WHAT I AM WEARING: TRAVEL STYLE FALL 2026

Sweater // Jacket // Scarf // Shoes // Pants // Glasses // Earrings
Jacket // Pants // Sweater // Shoes
This is one of my most requested posts: What to wear when traveling. I get it. You want to look put together while staying as comfortable as possible. Fall travel looks can feel particularly tricky for me as I am typically traveling from a very hot and humid Florida to a cooler place like NYC or Scotland. Plus, you are dealing with all the unexpected temps that come with the glamorous airports (sarcasm) and planes themselves. I am breaking down some of my favorite travelwear pieces for fall 2026. These are versatile pieces I am wearing for traveling and the items I can mix and match and layer to get the most use.
BASE LAYER // I am always wearing a tank top or a tee under anything while I travel. If I get overheated I start to panic a bit! Right now my go-tos are all great tees. I love this one because it has an incredible hand-feel, is fitted without being too tight, and is nice enough to tuck in and wear to dinner paired with items packed in my suitcase. I also love this tee – the fit is more boxy. It feels great to travel in and is a more trendy cut to wear back to denim (like this) while exploring.
SWEATERS // Sweaters are a must for me. While I love a great button down, I prefer a sweater while traveling for comfort and ease. My top three are this sweater I own in nearly every color (seen above), this classic I have waxed on and on about for years, and this new-to-me sweater that I am styling above. All of these have a similar fit, what can I say I like what I like. I prefer a slightly oversized crew neck that is on the thicker side.
PANTS // I rarely travel in jeans as pants are what I prefer for travel. I love wearing these cropped cargos that are so comfortable, relatively lightweight, and have super handy pockets. When I opt for joggers, these are the ones I grab the most frequently. Recently, I have also started to wear these. They are a great option as they are extremely comfortable and roomy, but I also find them to be quite versatile. I end up wearing them on the trip, not just in transit!
FLATS // Currently, my favorite flats to travel in are these cap toe numbers, these shoes that feel like I am wearing nothing at all, and these more classic options. I also love wearing adidas sneakers like these and these. If you are more of a classic sneaker gal, Vejas are also a great option.
SCARF // My travel uniform has always consisted of a scarf. I love an oversized cashmere scarf like this one, but right now as I am styling scarves constantly, I am traveling with those that can also complete my non-travel looks as well. I cannot say enough amazing things about this scarf. I bought it in cream and will likely head back for the navy. This bestseller from last year is a great option for a warm but smaller scarf. Lastly, I finally bought a used Hermes cashmere shawl from TRR and it has already proven to be an excellent purchase. Despite being in the first month of ownership, my price per wear is incredible. See how I styled it above and shop all the options here. Remember, you can heart things on TRR and wait to buy when they go on sale or promotion.
For my travel bag, I am sticking with this one. I love the luggage sleeve, how easy it is to clean, and all the different compartments. 10/10, no notes! I carry the large size!

TRAVEL BEAUTY

Travel really forces you to whittle down what you actually need or want to bring on a trip. How many shoes can I really pack? Ugh, I should probably only bring two coats. What beauty items are a must for this trip? I took a look at my latest few trips and what beauty products were making the cut…
CURRENT MASK // Sheet masks are a must for me when traveling. My skin gets easily dried out, and I prefer a sheet mask over a messier and sometimes bulkier traditional mask. This mask is my current favorite. It hydrates while truly resetting my skin!
SUPER ANTI-AGING FACE CREAM // When traveling, I try to avoid packing a day cream and a night cream. This face cream seems to do the trick for both, so this is what I have been packing recently. It is perfect for daytime application and goes seamlessly with my beauty routine while also being highly effective as a PM cream!
MAKEUP REMOVER // I have talked about this again and again, but it is the best makeup remover I have found lately! It goes with me everywhere. Shop it here.
MINI SERUM // Since I know I will only need a pinch of serum for a wee little trip, I try to seek out my favorite serums in travel sizes. I was thrilled when they started making one of my favorites in a smaller size here.
PACKABLE SCENTS // Typically, I would never pack a perfume. They are bulky, and I am always afraid of them breaking in my checked bag. However, last year I bought this set, and now I love packing just one for each trip. They are all such fantastic combinations, and it gives me an excuse to try a new fragrance each trip!
EYE MASKS // In flight, I am not brave enough to don a full-face mask, but I will pop these on under my eyes. Summer Fridays really does no wrong in my book, and these are some of my favorite eye masks, next to these.
LIP LOVE // Again, when I am trying to minimize the amount I am packing, I want items to serve multiple purposes and be versatile. When it comes to lips, I love this product because the pigments are so good, but the formula is also so hydrating!
