9 Greatest Animated Shows With Fewer Than 40 Episodes
When it comes to finding new cartoons to watch, sometimes you want something short that you can get through in a reasonable time. Other times, you may be looking for something brief that will entertain your kids. Wherever you find yourself in your search for animated media, there are plenty of great shows out there that stunned viewers in under 40 episodes — from classic cartoons to modern 3D animation.
We’ve already put together a list of the greatest animated shows under 50 episodes, but we wanted to narrow our focus even more to the 40-episode range. Whether you prefer older material or enjoy new cartoons, there’s something here for everybody. While shows like Gravity Falls, ThunderCats, and the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! all fall above that 40-episode threshold, there are still plenty of solid animated series out there worth diving into. Here are some of the best.
‘Justice League Unlimited’ (2004–2006)
When it comes to superhero animation, there are few shows that surpass Justice League Unlimited. A continuation of the original Justice League animated series, this sequel follows the newly expanded League as they battle new threats both foreign and domestic. Batman (Kevin Conroy), Superman (George Newbern), Wonder Woman (Susan Eisenberg), and Green Lantern (Phil LaMarr) help lead these costumed heroes in a series of standalone epics and serialized plots that lead to some epic showdowns.
As one of DC’s greatest animated masterpieces, JLU is everything a fan could want from superhero animation. Not only does the series build on the foundation of previous DC Animated Universe installments, but it offers character studies on some of the more obscure and underappreciated figures in comic book lore. Justice League Unlimited is the gold-standard for how to tell a team-based superhero story, and it continues to delight all these years later.
‘Invader Zim’ (2001–2006)
Created for Nickelodeon by cartoonist Jhonen Vasquez, Invader Zim is probably one of the most beloved cartoons of its era. Although the series only ran for 27 episodes (plus the original pilot), Zim (Richard Steven Horvitz) is committed only to the goal of universal domination — though he’s consistently his worst enemy in achieving it. Along with GIR (Rosearik Rikki Simons), Zim does all he can to rule the Earth, but humorously fails at every chance.
The series was a fun mixture of sci-fi, horror, and comedy that leaned more into slapstick humor than anything else. Still, Invader Zim garnered a faithful audience over the years, and even long after its cancellation, folks returned to the underappreciated cartoon cult classic for more. Eventually, Zim returned in the feature film Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus.
‘Jonny Quest’ (1964–1965)
Yes, that’s right. The original Jonny Quest, regardless of how popular it has become, only ran for 26 short episodes. Also known as The Adventures of Jonny Quest, the program followed the young hero (Tim Matheson), his father Dr. Benton Quest (John Stephenson, Don Messick), his adoptive brother Hadji Singh (Danny Bravo), special agent “Race” Bannon (Mike Road), and their faithful dog Bandit as they found themselves investigating strange occurrences around the world. These were the type of adventures every young boy wanted.
While certainly not the only classic cartoon of its era to gain infamy despite a small number of episodes (Space Ghost was another), Jonny Quest is one of the most important of its day. Reruns ultimately made it popular with viewers from different generations, and the series was revived years later with The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (which ran a bit longer). To this day, Jonny Quest is one of the few classic animated characters without his own animated movie.
‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’ (2008–2009)
Some may be rolling their eyes seeing The Spectacular Spider-Man on this list, but the truth is that this is probably the best Spider-Man cartoon ever made. Josh Keaton voices teenage Peter Parker as he moonlights as Marvel’s greatest Wall-Crawler, protecting New York City (and his friends and family) from the likes of maniacal villains who keep popping up around town. Not only does Spectacular focus on Spidey’s costumed adventures, but it does great work establishing Peter’s personal life as well.
As far as superhero cartoons go, Spectacular Spider-Man is among the most grounded. It takes its time to unveil certain aspects of Peter’s life and Spidey mythology, while also faithfully re-imagining certain aspects of the original comics for younger audiences. That said, the show never talks down to the viewer, and offers a mature tone while still maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere. For the most notable installments, here are the best Spectacular Spider-Man episodes to start with.
‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ (2011–2013)
Another superhero animated series starring Josh Keaton in the titular role, Green Lantern: The Animated Series is an excellent take on the Green Lantern mythos that likewise repurposes the best aspects of the comic books into a format perfect for all ages. When Green Lanterns Hal Jordan (Josh Keaton) and Kilowog (Kevin Michael Richardson) steal the Interceptor spaceship to respond to a distress call in “Frontier Space,” they encounter the villainous Red Lantern Corps, whose sole desire is to destroy the Green Lanterns.
GL:TAS not only establishes why Hal is often considered the greatest Green Lantern, but it also introduces new additions to the mythos in the form of the redeemable Red Lantern Razer (Jason Spisak) and the A.I. known as Aya (Grey DeLisle). Some have counted Green Lantern among the best superhero cartoons ever made, and we can’t argue with that. It’s one of the few that got better with each episode.
‘Star Wars: Clone Wars’ (2003–2005)
No, we’re not talking about Star Wars: The Clone Wars here, but rather the original animated epic by Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky simply titled Star Wars: Clone Wars. The animated microseries was released in segments between the theatrical runs of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, chronicling the battle between the Jedi Knights and their clone army and the Separatists’ battle droids. As far as Star Wars is concerned, this installment is nearly perfect.
Between the stunning animation and excellent character work done with Anakin Skywalker (Mat Lucas) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor) in particular, Clone Wars was every Star Wars fan’s dream back when it first aired on Cartoon Network. It was the best piece of marketing that Lucasfilm ever released regarding the prequel trilogy, and certainly holds up all these years later. The Clone Wars is great, there’s no doubt about it, but Clone Wars was truly something special.
‘Freakazoid!’ (1995–1997)
When it comes to action-adventure sci-fi comedy programs in the mid-’90s, Freakazoid! certainly wasn’t the only game in town. The Tick and Earthworm Jim were other popular superhero satires that gained notoriety at the time. However, it was Freakazoid! that has gone down in infamy as one of the best of its kind, invented by Batman: The Animated Series scribes Bruce Timm and Paul Dini (and produced by none other than Steven Spielberg). The catchy theme song was no doubt a help.
Freakazoid! was originally meant to be a superhero show with comedic undertones, but it quickly morphed into a bonkers animated series that rarely let up. It’s the type of cartoon that has no problem with meta humor or self-referential gags. Freakazoid (Paul Rugg) himself is always living up to the name, making the life of his alter-ego Dexter Douglas (David Kaufman) a bit more hectic than the teenage computer wiz ever anticipated. But he always did it for our amusement, and amused we were.
‘The New Scooby-Doo Movies’ (1972–1973)
We weren’t able to include the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! on this list due to its slightly high episode count, but there was no way the Mystery Inc. gang wasn’t going to make it on this list in some fashion. The second series in a long run of Scooby-Doo cartoons, The New Scooby-Doo Movies were extended 40-minute mysteries that paired up Scooby (Don Messick) and the gang — including Shaggy (Casey Kasem), Fred (Frank Welker), Daphne (Heather North), and Velma (Nicole Jaffe) — with every popular celebrities, fictional or otherwise, every week.
The New Scooby-Doo Movies were a blast. Want to watch the Mystery Inc. gang team up with Batman and Robin? No problem! The Harlem Globetrotters? Sure! The Three Stooges? Absolutely! The sky was literally the limit when it came to who this Scooby-Doo series would bring on — even Dick Van Dyke made an appearance. Though it only ran for 24 episodes, The New Scooby-Doo Movies is one of those cartoons that you can’t believe happened, but you’re better off having seen. For its modern equivalent, check out Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? for more!
‘X-Men ’97’ (2024–Present)
Okay, this one may be a bit of a cheat… X-Men ’97 is not only still running (having been renewed already), but it’s technically a continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series. As such, the show relies heavily on pre-established Marvel Animated Universe lore and mythology that comes back into play here on this program. That said, newcomers can still enjoy this animated epic that follows the battle between mutants who wish to coexist with the world and those who wish to subject mankind to their whims.
What’s great about X-Men ’97 is that it expertly captures the tone and feel of the original show while still making itself accessible to new fans. Unlike most X-Men media, it doesn’t so narrowly focus on Wolverine (Cal Dodd) that it looses sight of its best cast members. In fact, Cyclops (Ray Chase) finally gets his due as the leader of the X-Men. With two seasons under its belt thus far, X-Men ’97 continues to remind us that one can both honor the source material and tell original stories simultaneously if one has the care to do so.

Deiondra Sanders Airs Out Jacquees And His Mama On Social Media
Sanders shared the messages on her Instagram Stories on Sunday evening and claimed that Jacquees’ mother, Rosie Thompson, hadn’t let her speak to her son.
Sanders and the rapper have shared their co-parenting issues with fans in the past, and not only did the 34-year-old claim Thompson kept her from speaking to Snow, but she also said that Rosie and her son only respond when Jacquees’ public image is affected.
“I miss my baby,” she wrote. “Hopefully I can talk to him soon or hear back from someone. @19goldenrose. jacquees please call me soon as you get with him tomorrow. I don’t like doing this but this the only way yall respond when it effects y’all’s image.”
Furthermore, Sanders returned to her Story to add that she needed to speak to her 2-year-old child daily and know who he’s with and where he’s at.
“Y’all can say what y’all want about me, but I’m a MOM,” she continued. “If you’re not spending time with our child on your time, keep him home with me. I need to know where my child is, who he’s with if he isn’t with you the whole time, and speak to him every day. We’re very attached, especially after what happened last time.”
Fans Share Support To Sanders
After the posts were shared on TSR’s Instagram page, Roomies weighed in with support for the single mother. However, other folks claimed that she should leave Jacquees alone during his time with the toddler.
User @novemberzown13 wrote, “I wouldn’t care who’s he with. If I take care of my child everyday then that means I’m use to seeing and talking to them everyday. Let me talk to my damn child. I don’t see how y’all don’t understand that.”
@fantastic4eva added, “Agree! If she asked to speak to him it’s nothing wrong with them responding to her and saying okay I’m going to have him call you that’s it. The adults need to stop. He can’t call himself. All she wants to do is say hello. And I pray when she’s with him if he calls she puts snow on the phone.”
User @cakesbynayyy emphasized Snow’s age. “right plus he’s young so I’d need some type of communication.”
@notnicenails added, “I mean it’s not hard to answer the phone and let him talk real quick butttttt girl he’s with his dad enjoy your free time.”
@simplyandreab replied, “Come on y’all!!! Co-Parenting shouldn’t come to this??? For either parent not to be able to communicate with their child is just NOT right!! Back to court we gonna go…….. stop this! Snow deserves better!!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.”
User @brittany.diangelis wrote, “Naw I’m with her I freak out when I can’t reach my kid or have any updates on him ion care who he with.”
@lovee_softly added, “That’s her first and only one right now so I feel her I be missing my baby too but I do enjoy my free time It will get better one day for you just stick with Jesus sug ❤️.”
Jacquees Previously Shared Cryptic Post About Fathers Being Kept From Sons
Jacquees shared a cryptic post about keeping fathers from their sons back in December 2025, and Sanders clapped back with a strong denial about their co-parenting.
“Women should go to jail for keeping father’s away from their kids,” he wrote at the time.
Sanders denied the accusation and shared photographs and video showing Snow spending time with Jacquees.
“Y’all gone stop playing with me,” she wrote in the post. “One thing I’m not is bitter. I’m not keeping anyone from they son. I’m not speaking on this anymore.”
In May 2026, Sanders shared another message on Instagram Stories about co-parenting and claimed she “never” stopped Jacquees from seeing Snow.
“Let’s make this clear,” she wrote. “I never stopped Snow daddy from seeing him, nor being a father, despite the lies he and his family told y’all. Please leave me out every time yall post him.”
Jacquees clapped back and called Sanders a liar.
“… She’s lying,” he wrote. “this is terrible smh can somebody please help her? I’m tired.”
Sanders responded by claiming that the two had just spoken on FaceTime.
“🤣🤣🤣🤣 don’t start we just got off FaceTime, cool,” she wrote. “Don’t let us pull the receipts so please stop. I’m a damn good momma and def not bitter. YOU KNOW THAT and you been seeing your child without me. Yall be mad because I speak on things yall bring up. People be mad because I respond. YALL. Leave me alone, PLEASE lol”

Caresha Addresses Backlash Over Including Kids In Performance
Within an hour of The Shade Room reposting the footage of Summer Miami and Rylo on Sunday (September 6), Yung Miami was in the comment section. Up until that point, the roommates had shared mixed takes on the kids being part of ‘Spend Dat,’ given it’s raunchy lyrics. Some argued that millennial kids listened to much more explicit tunes. Others called YM out for allowing her kids to listen to her music. Ultimately, she stepped in showing 0 regrets about the core memory Summer Miami and Rylo got out of vibing to ‘Spend Dat’ with her.
“I use to do the cry baby and splits in dance contests when I was a lil girl oh yeah and the doodoo brown! Yall go cook,” Yung Miami wrote in TSR’s comment section.
Social Media Weighs In On Miami’s Clapback
Also on Sunday on Instagram, TSR shared Yung Miami’s comment section clap back. That comment section quickly filled with differing opinions. Some agreed with the rapper’s take of knowing much worse songs as a child. Others stood their ground on creating boundaries with music and kids.

Gary Oldman Claims the Next James Bond Has Already Been Chosen
The search for the next James Bond may be further along than fans realize.
Gary Oldman has raised eyebrows after claiming that the actor who will succeed Daniel Craig as 007 has already been selected, despite Amazon MGM Studios making no official casting announcement.
While promoting the latest season of Slow Horses on Canada’s The Morning Show, Oldman was asked about his co-star Jack Lowden, whose name has continued to surface in conversations surrounding the coveted role.
“It’s been rumored that he is on the shortlist. We’re going to find out pretty soon, aren’t we? Because they have picked him. They have made their choice, but they have not announced it yet. So my fingers are crossed for Jack,” Oldman said.
Oldman’s wording immediately sparked speculation that he may have knowledge that a decision has already been made behind the scenes. However, his comment about keeping his fingers crossed for Lowden also leaves open the possibility that Oldman does not actually know the identity of the actor selected.
For now, Amazon MGM has not confirmed that a new Bond has been cast, and Oldman did not explain how he came by the information.
Lowden has become one of several actors linked to the role. The Scottish actor currently stars alongside Oldman as MI5 agent River Cartwright in Apple TV’s Slow Horses. His film credits also include Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, Benediction and Mary Queen of Scots.
The next installment will mark the beginning of a new era for the long-running franchise. Denis Villeneuve, the filmmaker behind Dune and Dune: Part Two, is set to direct, while Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is writing the screenplay. Amy Pascal and David Heyman are producing the film for Amazon MGM Studios.
Craig concluded his 15-year run as James Bond with 2021’s No Time to Die. Since then, speculation over his successor has become one of Hollywood’s biggest ongoing casting conversations.
Whether Oldman knows something the rest of us don’t remains unclear. But if his claim that the decision has already been made is accurate, an official announcement revealing the next 007 could finally be getting closer.

Tom Holland And Zendaya’s Exhaustion Derails Japan Trip
Tom Holland and Zendaya may have conquered the box office this summer, but their blockbuster run apparently came with a price.
After months spent traveling around the world promoting two of 2026’s biggest movies, the newlyweds were apparently so exhausted that even a luxury vacation wasn’t tempting enough to get them back on a plane.
Instead, Tom handed the lavish Japanese getaway to his parents, giving them an unexpected taste of the A-list treatment that had originally been reserved for Hollywood’s hottest couple.

Tom’s father, Dominic Holland, revealed the surprising switch while speaking at the Queen’s Park Book Festival in London.
According to Dominic, his son had been working “unbelievably hard” while promoting “The Odyssey” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” alongside Zendaya.
“He and Zendaya have done probably twice around the globe to promote these films,” Dominic said per the Daily Mail, explaining that the couple had endured what he estimated were around 20 10-hour flights.
Only days after the London premiere, Tom told his father that he and Zendaya had a trip to Japan planned.
However, there was a problem. “Dad it’s too far and I’m too tired,” Tom said, according to his father’s account. “What I thought I’d do dad is that I’d send you and mum instead.”
Dominic and his wife, Nicola, consequently inherited the first-class flights and upscale hotel stay, although he joked that some people expecting his famous son were less enthusiastic about the substitution.
“It was first class travel, posh hotel, but the thing is, all these restaurants and hotels are expecting Tom Holland,” Dominic joked.
Their Exhaustion Came After A Historic Box Office Summer

What makes Tom Holland and Zendaya’s decision particularly striking is just how successful the work exhausting them has been.
The couple appeared together in both Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” turning their summer into an unusually concentrated promotional marathon.
The movies subsequently became the two biggest global releases of 2026.
According to the Associated Press, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has generated roughly $2.4 billion worldwide after spending six consecutive weeks atop the domestic box office. “The Odyssey,” meanwhile, has climbed to approximately $1.6 billion globally.
Their combined success helped propel Hollywood to its strongest summer box office since before the pandemic.
The numbers make Dominic’s story an unusual counterpoint to the couple’s extraordinary year. While audiences saw premieres, red carpets, and two enormous hits, the pace behind that success apparently left Tom and Zendaya unwilling to make yet another lengthy journey once the promotional machine finally slowed down.
Tom Holland Almost Faced An Impossible Choice Between Both Blockbusters

The hectic summer actually began with a scheduling problem long before either movie reached theaters.
Tom previously revealed that production on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “The Odyssey” was initially scheduled to begin on exactly the same day, forcing difficult conversations about whether he could realistically make both projects work.
Zendaya apparently had strong feelings about the dilemma. Tom joked during a promotional interview that after telling his wife about Christopher Nolan’s offer, she threatened to “leave” him if he turned down “The Odyssey.”
The conflict was eventually resolved, allowing Tom to appear in both blockbusters. Holland later suggested that the delay may actually have benefited “Spider-Man,” with the additional time allowing the team to hire director Destin Daniel Cretton and further develop the screenplay, according to Moneycontrol.
That demanding overlap ultimately produced two enormous successes, but Dominic’s latest revelation shows the less glamorous side of carrying both projects around the world afterward.
More From The Blast
Tom Previously Explained Why Zendaya Makes Hollywood Pressure Easier

The relentless schedule also provides new context for something Tom Holland said when confirming his marriage earlier this year.
In June, he explained that being married to someone who understands the unusual pressures of his career has become an important source of stability.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” Tom told Esquire.
He explained that he and Zendaya can support each other in ways other people might struggle to understand because they both know what it is like to live under intense public scrutiny.
“For me, I found my person,” he added. “She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her.”
Those comments were made months before Dominic revealed just how demanding their blockbuster summer would become.
Tom and Zendaya have also remained protective of their individual moments despite working together. Holland previously told Men’s Health that he avoids walking Zendaya’s red carpets “because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment,” adding that if they appear together, “it’s about us.”
Tom Holland And Zendaya’s Exhausting Year Isn’t Slowing Their Success

Skipping Japan may have given the couple a chance to finally stop moving, but professionally, their extraordinary year is still producing milestones.
PEOPLE reported that “The Odyssey” recently crossed $1 billion at the international box office alone, while “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” became only the second film ever to surpass $900 million domestically.
The latter reached the milestone in just 36 days, beating the 50 days it took “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” to reach the same figure.
For Tom, the year also coincided with a major personal transition. He previously described “The Odyssey” as part of a “new chapter” in his life as he moves into a different stage of his career and marriage.

‘X-Men’s Next Major Reboot Is Officially 1 Month Away
Before the upcoming live-action X-Men reboot hits the big screen, fans are getting another remake that arrives much sooner. To be directed by Jake Schreier, the untitled X-Men movie is set to debut on May 5, 2028, and already has most of its lead cast unveiled, with more new casting to come, according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. The superhero film will see Sadie Sink portray Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm.
Some of these iconic characters will return about two years early in the upcoming Midnight X-Men comics, written by Jonathan Hickman and illustrated by Matteo Della Fonte. The new project marks one of the first three titles under Marvel‘s Midnight Universe imprint, which also features Midnight Fantastic Four and Midnight Spider-Man. Announced back in May, the publishing line was initially expected to roll out gradually, but Marvel later consolidated its opening titles into one coordinated launch.
As a result, Midnight X-Men, originally scheduled to begin publication in August, is now slated to debut on October 7, 2026, per ScreenRant. Midnight Fantastic Four and Midnight Spider-Man, on the other hand, which were to release in September and October, respectively, will also launch alongside X-Men. This creates an immediate shared world rather than three isolated experiments. Meanwhile, as teased by Marvel, in this new phase, “hope dies in the shadows of the MIDNIGHT UNIVERSE, a new publishing line where top creators unleash haunting new visions of Marvel’s greatest icons.”
Marvel’s ‘Midnight X-Men’ Marks a Bloody New Era
Midnight Universe introduces a separate horror-focused continuity for recognizable heroes, enabling their icons to be reimagined without replacing the main versions. Therefore, Midnight X-Men, set in a dark, horror-themed New York City, depicts a conflict between standard vampire factions and mutant vampires called “empyres.” The vampire side features Storm, Gambit, and Iceman, while Magneto, his children (Polaris, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch), and Havok represent the opposing force. There’s also Nightcrawler, who holds a position of authority in the church and may act as a mediator, while other Midnight X-Men characters include Cyclops and Jean Grey.
Midnight X-Men is scheduled to launch on October 7, 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.

Bebe Rexha Blasts ‘Straight Men’ For Sexualizing Her Body
Bebe Rexha is calling out the unwanted attention surrounding her body after social media users began focusing on her breasts and recent weight gain. The 37-year-old singer expressed frustration with men sexualizing her appearance while also admitting that she still wants the freedom to dress however she chooses. Rexha’s remarks also highlighted what she sees as a double standard facing women with curvier figures, who may be judged more harshly for wearing the same revealing outfits as thinner women.

Rexha addressed the situation through a series of posts shared with her two million followers on X on Sunday. “I don’t know what to do with my b–bies. They just got so massive, and I hate the straight men in my comments who only come for that but, then again, a girl still wanna dress sexy,” she wrote.
The “Meant to Be” singer then joked about wanting an online space where she could share content without receiving the same attention from heterosexual men. “Idk we need an app for girls and gays,” Rexha added.
The Singer Highlights A Curvy Fashion Double Standard

Rexha expanded on her concerns in a follow-up post, explaining that women with curvy bodies are often viewed differently when wearing fitted clothing. “I feel like when girls with curvy bodies wear something tight we automatically look sl-tty,” she wrote.
Rexha has repeatedly embraced sexy fashion throughout her career, but she has also been candid about the scrutiny that comes with showing her figure publicly.
Bebe Rexha Addresses Her PCOS And Weight Gain

During the online conversation, a fan asked whether Rexha’s recent weight gain was connected to polycystic ovary syndrome, also known as PCOS. The singer responded that PCOS was partly responsible, along with “eating too much bread.”
Rexha has previously spoken publicly about being diagnosed with the chronic hormonal condition. According to the World Health Organization, PCOS affects an estimated 10% to 13% of women of reproductive age. Symptoms can include irregular menstrual cycles, excessive hair growth, acne, infertility, and weight gain.
The organization also notes that PCOS can be associated with insulin resistance and an increased risk of other health conditions. Symptoms vary significantly, meaning not everyone diagnosed with PCOS will experience the same changes.
The Pop Star Has Been Open About Her Changing Body

Rexha’s latest remarks are part of a years-long conversation she has maintained with fans about body image and public criticism. In 2023, she shared a photograph of herself lifting her sweatshirt to reveal her stomach. “Yes, I’m in my fat era and what?” she wrote at the time.
That same year, Rexha appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” and discussed how commentary about her weight affected her emotionally. “Listen, we’re in the public eye, so that’s bound to happen,” she told Jennifer Hudson. “I was a lot thinner, and I did gain some weight; that comes with the territory. I’m not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you.”
“You don’t know what somebody’s going through, what they’re going through in their life, so it kind of is tough. But I feel like we’re in 2023 … we should not be talking about people’s weight.”
Rather than deny that her body had changed, Rexha questioned why her weight should become a public topic in the first place. “Listen… I like to eat, okay? I like to eat,” she added.
Online Weight Searches Left Rexha Feeling ‘Discouraged’

The singer has also admitted that she sometimes struggles to avoid searching for commentary about herself. In April 2023, Rexha discovered that “Bebe Rexha weight gain” was trending as a search term on TikTok. “Seeing that search bar is so upsetting. I’m not mad cause it’s true. I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what,” she wrote on X.
Rexha later acknowledged that weight had always been a sensitive subject for her. “I’ve always struggled with my weight. A b-tch likes to eat. I’m working on myself every day. Just discouraged a bit right now,” she admitted.

Ice Spice Shows Off Cheeky New Tattoos Just Below Her Butt
Ice Spice is cheekily showing off her latest tattoos.
On Sunday, September 6, the rapper, 26, posted a provocative video to Instagram showing off her new ink, which is located on the back of her upper thighs — just below her buttocks.
Ice’s new ink features the words “saint” and “sinner” on each thigh in cursive font.
“For the love of the game,” she captioned the video, which was set to the tune of her new single “Out My Face (My Baby)” featuring Lil Yachty.
Ice — real name Isis Naija Gaston — shot to fame in 2022 with the song “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and gained further recognition when she collaborated with friend Taylor Swift on the latter’s “Karma” remix the following year.
“I relate to Ice in many ways, but I think her dedication and focus is what blew me away from the very start,” Swift gushed to Variety about her pal in September 2023. “She’s extremely professional without being cold. Playful and fun without ever taking her eye off the prize. She knows what is and isn’t ‘her’ and sets those boundaries with grace. She studies the industry and other artists’ careers but is very clear about charting her own definitive, original path. It’s her ability to carefully find that balance that impresses the hell out of me.”
“That’s my sis. We was talking about a bunch of things,” Ice said in a Variety profile at the time. “She’s so funny. We was sipping on a little something something. Just chatting, vibing.”
Ice was on hand for Swift’s July 3 wedding to Travis Kelce, according to ESPN talk show host Pat McAfee, and even serenaded the couple with a song. Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City this past summer in front of a star-studded guest list.
Speaking on his eponymous show in July, McAfee said he wasn’t familiar with all of the songs performed at the ceremony, including a song by Ice, but said the rapper “had a lot of energy up there.”
“I guess me saying Avril Lavigne played ‘Sk8r Boi’ was the first time that it came out,” he shared. “But she was awesome.”
“To be clear, those musicians … really cool. Like, one would just call out the other and then they would come up and they would just do their s***,” he added of the musical performances at the wedding.
“That was the most spectacular evening I have ever been a part of. I cannot wait to chit-chat about that throughout the day,” McAfee said. “I’m sure there was something that I agreed to not talk about, but from the things that I’ve been reading about, other people [are] talking about it, like, kinda sorta ’cause there were no phones in there. There is no notes section, no writing or anything, so it’s literally all just memory.”
