Alan Ritchson’s ‘Reacher’ Season 4 Is the Prime Video Series’ Most Ruthless Installment
Reacher, Prime Video’s exhilarating action thriller crime jewel, is back for its fourth season, and it’s more muscular and unforgiving than ever. Based on the highly successful book series by Lee Child, the show sees the return of Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, a former U.S. Army military police major with a high intellect, hulking figure, eye for detail, and a propensity for getting involved in dangerous situations.
Season 4 of Reacher continues the show’s trend of delivering intriguing mysteries elevated by thrilling, aggressive action, showcasing Ritchson’s impressive physicality while introducing a fantastic assortment of new characters. With its fourth chapter, Reacher goes full neo-noir, embracing the genre’s fatalistic, gloomy approach while staying true to its action roots. The result is the show’s bleakest, most furious, and most demanding season so far, a mystery thriller that will have audiences on edge — and, perhaps for the first time, genuinely worried about its lead character.
What Is ‘Reacher’ Season 4 About?
Season 4 starts with Reacher boarding a near-empty subway in Philadelphia late one night. There, he witnesses the suicide of a distressed woman who rebuffs his attempts at helping her when he tells her he’s a cop. Reacher is escorted to the local precinct, where he meets Detective Tamara Green (Sydelle Noel) and her partner, Detective Shaun Docherty (Kevin Corrigan). Unable to let go of the case and feeling somewhat responsible for failing to help the woman, Reacher finds himself involved in a much bigger mystery involving multiple deceptive parties, a potentially corrupt politician, the CIA, and a flash drive that everyone seems to want, no matter how many lives are lost in the pursuit.
Season 4’s ensemble also includes Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob, a small-town police officer and the brother of the deceased who joins Reacher in search of answers. Indonesian superstars Agnez Mo and Anggun play Lila and Amisha Hoth, two women who become unexpectedly involved in the case. Kevin Weisman co-stars as Russell Plum, a disgraced freelance journalist working in Washington, D.C., alongside Marc Blucas as congressman and U.S. presidential candidate John Sampson and Kathleen Robertson as Sampson’s icy wife, Elsbeth. Nick Santora returns as showrunner and writer, this time adapting 2009’s Gone Tomorrow, the thirteenth novel in Child’s series.
‘Reacher’ Season 4 Has the Show’s Most Complex Mystery So Far
Narratively, Reacher Season 4 is the most intricate so far. There are many moving parts — too many, perhaps — and not all make sense. Yet, the mystery itself is so compelling that any weak spots are easy to forgive. Whereas previous seasons focused on relatively straightforward narratives with a clear baddie at the end, Season 4 opts for a less straightforward approach, featuring multiple unreliable elements connected to the opening scene in unclear ways. With Season 4, Reacher fully wades into the neo-noir genre, complete with femmes fatales, beaten cops, lying authority figures, and a morally compromised protagonist who will stop at nothing to solve the mystery.
Whereas every previous season has featured a story closely linked to Reacher’s past, this one is completely disconnected from any personal connection. Reacher just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and his attempts to de-escalate the situation unwittingly lead to tragedy. Even so, Season 4 is perhaps the best encapsulation of who Reacher is as a character: unstoppable, laser-focused, and with a life-risking need to find answers. Once he’s in, there’s no way to get him out; that’s just Reacher.
Action-wise, there’s more of what we’ve come to expect from Ritchson’s juggernaut. The fight scenes are gritty and savage: you hear bones crack and see so much blood splattering that you can almost smell the iron. You can also see the weight of the years in Ritchson’s performance. For the first time, Reacher feels vulnerable; he’s still a mountain of a man who can crack someone’s skull with his bare hands, but, without entering into spoiler territory, let’s just say he gets his ass kicked — a lot. The show is also getting far more creative with its kills, flirting with the self-aware nature of slashers without quite embracing their lunacy.
Season 4 also delivers Reacher‘s best and most elaborate action set pieces. At the season’s midpoint, Reacher finds himself pursued by the entire city of Philadelphia, leading to a nearly 10-minute-long chase sequence in an episode directed by Gary Fleder that ranks among the best the show has ever pulled off. What it lacks in style, it more than makes up for in near-unbearable tension. Like the season overall, it has many moving parts that keep the anxiety high and the adrenaline pumping.
‘Reacher’ Season 4 Has One Hell of an Ensemble Cast
As with previous seasons, Reacher finds much of its strength through its ensemble. This time, Ritchson is accompanied by a collection of very well-defined supporting players, each one with something to contribute to the narrative. Noel is perfect as the driven Detective Green, with Corrigan providing perfect balance as her more disinterested partner. In Reacher‘s world, cops can make a difference, and the best operate under a strict code and answer to a higher calling. Noel’s Tamara fits this approach to a T, and it’s great to see her working right alongside the show’s lead.
Marquette’s Jacob is the perfect Reacher companion: he’s not exactly useless, but he’s certainly not useful. Yet, he’s the season’s emotional core, and his quest to avenge his sister provides a human, relatable element amid the chaos. Weisman’s Russell Plum serves as Season 4’s tech expert, selling it while also carving out a role for himself in a story that never stops long enough to catch its breath. It’s near-impossible to discuss the other characters without entering spoiler territory, but suffice to say that both Mo and Anggun are perfectly utilized and Blucas is a solid addition as the hard-to-pin-down Sampson.
Yet, for all its strengths in casting, it’s hard not to miss Maria Sten‘s Frances Neagley. Season 4 is the first installment not to feature her in any capacity, and her absence is sorely noticed, especially because there are several times throughout the story when it would have made sense for Reacher to call on his long-time ally for help. Sure, Plum acts as a substitute, tech-wise, and Neagley is getting a spin-off to showcase the character in all her badass glory. However, she’s crucial to the Reacher franchise, and this season very much proves it. Similarly, it’s hard not to wish that Robertson’s elusive, stoic Elsbeth Sampson earned more to do, considering she’s the season’s most interesting character.
‘Reacher’ Season 4 Keeps the Show Fresh and More Engaging Than Ever
Reacher Season 4 is further proof that, four years in, the show keeps finding ways to stay fresh. Yet it’s also the most challenging installment so far because of how willing it is to get really bleak. Countless people die, many of whom are just victims of really bad luck, starting with the character whose suicide triggers the whole thing but certainly not ending there. The inescapable pull and senselessness of violence break even the strongest spirit. The villains are probably the cruelest and most despicable in Reacher so far, and their crime spree has so much carnage that catharsis seems near-impossible.
Ultimately, Reacher Season 4 stays true to itself by delivering a fistful of rageful, determined justice that will have you cheering through gritted teeth. Here’s hoping Season 5 reaches the same levels of sheer excitement and narrative complexity, because if the show keeps up this pace, Reacher is headed for all-timer territory.
Reacher Season 4 premieres August 12 on Prime Video.

Kristen Stewart Opens Up About Working With Wife Dylan Meyer
Kristen Stewart and wife Dylan Meyer got even closer while working together on their new movie, The Wrong Girls.
Stewart, 36, stars in the new stoner comedy, which was written and directed by Meyer, 38, and marks Meyer’s directorial debut.
During a Monday, August 10, appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Twilight alum was asked whether she had any apprehensions about working with her wife. The short answer? Not at all.
“Making something with somebody is my favorite form of intimacy,” Stewart said. “I think when movies are really good … it’s like an act of love. So it makes complete and total sense for me to work with my closest friends and family.”
Host Jimmy Fallon then asked Stewart if anyone tried to talk her out of working with Meyer.
“I’m a sort of exceptionally demanding and direct person, so no,” the Oscar nominee responded. “I was just like, ‘You’re going to make the movie without me? No.’”
Stewart praised her wife’s vision for the film, particularly the soundtrack, describing Meyer as a “cool girl.”
Stewart and Meyer wed in an intimate Los Angeles wedding in April 2025 after six years of dating.
The couple first went public in October 2019 when Meyer shared a Polaroid picture of them kissing via Instagram.
Two years later, Stewart confirmed that she and Meyer were engaged and said that it was Meyer who proposed to her.
“We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it,” Stewart said during a November 2021 appearance on The Howard Stern Show. “I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
“It’s not a given that I would be the one, you know what I mean? Like, with two girls, you never know, like, who’s going to fulfill what weird f***ing gender role thing and we don’t do that or think about it in those terms,” she continued.
Stewart added, “So I was like, ‘Wait, well, I’m not the one for sure.’ And so I was kind of joking for a bit, like, ‘No, I want to be the one to propose, like, I want to be proposed to,’ and then she just grabbed that bowl and made it happen. It was f***ing so cute.”
In a March 2024 interview on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, the actress confirmed that she and Meyer were considering starting a family.
“We’ve done really annoying things, like freeze our eggs and stuff,” Stewart said. “So if we want to, we can … [We’re] keeping that open.”
The Wrong Girls is in theaters on Friday, August 14.

Star Wars and Marvel Officially Confirm First-Ever Franchise Crossover
Both Marvel and Star Wars are operating under the Disney banner in 2026, but each franchise has released several new projects, some of which have been met with a warmer reception than others. Star Wars returned to the big screen for the first time since 2019 with the premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu, which bombed hard at the box office before arriving on digital. Star Wars’ only Disney Plus show of the year, Maul — Shadow Lord, wowed fans around the world, though, on its way to earning a Season 2 renewal. As for Marvel, its latest blockbuster in collaboration with Sony, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is shattering records at the box office on its way to becoming one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. Marvel has also released new seasons of Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again, and X-Men ‘97 this year.
Fans have spent nearly 50 years pitching potential crossovers between Marvel and Star Wars, be it in live-action, animation, or even comics. Despite both operating under the watchful eye of Disney, it’s never happened, until now. News broke this morning that, for the first time in history, Marvel and Star Wars are officially teaming up for a new five-issue crossover comic book series, Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles. The new series will launch in January 2027, and EW even released first-looks at the covers for each of the new issues. Iconic characters from all eras of Marvel and Star Wars collide on the new covers, with Luke Skywalker and Captain America facing off, Darth Vader and Doctor Doom standing back to back, and even Wolverine and Han Solo working together. Other characters like Deadpool and Obi-Wan Kenobi will also appear.
Star Wars Celebrates Another Important Anniversary in 2027
Not only will 2027 bring the first official crossover in Marvel/Star Wars history, but the Star Wars franchise will also celebrate an important milestone. 2027 will mark 50 years since the original Star Wars movie, which has since been retitled A New Hope, hit theaters. Despite releasing all the way back in 1977, A New Hope is still one of the highest-grossing movies of all time with a box office total of $775 million against an $11 million budget. When adjusted for inflation, Star Wars’ box office total from 1977 amounts to a whopping $4.2 billion.
Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, the first official Marvel and Star Wars crossover in franchise history.

Brad Pitt’s Drinking U-Turn Came After ‘His Life Changed’
Brad Pitt shocked fans when he revealed that his seven-year stretch of sobriety had ended, but an insider is now shedding light on what reportedly convinced the actor he was ready to make such a significant change.
The 62-year-old has made it clear that his relationship with alcohol looks very different from what it once did, insisting that he now approaches drinking with strict limits.
According to someone familiar with Pitt’s thinking, however, the decision came only after years of reflection and major changes in his personal life.

Brad Pitt’s return to drinking was not an impulsive decision, according to a source who spoke to Page Six.
“This is a very personal decision that’s unique to Brad and his own circumstances,” the insider explained.
The source noted that seven years without alcohol gave the Oscar winner considerable time to reconsider his relationship with drinking and what approach now works for him.
“Over time, his life changed and he reached a point where he felt comfortable making a different choice,” the insider added.
For Pitt, that choice reportedly means moderation rather than returning to his previous drinking habits.
The source said he is “very conscious of his limits” and understands that drinking responsibly requires “discipline and self-awareness.”
They also pushed back against the idea that Pitt’s decision somehow erases what he accomplished while sober.
According to the insider, returning to alcohol “doesn’t take away from the years he spent sober or what he learned during that time.”
Instead, they described it as the decision Pitt believes is “right for him at this point in his life.”
Brad Pitt Admitted His New Approach Has Already Been Tested

The insider’s explanation comes shortly after Pitt publicly revealed the surprising change himself.
As The Blast reported, the “F1” star disclosed his new relationship with alcohol during a wide-ranging interview with Esquire.
After offering his interviewer wine at his Los Angeles home, Pitt acknowledged that he was no longer completely sober.
“I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon,” he said.
However, Pitt admitted that figuring out his new boundaries has not been completely seamless.
The actor recalled becoming “overconfident” on a couple of occasions before realizing that consuming larger quantities still wasn’t good for him.
His conclusion was straightforward. He can “have a few,” but not a lot, and now believes he has to be “professional about it.”
Pitt Once Said He Was ‘On His Knees’ When He Got Sober

Brad Pitt’s decision carries additional weight because of how openly he has discussed the circumstances that originally led him to sobriety.
Following his 2016 separation from Angelina Jolie, the actor began attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and remained sober for seven years.
During a 2025 appearance on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Pitt recalled arriving at his first AA meeting during an extremely difficult period.
“I was pretty much on my knees,” he said, explaining that he needed to “wake up” in certain areas of his life.
Pitt said the openness of the men in the group initially made him uncomfortable, but eventually became freeing.
He has also previously credited Bradley Cooper, who has publicly discussed his own long-term sobriety, with helping him get sober.
Pitt told Cooper during a 2020 awards ceremony that his fellow actor had played a meaningful role in that chapter of his life.
Brad Pitt’s Personal Life Has Changed Considerably Since 2016

The insider didn’t specify which changes made Pitt feel comfortable reconsidering sobriety, but his life today bears some notable differences from the one he was living when he stopped drinking.
His lengthy divorce from Jolie was finally settled in December 2024, more than eight years after their separation.
Pitt has also been dating jewelry executive Ines de Ramon since 2022. Their relationship has become increasingly serious, and the pair have made more public appearances together after initially keeping their romance relatively private.
They attended the French Open together in June and were among the celebrity guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July wedding.
Interestingly, Page Six reported that Pitt was seen drinking at the wedding weeks before his Esquire admission became public.
The sight reportedly surprised some guests who were familiar with his years of sobriety.
Pitt Recently Opened Up About Painful ‘Family Stuff’

Not every major change in Brad Pitt’s life has been positive.
As The Blast reported, the actor also used his Esquire interview to make a rare acknowledgment of the emotional toll his family troubles have taken.
Pitt described himself as a “congenital optimist,” but recalled one particularly painful period when he “didn’t see a way out.”
Although he emphasized that he had no intention of harming himself, Pitt admitted that the emotional pain became oppressive enough for him to understand why someone might view death as relief.
When pressed about whether that dark period involved his children, he declined to elaborate.
“Family stuff,” Pitt answered. “We could leave it at that.”
His relationship with several of the six children he shares with Jolie has become increasingly strained publicly, while the former couple’s divorce took years to resolve.

90 Day Fiance: Thomas Dintino Lays Down the Law
On 90 Day Fiance, Thomas Dintino prefers to lay out a yoga mat rather than a welcome mat for Paula Barbosa’s family. While it’s not unreasonable to set some boundaries, he definitely comes on too strong. Paula preps for the visit by cleaning and laying out a rug for the balcony. Thomas Dintino flips when he learned the rug costs 70 dollars. Paula suggests splurging on a proper table for the guests to dine at. But Thomas is proud to set up a card table with a bunch of random chairs
Thomas Dintino whines that the table takes up the space for his yoga mat. Paula calls him selfish and he tells her she doesn’t appreciate life. Paula takes the practical route blowing up various air mattresses around the apartment. Finally, her family arrives. Thomas and Paula race to the street to greet them. Thomas begins boldly yelling in Portuguese and the multiple family members pile out of the van.
At first the family is charmed by the apartment. Until Thomas Dintino starts screaming about the rules. No soap, no perfumes, no shoes in the house. It’s awkward and uncomfortable when he brags about not spending a dime to welcome the family as well as not owning a television. Paula’s brother finds two year old expired meat in the fridge. And declares Thomas Dintino crazy. Paula is completely embarrassed by the tantrum.

They clean up the studio and plan for a night out later.
But dinner out proves tougher for Edward than Barre class. Even with a few swigs of gin and tonic. Marissa Rubinetti lays out that this night will be light and free of serious conversation. But Edward fails to comprehend and goes into a dark speech about how if she should decide to cheat or do him wrong in the future it’s on her. Marissa tells him to lower his voice and marches away from the table. So, all her doubts about the marriage are back in play.
Josh Feels Disrespected by Catie’s Latest Request
Catie Norboe behaved herself at her bride or die themed bachelorette party. She’s proud of herself and feels good enough to ride bikes and have a picnic with her 90 Day Fiance Josh Atkins. It turns out Josh is feeling the effects of drinking the night before. He watched the news and got upset and fearful about the state of immigration. He feels insecure and misses his home country and a sense of belonging.
Catie thoughtfully asks what she can do to keep his mind at ease. He’s touched. But it doesn’t take long before she bursts his bubble. She suggests she wants to be open with him about something. And of course it’s her desire to not leave her ho -life behind. In other words an open relationship. Hungover Josh is understandably upset. And reveals he wants to settle down into a good old monogamous marriage. And that he feels like she’s giving him the finger. Catie gnaws on some prosciutto and shrugs.

And has only prepared french fries, tuna and eggs.
The couple begin class with the chef. Pasta and shrimp are the task at hand. But first Debby has to prepare the shrimp and rip their heads off. She’s squeamish on 90 Day Fiance. Mido taunts her and Debby bores the instructor with Mido’s engagement prank. Later, Debby gazes dreamily at Mido. She tells him she loves him “so much”. Mido looks uncomfortable. But blurts out “love you too” to Debby’s delusional delight.
It’s one day before the wedding. And Debby has to get flowers. She calls up her best friends who are in the dark about the impending nuptials. After the blow up after the haunted house, the friends aren’t really onboard with the marriage. Debby flashes her ring at them and they look disappointed. ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ recently came to an end after two seasons. The spinoff brought back several OG ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ cast members for its four-part finale. Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jennifer Stone, Gregg Sulkin, and Maria Canals-Barrera all reprised their roles. However, Jake T. Austin, who played Max Russo, was noticeably missing. Now, Jake and David are sharing their sides of what happened behind the scenes.

Jake T. Austin Opens Up About Being Left Out Of The ‘Wizards’ Spinoff
While ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ wrapped up with its finale, Jake T. Austin spoke out about his absence from the spinoff. Jake played Max Russo throughout the original series but never reprised his role. He revealed that he was interested in returning. Despite his disappointment, Jake showed love to his former castmates and wished them continued success. He also thanked longtime fans for their support.
“To all the Wizards fans, just wanted to say for the record how disappointed I am to have not been included in the spinoff. I was asked back in 2020 if I was interested in reprising my role and said that I was 100% in.
Unfortunately, the powers that be decided to take the show in a different direction and my character wasn’t part of the equation.
Even though I wasn’t involved, I still have nothing but love for my former castmates and wish them continued success. Thank you to all the fans who watched over the years. The show wouldn’t be what it is without your endless support.”
David DeLuise, who played Jerry Russo, also weighed in under Entertainment Tonight’s recap of the OG cast reunion. “Would not be over if the OG wizards were really there. Missed opportunity,” David wrote. David previously reprised his role as Jerry during the spinoff. However, he did not return for the four-part series finale.
David Henrie Responds To Jake T. Austin’s Claims
Many ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ viewers wanted answers following Jake T. Austin’s post. Some even made their way to David Henrie’s Instagram DMs. David, who serves as an executive producer on ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,’ shared DMs from fans showing love to the finale. He also shared a message questioning why Max was not included. David stated that he would’ve loved for Jake to reprise his role as Max. However, he claimed Jake declined numerous offers to return.
“I woulda loved to have Max back but sadly he didn’t accept our numerous offers to join the new show. We called him, texted, went through agents etc. I would have loved for this new generation of millions of kids to get to meet Max, but I respect his decision and wish him all the best.”
Jake T. Austin Shares More Details About Why He Didn’t Return
Later that Friday, Jake T. Austin took to his Instagram Story to explain why he ultimately declined returning to ‘Wizards.’ Jake said he first learned about the spinoff through the media in 2024. He claimed he was the only Russo family member not invited to make a cameo or visit the set during Season 1.
Jake said David eventually reached out about returning. However, he passed after feeling “dismissed” and “kept in the dark” during Season 1. “The full story from my perspective: I first met with Disney in 2020 to discuss returning as Max for what I was told was essentially going to be a continuation of the original series,” he said.
“I only learned a spin-off was happening when it was announced in the media in October 2024. I was the only Russo family member who wasn’t invited to make a cameo appearance or visit the set by the end of s1. I was also not invited to the premiere.
I was kept in the dark about coming back until after the show wrapped s1. In April 2025 I received a DM from David asking if I would be interested in returning to the show.
By that point, I already felt dismissed for not being invited back during s1. And I wasn’t a fan of where they were taking the show in general. The whole thing felt off.
I feel like more of the OG Wizards cast should have been involved from the beginning, not just randomly appear for an episode or two, so I passed.”

Will Pregnant Anne Hathaway Reveal the Sex of Baby No. 3?
Pregnant Anne Hathaway is keeping mum on the sex of baby no. 3.
The Oscar winner stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, August 10, where guest host Anthony Anderson predicted that she and husband Adam Shulman are going to have another boy.
“I consider myself to be a baby whisperer,” Anderson, 55, told Hathaway. “Now, this is my first time seeing you pregnant and whatnot. It looks like it’s a boy. Am I correct, or you’re waiting?”
The Odyssey star, 43, responded, “We know [but] we’re not saying.”
As the studio audience cheered, Hathaway said, “Thank you for the support. It always feels so rude saying that,” adding that she “feels bad” for not sharing the baby’s sex when asked.
Hathaway was also asked about “releasing five movies and a baby” in 2026. The actress has already starred in Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2 and The Odyssey and is next set to appear in sci-fi thriller The End of Oak Street, due for release on Friday, August 14. In October, she will appear in the Colleen Hoover adaptation Verity.
The star said she feels “lucky” to have so much to look forward to this year, adding, “It’s incredible. I would never have imagined anything like this could happen. The only thing you can do is lean in, say yes, have a great time, laugh your ass off, and make some memories.”
Hathaway and Shulman’s sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, are also excited to make some special memories with their new sibling.
“[They’re] over the moon,” the actress said. “It feels really beautiful. It feels like the family’s having a baby. I mean, it’ll feel like I’m having a baby while it’s happening, but the emotional feeling is that we’re all going to welcome this little one.”
Hathaway’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday came the same day she shut down online speculation of a fake baby bump after sporting a stomach-baring crop top the day before.
On Sunday, August 9, Hathaway joined her End of Oak Street costar Ewan McGregor at the film’s world premiere in Burbank, California, wearing a pale blue top and low-cut jeans.
“Fake hair, real bump 😘 ✌️🦖🔥☀️🦕😅,” Hathaway captioned an Instagram video of her getting ready for Sunday’s red carpet. “Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”
Hathaway announced her pregnancy in June via Instagram and previously joked that she and Shulman are “calling this one our buzzer-beater,” referring to the basketball term for a shot that succeeds right before the final buzzer.

Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, Morgan Seymour Speak
Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo & Morgan Seymour are sharing their regret following the passing of their friend, Nolan Wells.

Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo & Morgan Seymour Talk Life Following Passing Of Nolan Wells
On the evening of Monday, August 11, Officer Tatum released a sit-down interview with Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, and Morgan Seymour via his YouTube channel. Initially, the trio discussed the impact of the death of their friend, Nolan Wells, their public’s suspicion of their involvement, and the impact it has had on their lives.
Seymour noted that it feels like their life has stopped, while Pitalo added that it’s been a “flip upside down.” Specifically, Hudson noted that they’ve been unable to go out in public because their heads “are always on a swivel.”
“…I know my friends have had encounters in public. The threats have been insane,” Hudson added. “… It’s unbelievable where this has been taken to and the level of where this is at.”
As the conversation continued, the trio’s lawyer, Edward Paltzik, maintained that his clients “did nothing wrong” nor had anything to do with the passing of Nolan Wells. Still, per Hudson, he and his friends have reportedly been in situations where they felt their lives were at risk and had to leave certain locations.
Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo & Morgan Seymour Share Regret
Around the 15-minute mark, Officer Tatum asked the group how they think things “should have played out” amid Wells’ death, and how they believe it should have been “put out to the world.”
“So, first off, I wish that none of this would have ever happened. I wish that Nolan could still be here with us today,” Pitalo explained before adding. “I feel like his mom blasting us on social media from the get-go… that’s where it first started to take off. And then also the fact that she posted a picture of me and Morgan and another guy and Nolan on the boat together, blasting that out there, pushing this narrative… I wish that would have never happened either.”
Specifically, Pitalo said that if those events had never happened, the incident wouldn’t have gone as “viral” as it did. Furthermore, Pitalo even alleged that Wells’ dad, Elmore Wonsley, has also been more familiar with him than he previously noted.
“I wish we would have never went out on the Fourth of July because I know this wouldn’t have happened. Nolan wouldn’t be gone. It’s just really hard to think about ’cause it’s like, ‘I wish I would have done this different,’… cause now one of my brothers passed away,” Hudson explained.
Still, he noted that he was the one who called the Coast Guard and informed Wells’ mom.
“I wish it wouldn’t have been reported as some type of race thing. I think it’s really bad that people are pushing the narrative… obviously, it’s not. I mean, this was like a brother to us… I wish this wasn’t pushed on the media, as ‘This is a bunch of white guys that killed a Black guy,’” he continued.
Hudson noted that “from the beginning, no one had facts.”
“I know we did everything right and nothing wrong,” Hudson added.

Beyoncé Sued Over Alleged Copyright Infringement
Beyoncé is back in the headlines, and this time, it’s over an alleged unauthorized music sample. According to a new report, the “Single Ladies” hitmaker is being dragged to court after a music company filed a lawsuit against her music label, Parkwood. Beyoncé has been in a back-and-forth battle with this company since 2022, when she released her seventh studio album, “RENAISSANCE.”
The release of “RENAISSANCE” spawned several hits, including “Cuff It,” “Break My Soul,” and “Alien Superstar.” In the latter, the singer samples a portion of a song called “Moonraker” by a singer named John Holiday.
The sample appears at the beginning of the track and tells listeners not to be alarmed and to remain calm.
However, according to TMZ, a company called Hirose Entertainment and a producer named Shuji Hirose are suing the mother of three and her Parkwood label for alleged copyright infringement.
The court documents claim that Hirose Entertainment is actually the legal owner of the song, not Holiday, so any deal should’ve gone through them, not the singer.
Hirose Music Is Claiming Beyoncé Allegedly Failed To Obtain A License To Use Their Work
Beyoncé’s “RENAISSANCE” was released in the summer of 2022, and according to Hirose, the singer allegedly failed to obtain the proper license to sample a portion of their song in her chart-topping project.
To make matters worse, they alleged that Beyoncé only obtained a license for the sample weeks after the drop, but only from Holiday, who allegedly transferred his stake in the song “decades earlier.”
Hirose claimed that they’ve tried settling this matter with Beyoncé and her team since the song’s release; however, no progress has been made, and Bey has continued selling the track. The court documents state that Hirose is seeking an injunction to stop Beyoncé from continuing to make music on the song and is suing for an undisclosed amount.
A Judge Recently Sided With Beyoncé On The Matter

Beyoncé’s company was in the headlines over this matter just a few weeks ago, according to The Blast. A U.S. district judge actually dismissed the copyright and breach-of-contract complaint filed by Hirose and deemed it invalid because the company was formed in early August 2025.
“Please do not be alarmed, remain calm: like the DJ booth referenced in the works at issue, this district judge must conduct a troubleshoot test of the entire system—that is, a jurisdictional inquiry—before reaching any of the parties’ merits arguments,” the judge wrote in his filing. “Plaintiff had no legal existence at the time it brought suit, so it cannot have held a stake in the outcome of the litigation at the time it filed the complaint.”
Artists Come Out Of The Woodwork To Accuse Bey Of Failing To Get Proper Credit

This isn’t the first time that Beyoncé has been accused of stealing other artists’ work. Shortly after “RENAISSANCE” was released, the English band Right Said Fred claimed that the “Lemonade” singer used a sample from “I’m Too Sexy” without obtaining permission.
“Normally, the artist approaches us but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person. She just had probably thought ‘come and get me’ so we heard about it after the fact when you did. But everyone else, Drake and Taylor Swift, they came to us. To use our melody, they need our permission, so they send us the demo and we approve it and if so we get a co-write credit,” the group wrote online.
Beyoncé and her team clapped back, though, saying that not only did they receive permission to use the sample, the group also spoke about how grateful they were that the 35x Grammy winner even thought to use their work.
Kelis Called Queen Bey Out

Kelis also tried to make Beyoncé’s “RENAISSANCE” release about herself, claiming in 2022 that the sample Bey used of her 2003 hit “Milkshake” was used without her permission.
“The reality is that it’s frustrating. I have the right to be frustrated,” she said, according to VIBE. “Why did no one have the human decency to call and be like, ‘Yo, hey, we would like to use your record.’”
However, Pharrell Williams, who wrote the song, spoke with the media and said that while Kelis was the performer, she had no authority to make contractual moves.
“I wish her the absolute best,” he said. “But I wrote this song.”

Netflix Officially Reveals New Psychological Thriller Trailer
Léa Seydoux has taken on big franchise hits like No Time to Die and Dune: Part 2, but now the actress is bringing us into the world of Gentle Monster. Directed and written by Marie Kreutzer, the film has been making its way around festivals, debuting at Cannes and continuing with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) later this fall. And now audiences can see the trailer for the film, which will be released in select theaters on October 30 and then later on Netflix on November 18. Gentle Monster stars Seydoux, Jella Hasse, Laurence Rupp, and Academy Award nominee Catherine Deneuve.
The film stars Seydoux as Lucy, a concert pianist who has to confront the idea of not really knowing who her husband is when police come to their home to raid his belongings. À la films like Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall, the trailer for Gentle Monster will have the audience (along with its characters) questioning everything. Gentle Monster is described as follows: “When a police raid shatters her life, concert pianist Lucy (Léa Seydoux) must protect her son and confront how little she knows her husband after he is accused of an unspeakable crime in this tense thriller about trust and survival.”
The trailer features Seydoux playing piano with glimpses of the story coming to life. It is simple and highlights Deneuve’s role beautifully but it does leave you wondering exactly what this family is about to go through. While the trailer does not say what crime Phillip (Rupp) commits, the film itself is based around a real life case against Austrian actor Florian Teichtmeister.
The Horrifying Case That Inspired Gentle Monster
In 2020, there was a report released by Die Zeit that detailed a pedophile ring involving 30,000 people. The case affected Kreutzer so that she began working on Gentle Monster. The problem came when an actor who worked on her previous film was associated with the news. Teichtmeister, who starred in Kreutzer’s film Corsage, was charged and sentenced as a result and it led to Kreutzer questioning the film she had been working on. “I was in shock” Kreutzer told Cannes. “Initially I thought that I couldn’t carry on working on Gentle Monster because the film would always be linked with the Florian Teichtmeister case, but hiding away would have been a mistake.” She ultimately went on to complete the film.
You can see Gentle Monster in theaters on October 30.
