Matthew Daddario Joins ‘Chicago Fire’ For Season 15
“Chicago Fire” has added American actor Matthew Daddario to the cast of its upcoming season.
The addition comes after another newbie, Da’Vinchi, teased Daddario in a photo shared on Instagram earlier in the week.
The extent of his involvement in the upcoming season remains unknown, but it appears that the “Shadowhunters” star will play a firefighter candidate, as suggested by the image shared by Da’Vinchi.
“Chicago Fire” has thrilled fans for years and is heading into its 15th season, set to premiere in October.
For the latest installment, Matthew Daddario will join the cast, as seen in a teaser image shared by “All American” alum Da’Vinchi, whose addition to the series was announced months ago.
Taking to Instagram, Da’Vinchi shared a photo of himself, Daddario, and another actor sitting in front of a fire truck, accompanied by three fire emojis.
He did not share any details about Daddario’s role, but the actor appears set to play one of the firefighter candidates, given the outfit he wore in the photo.
‘Chicago Fire’ Fans Welcome Matthew Daddario With Open Arms

Fans warmly welcomed the image featuring Daddario, with many taking to the comments to express their excitement about his addition to the show.
“Omg Mathew Daddario as a fireman, my new obsession,” one wrote, while another commented, “When does the season start so I know when to clock in?”
“I’ve never taken a peek at this show, but I guarantee you I will now… cause whew,” another user gushed.
One more individual remarked, “Can’t wait for this,” while another added jokingly, “Come rescue me.”
“Patiently waiting [for] what you have been cooking up,” someone else said, referencing the upcoming season.
Dermot Mulroney Exits ‘Chicago Fire’ After Three Seasons

Making his exit from the franchise is Dermot Mulroney, whose character will wrap up his storyline in the upcoming season.
Unlike other series regulars, Mulroney joined the show in Season 13, meaning his character lasted for only three seasons.
Despite the relatively short stint, the actor is satisfied with his time on the Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television show.
“Loved every minute of it. Became friends with this incredible crew of people,” Mulroney said during an appearance at Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention earlier this month.
“They wrote an incredible storyline that put me as an actor on a high challenge,” he added. “I loved every minute of it. Sad to see it go.”
Andrea Newman Exits ‘Chicago Fire’ After 14 Years
Meanwhile, Season 15 will not include Andrea Newman, who has been with the show since its inception.
She initially served as a co-executive producer for five seasons before becoming executive producer in the sixth season and eventually becoming the sole showrunner for the last three seasons.
“Working at Chicago Fire, with the absolute best cast and crew in the business, has been the highlight of my career,” Newman said of her time on the show in a statement.
She also thanked her executive colleagues at Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television for their collaboration and support over the years.
“After 14 years, you really do become a family, and working with this group will always feel like home,” the showrunner further noted.
‘Chicago Fire’ Season 15 Teases A Dangerous Fate For Rescue Squad 3
Season 14 ended on a major cliffhanger, with members of Rescue Squad 3, including lead actor Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), trapped inside a burning building.
Fans will have to wait until Season 15 premieres in October to find out what happens to the team. However, Miranda Rae Mayo, who plays Kidd, previously hinted in a May 2026 interview that viewers should prepare for the worst.
Speaking to TV Insider at the time, Mayo warned that “nobody’s safe.” Building on her claim, the actress said that even if everyone survives the disaster, some firefighters may be left with permanent injuries that prevent them from working actively.
“Maybe we’ll still be on the show, but who knows if we’ll still be on shift,” she also remarked.

Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb’s Home Burglarized Amid Training Camp
CeeDee Lamb’s Texas home was reportedly burglarized while the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was attending training camp ahead of the 2026-2027 NFL season.
The Fort-Worth Star Telegram reported on Saturday, August 22, that Lamb’s house had been broken into on July 30, while the athlete, 27, was at the Cowboys’ training camp in Oxnard, California.
While Lamb was not home at the time of the reported robbery, the outlet cited local police records which claimed that nearly $300,000 worth of property, including four luxury bags, were stolen during the alleged break-in.
Per the police record, there are no known suspects at the time of publication. An investigation remains ongoing.
Lamb has not publicly addressed the reported incident. Us reached out to a rep for the football player for comment.
Lamb has spent his entire NFL career with the Cowboys since he was drafted by the organization in 2020. Lamb and the Cowboys are currently making their way through their preseason schedule. (The Cowboys beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in a preseason game on Saturday.)
“We’re having continued growth. Obviously, we understand we were very successful, but none of that success from last year can carry over,” Lamb told reporters at training camp earlier this month. “So, we’re just basically starting over from scratch, building that bond once once again, and I feel like just, kind of, carrying over.”
He added at the time, “There’s a lot of things that we’ve missed out on last year, and I feel like that we can definitely harp on and gradually get better overall as an offense.”
For Lamb, his goal for the season is “to stay healthy.”
“For me is all about being healthy, being available for my team because the last two years that wasn’t the case,” he said. “Just overall health, being able to lead, teach the younger guys if need be, and overall, I got to go be me. So, just going out there, make plays, help the guys and score.”
Lamb further stressed that he’s not yet concerned about whether the Cowboys can reach the playoffs or the 2027 Super Bowl.
“I love the Super Bowl talk, but it starts one day at a time, one week at a time, one game at a time,” he added. “You can set the standards high, right? But the only way that you can get up there, you got to climb the ladder. You know what I’m saying? Put one foot in front of the other and at the end of the day, let’s go work.”

Southern Hospitality’s Bradley Carter Dishes on New Season
Southern Hospitality star Bradley Carter is explaining why he thinks fans shouldn’t sleep on a potential new season of the hit Bravo show.
“The cameras have not been rolling but the vibe is we’re in a better place than where we were,” Bradley, 29, exclusively told Us on Saturday, August 22, at his “Body by Brad” Keep It Moving workout tour at The Point in El Segundo, California.
“I feel like the cast is coming together,” he continued. “Some people are still on the outside and some are on the inside. Hopefully we get a season 5 so you can find out.”
A bonafide hidden gem in the Bravosphere, Southern Hospitality‘s future has been up in the air amid ongoing rumors the cast is navigating a potentially extensive shakeup and a possible restructuring that could exclude Southern Charm alum Leva Bonaparte and her Charleston, South Carolina, hotspot Republic Garden & Lounge.
While Carter can’t dish on all the details, he did explain to Us that fans should be “hopeful” that season 5 is on the way — eventually.

Bradley Carter Stephanie Diani/Bravo
“I think we should be hopeful,” he said. “I can say that. I definitely think we should be hopeful. I think that there’s a lot more going on than you guys know. I cannot confirm this season 5, but I’m not going to say that it’s off the table.”
He continued, “We have a lot going on in Charleston, and hopefully you guys can smell this.”
The series, which premiered in November 22 as a Southern Charm spinoff, originally featured Leva and her employees Joe Bradley, TJ Dinch, Mia Alario, Emmy Sharrett, Grace Lilly, Maddi Reese, Will Kulp, Lucia Pena, Mikel Simmons alongside Bradley.
As several cast members have explored various business ventures away from the show’s featured restaurant, questions have continued to swirl regarding who will or will not return for a possible season 5 — if one is truly in the works.
Bradley spoke to Us about his fellow cast members taking advantage of various opportunities outside of the show, explaining that growing and evolving is part of Charleston’s culture.
“One thing about Charleston is it’s a food and bev scene, and the community is really driven on people that live there and want to be there,” he said. “And you know, I have a lot of friends growing that are a part of the cast, that are my friends, and it’s cool to see Joe step into a new opportunity over at the Uptown Hospitality Group. It’s cool to see TJ getting ready to open his own brick and mortar. I’m opening my own gym here soon, so there’s lots of different things that are happening and I’m excited for people to continue to grow.”
He added, “I mean, we’re not just kids on a TV show, you know? We’re in our late 20s and our early 30s, still trying to figure it out. As you get to see that grow and really take that next step, it’s cool to see.”

Nicolas Cage Expected to Return for National Treasure 3
Nicolas Cage is expected to reprise his beloved role of rogue historian Benjamin Gates in another installment of National Treasure.
Director Jon Turteltaub confirmed on Friday, August 21, that National Treasure 3 is moving forward, telling the “National Treasure Hunt” podcast at a live event that “it’s happening.”
“I have not said anything before this, but you deserve to have the scoop,” he said, per The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Turteltaub explained that the audience was “the first people I have said this out loud to” in public. The director, however, shared that there could be hurdles the crew has to face before filming.
“It’s finally real. Now, it’s Hollywood real, meaning things could happen,” he said. “Nic gets hit by a bus, there’s no National Treasure 3. If I get hit by a bus, there’s probably a National Treasure 3. Welcome to Hollywood.”
Turteltaub claimed that an already-written screenplay has been approved by him and Disney, noting that “to whatever extent we can, everyone’s back.”
National Treasure follows treasure hunter and cryptographer Benjamin (Cage), who uncovers a plot to steal the Declaration of Independence — but no one at the FBI believed him. Benjamin then decided to protect the document by stealing it.
In 2007, Cage returned as Benjamin alongside Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel. Cage explained at the time that he decided to pursue the sequel because he felt it met his standard of being “at least as good” as the initial film.
“I wanted to make sure that we could go in a direction that would raise the stakes, and also hopefully be more interesting,” Cage said of the sequel during a 2007 press conference. “They said, ‘We have to ratchet it up from stealing the Declaration of Independence, so we thought you should kidnap the president of the United States.’ … I got nervous. Then, I started thinking about it, and I started laughing, and I realized that that was the joy of it — that it was funny and it was absurd.”
After the sequel’s release, Disney+ debuted a spinoff series titled National Treasure: Edge of History in 2022. The show centered around a new set of characters and was led by Jess Valenzuela (Lisette Olivera). Two years later, Cage shut down rumors that National Treasure 3 would be happening.
“No, there is no National Treasure 3,” Cage said in a 2024 interview with Screen Rant. “Here we go! See, you’re the one that brings these things up and they go out and they eclipse everything else. No, there is no National Treasure 3. If you want to find treasure, don’t look at Disney, OK? It’s not there.”

Netflix’s New True-Crime Movie Officially Passes Major Streaming Milestone in 4 Days
A 1-hour, 36-minute crime story on Netflix is currently trending globally, and it’s mainly because the entire plot is based on a bizarre real-life 2009 incident. A woman from Mexico named Eleonor Alejandra Marín Mendoza had a miscarriage. Then another, followed by a third one, which led her to become extremely vulnerable to outside pressure — so much so that the lady went on to fake a completed pregnancy despite having a miscarriage four months in.
But that’s not the worst part. Mendoza, who worked at a hospital, said she had a deal with another woman to take her child instead. And on the day this child was born, she went to the hospital, placed her baby in a gift bag, and took it. This wild true story has immediately translated into one of Netflix’s strongest international debuts of the week. The film only arrived on August 13, and in TUDUM’s Top 10 Non-English movies between August 10 and August 16, the film currently sits at the #2 spot with 5.1 million views and 8.2 million hours of watch time. The only non-English title above it is the Brazilian crime sequel Nando Between Two Worlds – A Sintonia Film, which ranks higher with 11.1 million views.
The film is titled A Child of My Own, and it follows the complete story of Mendoza and all its nuances. The baby’s mother, Mayra Aurora Navarro Vega, denied ever agreeing to give up her daughter, while hospital records, paperwork found with Mendoza, and surveillance footage supported her account. Mendoza’s husband, Arturo Calderón Gamiño, who had no knowledge of the incident, spent over two years in jail for the events, but was ultimately acquitted having become involved only after the fact. In the film A Child of My Own, Luisa Guzmán plays Vega, Armando Espitia plays Gamiño, and Ana Celeste plays Mendoza.
What Else Is Trending on Netflix’s Non-English Movies Chart?
A Child of My Own immediately outranked Elize: Shadows of a Woman, which was already in its fourth week in the Top 10, but now sits in the third spot. Bollywood film Cocktail 2, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, sits at number four, with the heart-wrenching tear-jerker Pakistan-India partition story Main Vaapas Aaunga by Imtiaz Ali (Rockstar) at number five. The sixth spot belongs to My Best Friend, His Girlfriend and Me; Daddy’s in Trouble is sitting at number seven; and fellow four-week holdover, The Debt Collector, is at number eight. At number nine, there’s Idhayam Murali, with a steamy romance titled Desire rounding out the Top 10 with 1.5 million views.
A Child of My Own is based on a true story, and is available to stream on Netflix. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Laura Bush Poses for Rare Photo With Daughters, Grandkids
Former first lady Laura Bush is enjoying the final throes of summer with her daughters and granddaughters in tow.
“I can see us lost in the memory August slipped away into a moment in time,” Laura’s daughter Jenna Bush Hager wrote via Instagram on Sunday, August 23, quoting Taylor Swift’s “August” lyrics and sharing a sweet multigenerational portrait from a recent family getaway.
In the pic, Laura, 79, sported a casual blue button-down and khaki trousers as she stood next to Jenna, 44, and her daughters, Poppy, 13, and Mila, 10. (In addition to her daughters, Jenna and husband Henry Hager share son Hal, 6.)
The crew were joined by Jenna’s twin sister, Barbara Bush, and her 4-year-old daughter, Cora. (Barbara, 44, and husband Craig Coyne later welcomed son Edward in 2024.)
Laura’s husband, George W. Bush, served as the United States president from 2001 to 2009. Jenna and Barbara were teenagers during their dad’s two-term tenure in the White House.
“I would say it was sort of, like, the laissez-faire parenting of the ‘80s and ‘90s,” Barbara exclusively told Us in March 2025 of the twin sisters’ pre-White House childhood. “Our parents were very around, but we had a lot of freedom in terms of playing outside and exploring our neighborhood and just kind of being out and about in a, obviously, safe way. It was before cell phones and before the constant connection and communication that we all have now.”
After George left the Oval Office, he watched his daughters find love and eventually become parents themselves.
While speaking with Us last year, Barbara revealed that she wanted to “emulate” her parents’ lessons with her own kids “as much as we can.”
“The world is quite different now,” she said. “I aspire to be that type of parent in this world.”
As for Jenna, she told Us that the siblings’ parenting styles were “pretty similar” to George, 80, and Laura’s experience.
“They tried to make the world creative and magical for us. And when you’re really little, the world is magical,” the Today cohost recalled of the president and first lady. “So, it’s both parents being part of their kids’ lives, but it’s also parents getting kid energy, putting down their phones and seeing what they see because it’s hilarious and it’s fun.”
Jenna continued at the time, “Yes, parents can show the kids the magic of the world, but also, and probably more importantly, parents can see through their kids’ eyes some of the magic. And that’s in a world that feels like it can be sometimes dark and difficult and hard, it’s so much fun just to choose that type of fun that comes through seeing the world through your kids’ eyes.”

Benny Blanco Lost Nearly 5 Lbs After Only Eating Pizza for Week
Benny Blanco is on a mission to find out whether he can slim down on a pizza-only diet.
“Hey guys, today’s Day 1 of only eating pizza for five days straight to prove you can lose weight eating literally anything,” Blanco, 38, began a Friday, August 21, video shared via TikTok, saying that he started the experiment weighing 152.5 pounds. “I’m going to eat one pizza a day and lose weight.”
Blanco kicked off the experiment with “one large, thin crust” pie from Domino’s, later noshing on similar sized pizzas for the remainder of the week. By the third day, the music producer was admittedly “tired of pizza” though persisted for the sake of his self-imposed quest.
“It’s Day 5 [and] I don’t even remember who I am as a human being,” he quipped in follow-up footage. “Like, what was life like before pizza? I’ll tell you something: I feel f***ing good [with] a spring in my step.”
At the end of the week, Blanco hit the scale once again.
“You see that? 147.5,” Blanco quipped, reading off the new measurement. “I just lost 4.7 pounds in five days, eating only pizza. Nothing matters, you can do whatever you want. F*** failure, f*** everything, get my book right now.”
Blanco, who is promoting his upcoming memoir F*** Failure, did not publicly share whether he did anything else to aid his apparent weight loss. (Doctors often recommend a balanced diet coupled with plenty of exercise.)
@itsbennyblanco can i lose weight if i only eat pizza?
Blanco released his first book, Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends, in 2024.
“Cooking is scary,” he exclusively told Us in May 2024 in advance of his debut book release. “Throwing a dinner party … forget about it. But I promise you, Open Wide is gonna be the secret handbook in your back pocket. You can pull [my book] out any time you want to impress some guests.”
Blanco is also known to whip up tasty treats for his wife, actress and pop star Selena Gomez. The couple, who have been together since 2023, said “I do” two years later in September 2025.
“She’s my best friend. The second time we hung out, our second date, I was like, ‘Wait, does she like me?’ I was clueless. From then on, it was easy,” Blanco gushed to Interview magazine in March 2025 about his spouse. “You know when you think you met the right person, you’re like, ‘Oh my god.’ But it feels so different. The second we started hanging out, I was like, ‘This is my wife.’ I was telling my mom, ‘This is the girl I’m going to marry.’”

Walter White is heading to the big screen.
Breaking Bad will make a special return to theaters on September 7, 2026, as Alamo Drafthouse celebrates “Breaking Bad Day” with one-night-only interactive screenings of the acclaimed Season 4 finale, “Face Off.”
The event, presented in partnership with Sony Pictures Television, will take place across 15 U.S. markets and give fans a rare opportunity to experience one of the most memorable episodes of Breaking Bad on the big screen.
September 7 wasn’t chosen randomly. The date is Walter White’s birthday and is also the date on which the events of the Breaking Bad pilot begin, making it an unofficial annual celebration for fans of the series.
Admission to the event is free with the purchase of a $10 food and beverage voucher, which can be redeemed during the screening. The voucher is also refundable at the event.
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad [Sony Pictures Television]
This won’t be a traditional screening, either.
Fans attending the event will receive Breaking Bad-themed collectibles, including a Heisenberg hat, blue rock candy, Hector Salamanca’s bell and a Gus Fring half-face mask. A live host dressed in a yellow protective suit will guide audiences through the interactive experience, including encouraging fans to ring their bells alongside Hector during the episode.
The event will also include a costume contest, giving fans another reason to break out their best Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, Saul Goodman or Los Pollos Hermanos-inspired looks.
“Face Off” originally aired in 2011 and serves as the explosive conclusion to Breaking Bad Season 4. The episode brings the escalating conflict between Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) to its unforgettable conclusion.
The theatrical screenings are scheduled for Alamo Drafthouse locations across markets including New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, the Washington D.C. area, Denver, Laredo, Omaha, Northern Virginia, Raleigh, the San Francisco Bay Area, St. Louis and Springfield.
Created by Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad premiered in 2008 and ran for five seasons before concluding in 2013. The series starred Cranston alongside Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk and Esposito and has remained one of television’s most celebrated dramas more than a decade after its finale.
For fans who have only experienced Walter White’s world at home, September 7 will offer a very different way to revisit one of the defining moments of the series.
It’s time to cook again.

Best Summer-to-Fall Styles for Women Over 40
Us Weekly has affiliate partnerships. We receive compensation when you click on a link and make a purchase. Learn more!
If there’s one thing that can single-handedly carry your wardrobe from summer into fall, it’s a great pair of jeans. They’re substantial enough to make a breezy summer top feel a little more autumn-ready, but they don’t require you to commit to sweaters, coats and boots before the weather actually cooperates, either. Basically, when you’re stuck in that awkward in-between period, jeans are the wardrobe MVP.
The best part? Once temperatures finally drop, your favorite denim is already ready for the job. Pair a straight-leg style with a cozy sweater, tuck a tee into a wide-leg pair with loafers or throw a jacket over your favorite ankle jeans for an easy everyday outfit. These 10 pairs from J.Jill make a strong case for refreshing your denim drawer now — because the right jeans can be the foundation for pretty much every fall outfit you’ll want to wear.
10 Effortless Summer-to-Fall Jeans From J.Jill
1. Fringe Benefits: A little fringe goes a long way. These high-rise kick-flare jeans are made with supersoft stretch-denim fabric that feels easy enough for all-day wear. A subtle fringed hem gives the classic silhouette a fresh update that’s still easy to style!
2. Denim, Elevated: These aren’t your average wide-leg jeans. The dark wash and trouser-inspired silhouette give this pair a polished look, while a luxe cotton, Tencel, Lyocell and silk blend is drapey and soft against the skin. Slip on a blazer and loafers for a sophisticated office outfit, or keep things casual with a simple tee.
3. Wide-Leg Wonder: This best-selling wide-leg pair makes a convincing case for adding them to your fall rotation. The relaxed shape has plenty of room without veering into overly baggy territory, and the cotton-stretch denim blended with Tencel is soft for long days. Consider them an easy upgrade from your everyday straight-leg jeans.
4. Classic Cut: When in doubt, go straight-leg. This classic silhouette runs straight from your hip to the hem, creating a sleek foundation for just about any fall outfit. It’s a comfortable pair, thanks to the below-the-waist rise and cotton-stretch denim — and the full-length design can be cuffed when you want to show off your favorite shoes.
5. Artisanal Touch: A neutral jean is super versatile, and this creamy shade makes a particularly pretty case for branching out. The softly flecked texture gives the cotton-spandex pair a boutique feel, and the polished straight-leg fit keeps it looking refined. Try it with a lightweight sweater and loafers for an outfit that feels instantly ready for fall.
6. Desk-to-Dinner Denim: Who says jeans can’t be polished enough for plans after work? This full-length, wide-leg pair feels more refined than some other pairs — almost like a pair of trousers. The cotton-Tencel denim fabric has a soft drape, creating a sophisticated silhouette that can handle a day at the office before heading straight to dinner.
7. Long-Leg Look: The easiest way to make your legs look miles long? A good pair of flares. These modern jeans fit securely through the waist and hips, then subtly flare out at the knee, immediately lengthening the look of your leg. Wear them from daytime errands to evening plans without a second thought.
8. Statement Denim: Ready to venture beyond your standard straight leg? This barrel-leg pair brings some personality to your denim drawer with a curved silhouette that’s relaxed through the thigh, then tapers off at the ankle. It’s made with a less stretchy, vintage-inspired denim fabric that gets even prettier with each wear and wash.
9. Slim & Streamlined: If you love a slim jean but don’t want to feel squeezed into it, this best-selling pair could be your sweet spot. It has a tailored, slim-leg silhouette that skims right from your hip to your ankle without a hint of constriction. The ankle-length silhouette also makes it easy to show off ballet flats now and boots once fall is in full swing.
10. Boyfriend, Refined: Classic boyfriend jeans get a slightly more polished makeover in this slimming silhouette. They’re relaxed enough to be comfy all day, and you can wear the hem cuffed for a more casual look or leave it loose for an effortless, elevated finish. Pair them with a crisp button-down now, then swap in a cozy sweater when the temperatures finally drop.

Andrew Garfield Explains ‘Aura Farming’ In Hilarious Breakdown
Andrew Garfield hasn’t lost his wit or sense of humor, even though he’s been working non-stop on back-to-back film projects, including the fantasy-adventure film The Magic Faraway Tree.
In a recent interview, the actor won the internet over with a hilarious breakdown of Gen Z’s favorite viral phrase, “aura farming.”
Garfield has been quite his expressive self in recent media appearances, including one where he opened up about craving a quiet life away from Hollywood and his addiction to his secret Instagram account.

Andrew Garfield proved he’s very much in touch with the younger generation when he gave a funny explanation of the internet-popular catchphrase “aura farming.”
He and costar Claire Foy put their honesty to the test on Vanity Fair‘s Lie Detector Test, where they asked each other questions about their personal lives and careers, among other topics.
At some point, Foy asked him if he was “aura farming,” and he said yes before adding that he thought they were both doing it. Going on to explain the phrase, Garfield said it means that anytime someone makes a public appearance, they’re aura farming.
“It’s like what Gen-Zers are saying. Aura farming is like when you wanna look cool in front of the world. And you wear clothes that look cool, and you put on, like, a nice hat,” he noted.
Seemingly confused by his explanation, the actress laughingly echoed, “a nice hat,” before Garfield went further to vividly describe what it meant.
“Yeah, a nice hat. You came to a wedding in, like, 1994. Yeah, this is like the millennial version of aura farming. Put on a nice hat,” he continued. “You walk outside and you have a jaunty, you have a jaunty stroll around lower Manhattan with a cane and a monocle.”
Garfield Reacts To His Viral ‘Slutty’ Look Breaking The Internet

The Amazing Spider-Man star was commenting on the internet’s NSFW reaction to his “slutty” look at the 2025 Golden Globes. At the time, Garfield went viral for leaving his shirt slightly unbuttoned and wearing chic glasses.
“Did reactions online surprise you?” Foy asked, to which he replied, “Yes, they did.”
As he’d previously explained in an interview with MTV journalist Josh Horowitz, the Hacksaw Ridge actor said all he did was put on his glasses and try to adjust his shirt, as he thought he was already showing too much skin.
However, he added that many thought it was “sl-tty” and “everyone responded as if I was trying to f-ck them.”
He was then called out for exhibiting signs of “deception” after Foy asked him whether he “intentionally wanted to thirst-trap audiences.”
He admitted, saying, “maybe retrospectively, there might’ve been some unconscious desire to seduce.”
Andrew Garfield Opens Up About His Secret Instagram Addiction

In much the same way, the 43-year-old actor has been quite outgoing and expressive in several media appearances.
During a recent interview with Variety, he opened up about his addiction to his phone via his secret Instagram account, where he scrolls through videos of ceramics and Japanese craftspeople.
“I’m as addicted as anybody. My screen time notifications are horrific. It’s like, I’ve given all of those hours to nothing,” he said.
“It’s genuinely enraging because we don’t have as much control over these impulses as we should, and it’s been by design. It’s pretty dark when you look at it,” the actor added.
Andrew Garfield Opens Up About Breaking His Phone Addiction
Commenting on steps he tries to adopt to fight his addiction, Garfield noted he sometimes gets the impulse to “smash” his phone like many others do, or even toss it into the sea “because we know it’s taking our lives from us in some way.”
“I’m not better than anybody else. I’ve been told, and I find it to be true, that if you leave your phone in another room, that does a lot of the heavy lifting. As soon as it’s in the room, you’re kind of f-cked,” he continued.
Social media and technology are at the heart of his new film The Magic Faraway Tree, where he and Foy play a couple, Tim and Polly, who uproot their urban family life and tech-dependent kids to relocate to a farm in the country.
When asked whether phones were banned on set, he noted that the film’s intention “wasn’t to damn technology,” but to have a “healthier relationship” with it.
Garfield Reflects On Technology’s Impact On Human Connection

During an appearance on The Today Show, Garfield reflected on how he has been taking an introspective look at his philosophy of life.
He explained that the question of how to live a balanced life has been on his mind, especially when he considers the many technological advancements that not only make life convenient but also create a “tension between us being able to be really connected to our true selves.”
According to him, new technologies are posing a stumbling block to our connections “with each other” and “to all this beautiful nature that surrounds us.”
“How are we doing the job that we’re supposed to do, which I believe is [to] be the custodians of our planet?” he asked. “How do we take care of our planet in the way that we are meant to as conscious beings on this planet? And I feel like there’s tension there. It’s a tension I’m very, very curious about.”
