10 Superman Villains Who Are Genuinely More Interesting Than Lex Luthor

Published

on

Atomic Skull from Superman: The Animated Series

Superheroes like Spider-Man and Batman are well-known for their amazing rogues’ galleries—having some of the most unique and interesting villains in the comic book game. However, a superhero whose catalog of enemies does not get enough respect is none other than the Man of Steel himself, Superman, also known as DC’s golden boy.

While pretty much everyone who knows Superman also knows his greatest enemy, Lex Luthor, many don’t realize that there are a plethora of foes of the big blue boy scout that are amazing characters. Lex Luthor isn’t the only baddie on the block and, oftentimes, can feel a bit worn out in comparison to others. Whether they’re a giant hulking space warlord or a dark, alternate version of the hero, there are plenty of Superman villains who don’t get enough credit.

While he may be a far more minor foe of the Man of Steel, the incredibly underrated villain of this iconic hero is none other than The Atomic Skull, also known as Albert Michaels. He’s a great example of how much heavy lifting a great design for a character can do. While not being used by the writers for many in-depth stories, the design for this bad guy makes him immediately recognizable.

The Atomic Skull looks so cool and, depending on the variant of the character one is watching, he can be either a tragic soul or a monster beyond redemption. Nuclear powers are very fun to work with as a writer, and they pose an interesting threat to Superman—given the fact that while The Atomic Skull’s nuclear radiation may not be able to do much to Supes, he could devastate the human body with little-to-no effort.

General Zod

There’s no question that General Zod is almost as famous a villain to Kal-El as Lex Luthor is, and there’s a reason that he’s been used in Superman media as often as he has been. A vital piece of the hero’s origin is the fact that his home world of Krypton was destroyed when he was a mere child—before he could truly know it—and that’s where Zod comes in as an fascinating antithesis to this.

Zod is also from Krypton, but lived his entire life there, so he has such a larger attachment to the planet and its people than Kal-El ever could have. This led him to become a foe thanks to the trauma that he suffered seeing his home destroyed. For his entire life, the titular hero thought he was the sole survivor of the former planet, so not only is Zod a gigantic surprise for him, but it also serves to be a look at what Superman could have potentially become if he had lived in his home world for longer.

Darkseid

While, at first glance, some may immediately assume that the terrifying Darkseid is a Justice League villain only—and he has been a foe to them plenty of times—he’s also been a solo Superman villain many times, as well. Kind of like how, over at Marvel, Kingpin is both a Spider-Man and Daredevil villain; Darkseid is just as much a villain to the Man of Steel alone as he is to the entire Justice League.

He’s a personal archenemy to the hero and is genuinely one of the most powerful villains in the DC Comics universe. Who better to face one of the most powerful superheroes of all time than one of the strongest supervillains of all time? He poses a challenge to Superman that truly no other foes are able to, making him so interesting when he appears in a book.

Bizarro

There’s no villain like the likes of Bizarro. Coming from an alternate, flipped reality, Bizarro is an iteration of Superman that is pretty much inverted—with the best version of the character being seen in Superman & Lois. He may be funny in the sense that he’s a character that speaks in opposites and looks creepy, but he’s also abundantly tragic. He’ll never live up to the “real world” version of himself, which plagues him.

He’s also a very complex character, not always being a villain, with his morality going back and forth. The character is often used as a highlight of why Clark Kent’s genuineness and honor, showing exactly what it would look like if a man like him had zero responsibility to pair with his absolute power—as stated in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

Livewire

If Spider-Man’s Electro isn’t already proof, electricity-powered villains are always very cool to watch, given the visual spectacle that they present, as well as the massive power that comes with them. Superman has an electric villain of his own named Livewire—also known as Leslie Willis. She finds herself standing out as special compared to the rest of the world’s electricity baddies thanks to her punk-rock vibe, chaotic energy, and her focus on the age of media.

Rather than having some tear-jerking sob story, Livewire honestly just adores having power and causing pandemonium. Having an agent of chaos like this face off with a character like Clark Kent is super entertaining, and she’s another great antithesis to the kind of hero that the DC Comics icon is.

Manchester Black

This British foe isn’t just a mental threat to Superman through his telekinesis, but because his ideals as a character are the perfect foil to who the Man of Steel is at his core. DC’s iconic hero is a very special kind of guy, and he has a villain who can truly deconstruct the way that he looks at life—his relentless optimism—and challenge him in a whole new way. Being an abundantly powerful telepath, he knows the hero’s secret identity, using it against him.

In his heart, Manchester Black is a man who is a realist at heart. He consistently tries to get the big blue boy scout to break his no-kill rule. He’s savagely honest, acting almost as a devil on the shoulder for the reader who questions whether Superman’s hope for the world and humanity is really that realistic and worth all the effort. This helps set him apart from the rest of his rogues’ gallery, not being a mustache-twirling bad guy, but a rough-around-the-edges mastermind instead.

Everyone and their mother knows that Kryptonite—the iconic green, glowing rock from Krypton—is Superman’s biggest weakness. “That’s my Kryptonite” has become such a popular phrase that pretty much everyone knows it, regardless of whether they’re a Superman fan or not. What if there was a villain that was literally made of the material, though? That comes in the form of the one and only Metallo—a robotic man with Kryptonite for a heart.

There have been a couple versions of Metallo over the years, but the John Corben iteration is quite easily the best and most interesting. He’s got a tragic edge to him— he’s a titan that can face Kryptonians in fist-to-fist combat and is a perfect plot foil to Clark, being emotionless and lacking complete empathy. Besides, what could look cooler than what is essentially a Terminator with a Kryptonite heart?

Mr. Mxyzptlk

Mister Mxyzptlk smiling

Superman is a very physically driven superhero when it comes to fighting his enemies most of the time. With someone with powers like his, it only makes sense that writers write him to fight villains that he can punch, laser, freeze breath at, and more. However, things get real fun when he gets to face a foe that he can’t reasonably fight physically—one that challenges him on a mental and strategic level more than anything. That is most definitely the case with Mr. Mxyzptlk—a 5th-dimensional imp who can literally warp reality with omnipotent power.

Mr. Mxyzptlk absolutely overpowers Superman when it comes to powers. Therefore, Superman can’t face him as he normally would. How on Earth does someone face a 5th-dimensional being like that? The only real way to send him back to said 5th dimension is to make him spell his own name backwards, so Clark can only best this guy by outsmarting him. He’s a true test to the hero’s mind.

Parasite

DC Comics' Parasite lunging forward, bearing his teeth and stretching his arm out to attack.

One of the most underrated Superman villains is, without a doubt, that of Parasite. As stated, one of the biggest appeals of Superman in a fight is how much raw power he has. Another villain that takes said power and makes it less important—it even makes his power work against him—is the one and only Parasite.

This character can not only rip the hero’s powers from him, but also life energy and memories. Much like Mr. Mxyzptlk, Parasite forces Superman to think and outsmart him, rather than using straightforward, raw power. Depending on who’s writing the character, he can have a truly tragic background and origin, making him even more compelling than a lot of villains Superman typically faces.

Brainiac

DC Comic's Brainiac deep in thought

Easily, the most famous Superman villain next to Lex Luthor is the iconic Brainiac. Akin to how Darkseid operates, Brainiac has been a villain to the entire Justice League, at times, but he’s primarily a Superman villain. This terrifying threat is a legendary DC Comics character that almost every comic book fan knows.

The massive amount of power that Brainiac holds is one that truly challenges Superman on every single level. He’s unique—collecting cities for their knowledge and leaving their worlds in the dust to die—and is different from every DC or Marvel Comics character out there. He has supreme, more-than-genius-level intelligence that keeps him one step ahead of Kal-El at every single turn. He’s also often deeply rooted in the destruction of Krypton in some way, shape, or form, which connects him to the Man of Steel. He’s going to be the villain of DC Studios’ Man of Tomorrow, with Lars Eidinger being cast in the role.

Remember the days when milk or a bottle of formula kept your little one fed and full? They might seem like a distant memory now — especially if you’ve got a kid who seems to survive solely on love, air and the occasional cracker. Rather than spiraling about whether they’re getting enough nutrients (or attempting to force-feed them bites of that professional-grade meal you whipped up), Hiya has a better idea: Kids Daily Growth + Protein powder.

This supplement is the solution many parents and caregivers have been searching for. Instead of resorting to a sugary shake or experimenting with options made for adults, this clean, grass-fed whey protein powder was created specifically for kids ages two and over. It even includes prebiotics for digestion and gut health, healthy fats to support brain development and zero junk. You won’t find artificial sweeteners, dyes or unnecessary sugar in this mix!

What really sets Hiya’s Kids Daily Growth + Protein apart from others on the market is the company itself. All of its products were formulated alongside pediatricians and are backed by science. Plus, the brand takes safety standards seriously. The protein powder, for instance, was put through rigorous testing for heavy metals and even received certification from the Clean Label Project Purity Award, so you can rest easy knowing your child is getting the best of the best to support their growth.

What’s also great is that you can serve Hiya’s protein powder in a variety of ways. Simply mix 8-10 oz with water or milk, add it to a smoothie or sneak it into baked goods. It’s creamy and tastes like vanilla, so it’s virtually undetectable — and pretty delicious, too.

One reviewer pointed out how great the powder is for picky eaters, saying “it mixes well and my child actually drinks it without any complaints.”

“It’s an easy way to help fill in nutritional gaps on those days when meals don’t go quite as planned and I can’t get him to eat well,” they continued. “Definitely one I’d recommend to other parents!”

Rather than continuing to do ‘Parent Math’ and attempting to track the nutritional value of each puff, cracker and crumb your child barely ate that day, add Hiya’s protein powder to cart. Each canister holds 30 scoops (a month’s supply) and, as a bonus, comes with stickers for decorating and personalizing. You’ll also get 40% off your first order, making the deal even better.

One day, you might look back on this time and laugh, but until then, there’s no shame in getting help when and where you can. Ensure they’re growing and getting what they need with this nutritional must-have.

Ahead of their 50-year wedding anniversary, Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw are reflecting on their secrets to a successful marriage, their relationship with faith and more in a rare interview.

“We’ve truly treasured every year of our life together — every 10 years of our life together, every momentous occasion, birthdays, holidays,” Robin, 72, exclusively tells Us in a joint interview with her husband. “But this anniversary is a huge accomplishment to us and we’re just really very proud.”

Dr. Phil, 75, and Robin went on to discuss the lessons they’ve learned for sustaining a long-lasting union.

“Just ask yourself, what can you do today to make their life a little better? It doesn’t have to be a big thing, but those little things add up,” he shares. “Small behaviors accumulate to big results across time — and it means you’re not thinking about yourself. You’re thinking about your partner.”

Dr. Phil continues: “A lot of people would be well served if they got out of themselves and focused on their partner more.”

In addition to celebrating their marriage milestone, Dr. Phil and Robin are also still focused on their careers — and their philanthropic work.

“We also certainly intend to rack up some more years as being husband and wife and parents and grandparents,” Dr. Phil tells Us, while Robin adds, “Our No. 1 priority is being parents to our children and being grandparents to our grandchildren. I think a celebratory future is what we’re looking forward to.”

Keep scrolling for Dr. Phil and Robin’s candid conversation with Us about their early days as a couple, their lives now out of the spotlight and what they are looking forward to next:

How do the two of you feel as you prepare to celebrate 50 years of marriage?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Robin: I get so emotional. I hope I don’t cry through this entire process because it’s been it’s very, very beautiful time for us right now. I’ve talked about it almost for the last year because I do believe it’s a huge milestone and we’re really very proud of ourselves.

Dr. Phil: It’s overwhelming when you talk about it because I don’t feel like I’m old enough to be married 50 years. I don’t feel any different than I felt when I was 50. So how could I be married 50 years? It’s really flown by.

Take Us back to when you started dating. How did you meet?

Robin: Oh, good. I love this question.

Dr. Phil: I really wish you hadn’t asked that question.

Robin: We met because he has a sister that I went to high school with. We’re the same age, [but] we weren’t best friends. We knew each other, we really liked each other and we [crossed paths] after we graduated.

She told me she was now dating a man that is a pilot from the Air Force base in our town. She said, “He has a roommate, so why don’t I hook you up with him and we have a double date?” I go to her house to go get ready, but this pilot they’ve hooked me up with gets weathered in somewhere, so I don’t have the date.

She said, “Well, Doug and I — and she did go on to marry him, so he is now our brother-in-law — will have a quick dinner and I’ll come home. You just chill.” The last thing she said was, “Oh, but by the way, you have to be really quiet. My brother is in town and he’s been really sick.” I said, “I didn’t even know you had a brother.”

I go to the kitchen to get a bottle of water and there sits this brother in the family room. The TV is on and I walk through, and he goes, “Who are you?” So we didn’t really start off on a real friendly note, but he said, “Would you like to sit down and watch this movie with me?” I said yes and we’ve been together ever since.

Dr. Phil: I didn’t say it quite that harshly.

Robin: He was very grumpy. I actually asked him, “Are you always this grumpy and rude?”

Dr. Phil: Well, we went out the next night.

Robin: He asked me out the next night. It was our first date and we’ve been together ever since.

Did you know right away that the other person was The One?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Robin: As much grief as I’m giving him about that first night we met, it was love at first sight for me. I knew right then I was going to marry this man. I knew that first night because underneath that big bear was a teddy bear. He was rough and gruff and not very friendly, but I knew he was just a teddy bear. He was really sweet.

Dr. Phil: I was sick. What can I tell you? I had a man cold.

But I have to say that when she first came through, I thought, “Am I delirious? This doesn’t happen.” I’m just sitting here in the den and she comes walking through. I thought there’s got to be something destined here, so I did ask her out. The next night we just went walking around …

Robin: Here it comes. We’ll never agree on this part.

Dr. Phil: We walked right past the church, and just as we’re at the sidewalk that leads straight into the double door, she said, “How do you feel about marriage?” And I looked at those doors to the church and I looked at her and I thought, “You mean right now? Did you lead me here to this sidewalk to the church?” I thought, “Holy God!”

Robin: It did not happen on that first date. It happened on the third date.

Dr. Phil: Bulls***. It was the first date.

Robin: It was the third date and I was serious. I knew I was going to marry him. I needed to know how he felt about marriage because I didn’t want to waste my time or I needed to know how much work I had in front of me because I was going to marry this man.

You got engaged on Valentine’s Day and married six months later. Were you just excited to finally be husband and wife?

Dr. Phil: Apparently, we made the right decision because it’s been 50 years and we’re still together, have two grown sons and four grandchildren.

Robin: Being a grandparent has caused us to be what I call in the dessert phase of our life. It’s truly the most beautiful phase of our life. It’s like having dessert every day.

What do you remember about your wedding day?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw on 50 Years of Marriage, Faith and Hollywood Exit
Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Robin: We laugh about it now because we were very poor. We both grew up poor, but we created our wedding ceremony for ourselves. We have a wedding picture that we were looking at earlier and my wedding dress cost $100. I had to put it in layaway back then and pay $5 a week for it. He’s wearing a white tuxedo and I still kick myself, like, “Why did I put him in a white tuxedo?” I’m thinking maybe it was because it was less expensive than renting a black one.

We got married in the chapel of the church. We had a little reception where we had punch and cookies. But we couldn’t really afford a photographer, so we just had friends and family take the photos.

Does the date hold any significance?

Dr. Phil: Before we got married, I said, “Look, I’m in psychology. You can do nothing with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, you have to at least get a master’s degree so you can practice.” I said, “At least let me get my master’s degree so I can put a roof over our head.” So I got my master’s degree on August 14, 1976. We got married August 14, 1976. I didn’t waste a minute.

What about your honeymoon?

Dr. Phil: We took a honeymoon and we wound up that night in Juarez, Mexico, at Club Campestre Juarez. It was, like, a 6,000-square-foot room. It had, like, five bedrooms.

Robin: But then we got to California and part of our honeymoon was to go to The Price Is Right show and we did. We still have the little name tags that you wear. Then many years later, Philip had the honor of presenting Bob Barker …

Dr. Phil: When he retired, I was there. We didn’t get picked for contestants back in the day or we were on the list.

Have you considered having another ceremony 50 years later?

Robin: We haven’t actually thought of that. Why haven’t I put you in a beautiful black tux and bought a dress instead of putting one on layaway? But we just haven’t. We haven’t really felt like it’s necessary to do that because we’re so proud of our 50 years. We celebrate every anniversary with a wedding cake. It’s just been our tradition.

I’m really proud of that one ceremony and how it has progressed.

Dr. Phil: Her wedding dress was $100 and $315 for her wedding ring. But I see people spend millions on weddings and they last a year. We spent less than $500 bucks on everything and it’s stuck for 50 years. So pretty good Return on Investment.

What have been some of the biggest challenges you’ve navigated together?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw on 50 Years of Marriage, Faith and Hollywood Exit
Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Dr. Phil: Every relationship has challenges and it’s how much you invest in something. Probably the scariest moment in my whole life was when our second son, Jordan, was 12 and he got diagnosed with a really bizarre and rare cancer in the shin of his leg. They had to do an operation and put in artificial bone. … That was probably the most scared and helpless I’ve been in the 75 years of my life.

Robin: There’s nothing more challenging than to face an ordeal or a trauma with your children. When our first son was born, he was just 3 weeks old and he had to go in for surgery because his stomach was slowly growing shut … and he was not getting nourished.

How has your faith helped bring you even closer together during these times?

Robin: We both have a very, very strong faith and we do rely on that every day — in trauma and in joy. It’s very important to us to have our faith with us. I’ve always believed that whatever we’re going through — good or bad — it is because of God’s love. That’s part of a plan and so we question nothing.

Dr. Phil: It’s been really important to raise our boys in a faith-based home. I’ve always tried to emphasize that with both of them — through prayer and conversation — and we raised them up in the church and now they’re both fathers.

I’ve been so proud of the way they’ve stepped up and you see generational legacy carried out.

After you got married, Dr. Phil’s star was on the rise. How did you navigate that success as a couple?

Robin: I’ve always thought that Philip was brilliant, and when he had this opportunity to take on this new experience in life, I was all for it. I was thrilled. We all were because we thought you needed to share what you know and who you are with the world.

Being in the public eye obviously leads to outside opinions. What is the biggest misconception people who don’t know you have about you as a couple?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw on 50 Years of Marriage, Faith and Hollywood Exit
Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Dr. Phil: It’s not fun for anybody, but I’ve never been one of those people that needs to be loved by strangers. It doesn’t mean that you don’t notice it, but we’ve had so many stories written about us. I was identified as a marriage and family [specialist] and all that kind of stuff. There were probably 50 to 100 stories written about us getting a divorce. And here we are, 50 years married. We’ve never even been separated. We’ve never even spoken the D-word in our lives. Never, ever, for even one second.

Robin: The only time I’ve been to a courthouse is because I was the national spokesperson for CASA [Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children]. But for me to go to the courthouse was not ever because of this man.

The only problem with it for me was the photos they would choose to use. It was like, “Can I not get a good photo? Do they have to pick these photos?” I’ll never forget the one time I got a good photo, I made the best dinner that night.

What would the outside world be most surprised about when it comes to you as individuals and your marriage? What does a typical Friday night look like for you?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw on 50 Years of Marriage, Faith and Hollywood Exit

Robin: A Friday night for us is he works really hard all day. He plays tennis in the evenings and we have a tennis court in our backyard in our Dallas home. He’ll come in and we order food that we enjoy from a restaurant in town — I don’t cook anymore. I cooked for 40 years and I don’t cook that much anymore.

But he has the food apps on his phone. He’s tried to put them on my phone, but I refuse because I don’t want to be responsible for getting the food that we’re going to eat in the evening. He has to do that.

Dr. Phil: We really enjoy our home. We have friends that we love to spend time with and we love being home alone too. We stay busy, but we’re pretty much homebodies. We still have our home in Beverly Hills and we have a home here in Texas. But you’ve never seen us on a lot of red carpets because that’s just not something we really do. We’re always invited and we graciously decline.

If we go out, we may go nowhere.

What about for your anniversary?

Robin: He is taking me to Paris for our anniversary.

Dr. Phil: Well, the pressure is on. It’s been 50 years. But we enjoy each other’s company and we enjoy being at home. Right now we have a cat farm after we actually started feeding some community cats around here. At one point, we had 16 cats coming over to get fed.

Then we realized this is going to get out of control. So we captured them all and had them all spayed or neutered. But we’ve got, like, five cat dishes in a row outside and water. We have to put heaters out there in the winter to keep them warm and fans out.

And you are still working?

Dr. Phil: Yes. Everything now is moving so much in the digital direction. I have a linear network, Envoy TV, but you know, everything is moving so much in the digital direction, so we’re very active on all the streamers. It’s just growing so fast. I thought that it would go well. I had no idea it would go as well as it’s going. So it’s just been amazing.

Robin, what has been the best part of joining your husband on this professional venture?

Robin: I’ve always said I was there to support him and the entire show, so I didn’t really have a role there. I wasn’t some expert that was a part of the show. I really went there as a support for him. So if I was on the show, it was because I was just there as a woman, a wife, a mother, a grandmother. So if I contributed in any way, it was so that I could just be myself.

Dr. Phil: I think she’s really understating her role. A big part of my demo has always been women — mothers and wives — and Robin has always been my feminine side. She has been one of the most important voices and ambassadors in fighting domestic violence from the standpoint of women and children. So to say she didn’t really have a role other than just kind of be there to cheer me on, there are a lot of people — including me — that would disagree with that. She has played a vital role in developing the Dr. Phil brand and making sure that it was balanced from the feminine side and being a leading voice in the fight against domestic violence.

Dr. Phil, after spending your career helping couples, is there one piece of insight you picked up?

Dr. Phil: [Going back to Robin’s advocacy], the opportunity to take her wisdom forward and share it with others is what makes it all worthwhile. Robin has been a vital part of that and I’ve learned from it. That’s why I’m not quitting.

I feel like I have things left to say and I hope when people look at us — we don’t hold ourselves out as some paragon of mental health or marital bliss — but I do think having gotten together and stayed together for 50 years and raised kids that went through it all and became good fathers and husbands, it’s maybe a place for people to look and say, “You can do this, and you can make it pay off. And there is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

I hope we can be good role models in that regard. Not that we’re perfect, because we’re not. We don’t strive for perfection. But I hope that we give people some hope that there’s something out there to strive for.

You are still just as booked and busy.

Dr. Phil: My career … I get to do it. I don’t have to do it. It’s not something I have to do. So I look forward to it every day. And Robin supported me in everything I’ve ever done. That’s no small deal. That is no small deal to have a partner that supports you in everything you do.

If you could go back and give your younger selves one piece of relationship advice, what would it be?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw on 50 Years of Marriage, Faith and Hollywood Exit
Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Robin: The advice I would give to my younger self is probably not [to] carry into what worked in my childhood, expecting it to work in my marriage. I was a bit spoiled or pampered growing up. So pouting worked for me. If I didn’t get my way or didn’t get what I wanted, I just pouted and my father would give in right away.

I thought it would work with my husband and it did not work with him. He just couldn’t tolerate it. He said, “If I do or say something that upsets you — within reason — I promise you that if you just tell me, I will never do it again.”

Dr. Phil: I would tell myself to be more patient, because patience is not my strong suit. Professionally, I am patient. Personally, I don’t have patience. I want everything done right now. I would be more patient and I would probably be more outgoing because I’m very, very shy.

People often ask about the “secret” to a lasting marriage. Is there something you try to implement in your marriage?

Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw on 50 Years of Marriage, Faith and Hollywood Exit
Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw

Dr. Phil: In a marriage, you get out of it what you put into it. If you wake up every day and say, “What can I do today to make her life better?” It doesn’t have to be buy[ing] her a new car or send[ing] her flowers.

Like, there are certain things — and I don’t know if it matters as much to her as it does to me. But there’s something about her sitting in front of dirty dishes. I think she should have better than that. So I will clear those away if I go by and see it. That would just make things better if she had a nice clear space.

Robin: A secret that I truly believe has worked for 50 years is we had a lot of conversations before we got married about what kind of marriage we wanted to have. We got really vulnerable and we got real. In those conversations, I learned what buttons I could push to upset him or make him mad. I learned those buttons and I choose every day for 50 years not to push those buttons. I [made] a choice every day for 50 years not to do that.

Dr. Phil: I came from a very dysfunctional family — [an] incredibly dysfunctional family. So I just like peace.

Robin: So when you know what’s going to upset your partner and you do it anyway, that’s not good. I know what makes him happy and I choose to do that.

40 Years Later, This ’80s Cult Classic Star Officially Wants a Reboot, ‘Cobra Kai’ Style [Exclusive]

Published

on

big-trouble-in-little-china-movie-poster.jpg

The success of the streaming series Cobra Kai brought The Karate Kid back with a modern-day twist and proved that the martial arts epics of the 1980s still have resonance in the modern day. Now, one of the stars of John Carpenter‘s Big Trouble in Little China has a similar idea for that film. Actor James Pax discussed the movie’s legacy at a panel marking its 40th anniversary at Big Lick Comic Con, which was moderated by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt.

Pax starred as Lightning alongside Kurt Russell in Big Trouble; he also appeared in movies like Invasion USA, Year of the Dragon, and Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects. He’s become a regular at conventions, and is often asked about a sequel to the movie. He knows exactly what he’d do with it, and thinks it could run four or five seasons:

“I said, well, you know, 20th Century Fox has the rights, and they haven’t done it for 40 years. But then why do they do Karate Kid and make it into Cobra Kai, and not Big Trouble, right? So I say to myself, I’m a director now, and I’m a screenwriter; I’m going to take the helm and be the writer and the director. So the next time when I see Kurt, I’m gonna tell him: ‘Kurt! You wanna partner up with me? I’m gonna write it, I’m gonna direct it, and you’re still gonna be the star of it, but we’re gonna put some younger guys in it, and make it a sequel, but then there’ll be some episodes with prequel in it.’ You know, I think he’s gonna be very excited.”

A belated follow-up to The Karate Kid films, Cobra Kai starred Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as one-time teenage karate rivals Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, respectively. Decades away from their 1980s enmity, they find themselves in conflict again when they open their own warring dojos. The series ran for six seasons and 65 episodes, premiering in 2018 on now-defunct streaming service YouTube Red before concluding on Netflix.

Your Perfect Band Is Revealed
Advertisement

Based on your personality, energy, and taste, the classic rock band that matches your soul is…

⚡ AC/DC

You are pure, undiluted rock energy. You don’t need tricks, trends, or theatrical gimmicks — you have something more powerful: a riff that hits like a thunderbolt and an attitude that never wavers. Like AC/DC, you understand that simplicity executed with absolute conviction is its own form of genius. You’re the person in the room who doesn’t overthink it, doesn’t pretend, and never turns the volume down. The highway to hell is a state of mind — and you’ve been on it since day one.

👅 The Rolling Stones

You’ve got swagger that can’t be taught. Rooted in the blues and soaked in street-level attitude, you move through life with a loose, dangerous elegance that draws people in without ever trying too hard. Like the Stones, you’ve seen it all, done most of it, and somehow look better for it. You’re not chasing perfection — you’re chasing truth, groove, and that electric moment when everything clicks. Can’t always get what you want? You tend to get it anyway.

👑 Queen

You are magnificent, and you know it — not from arrogance, but from an unshakeable sense of self that has never needed anyone’s permission. Like Queen, you defy every category people try to place you in. You blend the epic with the intimate, the operatic with the anthemic, the serious with the playful. You live boldly, love fiercely, and perform every aspect of your life as though the whole world is watching. Because sometimes it is. We are the champions — and so are you.

🎸 The Beatles

You have the rarest of gifts: the ability to make something that feels both deeply personal and universally human. Like The Beatles, you’re a natural connector — someone whose warmth, curiosity, and creative instincts draw people together across every divide. You believe in melody, in craftsmanship, and in the quiet power of a song that says exactly what someone needed to hear. You’ve changed the people around you just by being who you are. All you need is love — and you give it generously.

Thanks to lawyer Gracie Law (Kim Cattrall), they trace the abduction to David Lo Pan (James Hong), a respected elderly businessman who’s actually an immortal sorcerer. They’re no match for his powers, or for the three mighty elemental warriors in his service: Thunder (Carter Wong), Rain (Peter Kwong), and Lightning (Pax). What’s more, Lo Pan now plans to take Gracie as his bride…and he’s stolen Jack’s beloved truck, the Pork Chop Express. Jack and Wang are going to have to team up with eccentric wizard and tour bus driver Egg Shen (Victor Wong) to take down Lo Pan once and for all. Star Cat’s Brittany Hall Reveals What the Wet Tank Worn by Hilary Duff and Kim Kardashian Actually Feels Like

Star Cat's Brittany Hall Reveals What the Wet Tank Worn by Hilary Duff and Kim Kardashian Actually Feels Like

Wet T-shirt contest? Not quite. Brittany Hall of Star Cat is behind The Wet Tank, the barely-there top spotted on Hilary Duff, Kim Kardashian, Tate McRaeSZADoja Cat, Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry, Camila Cabello, and Carrie Underwood.

While the classic pink, black, or white ribbed tanks look like they’ve been drenched in water (with black or white lace bras peeking through), there’s no towel required here.

Taylor Healey/Instagram

“The Wet Tank has been a concept on my work desk for so long. … Starting from a very young age, I noticed the powerful energy that fashion and costumes could give to someone. I would get lost in the detailing of that energy and I understood that I too wanted to play and explore fashion and how it could align with what I was feeling inside,” she tells ET.

Whether the vibe is moody, sexy, sensual, chic, or edgy, the statement-making shirt is designed to make a splash.

“An element to my work is very playful and a bit avant garde. … The Wet Tank seemed so cheeky and trippy to me, I had to explore what it would look like in real life,” she adds.

SZA/Instagram

Turning the illusion into reality starts close to home, with each one custom-made in Los Angeles, California.

“I love my city. We have been through a lot, and the communities here are resilient. … I always want my environment to reflect the quality of my work and L.A. is home and certainly made of quality,” the founder notes.

Once your order is in, expect to wait a little over a week before slipping into the celeb-loved creation.

But if you’re wondering what it’s like to wear something that looks like it’s soaking wet: “They feel a bit like jelly. They are soft, flexible, and form to the body. They are a bit more breathable than latex but have a similar feel. They are comfortable and supportive, for sure,” Hall explains.

Carrie Underwood/Instagram

As for styling? There’s plenty of room to make it your own.

“People dress them up and make the top more elevated by wearing it with silks and accessories, or they’ll be casual for different events and festivals. I want people to choose their own adventure.”

That sense of individuality carries through all of Hall’s work, including one-of-a-kind looks for TylaSabrina Carpenter, Tinashe, and Shakira.

“There has been such a large range of different people that have enjoyed and resonated with Star Cat, which has honestly been one of the loveliest parts of this journey. … I think it connects with other creative types and artists because it is a bit different and fun.”

Now, she’s giving fans even more ways to wear her line with the Tortured Gardens collection featuring dresses, handbags, and brooches.

“I’m really enjoying the mixed textures and colors together. The layered shiny satin and distressed silk lace has been so fun and romantic to explore. … It was time to challenge myself and let new creative ideas process and flow.”

Star Cat

While natural elements remain rooted in her creative process, the designer is diving even deeper.

“I’ve been exploring concepts that are aligned with water, earth, and air, but also the life cycles of birth, rebirth, and afterlife. … This collection feels a bit more elevated with new fabrics and techniques.”

Kristen Stewart Talks Working With Her Wife

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer attend AFI Fest The Chronology of Water’ Special Screening

Kristen Stewart and her wife, Dylan Meyer, are attached by the hip; movie sets are not exempt!

The actress shared her experience spending time with her wife on the set of their new movie “The Wrong Girls” and how she did not give her any reason to reconsider casting her in the movie.

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer got married on April 20, 2025, in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles over a decade after they first connected on a movie set.

The star actress was side by side with the love of her life as she made her directorial debut with the new movie, and she confessed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that working with her wife was an instant yes from her.

Stewart broke down the concept of making movies with somebody as an act of intimacy, and when they come out good, the love becomes apparent. The actress continued that it made total sense for her to work with her closest friends and family, hence her decision to accept Meyer’s directions for the project.

According to US Magazine, on whether people tried to change her mind about working with her wife, Stewart responded to Fallon that her personality would have never allowed that kind of thought or suggestion to fester. In her words:

“I’m a sort of exceptionally demanding and direct person, so no. I was just like, ‘You’re going to make the movie without me? No.’”

Stewart was filled with adoration for Meyer for her choices in the film, especially the soundtrack. She described her wife as a really “cool girl.”

Stewart’s sweetheart is no stranger to the workings of the industry, just like her partner. Meyer was born to Nicholas Meyer, an Oscar-nominated screenwriter who has birthed iconic productions like “Star Trek IV: The Voyage,” “Time After Time,” and “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.”

Meyer also has a handful of incredible screenwriting credits to her name, leaving her imprints on successful projects including “Moxie,” “Miss 2059,” “Loose Ends,” “Rock Bottom,” and many others. The Blast shared that when she is not behind the scenes directing or writing movies, she is also showing off her acting skills.

The 38-year-old’s acting credits also boast projects like “The Death and Return of Superman,” “Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailer,” and “Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling.”

Meyer, alongside Maggie McLean and Stewart, founded Nevermind Pictures, a production company that signed a first-look deal with “Fremantle” in 2024. Through the company, Meyer became a producer on the biopic of Lidia Yuknavitch, “The Chronology of Water.”

The lovebirds grabbed their marriage license last year at a courthouse in a discreet ceremony at Stewart’s home in Los Angeles. The couple dressed to the nines for the ceremony in matching outfits and simple hairdos, showing off their blonde locs.

Stewart and Meyer got engaged in 2021 when the latter got down on one knee two years after they began dating in 2019. During a previous appearance on Kimmel’s show in 2022, Stewart had shared some interesting plans for their nuptials and plans to hold the wedding at the Oscars if she clinched a win in the best actress category.

Stewart had expressed her wish for Guy Fieri to officiate the ceremony, as she continued that an Oscar wedding meant a free reception, an expansive venue, and a no-stress guest list. The actress had received her first-ever Oscar nomination for her role in the Princess Diana film “Spencer.”

The ‘Twilight’ Actress Revealed She Was Pushed To Define Her Sexuality Before She Was Ready

In 2021, Stewart discussed the initial pressures she felt as a lesbian woman in Hollywood who intended to keep her identity under the radar. She found herself in the spotlight as people began dissecting her sexuality publicly after she stepped out with a woman at age 21, making her question whether she would still figure herself out.

The actress explained that her hesitation to discuss her relationships was never rooted in embarrassment about being with women. Rather, she resented feeling as though intimate parts of her identity and romantic life belonged to the public, an experience that ultimately made her more guarded.

Her love life later took a major turn with Meyer six years after the pair initially crossed paths on a movie set. When the couple reconnected at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2019, Stewart was immediately smitten, and she wondered how they had spent years living in the same city without finding their way back to each other.

Prior to their engagement becoming public, Stewart and Meyer sparked speculation about a secret marriage after they were spotted wearing rings in July 2021.

When the actress is not discussing sexuality or relationships, she also uses her platform to challenge the treatment of women in Hollywood. As noted by The Blast, Stewart addressed some issues in her fiery speech at the Academy and Chanel’s 2025 Women’s Luncheon.

She slammed the culture of “big boyism” in Hollywood and how it shut the doors to female talent in the industry despite the impression that things were becoming more progressive. Her experience making her directorial debut on “The Chronology of Water” changed her perspective.

She accused Hollywood of publicly championing women while continuing to operate under a system that sidelines their voices and weakens their creative authority. The actress claimed actors, particularly women, are often treated poorly and regarded as though their jobs require little thought or intelligence.

After she became a director, Stewart discovered that suddenly people were approaching her as an entity whose ideas were worth listening to. She also recalled a conversation with a respected male actor that highlighted the disparity.

According to her, male directors are often praised for being movie visionaries, and actresses may be seen as little more than tools to execute the director’s vision.

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer are soulmates in every sense!

Jill Zarin Mourns ‘Best Friend’ After Devastating Loss

Published

Jill Zarin at Andy's Legends Ball Red Carpet at BravoCon

Jill Zarin is grieving the loss of the woman she describes as the heart of her family. The former “Real Housewives of New York” star announced on Tuesday that her mother, Gloria Kamen, had died at 91, sharing a deeply personal tribute alongside photographs spanning her mother’s life.

For Zarin, the loss is more than the passing of a beloved parent. It marks the death of her “best friend,” mentor, and the woman whose wisdom helped shape generations of her family.

Jill Zarin announced the tragedy on Instagram on Tuesday, revealing her mom passed away that morning at 91.

Rather than focusing solely on the circumstances of her death, Jill’s tribute centered on the enormous role Kamen played throughout her life.

“She was my best friend, my mentor, and the most important person in my life,” Zarin wrote, capturing the relationship they shared.

She also described her mother as “the heart of our family” for 68 years, noting her devotion to Zarin’s father and her reputation for speaking the truth. “She was everyone’s therapist, everyone’s voice of reason,” the TV personality added.

Kamen’s influence was not confined to private family conversations. Zarin, her sister Lisa and their mother collaborated on the 2010 book “Secrets of a Jewish Mother,” turning Kamen’s experiences and advice into a shared project.

Zarin described the book as a reflection of “the wisdom that made her unforgettable.”

Kamen’s influence also found its way into Jill Zarin’s public identity, making her connection to “The Real Housewives of New York” especially personal.

The 62-year-old appeared on the Bravo series from 2008 to 2011, but in remembering her mother, she gave Kamen a title that placed her above the reality television franchise itself.

“The real OG housewife who raised incredible women and touched the lives of millions with her counsel and kindness,” Zarin wrote.

She revealed that her mother left behind “a legacy that can’t be measured,” one that will continue through her grandchildren Allyson, Jonathan, Joanna and Yotam, along with her first great-grandchild, Abby.

Zarin closed the tribute by acknowledging the personal lessons her mother left behind, including her judgment about Zarin’s father. “You picked the best father I could ever ask for and you were always right about everything even if it took me a while to see it,” she wrote.

She also thanked Kamen for giving her “the most beautiful family,” before writing, “She will be deeply missed and never ever forgotten.”

The deeply personal tribute to Kamen also prompted an immediate outpouring of support from Zarin’s followers, many of whom reflected on the impact Kamen appeared to have had on her daughter and those around her.

One person wrote, “Sending you and your family healing prayers and love during this difficult time. May the memories of her beautiful life be a part of your heart always.”

Another commenter described Kamen as “the absolute best person, adopted mother, confidant and true warrior.”

They added, “I counted on her for advice on everything and anything. She is already so missed and I will hold all our time spent together and conversations so dear to my heart forever.”

Others offered prayers for Jill and her family, with one writing, “Oh Jill, I am so sorry!! Prayers for everyone and especially your beloved daddy!!! RIP Gloria, what a glorious legacy you leave!!”

Another fan called Kamen “such a wonderful, wise person” while sending prayers to Zarin and her family during the difficult time.

Kamen’s importance in Jill Zarin’s life was evident long before the reality star announced her mother’s death, and one particularly emotional moment came when the star shared a glimpse of her mom during a 2022 health scare.

In November of that year, the former reality TV star revealed that her mother had been hospitalized in Florida after suffering an undisclosed medical issue.

Per Page Six, Zarin posted a video from the hospital, giving followers a look at her time with Kamen during Thanksgiving. The footage showed Zarin alongside her mother as they spent the holiday together.

Although Zarin did not publicly disclose extensive details about Gloria’s condition, the hospital visit showcased the closeness between the two women.

Away from her personal life, Zarin has been navigating a very public year. Her return to reality television took an unexpected turn when the comeback she had been preparing for suddenly disappeared.

As The Blast reported, the star was dropped from E!’s upcoming “The Golden Life” in February after comments she made about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance sparked backlash.

Zarin had been announced as part of the series alongside fellow “RHONY” originals Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan, who were set to reunite in Palm Beach.

In a since-deleted Instagram video, Zarin called the performance “the worst halftime show ever” and questioned the decision to have it performed in Spanish, while also criticizing the choreography and suggesting it was political.

Blink49 Studios subsequently confirmed that it would no longer move forward with her involvement, saying, “In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life.”

Zarin later said she removed the video “right away” and added, “People make mistakes. I’m human.” Dorinda Medley was subsequently added to the cast in her place.

Cristiano Ronaldo Responds After Fans Invade Portugal Wedding

Cristiano Ronaldo, along with Georgina Rodriguez and her son, meet Edu Aguirre and his family [**********]

Cristiano Ronaldo responded with humor after intense public speculation led hundreds of eager fans to crash the wrong nuptials in his hometown.

Rumors had swirled across social media and local outlets that the 41-year-old athlete was set to tie the knot with his fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez, in Madeira, Portugal.

However, the overwhelming crowds that descended on the historic venue were met with a major surprise when the actual bride stepped out.

Soccer fan expectations reached a fever pitch on Saturday, August 8, as droves of tourists, journalists, and fans packed the streets surrounding Funchal Cathedral. Most of those present gathered in hopes of witnessing Ronaldo and Rodríguez exchange vows.

According to People Magazine, the gathered crowd completely blocked the entrance to the church. However, they were met with heavy disappointment when the bride arrived, and it turned out to be a local woman named Nicole, who was set to marry a man named Fábio.

Footage and photos of the massive crowd navigating the narrow streets were posted on Instagram, drawing a lighthearted response directly from Ronaldo, who commented with a string of laughing emojis.

Funchal Cathedral later shared photos of the newlyweds on Facebook, writing, “Many congratulations to the couple Nicole and Fábio. After a lot of confusion on the street with so many journalists and tourists, we finally managed to close the church and celebrate.”

In a follow-up post showcasing the crowded entrance, the cathedral added that it “was very difficult for the bride to enter the Cathedral church to get married.”

Cristiano Ronaldo & Georgina Rodriguez Recently Fueled Wedding Rumors During Their Luxury Getaway

Before the hilarious church mix-up in Madeira, speculation surrounding the power couple’s impending nuptials had already heightened following a vacation update.

In late July, Rodríguez shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into her lavish island retreat with Ronaldo. Online observers quickly fixated on a photo taken inside the aircraft, where both Ronaldo and Rodríguez posed, displaying large, matching diamond-studded rings paired with high-end luxury timepieces.

The post’s caption read, “These days I am enjoying a little vacation, inspiring myself and creating with a lot of excitement,” per The Blast

The subtle inclusion of the matching accessories immediately sent fans into overdrive, with many convinced that a secret wedding was set to take place over the upcoming weekend.

The Couple Confirmed Their Engagement Last Year

The excitement surrounding the couple’s relationship first reached a high point when they officially confirmed their intention to marry, accompanied by an extraordinary display of fine jewelry.

The Blast previously reported that in an August 2025 announcement shared on Instagram, Rodríguez gave followers their first look at the massive oval-cut diamond engagement ring given to her by Ronaldo.

Accompanying the intimate photo, Rodríguez posted a heartfelt Spanish caption reading, “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,” which translates to “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

The post drew an outpouring of enthusiastic responses from public figures, fellow influencers, and millions of fans online, who all marveled at the sheer scale of the gemstone.

As much as I love following the latest trends, and even trying some of them out, I’m a basics girlie at heart. My wardrobe is almost entirely made up of a revolving door of essentials I wear constantly, from simple white tees I can dress up or down to comfortable black pants I love enough to buy multiple of.

So when it comes to shopping for these pieces, I’m always on the hunt for high-quality items that can withstand all of the wear and still look good. I would rather invest in truly great pieces I can wear again and again – but I love a good deal even more. Fortunately, Amazon is full of high-quality essentials that look expensive even if they actually aren’t. I’ve put together a list of my favorites that have made the cut and are perfect for your summer wardrobe.

15 Expensive-Looking Easy Basics From Amazon

1. My Favorite: I wear these wide-leg pants so often that I’ve had to buy a second pair just to ensure at least one is always clean. They feel like sweatpants but have just enough of a tailored look to make them come across as more elevated.

2. Runner-Up: When I tell you that I throw this denim button-down on over everything, I’m not exaggerating – it looks good with a simple white tee, a cute dress or wide-leg pants. It’s light, comfortable and makes any outfit feel more stylish.

3. Perfect White Tee: I own an embarrassing amount of white t-shirts, but I only wear some over and over again – this white tee is one of them. It’s perfectly cropped, made of breathable and stretchy cotton and looks good with everything.

4. Relaxed Look: For warm summer days, I love having a selection of different tank tops to choose from. These tanks are stretchy and lightweight without feeling flimsy, and I own them in three different colors.

5. Favorite White Sneaker: White sneakers are my go-to with jeans, sweats and dresses, and I love this Dr. Scholl’s pair. Not only are they comfortable, practical and supportive, but they are also versatile and stylish.

6. On-Trend Moment: These black track pants might be a little trendy at the moment, but they still feel like a basic to me. I throw these on when I want a more sporty chic vibe – and I love that they come in petite sizing as well.

7. For Chilly Nights: I need a sweater nearby at all times, even during the summer, and I love this chunky knit zipper-up. It feels more elevated and put-together than a hoodie and still feels just as cozy.

8. Casual Essential: This striped tee has the perfect boxy, relaxed fit that makes it work so well as a casual favorite. The cotton blend feels super soft and lightweight and I love that the longer sleeves cover my arms.

9. Under $10 Alert: Every wardrobe should have one white tee that has a more body-con fit, and this inexpensive one is my top recommendation. It’s thick, buttery soft and has an almost compression-like feel.

10. Everyday Dress: Made of 100% cotton, this gingham dress is such a win for warm weather. It’s cute and chic without trying too hard, and you can easily dress it up or down.

11. So Versatile: My giant collection of cardigan sweaters wouldn’t be complete without this cropped cardigan from Amazon. It’s lightweight but cozy, with a ribbed hem and slightly stretchy feel that makes it an excellent basic layer.

12. Casual Camis: I’ve been wearing these tank tops, which come in a set of two, all summer because of their flattering fit. They’re thick and have a compression-like feel, plus ruching on the sides that makes you feel so snatched.

13. Must-Have List: A hooded sweatshirt like this one is a must – the minimalist, simple design makes it so versatile. This one is inexpensive, super cozy and works whether you’re home or running errands.

14. So Polished: I love these wide-leg pants because they have a distinctly tailored look that makes them come across as more expensive than they actually are. They’re just stretchy enough and feel like sweats even though they can easily be dressed up.

15. Go-To Denim: It can be hard to find good jeans for less than $50, but I swear by this straight-leg pair. They’re on trend but still classic, and I love that they come in different inseam sizes.
