7 Horror Shows Where Every Episode Is a Masterpiece
Everyone can agree that horror television has a major filler problem. There are just too many shows that put all their effort into the first few episodes and start dragging the story as soon as the audience is hooked. That might just be the worst mistake writers ever made, because the minute a show falters in maintaining its sense of fear, the viewer has already checked out.
While horror films thrive on condensed and constant tension, horror TV has always had a harder time keeping that same energy alive across multiple episodes. Many argue that the genre just isn’t meant to be expanded. However, the titles on this list make a compelling case that it can be done. These are such horror shows where every episode is a masterpiece and no moment is ever wasted.
‘The Haunting of Hill House’ (2018)
The Haunting of Hill House is hands down one of the greatest horror shows ever made. The series, created by Mike Flanagan, will go down in history for proving that the genre can be so much more than jump scares and shock value. The story begins with the Crain family moving into the mysterious Hill House in the summer of 1992, and follows their story across two timelines. First up is their time in the house and the paranormal experiences they had there. Then, the timeline shifts forward and shows the Crain siblings as adults, slightly estranged from one another and still haunted by the fateful night their mother died, and their father made them flee from Hill House.
The narrative builds around that mystery, and it’s impossible not to get absolutely engrossed. The constant jumping between times is a bit disorienting at first, but it pays off in the end. By the time the timelines converge, the audience can practically feel the pain, trauma, and grief that this family has lived through. What makes every episode of The Haunting of Hill House feel great is that Flanagan never uses horror as a shortcut. Sure, the ghosts are there, but they serve as metaphors for the very real damage the Crain siblings are dealing with. All in all, this one is a horror show for the ages and will remain unmatched not just in its sense of fear, but also its emotional depth.
‘Midnight Mass’ (2021)
Midnight Mass is another Flanagan masterpiece, one that truly cemented him as one of the most unique voices in horror TV. The miniseries is an ambitious, slow-burning religious horror story that explores faith, addiction, and mortality through the supernatural. The story begins with Riley Flynn (Zach Gilford) returning to his small fishing community of Crockett Island after killing a woman in a drunk driving accident. His arrival coincides with that of the new priest, Father Paul Hill (Hamish Linklater), who soon begins to perform what the locals believe to be miracles. From there, every episode builds toward an emotionally devastating climax with no wasted moments or filler storylines.
Midnight Mass is genuinely remarkable in its writing. Although Flanagan gives many of his characters long, uninterrupted monologues, they land because the actors manage to embody every word they speak. The horror arrives gradually, but when it does, the audience is so invested in the people this story revolves around that it almost feels personal. The show ends with one of the most fitting finales in recent history and has managed to convey its message of the true cost of faith, which truly gives the audience chills.
‘Marianne’ (2019)
Marianne is dark and disturbing, but that’s the entire point. The French horror series tells a relentless story, and the fact that it was cancelled after one season is still baffling. The narrative begins as a classic supernatural story, with bestselling horror novelist Emma Larsimon (Victoire Du Bois) having decided to retire her fictional witch villain, Marianne, and move on with her life. However, that plan takes a backseat when she realizes that Marianne (Délia Espinat-Dief) might just be real, and she doesn’t want her to stop writing. Across the show’s eight episodes, the audience and Emma don’t get a single moment of comfort.
The story keeps escalating in a way that feels earned. Marianne is no ordinary demon. She humiliates her victims and uses their own history against them. The horror here is visceral and unpleasant, and what makes everything all the more horrific is how real it all feels, thanks to the show’s world and character building. Overall, Marianne delivers everything a horror show should and more, which makes its cancellation all the more frustrating.
‘Brand New Cherry Flavor’ (2021)
Brand New Cherry Flavor is an experimental horror show that feels like some kind of fever dream, in the best way possible. The story follows aspiring filmmaker Lisa Nova (Rosa Salazar), who comes to Los Angeles in the hopes of landing a promising project, only to be manipulated and exploited by a powerful producer. Instead of resigning to her fate, Lisa seeks revenge with the help of a mysterious witch, Boro (Catherine Keener).
However, Lisa doesn’t know that revenge comes at a cost, and as Boro carries out curses on her behalf, the consequences engulf almost everyone around her. That’s when Brand New Cherry Flavor turns into this surreal, body-horror nightmare that blurs the line between reality and imagination. The show really commits to its bizarre vision and completely owns the madness of the plot. Salazar delivers a delightfully unhinged performance with an emotional core that makes it impossible to look away until the very end.
‘Servant’ (2019–2023)
Servant is a deeply intimate kind of horror that stays with the audience long after the credits roll. The story follows grieving couple Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebbell) in the aftermath of the death of their infant. To cope with the loss, Dorothy begins caring for an eerily lifelike reborn doll, and her husband goes along with the whole thing to protect her fragile mental state. However, everything changes when the couple hires nanny Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) to care for the doll, and all of a sudden, the whole thing starts feeling a little too real.
That’s when the Turner house turns into a pressure cooker of paranoia, where every little detail means something. Leanne’s presence seems to warp reality, and as the audience learns about her ties to a shadowy religious cult, things slowly start to make sense. Every episode follows Sean and Dorothy getting pulled deeper into the chaos and reveals just enough without ever fully explaining the roles. Servant‘s horror is rooted in control and belief, where every answer only leads to a more unsettling question.
‘Archive 81’ (2022)
Archive 81, based on the podcast of the same name, opens with Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie) being hired by a mysterious company to restore a collection of damaged videotapes in an isolated research facility. The tapes were recorded in 1994 by Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi), a grad student documenting life inside the Visser, a strange apartment building that later burned down under suspicious circumstances. As Dan restores and watches the footage, Melody’s investigation into missing residents, secret gatherings, and a hidden cult turns into something far more dangerous.
Things take an even stranger turn when Dan realizes that he can somehow communicate with her across time. The deeper he goes, the more the mystery expands. The story unfolds through a found footage format, which makes the horror feel immediate and real. The way Dan and Melody’s stories mirror and influence each other is one of the most brilliant parts of the story. Even when the plot begins to reveal its answers, the show still retains its sense of unease because the real terror lies in the cyclical nature of everything that the characters experience. Overall, Archive 81 is a truly unique horror show that thrives on atmosphere and a slow-burning sense of dread rather than conventional scares.
‘Twin Peaks’ (1990–2017)
Twin Peaks has shaped modern TV like no other. The show begins as a murder mystery and increasingly gets stranger and more disorienting. The story follows FBI agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) as he arrives in the small town of Twin Peaks to investigate the strange death of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). Soon enough, though, he finds himself tangled in a web of dark secrets and coincidences that are too strange to ignore. The best part about Twin Peaks is that it treats the town as a living, breathing character filled with clues that guide Cooper toward what can only be explained as an entirely new reality.
The show is known for constantly shifting its tone between offbeat and almost comedic to surreal and psychological, without ever losing control. As the story expands, the mythology surrounding the Black Lodge and the forces influencing the town come into play, Laura’s death begins to look all the more complicated. Eventually, the case stops being about a single crime, and the show gradually starts recontextualizing everything the audience once thought they knew. Twin Peaks is a show like any other, to the point where one can only fully understand its brilliance by immersing themselves in it.

Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes Plan Move Abroad Amid Struggles
Former “GMA3” stars Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are reportedly considering moving abroad.
Sources claim the couple has been struggling to make a comeback since their careers were severely impacted by their affair scandal and are now looking to “reinvent” themselves.
This comes after T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach confirmed they have a wedding date, months after announcing their engagement.

The former news anchors are said to be finding it difficult to thrive and make a comeback in the US since their widely publicized firing from ABC.
This has reportedly made them consider moving to Europe in hopes of reinventing themselves while still working on their joint podcast.
“They’re thinking it’s time to reinvent themselves and see what’s out there — most likely in Europe,” a source told a media outlet. “They can still do their Amy & T.J. podcasts from there as well as explore other opportunities, like investing and writing.”
Robach herself had hinted about wanting to live abroad during an appearance on “Bill And Giuliana: The Podcast,” noting it’s on her and Holmes’ “bucket list.”
However, according to the source, Robach and Holmes have been struggling to find their footing, which is likely the reason why they want to relocate in hopes of starting afresh and leaving their workplace affair scandal behind.
It Has Been ‘Tough’ For The Former ‘GMA3’ Anchors Since Their ABC Axing

Speaking on the couple’s alleged plans to move to Europe, the source noted that things have been rough for Robach and Holmes since they were let go by ABC.
“Ever since they lost their ‘Good Morning America’ jobs, it’s been tough going,” the insider noted, per reports.
They continued, “A severe lack of popularity seems to be their biggest problem, so moving abroad and starting totally fresh checks a lot of boxes at this point.”
Things fell apart for the news anchors when their workplace romance was exposed, and it was revealed that they were still married to other people at the time.
After being fired by ABC from their “GMA3” roles in January 2023, Robach and Holmes put up a united front, opting to continue dating boldly and openly as they officially separated from their then-spouses, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig.
By October of 2025, the couple announced they had gotten engaged in September, with a wedding around the corner. However, none of this seems to have helped turn their image around.
“The constant trolling — both online and by a lot of their industry peers — has taken a heavy toll,” the source told the National Enquirer. “Socially, it’s pretty grim for them, and the cost of living is getting hard to sustain.”
Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Spilled On The Key To Their Happy Relationship

While things might not be looking too great for Robach and Holmes when it comes to their career, the couple’s relationship seems to be waxing stronger.
After announcing their engagement last October, the pair shared insight into their relationship and the reason behind their enduring love for each other despite being consistently scrutinized by the public.
During a chat with People Magazine about their romance, Holmes said, “Friendship, the foundation of friendship, period, point blank,” prompting Robach to say, “Without a doubt.”
Holmes continued, “If you got a friend you love and you respect … you end up in a relationship that’s still the foundation of friendship.”
Robach further explained that being able to “laugh” with one’s partner makes for an easier love life, adding that “you can get through almost anything if you can laugh together.”
When Is The Couple Getting Married?

Robach and Holmes revealed they have an official wedding date during their chat with Bill and Giuliana Rancic on their podcast.
Giuliana had asked the couple “if they knew when they were tying the knot,” and Holmes replied, “We do.”
However, his response seemed to slightly shock Robach as she asked him, “Are you OK with that date? I had a date that I really wanted. You’re just telling me now on the podcast that you’re OK with that date?”
“Being here with them made me more comfortable,” Holmes explained, referring to Bill and Giuliana.
Despite the candid revelation, Robach and Holmes did not give a particular date for the ceremony, but noted that they intend to get married in a very “special” way.
T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach’s Former Spouses Have Given Them Their ‘Blessing’ To Get Married

Holmes and Robach’s former spouses, Fiebig and Shue, who have been dating each other for over a year now, seem to have moved past the initial hurt of their affair.
According to a Us Weekly, a source revealed that Robach and Holmes seem to have “the blessing of their exes to get married.”
However, while Fiebig and Shue support their former spouses’ upcoming wedding, the source noted that they have no intention to attend despite getting invitations.

Denzel Washington Goes Full John Wick Across This Explosive 3-Part Crime Saga
Denzel Washington has never been a “franchise” guy, which is why this selection of movies is such a fascinating choice for him. By the time he ended up taking on this role, he was well past the point of an actor for hire. He was a genuine superstar with Oscar glory behind him, and with the kind of career that didn’t exactly seem like it needed him to play a vigilante who works as a Lyft driver or in a hardware store.
Across three Equalizer movies, Washington plays Robert McCall, a former government operative trying to live a quiet life while repeatedly finding himself pulled back into violence. The basic formula is, well, basic. McCall sees people being hurt, gives the bad guys a chance to walk away, and then when they don’t take it, he hurts them. But McCall doesn’t want to do any of this, and that might just be why it’s so effective. He’s a genuinely lovely man who’s haunted and lonely and driven by justice, but in a very specific way. The action scenes are satisfying because McCall is so lethal and deadly, but the hook comes from watching a guy who wishes people would be as decent as him to save him the bother.
Who Stars in ‘The Equalizer’ Trilogy?
The Equalizer trilogy stars the iconic Washington (Training Day) as Robert McCall, the titular Equalizer; Marton Csokas (Kingdom of Heaven) as Teddy Rensen, a pimp; Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) as Alina, a young sex worker McCall tries to help; David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Masters, a corrupt CIA operative; Melissa Leo (Prisoners) as Susan Plummer, McCall’s closest friend; Bill Pullman (Independence Day) as Brian Plummer, Susan’s husband; Pedro Pascal (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) as Dave York, McCall’s former partner; Ashton Sanders (Moonlight) as Miles Whittaker, a young artist; Dakota Fanning (War of the Worlds) as Emma Collins, a CIA analyst; David Denman (Brightburn) as Frank Conroy, Emma’s colleague; Sonia Ammar (Scream) as Chiara Bonucci, a local woman in Italy; and Gaia Scodellaro (Promises) as Aminah, a café owner.
All three films were directed by Antoine Fuqua, and in the wake of the third Equalizer film, which looked set to send McCall into retirement, word is that we’ll be getting two more outings, and nobody will argue with that.
The Equalizer trilogy is streaming now.

Peacock’s Forgotten 13-Episode Spy Show Is Still a Near-Perfect Weekend Binge 6 Years Later
Whether or not he enjoys it, David Schwimmer‘s career was always going to be defined by his iconic role as Ross “Pivot!” Gellar in Friends. After all, him and his five co-stars made history in one of the most watched and beloved sitcoms of all-time. But while that will always be true, Schwimmer has gone on to have an expansive career, including credits in directing, voice-acting, and his scene-stealing moments in TV shows like American Crime Story and Will & Grace.
Among his lesser-seen titles is a 2020 British series that never got the attention or love it deserved. Alongside Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed, Schwimmer created another iconic character in Intelligence, a hidden gem series that ran for two seasons and a one-episode special.
David Schimmer Steals the Show in ‘Intelligence’
Longtime fans of Friends or Schwimmer’s work will perhaps be unsurprised to hear that Schwimmer absolutely commands the screen in Intelligence. The series, created and written by Mohammed himself, follows Schwimmer as Jerry Bernstein, a pompous NSA agent who joins a cyber-crimes unit at the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). From the get-go, Schwimmer’s Jerry is clearly different to Ross. While both characters are known for their intelligence and expertise in their fields, Ross had a goofiness and softness to him that made him endearing to audiences. Jerry, on the other hand, comes off as arrogant, harsh, and quite problematic, at least in the beginning.
Through his hard shell, however, Jerry still manages to be quite funny. “Chief among [the cast] is Schwimmer’s beautifully unhinged, physically invigorating, and surprisingly vulnerable leading performance,” wrote Gregory Lawrence in his review for Collider after Intelligence‘s release. “His Jerry is unhinged in the best way possible. In these six episodes, Schwimmer reveals himself to be a brusque, tight, and utterly professional physical comedian; there are pratfalls, triple takes, slides across surfaces, all delivered with panache and intention.”
Schwimmer Aside, ‘Intelligence’ Is an Impressive Ensemble Comedy
But while Schwimmer certainly shines on the show, Intelligence works because it’s an ensemble comedy with a cast that compliments his energy. Mohammed, best known for his role as the shy yet secretly cunning Nate in Ted Lasso, continues his streak as the timid but never-to-be-underestimated Joseph Harries, a people-pleasing and socially awkward computer analyst. Alongside Jerry, they become an unlikely duo, and the perfect counterpart for one another onscreen. Together, their chemistry carries the show and delivers hilarious moments time and time again.
The 40 Most Iconic Female Duos on Television, Ranked
You can’t do anything without your best friend!
The cast is then completed by the rest of the GCHQ team, led by Christine Clark (Sylvestra Le Touzel), a veteran intelligence officer, master hacker Tuva Olson (Gana Bayarsaikhan), and squirrelly cryptoanalyst Mary Needham (Jane Stanness). “Le Touzel plays the ‘frustrated voice of reason’ with perfection, and I love when the show lets her have a twinkle in her eye herself,” Lawrence described in his review. “Stanness’ character could be one-note in another actor’s hands, but she gives her an intriguing amount of depth underneath the surface. For my money, Bayarsaikhan might be the breakout performer of the show. Her Tuva is enigmatic, strong, sharpened to a diamond force, punching us in the gut with her no-nonsense attitude.”
With all that said, while Intelligence has flown under the radar for most audiences since its release in 2020, the series unexpectedly meshes a workplace comedy with a spy series, leading to a fresh new take on both genres. With Schwimmer front and center and Mohammed shining once again as the sidekick, Intelligence has continued to establish itself as one of Peacock’s most must-see comedies.

Gunman Killed After Shooting Outside White House
Things took a chaotic turn near the White House Saturday evening when Nasire Best became the center of a security scare. Unfortunately, things ended in gunfire, lockdowns, and a stunned press corps watching it all unfold in real time. What started as unusual pacing outside one of the country’s most heavily guarded areas quickly escalated into rapid federal response.

Gunfire Erupts Outside White House Security Checkpoint
According to sources, 21-year-old Nasire Best was seen acting erratically along 17th Street NW before allegedly pulling a gun and firing toward a security checkpoint around 6:10 p.m. The exchange was brief but intense, with federal officers returning fire almost immediately. Authorities say gunfire struck and killed Best on the scene and injured at least one bystander during the exchange.
The Secret Service moved quickly to lock down the White House complex, ordering reporters and staff into secure areas as the situation developed. The FBI later confirmed it was assisting on the scene as investigators worked to piece together what led up to the incident. Witnesses in the press heard rapid gunfire and took shelter inside as security protocols activated.
Officials React As Investigation Into Best Continues
Officials and lawmakers later weighed in, with both sides of the aisle condemning political violence while praising law enforcement’s response. Early reports also noted Best had prior encounters with authorities and had been under a court order restricting access to White House areas. President Trump and others issued statements thanking federal agents for their quick action as investigators continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting. FBI Director Kash Patel took to X saying, “FBI is on the scene and supporting Secret Service responding to shots fired near White House grounds – we will update the public as we’re able“

Best’s Prior Encounters And Mental Health Under Review
Authorities are uncovering additional background details as investigators review Nasire Best’s past encounters with law enforcement. He previously claimed he was “Jesus Christ” and said he wanted to be arrested, according to reports.
Officials noted that he had been involuntarily committed earlier this year and had multiple prior incidents involving restricted White House perimeter access. Authorities are also questioning how he managed to return to the area despite a standing order to stay away. Investigators are reviewing whether his mental health history and prior violations contributed to Saturday’s escalation. Meanwhile, the motive remains unconfirmed.

Meghan McCain Announces Brother Doug McCain’s ‘Sudden’ Death
Meghan McCain has announced that her older brother Douglas “Doug” McCain has died. He was 66.
“I am deeply saddened to share the news of my brother Doug McCain’s sudden passing,” Meghan, 41, wrote via X on Sunday, May 24. “He was truly a wonderful, joyful man who supported me throughout my life. He brought humor, fun and great conversation to every room. I will cherish our memories together.”
The former The View cohost added, “Our prayers are with his wife Ashley and children Caroline and Shepp.”
No official cause of death has been publicly revealed at the time of publication.
Meghan shared the same statement on Instagram, alongside a photo of her late brother and her late father, former Senator John McCain, as well as two solo pictures of her sibling. (John, who ran for president in 2008 against Barack Obama, died in 2018 at the age of 81 after a battle with cancer.)
Doug was the eldest son of John’s first wife, Carol McCain, from a previous marriage. The late senator went on to adopt Doug and his brother, Andrew, after he married Carole in 1965. They later welcomed a third child, daughter Sidney, one year before John’s plane was shot down in Vietnam and he spent nearly six years away from his family as a prisoner of war.
When he was rescued and returned to the U.S, he entered the political world, which his son Andy recalled ultimately put a strain on his first marriage.
“As dad progressed, he was gone a lot, doing a lot of international travel, and it was putting a little stress on the marriage,” he said in the 2018 HBO documentary John McCain: For Whom the Bell Tolls.
It was at this time, in 1979, that he ultimately met his second wife, Cindy McCain — 18 years his junior — in Hawaii.
“Cindy was very young too, and you can’t help who you fall in love with,” Sidney said in the same HBO documentary. “I truly believe that my dad is very much in love with Cindy, and I think she is very much in love with him, and I think there is something very beautiful about that. At the time it was really awful.”
After John and Cindy wed, they welcomed four additional children to their blended family: Meghan, John “Jack” McCain, James McCain and Bridget McCain.
Doug opened up about his relationship with his younger siblings in the HBO doc.
“It was just different, it took some time getting used to,” he recalled at the time. “I have a good relationship with Cindy, as do my brother and sister. And I have a good relationship with Meghan, Jack, Jimmy and Bridget. We’re not extraordinarily close, but if I ever need something, I know how to reach them.”

Obsession Needed Only Two Weeks To Make Movie History
By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

Memorial Day weekend is a showdown between the two sides of modern Hollywood. On one side, we have Disney’s big-budget Star Wars blockbuster The Mandalorian and Grogu, and on the other, the latest micro-budget horror from Blumhouse: Obsession. The two films can’t be any more different, and while Star Wars’ return to the big screen is expected to earn over $400 million at the box office, it’s Obsession that’s going to enter the history books. Not only because of its total box office, it’s going to end up over a $100 million, but it’s how it’s earned the money. It’s the first film since Shrek to earn more its second weekend than its first, without the benefit of Christmas or Thanksgiving weekends. That’s one for the history books.
Obsession Defies Decades Of History

A second weekend drop of under 50 percent is considered a success in Hollywood. On average, movies tend to be frontloaded these days, and we’ll never again have a film like Titanic, which earned more on Valentine’s Day three months after release than it did on opening night. It was catastrophic that both Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania fell by 67 percent in their second weekends, but a franchise-saving success when Bumblebee dropped only 3 percent. Obsession has, percentage-wise, done better than all of those films, and thousands of others.
Obsession is, as of the time of this writing, on pace for a second weekend performance of $19 million. 16 percent above its original haul of $17 million. With outstanding word of mouth, rave reviews, and countless social media reactions, sketch comedian Curry Barker’s (no relation to that other Barker) horror debut shows no signs of slowing down. If the third weekend breaks $19 million, Obsession will become one of the most successful films in modern history.
The Next Big Name In Horror

With a total budget of under a million dollars, Obsession cost less than the catering budget for The Mandalorian and Grogu. The tight story, with a total runtime of barely over 100 minutes, has been able to capture the audience’s imagination in a way few horror films have before, already earning the film comparisons to The Ring, The Blair Witch Project, and Paranormal Activity. The One Wish Willow that allows Bear (Michael Johnston) to wish for his crush, Nikki (Inde Navarrette) to love him more than anyone is already being talked about as the subject of a second film, or an anthology, with multiple One Wish Willow’s going very, very badly for the wisher.
Low-budget horror has become a staple of cinema over the last few decades in particular, and Curry Barker is set to follow up his current hit next year with Anything but Ghosts starring Aaron Paul and Bryce Dallas Howard (with an estimated budget of $5 million) and in 2027, a new take on an old classic: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It’ll be a tough bar to clear the success of Obsession, which might break even more records before its run comes to an end, but given the reaction to his small-scale Monkey’s Paw story, Barker is going to become one of the hottest directors in Hollywood.

Griffin, known for his sitcom “Malcolm & Eddie,” spoke about Drake’s May 15 album on the most recent episode of his YouTube show. As he was speaking about it, Griffin made it clear that he wasn’t a fan of the “One Dance” rapper, calling him too “sensitive.”
In the video, which now has over 114,000 views, Griffin told his listeners that he hadn’t planned on listening to Drake’s latest body of work, saying he “refuses to buy garbage.” During his rant, he also seemed to take issue with some of Drake’s songs, particularly one where he takes a clear shot at Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
“… the ice-melting man is said to have a song clowning LeBron James because he took a picture on the sidelines with Kendrick Lamar after taking a picture with Drake,” Griffin said. “He took a picture with your enemy? I didn’t know y’all were dating.”
Griffin didn’t stop there, though. He went even further, saying Drake “sounds like a b-tch to me.” He added, “It’s over. Just take your owl a** and travel in the dark quietly because owls, they move quietly.”
Drake Calls Out LeBron James In ‘1 Am In Albany’

According to a previous report from The Blast, Drake stirred up a bit of chaos on the night of May 14, 2026, when songs from his trio of albums were leaked online. In one song, “1 AM in Albany,” Drake makes it clear that he’s no longer in a good place with his former friend, James.
“I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up,” Drake raps over the beat. “Please stop asking what’s going on with 23 & me, I’m a real n****, and he’s not, it’s in my DNA.”
Drake’s lyrics about the Cleveland Cavaliers alum come over a year after James was spotted singing along to Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track about the “God’s Plan” rapper, “Not Like Us.”
Drake And James Had A Close Relationship With One Another

Prior to their falling out, Drake and James had a well-documented friendship. Not only did the “Hotline Bling” rapper have a portrait of James tattooed on his body, but he also revealed in 2011 that he used to text James before every game.
“I always let him know that it’s his night,” Drake said, according to The Blast. “Let’s get it, let’s go out there with a clear mind and forget all the other stuff going on and just stay focused on the task. That ring. Tonight, I told him it was his night. And it was his night tonight.”
In 2025, James opened up about his strained relationship with Drake in an interview with Speedy Morman, admitting that things between them had soured.
“Always wish him the best. Obviously, um, different places right now, currently. He’s doing his thing, I’m doing mine. But it’s always love, for sure,” the father of three said.
Drizzy Was Saddened By James’ Behavior

Prior to speaking about his issues with James on his album, Drake made it clear that he had issues with those who’d wronged him, releasing a statement during a 2024 speech showing love to his “real friends” who had stood by him.
Continuing, Drake said that he’s had to find the strength to move forward after being hurt by those close to him.
“They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back. They might do a lot of things to you. You’ll come to that realization, wherever you’re at in life. You’ve probably been there and you’ll be there again. That’s how life is. Sometimes it’s you and you alone by yourself,” he said.
The Rapper Stars In A New Commercial With Another NBA Champion
Although Drake’s relationship with James has deteriorated, that hasn’t stopped other NBA icons from teaming up with the “Hold On, We’re Going Home” rapper.
Recently, Drake starred in a new Nike commercial alongside NBA champion Kevin Durant to promote his new sneaker, the KD19.
“Normalize glazing the bros @easymoneysniper 19th sneaker available on nike.com and SNKRs 6.17,” the two stars captioned the Instagram post.
