Dolly Parton’s Nephew’s ‘Killer’ Remark Allegedly Sent Staff Fleeing
The battle over Dolly Parton’s professional legacy has reportedly intensified, with the late singer’s management company accusing her nephew of making statements that left employees afraid to return to work. She’s Alive, LLC, the company responsible for managing Parton’s assets, presented the allegations while supporting its request for a temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver and his security company. Seaver has denied making threats, maintaining that his private messages were taken out of context during a period of intense grief.
Dolly Parton’s Management Company Details Alleged Messages
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Parton’s management company alleged that Seaver described himself as an “international arms dealer and mercenary” before declaring, “I’m a killer.”
Seaver allegedly made several additional statements following his aunt’s death, including, “All I do is warfare.”
“Everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,” he allegedly warned in another message.
The company also claimed Seaver vowed to “destroy the entire brand” and “ratf-ck every (Dollywood business partner) entity” he could conjure.
In a message allegedly directed at Parton’s longtime entertainment attorney, Seaver reportedly wrote, “I’m not an entertainment person. I’m a killer.”
Employees Allegedly Became Too Afraid To Work
The court documents claim the alleged messages caused immediate disruption among the people responsible for managing Parton’s businesses and professional legacy. According to the company, an attorney handling Parton’s trusts and estates withdrew, other personnel resigned, and some employees stopped reporting to the office because they no longer felt safe.
She’s Alive, LLC, also claimed it hired private security for certain employees, including protection at their homes, because of concerns involving Seaver and associates who were allegedly heavily armed.
The company described the consequences as “continuing operational paralysis.” It argued that Parton’s professional affairs could not be properly managed if employees were afraid to work and business partners feared becoming Seaver’s next target.
TMZ previously reported that Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, sought an order requiring Seaver to remain 1,000 feet away from the company’s offices and to stop interfering with Parton’s business relationships.
Bryan Seaver Was Removed From His Security Role
The legal dispute follows Seaver’s dismissal from his longtime position overseeing security at properties connected to his aunt. A termination notice reportedly informed Seaver that he and his security companies had been immediately removed from every Parton property.
Replacement guards were subsequently sent to Parton’s Nashville residence, museum, downtown home, and warehouse, according to TMZ. Seaver and his companies were also instructed to vacate the properties.
The properties and Parton’s professional business interests are reportedly held by the DP Dean Trust. Although Seaver lost his security position, the termination notice reportedly stated that his personal interest in the trust remained intact.
Seaver was also the family member chosen to announce Parton’s death publicly.
Dolly Parton’s Nephew Denies Making Threats
Seaver has denied threatening Parton’s management team and offered a different explanation for the messages included in the filing. “I am a career soldier and military contractor and do conduct arms deals for foreign governments. I am a security professional, and I am a killer,” he told TMZ. “However, nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by.”
He claimed that the exchanges had been presented without the context surrounding them. “I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster,” Seaver said. “A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.”
Seaver also addressed the reported remark about targeting business entities, claiming he had been referring to specific companies he believed had mistreated his aunt.
The court will ultimately have to determine whether the statements justify the requested restrictions. The filing of a request for a temporary restraining order does not, by itself, establish that Seaver engaged in unlawful conduct.
Dolly Parton Died At 80 After A Brief Cancer Battle
Parton died on August 25, 2026, at age 80 following what her representative described as a brief battle with cancer. The country music legend left behind a career that stretched across more than six decades and included signature recordings such as “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You.”
Parton sold more than 100 million records worldwide, earned 10 Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Her influence extended far beyond music. Parton founded Dollywood and launched the Imagination Library, which has distributed hundreds of millions of free books to children.
Her husband, Carl Dean, died in 2025 after nearly 60 years of marriage.

Tyler Cameron‘s Off Campus-inspired routine on Dancing With the Stars couldn’t have been possible without his fiancée, Tate Madden.

According to Cameron, however, Madden, 32, has seen the Prime Video series “about three times” since its release earlier this year.

NBC‘s The Office showed us that every workplace, no matter how mundane, is zany and full of heart on the inside. That concept clearly resonated with audiences, and it has been expanded on in other TV workplace comedies over the last two decades. Looking back now, it’s clear that HBO‘s Veep took this idea to its greatest extreme, with high stakes for the United States and for the world in its most absurd storylines. Veep aired seven seasons with 65 episodes from 2012 to 2019, and nothing has lived up to it since. The series earned several prestigious awards and critical acclaim, and it’s time for it to get the same praise as The Office.
Of course, The Office had a few advantages if we’re pitting these two shows against each other. The Office aired on network TV, and access to HBO was not as ubiquitous throughout the 2010s as it is now. If both shows aired today, the tables might be turned — the widespread adoption of streaming has made it easier to access the HBO catalog, while the standard network sitcom format has been struggling. Instead, the timing was just right for The Office to go from being one of NBC’s heavy-hitter to the most beloved streaming binge-watch of the 2020s. For those that claim The Office as their comfort show, Veep might be the perfect thing to add to the rotation.
‘Veep’ Built on the Workplace Comedy Format
Veep stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, who is Vice President of the United States when the series begins. It’s a workplace comedy about her personal staff, including her Chief of Staff Amy Brookheimer (Anna Chlumsky), her personal aide Gary Walsh (Tony Hale), her deputy director of communications Dan Egan (Reid Scott), her White House liaison Jonah Ryan (Timothy Simons), her director of communications Mike McLintock (Matt Walsh), and her secretary Sue Wilson (Sufe Bradshaw). The show blends political intrigue seamlessly into the workplace comedy format, which was having a heyday at the time the show was picked up.
The Office is the prime example of workplace comedy in this century, but it spawned a lot of copycats. Many of the writers and producers behind The Office had a hand in other NBC hits like Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and later Superstore, among others. Veep was one of the most successful shows to build on this format on a different network, making it feel more distinct with its own message to convey. HBO’s premium production value certainly helped as well, even if the shorter season format was a bit of a hindrance.
Just as Steve Carrell‘s performance as Michael Scott defined The Office, Louis-Dreyfus’ portrayal of Selina Meyer was the lynchpin of Veep. Being an elected political figure is very different from an office manager, but she still managed to bring some of the same chaotic energy to the role. At the same time, she humanized Selina and made her easy to root for. Perhaps most importantly, she created a clear, visible example of a woman succeeding in modern politics. It may be fictional, but that kind of representation can help bring stories to life years later. When a woman does make it to the White House in real life, she will undoubtedly owe some thanks to Louis-Dreyfus, Selina Meyer, and Veep.
‘Veep’ Has all the Praise Without the Binge-Watch Label
There’s no arguing that Veep was a success in its time. The series won 17 Emmy Awards, with Louis-Dreyfus winning a record-breaking six Emmys for herself. The show was a critical darling and has remained so since it ended, landing on many prominent lists of the greatest sitcoms — or even simply greatest TV shows — of all time. Veep maintained relatively strong ratings by today’s standards as well, with its viewership dipping the most around Season 6. However, it was successful enough for home media releases of all seven seasons, and it still has a modest fandom active online today.
Veep is certainly not hurting for attention, but it should be discussed on the same level as The Office and others like it. The rapid advancement of streaming has leveled the playing field quite a bit when it comes to Veep‘s shorter seasons and accessibility. In fact, compared to many great shows of the 2020s, Veep has a huge catalog at 65 episodes. It may never be the “comfort show” that people binge and re-watch in the same way they do The Office, but it deserves to be. Hopefully in the years to come, more people will make Veep a part of their regular TV diet, and Selina Meyer will be immortalized alongside Michael Scott, Leslie Knope, and Liz Lemon. Veep is streaming now on HBO Max, and is available on DVD and Blu-ray.

‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Officially Lets One Star Go Completely Off-Script [Exclusive]
HBO has had a wildly successful year so far in 2026, with shows like The Pitt and DTF St. Louis doing well at the Emmys. HBO has also invested heavily in the fantasy genre with Game of Thrones spin-offs like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon, both of which are set to return in the next two years with new seasons. The platform has become a staple in the last 25 years for being the go-to home of prestige television, which is arguably what it’s best known for. When it comes to shows with a high production value, one of the first to come to mind is The White Lotus, which is written and directed solely by Mike White.
Mike White is hard at work shooting the fourth season of The White Lotus right now, which will be the first in series history to be set in France. Cast members include Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Laura Dern, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Max Greenfield, Ben Kingsley, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, and even Heather Graham. Collider’s Perri Nemiroff had the chance to chat with The White Lotus newcomer Heather Graham at Fantastic Fest to promote her new movie, What Happened to Doris, and she asked if there was anything during her experience filming Season 4 that has allowed her to flex her acting muscles. Graham told Collider:
“Well, Mike [White] one day was like, ‘We’ll just make up some stuff.’ And he let me just improv a monologue for, like, 10 minutes in this one scene, and I was like ‘Thank you, Mike.’ I don’t know if it’ll end up in [the final cut], but it was really fun.”
‘The White Lotus’ Star Heather Graham Reveals Season 4’s Standout
The White Lotus is an anthology series, and while each season of the show is set in the same world and usually features one, maybe two characters from a past season, it’s a largely new cast bringing a new story to life in a new location. There’s a world where this could make it tough for fans to connect with new characters every season, but Mike White does a stellar job not only writing compelling characters across the board, but finding the perfect actors to bring them to life on-screen.
Nemiroff also asked Heather Graham if there was anything she’s seen so far while filming The White Lotus Season 4 that’s impressed her in particular about any of her co-stars, and while she admits that she hasn’t had a chance to see the performances in the final product, one star did come to mind: “Well, I haven’t really seen everyone’s performances, but I have really come to adore Chris Messina from working on it. He’s a lovely human, and he’s got a really interesting character that he’s playing. He’s a sweetheart, and he’s playing a really interesting character.”

Even before they hit the dance floor, Ballas has remained patient with his former The Traitors season 4 costar.
“We don’t get annoyed with each other. We’re more, well, you get annoyed with the task at hand,” the three-time mirrorball champ told Us. “I don’t want her to [be annoyed with herself] because it’s good to put pressure on yourselves at times.”
He continued, “It’s good to work hard, but she’s not a dancer, and she’s like, ‘Why is it so hard?’ I’m like, ‘That’s the show, that’s why we’re here.’ I keep reminding her, ‘That’s why you’re here.’”

As Higgins quicksteps her way to the mirrorball, she even received helpful tips from her Traitors costar Lisa Rinna following her previous ballroom tenure.
“Lisa just said, ‘Enjoy, don’t forget to enjoy it, and don’t put too much pressure and stuff,’” Higgins added of Rinna, 63, who appeared on the second-ever season in 2006. “I’m doing all the wrong things because I’m putting all the pressure on myself.”

Jessica Chastain’s delayed Apple TV+ series “The Savant” has finally emerged from the streamer’s limbo, roughly a year after Apple put its release on hold.
The series was set to debut in September 2025, but Apple postponed it after what the company called “careful consideration.” The decision followed the Sept. 10 killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
It is now expected to air in spring 2027, giving the thriller a path to the screen after months of uncertainty.
‘The Savant’ Finally Lands A 2027 Release Window
Roughly a year after Apple TV+ shelved its premiere, “The Savant” has finally received a new release window.
The thriller was originally scheduled to premiere on Sept. 26, 2025, but Apple pulled it from its lineup on Sept. 23, just three days before its debut.
“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone The Savant,” a spokesperson for the streamer said at the time, per Deadline. “We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date.”
However, reports suggested that the series’ focus on online hate groups and domestic extremism was considered politically sensitive following Kirk’s assassination.
According to Deadline, the release has now been rescheduled for spring 2027, although an exact date remains unannounced. The timing could put it in contention for the 2027 Emmys.
Jessica Chastain Pushes Back: ‘We’re Not Aligned’
Chastain pushed back on Apple’s decision to postpone the crime thriller. In a statement shared on social media at the time, the actress praised her working relationship with the streamer but said they were “not aligned” on the decision.
“I want to say how much I value my partnership with Apple. They’ve been incredible collaborators, and I deeply respect their team,” she said. “That said, I wanted to reach out and let you know that we’re not aligned on the decision to pause the release of The Savant.”
She argued that the upheaval surrounding Kirk’s killing made it more important to confront the series’ subject matter.
The “Interstellar” actress pointed to several acts of political and mass violence in the United States, saying the series had become especially relevant.
“I’ve never shied away from difficult subjects, and while I wish this show wasn’t so relevant, unfortunately it is,” she added. “The Savant is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens, and honoring their courage feels more urgent than ever.”
‘The Savant’ Takes Chastain Inside Online Hate Groups
Created by Melissa James Gibson, “The Savant” follows highly trained undercover investigator Jodi Goodwin, played by Chastain. She infiltrates online hate groups to identify people who could move from extremist rhetoric to real-world violence.
Her work involves tracking these communities to stop domestic extremists before they act. Away from the operation, Jodi balances her secret work with life as a mother and wife to Charlie Goodwin, played by Nnamdi Asomugha.
The cast also includes Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, and guest star Pablo Schreiber. James Badge Dale appears in a major recurring role.
The Real Investigator Who Inspired ‘The Savant’
“The Savant” drew inspiration from a 2019 Cosmopolitan feature by journalist Andrea Stanley titled “Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?”
The article profiled an anonymous investigator who infiltrated online extremist communities and worked with law enforcement to identify potential threats.
Apple later confirmed that Stanley served as a consultant on the series. The project reached Chastain after her production partner, Kelly Carmichael, brought her Stanley’s article.
Jessica Chastain Turns to Horror and a Netflix Drama
Chastain’s other upcoming projects include the horror film “Other Mommy,” directed by Rob Savage and based on Josh Malerman’s novel “Incidents Around the House.”
The story centers on a young girl named Bela who develops a relationship with a sinister figure in her home that closely resembles her mother. Chastain plays Bela’s mother and the sinister figure known as Other Mommy. The film is scheduled for release in early October.
The actress also joined Netflix’s upcoming drama “The Retrievals,” alongside Emilia Jones and Amy Ryan.
She plays Kaitlyn Langford, who has endured several failed fertility treatments, per Variety.
“When she learns she’s also a victim of criminal drug diversion at the Yale Fertility Center, she faces a devastating personal reckoning and becomes a key plaintiff in this historic lawsuit against Yale,” Netflix wrote about the plot.
I haven’t seen many films where I’ve wished for the end to come faster simply because I wanted to stop crying. But Elsinore is one of those films. Directed by Simon Stone and written by Stephen Beresford, the film stars Andrew Scott as stage and screen actor Ian Charleson; we follow him during the last years of his life as he prepares for his final role as Hamlet, while also struggling with an AIDS diagnosis. The stirring drama gives Scott the perfect stage for one of the best performances of his life, while the emotional and devastating story set during the height of the AIDS crisis makes it almost impossible to watch without reaching for tissues. Elsinore allows Scott to deliver an authentic and gut-wrenching performance that stays with you long after the movie is over.
What Is ‘Elsinore’ About?
When we first meet Scott’s Ian Charleson in 1989, he’s in a bit of a slump. After an early career hit with Chariots of Fire, his recent roles have been lackluster, and he longs to return to theater. When a young Daniel Day Lewis drops out of Richard Eyre‘s (Johnny Flynn) production of Hamlet at the National Theater in London, Charleson’s suddenly given the opportunity of a lifetime to replace him, and play one of Shakespeare’s most iconic characters. Unfortunately, at the same time, he’s been diagnosed with AIDS and, after discovering lesions, is quickly reaching the advanced stage of the disease.
Turning to Dr. Margaret Johnson (Olivia Colman) at the Royal Free Hospital, Charleson begins undergoing treatment. Although Eyre knows about his condition, he still casts Charleson as Lewis’ replacement for the production. Concealing his illness from his castmates, Charleson is determined to play Hamlet even when Dr. Johnson strongly cautions against it, given the strenuous demands of the role. In between rehearsals, memorization, and practice, Charleson returns to the Royal Free Hospital regularly for treatment with his friend Patsy Pollock (Billie Piper) at his side. As the time comes for him to take to the stage, friends and family rally to Charleson as he gives an empowered and critically acclaimed final performance, inspiring his peers and audiences in the process.
In ‘Elsinore,’ Andrew Scott Gives His Greatest Performance To Date as Ian Charleson
While there are certainly moments when Elsinore stumbles as a film, what is flawless and worthy of universal acclaim is Andrew Scott’s performance as Ian Charleson. Able to grasp the soft and private moments of Charleson’s personal life along with his bombastic on-stage performance, Scott deftly navigates these different aspects of his character, slipping into Charleson’s skin so well that you barely notice his piercing blue contact lenses and straw-gold wig that doesn’t quite pass muster upon closer inspection. In the more personal moments, whether he’s across Piper’s Patsy or Flynn’s Eyre, Scott is able to capture nuance with the smallest of expressions.
But it’s when he’s opposite Luke Thompson‘s Georgie and David Dawson‘s Derek Jarman that he really pulls at the heartstrings of the viewers. Charleson has a close bond with both characters; Georgie is a former flame who is also dying of AIDS, while Jarman is the openly gay director of Jubilee, Charleson’s first film. With Thompson, he is gentle and loving, especially when Georgie is near the end of his life. Initially, when we first see them together in London, there’s already a spark of chemistry; when they meet again at the hospital, the mood is decidedly more somber, but the connection between the two actors is palpable. With Dawson, whose character pushes for Charleson to come out of the closet, the relationship is more fraught. But rather than playing it as purely antagonistic, Scott leans into the characters’ bond.
Where Scott truly shines his brightest, though, is when Charleson is on stage as Hamlet. It’s a veritable Russian nesting doll of a performance: Not only is Scott playing Charleson, but he’s playing Charleson while he’s at his sickest, while also playing the prince of Denmark. His impassioned monologues, particularly Hamlet’s “To be, or not to be” speech, are among the most effective of the entire film. It’s impossible not to be moved by Charleson giving his all to a role that he’s dreamed of playing, and Scott’s portrayal is so seamless that you might even forget that you’re not watching the real Charleson himself on the National Theater stage.
‘Elsinore’ Stumbles Too Far Into Melodrama in the Third Act
Where Elsinore stumbles is in both its tone and its final act. Tonally, the film is dour. Obviously, any movie about AIDS is not necessarily going to be the cheeriest, but Elsinore is so desperately sad at times that it can feel defeating to watch. While the consistency of the tone means that the film hews close to its themes, Stone pushes everything up to 11 by the third act, culminating in a final montage that feels like borderline emotional manipulation.
This is made all the worse by Stefan Gregory‘s sweeping score, which enhances how heartbreaking these moments are. By no means is Gregory’s score bad, but it exaggerates the problem of Stone not necessarily sticking to the same level of nuance that his leading man does. One notable example is the film’s inclusion of a young man named Nicholas (Joe Locke), another AIDS patient we meet at the hospital, which feels almost painfully heavy-handed. Charleson inspires Nicholas to pursue theater when he feels his most hopeless, but in a film already jam-packed with remarkable moments that are based in reality, this inclusion feels entirely fabricated to make the audience feel even sadder than they already do.
Ultimately, Elsinore is a strong film, one that is quite literally the definition of a tearjerker. With any other lead actor, the prestige of the film might falter. Performances from Colman, Piper, Flynn, and Thompson are notable, but Scott is what makes the film stand out from the crowd. Highlighting an unforgettable story, Stone’s Elsinore is well worth its 111-minute runtime, but for god’s sake, bring more than just one pack of tissues to the theater.

Page Six interviewed Tucker in September 2026, featuring the former “RHOA” crew member promoting his upcoming projects, including his movie, “Don’t Bring Your Man To Atlanta,” and new reality project, “Till Divorce Do Us Part.”
During the conversation, he was asked how he handled the difficult moments of his divorce from Burruss. Tucker responded, “I’m gonna be honest, when we separated, I stayed in the guesthouse, which is just me in this big house by myself. My kids and the family are next door, and it was a lot of alone time.”
After that, Tucker said he lacked support during the divorce. According to him, “It was a lot of time in my head, thinking, trying to figure out, ‘What did I just do? What just happened? Did I lose my family?’ So I’m gonna be honest, I had nobody really to lean on.”
After that, he reiterated a moment from the trailer for his reality project, “I looked at my gun. I was like, but then I snapped out of it.”
In discussing what he realized he had to live for despite feeling alone, Tucker recalled, “I was like, ‘No, you have a family. You have kids that you have to see through.’” He added, “It was a lot of dark times.”

Tucker continued his Page Six interview by discussing how much his life has changed since he felt isolated after his divorce from Burruss. He stated, “But since then, I’ve been going to church.”
After that, the 53-year-old discussed his plans to improve his mental health and other areas of his life, including fatherhood. According to him, “I’m about to find me a therapist and just take this journey of rebuilding myself, getting myself where I wanna be and being the best dad and the best co-parent and moving forward.”

After that, Tucker was asked about his ex-mother-in-law, Mama Joyce, who openly criticized him on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” both before and during his marriage to Burruss. Specifically, the reporter asked how it felt to not have her directly involved in his life.
The dad of three responded, “I think it’s a weight lifted off my shoulders.” He then reflected, saying, “It was like I was trying to prove myself to somebody who didn’t like me, and I never stopped.” From there, he shared that despite their contentious relationship, he taught his children to respect their grandmother, adding, “I still cared.”
He continued, “Even though she didn’t like me, you know, at the end of the day I feel like it’s a weight lifted off my shoulders. That’s still my kids’ grandma, and I want them to still have a great relationship.”

Tucker appeared on radio station V-103’s “Big Tigger Morning Show” in September 2026. Early in the interview, the hosts asked for an update on how he’d coped with his divorce from Burruss following their 11-year marriage.
He said, “I’m not whole. I went from being at home with my family every day. The dog, the kids, the nanny, the wife, and now I’m by myself, pretty much.” After that, he discussed masking his loneliness with “going out” and “drinking.”
He then said, “I don’t think people understand, like, divorce; I lost my person.” After saying that the reason for the split from Burruss didn’t matter, Tucker added, “I still lost my person, and I lost my family as I knew it.”
Kandi Burruss Has Responded To Todd Tucker’s Threesome Claims
The trailer for Tucker’s reality project, “Till Divorce Do Us Part,” features him alongside other men, some of whom appeared on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” as he discusses his split from Burruss. In one section, he stated that they had threesomes throughout their marriage.
This led Burruss to issue a statement to PEOPLE in which she accused her ex of being a clout chaser. She said, “A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame.”
The statement continued, “What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that, private. His current behavior has only confirmed that I did the right thing by getting divorced. I Do, I Did, I’m Done!”
