barcelona.
