Christos Mandas could be on his way out of Lazio this January, with interest from the Premier League beginning to take shape as the club weigh up their options.

The 24-year-old Greek goalkeeper has slipped firmly into a backup role behind Ivan Provedel under Maurizio Sarri, and Lazio are open to cashing in should the right offer arrive.

After a proposed swap deal with Genoa involving Nicola Leali collapsed before Christmas, attention has shifted decisively towards foreign clubs.

According to reports from CalcioMercato, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United have both made enquiries for Mandas in recent weeks.

There is also tentative interest from Spain, though Premier League sides currently appear the most advanced.

Lazio are asking for around €10m, a figure that would represent a substantial profit on the roughly €1m paid to sign him from OFI Crete two and a half years ago.

Juventus have also been linked with the Greek shot stopper.

Sarri has not blocked a potential exit, but Lazio are proceeding cautiously.

Any sale would first require the club to secure a replacement, with Venezia’s Filip Stanković emerging as a leading candidate. Other profiles are also being monitored in Italy and abroad.

Unless Lazio can line up a suitable deputy goalkeeper, Mandas’ departure may be delayed until the summer window.
