A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms Betrays Its Audience And Turns Back Into A Nihilistic Game Of Thrones Show
By Joshua Tyler
| Updated

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms spent four episodes building up endless amounts of audience goodwill by being exactly the opposite of every previous Game of Thrones show. It positioned itself as a simple story about genuinely good and kind people doing good things in a beautiful, relaxing, perfectly shot and framed pastoral setting.
And then it threw it all away.

The show’s fifth episode, titled “In The Name Of The Mother,” is what it’s been building up to all along. A battle in which seven good men face off against the worst villainy that Westeros has to offer. The audience was primed for heroic combat, in which the show’s loveable main character, Duncan the Tall, would finally show us what he’s capable of, presumably with some sort of dazzling display of sword skills taught to him by his beloved deceased master, Sir Alfred Pennyworth.
We were ready for a half-hour celebration of heroic jousting, fencing, and flashing chain mail. We were ready to leap out of our seats and pump our fists as Duncan the Tall knocked that psychopath out of his armor and won one for the good and kind, the merciful and just, with superior strength and skill. We were ready for him to surprise everyone, to show the world that good can triumph over evil, and that it can happen in a setting where you can actually see what’s going on.
A Franchise Built On Death And Gore Returns To Its Roots
We got none of that. Oh, Duncan won, sort of, but in a way that might as well have been a loss. What we really got is a reminder that while you may have thought you were watching something refreshingly different, this is still Game of Thrones. The franchise that brought you the Red Wedding. The franchise that murdered all the best Starks. The world set you up for the heroic triumph of Daenerys, only to murder her in cold blood at the last minute for no good reason other than some vague handwaving about fascism.

This is Game of Thrones, the franchise where good people suffer for no reason, where beloved characters lose their heads, where everything is rot and filth and nihilism. That nice, clean show about that lovable knight you’ve been watching up til now? It was all a smokescreen, a bait and switch, so it could drag you right back into that pointless, stinking Game of Thrones hell.

When the trial of seven starts, Ser Duncan is knocked out cold in the first three seconds, allowing the show to avoid the battle and give us a 20-minute flashback (the entire episode is only 34 minutes long) of Duncan’s childhood, in which he lives in garbage and makes money by both murdering and robbing dying soldiers. It culminates in a scene where the camera lingers for nearly a minute, with an almost debauched sense of pleasure, over a little girl who used to be his friend as she very, very slowly bleeds out, spitting and dying and suffering in front of us after having her throat cut.
It’s All A Smokescreen
With that bit of pointless nihilism over, Ser Duncan wakes up in the middle of the battle, lying in a muddy puddle. The trial of the seven is still going on around him, but almost none of it is visible to the audience. Instead, we mostly see a bunch of mud.

Like the Battle of Winterfell that took place in the dark so you couldn’t see any of the actual battle, the trial of seven takes place entirely in a thick fog. The show’s producers claim this was because they don’t have enough money in their coffers to show a joust, but if you’ve seen any of the series The Pendragon Cycle, which operates on a micro-budget compared to the one mustered up by HBO for a Game of Thrones show, you know that’s total crap. The Pendragon Cycle routinely shows big battles, and they don’t hide them behind a smokescreen. This is just what Game of Thrones does. It teases the audience with something awesome, then shoots it in a way that never shows anything awesome.
After missing most of the battle, though, Duncan’s awake and ready to fight. Now, after that flashback, we know that what’s driving him isn’t goodness and decency, but standard Game of Thrones anger and filth.

Fortified with hatred for the world, Duncan gets involved in the fight, mostly by falling down in the muck and getting brutally stabbed out of nowhere a lot. Soon, there’s another knight wading around in the mud with him, and they’re both a mass of blood and gore, but they begin half-heatedly stabbing and hitting each other.
Many more minutes of mud later, Duncan collapses again and lies there staring at a puddle through his one remaining good eye before getting back up and punching his opponent in the face until he gives up. Some brains fall out of a heroic character’s head, everyone looks like hell, and there’s nothing enjoyable or pleasant in any of it. Just mud and gore. You thought you were watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, but really it’s still season eight of Game of Thrones, and everything sucks, and there’s no way out.
Game Of Thrones Hates Its Audience, And Always Has

Except this is worse. Because the show’s first four episodes showed that the people making it know exactly what their audience wants and are totally capable of giving it to them. They’re just not going to do it. They’re so obsessed with gore and sick, they’d rather spit in the face of their viewers than give them anything uplifting, beautiful, and heroic. This is a show that hates its audience and wants them to suffer even more than it wants to hurt its characters.
It’s a sickness, and one with only a single cure. Give up and go watch The Pendragon Cycle. There’s nothing worthwhile left in Westeros.

Everything Pooh Shiesty & Crew Allegedly Stole
In January of this year, Pooh Shiesty allegedly kidnapped Gucci Mane for a little over an hour. Pooh then allegedly forced the 1017 label owner to sign his contractual release at gunpoint. But that’s not all that he, Big30 and their co-conspirators dipped off with, per the criminal complaint. From watches to a wedding band, here’s a breakdown of everything allegedly stolen from three victims.
RELATED: Criminal Complaint Against Pooh Shiesty & His Conspirators Surfaces With Alleged Gucci Mane Kidnapping Details (SEE HERE)
Who Was Involved In The Kidnapping & Robbery Of Gucci Mane?
Pooh Shiesty (Lontrell Williams Jr.), Lontrell Williams Sr., Rodney Wright Jr., Kedarius Waters, Terrance Rodgers, Damarian Gipson, Demarcus Glover, Kordae Johnson, and Darrion McDaniel are the nine defendants named in the criminal complaint.
The kidnapping and robbery happened on January 10, 2026, in Dallas, just three months after Pooh’s early prison release. He had served three years of a 63-month sentence, which is 5 years and 3 months, after pleading guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge.
What Did Pooh Shiesty Allegedly Take From Gucci Mane?
Before we get to the material stuff, some might argue that Pooh Shiesty stole Gucci Mane’s sense of safety. Minutes after entering the recording studio building at 3:43 p.m., Pooh had asked the 1017 label owner for a private chat inside the recording room. Gucci agreed, stepping in there with his artist, Williams Sr. and Big30. Before long, Pooh Shiesty allegedly had a black AK-style pistol pointed at Gucci Mane, asking him to sign the release form twice, first with his name and then the missing date.
Meanwhile, Big30 was aiding in blocking the door and recording the contract signing. Amid the signing of the name and date, Pooh Shiesty allegedly robbed Gucci. For context, R.D. stands for Radric Delantic Davis—Gucci’s legal name.
“After the ‘release’ was signed, Williams Jr. (Pooh Shiesty) took R.D.’s (Gucci Mane)’s wedding ring, watch, earrings, and cash,” according to page 7 of the criminal complaint.

What Else Did The Co-Conspirators Allegedly Steal?
Gucci Mane had been at the studio with four other people. During the gunpoint signing, one security officer was in the rapper’s vehicle while the head of security, identified as C.W., was in the music studio lobby. Gucci’s other guests, identified as M.M. and B.P., were sitting in a room adjacent to the recording room with the six other co-conspirators.
As Gucci, Pooh Shiesty, Williams Sr. and Big30 exited the recording room, the rest of the crew allegedly pulled out handguns and/or AR/AK style pistols and demanded property from M.M. and B.P.
Terrance Rodgers, known as CMO Damn Foo, allegedly pushed B.P. onto a couch and searched his pockets, stealing his wallet. Darrion McDaniel, known as Glizzy 375, allegedly stole B.P.’s chain and a diamond ‘1017’ necklace. McDaniel made several threats to shoot B.P., but Pooh Shiesty allegedly instructed him not to, per the criminal complaint. Also, Demarcus Glover allegedly stole M.M.’s Rolex watch, a Louis Vuitton bag with high-end watches inside, Apple Airpod headphones and his wallet. M.M. reportedly said that all his property had Apple AirTags attached to it.
Meanwhile, Kordae Johnson and Kedarius Waters both allegedly had a firearm and held M.M. and B.P. at gunpoint during the robberies.
What Were The Injuries?
One of the co-conspirators allegedly choked M.M. from behind, causing him to almost lose consciousness. He suffered minor scratches on his wrist and neck.

No physical injuries to Gucci Mane are listed in the criminal complaint. However, the doc says the rapper believed someone was going to kill him. He was allegedly pushed onto a couch in the control room. Additionally, Pooh Shiesty placed the gun to the back of B.P.’s head. Then, he ordered him and Gucci Mane to leave the building through the west entrance. The whole ordeal lasted a little over an hour.
“As the Victims left, M.M. turned to Williams Jr. and asked
him if they were really taking his watches,” the criminal complaint says. “Based on later-recovered surveillance video footage, the Target Suspects left the studio and the office building through the east entrance at approximately 4:48 p.m.”

Geno Auriemma Apologizes to S.C. Staff Amid Dawn Staley Drama
UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma has issued an apology following a Final Four matchup against the University of South Carolina — but did not directly apologize to South Carolina coach Dawn Staley.
“There’s no excuse for how I handled the end of the game vs. South Carolina,” Auriemma said in a Saturday, April 4 statement shared via X. “It’s unlike what I do and what our standard is here at Connecticut.
He continued, “I want to apologize to the staff and the team at South Carolina. It was uncalled for in how I reacted. The story should be how well South Carolina played, and I don’t want my actions to detract from that. I’ve had a great relationship with their staff, and I sincerely want to apologize to them.”
After South Carolina defeated UConn, 62-48, in the Friday, April 3, Final Four game — ending UConn’s undefeated season — Auriemma approached Staley on the sideline and started talking to her in what originally seemed like the typical postgame interaction between coaches.
The discussion quickly went south, as Auriemma, 72, seemed to say something that upset Staley, 55. She responded accordingly, and the two legendary coaches had to be separated and guided back to their respective locker rooms.
“I will beat Geno’s a**,” Staley allegedly said after the incident, according to a video on social media.
Auriemma’s apology on Saturday notably did not include a direct mention of Staley, but rather the South Carolina “staff and the team.”

The 12-time NCAA champion claimed the interaction stemmed from a pregame moment, where he suggested that Staley did not participate in the traditional pregame handshake. Videos from before the game did, however, show the two shaking hands on the sideline.
In his postgame comments, Auriemma added that he and Staley “don’t have a lot in common,” but did credit Staley for building South Carolina into a women’s basketball powerhouse, saying that he has a “tremendous amount of respect” for Staley.
His frustrations were seemingly building throughout the game, blowing over in a sideline interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe after the third quarter.
“They’ve been beating the s*** out of our guys down there the entire game,” Auriemma said. “I’m not making excuses, because we haven’t been able to make a shot. But this is ridiculous.”
Staley, in her postgame press conference, refused to comment on the incident with Auriemma.
“You can ask Geno the question,” Staley said. “He’s the one that initiated the conversation. I don’t want what happened there to dampen what we were able to accomplish today.”

Amy Duggar Quotes on Joseph Duggar’s Child Molestation Arrest
Amy Duggar King has become one of the most vocal critics of cousin Joseph Duggar after his arrest on child molestation charges.
Joseph was arrested on March 18, 2026, for unlawful sexual activity with a minor after a 14-year-old girl accused the Counting On alum of molesting her in Florida in 2020. The victim told police that Joseph “eventually apologized for his actions” at the time and “the incidents stopped.”
Amy, for her part, told Us Weekly in a statement that she was “sickened, heartbroken and deeply angry” about the allegations.
“My first thoughts are with the victim, a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust,” she said at the time. “The courage it took for her to come forward, especially after years of carrying something so heavy, cannot be overstated.”
Two days after Joseph’s arrest, his wife, Kendra Duggar, was arrested on four counts of child endangerment that were unrelated to his misconduct allegations. She was released on bond on March 20, 2026. Two weeks later, Joseph was extradited to Florida, where the alleged crime took place, and entered a not guilty plea. He was released on $600,000 bail.
Keep scrolling for more of Amy’s comments about Joseph’s arrest scandal:
Amy Duggar Reacts to Kendra Duggar’s Arrest
Two days after Joseph Duggar’s arrest, his wife, Kendra Duggar, was also arrested. Both Joseph and Kendra are facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, second degree, and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. Kendra was released the same day on a $1,470 bond.
An insider with knowledge of the case exclusively told Us that Kendra’s arrest “has nothing to do with Joseph’s” child molestation case, and instead was the result of a subsequent home investigation.
Amy Duggar King had initially expressed prayers for Kendra, but later reversed course after her cousin-in-law’s arrest.
“I think that was a plot twist that no one saw coming,” Amy told TMZ. “When I gave that [first] statement … that was just the information I was given at the time and thought to be true. Now that the information has changed and there’s more that is coming out and there’s a lot of question marks right now.”
When Amy Duggar Last Spoke to Joseph Duggar

Joseph Duggar. Courtesy of TLC/ YouTube
In an Instagram post, Amy Duggar King revealed she hadn’t “seen or heard” from Joseph Duggar in “about five years.”
“That doesn’t mean I didn’t still love him and want the best for him,” Amy wrote via her Instagram Stories in March 2026. “I don’t think people understand how much time I spent with them and countless hours filming. I grew up over there [at his parents’ house].”
She added, “I didn’t know Kendra extremely well, but I thought they made an adorable couple. I went to a ski resort with them once and shopped a little with Kendra. [She was] very sweet natured, and [I] just loved her.”
After Amy found out about Joseph’s arrest, she said that she texted Kendra.
“No response back,” she claimed. “That was before I knew anything of her being arrested.”
Amy Duggar Offers Support for Joseph Duggar’s Kids
Amy Duggar King shared an Instagram statement in March 2026, revealing that she has “no idea” where Joseph and Kendra’s four children are upon her cousins’ arrests.
“I just hope and pray they are being well taken care of and someone is holding them tight and that they are safe,” she wrote at the time. “Sadly, I’ve never met them, they do not know me. So l’d be a stranger to them.”
Amy Duggar Feels ‘Emotionally Exhausted’
Amy Duggar King initially took a break from social media after learning of Joseph Duggar’s arrest.
“Hey TikTok, it’s been a minute. I’ve taken a minute from videos and whatnot because I literally don’t even know what to say,” she said in a March 26, 2026, TikTok video. “I feel emotionally exhausted from all of this. It’s not about me, I know it’s not … but my heart hurts. I know I’m not the only one.”
She continued, “Joe was the last person that I expected. We’re all wanting answers right now. … He’s behind bars tonight. I cannot comprehend that.”
Amy Duggar Slams Joseph Duggar’s Jail Calls
After audio of Joseph Duggar’s phone calls from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas was released, Amy Duggar King offered pointed criticism.
At one point, Joseph told wife Kendra Duggar that he’d been “spending a lot of time reading, uh, reading the Bible” while in solitary confinement.
“The bible is not a PR strategy,” Amy responded in an Instagram post. “You can read scripture day and night, all the time, and still avoid the truth.”
When Joseph complained about lack of sleep in jail in a separate conversation, Amy responded bluntly, “Nobody cares. I bet the victim hasn’t slept in five years.”
Amy also criticized Joseph for calling Kendra “competent” during another call, saying in a TikTok video, “Last time I checked, marriage isn’t a performance review and she’s not your employee.”

Trump Official Says He Was Teleported to Georgia Waffle House
A member of President Donald Trump’s administration claims he was “teleported” to a Waffle House in Rome, Georgia, against his will.
“I was with my boys one time, and I was telling them I was gonna go to Waffle House and get Waffle House,” Gregg Phillips, a far-right conspiracy theorist who now serves as a high-ranking US Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) official, claimed in a January 2025 episode of the “Onward” podcast, hosted by fellow right-wing activist Catherine Engelbrecht.
“And I ended up at a Waffle House — this was in Georgie, and I end up at a Waffle House like 50 miles away from where I was,” he continued. “And they said, ‘Where are you?’ and I said, ‘A Waffle House.’ And, ‘A Waffle House where?’ And I said, ‘Waffle House in Rome, Georgia.’ And they said, ‘That’s not possible, you just left here a minute ago.’ But it was possible. It was real.”
The FEMA official went on to lament on the so-called pitfalls of transportation via paranormal means.
“Teleporting is no fun,” he claimed. “You know it’s happening, but you can’t do anything about it, and so you just go, you just go with the ride. And wow, what just an incredible adventure it all was.”

Office of Response and Recovery Director Gregg Phillips Getty Images
After CNN published an investigative report into Phillips’ numerous podcast appearances and bizarre claims — including his violent rhetoric and conspiracy theories surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccines, former president Joe Biden and an an alleged “assassination” plot against Trump by the Department of Homeland Security — FEMA issued a statement.
“This is so silly it’s barely worth acknowledging,” the spokesperson told CNN. “DHS, FEMA, and Mr. Phillips are focused on the critical mission of emergency management and ensuring the safety of the American people. Many of the comments cited are taken out of context or represent personal, informal, jovial, and somewhat spiritual discussions made in the context of barely surviving cancer; in a private capacity prior to his current role.”
During the same January 2025 podcast appearance, Phillips claimed he was teleported against his will for a second time — this time, the official claimed he was “lifted up” while driving, further alleging he traveled 40 miles from Albany, Georgia, before landing in a ditch near a church.
Right-wing conspiracy theories and claims of other-worldy lifeforms or experiences are not uncommon among the Trump administration. While the president himself continues to claim the 2020 election was rigged and “stolen,” despite all evidence to the contrary, vice president JD Vance claimed aliens are actually “demons.”
“I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons anyway, but that’s a longer discussion,” Vance, 41, told far-right YouTuber Benny Johnson on March 28.
“Well, look, I think that celestial beings who fly around, who do weird things to people, I think that the desire to describe everything celestial, everything is otherworldly, to describe it as aliens,” Vance, who grew up atheist but converted to Catholicism as an adult, continued. “I mean, every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there and there are things that are very difficult to explain.”

The Movie Child Dancer Reveals Residual Pay
Dana Vaughns danced the “Hoedown Throwdown” with Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie — and he’s still raking in dough from it.
“How much money did I make doing the Hannah Montana movie? The answer is, ‘I don’t know,’” Vaughns, 28, said in a Thursday, April 2, TikTok video. “But I just got home from a trip to Dallas this weekend and, lo and behold, in the mail was a check for the Hannah Montana movie.”
He opened up an envelope, revealing that he “made a whopping $66.40” on his most recent paystub.
“Pretty sure the residuals come from when people order it on Disney+ or wherever the movie is streamed,” Vaughns said. “That’s where it comes from, and it’s not bad. It’s not bad to get a random [check], but I’ve had them as low as $9, $6, $4, like 10 cents. These residuals can get really low.”
Vaughns captioned his upload, “Hannah Montana still be paying.”
Cyrus, 33, starred as Miley Stewart/ Hannah Montana on Disney Channel’s sitcom of the same name, chronicling a seemingly ordinary teen girl’s double life as a world-famous pop star. The Hannah Montana series aired from 2006 to 2011, starring Miley, her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso and Jason Earles. The cast reprised their roles in 2009’s Hannah Montana: The Movie.
In Hannah Montana: The Movie, Miley took a break from her pop star career while visiting family in her fictional Crowley Corners, Tennessee, hometown. At one point, she took the mic at a local barn-held fundraiser and sang “Hoedown Throwdown.” Vaughns played a young dancer mastering the now-iconic line dance.
@danavaughns HANNAH MONTANA still be paying 😌 #hannahmontana #disney #childhood #money
“Y’all will never guess what Miley Cyrus taught me on set. Miley goes to tell me at this time in her life that she actually has done break-dancing,” Vaughns recalled in a separate TikTok video shared last month about his time making the Disney film. “She trained in break-dancing. I don’t know if she ever said that before [or] I don’t know if she was telling the truth, but I think she was.”
Vaughns further claimed that Miley said she mastered a certain “isolation move” in her neck and taught him how to do it.
“I don’t know what the move is called [or] what any of it is, but all I know is Miley Cyrus taught me how to do this,” he quipped. “Miley, if you’re watching this, thank you so much. That move has transcended my dance career, and I’ve kept it in my back pocket forever.”
While Miley did not respond to Vaughns’ video, she recently celebrated the milestone 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana late last month.
“Last night at the premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. Standing with Jason, Moises [Arias], Cody [Linley], Ana Maria [Perez de Tagle], and Shanica [Knowles], the cast I grew up with was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget,” the Grammy winner wrote via Instagram on March 24 after the red carpet premiere of her Disney+ reunion special. “We found our way back home, and it felt so good. Thank you for growing up with us.”

Alice Evans Allegedly Had $100K While Asking Fans For Donations
Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans‘ split is proving more acrimonious by the day as the estranged couple continues to hurl unsettling accusations at each other.
The actor told the court during their divorce trial on Friday that Evans actually had $100,000 in the account despite begging for money from fans.
A judge has since handed Ioan Gruffudd a renewed five-year restraining order against Alice Evans as their court battle rages on.
Alice Evans Allegedly Had $100k While Crowdfunding From Fans

Gruffudd has come forward with shocking new claims against his ex-wife, Alice Evans.
According to the Daily Mail, during a divorce trial at the LA Superior Court on Friday, the “Fantastic Four” actor told the court that while Evans was publicly pleading for financial assistance from her fans and social media followers, she was in fact sitting on a six-figure bank balance.
The “Vampire Diaries” actress had gone public with her supposed financial constraints, claiming she was “broke” and unable to afford groceries and take care of their daughters, Ella and Elsie, since she separated from their father in 2021.
Evans also said she was worried about becoming homeless due to her financial struggle. This prompted fans to donate thousands of dollars to a GoFundMe she created.
Gruffudd told the court that Evans said on social media that she started the GoFundMe “because her world had fallen apart…she was a struggling single mother who had exhausted all her resources and accounts and had no money for food and no help.”
However, the actor alleged that at the time Evans made the social media plea for help, “she was living in the family residence and [he] was paying all her expenses. By her own account, she had about $100,000.”
The Actress Was Asked About A $90k Fee She Withdrew From Their Joint Account

The ex-couple has been at each other’s throats for years now, with Evans seeking the court to increase the $1,500 monthly payment she gets in spousal support.
However, Gruffudd wants the court to cancel the payment altogether because of her “persistent domestic abuse” of him and her “many violations of a previous restraining order.”
According to the news outlet, he also claimed he had already “overpaid” her to the tune of almost $400,000.
As the court session proceeded, Gruffudd’s lawyers grilled Evans about a $90,000 fee she withdrew from their joint account and allegedly stashed away with their nanny.
She admitted to paying the sums of $10,000, $30,000, and two tranches of $24,000 to the nanny, but claimed that the domestic help was battling cancer and the money was an advance payment for her service so that she could attend to her health.
Alice Evans Admits She Hasn’t Tried To Get Other Jobs Outside Of Acting

Elsewhere during the court session, Evans maintained that her age has affected her chances of getting movie roles in Hollywood and that she hasn’t featured in any project since 2016, which has seemingly impacted her finances.
She also claimed that she suffers from an autoimmune disease that “can affect my ability to work…But I haven’t had a flare-up for three years.”
The “Lost” actress noted that she relies on “gifts from family, friends, and fans” to cover her bills, but admitted to Gruffudd’s lawyers that she has not tried looking for any job outside acting with her other skills, which include fluency in French.
“If I could earn enough money to support my children, I would be willing to move into a different field,” she said.
The Actress Suffered A Legal Setback

Gruffudd scored a huge win against Evans in March when Judge Michael Convey renewed his domestic violence restraining order for five years, per the Daily Mail.
The actor had recounted a years-long campaign of online harassment and abuse she waged against him and his new wife, Bianca Wallace, which caused him to seek an initial restraining order in 2022.
Evans Admitted That She hadn’t kept to her best behavior online and was often trash-talking them in several social media posts.
She then offered her apologies to them and told the court how “ashamed and regretful” she was of her behavior, but the judge didn’t take it, citing that she’d violated the initial restraining order “multiple” times.
The Judge’s Reason For Issuing The Restraining Order Against Ioan Gruffudd’s Ex-Wife

Despite Evans’ pleas, Judge Convey proceeded to renew Gruffudd’s restraining order, noting that she carried out a “concerted, focused, intentional and caustic campaign of denigration” aimed at Gruffudd and Wallace.
He stated that Evans’s “threats of force and intimidation….caused Ioan to fear for his and Bianca’s physical safety,” and that her “pattern of abuse” kept him isolated from their children.
“Her vow to ‘dedicate her life to fighting him’ and ruin his career threatened his ability to provide for his children,” the judge added.

8 Prime Video Shows That Are Amazing From Start to Finish
Prime Video is, without a doubt, one of the best streaming services out there right now, with some of the best shows. Their original series are incredibly well-made, and each one has a plethora of love, care, and prowess put into the creation of them, allowing them to quickly rise to the top rankings of all the streaming services taking over the world right now.
A good show finds itself being amazing from start to finish. While no show is perfect, and always has some parts of their run in which they may lack or dip a tad in quality, but, for the most part, they are pretty dang good. Honestly, what really matters is how the series takes those issues on the chin, and balances them out to show the audience they’re not down for good. With the number of shows that Prime Video has that are amazing, start to finish, they’re the perfect place to go when looking for a new binge.
‘The Boys’ (2019–Present)
One of the most explosive superhero shows of the modern age of superhero television is easily The Boys. Bringing about a brutal, bloody, and gory ride that has the squeamish audience members always cringing, this Prime Video show does everything it can to subvert the typical tropes of ordinary superhero stories. It’s so good that people widely consider it to be far, far better than the comic it’s based on.
Homelander (Antony Starr) is one of the most well-written television villains of the last ten years, bringing about mind games and a sense of tension unlike any other—not to mention his amazing score, composed by the likes of Christopher Lennertz. The protagonists are all charming, funny, and all-around compelling, and while the last season definitely lacked in comparison to others, the batting average of The Boys is undeniable.
‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ (2024–Present)
Based on the 2005 film of the same name, Mr. & Mrs. Smith ended up being an extremely fun show that some even say surpasses the quality of the original project. With the first season starring the ever-talented Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, and the second supposedly starring Sophie Thatcher and Mark Eydelshteyn, the characters are quite easily the highlight of this story.
The first season was quite a success, so it almost immediately got a second season renewal. Unfortunately, the sequel is on hiatus as the creative team goes through major changes, so it’s on an indefinite hold—not cancelled—which means this is the best time to get into the show and catch up. It earned itself 16 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, and if that alone isn’t enough to convince someone of this show’s quality, then not much else is.
‘Reacher’ (2022–Present)
The book series that Reacher is based on is one of the most popular thriller book series of all time—written originally by Lee Child. Once upon a time, there was a movie series based on them, starring Tom Cruise, but they didn’t do much great in terms of adapting the books, and in 2022, Reacher and Alan Ritchson came along and delivered where the movies couldn’t. No offense to Cruise, but this show pretty much wiped the floor with the previous adaptations and set the standard for shows like this moving forward.
Ritchson is—zero question in mind—the perfect pick for Jack Reacher, and it’s to the point in which he’s becoming what Robert Downey Jr. was to Iron Man, and it’s hard for people to imagine anyone else playing the war hero. Each season has been not only well-written but incredibly executed on the action and direction sides of things, too, making this show fully engaging the entire way through. It’s got the perfect mix of mystery, thriller, action, drama, and even romance. It really does have something for everyone, despite what it may look like on the surface (just a “guy’s show”).
‘Secret Level’ (2024–Present)
Anthology shows have been making a huge comeback in the last ten years, and one of the newest and most fun is most certainly Prime Video’s Secret Level. From the creator of the also incredibly popular Love, Death & Robots, Tim Miller, Secret Level is a project that, rather than bringing in completely original worlds, visits the worlds of popular video games, making it immediately popular. With built-in fanbases for each episode, success was pretty much guaranteed for Secret Level.
Adapting the universes of the likes of Mega Man, Warhammer 40,000, Pac-Man, and more, Miller has a ton of fun bringing a variety of animation studios in to give each world their own unique feeling and design. Almost every single episode of Secret Level is exciting, visually dazzling, and well-written, and worth watching for, not just fans of video games, but fans of science fiction as a whole. Audiences are eagerly awaiting Season 2 to see what batch of video game franchises will be adapted this time around.
‘Invincible’ (2021–Present)
Another superhero series from Prime Video that never holds back and is taking over the globe like Omni-Man (J. K. Simmons) always wanted is Invincible. Created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, this comic-turned-animated-sensation is loved by many. While everyone can agree that, at times, there are some hiccups in animation, they more than make up for it by putting their budget towards the moments that matter.
There’s a reason that the Invincible (2003) comic was successful enough to become a hit animated series, and that’s because the writing from Kirkman is so dang good, and it really gets even better in Invincible. The show gives him the chance to do things differently or even add stories he couldn’t do in the comics—most recent example being Invincible Season 4, Episode 4, “Hurm.” Because of this, the series has become something truly special.
‘Fallout’ (2024–Present)
Fallout is one of the most successful game franchises of all time and has one of the coolest post-apocalyptic worlds in sci-fi. With how beloved the franchise is, it only makes sense that they’d make a streaming series featuring some of the most talented actors in the game—Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, and more.
Many fans and critics would agree that the Fallout Prime Video series is one of the better video game adaptations in recent years. The era of video game adaptations—that are actually good—is here, and Fallout is the perfect example of this when it comes to the streaming space. This show is more than worth getting caught up on before the next season airs. Better yet, give it a watch, and then go play the games! The Fallout franchise has so much to offer on every front.
‘Gen V’ (2023–Present)
Within the world of The Boys comes the arguably better Gen V. Immediately when Season 1 aired in 2023, this spinoff ended up taking the world by storm. The characters within it are extremely compelling, and it tells a smaller story that makes the series feel even more intimate than The Boys, honestly. Gen V follows new students at Godolkin University as they uncover a wild conspiracy that connects directly to The Boys.
The status of a potential Season 3 is still up in the air—most likely will not be announced until after The Boys‘ final season—but even if it ended where it’s at right now, the writing is so good that the ending would feel satisfying, regardless. The cast of characters is so interesting and compelling, and they help drive the engaging story forward excellently. A more intimate, grounded story can often be more interesting and enthralling than big ones, and Gen V and The Boys are the proof in the pudding.
‘The Runarounds’ (2025–Present)
Without a doubt, the most underrated Prime Video series of all time—maybe even one of the most underrated streaming shows, too—is The Runarounds. Following a band trying to make it in an impossible industry, on a ticking clock as the rest of the world around them expects them to make decisions about what they’re going to do with the rest of their lives. It’s a profound coming-of-age story with some awesome performances all across the board. Season 2’s status is currently up in the air—the success of their recent tour and the viewership of the series itself are most likely to be deciding factors—so now is the time to go watch The Runarounds so they can get the continuation they so rightfully deserves.
Simply put, The Runarounds is one of the better streaming shows in quite some time and never got the attention it deserved. What makes this better is the fact that the band within the show is a band in real life, and the music within it—songs of their own they perform on tour—is available for streaming. So, not only does the show deliver on the television front, but provides an entire album of bangers, as well. The Runarounds is a perfect example of the fact that if done well, completely original ideas can be the best stories out there—Prime Video just needs to actually do a good job marketing them.
