You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

Dutton Ranch’s Marc Menchaca Weighs In on Possible Onscreen Death

Published

on

'Dutton Ranch' Star Reveals If They Are Worried About [Spoiler]'s Death

Yellowstone‘s spinoff Dutton Ranch is not holding back when it comes to shocking character deaths.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Marc Menchaca weighed in on whether the deadly twists on the show had him worried about his character Zachariah’s fate, saying, “It’s always a possibility — and I have a pretty good track record of saying bye bye on a show.”

Menchaca poked fun at his bad luck on screen.

“My wife [Lena Headey] made a death reel for me for my birthday this last year. It was about 10 minutes and it didn’t even have all my deaths,” he quipped. “So I was a little bit [worried].”

He continued: “I was like, ‘They may take me out so I better get on everybody’s good side.’ Hopefully it won’t happen but the way things are now, you get these scripts just a little bit before. Then you start going through and you’re like, ‘Is it gonna happen next scene?’ Thankfully it has not [yet].”

Yellowstone initially introduced viewers to the Dutton family in 2018. The Paramount Network show came to an end in 2024, expanding its universe with Luke Grimes’ CBS show Marshals and Dutton Ranch, which premiered in May.

Dutton Ranch has introduced some new characters played by Annette Bening and Ed Harris. Other newcomers include Jai Courtney, Natalie Alyn Lind, Juan Pablo Raba, J. R. Villarreal — and Menchaca’s Zachariah.

“He was a cowboy that they trashed around and he’d go work on ranches here and there. He was just one of those guys who rodeo and work to get by. That’s the part of the cowboy life that’s the whole core,” he noted. “It’s incredibly exciting because you never know what’s going to happen — either on the back of a bucking horse or if you’re out roping. There’s an element of surprise always around.”

Menchaca built out the idea from there, saying, “He was addicted to that cowboy life, and then once I found out about what did end up happening that sent him to prison, that kind of brought everything together.”

Filming Dutton Ranch allowed Menchaca to connect with his roots.

“I grew up that life. I just took from ranchers that I worked for,” he shared. “I wanted to be a team roper when I was a kid and it brought my childhood back to me.”

Looking ahead, Menchaca teased what is yet to come, adding, “Obviously there’s going to be tension. It definitely creates tension and we will find out that there are some things about the 10 Petal that are unbecoming of a country boy.”

How Star Trek: Voyager Accidentally Saved Deep Space Nine

How Star Trek: Voyager Accidentally Saved Deep Space Nine

By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

Normally, Star Trek fans think of Deep Space Nine and Voyager as entirely different kinds of shows. After all, DS9 bucked franchise tradition by setting everything on a space station rather than a starship, effectively paving the way for longer-form, serialized storytelling. Voyager, by comparison, was more in the vein of The Original Series and The Next Generation, featuring a crew boldly going where no one had gone before. On Voyager, they were almost always going where no human had gone before because of the show’s premise. The crew is stranded on the other side of the galaxy in the Delta Quadrant, where it will take them decades to get back home.

While the shows are very different, Voyager had a surprising amount of influence on Deep Space Nine, a show that came out years earlier. Once Star Trek’s producers knew that Voyager would be exploring the Delta Quadrant each week, they realized that DS9 would have to explore more of what’s on the other side of the Bajoran wormhole: namely, the Gamma Quadrant. This led directly to the creation of the Dominion, which gave the show a newfound focus and some of its most beloved episodes. In this way, it’s fair to say that Voyager did more than influence its sister show; it also helped to accidentally save Deep Space Nine!

The Changing Face Of Evil

This story goes back to 1993, which is when the Deep Space Nine episode “Rules of Acquisition” made Star Trek history by first mentioning the Dominion, which would become the collective Big Bad of the entire series. On the DS9 Season 3 DVD special features, writer Robert Hewitt Wolfe revealed why the Dominion was created: “Voyager was going to be wandering through the Delta Quadrant from place to place, meeting new people every week, and we wanted to make the Gamma Quadrant distinctly different from that, by creating the Dominion, a sort of unifying anti-Federation in a way, just to give it a completely different character.”

Up to this point, the Gamma Quadrant hadn’t been explored in much detail, which is kind of shocking. In-universe, the thing that made Deep Space Nine so special is that it was stationed near the Bajoran wormhole. Most wormholes in Star Trek are unstable, meaning that you can’t safely travel through them without ending up in random places. This wormhole was stable, meaning that those in the Alpha Quadrant could easily visit the largely unexplored Gamma Quadrant (and vice versa). While we met some aliens from the Gamma Quadrant in Season 1, we didn’t really get an idea of who the movers and shakers in this area really were.

Crouching Comedy, Hidden Drama

“Rules of Acquisition” set out to fix this problem. It was a goofy Ferengi comedy episode played for laughs, one in which Grand Nagus Zek becomes obsessed with doing business in the Gamma Quadrant. Along the way, he and Quark learn about the existence of the Dominion, a mysterious but dominant force in that region of space. By creating the Dominion, the Deep Space Nine writers gave the show a kind of evil Federation as its biggest bad guy. This helped to differentiate DS9 from the upcoming spinoff Voyager, but the inclusion of these villains also supercharged the show, helping Deep Space Nine carve out its own unique identity in Star Trek history.

The introduction of the Dominion, an organization run by shapeshifters, paved the way to some of the show’s most exciting stories. For example, the writers had the shapeshifting Founders create a war between Klingons and the Federation, a story that gave the show a big ratings boost because it brought Worf back as a main character. Ongoing tension between Starfleet and the Dominion led to excellent standalone episodes, including “Call to Arms” and “In the Pale Moonlight.” The latter was part of the years-long Dominion War arc that effectively transformed this sci-fi series into a wartime show, boldly going where no Trek had gone before.

Some fans thought the war arc violated the very spirit of Star Trek. However, most agreed that this made for one of the most thrilling arcs in franchise history, one that helped DS9 maintain a relentless momentum that led to an absolutely jaw-dropping final episode. None of this would have been possible without the Dominion, who effectively saved the show. In turn, they would never have been introduced to Deep Space Nine without Voyager, a rival Trek show that forced producers to finally answer fans’ most burning question: what the hell is on the other side of that wormhole?

Dorit Kemsley Scoffs At Spending Habit Claims

Published

Dorit Kemsley at the 49th Annual People's Choice Awards 2024

Dorit Kemsley insists the reports about the state of her finances are untrue!

The reality star has pushed back against her estranged husband, Paul Kemsley‘s, claims that she is being reckless with her spending amid reports of mortgage debts and home foreclosure.

Dorit Kemsley and her estranged husband, Paul Kemsley, have been stuck in a bitter divorce battle since they separated in 2024, and he recently claimed she was trying to finesse him into paying for a vacation.

Speaking to news outlets while promoting her memoir “Unburdened: A Memoir,” the reality star stressed that the ongoing public narrative about her spending habits may not really reflect the full story. Dorit declared:

“I can tell you that what’s been put out there is not entirely accurate. However, now it’s going to be more headlines, because I have to come back with what the reality is.”

She equally expressed her frustration over the way things have been playing out to US Weekly in the interview, clarifying that she never wanted things to become this messy.

Dorit asserted that the amount she decides to spend is not relevant in any public discourse because it is her own earnings and is being used to support their children.

The reality star’s memoir was released on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and offered a closer look into her personal life, relationships, and life beyond what was captured on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

The Bravo Star Claimed She Was Largely Ignorant Of The Financial Aspect Of Their Failed Marriage

The TV personality continued that during their marriage, Paul was in charge of the financial decisions and household expenses, barely carrying her along, especially behind the scenes.

Dorit noted that after their marriage hit the rocks in 2024, she was hopeful they would have a discussion about how to handle their finances and responsibilities in the future, but the day never came.

The star added in her interview that the lack of communication between them created unnecessary tension, and these unconfirmed stories kind of shaped how the public perceived everyone involved.

Despite the dynamics between them, Dorit is still positive that they can put the conflict aside and move forward in peace. As for Paul, he has nothing to say other than to wish his estranged wife all the best with the release of her latest memoir.

Last month, The Blast shared that Paul accused his estranged wife of involving one of their kids in a scheme to get money from him for a spring break getaway.

Paul had alleged that text messages were sent through their child, asking him to contribute towards expenses tied to a vacation Dorit has planned to take with the kids.

Paul whipped out records of a conversation from April, which carried proof that Dorit had been spending lavishly on luxury items while failing to pay attention to their mortgage problems.

In one of the text messages, one of the children asked whether he wanted them to have fun on spring break, but Paul could deduce that the request appeared coached, and he informed the child.

As the conversation continued, Paul asked for clarification about the true motive behind the child’s request, to which they allegedly responded by saying their mother covers expenses and questioned why their father could not simply arrange a holiday.

Paul then asked how they became aware of who handles whom, educating the child that planning a trip was more complicated and would flop without adequate planning.

Inside The Author’s Alleged Approach To Home Foreclosure

The former couple’s upscale Californian property found itself at the center of their ongoing divorce proceedings. The expansive Encino home featuring six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and nearly 9,000 square feet of living space has reportedly become a source of brewing financial tension between Dorit and Paul.

While Paul is pushing for a sale on the property due to its backlog of $6 million in unpaid mortgages, Dorit is insisting she is in the dark about how much debt was being owed until it became public knowledge.

According to reports, the Encino home is now at risk of facing foreclosure concerns after missing multiple payment windows for several loans tied to the home.

Tanka LLC and Private Money Solutions were both reported to have filed notices of default in January 2026. The firms reportedly provided the former couple with $600,000 and $150,000 in February 2022, with no reported repayments since September 2025.

Meanwhile, another lender, Prime Recon LLC, allegedly made a second default notice in December 2025, alleging millions are still outstanding. According to court filings, there are more than $5 million in outstanding balances and more unpaid balances since April 2025.

Dorit Kemsley Turned Down Paul Kemsley’s Generous Accommodation Offer

As reported by The Blast, Paul came forward with an offer that Dorit and the kids use his home as a temporary abode as their Encino property continues to go through mortgage problems.

Paul has approached the court to approve an immediate sale of the property, revealing that disposing of it could still help them make some money off it instead of losing everything to outright foreclosure.

However, Dorit did not find Paul’s gesture noble as she made it clear that living with Paul is the least arrangement she desires. The estranged couple welcomed two children during the course of their marriage to each other.

The reality star’s reaction may now match Paul’s earlier claims that Dorit had left no room for a civil conversation between them regarding the property, and instead resorts to circulating false narratives about her in the media.

3 Best New Hulu and HBO Max Movies to Watch This Weekend (June 5-7)

Published

on

Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode in Stoker

Are you ready to get to work this summer?

Not literally, of course, unless you count watching great movies on Hulu and HBO Max work.

Watch With Us doesn’t, which is why we can’t wait to stream these three new films that were just added to the popular streamers.

Trust us, it’s worth canceling those weekend plans to watch the Anne Hathaway comedy The Intern, the gothic thriller Stoker and the Steven Spielberg sci-fi adventure Ready Player One.

Why? Well, keep reading to find out why watching Nicole Kidman terrorize her teenage daughter is better than going outside with your friends and family.

‘The Intern’ (2015) – Hulu

By all accounts, Ben Whitaker (Robert De Niro) should be happy. He just retired after a satisfying career, and he’s still healthy and curious at age 70. Instead, Ben is bored, really bored, and he longs for the communal spirit and easy camaraderie that only a workplace offers. That’s why he applies to be an intern at an e-commerce fashion company in Brooklyn. His direct supervisor, CEO Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway), isn’t so excited about overseeing someone old enough to be her grandfather. But as Ben acquits himself well at work, Jules realizes he has a lot to offer the company – and her.

Written and directed by rom-com veteran and fancy kitchen enthusiast Nancy Meyers, The Intern is a sweet-natured comedy that is better than you might think. The admittedly cutesy set-up could’ve been played for broad laughs or cheesy, sentimental melodrama, but Meyers instead opts for subtle observational humor that lets her well-developed characters shine through. De Niro dials down his Meet the Parents mugging and gives one of his best performances in years as a simple man who enjoys working, no matter what title he holds or position he’s in. Equally good is Hathaway as an overworked girlboss who is trying her best to balance her professional ambitions with her personal obligations.

The Intern is streaming on Hulu.

‘Stoker’ (2013) – HBO Max

Strange things happen to teenager India Stoker (Mia Wasikowska), especially after her beloved father, Richard (Dermot Mulroney), dies in a mysterious car accident. At his funeral, India is surprised to see Charlie (Matthew Goode), an uncle she never knew she had. Charlie immediately shows an unhealthy interest in her and her mother, Evelyn (Nicole Kidman), who isn’t as sad by her husband’s death as she should be. What does Richard want from them? And was Richard’s death really an accident?

Stoker is a hypnotic slice of American Gothic, written with gusto by Prison Break actor Wentworth Miller and stylishly directed by Korean auteur Park Chan-wook. It’s almost impossible to pin down what this movie is since it blends elements of horror, drama, thriller and romance so seamlessly. What I can safely say is that it’s always captivating, even when characters do odd things that don’t make much sense. As the not-so-bereaved widow, Kidman gives a stand-out performance, with a third-act monologue so searing and vicious, you might feel she’s directing her venom at you. Don’t take it personally.

Stoker is streaming on HBO Max.

‘Ready Player One’ – HBO Max

Steven Spielberg is about to release his latest sci-fi extravaganza, Disclosure Day, so now is a good time as any to watch one of his more underrated films in the genre, Ready Player One. In 2045, the bulk of humanity uses virtual reality to escape their dystopian present. When James Halliday (Mark Rylance), the inventor of the VR universe OASIS everyone plugs into, dies, he leaves behind one final gift: a scavenger hunt open to all, wherein the winner will inherit full control of OASIS. Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) thinks he can win, but he’ll have to overcome fierce competition and a rival VR company that wants full ownership of mankind’s digital world.

Adapted from the bestselling novel by Ernest Cline, Ready Player One is full of Easter eggs that will delight most boomers and millennials. From an adventure in The Shining’s Overlook Hotel to cameos from Donkey Kong, Godzilla and Batman, the film is a pop culture fever dream. It’s also an exciting sci-fi story, with a rousing underdog narrative that will make even the most cynical viewer crack a smile by the end.
