Alannah Keyser Breaks Silence After Racial Slur Video
Booted “Love Island” star Alannah Keyser is speaking out after a video showing her using a racial slur resurfaced online. The video prompted swift backlash and calls for the reality star to be dumped from the “Love Island” villa. Producers heard the concerns and took appropriate action, telling fans that the Miami native had been removed from the show during last Thursday’s episode. Now, the 21-year-old is breaking her silence about the video and says she’s since removed the slur from her vocabulary.
@alannahkeyser remember that reality tv is HEAVILY edited & my chats/kisses with the other boys were unfortunately not aired
Keyser posted a TikTok video days after she was kicked out of the “Love Island” villa, addressing the noise surrounding her departure.
She explained that the clip of her using the N-word is “six years old,” adding that she was singing along to Roddy Ricch’s song “The Box.”
Later in the video, Keyser assured “Love Island” viewers that the N-word is no longer a slur she uses today, adding that it’s “not in my vocabulary anymore.”
Keyser went on to say that she “does not support racism or discrimination” and said that she was heartbroken learning that things from her past were resurfacing during her time away.
Keyser’s video didn’t garner the reaction from “Love Island” fans she was likely hoping for, as one Instagram user clapped back, saying her apology seemed heavily “scripted.” Another user chimed in, accusing her of using ChatGPT and other AI bots to address the noise.
A third user pointed out Keyser’s alleged bias against the men of color in the villa. For those who may not have seen it, when Keyser entered the villa, she was tasked with kissing all of the OG men. However, she only kissed the fair-skinned men, leaving the Black contestants, Corbin Mims, Sincere Rhea, and KC Chandler without a kiss, sparking even more criticism from some viewers.
“The audience is too diverse and picked up on it too. She couldn’t even play along during the challenge. How is that going to play out for the season? She was on the wrong show,” the commenter added.
Alannah Keyser’s Dad Enters The Chat To Defend His Daughter Against Racism Allegations

According to a previous report from The Blast, Keyser’s dad also responded to the claims that his daughter was racist, saying that she wasn’t raised to have hate in her heart. Keyser’s father called his daughter an “educated sweetheart” and claimed that she was brought up around diverse groups of people.
Keyser’s dad also received criticism from the fans, informing him that just because she was surrounded by different cultures doesn’t mean she can’t be racist. “Guess what, Dad? Racists can be sweet to those they care about AND get an education. That doesn’t make them not racist, guy,” someone wrote.
Keyser Is The Second Contestant From This Season To Get Kicked Off The Show
Keyser was the second contestant from this season of “Love Island” to get kicked out of the villa, according to The Blast.
Vasanna Montgomery was removed from the cast before the season even began after clips of her using the N-word were shared online.
In one clip, she was seen saying, “Knock knock n—a,” and in another, she used the slur while playing an arcade game.
She responded to the clips in a statement, saying, “In those videos, I used a racial slur. There is no excuse for it, and I am deeply sorry.”
Sean Reifel Responds To Pennsylvania Mayor Who Slammed Him For Joining The ‘Love Island’ Cast
Another report from The Blast details Sean Reifel’s beef with a Pennsylvania mayor who slammed him for leaving his job as a city cop to join the show.
Mayor William “Willie” Reynolds said he was shocked and disappointed that Reifel prioritized his desire to appear on reality TV over his responsibilities to protect and serve.
“I guess he’s upset. That’s interesting,” Reifel said of Mayor Reynolds’ comments. “I definitely had a sit down with my job and told them exactly where I was going and what was happening, and they asked me to put in for unpaid leave.”

The Numbers Are In, And Supergirl’s Word Of Mouth Is Really, Really Bad
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

Right now, Supergirl’s box office is looking pretty grim. Things seemed bad enough when the movie was projected to earn, domestically, between $45-$55 million in the first weekend, which was less than half of what Superman earned last year ($125 million). However, those projections just kept shrinking as we got closer to the film’s official release. Now, it looks like the film will earn more like $40 million domestically, with Toy Story 5 absolutely trouncing it at the box office. At this point, Supergirl’s only real shot at box office success is if it, like Obsession, gets great word-of-mouth to get more butts in seats in the coming weeks.
Unfortunately, it looks like that’s just not going to happen. According to PostTrak (which surveys moviegoers on how they felt about a film immediately after they leave the theater), only 52 percent of those who saw Supergirl would definitely recommend that others see it. This effectively compounds the bad box office problems: only a few people showed up to see this blockbuster film, and of the ones who did turn out, only about half said they would enthusiastically recommend it. In the short-term, this is bad for Supergirl; in the long run, though, this may spell disaster for the DCU.
Really Bad Word Of Mouth

Considering that it’s a blockbuster summer tentpole and the second film of the DCU, Supergirl’s box office is looking grim. The movie was basically dead on arrival, and everyone is now conducting an autopsy on exactly what went wrong. Much of that is up for debate: many blame writer Ana Nogueira, while others blame DC Studios CEO James Gunn, who hired Nogueira and championed her script as one of the best he has ever seen. Of course, many blame Craig Gillespie, the director who transformed a beloved, buzzworthy comic (Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow) into a largely bland and forgettable romp through space.
Whoever deserves the most blame, one thing’s for sure: Supergirl has failed to impress about half of those who saw it. According to PostTrak, men made up 59 percent of the movie’s audience, and only 45 percent would definitely recommend that others see it. Women made up 41 percent of the audience, and 62 percent of them would definitely recommend that others see it. Crunch those numbers, and you are left with only 52 percent of those surveyed saying they would enthusiastically recommend that others watch Supergirl.
It Gets Even Worse

Supergirl getting such poor word of mouth helps to partially explain why the movie’s opening weekend projections just keep lowering. In fact, some estimate that it may earn closer to $35 million domestically in its opening weekend. Believe it or not, though, things get even worse when you compare Supergirl to other tights-and-flights films. For example, it had a CinemaScore rating of B-, which may not sound that bad. But that’s a lower rating than The Flash, which is widely considered the movie that killed the DCEU. It’s a lower rating than The Marvels, which is the first MCU film to actually lose money.
Speaking of money, The Marvels earned $47 million domestically in its opening weekend, which is at least $7 million more than Supergirl will earn. Heck, even Morbius, the internet’s favorite punchline of a movie, earned $39.1 million, making (believe it or not) a profit; Supergirl will be a loss for the studio. To put this even more in perspective, this latest DCU film is doing badly enough at the box office that it may not even earn $200 million worldwide by the time it leaves theaters. Put another way, Spider-Man: Brand New Day may earn more in its opening weekend than Supergirl does in its entire run!

Obviously, all of this spells bad news for Supergirl. But it may spell even worse news for the DCU as a whole. That’s because, among other things, this bad box office and poor word-of-mouth prove that audiences won’t necessarily show up for feature films featuring relatively minor characters. That means we might get a correspondingly terrible box office for Clayface, the movie about a Batman villain that is inexplicably coming out before Batman makes his DCU debut.
Plus, Supergirl writer Ana Nogueira is going to be writing the scripts for both Wonder Woman and Teen Titans. Unlike Supergirl, these characters are absolute fan-favorites, and in the hands of the right writer, they could be runaway successes for the DCU. But if the scripts for those films end up being as mediocre as Supergirl’s, they may similarly implode. Should those films flop, they may cause some serious collateral damage. Namely, they may destroy this cinematic universe as surely as The Flash destroyed the DCU, leaving Marvel with no real rival as the MCU reboots its entire universe with Avengers: Secret Wars.

Matthew Perry Once Rescued ‘Friends’ From a Mistake Fans Never Saw Coming
Few shows are as enduring as Friends. The series ended more than 20 years ago, and it is still one of the most well-known sitcoms. Yet, that doesn’t mean everything in the series is perfect. In fact, there are a handful of storylines that fans generally dislike, from Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Joey’s (Matt LeBlanc) brief relationship to poorly-aged storyline where Ross (David Schwimmer) dates a student. However, as more information has come out about ideas that were thrown out, it’s become clear that the series narrowly avoided a twist that would have been worse than all of these, and it’s all thanks to Matthew Perry.
While Ross and Rachel are the big will-they-won’t-they couple, Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler’s (Perry) relationship is a highlight. Starting in Season 4, the couple becomes a constant in the series, but Friends planned on blowing it up by having Chandler cheat on Monica. Though this storyline went so far as to write the script and cast an actress, Matthew Perry refused to let it happen, saving his character and one of the show’s most beloved couples. Friends would look very different without Perry having stepped in to stop this mistake, proving how well he knew and cared about his character.
Matthew Perry Stopped ‘Friends’ from Giving Chandler an Infidelity Storyline
With so many seasons together, there are plenty of places that this idea could fit in. But as it happens, the storyline was going to appear fairly early in their relationship, in the two-part Season 5 finale, “The One in Vegas.” In the episode fans saw, Monica and Chandler spend much of the time arguing about her recent run-in with her ex, Richard (Tom Selleck), but they eventually make up and consider eloping. However, Lisa Cash, who was cast as the woman Chandler cheats with, revealed that the story they rehearsed was dramatically different. Following their argument, Chandler ordered room service and hit it off with the employee, which devolved into him cheating on Monica.
Yet, this story never reached the audience. Cash explained that the day before they were supposed to shoot this storyline in front of a live audience, she was approached with changes that wrote out her character in favor of the Monica and Chandler story that fans know. The changes were Perry’s idea. As Cash explains, “I was told that Perry went to the writers and said the audience would never forgive [Chandler] for cheating on Monica.” This bold move by Perry ultimately saved Monica and Chandler’s relationship. Meanwhile, Cash was given a different role, appearing as the fight attendant in Ross and Rachel’s storyline. This character may not be quite as memorable, yet it saved her from becoming a character fans dislike, like Emily (Helen Baxendale) or Kathy (Paget Brewster).
Matthew Perry Saved Chandler’s Character in ‘Friends’
This story not only demonstrates the influence Perry and the rest of the Friends cast held but also proves how well he knew what the character needed. He was absolutely right that the audience wouldn’t forgive Chandler if this storyline had gone through. It’s not that the character was perfect. After all, he makes mistakes throughout the series, like kissing Joey’s girl or treating Janice (Maggie Wheeler) terribly, but this would be too far. Having Chandler cheat on Monica would ruin his character, especially when the argument in this storyline is already ridiculous. Had Perry not stepped in, this storyline would have become a lasting stain on Chandler, making it harder to enjoy his sarcastic comic relief.
Yet Perry saved more than his own character, because this storyline would have destroyed Chandler and Monica’s relationship. Their romance may not have been planned from the beginning, but it is easily the best relationship in the series. At best, this would have been an interruption they needed to work through, resulting in an on-and-off relationship, which Friends already had in Ross and Rachel. Yet, even if it didn’t change their ending, this would have been unnecessary drama. The better choice is what the show actually ended up doing, which is easing the characters into moving in together finally, rather than becoming a setback. Ultimately, the change allowed Chandler to remain a lovable member of the group and maintained the relationship between the characters, which became a permanent fixture in the second half of the series. Without Perry’s dedication, Friends would be a very different show.

‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Is Returning in a Brand-New Way
One of Netflix‘s biggest fantasy films is making an epic comeback ahead of its upcoming sequel. This movie not only broke many records, but also became Netflix’s most-streamed movie of all time, and a world tour is in the works following its success. Now, the title is making an appearance once more through a new merch line.
Following KPop Demon Hunters‘ success since its streaming debut, the franchise has found many ways to milk its popularity. The first was a series of Funko Pop figures released this year. Following that were Mattel dolls and official Netflix merch on the Netflix site, including lightsticks. Later this year, LEGO will release its KPop Demon Hunter set featuring Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird. And it’s not just toys that KPop Demon Hunters is expanding its presence towards.
Penguin Random House has announced that it will be releasing a comic book set titled KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set. Scheduled to come out before the end of the year, this 704-page box set was described as the “ultimate collector’s item” for KPop Demon Hunters fans for a listed price of $60. This set will transform the 95-minute feature into a comic book. The set will also feature lyrics from the full soundtrack (including “Hunter’s Mantra” and “Jinu’s Lament,” tracks from the film that were only included in the soundtrack’s deluxe version), two foldout posters of HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys, holographic foil slipcase, two paperback volumes with French flaps, two unique foil-stamped book covers, and a unified spine design showing Rumi’s two sides.
‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Achieves a New Netflix Record
KPop Demon Hunters is an animated film that follows an all-female K-pop idol group called HUNTR/X, which consist of Rumi (Arden Cho/Ejae), Mira (May Hong/Audrey Nuna), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo/Rei Ami), who are secretly demon hunters, and their singing voices create a magical barrier called the Honmoon, which prevents demons from entering the human world to steal souls. To combat them, the Demon King, Gwi-Ma (Lee Byung-hun), agrees to follow Jinu’s (Ahn Hyo-seop/Andrew Choi) plan to form a Demon boy band called the Saja Boys and use the fans against the demon hunters.
Since its release, KPop Demon Hunters has become a viral success, earning major awards and numerous streaming numbers for both the film and the soundtrack. A year has passed, and Netflix has revealed that KPop Demon Hunters has set a record first on the platform, becoming the first film to enter the official Top 10 Movie charts worldwide for an entire year. Additionally, especially now that a sequel has been greenlit, KPop Demon Hunters has begun its first step to maintain its place for a second year in a row. Whether that 2-year streak can be achieved is something only time will tell.
KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set will be released on November 3, 2026. In the meantime, KPop Demon Hunters is available to stream on Netflix. Follow Collider for more updates.

Critics Question MacKenzie Scott’s $7B Megagifts
MacKenzie Scott is redefining what philanthropic efforts in the U.S. mean after accounting for one-third of the country’s total megagift donations last year.
However, some Americans have piled on her, claiming her efforts do not make enough of a difference in the lives of average citizens for several reasons.
Scott received a massive windfall of about $36 billion following her divorce from Jeff Bezos and has vowed to give away the fortune “until the safe is empty.”
MacKenzie Scott has made headlines for her dedication to charitable giving following her split from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Scott’s charitable giving accounted for an astonishing one-third of all “megagift” donations made across the United States last year, according to annual philanthropy tracking data.
Citing data from Giving USA and the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Fortune reported that total megagifts to charity reached a whopping $19.2 billion, with Bezos’ ex-wife contributing about $7 billion.
Other major donors included former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffett, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
Mackenzie Scott Vowed To Give Until The ‘Safe Is Empty’
The feat brings Scott’s total charitable donations over the last five years to a mouth-watering $26.2 billion.
“It was a positive year for charitable giving, with virtually all categories of recipient organizations achieving solid or better growth at the aggregate level,” Giving USA Foundation Vice Chair Gabe Cooper told Fortune while discussing the astronomical growth in megagifts.
Scott has been on a charity spree since her 2019 split from Bezos. The pair met in 1992 while working at D.E. Shaw, a New York hedge fund, and got married after three months of dating.
As part of their divorce settlement, she received about $35.6 billion in Amazon stock and became one of the wealthiest women in the world.
She has since founded Yield Giving, through which she carries out most of her philanthropic efforts after pledging to give away her fortune “until the safe is empty.”
“My approach to philanthropy will continue to be thoughtful. It will take time and effort and care. But I won’t wait,” she wrote in 2019.
Critics Question Who Mackenzie Scott’s Giving Really Helps

Despite her generous efforts, several social media users still think Scott is going about it the wrong way, with some claiming her donations do not directly impact average citizens.
“Giving it to non-profits and colleges really doesn’t help the average person…it’s just her way and every other philanthropist to get their name on a building…PERIOD!!!” an X user wrote.
“She’ll be lucky if half the money she gave actually goes to the cause versus ‘overhead,’” someone else wrote. “Most NGOs’ expenses are on bloated salaries, real estate, & ineffective programs with ZERO public accountability. Giving is better than receiving, which explains why NGO executives are so happy.”
A third user said, “When over $19.2B is donated per year, we’d better see some meaningful and sustainable POSITIVE life-altering changes. Otherwise, why are working class Americans compounding these donations with many Billions more, and the global needs issues continue rising?”
Jeff Bezos Faced Affair Claims After Split

Bezos announced their divorce in a Jan. 9, 2019, tweet, saying that after a “long period of loving exploration and trial separation,” they had decided to go their separate ways.
However, reports were rife at the time that he cheated on Scott with his now-wife, Lauren Sanchez.
According to the New York Post, Amazon executives suspected his marriage to Scott was about to fall apart as early as 2018, when he developed an unusual interest in helicopters, a mode of transportation he reportedly did not like.
In his book, “Amazon Unbound: Jeff Bezos and the Invention of a Global Empire,” Brad Stone noted that company executives were “perplexed” when they noticed budget charges for Sánchez’s aviation company, Black Ops, which Bezos had hired to film a test flight for a Blue Origin gig.
“It was another unfathomable shift to contemplate because as they all knew, Jeff Bezos hated helicopters,” Stone wrote.
Helicopter Plans Fueled Bezos Affair Suspicions

Their alleged affair was later revealed by the National Enquirer, even though the usually guarded Bezos continued to project a united front in his then-marriage.
Stone wrote in his book that executives were worried about how distracted Bezos had become and how increasingly hard he was to locate.
What reportedly gave the alleged affair away was his surprising interest in helicopters. According to Stone, Bezos’ holding company not only purchased one, but plans to include a helipad at a second headquarters in Long Island, “came right from the top.”
“Just to set the record straight, I did have a relationship with this woman,” Bezos reportedly told his top executives in an effort to come clean and get ahead of the news outlet’s revelations, which included leaked photos and steamy texts. “But the story is completely wrong and out of order… All of this is very distracting, so thank you for being focused on the business.”

One of the Greatest Westerns of the 21st Century Will Finally Be Free To Watch This Week
A host of classic Westerns are heading to Pluto TV soon in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Among these movies are the landmark titles High Noon, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and Once Upon a Time in the West. There is, however, also room for a more contemporary Western gem. The movie in question often ranks among the genre’s best examples of the last two decades, along with Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained and perhaps a couple of other titles. Westerns had a bit of a rough run in the 1990s and after the turn of the century, but the genre is witnessing a resurgence thanks, in part, to the success of Taylor Sheridan‘s sprawling work on television. Sheridan’s run began in the mid-2000s, a few years after the Coen Brothers delivered the critical and commercial hit True Grit.
They made it a point to tell audiences that the movie was an adaptation of Charles Portis‘ novel, and not a remake of the 1969 movie starring John Wayne. Their version was headlined by Jeff Bridges as the alcoholic lawman Rooster Cogburn, who agrees to track down a murderer for a teenage girl named Mattie Ross, played by Hailee Steinfeld in a career-defining debut performance. They were joined by Matt Damon, who played the memorable Texas ranger LaBoeuf, and Josh Brolin as the murderer. True Grit opened to excellent reviews and received 10 nominations at the Oscars, including in the Best Picture category. Bridges and Steinfeld also earned nods for their performances.
When To Watch ‘True Grit’ for Free
The movie now holds a “Certified Fresh” 95% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Girded by strong performances from Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, and lifted by some of the Coens’ most finely tuned, unaffected work, True Grit is a worthy companion to the Charles Portis book.” True Grit was also a major box-office success, grossing more than $250 million worldwide against a reported budget of $35 million. Only a few years later, Bridges starred in the Sheridan-penned neo-Western Hell or High Water, which earned him another Oscar nomination. True Grit will be made available to stream for free on the Pluto TV service in July. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

The Wait Is Almost Over for Disney’s Biggest Summer Blockbuster
Disney’s live-action remakes have been struck by a bout of declining returns, and the pressure is on for the studio’s upcoming movie to perform. If there were a safer bet, this would be it. However, there’s no telling how audiences will react to what they’re presented with next month. In the last few years, Disney has seen its pipeline of live-action remakes be infected by poisonous rhetoric, usually surrounding themes and casting choices. While the Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast remakes were able to gross more than $1 billion each at the global box office, the more recent The Little Mermaid and Snow White remakes weren’t as successful. The latter movie grossed just over $200 million worldwide against a reported budget of $336 million.
Now it’s the turn of Disney’s live-action Moana remake to steady the ship. The movie comes only a decade after the original animated release scored terrific reviews and grossed nearly $700 million worldwide. Featuring Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho, the original Moana was nominated in the Best Animated Feature category at the Oscars, and now holds a “Certified Fresh” 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The aggregator website’s consensus reads, “With a title character as three-dimensional as its lush animation and a story that adds fresh depth to Disney’s time-tested formula, Moana is truly a family-friendly adventure for the ages.”
Here’s When To Watch Disney’s Live-Action ‘Moana’ Remake
The original Moana became a streaming sensation on Disney+, prompting the studio to put together a direct sequel. Moana 2 was released theatrically in 2024; the movie was an even bigger box-office hit than the first installment, grossing more than $1 billion worldwide. The live-action remake has been directed by Thomas Kail, a theater director best known for his work with Lin-Manuel Miranda. While Johnson is back as Maui and Miranda is back with new original songs, the titular character will be played by Catherine Laga’aia. The live-action Moana is slated for a July 10 release, one week before Universal debuts Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey, and three weeks before Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Taylor Swift’s Reason For Ditching Coastal Rhode Island Wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly made big plans to get married at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
However, the power couple is said to have been initially interested in having a coastal wedding in Rhode Island, which was set for June 13, before having to change plans.
Now, insiders are revealing the real reason behind their pivot, as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s new wedding day, July 3, draws near.

Sources shared with Us Weekly that Swift and Kelce had to ditch plans to get married in Rhode Island due to security concerns.
According to the news outlet, the duo had fallen in love with the environment and wanted a coastal wedding. But due to the scale of the ceremony they had in mind, and media attention, they had to pivot to MSG.
“Taylor and Travis really wanted their wedding in Rhode Island, and June 13 was the date, but security wouldn’t have worked because it could get out of hand with that kind of scale of an event,” an insider says.
“Taylor and Travis really wanted their wedding in Rhode Island, and June 13 was the date, but security wouldn’t have worked because it could get out of hand with that kind of scale of an event,” an insider told the publication.
The source further noted that although Swift initially planned the event in Rhode Island, where she owns a mansion in Westerly’s Watch Hill neighborhood, she ultimately booked several alternative venues across the country for different dates.
“Ocean House [in Westerly] was planned at one point, and then plans changed to New York,” the insider said.
Rhode Island Was ‘Difficult’ To Keep Secure For The Couple’s Wedding, As ‘So Many People Wanted To Come’

Speaking more about the couple’s wedding, the source shared that the nature of Rhode Island posed a security risk for Swift and Kelce.
“Rhode Island wasn’t great because the nature of the access and the perimeters were too difficult to secure,” the insider said. “So the main issue with Rhode Island ended up being security.”
They continued, “Everything was being planned in Rhode Island, and so many people wanted to come that plans had to change because it became bigger.”
With Rhode Island out of the picture, Swift and Kelce will reportedly be getting married at MSG, which the singer is said to have booked for July 2 to July 4, with her wedding date scheduled for July 3.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Hinted At Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Wedding

Although Swift and Kelce have yet to share details about their upcoming nuptials officially, there have been several hints that it is bound to happen at Madison Square Garden in early July.
One of the biggest hints came from the Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, who mentioned the couple’s wedding while speaking about keeping the city safe, especially amid ongoing events, like the World Cup.
He said, “I am fully confident in the work of the NYPD, as well as our state partners, in delivering that safe experience.”
“We are the biggest city in the country,” he continued. “We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for the [World Cup]. We know it coincides with the Knicks’ [NBA] Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time — and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
Travis Kelce’s NFL Colleague Spoke About The Upcoming Wedding And Gift Requests

Another confirmation of Kelce and Swift’s upcoming nuptials came from San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who revealed he would be attending the couple’s wedding during an interview with ExtraTV.
Kittle, however, dropped a surprising detail about Swift and Kelce’s wedding by sharing that they asked their guests not to give them any gifts.
According to the football player, the couple said they want “absolutely no gifts,” but he has no intention of fulfilling their request as he intends to come with something “expensive.”
“I was thinking, Travis, for some reason, likes old coins,” Kittle told the media outlet. “So I might get him an old coin. Sounds expensive, too.”
Kittle also advised the lovebirds to “have so much fun with all your friends” on their wedding day.
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Came Under Fire Over Permit Request To Shut Down NYC Streets

Swift and Kelce’s NYC wedding at MSG has put them under severe scrutiny, especially from business owners who fear their activities would be disrupted by the upcoming ceremony.
Criticism of the couple’s nuptials escalated after it was revealed that they had requested permission to close streets around Madison Square Garden during their wedding period.
It led to a wave of backlash online, with many blasting the couple as “tacky” and accusing them of being “selfish” for not taking business owners in the area into consideration.
However, Swift and Kelce also received support from fans who noted that security was a major issue for the couple, and this would ensure there would be no disruptions on their big day.

Taylor Swift Biggest Hits At Risk After Shock Catalog Sale
Taylor Swift is reportedly at risk of losing control of some of her hit songs following a major business move in the music industry.
A new publishing deal involving her longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback has raised questions about the future use of some songs connected to the pop star’s catalog.
The developments come as Taylor Swift prepares to tie the knot to NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.

Taylor Swift’s music catalog is back in the spotlight following a major publishing deal involving longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback.
The acclaimed songwriting duo, along with their Wolf Cousins collective, recently entered a partnership with investment firm HarbourView Equity Partners, sparking questions about whether the arrangement could impact some of Swift’s most recognizable songs.
Entertainment attorney Bradfield Biggers told Page Six that the transaction does not appear to affect Swift’s ownership of her master recordings. However, depending on the exact rights included in the deal, HarbourView could gain influence over certain uses of compositions connected to Martin, Shellback, and other Wolf Cousins writers.
According to Biggers, this could become relevant in situations where permission is required for both a song’s recording and its underlying composition, such as film and television placements, advertising campaigns, social media projects, and other licensing opportunities.
Among the Swift tracks reportedly linked to the catalog acquisition are “Style” from her 2014 album “1989” and “…Ready for It?” from 2017’s “Reputation.” The deal does not reportedly cover every Swift song associated with Wolf Cousins.
HarbourView’s New Deal Connects Firm To Songs Tied To Taylor Swift

While Biggers stressed that HarbourView should not be viewed as part of Swift’s inner business circle, he noted that by “acquiring interests in songs that are closely tied to Swift’s catalog and cultural legacy, HarbourView is now economically connected to an important part of her ecosystem.”
As Swift’s influence and commercial value continue to grow, the songs included in the acquisition could become increasingly valuable assets.
Sources cited by Variety estimated the agreement was worth a low nine-figure sum, although HarbourView has not publicly disclosed financial details.
In a statement, HarbourView CEO Sherrese Clarke described Martin and Shellback as some of the most influential hitmakers in modern music, adding that Wolf Cousins has “built an extraordinary creative ecosystem spanning generations and genres.” He added: “We are proud to partner with them and help steward the legacy of this remarkable catalog.”
Founded in the 2010s by Martin and Shellback, Wolf Cousins includes a roster of prominent songwriters and producers, including Ilya Salmanzadeh, Oscar Holter, Tove Lo, and Ludvig Söderberg. The catalog reportedly features major hits recorded by artists such as Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Imagine Dragons, Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo, and DNCE.
Taylor Swift Reflects On Emotional Victory After Buying Back Her Masters

The development comes years after Swift’s highly publicized battle over ownership of her early recordings.
Her first six studio albums were originally controlled by Big Machine Records before the label was sold to Scooter Braun in 2019. The “Shake It Off” artist publicly opposed the transaction, saying she was not given a fair opportunity to purchase her masters.
After Braun later sold those recordings to Shamrock Capital, Swift launched her “Taylor’s Version” re-recording project in an effort to regain control of her work.
In May 2025, the singer, who is said to be now worth $2 billion, announced that she had successfully reacquired ownership of her masters, calling the moment an emotional milestone in her career.
“I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found that this is really happening,” she said at the time. “I really get to say those words. All of the music I’ve ever made … now belongs… to me.”
The Singer Pays Emotional Tribute To Alan Jackson During Farewell Concert

Meanwhile, Swift recently took time to honor one of her country music influences, Alan Jackson, during his farewell concert in Nashville.
In a pre-recorded video played during Jackson’s “Last Call: One More for the Road — The Finale” show on June 27, the mega popstar thanked the singer for his decades of songwriting and performances, praising the impact his music has had on generations of fans.
The pop superstar also singled out Jackson’s hit song “Drive” as her personal favorite, explaining that its vivid storytelling and personal details left a lasting impression on her as a young artist.
Swift said Jackson’s willingness to share pieces of his life through music helped shape her understanding of songwriting and the artist-fan connection.
She continued, “I appreciate you so much for the ways that you have treated me and other artists and writers with just such support and encouragement over the years, and I’m so excited for you doing this show, and just appreciate you so much. Love you!”
Taylor Swift Is Set To Wed Travis Kelce At Madison Square Garden

Amid reports about her music catalog, Swift seems to have more pressing matters at hand: her wedding to Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce.
The power couple, who have been dating for almost three years now, will reportedly tie the knot in New York City at Madison Square Garden.
According to news outlets, Swift and Kelce have already made moves to secure the venue for July 2 through July 4, with their wedding date expected to be on July 3.
While it has yet to be confirmed how the ceremony will play out at such a massive location, reports claim the pair might have a more secret and intimate wedding for themselves, before going on to celebrate their nuptials at MSG.
Swift and Kelce have also filed for permits to shut down streets around the garden, which has caused them to face heavy backlash from people online and small business owners.
