Chris Rock Pitches White Slavery Show to Taylor Sheridan
Chris Rock pitched a “white slavery show” as the latest spinoff in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe.
“Hey, if Taylor Sheridan’s got a job for me, I will take that job,” Rock, 61, told Variety in a recent interview. “I could be the Black guy on Yellowstone, no problem.”
The comedian joked about possible ideas he could bring to the table.
“I could just be the Black guy that owns some land and has, like, white slaves,” he quipped. “Taylor Sheridan, let’s do the white slavery show! I’m the guy!”
Sheridan, 56, got his start as an actor before writing scripts for movies including Sicario, Hell or High Water and Wind River. His focus later shifted to the small screen, which is how Yellowstone was born. The hit series aired from 2018 to 2024 as viewers tuned in for updates on the fictional Dutton family.
As the Yellowstone universe expanded with spinoffs such as 1883 and 1923, Sheridan also created original shows Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness and Tulsa King.

“Because Paramount trusts me and gives me the time to go shoot 10 to 14 days for a television episode, we can treat it like a movie, and it looks like a movie,” Sheridan told Deadline of his production process in January 2022. “We can take the time to rehearse it and light it and build these set pieces. And if I call them and say, ‘I need two helicopters in one day,’ they just go, ‘Alright.’”
He added: “At the end of the day, to go to some of these locations where most people have never been, where you’re opening up a new world, and all of these places or characters in the story, to me, it’s fascinating.”
Sheridan has scored major A-list actors for his shows — from Kevin Costner and Harrison Ford to Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore. Others have publicly pitched themselves for the opportunity to work with the producer.
Tom Selleck previously showed his interest, telling Parade in December 2024, “A good Western’s always on my list. I miss that; I want to sit on a horse again.”
Selleck, 81, also showed support for pal Sam Elliott, saying, “Sam was great in [1883]. Sam’s always great. We go way, way back. I love him dearly. I’d love to work with Sam.”
Meanwhile, Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, dropped a bombshell during season 4 of The Kardashians when he suggested he almost had a role on Yellowstone. In one September 2023 episode, Jenner, 70, recalled her boyfriend’s unexpected connection to the hit series.
“I am so excited to watch the next episode of Yellowstone,” she told Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian. “So they asked Corey to be on Yellowstone. And he said no. I told him to say no. I thought he was going to have a romantic relationship.”
Gamble, 45, noted that he would have said yes to the opportunity, adding, “If it wasn’t for you, I would be a Yellowstone star.”

Adam Wingard Says ‘ThunderCats’ Movie Is “Not Dead,” Reveals New Script Draft
Adam Wingard’s long-in-development ThunderCats movie is still alive, and the filmmaker has revealed that work on a new version of the script took place earlier this year.
While promoting his latest film, Onslaught, Wingard provided an update on the status of the ThunderCats adaptation, which he has been attached to direct for Warner Bros. since 2021.
“My career’s kind of bouncing around, so different things have taken precedence. But [ThunderCats is] still kicking around,” Wingard said. “I think it’s just a matter of finding time to really re-concentrate and re-engage with it.”
More importantly, Wingard revealed that another draft of the screenplay was completed earlier this year before the project was temporarily pushed aside.
“We did a new draft at the beginning of this year. It wasn’t too long ago, and then things got put on hold for this movie [Onslaught],” Wingard explained.
Despite the delay, the director made it clear that his ambitious adaptation has not been abandoned.
ThunderCats Mumm-Ra
“So I don’t really have any exciting updates. But it’s not dead. It lives. It’s just not the number one [thing] I’m working on right now.”
Wingard is developing the film alongside longtime collaborator Simon Barrett. The pair previously worked together on films including The Guest and Godzilla vs. Kong.
The latest comments provide a more concrete update following Wingard’s previous assurances that the project remained in development. In May, Coastal House Media reported on Wingard’s continued plans for the film and his vision of bringing the characters to life through a combination of CGI and live-action filmmaking.
Wingard has previously described ThunderCats as a passion project, having been a fan of the original animated series since childhood.
The filmmaker’s project should also not be confused with the animated ThunderCats feature announced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation earlier this year. That project was revealed during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June.
For now, Wingard’s ThunderCats still has no announced cast or release date, and the director’s comments suggest fans could still have a significant wait ahead of them.
However, confirmation that a new screenplay draft was completed as recently as 2026 offers something ThunderCats fans haven’t had much of in recent years: tangible evidence that work on the project has continued.

Bruce Springsteen Feels ‘Okay’ About ‘Vehement’ Backlash
Bruce Springsteen is standing ten toes behind his recent political commentary.
The iconic musician is addressing the strong opinions surrounding his vocal political stance during his latest concert run, and while his outspokenness has drawn various reactions, he remains unbothered by critics.
While Springsteen’s political stance is undeniably bold, it has come at a price, and the singer has had to “beef” up security during his tour after receiving extensive death threats.

The 77-year-old rock legend is standing firm behind the outspoken themes featured throughout his recent “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour across North America.
Reflecting on the tour in a conversation with Rolling Stone, Springsteen explained that he felt a strong desire to present a specific narrative and message on stage each night.
He acknowledged that his outspoken views provoked fiery pushback from certain concertgoers and critics, then he emphasized that varying reactions are simply part of performing live.
“This was the show I wanted to make, the story I wanted to tell,” he said. “I went out to find its audience, and I’m sure there were people, and I’ve read things where people were vehement about the content of the show, and that’s just the way the chips fall… And that’s okay with me right now.”
Addressing his decades-long career, the artist noted with a sense of humor that his advanced age gives him total freedom to pursue whatever creative vision he chooses. He also pointed out that following his own creative instincts has defined his entire journey in the music industry.
The Musician Stands Firm On Longstanding Social Principles

Despite the continuous pushback regarding his statements, those in the musician’s inner circle emphasize that his core philosophy remains completely unchanged.
According to The Blast, insiders previously revealed that the iconic artist has no intention of toning down his commentary. Instead, they pointed out that public engagement has defined his career since 1978.
While close associates acknowledge that his statements have become significantly more direct in light of recent political developments, they insist his underlying principles haven’t shifted at all.
However, where he once relied on subtle metaphors during live sets, he now addresses current events directly without altering his core values.
“He went from subtle messages about politics to blatantly saying things, but he’s not more political now than he once was,” they stated.
Bruce Springsteen’s Fellow Rock Veterans Questioned His Onstage Advocacy

Springsteen has not only received backlash from his fans, but also from the broader rock community and fellow music icons.
The artist’s outspoken approach sparked dynamic debate among his peers, with prominent musicians challenging the role of personal commentary during live performances, as reported by The Blast.
Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain voiced strong opposition to bringing current events onto the concert stage. He argued that performers should prioritize providing pure entertainment over sharing their personal worldviews.
Notably, Cain’s comments aligned with reservations expressed by Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger regarding the atmosphere at modern rock shows. Jagger clarified that he occasionally incorporates subtle social commentary into his songwriting, but still emphasized that live events should offer fans a complete break from daily anxieties.
Bruce Springsteen Slammed Donald Trump As ‘Reckless’ & ‘Racist’

Despite the continuous criticism, Springsteen has continued to speak up against the current administration. During a spring performance in New York, he addressed the crowd before the music began and voiced support for military personnel stationed in international conflict zones.
He wasted no time saying how he felt about the president, saying, “Our democracy, our constitution, our rule of law, are being challenged right now as never before by a reckless, racist, incompetent, treasonous president and his ship of fools administration.”
The singer then concluded his remarks with a direct call for collective civic action, urging attendees to stand firm against political division, as reported by The Blast.
Bruce Springsteen Enforced Heightened Security Measures Implemented Following Hostile Threats

Shortly before his bold political commentary onstage, reports surfaced, revealing that the singer had to reinforce his security due to the heightened threats.
According to The Blast, E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt disclosed that the deliberate political narrative running through their performances prompted a surge in hostile messages, including targeted death threats directed at members of the group.
As such, the band had to bring in federal authorities to monitor potential risks and ensure audience safety at every stadium stop.
“This tour has been a little bit different because of the high security… It’s a very specific political theme to this tour, and there’s been a lot of threats, death threats. Usually, there’s always some, but this time it’s been increasing,” he revealed.
However, despite the tension and heightened safety protocols, the band remained committed to fulfilling their itinerary without altering the show’s core message.

General Hospital: Jason Walks Out on Britt as Anna Tears the Pair to Pieces
General Hospital has Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) determined to make Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pay for trying to kill her, but Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is certain that Anna wouldn’t have really killed Britt.
This is about to cause some serious discord in Jason and Britt’s relationship, and it could absolutely end them. We are going to talk about General Hospital setting the stage for Jason to call it quits with Britt and it’s all about Anna.
General Hospital: Rocky Road Ahead for Jason & Britt
So, as you know, Jason was there for Britt when she needed him, but that may change soon because you can already see that Jason does not want Anna to get locked up for this incident. And that’s going to cause serious problems between Jason and Britt. Not only is Anna nearly shooting Britt a huge problem for their future, but also some of her recent past with Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is going to be another problem.
An official Fall spoiler for General Hospital says that decisions Britt made to stay alive while under Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for Jason and Britt to survive as a couple. And of course, all the Cullum stuff ties back to both Anna and to Britt. That’s important. So, it absolutely sounds like this situation with Anna will end up tearing Britt and Jason apart.
We can see that Jason is very sympathetic towards Anna because of the PTSD that Ross caused. But does that outweigh the PTSD that Anna just caused Britt? Because she is traumatized. She’s reeling and she wants Anna to pay for trying to kill her. But more so, I think Britt wants Anna locked up because she thinks Anna’s crazy. And I suspect more than anything, Britt’s terrified if Anna’s not locked up, she may come and try to kill her again.
GH: Everyone Piles on Britt
And so Britt’s annoyed with everybody because Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner), Jason, and the others all have unlimited compassion for Anna because they know she’s a good person who has helped a lot of people.
Plus, Anna’s friends and family all know that she went through horrifying trauma because of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Cullum. But they’re not really thinking about the fact that Britt did, too. And yes, Britt has a history of crimes, but Sidwell and Cullum gaslit her into thinking she had Huntington’s, a fatal illness.
And then they blackmailed her by offering her what they said were life-saving drugs, and then threatened her with withholding them. So, Emma was pleading with Britt, please show Anna some compassion. And then Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Felicia also piled on and reminded Britt she’s done bad things that she wasn’t punished for and should show grace. But this aggravated Britt.
General Hospital: Britt is Appalled
She’s flipping out because nobody seems to care. She was legit almost killed by Anna and buried in a shallow grave out in the woods. But Lucas also said Britt makes it hard for people to care about her because she lashes out when people try and help her. And now, of course, she’s doubling down and vowing that Anna will pay for trying to murder her. I think that is her terror talking more than anything. And yes, we have to admit Anna did go through trauma when she was gaslit by Cullum. That was for a few months. Britt was terrorized by them for several years.
And yes, Anna had years of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) trauma in her history, decades of it. But in a way, Britt did too, growing up with Faison as her father and being subjected to his psychotic whims and expectations. Plus, as Britt said today, Anna was going to kill her in punishment for a situation Britt never wanted to be in just because of her awful father, Faison. Britt didn’t choose to be Faison’s daughter. And I tend to think that unfortunately Jason is going to be of the same mindset as everybody else.
Jason Asks Britt to Reconsider on GH
I think that Jason is going to tell Britt she needs to show Anna some grace because of how much grace Britt has been shown over the years. But I think what she really wants is to feel safe. And Jason makes her feel safe. But now he’s changing his tune because he also cares for Anna and wants her safe. And of course, Jason’s going to do all that he can to stop Britt from having Anna arrested or Britt going after Anna herself. Along the way, I think Jason is going to find out from Britt or maybe from the WSB channels that Britt knew more about Anna’s captivity than she’s admitted.
I’m sure from Britt’s perspective, she couldn’t do anything to help Anna because Britt’s life was also at risk. I suspect she knew they had taken Anna and stashed her at Wyndemere, although I doubt Britt knew they were going to ship her off to France or what happened there. But given that Britt was working down in those tunnels, there’s no way that she didn’t know Anna was there.
General Hospital: Jason Horrified by Britt’s Actions
So, Jason’s outlook may be that when Cullum and Sidwell first brought Anna onto Spoon Island, that’s when Britt should have dropped a hint to somebody that Anna was there. You know, she could have helped out. Britt didn’t have to rescue Anna herself. But she could have told Jason because he was still in town when Anna was kidnapped. But Britt was selfishly protecting her own life and didn’t want to rock the boat, so she didn’t say anything. Britt was in a scary spot, so it’s understandable. But it’s not really very brave, you know, kind of cowardly.
And Jason’s point of view may be that Britt did wrong by not helping Anna. And since Britt didn’t help Anna then when she could have, Britt needs to make up for that now by showing compassion and not pressing charges. It may come down to Jason giving Britt basically an ultimatum.

Jason’s Ultimatum on GH
Jason may tell her, “If you pursue this and if you press charges, we’re going to be done.” And knowing Britt’s stubborn temperament, she might tell Jason, “Fine, go ahead. Abandon me like everybody else. It’s what I expect. It’s what I’m used to.” And that circles back to Lucas saying Britt makes it hard for people to care about her. I tend to think Jason ends up in an uncomfortable position and it’s going to come down to who needs him more.
He loves Britt. But in this moment she’s not being very lovable and Jason may get a glimpse of what the future looks like with her because Britt will always be very selfish. So, I think Jason’s going to try and salvage their relationship. But Britt may make it impossible. General Hospital is laying the groundwork for Jason to move on to a new love interest and for Britt to get closer to Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer).
General Hospital: Britt Headed for Romance with Tristan?
So, if you hadn’t heard, General Hospital chemistry tested Dean Geyer with Kelly Thiebaud when he was auditioning. And our leaker told us a while back that Jason and Britt would be splitting up once Jason was back from the WSB. Now, that’s manifesting.
The leaker also said Tristan was going to be Britt’s next love interest. And this week, we’ve got Britt pleading with Jason. And it looks like Britt wants Jason to make a witness statement to the PCPD. Britt says, “You have to help me stop Anna.”
But I absolutely don’t see Jason giving the cops any info that will help put Anna away. Jason doesn’t like to talk to the cops anyway, and without him as a witness, it likely goes nowhere because Britt has zero credibility with anybody.
But based on them having Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) in common, Britt may be able to talk Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) into going out with her to the kill site. But Jason cleaned it all up. He even picked the brass up from where Anna fired her gun. So there’s zero evidence out there. Bottom line, I absolutely do not see Jason and Britt’s relationship surviving this ordeal with Anna.

Young and Restless Next Week: Sally Pleads with Adam & a Hidden Affair Turns Ugly
The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week starting September 14th and also have some good news and bad news about the new writers. We’re going to talk about Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) begging Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and the answer that he gives her when she’s pleading with him about something.
Plus, a secret fling gets even darker. And also in these latest Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of September 14th, we’re going to see more of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) trap that he sets for Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). We’re also gonna talk about Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) because that’s getting steamy. And there’s a dirty trick that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) plays soon.
Young and the Restless: Adam Checks In On Nick
So, at the end of this week, Adam is up visiting Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in rehab after hearing what went down with Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) and her no good, now dead husband, Logan Kirkland (Tommy Walker). So, Nick tells Adam that his goal is to check out of rehab soon. And Nick says by the end of next week he wants to be home. But Adam thinks that is a terrible idea because of course he’s worried Nick isn’t ready and will relapse if he gets out.
But he tells Adam that helping Marie really helped him. And then Adam gets to meet Marie who Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) already have met. And neither of them like Marie at all. Phyllis and Sharon think she is bad for Nick. So, Marie shows up and she overhears that Nick and Adam are talking about her and Adam tells Marie that he hopes that she wants Nick to move past all of this and Marie tells Adam obviously she wants the best for Nick and then asks Adam if she can speak to Nick alone.
Y&R Spoilers: Marie Drops a Bombshell on Nick
So, once Adam leaves, Marie tells Nick that she is grateful for everything that he has done for her. And Marie still can’t believe Nick was going to take the blame for Logan’s death when he doesn’t even really know Marie. And she also tells Nick that what she really came to say was goodbye.
Marie decides she’s moving back East to be near her parents. And she tells Nick that her family will make sure that she stays clean. So, Marie and Nick make a pact to both stay clean. And they shake on it. And then they kiss passionately before Marie runs out of there.
So later, Nick is telling the therapist that he feels sad and wishes he could be happy for Marie. But right now, Nick is even more convinced he needs to get back to life outside of rehab. But I doubt that Marie is gone for good, by the way. I think that she may just be gone for now, but will come back to see Nick very soon.
They didn’t hire Jade Harlow for a run this short. This leads to Adam telling the other Newmans about Nick’s plan to leave rehab. So, Adam tells Victor, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that he’s worried and that Adam thinks it’s too soon.
But Nikki’s optimistic and Victor tells them all Nick is going to need a lot of support when he comes home. But honestly, Adam may be a little distracted by then because of what is coming for him. Because in next week’s The Young and the Restless spoilers, Adam is up at Crimson Lights and he’s talking to Sally and she asks Adam for a favor.
Young and Restless: Sally’s Panicking
Sally is kind of begging and saying it could be a matter of life or death and Adam says he’ll do anything for her. I have a feeling this might have something to do with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Maybe Sally wants Adam to promise her that he and Victor will not go after Billy, at least not until after the baby’s born. When Sally says life or death, maybe she’s referring to the life of her unborn baby. She may worry that chaos and stress could cause complications like with her and Adam’s baby.
I’m sure that Adam will agree, but Victor, he’s a whole other story, and I don’t think he will ever stop going after Billy. And in fact, in the Young and the Restless fall spoilers preview that just came out, it says Adam and Sally continue to find their lives intertwined and that Victor tries to use Nikki to target Jack. Also, next week on The Young and the Restless, after handling family business, it looks like Victoria Newman is back at the motel to meet Kyle Abbott. (Michael Mealor). And this is when things take a literal dark turn. He walks in and the room is dark and he reaches to turn on the light, but Victoria is standing across the room in the bathroom door.
She’s waiting for Kyle and Victoria says, “Don’t.” So, it looks like she wants to canoodle with Kyle in the dark even though they agreed not to hook up again. So, Victoria is back with Kyle and his and Victoria’s steamy affair continues next week. Young and the Restless fall spoilers also say Kyle and Victoria soon realize things between them are more than just casual and they are going to go to great lengths to keep their situationship secret.

Y&R Spoilers: Sparks Fly for Stephanie & Nate
And that will just make things more exciting for Kyle and Victoria because they’re going to keep sneaking around and having that forbidden fruit. You know, they’re not the only ones getting romantic and steamy, though. Next week’s Young and the Restless spoilers also have Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) getting much, much closer. So Stephanie is dancing around with Nate at his apartment and I guess he’s feeling recovered from his surgery because they are kissing and he tells Stephanie whatever this is, it feels real.
Spoilers also say Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) reaction may be a problem though. So, it looks like Stephanie and Nate are on the verge of a real romance and I’m here for it. But Vivica A. Fox is leaving The Young and the Restless for a couple of months to film her new movie, but she promised she was going to be back. So, looks like Stephanie and Nate find some sizzle before she leaves town.
And we’ll see if they write her an exit for, you know, professional reasons like some kind of conference or if they just slide Stephanie and Nate onto the back burner until Vivica’s back to The Young and the Restless to tape. Also, next week, we’re going to see what is next with Jack and Patty now that Jack has collapsed at Society. Now, of course, this collapse is a fake and he’s doing it to try and entrap Patty.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Abbotts Scheme against Patty
I’m guessing they think if Jack seems vulnerable that crazy Patty will come find him, thinking he’s weak. So, this is all part of Jack’s plan he’s cooked up with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Billy and Kyle. They want to trap Patty and get her back behind bars.
So, this danger to Jack and others with Patty on the loose is also going to revive Abbott anger at Victor for bringing her back to Genoa City because that’s one hundred percent on him. And Diane’s just about had it because Jack’s at risk and Victor’s to blame.
But Nikki ran back to Victor and is now leaning on Jack to help her kick off Vibrante. And Diane is tired of all of this. And she’s right that Jack helping Nikki will open a door for Victor to weaponize Vibrante. Jack snapped at Diane about it.
but I bet before too long, Jack is going to have to acknowledge that Diane was right and he was wrong and entangling with Nikki for business reasons was a huge mistake. Be sure to check back tomorrow for our full weekly spoilers video for the week of September fourteenth.
But we also now have this good news and bad news about the new writers. Good news is we have an official air date for when Jayme Giddens and Dan O’Connor’s new co-headwriting material debuts.
The bad news is their story lines aren’t going to kick off until November eleventh. So there is two more months of subpar writing to watch. And by the way, The Young and the Restless Season 54 begins on October 8th.

It’s Officially the End of an Era for Apple TV’s Mind-Melting 3-Part Sci-Fi Series
It’s no secret that Apple TV has become the go-to streaming platform for all the best sci-fi shows. The streamer has found genre-defining hits with shows like Severance and Pluribus, but it also has hidden gems like Foundation and For All Mankind. HBO Max may be the streaming service that first comes to mind when someone asks about prestige dramas, but Apple TV officially has the streaming crown right now when it comes to sci-fi. Another exceptionally popular sci-fi series that’s blossomed under the watchful eye of Apple TV is Invasion, which hails from writers Simon Kinberg and David Weil. The show first premiered in 2021, and it aired new seasons in 2023 and 2025.
Apple TV has yet to publicly announce whether Invasion has been renewed or cancelled. However, right now most fans would agree that it’s leaning in the direction of not returning for Season 4, as it’s been over a year since Season 3 aired. At TIFF this weekend, Collider’s Steve Weintraub recently caught up with Invasion star Shamier Anderson, who plays Trevante Cole in the series, to talk about his new project Call Me Tim. During their conversation, Weintraub asked about the chances of Invasion extending beyond Season 3. “Oh man, three seasons for me was more than enough,” said Anderson. “The scale of that show is so, so gargantuan. We film all over the world. We film for maybe six to eight months, and it’s a lot of work. And so, even with the fact that we could have a second and then a third season, it was such a gift to be able to be Trevante, but ultimately, it’s very taxing — in a beautiful way.”
He continued, highlighting the challenges of flying around the world for months at a time to film the show, “A lot of traveling. There are moments and episodes… If I’m doing Episode 2, I’m shooting Episode 2 in Morocco. Then I got to go on a plane, shoot Episode 5 in London, England. And so, there’s a lot of traveling, and it’s taxing on the body and on the family.”
Is Shamier Anderson Ruling Out ‘Invasion’ Season 4?
Circling back and answering the original question, Anderson wouldn’t officially rule out a return for a potential Invasion Season 4, despite how much it wears on him filming such an intense schedule. He told Collider, “That said, to answer your core question, I never thought it would keep going because of how expensive it is. It’s just an expensive show to make. But I hope they keep making it over and over again because I love the show.”
Weintraub then shared his love for how much Apple TV has accomplished in the last few years in the sci-fi genre, and Anderson doubled down on the sentiment, “Agreed. Shout out Apple!” Weintraub also said that, when watching any Apple TV sci-fi show, it’s almost like you can see the money come through on screen — it’s usually quite clear that Apple TV invests heavily in its sci-fi shows. Anderson closed out by saying, “Oh, it’s Apple. They’ve got money.” This seemingly confirms that, if Invasion doesn’t return for another season, it won’t be for financial reasons.
Check out the first three seasons of Invasion on Apple TV and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of a potential fourth season.

Days of our Lives: Dante Vitali’s Hidden Plot to Bring EJ Down
Days of Our Lives delivers hunky actor Franco LoPresti makes his debut as Dante Vitali on Monday, September 14th. So, just a few days to wait But he may already be plotting against EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Is this a case of secret sibling rivalry? Because we suspect Dante might be a secret son of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) with a vendetta.
Days of our Lives: Sami Shocks Everyone
All right, so late last November, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) announced to Salem and her ex-husbands that she had a new rich Italian fianceé and said his name was Dante Vitali. And of course, jaws dropped when Sami said that last name.
But she reassured everybody that although Dante’s a Vitali and is Ava Vitali‘s (Tamara Braun) cousin, Dante himself has no mafia ties. Or, you know, maybe none that Sami knows about because she’s been tricked by all of her past husbands. I think we just heard from Dante’s soon-to-be stepdaughter, Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh), that Dante’s hosting the high-stakes poker game in Monte Carlo.
So, we should be seeing him in scenes next week with Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Sydney. But the question is whether Dante is really who he says he is. Is it suspicious that he’s the one hosting the poker game that Philip entered trying to save the Kiriakis mansion and to keep Titan Industries afloat and out of EJ’s filthy hands. So, we may also find out Dante is the Italian billionaire who made the offer to Xander Cook Kiriaki (Paul Telfer) to buy the Kiriakis mansion.
EJ after the Kiriakis Mansion on DOOL
We know EJ really wants that house and he was grilling Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) on her finding out who bought it. She gave EJ a name. But I doubt that’s the truth because Rita is clearly in contact with Dante or whoever the mystery man is because she sent that Phoenix ring to them. And Xander has agreed to wait till Philip gets back from his trip to close the deal on the mansion. So, Philip’s really hoping to be the family’s knight in shining armor.
But as the host, we could see Dante somehow rigging the game in Sydney’s favor to make sure Philip can’t save the Kiriakis mansion or Titan because Dante might want them. This may be a significant defeat for Gabi and Philip. And this may be all about Dante getting things that EJ wants. I suspect Dante already has a beef with EJ. And since the mystery man has Stefano DiMera‘s (Joseph Mascolo) picture on his desk, if that is Dante, him being another DiMera offspring makes a lot of sense because think about it, Stefano had so many baby mamas.
Days of our Lives: Stefano’s Many Ladies
There was the unknown woman that he had Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) with. He had Renée DuMonde with Lee DuMonde. And then another unknown woman gave birth to Stefano’s daughter, Megan Hathaway. And of course, Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) mom is the late Stefano’s personal psychic, Celeste Perrault (Be Stefano had a son, Benjy Hawk (Jim Lunsford) by Ellen Hawk. We all know he tricked Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) into conceiving Elvis Jr. Stefano dressed up like an Elvis impersonator for the sole purpose of getting her pregnant.
In addition to liking psychics, Stefano also had a thing for prostitutes. He sired Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) with Meline Peterson Woods. And of course, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) hid her twin sons Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Jake Lambert DiMera (also Brandon Barash) from Stefano for most of their lives, but those were retcon kids. As you know, he adopted Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) as well.
And he adopted and raised Tony DiMera (Thaao Phenglis) as his own after his wife Daphne had an affair with the gardener. So Stefano really got around and he prided himself on having a lot of offspring. So it would be no surprise if he had another secret baby with a Vitali lady as the mom or Stefano impregnated somebody else and the Vitalis adopted the child fathered by Stefano.
Days of our Lives: Stefano’s Secret Heir
This is clearly some sort of retcon kid that they’ve invented. So Days of Our Lives can do absolutely anything with Dante’s character. The man in the Phoenix ring is behind the chess set clues in addition to having a photo of Stefano on his desk. So, there’s a slim chance the ring guy and Dante Vitali aren’t one and the same.
But, I think it’s a long shot based on the timing of upcoming events because he debuts on Monday and all this stuff with the ring is happening simultaneously. So Dante might be playing games with Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) to keep them distracted while Dante focuses on taking everything from EJ.
Clearly Rita’s loyalties have shifted, which is another sign the man in the ring is a secret DiMera because Rita is ride or die for Stefano and his family. The most disturbing speculation is that somehow Stefano had a child with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) because the chess set scavenger hunt was meant for John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena and it might have been intended to lead her to a son she had with Stefano that she had blocked from her memories.

Days of our Lives: Belle May Discover the Truth
So leading Belle to find the man who could be her half brother is almost as good because Marlena would still find out. It would be insane all this time later to give Stefano and Marlena a son. But I put nothing past the Days of Our Lives writers. As you know, nothing is off limits in that writer’s room. And I hope if Dante is that child that Marlena was maybe just a surrogate when she was captive on the island rather than a biological parent to a child of Stefano.
All that aside, if Dante is our mystery man who’s pulling the strings, he’s sure taking a whole lot from EJ because Dante is engaged to Sami, who is EJ’s ex-wife, and he wouldn’t mind having Sami back in his life. EJ and Sami shared two kids, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Sydney, and Dante’s really close to Sydney now. And in fact, Dante might have specifically gone and romanced Sami knowing it would hurt EJ.
Days of our Lives: Dante Targeting EJ
Plus, Dante could be buying the Kiriakis mansion, not only to have a nice big home in Salem. But to stick it to EJ so he can’t get the Kiriakis estate for himself. And the one thing that’s even worse than this for EJ is that Dante could have Rita’s full loyalty as well. And maybe Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton)’s loyalty also.
Rita already lied to EJ and shipped that Phoenix ring off to the man who’s watching EJ, Chad, and Belle on surveillance cameras. I personally cannot wait to hear more about Dante when he shows up on the scene on Monday’s episode. He could very well be one more of Stefano’s many children and ready to make a splash in Salem even before he and Sami say I do.
Days of our Lives: Timing is Off
And also the very timing of Dante showing up now is a huge red flag because Alison Sweeney is not going to be back on Days of Our Lives until summer two thousand twenty-seven. So, not quite a year from now, a little less than that. And that begs the question, why are we getting Sami’s fiancé Dante this far in advance, months and months before she shows up?
We know Sami, Carrie, Lucas, and Will are all coming for a big arc. And according to spoilers, the plot will include a lot of family history. So, we’ll see exactly whose family history it is, because it may tie back to the DiMeras. And I suspect that Sami and her son and her siblings and her ex-husband may all be back for her wedding to Dante or something surrounding her fiancée.
But the real question is how much does Sami actually know about this guy she’s marrying? Because from where we are sitting, if Dante is the man in the ring who’s leaving the clues who’s bought the Kiriakis mansion, it certainly looks like he’s out to destroy EJ, which is a very DiMera thing to do.

Ransom Canyon Is Canceled at Netflix After Season 2
Ransom Canyon‘s run on Netflix has officially come to an end with a shocking cancellation.
News broke on Thursday, September 10, that Netflix chose not to pick up Ransom Canyon for season 3. Deadline reported that the show found itself on the bubble last year but was ultimately renewed for season 2, more than two months after the premiere.
Season 2 was released in July and had a reduced episode order and a cast shakeup. According to the outlet, the second season was creatively better received internally at the streamer. However, Ransom Canyon returned with 4.1 million views for its first week of release, which was down 43 percent from its 2025 premiere week, which brought in 7.2 million views.
The show’s first season remained on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 for four weeks while the second installment was up there for only three weeks.
Based on Jodi Thomas‘ book series about a town that is full of drama, romance and hope, Ransom Canyon, which premiered in April 2025, introduced Us to the locals in Texas Hill Country. Josh Duhamel‘s character, Staten, was grieving two major losses in season 1 while navigating his undeniable connection to childhood friend Quinn (Minka Kelly), who also caught the eye of Staten’s brother-in-law and love triangle rival Davis (Eoin Macken).
There was also Yancy (Jack Schumacher), who had a past he was hiding from Ellie (Marianly Tejada). Viewers found themselves further invested in a love triangle between high school students Lucas (Garrett Wareing), Lauren (Lizzy Greene) and Reid (Andrew Liner).

During the second season, Davis (Macken), his son Reid (Liner) and Davis’ ex-wife Paula Jo (Meta Golding) were all no longer in the show. Their absence was mentioned after they played large roles in the first season of the Netflix series.
Showrunner April Blair later teased her vision for season 3 — including more potential cast shakeups.
“[There will] definitely [be] new faces,” Blair exclusively told Us in July. “I definitely want to learn more about Lucas and Kit’s parents. I feel like we’ve never really talked about that.”

Blair wanted to expand Lucas’ (Wareing) story, adding, “I really want to bring someone new to the canvas so that Lucas can have his own new experience and new love and just someone fun to shake things up.”
Outside of the Russell family, Blair hoped for more musical acts.
“Maybe we bring another version of a musical element to our story. Season 1, we had Charley Crockett performing in Gracie’s. And in season 2, we do this big blowout with the festival and Jordan Davis and Thomas Rhett,” she noted. “And what is a different version of bringing music to our show? Because I think it’s really integral.”
She continued: “Is it bringing someone who is a musician and is a character in the show? Quinn is building this musical mecca basically. She’s got Gracie’s and now she’s going to open the old theater. What does that bring to town and the new elements there?”
Blair hinted that the “possibilities are endless” for season 3.
Ransom Canyon is currently streaming on Netflix.

Bold and the Beautiful: Carter & Steffy Stage a Stand-In to Mask a Stunning Baby Secret
The Bold and the Beautiful excites with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in an absolute panic because she just found out she is pregnant. And of course, she knows there’s a chance the baby is Carter Walton‘s (Lawrence Saint-Victor). So, Steffy is freaking out.
And from here, she should run to Carter so they can figure out what to do. Today we’re going to talk about Steffy’s confirmed pregnancy results and how she and Carter might concoct a shocking surrogacy scheme to save both of their marriages.
Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy’s Got a Bun in the Oven
So, we suspected from the moment Steffy and Carter had their drunken one night stand that Steffy was going to turn up pregnant. Then Steffy put two and two together and realized she had symptoms and could have a bun in the baby oven. And then she smuggled a pregnancy test into their house. Steffy took the test when Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) was out of sight. And as expected, Steffy is pregnant and she is freaking out because there is a chance it’s Carter’s baby.
Steffy at this point is terrified of losing her marriage, losing her family, and losing her best friend. And Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) just happened to mention at dinner she was going to need an egg and a surrogate. So, you can do the math on what is coming. Steffy can offer to donate an egg and to be their surrogate, but it would all be a fake out. But also, it would be a win-win because it would cover up Steffy and Carter’s drunken romp and give Daphne and Carter the family they want so desperately. And it would make Steffy look like she’s doing something amazing instead of looking like the cheater that she is.
Steffy Needs Her Third Paternity Test on B&B
So, let’s talk about how this all could work out. Now, first things first, Steffy likely needs a paternity test to find out if she is carrying Carter’s baby or Finn’s baby. Paternity tests these days can be done as early as seven weeks. So The Bold and the Beautiful may fudge the timeline for an earlier test. Or maybe Steffy uses a diaphragm and that’s her birth control with Finn and she knows she didn’t use it with Carter. In that case, Steffy would know immediately it was Carter’s kid. It seems like it’s just been a couple of days since Carter and Steffy slept together, but time is very fluid on Bold.
One week of episodes can be one day in B&B time and you can tell because they don’t change outfits. Then all of a sudden they’ll say, “Oh, that was three weeks ago when it was just last week on the show.” So unless Steffy knows for certain because of her birth control, they will have to do a DNA test. But the first thing I expect is Steffy runs to Carter in a full-blown panic and says, “Oh my goodness, I’m pregnant.”
Bold and Beautiful: Finn Hits His Breaking Point
The second thing to consider is that the stakes have changed for Steffy. She wanted to come clean to Finn, knowing he’d probably forgive her for a drunken mistake. But turning up pregnant with Carter’s baby is something else. Especially after what happened with Hayes’ pregnancy. Because remember, this would be the second time since Steffy’s been with Finn that she cheated, got pregnant, and then needed a paternity test to find out who’s it was.
When she was pregnant with Hayes, there was a chance Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was the father because Steffy had a one-night stand with him and Finn forgave her. So obviously his forgiveness can’t be boundless, especially after Steffy just tore him apart because Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) sat next to him on a plane, not something he chose. So both Steffy and Carter’s marriages are on the line. They would both be dumped.
Light Bulb Goes Off for Carter on Bold
So when Steffy tells Carter she’s pregnant, that may be when he cooks up an idea. So Carter may be the one to suggest to Steffy that she sit down with him and Daphne, offer to be the egg donor and the surrogate both. That way the cheating would stay hidden and Carter and Daphne would raise the baby, but Steffy would still be in the child’s life to watch them grow up and she may have already been considering donating an egg, so it would be the same biology.
Steffy might be uneasy at first because it would be her baby genetics. You know, she might want to keep it and getting in deeper into this web of lies is bad. But if giving the baby to Carter and Daphne means her family stays together, Steffy may agree but reluctantly. And next, I think she may spill everything to her mom, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), because Steffy’s going to need her mom’s help to pull this off. She’s a doctor and Steffy can’t use Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) to help her because that’s Steffy’s mother-in-law and she needs to keep this secret from Finn.
Bold and the Beautiful: Taylor Commits to Helping Steffy
So, Taylor is the perfect option. And if Steffy brings this to her mom, I don’t think Taylor would like it, but I think she would help Steffy to save her marriage and to keep the family together. And Steffy is definitely going to need a doctor’s help to pull this off because IVF takes time. So, they could lie and say Steffy is at the right point to conceive and she has a frozen egg. That wasn’t brought up for nothing.
So, they may rush this IVF in the next week or so because they need to get this fake surrogacy going to hide the fact that Steffy is already pregnant. And having Taylor on board would be perfect because she could fake records at the hospital or tamper with them because she’s a doctor.
Taylor might even have connections at a fertility clinic and could do paperwork to fake the whole thing, the whole implantation. So Steffy’s mom, you know, might have done therapy for some couples at a fertility clinic and have access that way.

Steffy Keeps Finn in the Dark on B&B
So the next thing is I think Steffy has to keep Finn out of this pregnancy as much as possible and Steffy could tell him it’s not our baby so that would feel weird. Basically she has to make sure Finn doesn’t see her labs and she can’t have him at her appointment or let him see the scans because he might know immediately that the timing is off because IVF wouldn’t move so fast. Steffy could even limit the info the doctor can share because it’s her pregnancy even though it’s an alleged surrogacy. Steffy is still the patient.
So, she can ban the doctor from telling Finn and Daphne specifics on timing of conception or anything that would give away the scheme. And again, this is where Taylor could come in handy because she knows plenty of doctors and she may know one who’s willing to be sketchy. She may find somebody to help Steffy and Carter fake this for a big payday. They could bring back Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech). You know, she would do it for the money. Taylor could also go in and alter test reports and change measurements, even alter the due date.
Ultimately, this is going to blow up in Steffy and Carter’s faces. At some point, everybody will find out Steffy and Carter slept together, and it would be even worse that they cooked up this surrogacy scheme on top of it. I think Finn would be the one to put the pieces together and figure out that the IVF math doesn’t line up. I do suspect it’ll remain secret for a while.
Bold and Beautiful: Finn Figures it Out?!
You know, give Daphne enough time to get excited about welcoming a baby and then Steffy and Carter have months to be eaten up by guilt and to be whispering and acting sketchy. Plus, Finn will wonder why Steffy’s being secretive. And I think something might worry Finn. You know, he may think that something’s off with Steffy’s pregnancy and poke around in the records out of concern, even though it would be unethical since he’s not Steffy’s doctor and doesn’t have permission.
So, Finn may take a look and see that things don’t add up. He may notice that Taylor has been in Steffy’s records making edits because there is a digital trail. And Finn may then confront Taylor, who may freak out, and Finn gets even more suspicious. And Finn may confront Steffy and the stress causes early labor. So, we’ll see. But I fully suspect a surrogacy scheme is coming and I think it could be super, super soapy.

Beyond the Gates: Hayley’s Toxin Misses – Fresh Scheme to Take Out Bill
Beyond the Gates reveals that the poison isn’t doing the job fast enough for little Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings). And if she loses patience, she may need to find another way to take down Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) because she wants him dead right now and things are just not going her way.
Beyond the Gates: Hayley Hatches New Plan
Let’s get into Hayley’s latest scheme. With Randy Parker‘s (Maurice P. Kerry) poison not doing the job, despite him warning her to be patient, Hayley may soon go at this another way, and her new plan to kill Bill could turn very messy, quite literally. We know that Hayley was running low on both poison and patience when she met up with Randy this week to get another refill.
But Hayley’s also clearly peeved that Bill is still alive and she snapped on Randy. She wants to know why the stuff isn’t killing her hubby Bill. So Hayley was giving Randy some serious grief and wants to know why does Bill pass out after a mega dose of poison, but then he pops up again just fine. And Randy was trying to explain to Hayley that the person he gets this deadly concoction from is not a chemist, not a scientist. So, it’s not like you’re buying something from a pharmacy, you know.
Randy’s Freaking Out on BTG
Other than that, Randy was vague on offering any explanation to Hayley why it’s not working. And that could simply be because Randy himself doesn’t know why the poison is taking so long to kill Bill or different batches are more or less toxic. We’ll see. But Randy also has concerns of his own because he thinks Bill’s on to them. And of course, Hayley dismissed any concerns that Bill might suspect her of trying to kill him.
As far as Hayley can see, Bill isn’t smart enough to figure out that Hayley has been playing him. But Randy’s not convinced, and he thinks they are treading into dangerous territory. But Hayley doesn’t want to hear this. She’s only focused on one thing, killing Bill now rather than later and cashing that big old life insurance check. So Hayley wasn’t satisfied when Randy couldn’t give her any answers about the timeline of this poison finally doing its job.
Beyond the Gates: Bill Has the Upper Hand
And now with Bill using his Pacemaker app to keep informed of his heart health, that throws another obstacle in her path. When Hayley asked Bill to give her access to the app, he refused. And again, Bill said Hayley needs to trust him to do the right thing if a problem pops up. She couldn’t change his mind. But as we all know, she doesn’t care about keeping an eye on Bill’s stats for his health.
No, Hayley probably wants to get into the app so that she can delete or finagle any of the data around a future attack. So, you got to give her credit for thinking ahead, but Bill shut her down hard. And since the poison isn’t living up to the results she needs, Hayley might get more impatient and more aggressive and comes up with an alternate plan to kill Bill.
BTG: Hayley’s Ready to Snap
At the same time that Hayley’s about at her breaking point, Bill is getting some help, even if he doesn’t realize it’s life and death help. So, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) just noticed a difference in her father’s train of thought about Hayley and that stunned Naomi and she asked Bill if he has caught Hayley lying to him. Yes, he has. But Bill really didn’t confirm that to Naomi, but she pressed and said she knows Hayley has lied to Bill before.
So first Naomi told Bill that the guy’s name is not Sammy. His name is really Randy and that everybody seems to know that but Bill. And then Naomi told Bill that Hayley never had an ultrasound. And Naomi said that Hayley confessed to her that she got it off the internet. So Bill at this point is reeling because he’s starting to realize that there’s all these lies Hayley has told him and has told others.
They’re all piling up. They cannot be denied. And I don’t think that Bill’s going to tell Naomi that he followed Hayley and saw her with Randy. I think that Bill’s ego is going to prevent him from sharing this info with people that could help him, you know, put the dots together. And instead, I think he’s going to keep looking into Hayley himself because Bill is probably still hoping that he hasn’t been conned.
Beyond the Gates: Hayley Doubles Down
But if he’s pressing and Hayley realizes that Bill’s onto her, she might try and get rid of Bill even faster. But that poison is a problem. It’s only knocking him out for little spells. So if Hayley suspects that Bill has eyes on her, she’s going to need a quick and seamless way to kill Bill. If he goes to anybody else, I do think it would be to Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) because he knows that Joey would keep his secrets and wouldn’t tell anybody.
And with the poison not doing its job fast enough for Hayley, we may see Randy worried about what Hayley will do next to get Bill into that early grave. So the bottom line is Randy is in this up to his neck with Hayley after supplying her with poison and knowing what she’s using it for on Beyond the Gates.
Plus Randy’s plan was to get half of Bill’s life insurance once he died. But Bill keeps not dying and Hayley likely isn’t going to wait much longer. So Randy may worry that Hayley’s going to veer off the original path and that things are going to get even messier. And in the end, Randy doesn’t want to go to prison for her.

Hayley Switches Gears on BTG
And of course, Hayley could just give Bill more and more and more doses of the poison. But instead of waiting for his heart to stop for good, she could help it along. You know, Hayley could wait for Bill to collapse and just smother him with a pillow while he’s passed out on the floor. But Hayley would have to strike while he’s unconscious because Bill is like four, five times her size and a strong guy. And he would easily overpower Hayley if she tried to get physical with Bill. But she may try something else.
You know, Hayley could cut the brake lines on Bill’s car. But that’s kind of iffy because Bill might survive it and then he’d be suspicious of his brakes suddenly going out. Hayley might ask Randy to help her stage an accident. You know, Hayley might even ask Randy to stage a mugging and stab or shoot Bill and steal his watch and run off. Kind of like the thing that she and Lynette set up with her engagement ring. But the thing is, Randy’s not a cold-blooded killer like that.
He’s kind of a scaredy-cat pretending to be more ruthless than he is. But he might have to help her if Hayley gives him no choice. Because she could tell Randy, “Help me finish Bill off because if I go down, you go down with me.” So Hayley will probably insist that Randy has to help her with whatever new plan that she comes up with. And he’s already in fear that Hayley’s going to blow up everything and get them both caught. So Randy may push back hard on Hayley and she might try blackmail. She might try a big bribe.
Beyond the Gates: Hayley Pressures Randy
You know, Hayley could sneak a lump sum out of one of her and Bill’s bank accounts and give it to Randy to incentivize him. Or Hayley could threaten to tell Bill that Randy is her jealous lover and is trying to kill Bill if he doesn’t help her finish the job. So either way, Hayley’s anxious to get the killing done and the poison alone isn’t working fast enough. And with Bill getting up to speed on some of the lies that Hayley’s been telling, things could get really dicey soon.
So Hayley may just have to find another way to do away with Bill. Something a little faster than this on and off again poison. And if Hayley eavesdrops on Bill and hears him talking to Naomi about his suspicions, or if Hayley hears him on a phone call with Joey talking about her, there’s no telling what Hayley might do. She might even just run her car over Bill. But I’m sure Randy will be glad as long as it’s something that doesn’t implicate him.

Pete Davidson Urges Americans to ‘Unite For Good’ On 9/11
Pete Davidson is remembering his late father, Scott Davidson, as the United States marks 25 years since the September 11 attacks.
The comedian was only a child when Scott, a New York City firefighter, died while responding to an attack. More than two decades later, he continues to honor his dad while acknowledging how difficult the anniversary is for him.
This year, however, Pete Davidson is channeling that grief into something positive by encouraging Americans to perform acts of kindness in remembrance of those who lost their lives.

Pete was only seven years old when his father lost his life responding to the September 11 attacks. Now, 25 years later, he is reflecting on Scott not only as his dad but also as a firefighter who devoted himself to helping others.
“He was a firefighter for Ladder 118, Engine 205 in Brooklyn Heights,” Pete recalled in a video for 9/11 Day, per E! News. “My dad loved being a fireman, and he loved saving people, as he did on that day.”
The anniversary remains deeply personal for the former “Saturday Night Live” star. While millions of Americans remember the lives lost during the attacks, September 11 also represents the day Pete’s own life changed forever.
Rather than allowing the milestone to center entirely on grief, Pete has chosen to remember the qualities that defined his father. Scott’s dedication to serving others has become particularly important to how the comedian wants his legacy honored decades later.
As the 25th anniversary approached, Pete began thinking about a tribute that reflected the kind of person his father was. He ultimately partnered with 9/11 Day and its UNIITE For Good campaign, an initiative encouraging people across the country to perform acts of service.
“9/11 is usually a tough day, but this organization, 9/11 Day, does something cool where you do a good deed for someone and you pass it along,” Pete explained. “You try to make the day a little bit lighter.”
Participants can pledge their own act of kindness or receive an idea through the organization. Those gestures can range from reaching out to someone they care about and supporting charities to donating blood or expressing gratitude to first responders.
For Pete, the initiative provides an opportunity to turn an anniversary associated with immense personal loss into something that reflects Scott’s dedication to helping people. “I think my dad would have loved that,” he said.
Pete Davidson Urges Americans To Turn 9/11 Into A Day of Kindness

Pete’s involvement also carries a broader message about how Americans can remember September 11. Beyond honoring those who died, he wants people to recall the unity and compassion that emerged across the country immediately after the attacks.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, people put aside their differences and found ways to support strangers and communities in need. The 9/11 Day campaign hopes to revive that spirit through simple gestures that can make a difference in someone else’s life.
Those wanting to do more can also volunteer within their communities, allowing the anniversary to become an opportunity for service rather than solely a day of mourning.
Pete hopes enough people will participate to create a nationwide display of generosity. His message ultimately comes down to showing up for others in the same spirit that first responders, like his father, did.
“Together, let’s show up for each other. Let’s unite for good,” Pete said, adding, “I think my dad would have loved that.”
The Former ‘SNL’ Star Continues To Keep His Father’s Memory Alive Through His Daughter

Becoming a father has given Pete another deeply personal connection to Scott’s memory. His daughter, Scottie, who was born last December, was named in honor of the firefighter.
Pete explained that Scott was his father’s name while “Scotty” was his nickname. When his daughter arrived, he and her mother, Elsie Hewitt, agreed that Scottie suited her. “It’s nice to keep that name alive,” he said.
Fatherhood has also made this year’s anniversary more emotional, especially because Pete is now 33, the same age his father was when he died.
He admitted in a chat with the New York Post that the milestone feels “extra tough, but also extra beautiful” because he gets to spend the day with his daughter.
Pete Davidson Is Still Figuring Out How Best To Explain The 9/11 Death Of His Dad To His Daughter

Pete has not yet figured out exactly how he will explain Scottie’s grandfather’s death to her, but he knows he has time.
“Luckily, I have some time,” he told The Post. “Honestly, this year is way harder than it’s been in a really long time because I have Scottie, and now I’m the age that my dad was when he died. So I’m just kind of like, ‘Holy sh-t.’”
For now, Scottie’s name serves as a lasting connection between the father Pete lost as a child and the daughter he is now raising himself.
