‘Landman’ Star Billy Bob Thornton’s Twisted Crime Thriller Is Officially Streaming for Free

Published

on

A Simple Plan - 1998

If you thought that you’d seen Billy Bob Thornton wreaking havoc in Minnesota with a funky hairdo in the first season of Fargo, you’re overlooking his performance in a cult classic movie that’s currently streaming for free. The movie was probably green-lit following the success of the Coen Brothers‘ classic, which received seven Oscar nominations and won two, and grossed $60 million at the worldwide box office. Like the movie Fargo, Thornton’s 1998 cult classic is a darkly comic neo-noir thriller set in Minnesota; it follows three characters who discover a bag full of cash and find themselves turning against each other as they try to keep the discovery a secret.

In addition to Thornton, the movie also features Bill Paxton and Bridget Fonda. It was directed by Sam Raimi, who, by then, had transitioned from his camp horror classic Evil Dead trilogy to studio genre movies. That said, Raimi’s two previous studio efforts had mixed results at the box office. Darkman, the pulp comic book-inspired superhero movie, grossed $48 million worldwide against a reported budget of $14 million. But the more expensive revisionist Western The Quick and the Dead, which cost a reported $35 million to produce, made around $47 million worldwide. Raimi’s next two movies also fell short of the $50 million mark, but things turned around with Spider-Man, which broke numerous records in 2002.

Sheridan’s worlds are as much about place as they are about people.

05

How do you feel about operating in the grey?

Mayor of Kingstown

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

The Critically Acclaimed ‘Fargo’-Style Thriller Is Streaming for Free

But we’re talking about Raimi’s 1998 movie A Simple Plan. It made around $16 million at the box office, but despite the underperformance, it received mostly positive reviews. It’s now sitting at a “Certified Fresh” 91% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus describes it as “a riveting crime thriller full of emotional tension.” Thornton earned an Oscar nomination, as did screenwriter Scott B. Smith, who adapted his own novel. The late critic Roger Ebert later ranked A Simple Plan as his fourth-favorite movie of 1998, while the critic Matt Zoller Seitz hailed Paxton’s performance as a career highlight. The movie is currently streaming on Pluto TV, along with Raimi’s The Quick and the Dead. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Apple TV’s New Hit Thriller Is Officially Taking Over the World

Published

on

vozjzjhv0yyv4pjooxf5tvmugfi-2.jpg

Fall is when television gets good, as broadcast networks finally bring back fan-favorite shows and debut new ones. And while broadcast might not be what it used to be, streaming has stepped in to fill that gap. Apple TV is keeping the thriller market cornered this season with several shows set to debut in the final quarter of the year. In fact, the streamer has officially started releasing new episodes of its latest crime thriller, and unsurprisingly, it has become a streaming hit.

While Apple TV isn’t immune to bad shows and movies, it produces more hits than flops, and this latest one is no different. Critics have mixed reactions, but they are largely impressed by the story and performances, rating it 86% on Rotten Tomatoes. Titled Last Seen, the thriller follows a dad, Ian (Patrick Brammall), as he searches for his missing child after unearthing evidence that she might still be alive after 11 years. “Last Seen serves its mystery in bold spades, taking a story of familial tragedy to the brink of heart-wrenching and engrossing, while Patrick Brammall’s performance takes this series to the next level,” the critic consensus reads.

Collider’s Carly Lane was impressed by how the show structured its twist. While many thrillers drop their twists for shock value, Last Seen grounds them in character psychology. “Last Seen asserts itself as the type of thriller that isn’t interested in conforming to the genre’s more predictable rules or structure,” she wrote in her review. Meanwhile, ScreenRant‘s Nick Bythrow praised the show’s focus on the characters but was not impressed by some early reveals that, while great for character study, “[make] the execution of its bigger ideas feel messy.” Still, some critics found it underwhelming, with Rebecca Nicholson of the Financial Times calling the show “both predictable and preposterous.”

10

It’s the final moment. Everything is on the line. What do you need from your partner right now?
The last question is the most honest one.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

‘Last Seen’ Has a Decent Apple TV Debut

Sometimes critics’ reviews don’t matter much if a show connects with viewers, and Last Seen seems to be performing well for Apple TV. Its two-episode premiere has pushed the series to fourth position on the streamer’s global top ten chart, according to FlixPatrol’s rankings. It’s not a bad debut for a brand-new show, but the real test is whether it can dethrone Apple TV heavyweights like Ted Lasso and Silo, which are currently dominating the chart. Next week’s episode deals with the aftermath of the life-changing call that Ian receives at the end of Episode 2. “A closer examination of the call turns Ian’s world inside out,” teases the logline for Last Seen Season 1, Episode 3, “The Lie.”

Tim Burton’s Fantasy Masterpiece Is Officially a Monster Hit on Streaming

Published

on

0146048_poster_w780-3.jpg

Legacy sequels have been more popular than ever in the past few years, like the cinema-saving Top Gun: Maverick, headlined by Tom Cruise. Two years ago, one of the most hotly anticipated legacy sequels made its box office debut, haunting up a frighteningly good global haul. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice earned an enormous $451 million, split between a domestic haul of $294 million and a further $157 million from overseas markets, becoming Tim Burton‘s highest-grossing film in 15 years.

The return of Michael Keaton‘s iconic Ghost With the Most was one of the highlights of the second half of 2024 in theaters, with Wednesday‘s Jenna Ortega adding the perfect fresh blood to a largely returning cast. “Rife with nostalgia, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is intended for ’80s babies,” wrote Martin Tsai in his review of the movie for Collider, calling it a “return to form” for Burton. But as high as the praise was for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, it simply couldn’t live up to the original in the eyes of most fans.

The story of Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis), who return to their home to haunt the new family who moved in after they fatefully drown in a car accident, is the stuff of Halloween legend. Burton at his practical best, the film is packed with inventive visuals and memorable performances, as well as one of the best impromptu musical numbers ever. As we inch closer to spooky season, Burton’s gothic masterpiece is proving popular again. At the time of writing, Beetlejuice is one of the ten most-streamed movies on HBO Max in the U.S.

Camp Crystal Lake · Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhees

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

  • He moves in straight lines toward his target. He doesn’t strategise, doesn’t adapt, doesn’t outsmart. He simply pursues.
  • Your ability to keep moving, use the environment, and resist the panic that freezes most victims gives you a genuine edge.
  • The Crystal Lake survivors were always the ones who stopped running in circles and started thinking about terrain, water, and distance.
  • You think like that. Which means Jason, for all his indestructibility, would face someone who simply refused to be where he expected.

Haddonfield, Illinois · Halloween

Michael Myers

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

  • But you are paying attention. You notice the shape in the window, the car parked slightly wrong, the silence where there should be sound.
  • Michael’s power lies in the invisibility of ordinary suburbia — the fact that nothing ever looks wrong until it already is.
  • Your spatial awareness and instinct to map every room, every exit, and every shadow before you need them is precisely the quality Laurie Strode had.
  • You are not a victim waiting to happen. You are someone who already suspects something is wrong — and acts on it.

Elm Street · A Nightmare on Elm Street

Freddy Krueger

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

  • You are harder to destabilise than most. You’ve faced uncomfortable truths about yourself and you haven’t looked away.
  • The survivors on Elm Street were always the ones who understood what was happening and chose to face it rather than flee from it.
  • Freddy’s greatest weakness is that his power evaporates in the presence of someone who refuses to give him the fear he feeds on.
  • Your psychological resilience — the ability to stay grounded when reality itself becomes unreliable — is exactly the quality that keeps you alive here.

Derry, Maine · It

Pennywise

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

  • The Losers Club didn’t survive because they were braver than everyone else. They survived because they faced their fears together, and faced them honestly.
  • You ask the questions others avoid. You look directly at what frightens you rather than turning away.
  • That directness — the refusal to let fear fester in the dark — is Pennywise’s worst nightmare.
  • It chose the wrong target when it chose you. You are exactly the kind of person whose fear tastes like nothing at all.

Chicago · Child’s Play

Chucky

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.

  • You don’t have that gap. You take threats seriously regardless of how they present — and you never make the mistake of underestimating something because of its size or appearance.
  • Chucky relies on surprise, on the delay between recognition and response. You close that delay faster than almost anyone.
  • Your instinct to treat every unfamiliar thing with appropriate scepticism — rather than dismissing it because it seems absurd — is the exact quality that keeps you breathing.
  • Against Chucky, not laughing is already winning. You are very good at not laughing.

A New Fantasy Legacy Sequel Is Hitting Theaters

This weekend, after almost three decades away, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles as the Owens sisters, Sally and Gillian, in Practical Magic 2. The generational curse is once again getting the duo in trouble, although this time they are the experienced duo, with Sally’s daughters, Kylie (Joey King) and Antonia (Maisie Williams), in the firing line. Although reviews for Practical Magic 2 have been mixed, it still makes for a perfectly fantastical start to the fall season.

Beetlejuice is one of the ten most-streamed movies on HBO Max in the U.S. Make sure to stay tuned to Collider for the latest streaming stories.

Netflix Officially Locks in Return for Its Spicy Crime Thriller

Published

on

03216307_poster_w780.jpg

November might be several weeks away, but Netflix has already started building its release schedule for the month. As the year draws to an end, there’s a variety of stories to look forward to, including Jessica Chastain‘s Music City crime thriller, Heartland, and a potential Academy Award winner, The Mosquito Bowl. On the TV side, Catholic schoolgirls cause mass hysteria in their town when they start having prophetic visions in the supernatural thriller The Body. But most anticipated is the return of Netflix’s surprise hit that was never supposed to be on the streamer.

This series took the world by storm when it was released last July. Critics seemed largely entertained, giving the series an 81% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers were much more divided, and its 64% score on the same site hints at that split. Still, in terms of raw viewership, the spicy drama drew a lot of eyes and made Netflix’s top ten despite initially releasing only in the U.S. The series managed over 2 billion viewed minutes in the first two weeks, and that’s before global viewers had access to the 8-episode season of The Hunting Wives.

Created by Rebecca Cutter, the series had a rough journey to the small screen and was originally produced by Lionsgate Television for Starz. However, the companies decoupled, leaving The Hunting Wives without a home until Netflix picked it up for U.S. viewers. It was an immediate hit, becoming a cultural sensation and even inspiring a Saturday Night Live sketch. The first season stayed in the top ten for five weeks and amassed over 20 million views despite the limited release. The licensing agreement later expanded availability globally. The second season brings a lot more of the craziness that made the first a success, and it debuts on Thursday, November 26.

What To Expect in ‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 2

Details about the season are still not out, but it is expected to bring Sophie (Brittany Snow) and Margo (Malin Åkerman) back together when a new threat arises. However, they realize they might be in over their heads because it’s not clear which side of the hunting game they are on. Snow and Åkerman teased an even naughtier second season instead of dialing it down. “If anything, everyone is going to be like, ‘Wait, they went where? They did what?’” teased Snow. The season also has some new faces, including Branton Box (Sheriff Johnny), Dale Dickey (Zelda Moffitt), Kim Matula (Nadia), Cam Gigandet (Gentle John Moffitt), Alex FitzAlan (Trout), John Stamos (Chase Brylan), and Angel Reese (Trainer Barbie).

Vicki Gunvalson and Claudia Jordan Address Brandi’s GoFundMe

Housewives Vicki Gunvalson and Claudia Jordan Address Brandi Glanvilles Health Issues Amid GoFundMe

Real Housewives of Orange County OG Vicki Gunvalson and RHOA alum Claudia Jordan have both spoken out about donating to Brandi Glanville‘s fundraising efforts.

The two reality TV legends joined other Real Housewives stars in supporting Brandi’s GoFundMe, which aims to help her through various treatments, surgeries and continued recovery after three years of enduring a mysterious facial disfigurement.

In an exclusive statement to Us, Vicki, 64, likened her GoFundMe donation to her financial support of former RHOC costar Jeana Keough amid her tongue cancer diagnosis.

“As I donated to Jeana Keough, I did for Brandi,” Vicki told Us. “It breaks my heart that both of them who have been used to working to provide for themselves, are not able to at this time. I wish Brandi continued healing.”

Claudia — who was a standout on The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 7 — shared with Us that she frequently tries to support people going through hard times.

“I actually donate to a lot of GoFundMes all the time. People I know and people I don’t know,” Claudia, 53, confirmed to Us through her representative Chris Giovanni. “Sometimes I make it anonymously, sometimes I let my name appear. I feel so bad for her and I can’t imagine how helpless she may be feeling. Times are tough for a lot of people and I am sure it was difficult for her to put herself out there like this — knowing she would get a lot of criticism but I admire her bravery and hope she can get all the help she needs!”

Brandi, 53, has spent several years trying to get a firm diagnosis on her facial condition, which she said developed after she filmed Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2023. (That season of Ultimate Girls Trip has never aired because of ongoing litigation between cast member Caroline Manzo and Bravo over an alleged incident involving Brandi.)

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recently revealed that she was diagnosed with “highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis” after spending more than $113,000 on treatment options.

Fellow Bravo stars and fans were quick to lend a helping hand when Brandi’s friend Gina Rodriguez launched a GoFundMe this week. As of publication, the fundraising appeal has raised more than $12,000 of a $28,000 goal — with RHOBH stars Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer among the top-dollar contributors, per the site’s registry of donations.

Camille, 58, previously told TMZ that it was important for her to reach out to Brandi even though they haven’t been close in recent years.

“I remember when she sent me flowers when I had my hysterectomy for uterine cancer. I thought that was very sweet of her. I wanted to return the favor, and I feel bad for what she’s going through,” Camille told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Brandi admitted that she had mixed feelings about asking for financial support during the Friday, September 11, episode of her “Unfiltered” podcast.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville is still trying to figure out the cause of her facial disfigurement years later. “I have to give an update on my face, ‘cause we got a lot of comments last time. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, guys,” Glanville, 53, said on the Thursday, […]

“I’m on all of this crazy medication, [and] even with my insurance, it’s $7,000 a week. Then, I have creditors calling me all day,” she told cohost James Maas. “My friend, Gina, started a GoFundMe for me. I’m embarrassed, honestly, ‘cause I don’t like to ask for help.”

When James assured her there was no reason to be embarrassed, a tearful Brandi explained, “I feel like a loser. I feel like I definitely hit rock bottom, and I’m embarrassed. I just never thought I would do this. … Gina did it for me. I know, like, she’s looking out for me.”

Brandi rose to fame on RHOBH, first as a “friend of the Housewives” in season 2 and later a main cast member for seasons three through five. She has since appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice as well as both the U.S. and U.K. versions of Celebrity Big Brother.

Brad Pitt seemingly had a blast attending the US Open women’s final with girlfriend Ines de Ramon.

The F1 actor, 62, alternated between cuddling with de Ramon, 33, and engaging with fans in the stands at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York City, on Saturday, September 12. Pitt was photographed interacting with a group of ladies in the row behind him, personally snapping a selfie with them at one point.

At other points, de Ramon wrapped her arm around Pitt’s as they watched Elena Rybakina, of Kazakhstan, defeat Aryna Sabalenka, of Belarus, in Saturday’s women’s final. (The men’s final takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center inside Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday, September 13, pitting US standout Ben Shelton against No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev.)

Seated next to Pitt and de Ramon for the all-important tennis match were former New York Yankee CC Sabathia and his 20-year-old daughter Jaden.

The couple are avid tennis fans, having been spotted in the stands at the French Open as Mirra Andreeva clinched the first Grand Slam title of her tennis career against Maja Chwalińska in the women’s singles final on Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris, France, in June.

They were dressed more formally — Pitt in a traditional tuxedo and de Ramon wearing a semi-sheer black lace dress with a thin strap on one side — in an impromptu photo shoot before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. (Other celebrity couples on the guest list included Selena Gomez and her husband Benny Blanco, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens, and Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, among others.)

Pitt was first spotted with de Ramon — who was previously married to The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley — when they joined friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber at a Bono concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles in November 2022. (Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005 and later to Angelina Jolie from 2014 to 2019.)

Us exclusively reported in December 2025 that Pitt and de Ramon were “still going strong and [were] very committed” as they tried to keep their relationship out of the public eye, per an insider.

“Ines has no interest in being in the spotlight, and that is what Brad admired about her when they met,” a source told Us.

At the time, Us learned that an engagement was not on the horizon despite Pitt and de Ramon recently moving in together.

“They aren’t interested in getting married and are on the same page about that,” the first insider told Us, with a second source adding, “[There are] no wedding plans at the moment. They are super happy in this phase of their relationship and not rushing into anything.”

Sen. Ted Cruz Booed by Crowd During College GameDay Cameo

Published

on

GettyImages-2294053100tedcruzcollegegameday.jpg

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas received a not-so-warm welcome during his recent College GameDay appearance.

The polarizing politician sat down with ESPN’s Rece Davis ahead of the No. 4 Texas Longhorns’s highly-anticipated matchup against the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, September 12, to discuss the “Protect College Sports Act.”

The bipartisan bill that would establish a national set of rules and standards for college athlete compensation, branding and school revenue sharing deals.

During his nearly 10-minute segment, Cruz, 55, received a relentless onslaught of booing from the Austin, Texas, crowd, followed by clear chants of, “Ted you suck.”

“Right now college sports is in chaos — the current situation is nuts,” the senator said in an attempt to speak over the deafening crowd. “Between Lane Kiffin down in Louisiana trying to bring NFL players back into college sports or between up in Lubbock [Texas], Brendan Sorbsy and litigation over whether someone who was gambling over his own game should be allowed to play. What we have right now is chaos. We have no rules.”

He continued of the proposed legislation, “It brings order to chaos, it protects the students – protects the students’ ability to be compensated [and] to receive name, image and likeness compensation. I think that’s only fair, it’s only right – they’re producing enormous value and enormous skill. But it also puts reasonable rules in place — for example, every player gets one free trade. Not three to five — one trade.”

The senator went on to argue that without a set of national guardrails college athletic programs are being “bankrupt” across the country, arguing that now is the time for congress to act.

“College sports is too precious — we’ve got to make sure this remains an avenue for opportunity for millions of kids,” he went on to add during the segment. “And we gotta make sure it remains not just [for] football but [for] all of women’s sports all of the non-revenue sports ll of the olympic sports — this bill is designed to do all that.”

For the entirety of Cruz’s appearance, the crowd continued to boo him and chant in opposition to his appearance. Us reached out to Cruz’s office for comment.

Lane Kiffin is gone from Ole Miss — but he’s certainly not forgotten. The former Rebels head coach ruffled some feathers with his abrupt exit from the team — leaving in November to coach at LSU despite his former team securing a spot in the College Football Playoff after one of the best seasons in […]

Coach Kiffin made headlines in late 2025 following his controversial decision to leave Ole Miss amid their playoff run to coach at LSU. He was once again in the spotlight when he finalized his inaugural LSU season’s roster, which featured two former NFL players: Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris. Both players spent the summer on NFL rosters before they were waived in August.

Sorsby, also mentioned by Cruz during his contentious segment, was a former quarterback for Texas Tech whom the NCAA later ruled ineligible for play after he acknowledged placing bets totaling at least $90,000 on collegiate games, including his own. The player later sued the NCAA, which led to a June decision from a Lubbock, Texas, judge that ruled the athlete eligible after serving a two-game suspension.

Facing considerable public and conference pressure in the wake of the controversial ruling, Texas Tech and Sorsby eventually decided to part ways.

Heidi Klum went all out to celebrate her son Henry’s 21st birthday.

“I can’t believe it is that time,” Klum, 53, told Henry in an Instagram video shared Saturday, September 12, sharing footage of the moment she gave her son his birthday present waiting in the driveway. “You’ve been waiting for so many years.”

The camera panned, revealing that Klum and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, purchased a Ferrari F430 in honor of Henry’s special day.

“Oh my God! Jesus Christ,” Henry exclaimed in the clip, getting a glimpse of the cherry-red sports car. “I don’t even know what to say.”

Heidi Klum has been open about her family life since becoming a mom in 2004. The model announced in December 2003 that she was pregnant with her and then-boyfriend Flavio Briatore’s first child. When the couple subsequently split, the former Project Runway host moved on with Seal. Klum gave birth to daughter Leni in May […]

Kaulitz, 37, explained that he bought the car “last year” at an auto show and subsequently hid the vehicle in the garage “the whole time” so it would remain a surprise.

“This thing is beautiful,” Henry marveled. “Holy s***! Oh my f***ing God, this … is insane. Holy s***, this thing is crazy.”

Klum chimed in, noting that her husband “kept his promise” after the pair made a friendly bet over a video game.

“Literally, it’s what, seven years ago when you guys said that?” the Project Runway host quipped.

When Henry was 14 years old, he and Kaulitz made a Mario Kart wager.

“It’s happening on Christmas, and if I lose Mario Kart, then I can’t play video games for three months and I have to do a painting of me driving,” Henry said in throwback footage, which Klum updated to her Instagram page later on Saturday. “But if I win, then Tom has to give me a Ferrari when I’m 21.”

In addition to Henry, Klum shares son Johan, 19, and daughter Lou, 16, with her ex-husband Seal. Klum, who also shares 22-year-old daughter Leni with ex Flavio Briatore, married Kaulitz in 2019.

“[Tom being] close in age has been fun for them, especially my son Henry, who loves talking cars with my husband,” Klum exclusively told Us in her July cover story of Kaulitz’s bond with her children. “When I hear [about] cars, my ears close. They talk about it like it’s science, and I have no idea what they’re saying.”

Klum further gushed that Henry and his siblings all “have good heads on their shoulders.”

“[They] have seen me work and know it’s not just glitz and glamour. They see how many conference calls I do with producers to come up with concepts and photo shoots,” she said of passing down her work ethic. “We’ve always had dinner around the table, and everyone talks about their day, and there are a lot of fun things I’ve gotten to tell them over the years, like singing with Snoop Dogg or Tiësto, things where they’re like, ‘Mom, how the heck did that happen?’”

The full-coverage silhouette also provides more coverage around the sides, making it a particularly useful base layer for those fitted tops that tend to reveal every little detail.

Ashley Olsen’s ‘Busy Mom’ Look Features a Comfy Fall Sweater

New York Fashion Week has officially commenced, so it’s safe to assume Ashley Olsen is busy. Like most luxury designers, she’s probably got places to go, people to see and runway details to finalize — all on top of being a mom to a young child. That’s why I wasn’t too surprised to spot the former child star rocking the ultimate comfy-chic outfit: baggy black jeans, easy slip-on sandals and a chunky V-neck sweater that made the combo feel special.

Early September is technically still summer, but the 40-year-old was serving plenty of fall inspiration, so much so that her oversized black knit has remained on my mind. It’s pretty much the perfect throw-on-and-go piece, and while it’s safe to assume Olsen’s knit top is a pricey option from her brand The Row (which she heads alongside her sister, Mary-Kate Olsen), I found a similar style on Amazon for $36.

Made from a nice cotton blend, this lightweight sweater is ideal for tricky transitional weather, when it’s cool in the morning and hot by the afternoon. It nails Olsen’s New York rich mom-meets-boho vibe with its slouchy fit and flattering V-neck, but the sleeves are a little less constricting with a trendy bell silhouette.

Sandra Bullock just solved one of fashion’s biggest seasonal dilemmas: what do you wear when it’s too cool for a T-shirt but far too warm for a chunky sweater? That awkward stretch between summer and fall calls for layers that feel light, look polished and work from morning coffee runs to chilly evening dinners. Luckily, […]

There are no zippers, ties or confusing cutouts to fuss with here. This Amazon alternative is a pull-on pick, making it easier than ever to shrug it on in a pinch. Thanks to the black color and timeless design, it’s instantly elevated and endlessly versatile. You could pair it with black jeans, like Olsen, or rock it with a satin skirt while the weather is still cooperating. Plus, the style isn’t too snug, so it’ll still work come winter, too, layering flawlessly over long-sleeved tees, button-down shirts or turtlenecks.

Shoppers swear you won’t be disappointed with your purchase. Many gave the piece a five-star rating, with several planning to order it in another color. Psst, it also comes in beige and navy.

“I love this sweater, and I’m ordering another one,” one reviewer wrote. “I like a big, oversized sweater,” they continued. “It covers the rear end and looks great on top of an outfit or with leggings or slacks. I also like the V-neck. It’s not super thick, neither is it thin, in my opinion. It’s just right for what I was looking for.”

Another shopper even claimed the sweater gives off “designer vibes,” describing it as “roomy with a relaxed fit” and calling the quality “amazing.”

“This lightweight oversized sweater is perfect for cooler days and goes with just about everything,” they said.

Olsen’s schedule may be booked and busy, but her comfy black sweater kept her looking cool, cozy and totally chic. I plan to copy her exact outfit formula on mornings when I’m in a rush (and even on days when I’m not). You can, too, by scooping up this budget-friendly lookalike.
