10 Greatest DreamWorks Animation Movie Endings, Ranked

Published

on

Shrek and Fiona smile at each other with their triplets in Shrek the Third

Spoiler Alert: This list contains spoilers for the movies mentioned.

What is the most important part of a movie? Is it the beginning, the middle, or the end? Ideally, a good film would do all of these elements well, and in this list, we will be focusing on the best DreamWorks Animated movie endings.

The ending of a movie is a very important element. If a movie does not have a satisfactory conclusion, it can leave audiences with a bad taste in their mouths. It can spark feelings of confusion, disappointment, or even anger and frustration that the two-hour-long emotional journey viewers invested in was for naught. Luckily, these 10 examples finished strong and left fans happy, satisfied, and sometimes wanting more.

Body swapping, shipwrecks, and more. The third installment in the highly successful Shrek franchise is a solid addition to the canon, but some would argue not one of the best. Despite its flaws, Shrek the Third throws the beloved characters into some fascinating circumstances, namely parenthood.

As Shrek (Mike Myers) finds out he’s about to be a dad, a swirl of emotions rages inside him. As the movie goes on, he works his way through apprehension and feelings of inadequacy. The end of the movie is highly rewarding as audiences get to see Shrek be the hero once again, diving into fatherhood with gusto. The character design of Shrek’s triplets is absolutely adorable, and watching Shrek and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) add another chapter of life to their “happily ever after” is sublime.

‘Madagascar’ (2005)

When four animals team up to leave the city zoo, they are in for a wild adventure in Madagascar. Featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith, Madagascar is a hilarious comedy that is full of talent and humor. Watching the protagonists, who have spent most of their lives in the urban jungle, adapt to feral conditions and learn to hunt and fend for themselves is highly entertaining. At the end of the film, many plotlines are tied up, and Alex the lion (Stiller) and Marty the zebra (Rock) are able to resolve their conflict with a creative solution. Tensions between the two best friends were high after Alex bit Marty when his wild nature started to take over, but a beach full of fresh sushi provides a happy alternative to Marty’s hunger, and there can be harmony in the friend group again.

One of the best moments in the finale comes from the penguins. The flippered foursome of Skipper (Tom McGrath), Kowalski (Chris Miller), Rico (Jeffrey Katzenberg), and Private (Christopher Knights) stole every scene they were in. The penguins were so popular that they got several spinoff movies and TV shorts. The ending to Madagascar finishes with their trademark humor. As the main characters wave goodbye from the bow of a large ship, the penguins lazily sunbathe on the beach nearby. When one of the penguins asks Skipper if they should tell the others that the boat is out of gas, he replies, “Nah, just smile and wave boys. Smile and wave.”

Everybody dies. At least that’s what the end of The Bad Guys 2 wants viewers to believe. It is a punchy and hilarious edit when the action cuts mid-sentence from a shuttle crashing into the atmosphere with all of the heroes inside to a funeral with all of their photos next to a casket and public mourners.

The Bad Guys and The Bad Guys 2 use misdirection very well, and with their sleek animation and thrilling action, the movies feel more like James Bond or Bourne installments than anything else. The true motive behind the fake deaths is revealed as the main characters are recruited to be secret agents. It is a more than fitting end for the unlikely heroes, and it is a sophisticated and smart conclusion that befits the Bad Guys franchise.

After racing against each other and fighting to have a solitary magical wish for their own, the characters in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish come together at the very end of the movie to defeat a common enemy. It is a rousing ending full of action and excitement, and the emotional sentiments that follow are heartfelt and touching.

Throughout the movie, Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) is grappling with his own mortality as he realizes he is down to his last life and Death (Wagner Moura) is literally staring him in the face. After the wish that could have given him more lives is destroyed, Puss turns to his lost love, Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), and says, “Kitty, one life spent with you is all that I could wish for.” The emotional hits keep coming as Goldi (Florence Pugh) realizes she has had the perfect family all along, and the little dog known as Perrito (Harvey Guillén) decides to keep his name, because that is what his friends call him, and he has finally found a place to belong.

A sequel to the highly successful first film, Kung Fu Panda 2, saw many of the stars like Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie, and Dustin Hoffman reprise their roles. The story of the second movie follows the main characters as they face a new enemy. However, one of the most interesting elements of the sequel is the character journey Po (Black) embarks on as he discovers the truth about his past and his birth family.

After learning about the circumstances that led to his adoption by Mr. Ping (James Hong), Po returns at the end of the movie and talks to him. As he explains that he has learned about where he came from and the tragic circumstances that led to their meeting, he says, “I know who I am,” and adds, “I’m your son.” It is a stirring moment full of emotion, and it speaks volumes about found family, identity, and the love between parent and child.

After an arduous journey with numerous perils and a life-or-death wager, the goddess Eris (Michelle Pfeiffer) asks Sinbad (Brad Pitt) a simple question. If he gets the Book of Peace, it would be a happy ending, but if he didn’t, would he go back and take the place of his friend Proteus (Joseph Fiennes), who had wagered his life on Sinbad’s success? The stakes couldn’t have been higher, as not only were the lives of the two heroes at risk, but the well-being of everyone else that depended on them, Proteus’ subjects and Sinbad’s crew.

At the very moment Sinbad has gone back and agreed to give his life instead of Proteus’, the blade of the executioner shatters into pieces, and Eris appears again. It turns out it was all a test to see if Sinbad would keep his word and go back to die. It is a fascinating and dramatic ending full of tension. From the stained blood on the executioner’s block to the subtle gestures and vocal nuances given in the performances, it is exceptional. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas is one of DreamWorks’ most underrated triumphs and definitely has one of its best endings.

‘How to Train Your Dragon’ (2010)

Not only does How to Train Your Dragon have an awesome intro and starts strong, but it also has a surprising finale and ends with a flourish. After Toothless (Randy Thom) saves Hiccup’s (Jay Baruchel) life, Hiccup awakes in his house to find two shocking surprises. The first is that Toothless, a dragon, is allowed to be inside his house, especially given his father, Stoick’s (Gerard Butler), predisposition towards dragons. And the second is that he has had the lower part of his left leg amputated.

The fact that Hiccup lost his leg was quite a shock for audiences as well, especially in the genre of kids’ movies which tend to play it safe. Having a real consequence to battle, and the significance that Toothless was missing the left part of his tail, is not lost on viewers. As Hiccup takes the first few, unsteady steps on his new leg, he is met with another surprise when he opens the front door to the house and sees dragons and citizens of Berk living together in harmony. The end monologue narrated by Hiccup ties back to the beginning of the story, and it is a fantastic finale.

‘The Prince of Egypt’ (1998)

Based on the life of Moses, The Prince of Egypt was DreamWorks second animated film ever and one of its most accomplished. The predominantly hand-drawn animation is visually stunning, and the music and voice acting are superb. The cast is packed full of talent, including Val Kilmer, Sandra Bullock, Ralph Fiennes, and Michelle Pfeiffer. The entire movie is a masterpiece, and the ending has three great takeaways.

At the end of the movie, after Rameses (Fiennes) has reluctantly let the Hebrew people go after subjecting them to slavery, he has a change of heart and decides to pursue and overtake them in the desert. As Moses (Kilmer) and the people are pinned with Rameses and his soldiers behind them and a vast sea in front of them, God intervenes, and a miracle takes place. The parting of the Red Sea is a fantastic achievement in animation and reportedly took around two years to complete.

After the people reach safety and the sea crashes down behind them, drowning their pursuers, Tzipporah (Pfeiffer) turns to her husband and says, “Look. Look at your people, Moses. They are free.” This moment signifies the full-circle story arch the movie has shown where Moses started out as the son of a slave, was adopted to be a prince of Egypt, and is now the leader of a nation. For the third and final bookmark at the end, as the very last few frames of the movie roll, Moses walks down the mountain holding two stone tablets with the 10 Commandments written on them. The melody “Deliver Us” from the opening of the movie plays, and the voice of Moses’ mother is heard one last time. There is so much meaning in this conclusion that now the people have been physically delivered from bondage, there is a need for spiritual delivery from sin, and these new Commandments will begin a whole new era in Israel’s political and religious history. It is a finale full of meaning and symbolism and a perfect 10/10.

2

‘Shrek’ (2001)

Shrek and Fiona holding hands in Shrek in Shrek

A fairy tale like none other, Shrek blew the fantasy genre apart, and the ending was as outrageous and unexpected as the rest of the film. After the unlikely hero, an ogre named Shrek (Myers), had fallen in love with the princess he was sent to rescue, he crashed her wedding to Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow). After Shrek kisses Fiona (Diaz), the shapeshifting spell she had been under her whole life is lifted, and she remains an ogre.

The ending to Shrek is a fantastic, fractured fairy tale moment. Flipping so many tales like The Frog Prince and Beauty and the Beast on their head, where being anything but human is a form of curse or punishment, Fiona’s “love’s true form” is revealed as an ogre, not a human. This surprising ending is all the sweeter because Shrek finds out that Fiona loves him, too, and he never thought romance would be a storyline he would be a part of. Shrek’s ending suited the rest of the film perfectly. It was surprising, unique, and it told the story it wanted to tell without making any apologies.

As the third feature-length movie in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, The Hidden World saw Hiccup (Baruchel) and Toothless (Thom) step into pivotal roles. As both Hiccup and Toothless become rulers of their respective communities, their character journeys are fulfilled as they grow into the leaders they were always meant to be. At the end of the film, Hiccup realizes that he has been trying to build a world based on his wants, and it is time to think about Toothless and the other dragons’ needs. In a moving scene, the people of Berk take the saddles off their dragons and bid tearful farewells.

If this scene wasn’t emotional enough, an even more poignant moment happens within a flash forward. The final sequence shows Hiccup and Astrid (America Ferrera) with their two children, sailing to a location surrounded by mist. Through the fog, Toothless, his mate, and three little dragons become visible. After a moment of trepidation, wondering if Toothless would remember him or not, all fears are put to rest, and Toothless and Hiccup have a beautiful and joyous reunion. Hiccup also gets the opportunity to teach his children how to respect and interact with dragons. It is a lovely conclusion full of heart and emotional payoff for fans of the films. Hiccup’s final words about dragons waiting until the world is worthy enough for them to return are the icing on the cake.

The Academy Has Decided
Your Perfect Film Is…

Your answers have pointed to one Oscar Best Picture winner above all others. This is the film that was made for the way your mind works.

Parasite

You are drawn to films that operate on multiple levels simultaneously — that begin in one genre and quietly, brilliantly migrate into another. Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is a film about class, desire, and the architecture of inequality that manages to be darkly funny, deeply suspenseful, and genuinely shocking across a single extraordinary running time. Your instinct is for cinema that hides its true intentions until the moment it’s ready to reveal them. Parasite is exactly that — a film that rewards close attention and punishes assumptions, right up to its devastating final image.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

You want it all — and this film gives you all of it. The Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All at Once is one of the most maximalist films ever made: action comedy, multiverse sci-fi, family drama, existential crisis, and a genuinely earned emotional core that sneaks up on you amid the chaos. You are someone who responds to ambition, who doesn’t want cinema to choose between being entertaining and being meaningful. This film refuses that choice entirely. It is overwhelming by design, and its overwhelming nature is precisely the point — because the feeling of being crushed by infinite possibility is exactly what it’s about.

Oppenheimer

You are drawn to cinema on a grand scale — films that understand history not as a backdrop but as a force, and that place their characters inside that force and watch what happens. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a film about the terrifying gap between what we can do and what we should do, told with the full weight of one of the most consequential moments in human history behind it. You want your films to feel important without feeling self-important — to earn their ambition through sheer craft and the gravity of their subject. Oppenheimer does exactly that. It is enormous, complicated, and refuses easy comfort.

Birdman

You are drawn to films that foreground their own construction — that make the how of the filmmaking part of the what it’s about. Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman, shot to appear as a single continuous take, is cinema examining itself through the cracked mirror of a fading actor’s ego. You respond to formal daring, to the feeling that a film is doing something that probably shouldn’t be possible. Michael Keaton’s performance and Emmanuel Lubezki’s restless camera create something genuinely unlike anything else — a film that is simultaneously about creativity, relevance, self-destruction, and the impossibility of ever truly knowing if your work means anything at all.

No Country for Old Men

You are drawn to cinema that trusts silence, that refuses to explain itself, and that treats dread as a form of meaning. The Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men is a film about the arrival of a new kind of evil — implacable, arbitrary, and utterly indifferent to the moral frameworks we use to make sense of the world. It is one of the most formally controlled films ever made, and its controlled restraint is what makes it so terrifying. You want your films to haunt you, not comfort you. You are not interested in resolution if resolution would be dishonest. No Country for Old Men is honest in a way that most cinema never dares to be.

Sexy Sci-Fi Blockbuster On Netflix Reveals Which Of Your Friends Are Psychos

Sexy Sci-Fi Blockbuster On Netflix Reveals Which Of Your Friends Are Psychos

By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

When Passengers came out in 2016, it caused a relatively minor blip on the pop culture radar. The movie starred two different Marvel icons, Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, so there was plenty of hype before the movie premiered. While it made okay money at the box office, it was a critical bomb (a freaking 30 percent on Rotten Tomatoes!) that almost everybody hated. That’s because it was a sci-fi movie without any real action, adventure, or exploration. Of course, the studio couldn’t market Passengers for what it really is: a horror movie where Chris Pratt’s penis is the monster trying to kill you.

Well, not you, personally, but Jennifer Lawrence. You see, this is a film where Pratt’s character wakes up 90 years early on a sleeper ship. As his loneliness mounts, he eventually awakens Lawrence’s character early. He’s just hoping for companionship, but he doesn’t seem to realize the moral ickiness of dooming someone else to crippling, soul-crushing isolation. Because of this, Passengers (now streaming on Netflix) makes for a pretty terrible sci-fi movie. However, it’s weirdly perfect to show other people for exactly one reason: how they react to Pratt’s decision to wake up Lawrence early reveals whether or not you can actually trust your friends and family!

Creepers Gonna Creep

The idea of using Passengers as a Rorschach test for friends is important to me because I did it completely by accident. Years ago, I was discussing this film with a younger friend who had previously made the bold choice to move in with an older woman and become a father figure to her three children (I promise, this factoid will be important later). My buddy claimed that the decision made by Pratt’s character was understandable; after all, the character was so lonely and depressed that he contemplated suicide. However, I maintained that waking Lawrence’s character up early was both manipulative and cruel, effectively dooming someone else to a life of depression and isolation.

Our debate over Passengers effectively became a debate over empathy. My friend empathized with Pratt’s character and imagined how he would feel about going the rest of his life without human interaction. To my buddy, waking up a woman for companionship was an understandable act of desperation. Meanwhile, I empathized with Lawrence’s character, arguing that I’d hate to be the one forced into a life of isolation because someone couldn’t keep it in their pants. Months after our debate, my friend got a new job far away, and his girlfriend drove him hundreds of miles, where they actively planned to buy a house together. A happy ending, right?

A Movie That Rewards Bad Choices

Nah. He fell for a girl at his new gig less than a week after moving and dumped the woman (the one with three kids who saw him as a father figure) he had been dating for years. When it happened, my first thought was our argument over Passengers. As it turns out, he really was like Pratt’s character at the end of the day: someone who would screw over anyone if he simply got lonely and horny enough.

Now, the internet is filled with countless different ideas for testing those in your life with weird scenarios. This includes everything from nonsensical stuff (“would you still love me if I was a worm?”) to weirdly controversial stuff (“do you choose the bear or the man?”). However, most of these hypotheticals are a very stupid way of learning anything useful about my friends and family. But the scenario in Passengers is so meaty and compelling that it’s like an ethics word problem brought to life. For Pratt’s character, the question is whether he’s justified in waking up Jennifer Lawrence’s character because he is on the verge of suicide.

An Argument That Makes You Wanna Scream

To me, Pratt is not justified. Sure, I felt bad for the guy, but he’s making a deliberate choice to inflict his own misery on someone else. That’d be bad enough if he had just woken up another man so he’d have someone to bro out with, making himself the only human contact the other guy would ever have.  However, he deliberately wakes up somebody that he found attractive in hopes of them having sex. It’s textbook manipulation and, spoilers, they do end up hooking up. The movie presents this as a happy ending, but this is the It’s Always Sunny “because of the implication” thing played out to its darkest extreme.

Anyway, my buddy who so passionately defended Pratt’s character? Soon afterward, he ended up making his own selfish decision in the name of getting some strange, destroying an existing relationship he had spent the better part of a decade developing. Basically, Passengers revealed something dark about this dude’s personality, and it didn’t take him long to prove his character. Want to figure out which of your own friends and family you can actually trust? Then grab the remote and brace yourself because Passengers is currently streaming on Netflix.

Author Reacts To Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Netflix Adaptation

Harry and Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle earned a co-sign from the brains behind their latest venture!

The Sussexes are no strangers to Netflix productions, and right now, their latest attempt at making another masterpiece with the streaming service is getting all the green light from the author of the book.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s chapter with Netflix began shortly after they exited the United Kingdom in 2020, subsequently striking a five-year deal with the company to create various content.

Author Carley Fortune opened up about working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the upcoming Netflix adaptation of her bestselling novel, “Meet Me at the Lake.” She revealed on a June 18 episode of Jenna Bush Hager’s “Open Book” podcast that the project is a brainchild of Archewell Productions and Netflix.

Stating that the project is still in development, Fortune noted that a director has been attached to the film and the script is still being revised. Fortune described collaborating with the power couple as a surreal experience that was “just so wild.”

She added that while her team was in the early stages of securing the adaptation, there was an in-depth conversation with Meghan and Archewell executive Tracy Ryerson, stating that she felt they were truly connected with the heart of the story.

The author affirmed that their discussion went beyond romance and focused on the emotional themes woven throughout the novel, including motherhood, grief, mental health, and the deeper meaning behind love stories.

The Author Talks About The Emotional Themes In The Book

In 2023, it became public information that Harry and Meghan had earned the rights to Fortune’s second romance novel for an adaptation at Netflix. Fortune was beyond excited about the collaboration at the time, noting that Fern and Will’s story mean a great deal to her and described the partnership as a perfect fit.

According to a source, the story resonated with the Sussexes because they saw similarities between the book’s themes and aspects of their own lives. The novel captures the life of Fern and Will, two strangers who spend one unforgettable day together in Toronto and promise to reunite at a lakeside resort the following year.

However, when Will finally returns nine years later, Fern is left wondering whether the person she once connected with still exists. Beyond the romance, the story also delves into the more profound emotional aspects, such as mental health and postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Fortune said that she has first-hand experience with postpartum OCD, which is why she included it in the book. She explained that romance novels allow readers to engage with difficult topics through stories that still offer hope and emotional payoff.

She admitted that many readers later contacted her to say that they were not aware of what they were suffering from until reading the novel. Fortune added that readers shared with her that the book gave them the confidence to speak to loved ones or seek professional help, as many of the stories in the novel have had a profound effect on their lives.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Reportedly Developing Afghanistan War Film At Netflix

In May, Deadline shared that the couple expanded their Netflix collection with a feature adaptation based on “No Way Out: The Searing True Story of Men Under Siege,” the bestselling military memoir by Major Adam Jowett.

The project tells the story of Easy Company, which is a unit made up of Paratroopers and Royal Irish Rangers that was deployed to Afghanistan’s Helmand province in July 2006 during the war.

Under Jowett’s command, the under-strength unit was assigned to defend the Musa Qala District Center despite being isolated and heavily outnumbered by Taliban forces.

The book is being adapted for Netflix as part of Archewell Productions’ agreement with Netflix and screenwriter Matt Charman, who has previously worked on “Oliver Twist” and “Bridge of Spies.”

The narrative traces Easy Company’s experiences as the soldiers fought through weeks of relentless attacks inside an exposed compound, all while facing the harsh realities of combat with dwindling supplies and ammunition.

Jowett’s memoir portrays both the excitement of war and the heartbreak of commanding men in impossible situations.

The book, which was published in 2019 by Pan Macmillan, has been likened to war classics like “Black Hawk Down” and “The Bridge on the River Kwai” for its emotional and high-stakes narrative.

Harry has personally experienced the deployment twice with active military service, including Helmand Province in Afghanistan, and the project holds special meaning for him.

The film will be produced by Harry and Meghan in partnership with Archewell, to be overseen by scripted content executive Tracy Ryerson.

The Couple Eyes Netflix Takeover With More Scripted And Non-Fiction Projects

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
MEGA

PEOPLE revealed in March that Harry and Meghan’s production company is on the quest to build a broader line-up of projects that will extend beyond Netflix in the coming years.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently have both scripted and non-fiction content in development with multiple projects moving through different stages.

The new update comes after it was announced on March 23, 2026, that Archewell and Netflix are collaborating on a new scripted series set in the world of polo.

The project is reportedly inspired by the 2024 Netflix docuseries POLO, which is about one of Prince Harry’s longtime interests. The pair seems to still be putting money into stories related to the sport, albeit with a bit of low viewing figures on the documentary.

Archewell’s expanding list comes after a change in its deal with Netflix, which began as a one-year deal covering both films and TV, but has since been expanded to a multiple-year first-look option for both mediums. The development news comes shortly after reports of tension between the Sussexes and the streaming platform.

However, representatives for both Netflix and the couple reportedly denied those claims. The rumor started to spread when Netflix was reported to have been taken aback by Harry and Meghan’s extensively covered Oprah interview in 2021, ahead of their 2022 documentary series “Harry & Meghan.”

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle May Make Some Lifestyle Choices Amid Alleged Financial Trouble

As shared by The Blast a few days ago, it is being rumored that Harry and Meghan could be forced to review and reconsider their high-profile California lifestyle as discussions about long-term financial well-being begin to arise.

The former working royal may reportedly be under growing financial pressures tied to the maintenance costs of their Montecito if they get fewer gigs moving forward.

The Montecito mansion was purchased for $14 million over five years ago and has served as a haven for the royals and their kids since leaving England behind.

According to a royal commentator, Maureen Callahan, the couple have been unable to profit from the public interest invested in their royal background compared to the past few years.

Should this problem persist, Meghan and Harry might reportedly move to a much smaller property in order to save running costs.

Another drastic move on the couple’s part may be the Duchess making a surprising return to acting, as she has signed several media deals and partnerships with companies like Netflix and Spotify.

Garrett Morris Responds To Viral Photo With Humor

Garrett Morris Responds To Viral Photo With Humor

Original “SNL” cast member Garrett Morris has reacted to a viral photo of himself with actress Taraji. P. Henson. The image looked ordinary at first glance, with the two stars smiling for the camera. Eagle-eyed users, however, noticed the large bulge in Morris’ pants.

The comedian turned the viral photo into a marketing opportunity, using his signature humor to address the buzz and promote his upcoming memoir.

On June 16, Taraji P. Henson shared a carousel of photos featuring her friends who attended her Broadway debut. Among those included in the photos were Angela Bassett, Anthony Mackie, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen Pompeo, and Garrett Morris.

Soon after the post was uploaded, some of Henson’s 21 million followers reacted to her photo with Morris, which captured a bulge in the 89-year-old comedian’s pants. In it, Morris sat while Henson stood beside him, both wearing beaming smiles while holding hands.

The actress has since removed the photo from the carousel, but not before it spread on social media.

“Is he hiding a weapon in his pants?” one user asked. Another guessed that it was a colostomy bag, while others suggested a bunched-up diaper. “Taraji looks amazing, Garrett is a legend, but can we all be honest for a second? My eyes wandered somewhere else, and now I can’t unsee it. The longer you look, the more questions you start asking,” another person wrote.

A couple of days later, Morris posted a short video on his Instagram to address the online buzz over the bulge in his pants. In the video, the comedian held a hair pick with a microphone held between the prongs.

“Well, hello there. I’m Garrett Morris. It seems I’ve caused quite a stir because of a recent photo where it looks like I have a baby boa constrictor between my legs,” Morris stated. He continued to say that he doesn’t mind the stereotypes associated with Black men. However, he said, “I’m more than a body. I’m a brain, too.”

The “SNL” alum pointed out that throughout his decades-long career, he’s been photographed with many award-winning entertainers, and he never thought he would be upstaged by his p-nis.

Morris diverted the attention from the photo and talked about his upcoming book. “Since you are all up in my business right now, I want you to be all up in my book,” he said. The upcoming memoir, entitled “Ain’t That a B-tch,” will be released sometime in 2027.

He also took the opportunity to urge his followers to vote. “I hope you’re laughing, but don’t laugh about this. I was here during that civil rights movement. I actually saw Martin Luther King preach about us fighting for our rights,” Morris continued. He concluded the video by reminding users to purchase his book in 2027.

In the caption, Morris wrote, “I see the internet has been busy,” followed by a smirking emoji. “With everybody talking, I figured I’d give you something new to talk about.”

Morris began his career in music and studied at Juilliard and Dillard University. He performed with Harry Belafonte for several years, was part of theater groups, appeared on Broadway, and taught music before being hired by “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels.

In 1975, “SNL” premiered, then titled “NBC’s Saturday Night,” featuring cast members John Belushi, Laraine Newman, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, and Garrett Morris, known collectively as the “Not Ready for Prime Time Players.” The comedian was initially hired as a writer, but Michaels saw one of the movies he was in and asked him to audition.

Morris was on “SNL” as a writer and cast member until 1980.

Garrett Morris Received Has A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Following “SNL,” Morris appeared on several shows, such as “The Jeffersons,” “Martin,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” and “2 Broke Girls.” He was also in a few movies, including “The Stuff,” “Coneheads,” and “How High.”

Morris received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024, on his 87th birthday. At the ceremony, he said, “I am so thankful for this day. I have a whole lot of stuff I want to say, but I can’t do it all. But when you see my star, just look at it and smile because all I’ve ever wanted was to bring a little light to the world. I hope I’ve done it.”

They were later spotted checking into a Paris hotel in early February, adding fuel to the fire. At the time, a source exclusively told Us that Kim and Hamilton had been on “a few dates recently” but were keeping things “casual.”

Oliver Tree's Mother's Tribute Reveals Heartbreaking Loss

Oliver Tree’s sudden death in a helicopter crash has left fans searching for answers and loved ones grappling with an unimaginable loss.

As tributes continue pouring in for the singer, some of the most heartbreaking messages have come from those who knew him best.

Days after the tragedy in Brazil, Tree’s mother shared an emotional farewell to her son, while his girlfriend opened up about their private relationship, their adventures around the world, and the painful reality of mourning the man she called her partner and best friend.

Oliver Tree’s mother, Christine Begin Nickell, broke her silence this week with a touching message honoring her late son.

The grieving mom posted a childhood photo of the 32-year-old on Facebook and reflected on the legacy he left behind after his death in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“Our dear son Oliver, you made this world a better place. We are so proud of you. RIP,” Nickell wrote.

Tree was among six people killed in the crash early Sunday. Also killed were YouTube personality Gaspar “Gaspi” Prim, director and screenwriter Lucas Vignale, music producer Lucas Brito Chaves, and pilots Charles Marsillac and Alexandre Souza.

Tree’s Girlfriend Pleads For Privacy

Oliver Tree’s longtime girlfriend Fiona Chernavskaya also shared an emotional statement as she processed the devastating loss.

Taking to Instagram Stories, she thanked supporters who had reached out with messages of comfort.

“I appreciate every ounce of support at this time,” Chernavskaya wrote per the Daily Mail, adding, “There are so many who have been affected by his passing, please show them love too.”

She also addressed speculation surrounding her relationship with the late singer and urged the public to respect her privacy. “Please have some respect for my privacy, we kept our relationship very intimate,” she said.

Chernavskaya firmly pushed back against online gossip involving Tree’s personal life, noting,  “What I really don’t need is to see gossip about other women that Oliver may have been seeing, we were monogamous.”

“Right now I’m mourning my partner and best friend, anything else is unimportant. Please have some respect,” she added.

Oliver Tree’s Partner Reflects On Their Life Together

In another emotional post, Chernavskaya reflected on the adventures they shared during their relationship.

“To my best friend, we traveled to 43 countries, and all 7 continents together,” she began.

She described the impact Tree had on her life and countless others, noting that it would never be forgotten or replaced.

One of the most emotional parts of her tribute recalled conversations they had during difficult moments.

“You’d always tell me when we argued, if things don’t work out in this lifetime, you will find me in the next. I love you buggy,” Chernavskaya recounted.

The touching message quickly resonated with fans, many of whom had never previously seen the intensely private side of Tree’s personal life.

Tree Was Still Planning Future Performances Before The Crash

Oliver Tree remained professionally active until the very end. His final concert took place on June 6 in São Paulo, Brazil, just weeks before the fatal crash. He had also been scheduled to perform in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 1.

Despite his eccentric public image, Tree continued promoting his latest project, “Love You Madly Hate You Badly,” throughout the spring.

One of his final major interviews came on April 24 during an appearance on “The Zach Sang Show,” where he arrived dressed in a Shrek costume.

During the conversation, Tree spoke candidly about money, fame, and what he wanted to happen after his death. Rather than focusing on inheritance, he revealed that he had structured his affairs very differently.

“I don’t believe that any of the wealth or the things that get made from it is mine,” he said.

He continued, “And so when I die, set it up, my will is set up that when I pass, my family, no one’s gonna get a penny; if I have a wife or kids or anything, [they’re] not getting a f-cking penny.”

Although Tree never married and had no children, he explained that he did not want future generations growing up dependent on his success.

Oliver Tree Wanted His Legacy To Support Future Artists

One of the most revealing parts of Tree’s final interview centered on the legacy he hoped to leave behind. While discussing wealth and inheritance, he explained that his long-term vision was to funnel his earnings back into the creative community.

“I’ll get my kids through college, that’s the agreement, but they’re not going to be a silver spoon. They’re taken care of ‘because my dad worked on some stuff in the 2000s,’” he shared.

Instead, Tree revealed that he had already established a foundation called Dr. Oliver Tree’s Art Grants for Baby Geniuses, which would use proceeds from his work to support artists.

“The idea is when I die, all the money’s gonna go back to artists,” Tree said. He explained that the organization would be funded largely through ongoing royalties generated by his music and artistic catalog.

Tree also acknowledged the often-observed reality that appreciation for artists frequently grows after their deaths.

“People will finally appreciate my stupid f*cking videos, my f*cking stupid songs – that’s when people appreciate you when you’re not there anymore,” he stated.

Despite that observation, he remained focused on the future of his art and its potential impact.

In his words, “Anyways, they might not, doesn’t even make a difference … the art will continue to make money no matter what.”

Walton Goggins’ 2018 Action Hit Surges on HBO Max as ‘Fallout’ Season 3 Moves Forward

Published

After acquiring the iconic spy franchise for an eye-watering $1 billion, Amazon’s James Bond era is beginning to take shape. Although we are still far from seeing a new 007 mission take to the big screen, the hunt for the new Bond is officially underway, with casting director Nina Gold previously confirming that Amazon is looking for a young actor who “oozes sex appeal” to take on the role. Whoever they are — with Callum Turner the current favorite – they will be in safe hands, under the directorial eye of the great Denis Villeneuve and with a script from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

But Bond isn’t the only beloved franchise getting the Prime Video treatment, even if the next iteration of the super spy will likely be in theaters. Tomb Raider, the video game franchise that has shipped over 100 million units since its debut in 1996, is getting yet another adaptation, with Game of Thrones favorite Sophie Turner taking over as the iconic Lara Croft. She will be joined in an exciting cast by the likes of Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, and more, with Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge taking on the role of creator, writer, and co-showrunner. Turner will be stepping into the footsteps of, most famously, Angelina Jolie, although this wasn’t the last actress to don the tactical gear.

In 2018, Alicia Vikander, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal of portrait painter Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl, took on the role in a significantly grittier retelling of the classic video game. Now considered one of the most underrated video game adaptations ever, Tomb Raider earned mixed reviews from critics. Collider’s Matt Goldberg offering a scathing review, which called the film a “morose, bland adventure movie that simply falls into the ever-growing pile of bad film adaptations of video games.” Thankfully, time has been kind to the film, with it currently one of the ten most-streamed movies on HBO Max in the U.S. The film also stars Walton Goggins, who should be a familiar face for video game fans thanks to another adaptation, Fallout, which is gearing up for its third season.

You’re pinned down and outnumbered. What does your ideal partner do?
This is when you find out what someone is really made of.

The mission is paused. You have one evening to decompress. What does your partner suggest?
Who someone is when the pressure drops is who they actually are.

No one comes without baggage. The question is whether you can carry it together.

10

It’s the final moment. Everything is on the line. What do you need from your partner right now?
The last question is the most honest one.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

Was ‘Tomb Raider’ a Hit in Theaters?

Sure, the movie failed to prove a hit with critics, but could it find success in theaters? Against a production budget of $90 million, Tomb Raider earned an impressive global haul of $275 million, split between $58 million in domestic revenue and a further $217 million from overseas markets. The film wasn’t one of the highest-grossing of 2018, but its success was undeniable, and it leaves the franchise in a great place heading into its latest reboot.

Tomb Raider is streaming now on HBO Max. Stay tuned to Collider for the latest streaming stories.

Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll Still Planning Baby Amid Split

Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll may have called it quits, but that doesn’t mean their baby plans are also over.

In the Thursday, June 18, episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, Bunnie, 46, revealed that the exes are planning to continue their fertility journey with the aim to start a family — despite going their separate ways as a couple.

“You guys are going to be shocked to hear this but we’re still having a baby,” Bunnie said on the podcast.

Before filing for divorce after 10 years of marriage, Bunnie and Jelly Roll had embarked on an emotionally and physically grueling IVF journey in attempts to welcome a child together.

Acknowledging that she and Jelly Roll are being “unconventional,” Bunnie further explained that they both are unwilling to give up the dream of a baby.

“We’re still having a baby together, we’re going to coparent together,” Bunnie continued. “I’m so excited to live my life through a child’s eyes, which is why, with this baby journey, I’m not going to let it break me. And I’m not going to detour it. J has been so great about us still having a baby together and he wants the same thing.”

Bunnie continued, “We’re just going to raise little Nugget as one big happy family.”

In the past, Bunnie has been candid about the difficulties of going through IVF, and opened up again on Thursday’s podcast.

“It completely wrecked me. It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically,” she admitted.
“It was so hard on me that for the past year-and-a-half, I became a shell of the person I was because I’m doing these IVF journeys.”

Bunnie also spoke openly about the pregnancy losses she and Jelly Roll suffered along the way.

“J and I have lost four embryos. We’ve had three transfers but we lost the two twins that we were going to try to have and then we lost the other two,” she said, describing the experience as “gutwrenching” and “so heartbreaking.”

Later in the podcast, Bunnie described Jelly Roll as her “best friend.” Bunnie said things between them just fell apart after they “served our purpose for each other” and claimed no infidelity caused the divorce.

For his part, Jelly Roll broke his silence on the pair’s marriage breakdown, also insisting their relationship is still amicable.

“Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today,” he said on stage in New York on Thursday. “Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth.”

Earlier this week, Us Weekly confirmed that Jelly Roll quietly filed for divorce from Bunnie back in May.

According to court documents obtained by Us, the country singer cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, adding that the “parties are unable to live together successfully as Husband and Wife” any longer.

Jelly Roll is a father of two through previous relationships. The Grammy nominee shares daughter Bailee with ex-girlfriend Felicia Beckwith and son Noah Buddy, 9, with ex Melisa Ann Cowell. (During their marriage, Jelly Roll and Bunnie had primary custody of Bailee when she was a minor.)

Bunnie Xo made some cryptic Instagram posts hours before news broke that her husband Jelly Roll filed for divorce. On Monday, June 15, Bunnie (real name: Alisa DeFord) posed in lingerie for her Instagram Story and included the intriguing caption, “She’s getting her sparkle back.” In a separate Story, she shared the quote, “Come here, […]

“Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth,” Jelly Roll added, referencing the Thursday episode of her “Dumb Blondes” podcast, where Bunnie denied rumors of a romance with Chad Kroeger.

“That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it,” Jelly Roll continued.

The country star ended with a message for Bunnie directly, thanking her for the time they spent together.

“Bunnie, I love you baby. Thank you for those 10 years. They were incredible. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship and 20 beyond that,” he said.

Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) quietly filed for divorce from Bunnie (real name Alyssa DeFord) in Tennessee on May 18, Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, June 15.

Hours before news of the split broke, Bunnie posed in pink lingerie in a photo shared via her Instagram Story, adding the caption, “She’s getting her sparkle back.” The podcaster also shared a video of herself lip-synching to Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me,” a song allegedly based on a toxic relationship.

Months before the split news, Bunnie clapped back at rumors of marital trouble.

“Someone said the other day, ‘They used to always be together, and now you never see them together,’” Bunnie said on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast in October 2025. “I’m like, ‘Do you guys not know that for the past six months [that] I’ve been trying to make a baby?’” (Jelly Roll and his now-estranged wife have been open about their IVF and surrogacy journey.)

She continued, “My husband has to work to f***ing bring home the bacon. Luckily, I get the luxury of working from home. He doesn’t. He has to make appearances, but I literally have been on IVF meds for f***ing six months and going through heartbreak and f***ing so much s***.”

Jelly Roll met Bunnie at one of his concerts in Las Vegas in 2015. The pair tied the knot in the city’s famous Little White Wedding Chapel in August 2016.

The same month that Jelly Roll tied the knot with Bunnie, he welcomed son Noah Buddy with ex Melisa Ann Cowell. (The country singer’s daughter, Bailee Ann, whom he shares with ex Felicia Beckwith, was born during his incarceration for a drug dealing offense in 2008.)

Jelly Roll and Bunnie have been open about the ups and downs in their relationship. In October 2025, the “Save Me” singer got candid about cheating on Bunnie during their marriage.

“One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said on the “Human School” podcast. “Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back. … I wish our story would’ve went in the way that it never had an affair. I’m proud of who we are today. I truly am.”

Bunnie also opened up about the cheating scandal in her February memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, and exclusively told Us at the time that it was difficult to move past his “betrayal.”

“I don’t think anybody can just snap out of it. It is a process. You’re literally grieving and you’re heartbroken but you’re still in love with this person. Even though the affair is a part of the book, it’s not our story,” she shared. “It’s literally what catapulted us into who we are today and I think that readers need to definitely consume it, chew on it and think about it. But they also see what we’ve made from that entire situation. It completely changed who we are as humans and how we looked at love.”

Demi Moore‘s latest “glass hair” look at the premiere of La Vie D’Une Femme during the Cannes Film Festival exuded a regal polish that even we can’t stop thinking about. Kerastase Anti-Frizz Hair Oil is the secret, and it’s one of many Hollywood hair secrets that you can actually shop on Amazon for less than you think.

Celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos used the shine-boosting oil to give Moore’s signature long brunette hair that ultra-reflective, frizz-free finish that looked almost like liquid under the light. Weightless yet intensely smoothing, the formula helps to tame flyaways, soften dry ends and leave hair with that expensive-looking sheen without making it feel greasy.

The formula is a go-to for stylists thanks to its lightweight texture. Instead of sitting on top of the hair or making roots appear oily, the serum-like oil penetrates strands to add movement while keeping flyaways under control. A few drops instantly help soften frizz, tame static and make hair look healthier and more polished, even if it’s been heat styled, color treated or exposed to humidity.

Part of what gives the formula its glossy, smoothing effect is its blend of nourishing oils and conditioning ingredients that coat the hair without leaving behind a sticky residue. It’s infused with wild rose in oil, an ingredient known for helping boost softness and shine while giving hair that silky, light-reflective finish. It also contains moisturizing agents that help smooth the appearance of rough, dry cuticles.

To use, work through damp hair before blow drying for a smoother finish, or apply to dry hair after styling to add shine and definition, especially through the mid-lengths and ends.

One reviewer with “dry and frizzy” hair called the formula “magical” and not “heavy and greasy like other oils.”
