This bag caught my eye over at Tory Burch — it’s so unusual. Apparently it “echoes jackets from the Fall ’25 runway collection.” I would think of the pockets on the outside as being a bit more decorative than functional, of course, but I do think it’s a cool bag.

It gets interesting with the price — it was $880, but is now marked $619. But! It also says “$527 for Private Sale.” This piqued my curiosity; I wondered if it was an archive/resale portion like you can find on some sites. But according to the offer details from the homepage, it’s an online only sale that ends 8/19. Why are there two sale prices on a single product page? Who can say.

When I packed for Switzerland, my dinner looks were where I got to really play up the change in scenery. For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. The NET-A-PORTER product page notes that McQueen’s Fall ’26 collection “disrupted traditional jacket codes through exaggerated proportions and unexpected cuts.” I love the outward-facing lapels that reveal the collarbone, and even more that i love it that they styled it with a blouse here — it’s always so hard to figure out how to style these for an actual office.

The jacket is $3500, available in Italian sizes 36-46, and the straight-leg pants are $1490. The suit also comes in black! (Also, I can’t quite figure out how I feel about this but I think I love it… the iconic jacket now comes in two denim washes.)

This top from Banana Republic seems like a fun option if you’re looking for a not-so-basic white shirt. I like the shape and the buckle at the back. It feels a little bit safari-inspired and reminds me of some of the earliest Banana Republic designs. (Sometimes I take a look at the old catalogs on eBay for fun.) The closest I’ve come to a safari lately is driving my SUV through the Adirondacks while herds of deer flank me on either side, but I still like the vibe.

Our trip to Switzerland had me thinking about utility dressing in a much more literal way. The forecast bounced around all day, we spent most of our time outdoors, and there were long hikes in between. Of course, I didn’t want to sacrifice form for function. I love these striking handwoven flats from reader-favorite brand Margaux. The company, which we’ve featured before, makes its shoes in Spain, offers a surprisingly generous size range, and has a strong focus on sustainability.

At first glance, I wouldn’t think the version of this shoe with the more open weave (pictured) would be comfortable, but the customer reviews actually praise its comfort, and it has a cushioned insole. (A saddle-weave option is available in other colors.) I also like the versatility of the style, and the buckle strap, which keeps it from feeling too casual.
