Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance sparked intense backlash both leading up to and following his performance. One of the harshest critiques came from former “Real Housewives of New York City” starJill Zarin. Now, she’s reportedly been fired from the upcoming E! show, “The Golden Life.”

It seems Zarin’s tenure with “The Golden Life” is ending before it began, as Variety reports she has been fired from the show. They received a statement from the production company behind the show, Blink49 Studios, confirming the news. The statement began, “In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’”

They added, “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”

Like many people all over the world, Zarin was tuned in for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star didn’t love what she saw on the stage, which also featured Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. She started in the clip, “So we all agree, I said it before, that it was the worst halftime show ever, and it’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.”

Zarin then said, “And quite frankly, I didn’t want to see him grabbing his G-area. I think it was totally inappropriate. You’ve got all these kids, young kids, watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds. Is he so insecure? Seriously.”

She added, “For me, it looked like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing. I think it was a political statement, and I’m not taking a side one way or another. I just do. I think it was an ICE thing. I just think the NFL sold out, and it’s very sad because this is 75 years, and you know, shame. Shame.”

The former “RHONY” star also accused Gaga of having had plastic surgery ahead of the performance, saying she didn’t recognize the singer. According to her, “And Lady Gaga got a facelift. I didn’t recognize her. I literally had to Google her face to see who it was. We all couldn’t agree who it was, so that was kind of fun in the middle of halftime. At least it gave me something to do because it was so hard to watch.”

Upon hearing the news of Zarin’s firing, fans of “The Real Housewives of New York City” took to social media to react. One person wrote on X, “Jill Zarin getting fired has been long overdue. She is a raging zionist and her behavior in the early seasons of RHONY was despicable, and the things she said were completely racist and Islamophobic. Ramona next, please.”

Someone else said, “Jill Zarin getting herself fired AGAIN is chef’s kiss….” A different X user wrote, “Jill Zarin finally got back on TV after so many years of begging, only to get fired a few days later for being a racist cunt! Lmao.” 

More users chimed in, with one saying, “Jill Zarin getting fired from that show before it even starts is so funny cause all she had to do was shut up, nobody even asked for her opinion.” Naturally, there was also support from the reality star, with at least one person saying firing her was the wrong move. They said, “Haven’t they learned from being woke with RHONY?  Jill’s opinions are widely held!!”

Andy Cohen, Zarin’s former Bravo boss, has weighed in on Zarin twice in recent weeks. First, according to Deadline, he reacted to the news of “The Golden Life.” He said, “I’m so excited for them. I texted the ladies yesterday. I think it’s gonna be a great show. I could never root against these women. I absolutely love them. I love them together. So does America. I’m gonna speak for America, and I think it’s gonna be great, and I can’t wait to watch, and I’m happy for them.”

Regarding the second time, he weighed in on what she said about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime performance. The Bravo bigwig said in a clip from SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy,” “And in terms of Jill, just… I don’t know. You know, call E!,” referring to the new show.

The star reportedly sold off the rights to her music catalog to a music publisher a few months back, joining a growing list of musical talents who have parted ways with their catalogs in recent years.

Britney Spears’ crucial business decision comes nearly five years after she was released from her 13-year-long conservatorship by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge.

Legal documents from the business deal revealed that the musician agreed to sell her ownership share of hits to the music publishing company, Primary Wave.

It remains undisclosed how much the legendary musician was paid in this deal, but sources from the inside have likened it to Justin Bieber’s payment from selling catalog.

As noted by TMZ, the documents from the transaction confirmed that Spears, currently managed by Cade Hudson, inked the deal on the 30th of December. She is reportedly very content and happy with the sale and has been celebrating with some mommy time with the kids.

Spears’ hit tracks like “Baby One More Time,” “Break The Ice,” “I Wanna Go,” “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Sometimes,” “Womanizer,” “Toxic,” and a host of others now belong to the Primary Wave company.

Spears broke into the limelight at the young age of 16 with” Baby One More Time,” produced by Max Martin in 1998. According to the producer, Spears’ young age inspired him to work with her because he felt he could channel her qualities appropriately and make her a superstar.

According to TIME, she grew up in Kentwood, Los Angeles, and had appeared on Broadway and on “Star Search,” which also featured stars like Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell, and Ryan Gosling. 

From her debut as a teenager in 1999, the star’s path has been filled with monster hits and several career controversies, which she bounced back from beautifully.

One of the highlights of her career was during her 2007 MTV Awards performance of “Gimme More,” where she sleepwalked and, from there, went on to deal with personal challenges, which were exacerbated by unending tabloids.

Spears had explained later that she was suffering from a panic attack, a broken heel, and extreme stress days leading up to that performance.

The star’s music has definitely served as a backdrop on which several pop stars of this century built their careers, like Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, Addison Rae, Kim Petras, and many more.

As shared by Yahoo!, in 2024, the rock band KISS sold their entire music catalog, brand name, and intellectual property, including their makeup and personas, to the Swedish company, Pophouse Entertainment, for approximately $300 million.

Justin Bieber was not the only artist who sold 100% of his music catalog in 2023; pop icon Katy Perry also made a similar move by selling her stake in her master and publishing rights in the same year for $225 million.

Perry’s five albums, which she released between 2008 and 2020, now have Litmus Music Company as their new home. As 2020 headed to a close, Universal Music closed off an iconic music deal by purchasing Bob Dylan’s entire catalog of over 600 songs for more than $300 million.

He then sold his recording catalog to Sony Music the following year for $200 million, bringing his total earnings in music sales to half a billion dollars. Bruce Springsteen also got $500 million richer from selling his master recordings and publishing rights to Sony in 2021. 

Spears drew the battle line with her family in 2021 when she testified against her father for being abusive while she was under his care during her conservatorship.

As shared by The Blast, the actress revealed that her father urged her to work against her wish, barred her from removing her IUD to have another child, and forced her to attend rehab and take lithium.

The singer’s mother and sister were not left out of her claims. Spears accused them of watching her go through this abuse with folded arms, with full knowledge that she was being controlled in the conservatorship.

The singer and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, even embarked on a full memoir war where the musician accused her sister of capitalizing on her misery in her memoir “The Woman In Me.”

During a recent live show, Epps, star of Netflix’s “The Upshaws,” might’ve taken things a bit too far when he made an NSFW comment about Minaj and different members of the Trump administration.

In an Instagram video, Mike Epps apologized not only to Nicki Minaj but also to her family.

Epps apologized to Minaj on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, noting that after reflecting on his earlier comments about the rapper, he realized he was in the wrong.

“Sometimes I get on that stage, and I have a little drink, and I go wild … I’m non-filtered. Just wanted to apologize,” he added.

For those who might’ve missed it, Epps ignited a firestorm when he threw shade at Minaj during a recent show.

In the now-viral clip, Epps called out Minaj’s new relationship with Trump and her affiliation with his MAGA movement, stating the “Super Bass” rapper had a “train ran on her by Donald Trump and them.”

Social media users weighed in on Epps’ jabs at Minaj, laughing along with the actor and throwing shade at Minaj in the process.

“Deserved,” one user wrote. “More celebrities should heckle her dumb*ss.”

Another user said that Minaj should think twice before clapping back at Epps after seeing his comments.

Other users, however, took issue with Epps’ words about Minaj, with one suggesting the comedian would never disrespect Minaj in person.

Another user attempted to encourage Minaj to sue Epps and any other celebrities who share vulgar and potentially inaccurate information about the rapper’s relationship with Trump.

A social media user slammed Epps on X, writing, “His career pretty much dead,” suggesting he turned to joking about Minaj for relevance. “Nicki Minaj is his life support. He still doing his stupid a– vice from Friday.”

Epps’ joke about Minaj follows the “Barbie Tingz” performer’s declaration that she is Trump’s “number one fan” during an event in Washington.

According to a previous report from The Blast, Minaj lauded the POTUS and said that the hate she’s received since announcing her support for him only makes her want to align herself with him more.

Minaj also came for the media and community members, saying, “And you know, the smear campaigns, it’s not going to work.”

Weeks earlier, Minaj stunned audiences when she showed up at a Turning Point USA meeting with Erika Kirk and declared her “utmost respect and admiration” for Trump.

“He has, I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact. He’s from Queens, New York, like me,” she said.

In an interview with Katie Miller, according to Fox News, Minaj also shared that part of her allegiance to Trump stems from the severe “bullying” he’s endured by the public.

“Religious freedom is something that’s very important to me,” she said. “But if I’m being honest, President Trump … because when I saw how he was being treated over and over and over, I just couldn’t handle it.”

Country superstar Blake Shelton recently called out Luke Bryan during one of his Las Vegas residency stops at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

In a viral TikTok making headlines, Shelton joked with a fan about Bryan—his longtime friend—and shared some choice words about the “Country Girl Shake It” singer, leaving the audience laughing.

Blake Shelton announced his return to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August 2025, exciting fans after teasing an eight-date residency featuring some of his biggest hits.

In a January 31 TikTok, Shelton stopped mid-show after noticing a fan wearing a Bryan t-shirt. In the video, Shelton joked with the concertgoer, giving them a hard time for attending his show wearing merch that featured another artist’s face.

“What’s the matter with you?” he asked. “That guy’s an idiot.”

As the show continued, Shelton delivered even more jokes about Bryan, highlighting one of the country legend’s most popular moves. “Luke Bryan. You’ve obviously been to one of his shows, right? You ever notice that he always does the, y’all sing along?” he asked.

“It’s because he’s too drunk to remember the words to his own songs,” Shelton continued. “Drunk and high. Put that on YouTube. Put it on your Instagram.”

Shelton’s jabs at Bryan are par for the course, according to TV Insider, which shared that “The Voice” alum made a similar comment about Bryan’s music during his “Back To The Honky Tonk Tour” in 2023. During the show, Shelton shared that because he was dealing with throat issues, he’d rely on the audience to sing most of the songs, taking another dig at Bryan along the way.

“I know what he’s talking about… ‘cause I’ve been to Luke Bryan concerts many of times and people are singing every damn word to his songs, but his songs are stupid,” he said. “So when the words go by, you’re not really thinkin’ about it is what I’m trying to say here, you’re just singing. You’re just like ‘oh yeah, we that rollercoaster.’”

Bryan didn’t just sit back while Shelton poked at him. While headlining a show at Resorts World in Las Vegas, Bryan performed a cover of Shelton’s song, “Home,” explaining to the audience why he had difficulty remembering the lyrics.

“Well, that’s a Michael Bublè song that Blake stole,” Bryan said. “I don’t know Blake’s sh-t—y’all sing it.” He added, “I don’t know two Blake Shelton songs… Oh, what’s a good Blake Shelton song? There isn’t one.”

Clearly, the ribbing at each other is all fun and games, something fans of both men seem to enjoy.

“Love you, Blake,” someone commented under the now viral TikTok.

“I was there! Concert was great, but [Blake’s comments about Luke] was the funniest part of the night,” another wrote.

“Facts. That happened last time I saw Luke Bryan. He couldn’t remember his words,” a third posted.

Before Shelton’s most recent comments, his relationship with Bryan surfaced in the headlines when the latter appeared on “The Ty Bentli Show” and spoke about the pair’s rival Nashville bars.

Bryan owns 32 Bridge, while Shelton owns Ole Read.

Jack Whitehall says that his mother is no longer welcome at award shows he’s hosting after she pulled a red-carpet stunt that left him embarrassed in public.

Like her son, Hilary Whitehall is an actor in her own right. She is best known for her recurring role in the early ‘90s comedy-drama “The Good Guys.”

Hillary has also featured in her son’s BBC series “Bad Education,” among other roles, which makes her no stranger to the limelight. Still, the younger Whitehall says he’s not too keen to keep sharing the red carpet with her.

Whitehall appeared on a recent episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” where he discussed his relationship with his mother.

During the conversation, posted on the talk show’s official YouTube channel, he explained that he had decided to “ban” his mother from attending his awards shows.

This followed a red carpet stunt she and his father pulled at the 2025 BRIT Awards, which he was hosting.

The pair famously showed up to the red carpet for the event dressed similarly to Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

“These photographs went viral,” Whitehall said of his parents’ red-carpet snapshots. “I said, ‘You’re banned from coming to the show again if you’re going to pull a stunt like that.’”

If his mom attending the Grammys dressed as Censori was not embarrassing enough for Whitehall, the British actor told Barrymore that she was already planning to ramp it up this year.

According to him, Hilary is threatening to wear the eye-catching outfit worn by Chappell Roan to the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The Mugler gown initially appeared as a deep-red cape draped over her, but when removed revealed a design that gave the illusion of very minimal covering.

“Yesterday, I woke up to a text from my mother,” Whitehall said. “It was a picture of the Chapell Roan dress, saying, ‘What date are the awards this year?’ I was like, ‘Absolutely not. Hilary, you are banned from coming to the show!”

Despite making jokes about his mother being “too supportive,” Whitehall acknowledged the role she has played in shaping his career.

He now also has first-hand experience of being a parent himself, following the birth of his daughter, Elsie, in September 2023.

In an October 2025 interview with The Times, Whitehall joked that his dad had painted a significantly different picture of what fatherhood entails.

“He very much led me to believe that the position of father was a ceremonial role like a provincial town mayor who would turn up for the grand opening, shake some hands, cut the cord, and then f-ck off until they need a car,” he said.

Another area that Whitehall discussed with Barrymore was his love of art, as well as a deep appreciation for his “Jungle Cruise” co-star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The British TV host recalled on “Drew Barrymore” how he had drawn caricatures of The Rock as a child, only for them to later reach Johnson himself.

“I stupidly told Emily Blunt that when I was a kid, I was obsessed with The Rock and that I’d found some old sketches that I’d done of him, and she showed him,” Whitehall explained.

Unfortunately, he said she omitted the fact that he had drawn them when he was younger.
