Hayden Panettiere’s Postpartum Depression Journey Before Death
Hayden Panettiere opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression years before her sudden death at age 36.
Panettiere sought treatment for her postpartum depression in October 2015, nearly one year after giving birth to her and then-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko‘s daughter, Kaya. The actress revealed in a 2016 social media statement that she took time off work to “reflect holistically” amid her ongoing challenges.
At the time, Panettiere was playing Juliette Barnes on the hit series Nashville. She later reflected on how the show’s writers used her own mental health battle as inspiration for the fictional character she played.
Panettiere and Klitschko ultimately split in 2018, and she later relinquished full custody of their daughter while struggling with postpartum depression and addiction to alcohol and opioids. As a result, Kaya relocated to Ukraine to live with Klitschko.
Shortly before her death, Panettiere exclusively told Us she had an “incredible” relationship with both Klitschko and Kaya.
“I can’t even put into words. She’s just an incredible gift,” Panettiere gushed of her daughter in her May 2026 cover story. “She is just such an incredible human being. She’s otherworldly and so sweet and so kind and so fierce and such a lover and surrounded by good people and good friends, and it’s incredible for me to be able to watch her thrive in areas that I struggled with growing up.”
Three months later, news broke of Panettiere’s sudden death.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” read a statement from her father, Skip Panettiere in August 2026. “We ask for privacy as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss.”

Opening Up About the Challenges
During a 2015 TV appearance, Panettiere addressed her postpartum depression diagnosis.
“I can very much relate. It’s something a lot of women experience. When [you’re told] about postpartum depression, you think it’s ‘I feel negative feelings toward my child, I want to injure or hurt my child.’ I’ve never, ever had those feelings,” Panettiere shared at the time. “Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.”
Panettiere clarified the “misunderstanding” surrounding the mood disorder, adding, “There’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true. That it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that, ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They brush it off. It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support.”
Seeking Help
Months after seeking help in October 2015, Panettiere took to social media with another update, writing via Twitter, “The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!”
Remaining Committed to Her Mental Health
Panettiere expressed her excitement about returning to work on Nashville after she checked into a treatment center.
“I was always so terrified that people weren’t going to accept me,” she told Yahoo! Style in May 2016. “I finally just went, I’m tired of living afraid. I’m tired of living in fear of what people are going to think, so, you know, I’m just going to put it all out there on the table and I’m not going to worry about the judgment.”
Discussing Her Struggles
Panettiere opened up about her battle with postpartum depression during a 2017 appearance on Good Morning America.
“It takes you a while. You feel off. You don’t feel like yourself,” she said about how her struggles made her a “better” mom. “But, you know, women are so resilient, and that’s the incredible thing about them. I think I’m all the stronger for it. I think I’m a better mom because of it. Because you never take that connection for granted.”
Being Written Off ‘Nashville’ Amid Her Struggles
In her 2026 memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, Panettiere recalled being temporarily written off of Nashville‘s fourth season to facilitate her going to rehab.
“The producers had no choice but to write me out of the script temporarily — something that killed me because I’d always prided myself on my professionalism — and I issued a statement about where I was going and why,” she wrote. “My fans and the press were hugely sympathetic — and I’ll always be grateful for that — but a part of my career I’d come to depend on suffered. Neutrogena canceled my long-standing contract, and it was yet another blow in a year that had given almost nothing else.”
Panettiere, who appeared in various advertising campaigns for Neutrogena, previously alluded to her partnership with the brand ending.
“I talk about traumatic moments and things that people don’t even know about,” she exclusively told Us in May 2026. “The abuse I went through at the hands of people that were supposed to be there to protect me. Admitting to all of the things that I did. I knew if I was going to do this, I wanted to be brutally, painfully honest. When I was honest about postpartum depression on Live With Kelly and Michael [in 2015], the repercussions were shocking. After that interview, I had no idea when I walked off that stage that I was going to get the call saying, ‘Neutrogena wants to fire you. They’re not OK with this.’ And you’re going, ‘Wait a second, of all the things, how can they judge me about something that is so human and so real?’”
Us reached out to Neutrogena’s parent company, Kenvue, for comment at the time.
Navigating Postpartum Depression in the Public Eye
“I had it, like, all planned out in my head, and as the plans just collapsed, the postpartum came, and I was completely out of control, and suddenly I was this … I was nowhere near the mom that I had sworn to myself that one day I was going to be and that was devastating,” Panettiere told Us in her May 2026 cover story.
She continued: “That was devastating. [It] was heartbreaking. I’m such a perfectionist in so many ways that being at least a good mother was just so, so important to me. And such a crushing blow when I was incapable of being, an even semi-decent mom, in my mind.”
At the time, Panettiere recalled the day Klitschko gave her the documents to sign over full custody of their daughter amid her personal struggles.
“It was a nightmare,” she told Us. “It was a living nightmare, and I felt so out of control. There’s nothing that I could do about it.”
Looking back, Panettiere admitted she wasn’t sure she fully processed the situation.
“I feel like I would be lying if I said that I have, even to this day, been able to fully process them, those emotions in a healthy way,” she said. “I had to figure out, there was no other option to me, but to figure out how to stand back.”

It’s Officially the End of an Era for Pokémon in 2027
Pokémon has a long-running history of producing new video games every few years, and in the past, The Pokémon Company has always found ways to bring your old Pokémon from previous generations to current consoles. Unfortunately, a service The Pokémon Company launched to help transfer Pokémon is now set to shut down in just a few months. Over the course of the last 30 years, over 1000 Pokémon have been designed and featured in the games, and for a while, The Pokémon Company has made it easy to transfer them to different consoles. But that will all change in 2027.
Pokémon began as a franchise in 1996 with the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan for the Game Boy, which later came out in the West as Pokémon Red and Blue. Since then, the company has released nine mainline Pokémon games, with the most recent being Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and announced its 10th generation through the release of Pokémon Winds and Waves in 2027. With the new release, fans may officially have to let go of some of their oldest pokémon.
The Pokémon Company has announced it will be shutting down its Pokémon Bank service in 2027. Introduced in 2013, this subscription cloud service platform allowed players to transfer their Pokémon from the 3DS games to online storage, which let them send them to the current system. According to the Japanese Pokémon website, Pokémon Bank will end its services on Friday, February 26, 2027, along with the function to transfer from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME. Pokémon Bank’s end-of-service date was already expected by Pokémon fans when Nintendo closed the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2023, which prevented new users from downloading Pokémon Bank after the shop’s closure date and gave existing users free access to use the service.
Pokémon HOME Is Now the Only Service Left To Transfer Pokémon Across Generations
With Generation 10 set to come out next year, the only way for players to bring their old Pokémon to newer generations post 2027 will be through Pokémon HOME. Pokémon HOME is a cloud service for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, released in 2020, that lets players transfer Pokémon not just from Pokémon Bank, but also from other games like Pokémon GO. Like Pokémon Bank, Pokémon HOME offers a subscription option for players who want to store more Pokémon, and like the older service, certain Pokémon cannot be transferred to cloud storage. Because of the “Dexit controversy” (the incident when The Pokémon Company revealed that some pre-existing Pokémon would not be transferable to Pokémon Sword and Shield), some Pokémon also cannot be transferred out of HOME or sent to certain games.
Before these cloud storage services, Pokémon were transferable through features like the Nintendo DS’s free Pal Park, which used the Nintendo DS’s Game Boy Advance slot, the Game Boy’s Link Cable, which allowed trading between Generations I and II, or later through the Virtual Console on the Nintendo 3DS.
Pokémon Winds and Waves is scheduled to come out in 2027. Follow Collider for more updates.

Johnny Depp Is in Talks to Return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6
Johnny Depp could finally be preparing to sail the high seas once again.
Longtime Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed that Johnny Depp is currently in talks to return to the franchise, potentially bringing Captain Jack Sparrow back for the upcoming sixth installment.
While speaking with Deadline during D23, Bruckheimer offered one of the most promising updates yet regarding Depp’s involvement.
“We’re talking to Johnny. We’re working on a screenplay. Hopefully we can get this done,”
Bruckheimer said.
The comments are significant because previous updates largely centered on Bruckheimer’s desire to bring Depp back. In 2025, the producer revealed that he had spoken with Depp and believed the actor could return if he was happy with how Jack Sparrow was written. Now, those conversations appear to have progressed as development continues on the screenplay.
Pirates of the Caribbean [disney]
Depp first appeared as Captain Jack Sparrow in 2003’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, a performance that quickly became one of the defining roles of his career. He returned for four additional movies, most recently starring in 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Across its five theatrical installments, the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has earned more than $4.5 billion worldwide.
Exactly what a sixth movie will look like remains unclear. Bruckheimer and Disney have spent years developing different approaches to continuing the franchise, including plans involving Margot Robbie and concepts featuring a combination of new and returning characters.

— Deadline (@DEADLINE) August 16, 2026
Most importantly, Depp has not officially signed on for Pirates of the Caribbean 6. Bruckheimer’s comments confirm that discussions are taking place, but a deal still needs to be reached and the screenplay remains in development.
Still, after years of uncertainty surrounding Captain Jack Sparrow’s future, this is arguably the strongest indication yet that Johnny Depp could actually return to the franchise.
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 does not currently have an announced release date.

Spider-Man Officially Sinks James Cameron’s Biggest Box-Office Hit in Under 20 Days
Topping the box office for the third weekend in a row, Spider-Man: Brand New Day broke past a monumental milestone globally and overtook an all-time hit domestically. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been dominating the charts for the past three weeks, and is by far the highest-grossing movie of the year. In fact, it’s now one of only eight films in history to have made more than $2 billion at the worldwide box office. Only two Marvel Cinematic Universe movies stand before it — Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame — as it has now surpassed the $1.9 billion lifetime haul of its predecessor, Spider-Man: No Way Home. That film concluded a trilogy of hits starring Tom Holland and directed by Jon Watts. Spider-Man: Brand New Day was positioned as the start of a new trilogy, with Holland back in the titular role and Destin Daniel Cretton taking over directing duties.
Also featuring Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, and Tramell Tillman, Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened to excellent reviews. It was particularly praised for its strong action, a more grounded narrative, and high emotional stakes. The movie now holds a “Certified Fresh” 89% critics’ score and a “Verified Hot” 98% audience score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Spinning a web of spectacular set pieces together with mature emotional stakes and Tom Holland’s soulful performance, Brand New Day is a promising reset that portends Spidey will remain sticky on the big screen for years to come.”

IT: Welcome to Derry Officially Renewed for Season 2 at HBO
IT: Welcome to Derry has officially been renewed for a second season following the successful debut of the Stephen King prequel series. The renewal will continue expanding the terrifying history of Derry, Maine, while taking the story even further into the past.
Season 2 will jump back to 1935 during the Great Depression, nearly three decades before the events depicted in the first season, which was primarily set in 1962. The new story will center around the infamous Bradley Gang massacre, an event pulled directly from the history established in King’s original IT novel.
The Bradley Gang were bank robbers who met a particularly gruesome end after arriving in Derry. The event represents another chapter in the town’s long history of violence and is connected to the recurring cycle of evil surrounding Pennywise.
The renewal also comes with a change behind the scenes. Brad Caleb Kane will serve as the sole showrunner for Season 2. Kane previously developed the series alongside Jason Fuchs, with Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietticontinuing as executive producers.
It: Welcome to Derry [HBO Max]
Welcome to Derry premiered in October 2025 and quickly became one of HBO Max’s biggest original launches. Warner Bros. Discovery previously revealed that the series ranked as the fourth-largest original series debut in HBO Max history.
The series serves as a prequel to Andy Muschietti’s IT and IT Chapter Two, exploring previous cycles of the supernatural entity that terrorizes Derry approximately every 27 years. Bill Skarsgård reprised his role as Pennywise for the series after previously portraying the character in both theatrical films.
The Muschiettis have previously discussed plans for a larger multi-season story that would continue moving backward through Derry’s history, with each season exploring another period connected to Pennywise and the town’s horrific past.
HBO has not yet announced a premiere date for IT: Welcome to Derry Season 2.

One of the Greatest Games Ever Made Is Officially Getting a Full Remake
In what’s about to be a mad scramble for video game releases over the next few months, there are arguably no two titles more anticipated than Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI and Nintendo‘s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. The former has been a lightning rod for controversy as more information has come out, between all the in-game content locked behind a deluxe edition, the lack of a physical edition, the increased price, and more recently, the Netflix-exclusive preview. However, details on the latter have been surprisingly few so far. The official announcement trailer was shared back in June, but there hasn’t been any gameplay shown, an exact date hasn’t been set, and all Nintendo has confirmed is that it will have “stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.”
All that’s been shown is a brief glimpse at the updated graphics, a brief narration, and a crisp new look for young Link that leans more realistic than the original Nintendo 64 title or its 3DS remake. “Timeless gameplay” suggests Ocarina will play somewhat similarly to its predecessor, yet there’s no confirmation if this is a more ground-up remake with updated dungeon design and combat or if it’s a more one-to-one recreation for modern consoles. Nintendo, for their part, initially described it as a “full remake,” yet they also haven’t revealed which team is developing the game. While it could be in-house, plenty of outside developers have also helped the gaming giant on past Zelda incarnations, like Grezzo, who handled the previous Ocarina of Time remake, Skyward Sword HD team Tantalus, or even Capcom. The only thing we do know for certain is that this remake will officially be the first to be made exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
There will be no Nintendo Switch version of the new Ocarina of Time, meaning players who haven’t yet made the upgrade and want to jump into the refreshed classic will be out of luck. The focus on recreating Link’s adventure in Hyrule solely for the more powerful handheld hybrid does further drive home how different visually this version will be, much like Star Fox earlier this year. The new Legend of Zelda release may be priced similarly, too. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Nintendo, an online retailer had already posted the price for a physical copy at $59.99, which would come in lower than the typical first-party premium point of $69.99.
‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’ Will Arrive for the Franchise’s 40th Anniversary
Nintendo has put a lot of plans in motion to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda this year, and Ocarina of Time is just part of it. Photos have circulated indicating that the company will soon announce its first-ever special edition Switch 2 console — a black, gold, and green machine adorned with the Triforce. A similarly themed pro controller sold separately has also appeared online. While those await confirmation, the franchise’s first cinematic effort has been fleshed out considerably. Wes Ball‘s film recently revealed that Young Rock star Uli Latukefu would be embodying the evil wizard Ganondorf opposite Benjamin Evan Ainsworth‘s Link and Bo Bragason‘s Zelda, with the late Sam Neill also set to make his final on-screen appearance in an undisclosed role alongside Yvonne Stahovski and Dichen Lachman. Sony will bring Hyrule to theaters on April 30, 2027.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake arrives sometime later this year on Nintendo Switch 2. Stay tuned here at Collider for further updates as we learn more.

Rosie O’Donnell Sheds Light on Relationship With Jimmy Kimmel
Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell is set to guest-host ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for the week of August 17. Now, ahead of her first episode and following the successful run of her one-woman show, “Common Knowledge,” she’s opening up about why she was surprised to be offered the gig and her complicated past with Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel announced that O’Donnell and several other celebrities would guest host his long-running late-night talk show in June 2026. Now, just hours before her first episode behind the desk, the TV legend is opening up about the real-life dynamics that made it surprising that she’d be asked to host.
She told Variety, “We’ve never spoken on the phone; we’ve texted a few times. Howard Stern tried to make amends with us, so we’ve been at the same parties a few times, and I would talk to his wife. But Jimmy was never a fan of mine, and it was kind of an adversarial relationship — not that I was fighting back, but I was like, ‘OK, one of the bro guys.’”
However, their relationship changed after his beloved uncle, Frank Potenza, passed away, and she reached out to the host. O’Donnell recalled, “When everything happened with his uncle dying, I wrote him, and he wrote back. So, when my publicist called and said, ‘Do you want to guest-host ‘Kimmel’ for a week?’ I said, ‘I haven’t ever even been a guest!’”
She added, “And then I said, ‘If you’re positive that that’s an actual offer and he wants me to do it, then I most certainly will.’ I was surprised, to tell you the truth, and very thankful.”
Rosie Wishes Stephen Colbert Had Been Supported Like Kimmel

O’Donnell continued her Variety interview by highlighting what she feels Kimmel has done for free speech amid Donald Trump‘s second term as president and the tenure of Federal Communications Commission head Brendan Carr.
She said, “I support [Kimmel] in what he’s doing with the First Amendment, and our ability as entertainers and citizens to speak out against our government that’s enshrined in the Founding Fathers’ writings about our government, so I think he’s fantastic.”
From there, she brought up Stephen Colbert, whose late-night show ended in May of this year. According to the Former cohost of “The View,” “And I wish that Stephen Colbert had the same kind of support when it happened to him, because he shouldn’t be gone either.”
Regarding CBS, the former home of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” now owned by David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance, O’Donnell also spoke about the planned acquisition of Warner Bros. The actress stated, “It would be like Fox taking over all news channels. Imagine if Fox was not one outlier and Fox was the mainstay? That’s what’s happening with Hollywood now, and the Ellisons, and it’s tragic.”
She continued, “Look at what’s happened to CBS News and ‘60 Minutes,’ which was the gold star of their entire network, and they blew it up.”
The Former ‘View’ Star Is One Of Six Hosts In Kimmel’s Absence

The first guest host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” this year was comedian Tiffany Haddish. Notably, the “Girls Trip” alum also hosted the show in 2025 during his summer vacation. After that, other hosts include Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, and more. Now, O’Donnell is the fifth person, with her dates going from August 17 to August 20.
Following her, Jelly Roll will serve as the final guest host for “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Kimmel will then return for brand-new episodes beginning September 8, following Labor Day weekend.
Rosie O’Donnell’s One Woman Show Recently Ended

O’Donnell began a limited Off-Broadway engagement of her one-woman show, “Common Knowledge,” on July 22 at the Daryl Roth Theater. This came after sold-out runs of the show in Ireland, Scotland, and Australia. It then concluded on August 8.
O’Donnell discussed the show with Broadway Direct, stating that she changed elements of it to fit American audiences. She shared, “It’s very much a love letter to Ireland, so there were many references to Irish things that I didn’t think America would get. So I took out some of the Irish stuff, took out a chunk of (the material about) Scotland. And I put in some more stuff about my children.”
Rosie Is In Talks For A TV Return

“The Rosie O’Donnell Show” ran from 1996 until 2002, and the beloved host later served two stints on ABC’s “The View. Recently, while appearing on the “Tangle” podcast, she revealed that her representation is in early talks for a new talk show.
In discussing what the potential series could be, she stated, “It would look a lot like my old show, to tell you the truth. I think America wants nostalgia. I think what they don’t want is celebrity culture. I think celebrity culture is dead in America.”
Regarding the shift in celebrity culture, O’Donnell explained, “There was a time where, if you could get a big star on your show, the numbers went through the roof. Well, that was before the internet — really, it was before you could literally write a DM to me and I’ll respond.”
She went on, “But I think the time for celebrity culture has died down. We’ve been in the land of gross excess in this country or a long time, and I’d like to do mostly human interest stories, tell good news, have fun and games with people like we used to, get to have Broadway on — and if a celebrity wants to come on and chat, that’s fantastic, but it wouldn’t be because they had a movie to promote.”

Harrison Ford Officially Returns as Indiana Jones in New Project
Harrison Ford might have insisted that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was his final outing as the world’s most famous archaeologist, but apparently nobody told Indy. After five movies, time travel, melting faces, a future Oscar-winning child star and a big room with lots of boxes, it was fair to say Ford might want to hang the fedora up. Alas, no, because Disney has found a pretty novel way to ensure that Ford remains part of the character’s future.
The iconic actor is officially returning to his most famous role for Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, a new attraction which is currently being built at Walt Disney World in Florida, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Ford announced the news at D23 to rapturous cheers from the baying Disney mob, revealing that he had lent his likeness to the models that would be used in the ride.
“Hello, D23. Thanks for coming along on all of Indy’s adventures. Soon it’ll be time for his next ride, and I’m pleased to share that, for the first time ever, I’m the actual model of the Indiana Jones animatronic — fear of snakes included. I’m excited for you to see his next epic adventure, and I’m coming to Walt Disney World soon.”
It’s a fitting way of permanently connecting Ford to a character he first played 45 years ago. Rather than introducing a generic version of Indiana Jones for the new attraction, Disney is effectively preserving Ford’s incarnation of the archaeologist inside one of its theme parks.
What Is ‘Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent’?
Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of the park’s major transformation, giving Indiana Jones his own adventure built specifically for Walt Disney World. Ford’s likeness will now be incorporated into the attraction through an Audio-Animatronic based directly on the actor. The ride is based on the current track layout of Dinosaur, a prehistoric time-travel adventure dark ride that’s been retired now.
The announcement also means that Dial of Destiny wasn’t quite Ford’s final involvement with Indiana Jones after all. The actor first donned the fedora for Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981 before returning for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. James Mangold then succeeded Spielberg as director for 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which gave Ford’s version of the character an emotional farewell. Until now.

‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ Director Officially Returns With First Sci-Fi Paranoia Trailer [Exclusive]
If you could have everything you’ve ever wanted, would you take it? That’s what Steve Pink‘s new comedy asks its audience. Terrestrial gives a young aspiring writer the opportunity of a lifetime, but what happens when an alien threatens the very fabric of the friendships he’s there to protect? Pink, who directed iconic comedies like Hot Tub Time Machine, brings together an all-star cast of Jermain Fowler, James Morosini, Pauline Chalamet, Edy Modica, Rob Yang, and Ted Lasso star Brendan Hunt. Today, Collider is delighted to bring you an exclusive look at the first trailer for the upcoming film!
Written by Samuel Johnson and Connor Diedrich, the comedy is a unique take on all things alien as well as how far you’re willing to go to make your dreams come true. Terrestrial is described as follows: “A long-overdue reunion weekend spirals out of control for four college friends. The host, an aspiring science fiction writer on the verge of sudden success, fights to maintain his sense of reality — a struggle which becomes increasingly difficult in the face of otherworldly dangers.”
The trailer shows Alan (Fowler), a young writer who just got his first book deal, which may lead to a movie deal, in his brand new huge house. When one of his friends questions how all of this can be coming true for Alan, the trailer takes a more comedic/darker turn, showing that maybe Alan didn’t really do all of this on his own.
A New Kind of Indie Film Vehicle
As part of the film’s release, Aero Films is launching with the film’s theatrical release. Ryan Pallas, founder of Aero Films, spoke about the exciting part of using Terrestrial as the company’s first theatrical release. “Our goal with Aero Films is to curate bold, distinctive films from filmmakers with unique perspectives and to connect them with audiences through innovative marketing and distribution,” he told Collider. “I am thrilled to be launching with Terrestrial as our first film. Steve and the filmmaking team have created an incredible mashup of comedy, suspense, and science fiction that’s unlike anything I’ve seen before. I can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”
In the same release, Pink spoke about Terrestrial getting a theatrical run. “I’m thrilled Terrestrial is escaping into the world,” said Pink. “We made a movie about friendship, paranoia, ambition, and the very unhealthy human instinct to invite your friends into your home and then slowly lose your mind in front of them. Also, it’s funny. Which is either a selling point or a cry for help. Go see it!”
You can see what Aero Films has for us with Terrestrial when it hits theaters on October 16. Stay tuned at Collider for more.
