‘Edge of Tomorrow’ Fans Shouldn’t Miss This 93-Minute Sci-Fi Thriller Before It Leaves Streaming

Published

on

Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski turning off a machine in Edge of Tomorrow.

Over the course of his decades-long career, Jake Gyllenhaal has certainly experienced his ups and downs. While he has appeared in major hits such as Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Day After Tomorrow, he has also had his share of significant underperformers, such as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Ambulance. He was infamously snubbed at the Oscars for his lead performance in the cult classic thriller Nightcrawler, and it has been more than two decades since his sole nomination, for Brokeback Mountain. However, Gyllenhaal has found some success on home video in recent years, with hits such as Road House and The Covenant. Among his rare mainstream hits is a 2011 sci‑fi thriller that has a narrative template similar to the one later used in Edge of Tomorrow, but hasn’t yet developed quite the same fanbase.

The movie in question is currently streaming in the United States on Peacock, but only for a little while longer. It features Gyllenhaal as a soldier who is sent into a virtual recreation of a real-life train bombing, his mission being to uncover who caused it. Every time he fails, the passengers on the train die, and he respawns to play out the eight minutes again. Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffrey Wright round out the film’s solid supporting cast.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Here’s How Long You Have Left to Watch the Time Loop Movie on Peacock

We’re talking, of course, about Source Code, the 2011 time travel thriller directed by Duncan Jones. The filmmaker broke out with the 2009 sci-fi movie Moon, starring Sam Rockwell. Source Code became his first major studio project, produced on a reported budget of $30 million. The film ended up grossing nearly $150 million worldwide. It now holds a “Certified Fresh” 92% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Finding the human story amidst the action, director Duncan Jones and charming Jake Gyllenhaal craft a smart, satisfying sci-fi thriller.” You can watch the movie on Peacock in the United States until September 1, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Bills’ Josh Allen Shares How His Nightly Routine Honors Baby

Published

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, are finding joy in their quiet nightly routine after putting their daughter to bed.

“We’re trying to limit the screens ‘cause if there’s a screen, she’s over there looking,” Allen, 30, revealed during a Friday, August 28, appearance on Mad Dog Sports Radio, when asked about his go-to ways to unwind each evening. “When we know that [her] eyes [are] closed and almost out, me and my wife play the New York Times crossword every night.”

According to Allen, he and the Sinners actress, 29, will also complete The Times’ daily Connections and Wordle puzzles.

“That’s our little routine that we love doing,” he gushed, also sharing his tried-and-true first guess. “It’s harps, H-A-R-P-S.”

Steinfeld announced in April that she recently gave birth to the couple’s first child. They publicly revealed the infant’s name, Harper Haize, months later in June.

“I’m in awe of you. You’ve been here for only a short while now, and somehow it feels as though you’ve always been ours,” Steinfeld wrote in an open letter to her daughter shared via her “Beau Society” newsletter. “There are moments … I still look at you and wonder how you’re real. These last few months have been beautiful and exhausting. Sacred and so special. The longest days and the shortest season all at once.”

Josh Allen can’t wait for the newest member of Bills Mafia to arrive. “I’ve got siblings that have kids, I’ve got a lot of friends that have kids and I don’t know if you can plan too far in advance,” Allen, 29, said in a press conference on Thursday, January 29, when asked about balancing […]

She continued, “People tell you becoming a mother changes everything, but no one tells you how, why, or when exactly. It isn’t always in the big moments. Sometimes it’s realizing that I no longer measure time in months or years, but in ounces, naps missed and naps miraculously taken, in diaper changes and the quiet triumph of a successful transfer from my arms to your crib.”

The Oscar nominee and Allen have been together since 2023, saying “I do” two years later in 2025 before expanding their family. Allen later gushed to Us that welcoming Harper made him “fall in love” with Steinfeld “all over again.”

“Success looks like getting my daughter down, back to sleep at night, It makes everything much less relevant,” Allen exclusively told Us in a July interview. “The outside stuff, it just makes you feel like it doesn’t matter. Honestly, everything about it’s been the best part. I tell this to all my teammates, and anybody who asks, how fatherhood is. It’s the coolest, most rewarding thing. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done. … Seeing [Hailee] as a mother, it’s just, it’s awesome.”

11 Years Later, Anya Taylor-Joy’s Horror Masterpiece Is Officially Streaming for Free

Published

on

01428219_poster_w780.jpg

On December 18, the same release date as the hotly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, Denis Villeneuve‘s acclaimed adaptation of Frank Herbert‘s genius sci-fi story will come to a close. After two of the greatest films of the 21st century, Dune: Part Three will wrap up this epic space opera in explosive fashion, as Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides faces the heavy consequences of his power, two decades after seizing control of the Imperium.

Zendaya‘s rebellious Chani also returns, alongside a stacked cast featuring the Hollywood favorites that hadn’t been snapped up for Avengers: Doomsday. This includes Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Hayt, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides. The movie arguably marks the biggest project yet in Taylor-Joy’s blossoming career, which began with one of the most impressive debut performances of the 21st century so far.

In the 2015 folk horror gem The Witch, Taylor-Joy proved herself as a future Hollywood mainstay with a performance that still ranks as one of her best, despite being just 18 years old. The film didn’t just mark an important debut for the Furiosa star, with The Witch also opening the eyes of the world to the horror directorial prowess of Robert Eggers, who has since made the likes of The Northman, The Lighthouse, and Nosferatu. The film was a massive hit critically, earning several impressive awards, including a directing prize for Eggers from the Sundance Film Festival. 11 years later, you’ll be able to stream The Witch on free streamer Plex, starting September 1, 2026.

Camp Crystal Lake · Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhees

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

  • He moves in straight lines toward his target. He doesn’t strategise, doesn’t adapt, doesn’t outsmart. He simply pursues.
  • Your ability to keep moving, use the environment, and resist the panic that freezes most victims gives you a genuine edge.
  • The Crystal Lake survivors were always the ones who stopped running in circles and started thinking about terrain, water, and distance.
  • You think like that. Which means Jason, for all his indestructibility, would face someone who simply refused to be where he expected.

Haddonfield, Illinois · Halloween

Michael Myers

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

  • But you are paying attention. You notice the shape in the window, the car parked slightly wrong, the silence where there should be sound.
  • Michael’s power lies in the invisibility of ordinary suburbia — the fact that nothing ever looks wrong until it already is.
  • Your spatial awareness and instinct to map every room, every exit, and every shadow before you need them is precisely the quality Laurie Strode had.
  • You are not a victim waiting to happen. You are someone who already suspects something is wrong — and acts on it.

Elm Street · A Nightmare on Elm Street

Freddy Krueger

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

  • You are harder to destabilise than most. You’ve faced uncomfortable truths about yourself and you haven’t looked away.
  • The survivors on Elm Street were always the ones who understood what was happening and chose to face it rather than flee from it.
  • Freddy’s greatest weakness is that his power evaporates in the presence of someone who refuses to give him the fear he feeds on.
  • Your psychological resilience — the ability to stay grounded when reality itself becomes unreliable — is exactly the quality that keeps you alive here.

Derry, Maine · It

Pennywise

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

  • The Losers Club didn’t survive because they were braver than everyone else. They survived because they faced their fears together, and faced them honestly.
  • You ask the questions others avoid. You look directly at what frightens you rather than turning away.
  • That directness — the refusal to let fear fester in the dark — is Pennywise’s worst nightmare.
  • It chose the wrong target when it chose you. You are exactly the kind of person whose fear tastes like nothing at all.

Chicago · Child’s Play

Chucky

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.

  • You don’t have that gap. You take threats seriously regardless of how they present — and you never make the mistake of underestimating something because of its size or appearance.
  • Chucky relies on surprise, on the delay between recognition and response. You close that delay faster than almost anyone.
  • Your instinct to treat every unfamiliar thing with appropriate scepticism — rather than dismissing it because it seems absurd — is the exact quality that keeps you breathing.
  • Against Chucky, not laughing is already winning. You are very good at not laughing.

Anya Taylor-Joy Is Already Part of One of 2026’s Biggest Hits

Before featuring in the hotly anticipated Dune: Part Three, Taylor-Joy can already chalk off 2026 as a success. Earlier this year, she rejoined Chris Pratt and Jack Black in the video game adaptation The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which followed its predecessor in proving a huge box office hit. During its theatrical run, the film made over $1 billion, becoming the first in 2026 to reach this milestone. Of course, several movies have since achieved this feat, most notably Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

You’ll be able to stream The Witch on free streamer Plex, starting September 1, 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for more streaming stories.

It was a violent night in two cities as communities in Chicago and Trenton, New Jersey, woke up to the devastating aftermath of separate shootings. What began as gatherings in each location quickly turned into scenes of chaos, leaving multiple people dead and others injured as authorities work to piece together what happened.

Gunfire Erupts At Chicago Park, Leaving One Dead

In Chicago, gunfire erupted around 11:37 p.m. Saturday inside Washington Park in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the city’s South Side. According to the Chicago Police Department, officers were already at the park attempting to disperse a large gathering when the shooting happened. A 35-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital, where authorities said he later died.

Nine Others Injured As Parkgoers Run For Cover

Police said nine additional people were wounded in the shooting. Among them, five men and four women between the ages of 23 and 45 were being treated at area hospitals. Meanwhile, authorities had not announced any arrests. Additionally, police are investigating the possibility that more than one shooter opened fire. At this time, a motive remains under investigation, and no officers were injured.

One witness, Terry Jones, told ABC Chicago station WLS that he had been attending a picnic in the park when the gunfire began. Jones said he initially thought the sound was fireworks. However, he soon realized what was happening. He described a chaotic scene as people ran and dove for cover.

‘The Simpsons’ Best Homer and Marge Episode Is Still Untouchable 35 Years Later

Published

on

A young Homer and Marge as high school students in The Simpsons Season 2 episode, 'The Way We Was'

In terms of sheer longevity, Marge (Julie Kavner) and Homer (Dan Castellaneta) may have one of the most enduring marriages in television history. The Simpsons has now passed its landmark 800th episode, but the relationship between Homer and Marge has remained at the center of the series since its earliest days. Even as the show has repeatedly reimagined their history, future, and occasionally the very reality they inhabit, its best episodes have always understood that there is genuine affection underneath all the bickering.

That remains true even in 2026, with the Disney+ exclusive “Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition” once again putting their marriage under the microscope as Marge imagines different versions of her imperfect husband. But Season 2’s “The Way We Was” remains the definitive explanation of why Homer and Marge chose each other in the first place, and more than 35 years later, it is still one of The Simpsons’ most romantic episodes.

“The Way We Was” Is One of the Best ‘Simpsons’ Flashback Episodes

Trying to keep track of the fictional timeline of The Simpsons is bound to send any viewer down the rabbit hole. There have been countless changes, contradictions, and other issues with the canon, particularly when Maggie has remained a baby for more than 35 years. Flashback episodes would later become a crutch that The Simpsons would use when it was in need of a quick fix to the story.

However, early flashbacks within the first few seasons of The Simpsons added actual nuance to the characters. These were particularly entertaining because any time Homer or Marge tried to sit down to tell an intimate story, Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and Lisa (Yeardley Smith) would offer enough biting commentary to prevent the story from ever getting too serious. This all begins with “The Way We Was,” where Homer decides to tell his children about his first date with Marge after their television cuts out unexpectedly.

It’s easy to forget that before it became the inspiration for other adult cartoons like Family Guy and American Dad, The Simpsons was intended to be a parody of the “family sitcoms” that had dominated the 1980s. While it was definitely less idealistic in its depiction of small-town life than something like Leave It To Beaver or The Cosby Show, The Simpsons had a degree of heart and sincerity that its later seasons would forget. It’s important that in the very first episode of Season 1, “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire,” Homer is a sad sack trying to provide for his kids on Christmas; the episode ends with him reflecting on his family values. This is carried over into Season 2 when Homer sheds light on a very different time in his relationship with Marge.

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

More than three decades later, The Simpsons is still finding new ways to interrogate that relationship. The 2026 Disney+ exclusive “Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition” revolves around Marge’s frustration with her husband, prompting her to imagine several different versions of Homer who might better suit her. That the series can still build stories around the question of why these two people belong together only makes “The Way We Was” more important: it established the emotional foundation that every subsequent Homer and Marge story has been working from.

“The Way We Was” is a parody of the 1973 film The Way We Were, which starred a young Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand as a couple whose loving relationship declines over time as a result of their political differences. Ironically, this was one of the rare cases in which The Simpsons version of events is actually less cynical than what it’s parodying. “The Way We Was” uses the basic concept of “opposites attract” to examine how Marge and Homer first became attracted to each other when they were in high school. They meet in school detention; Marge gets in trouble for burning a bra at a feminist rally (in a more direct reference to The Way We Were), and Homer has occupied the detention hall for quite some time.

“The Way We Was” Explains How Marge and Homer Fell in Love

A young Homer and Marge as high school students smiling at each other in The Simpsons Season 2 episode, 'The Way We Was'

While later seasons made it feel like Homer was taking his relationship with Marge for granted, he actually has something to prove in “The Way We Was.” Abe (Castellaneta) warns him that he’s aiming too high by trying to date Marge, but Homer defies his father’s taunts and decides to commit himself to improving. He joins the debate team to spend time with her and even fakes his ineptitude in French class so that she can serve as his tutor. The lazy, stupid “jerk Homer” version of the character that emerged later on is completely nonexistent here; Homer is actually working hard to win Marge’s heart and only feigns his lack of intelligence in order to spend more time with her. Homer would later become trademarked by the idea that he was unable to accommodate anyone else, but in “The Way We Was,” he goes out of his way to change his lifestyle because he’s so smitten with Marge.

It would have been easy for The Simpsons to make Marge’s reason for choosing Homer as simple as “he makes me laugh,” but “The Way We Was” gets surprisingly deep. While Marge is initially touched to find Homer crying in the hallway after confessing his love for her, she has already committed herself to her seemingly more suitable suitor, Artie. It’s only at the end when Artie attempts to make a move on her that she realizes that Homer was always the “good guy.” Of course, the episode never risks being too sappy, as Bart is there to feign gagging in classic The Princess Bride-style. While he’s clumsy and at times incoherent, Homer is a good person and has more sincere values than the average high school boy who is simply looking for a short-term relationship. Marge realizes that while Artie’s good looks and seemingly promising future might give her a more stable future, she’s willing to accept one that’s a little more tumultuous with the knowledge that Homer is everything he appears to be.

This is solidified in an ending moment where Homer and Marge’s independent telling of the story coincide. Not only is it the most romantic that the show has ever gotten, but it explains the unique tone that has made it so enduring after such a long time. Homer and Marge are both outsiders defying their parents’ expectations, and as a show, The Simpsons has never fallen within a standard model of either sitcoms or animation. However, The Simpsons was still presenting a version of love, family, and the stories that endure that people could relate to. Even if no one will ever know exactly where Springfield is located, it still feels like a real place.

Sarah Pidgeon knows style. The Love Story actress was spotted in Paris wearing a mockneck mini dress with an effortlessly draped silhouette. Her patent-leather gloved slip-ons featured a crawling vamp, while a slight heel gave Pidgeon an extra boost. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t call out her bag.

Hanging from her shoulder was the “open” Balenciaga Rodeo Bag, tricking the eye into thinking it’s been left ajar (a closer look reveals an internal closure). The designer item has quickly become one of fall’s most sought-after accessories. The only problem? If you’re not looking to splurge, the $4,511 price tag may seem a bit steep. Thankfully, I found an inspired design for just $79.

The messenger bag offers a striking resemblance to the original, boasting a trapezoidal shape, slouchy silhouette and gold-tone closure. Both a crossbody and shoulder strap are included—as well as the signature free-form design created with the help of two separate closures.

This isn’t only a statement piece, but it’s extremely functional. The spacious design fits everything from a laptop to a water bottle and book, leaving extra room for trinkets. Best of all, the bag stays effortlessly chic, no matter what you tuck inside.

Shoppers can’t seem to get enough of the find, with one calling it the “best bag [they’ve] ever gotten from Amazon,” claiming it looks “so expensive.” Another gave it a “top-notch” rating, praising its elegant hue and luxurious hardware. “I’ve fallen in love with it and use it every single day,” they added.

Snatch the luxurious “open bag” inspired by Pidgeon’s style while you still can. It’s sure to go fast.

Scott Wolf Reacts to Ex Kelley Wolf’s Apology After Reunion

Published

on

Scott Wolf subtly shared his support after his estranged wife, Kelley Wolf, issued an emotional apology following their ongoing divorce battle.

After Kelley, 49, shared a lengthy statement via Instagram on Friday, August 28, the Party of Five alum, 58, responded in the comments section.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Scott simply replied.

Kelley’s other famous friends issued their support, as well.

Scott Wolf’s estranged wife, Kelley Wolf, is speaking out about the pair’s ongoing divorce and legal drama. “Wow, I have taken about 100 deep breaths to write this. How do I even start? It’s been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help,” Kelley, […]

“Such powerful and thoughtful and important words. Thank you for your vulnerability. There is healing in that, as you know so well. Love you. ❤️,” Trista Sutter added, while Billy Bush succinctly stated, “Kell … I love you. That’s it.”

Scott and Kelley announced in June 2025 that they had separated after 21 years of marriage. After filing for divorce that month, the Nancy Drew alum was granted temporary sole custody of the pair’s three children while Kelley was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold. Months later, Scott was granted a temporary protective order after Kelley allegedly shared his phone number via social media. (The order was dismissed earlier this year, shortly before the exes reunited for a family outing with their kids in February.)

In her Friday statement, Kelley claimed that she had “no awareness” of her actions.

“I was completely delusional, and it was hitting critical mass,” she alleged on Friday. “After a year of working with incredible doctors, therapists, psychologists and healers, I have an answer.”

Kelley explained that she has since been “diagnosed as breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis.”

“[It] means it had never happened before, and I pray never again — caused by stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications,” she wrote. “A perfect storm. I won’t recount all of the chaos, but what has burdened my soul is my need to say … I am so sorry.”

Elsewhere in her statement, Kelley apologized to Scott directly.

“My husband of 20 years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal,” the life coach stated. “The things I did, said, wrote and posted caused profound harm and were not based in truth or reality, and they caused pain I could never imagine to the people I love the most.”

According to Kelley, she will “never be the same” for allegedly causing her family “enormous pain.”

“[To] Scott and my kids, there won’t be a day that I don’t thank God for you. Causing you pain and being the reason you suffered will haunt me for the rest of my life,” she concluded. “It was my job to protect you, honor you and keep you safe, and I became the cause of your heartbreak. I am sorry. You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in safe harbor. I owe you my life.”

Apple TV’s Newest 8-Episode Crime Thriller Is Putting a Twist on the Heist Formula

Published

on

Jamie Dornan and Jack Kesy in 12 12 12

Heist stories tend to have a predictable structure. You watch a crew assemble, learn the plan, see everything inevitably go wrong, and then spend the final act wondering whether anyone will make it out with the money. Apple TV’s upcoming crime thriller 12 12 12 has a different idea: What if the heist itself was only one part of the story?

Featuring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan in lead roles, 12 12 12 is an eight-part series that revolves around several distinct timelines related to the big robbery. The series revolves around the 12 months of planning for the heist, the 12 hours during which the robbery takes place, and the 12 days after the heist. The show’s structure gives the series plenty of room to explore the preparation and fallout that usually get compressed into a few scenes, while still delivering the elaborate robbery at the center of the story.

What Is Apple TV’s ’12 12 12′ About?

The series follows a disgraced FBI agent, played by Mackie, and an American career criminal, played by Dornan, as they become locked in a cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. Their pursuit eventually converges on a bank vault buried deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

There’s a familiar good-versus-bad setup here, but 12 12 12 appears more curious about the machinery surrounding a heist than simply asking whether the criminals can pull it off. The year leading up to the robbery allows the series to dig into how an operation of this scale comes together, while the hours during the heist can deliver the inevitable pressure-cooker thrills. Then comes the part most heist stories tend to rush through: what happens once the job is over.

Each installment moves between the three timelines, connecting the planning, execution, and aftermath of the same crime. It’s an unusually expansive way to tell a heist story, particularly for a genre that often treats the setup as a means of getting to the big job.

Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan Lead ’12 12 12’s Cast

Mackie and Dornan headline the series, with both actors also serving as executive producers. Mackie plays the disgraced FBI agent chasing Dornan’s criminal across Europe, putting the two at opposite ends of the law while giving the show a central rivalry to build around.

The supporting cast includes Jack Kesy, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, José Garcia, Kali Reis, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and Patrick Fabian, among others. Reis, in particular, arrives with recent genre and prestige-TV experience following roles in True Detective and Mercy. Mackie and Dornan aren’t exactly strangers, either; the pair previously appeared together in the 2019 science-fiction film Synchronic, making 12 12 12 a reunion of sorts. This time, however, they’re on opposite sides of a massive criminal operation.

Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble created 12 12 12 and serve as executive producers. The pair also wrote several episodes, with additional scripts coming from Samantha Corbin-Miller, Joe Murtagh, Jamie Carragher, and Tolula Dada. Kari Skogland is directing the pilot and several episodes and is the executive producer of the project. The director has experience working in a large-scale franchise, having directed several episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier — and has worked with Mackie before.

When Does 12 12 12 Premiere on Apple TV?

12 12 12 premieres globally on Friday, November 13, 2026, with the first two episodes arriving together. After that, Apple TV will release one new episode every Friday. The release dates for the series follow through the holidays, with Episode 3 coming on November 20th, followed by episodes on November 27th, December 4th, December 11th, December 18th, and then December 25th, 2026. The entire series, consisting of eight episodes, will take place over six weeks.

Apple TV has already offered a first look at the series, giving viewers a glimpse of Mackie’s FBI agent and Dornan’s criminal as the elaborate operation takes shape. The footage also reinforces the show’s central concept: This isn’t simply a story about what happens when someone breaks into a vault. It’s about everything that has to happen before the doors open — and everything that happens after they close.

12 12 12 could be one of Apple’s more intriguing crime dramas to close out 2026. The heist may be the hook, but the real experiment is stretching the story around it. By giving the planning and aftermath nearly as much importance as the robbery itself, the series has an opportunity to turn a familiar crime-thriller setup into something considerably more ambitious.

Kacey Musgraves’ Tribute To Dolly Parton Is A Fan ‘Favorite’

Published

on

North American country music singer Kacey Musgraves performs at the Jaguariuna Rodeo

Kacey Musgraves turned a Boston concert into a heartfelt farewell to Dolly Parton just days after her death.

During her “Middle of Nowhere” tour stop in Boston, Musgraves performed the late iconic country singer’s 1977 hit “Here You Come Again.”

Kacey Musgraves has long spoken about Dolly Parton’s influence on her music, style, and approach to being a woman in country music. The country singer had access to Parton’s archives in 2015.

Musgraves appeared in a black shiny jumpsuit and introduced the moment by saying, “I wanna do a favorite song of hers.” Musgraves’ two-song tribute began with “Rainbow,” a song of her own that she dedicated to Parton. She then paired it with “Here You Come Again,” giving the crowd a chance to sing along with one of Parton’s best-known songs.

The performance took place during Musgraves’ Middle of Nowhere Tour stop in Boston. The timing made the tribute especially emotional for fans who were still processing the loss. Fans reacted strongly to the music performance. One person said, “Forever my favorite Dolly song.”

Another fan said, “One of my favorite artists, singing my favorite Dolly song in my favorite city. I’ll never get past losing her.” A fan who was moved by the country singer’s performance begged her to keep the tribute throughout her tour.

The singer’s tribute seems to be everyone’s favorite, making one of the commenters on Instagram compare her to Parton: “She’s our generation’s Dolly,” the fan wrote.

Musgraves Previously Said Parton Was One Of A Kind

Musgraves’ admiration for Parton was already clear years before the latest tribute. In a 2021 interview, she discussed the immense influence Parton had on her as an artist and as a woman. The conversation showed why performing Parton’s music carried such significance after her death.

Musgraves said she loved Parton as a style icon and a businesswoman. She also admired how Parton embraced being a beautiful, sexy woman while remaining proud of her femininity and body. Musgraves praised her for never feeling pressured to shrink her flamboyant personality around the men in the industry.

The singer also recalled Parton’s determination to make her own choices. During the Rolling Stone interview with Alex Morris, Musgraves referenced the story that Parton was reportedly told not to marry on a Friday, only to marry on Saturday anyway.

Musgraves said Parton essentially had the attitude of doing what she wanted and doing it “fabulously,” while building a career that would last into her 70s and beyond.

How The 38-Year-Old Singer Reacted To Her Hero’s Death

Parton’s death made Musgraves’ latest tribute even more emotional. The singer reacted to the news by writing Dolly with a heartbreak emoji. “This really really hurts,” she wrote on X before adding that the world suddenly felt “a lot less sparkly.” She also expressed comfort in the thought of Parton being reunited with her husband, Carl Dean.

Dean died in March 2025, and Musgraves referenced their reunion while mourning Parton. She later asked people not to speak to her that day as she processed the loss. Musgraves once described Parton as one of her heroes and recalled being allowed into her fashion archives in 2015.

The archive contained clothing, jewelry, and shoes Parton had worn since 1967, with each item labeled and photographed. Their history also included the 2019 Grammy tribute honoring Parton. Musgraves and Katy Perry opened that performance with “Here You Come Again,” before Parton joined the other performers for “9 to 5,” as shared by Parade.

Three days after Parton’s death, about a dozen relatives reportedly gathered at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville. They arrived carrying flowers as the family prepared for Parton to be laid to rest beside Dean. The Blast reported that it remained unclear whether the gathering was the official funeral or another private memorial.

Among those seen at the cemetery was Bryan Seaver, Parton’s nephew and longtime head of security. Seaver had announced her death for the family and reportedly coordinated with police and security personnel before greeting relatives. One insider described the cemetery as “crawling with cops,” while an officer reportedly said the family was on its way.

Parton had previously requested a small, private service for immediate family. She was set to rest beside Dean, who died in March 2025 at 82 after their 58-year marriage. Their tomb already carried Parton’s name, while the memorial featured a peaceful mountain landscape inspired by their Tennessee roots.

The couple first met outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat after Parton moved to Nashville at 18. The Blast reported that they married in 1966 and remained together until Dean’s death. Woodlawn Memorial Park is also the final resting place of Dean’s parents, as well as country figures Porter Wagoner and Tammy Wynette.

What Does Dolly Parton Want To Be Remembered For?

Dolly Parton
News Licensing / MEGA

Parton had revealed decades before her death that she wanted her legacy to center on children’s literacy rather than her looks or music. In a 1982 interview with Barbara Walters, she said, “If I’m remembered 100 years from now, I hope it will be not for looks but for books.”

That vision became the Imagination Library, which began in 1995 through the Dollywood Foundation. The program was inspired by her father, Robert Lee Parton Sr., who could not read or write. It initially sent free books to children in Sevier County, Tennessee, before growing into an international literacy program.

The program now sends personalized, age-appropriate books to children from birth through age five across five countries. It has reportedly distributed hundreds of millions of books, while Ireland alone sends more than 1.3 million free books to participating children each month.

The Blast revealed that Parton once recalled how much her father enjoyed seeing children receive the books and call her “The Book Lady.” She later encouraged Imagination Library graduates to dream big, learn everything they could, and care for those who cared for them. Her family has since asked fans to make donations to the Imagination Library instead of sending flowers.

Rest in peace, Dolly Parton!

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen has been arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Allen, 34, was charged with DWI and DWI endangering a person, both of which are misdemeanor charges, on early Sunday, August 30, according to online jail records viewed by ESPN.

Allen, who is currently being held at Indiana’s Marion County Arrestee Processing Center, has not publicly addressed the incident. Us reached out for comment.

“We are aware of the incident involving Keenan Allen last night,” the Colts told ESPN in a statement. “We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”

The Washington Commanders have fired tight ends coach Ben Steele following a June arrest in which he was charged for driving while intoxicated. “We are parting ways with tight ends coach Ben Steele,” the Commanders wrote in a statement shared via X on Monday, July 27. “The team will have no further comment at this […]

Just hours earlier, Allen made his preseason debut with the Colts during their Saturday, August 29, home game against the Detroit Lions. (The Colts ultimately lost 25-16.)

Allen, who spent his first 11 seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers before he was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2024, signed with the Colts earlier this month.

“Definitely looking forward to playing, ready to play and, obviously, Shane [Steichen]‘s my guy,” Allen said in an August 19 press conference, referring to the Colts head coach. “We go way back. So, having that connection and just the familiarity … and being able to come in and plug and play.”

At the time, Allen was looking forward to suiting up with the Indiana team.

“[I can help by] doing what I do, making plays, moving the chains, being there for the quarterbacks,” he said. “Being a veteran, [I am someone that] somebody that can ask questions, look forward to and just kind of show ‘em.”

Allen continued, “Any way I can help the team, [I am] coming in ready to play, making sure I do what I do and let Shane and Danny [Jones, the quarterback] and all those guys figure that out.”

As for his dynamic with coach Steichen, Allen revealed their history extends back to his “rookie year” in the NFL.

“Our relationship goes back, just learning the game with Shane through the coaches that we had and just being able to have similar minds and understand the same type of football,” Allen recalled. “He’s a genius in itself, he knows the ins and outs and, like, the way that he knows the game, I know the game as well. That’s how I was raised in the NFL world, you know, learning that game.”

While teasing his plans with the Colts, the six-time Pro Bowler hinted that he was “definitely ready to go” in time for the 2026-2027 season.

Nicole Kidman is proving to be in touch with her fan base as she gave a huge shoutout to rising Slovakian singer-songwriter Adéla, promising to see her perform live after learning the musician named a song after her.

The Oscar winner has a unique type of relationship with her fans, as she previously distanced herself, saying she doesn’t want to be anyone’s role model.

Kidman has been in the news over her broken marriage to singer Keith Urban but has set her sights on moving on.

Nicole Kidman acknowledged fast-rising singer Adéla, who named a song after her on her upcoming album “PRIMA,” excitedly revealing that she plans to attend her live performance soon.

The surprise moment happened on Wednesday, August 26, at the London premiere of “Practical Magic 2,” where a fan caught Kidman on camera and asked if she knew who Adéla was.

The 59-year-old actress initially looked confused, but as soon as the fan mentioned that Adéla wrote a track titled “Nicole Kidman,” the actress’s face lit up.

“Oh, yes! She is! I do know!” Kidman said with a smile. “I think she’s Slovakian, right? I absolutely know who she is, and she’s coming to Nashville, and I’m going to go see her!”

Adéla Has Epic Reaction To Kidman’s Shoutout

The unexpected endorsement could not have come at a better time for Adéla. The pop artist, who first gained attention as a contestant on the 2023 reality TV show Dream Academy, is gearing up to release her debut album, “PRIMA,” on September 4, per Billboard.

The 11-track project features her breakout Billboard Hot 100 hit “Ain’t in LA,” with “Nicole Kidman” placed as the second track.

She’s currently on her Red Bottoms Tour and is set to perform at The Basement East in Nashville on September 21.

Reports from her Instagram fan page @adeladiary reveal that the 22-year-old singer couldn’t contain her joy upon seeing Kidman’s reaction, commenting, “WOW OH MY GOD NICOLE WOW OH MY GOD HOLY SH-T WOW.”

Kidman has a special kind of relationship with her fans as she makes an effort to constantly distance herself from what they say or do.

Back in 2024, she reacted to fan worries about her weight loss, saying she’s not interested in think pieces and comments from third parties, adding that she doesn’t want to be a role model to anyone.

“I don’t want to be a role model for anyone, I’m not interested in that,” she told Vogue Australia at the time.

The “Babygirl” actress seemingly clapped back at those who “box” her in with “rules and expectations,” saying she doesn’t care about all that.

“I keep a lot of distance between me and what everyone thinks or wants or how I’m meant to behave,” she continued. “I try to keep a shield around me.”

Years ago, the “Big Little Lies” star used to have a no-fan-photo rule to protect her children, Sunday and Faith, whom she shares with now-ex-husband Keith Urban.

During a conversation on TODAY at the time, she explained that she wouldn’t give up any part of her fame but wasn’t conflicted about it and didn’t give in to all the demands fans make.

It was then that she revealed that she doesn’t take pictures with fans when she and her equally famous then-husband are out with their family.

“Our kids don’t understand what we do,” she explained. “So for them, it’s just, ‘Why is this stranger taking a photo of you?’ And it’s very discombobulating for them.”

Kidman and Urban have since gone their separate ways after the “Lioness” actress filed for divorce on September 30, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Reports were rife that she didn’t want to throw in the towel on their marriage, which lasted for 20 years.

In a recent interview with British Vogue, she spoke about approaching the next phase of her life with grace, as things didn’t pan out as she wanted.

“Trying things, making mistakes, failing, getting back up, moving on, embracing love, staying open, keeping the heart open and the possibilities,” she said.

“You make all these plans, and you have all these ideas of what it’s all going to be like, and then it’s…not. You have to adjust. You adapt,” she added.
