Jimmy Kimmel Doubles Down on FCC ‘Threats,’ White House Reacts

Late-Night Hosts React to Jimmy Kimmel Return: Colbert, Fallon

Jimmy Kimmel doubled down on his claim that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) “threatened” his show over an interview with a Democratic Senate candidate, while the White House accused the talk show host of “play-acting.”

Earlier this week, Kimmel, 58, announced that his interview with Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, scheduled for Thursday, September 10, wouldn’t air on ABC but rather on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! YouTube channel. He alleged that the “FCC has threatened me, threatened our show, threatened our network, ABC, our affiliates, our local stations, based on simple traditional editorial decisions, guest bookings, it would seem they don’t like.”

During his monologue on Thursday, Kimmel reiterated those claims, telling his audience, “This interview will not be televised because of threats from the FCC led by [chairman Brendan Carr], who says we do not have the right to interview whichever candidates we want to interview,” seemingly referring to the FCC’s equal-time rule that requires broadcasters to offer equal time to competing political candidates, with some exceptions, including news broadcasts. (Talk shows like Kimmel’s had long worked under the assumption that they were exempt under that exception until the FCC advised otherwise in January.)

“This is yet another attack on free speech, something that has become all too familiar for us at the show, for us in the country,” Kimmel said Thursday.

Stephen Colbert publicly called out his bosses at CBS for banning an upcoming interview from airing on his late-night show. During the Monday, February 16, episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host, 61, called out CBS and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr for not allowing him to speak with Texas State Representative James […]

Earlier on Thursday, the White House responded to Kimmel’s claims that he was “threatened” by the President Donald Trump administration-led FCC. (Us reached out to the FCC for comment on Thursday.)

“Jimmy Kimmel is play-acting — as he often does — to create a false narrative about this administration’s policies,” White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said in a statement, per MS NOW. “Chairman Carr has not threatened him regarding interviewing James Talarico or any other candidate. Any media outlet blindly amplifying Kimmel’s egocentric delusion should insist on proof. Of which they will find none.”

On Wednesday’s program, Kimmel pointed out that “for the whole 20-plus years of our show, I’ve been interviewing Americans who are running for office with no problem at all, just like [David] Letterman did, [Jay] Leno did, Arsenio [Hall]. … I’ve interviewed a lot of political candidates, from Hillary Clinton to Ted Cruz to Donald Trump himself.”

Jimmy Kimmel had choice words for President Donald Trump on his second show back on the air on Wednesday, September 24. During his opening monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the comedian, 57, addressed Trump’s Truth Social post the day earlier, in which the president chastised ABC for lifting Kimmel’s recent suspension. Trump further alluded to […]

He added, “I interviewed Donald Trump when he was running for president in 2015 and at that time, when he was the one sitting next to me, he seemed to have no problem with the idea of talk show hosts interviewing candidates. In fact, he was very eager to come back for another interview, which he did just before he became the [Republican presidential] nominee in 2016. … But for some reason, and I can’t seem to figure out what that reason is, something has changed.”

As promised, Kimmel kept his 21-minute interview with Talarico off the air Thursday night, instead sharing it via YouTube.

Brooks Nader Addresses Topless Display In Front Of Her Dad

Brooks Nader defends her recent bare-chested moment with family in view.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model is addressing the matter a month after she was filmed going completely topless in the presence of her parents, Breaux and Holland Nader, and sister Sarah Jane Nader.

Brooks Nader has come under intense heat since her topless moment made headlines, with netizens slamming her and her father amid raising questions about their relationship.

In a recent interview, Brooks talked about her family’s summer vacation, telling reporters, “I had the time of my freaking life.” She went on to touch on the controversial subject of her topless display during the summer trip, especially in the presence of her dad, Breaux.

Rising to Breaux’s defense, the model said, “He didn’t even notice,” after disclosing that her father is “half blind.” She added that her father did not care that she was not wearing a top as he, in her words, “has selective hearing and selective seeing.”

Brooks reiterated in her conversation with Entertainment Tonight that she was just having the time of her life and enjoying quality time with her family; unbeknownst to her, someone was documenting it.

Brooks may have seen the comments from fans who defended her topless display as part of the European nude beach culture, as she hinted at it in the interview.

“I don’t care if I’m not from Europe; I’m from Louisiana,” she said, adding that she grew up in an all-girl household. Reagan Charleston, jewelry designer and lawyer, clapped back in the comments, writing, “Don’t put that on Louisiana.”

The media personality continued, disclosing that she and her sisters “we’re always naked together,” seemingly to explain why her father was unfazed by her topless moment. Her words were a hard pill for some internet users to swallow, who noted that at whatever age, it was “weird” and “disturbing” to be naked around family.

“Maybe as kids you ran around naked, but not now,” a comment with over 500 likes read. “Grew up in an all-girl household…never ran around topless around family or my dad,” another commenter penned. Nicole Panattoni from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 1 agreed with other users, writing, “That is insanely wild [shocked face emoji].”

While Brooks’ defense did not seem to persuade everyone, she still had supporters who noted that Europeans and certain world tribes go nude. Others stressed that fathers should have no issues seeing their daughters’ bodies without sexualizing them.

The uploaded clip showed the swimsuit model, her sister, and parents relaxing on a boat trip through Sardinia, Italy, on August 9. What drew attention was Brook’s bold outfit choice: no shirt, bra, or top, paired with her white crochet bottoms and jewelry.

The Blast reported that she also went bare-faced with no makeup on while her hair was wet and lay smoothly down her back. She seemed to enjoy her time in the sun while her sister, Sarah Jane, sat on the boat completely engrossed in her phone.

At some point, Breaux came out and sat by his topless daughter as they enjoyed the time together. The criticism started rolling in from there, with a social media user stating, “Being topless in front of your family IS weird wtf are ppl talking about.” Another person quipped, “I’m not hanging out on the water naked with my whole family, including my dad… weird asf.”

Shortly after the topless scene with the Nader fam went viral, Brooks was spotted going out for lunch with friends clad in an outfit that could not keep her nipples in place.

She wore a plunging black sheer dress for her lunch date, during which her breasts repeatedly popped out of the dress, revealing her nipples, as reported by The Blast. This happened while the media personality grabbed a bite with model Jack Lumsden and a group of their friends in Capri.

More than anyone at the table, Lumsden seemed to enjoy the show, wearing bright smiles throughout the meal before going for a swim in the Mediterranean. During the swim, Brooks’s nips slipped out of her dress again while she and the model enjoyed each other’s company, packed with loads of touches and PDA.

Brooks made heads turn at the 2025 ESPYS, walking the red carpet in an elegant white ensemble. In a conversation with Extra, she revealed the top beauty tip that helps her start her day on the right note.

“I would highly recommend just waking up every morning and tanning totally naked,” she said, adding that lying in the sun for a few minutes each morning has great benefits.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model claimed that scientific studies show that if one’s “special parts” get a good dose of daily sunlight, especially at the start of the day, they will have a good day.

Brooks also spoke about a sports icon she would love to be. She disclosed that she loves when a woman can “rip down the slopes,” saying she would love to come back to earth her iconic athlete friend, Lindsay Vonn.

Ghostbusters: Night Shift Reveals First Look as Netflix Brings the Franchise Back to the '90s : Coastal House Media

Who ya gonna call? Apparently, a brand-new team of Ghostbusters.

Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation have officially unveiled the first details for Ghostbusters: Night Shift, an all-new animated series set within the beloved supernatural franchise. Alongside the announcement came the first concept art, a logo reveal, and an official story synopsis that teases a fresh generation of paranormal heroes.

Set in New York City in 1994, the series takes place five years after the events of Ghostbusters II, when the original team famously brought the Statue of Liberty to life to save the city. But while that battle may have ended, a new supernatural threat is just beginning.

According to the official logline:

“A new wave of supernatural terror hits the Big Apple, forcing a group of scrappy, young New Yorkers — untrained, underappreciated, and kinda sorta responsible for the problem — to put on proton packs, face their fears, and bust some ghosts.”

The newly released concept art hints at a darker and more cinematic tone than previous animated entries. One image showcases a massive fiery ghost towering over a lone figure inside an industrial building, while another depicts eerie creatures roaming the streets of New York beneath an orange sunset sky.

The series is being executive produced by Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Amie Karp, and original Ghostbusters star Dan Aykroyd. Reitman and Kenan previously collaborated on Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, helping usher the franchise into a new era while honoring its roots.

Fans have been eager for more animated Ghostbusters adventures ever since The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters aired decades ago. Early reactions online have praised the title Night Shift and the moody art direction, with many hoping the series embraces a slightly darker tone while maintaining the humor the franchise is known for.

Netflix has confirmed that Ghostbusters: Night Shift will premiere exclusively on the streaming service in 2027.

With a 1990s setting, a new generation of ghost hunters, and the backing of several key figures behind the recent films, Ghostbusters: Night Shift may be the franchise’s most exciting animated revival yet.

What do you think of the first look at Ghostbusters: Night Shift? Are you excited to return to the world of Ghostbusters?

Matt Damon’s Legal Thriller Officially Becomes a Must-Watch for ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ Fans

Published

on

01414556_poster_w780.jpg

2026 has been a banner year for Matt Damon so far, but one of the most underrated projects of his career that’s nearly 30 years old has officially scored a new streaming home. While the first of Damon’s 2026 projects that comes to mind for nearly everyone is The Odyssey, and rightfully so, his year in 2026 began much earlier than his Christopher Nolan reunion. Back in January, Damon reunited with his long-time friend and collaborator Ben Affleck for the hit crime thriller, The Rip, which is still one of the most-watched Netflix movies of the year. Damon’s return to prestige filmmaking in The Odyssey is almost certainly going to earn him another Oscar nomination for his performance as Odysseus, and many experts are even predicting that he has a good chance at winning the award.

Matt Damon belongs to the same generation of actors as Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg, but they’ve all had wildly different careers. Damon has never been afraid to take the odd project that may not exactly pan out, either critically or at the box office, but it’s led to him having a much higher career box office total than some of his counterparts. Nearly 30 years ago, all the way back in 1997, Damon starred in an adaptation of the beloved John Grisham novel, The Rainmaker, which grossed only $45 million at the box office against a $40 million budget — a $40 million budget was no small price tag in the late 90s. All these years later, fans can now officially revisit Damon’s The Rainmaker or watch it for the first time on streaming, where it’s found a home on MGM+. With shades of The Lincoln Lawyer and A Few Good Men, the film is perfect for fans who love a gritty legal thriller.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

What Is ‘The Rainmaker’ About?

The official synopsis for The Rainmaker, which holds strong scores of 82% from critics and 78% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, reads as follows: “Struggling new attorney Rudy Baylor (Matt Damon) resorts to working for a shady lawyer (Mickey Rourke), where he meets paralegal Deck Shifflet (Danny DeVito). When the insurance company of Dot Black (Mary Kay Place) refuses her dying son coverage, Baylor and Shifflet team up to fight the corrupt corporation, taking on its callous lawyer (Jon Voight). Meanwhile, Baylor becomes involved with Kelly Riker (Claire Danes), an abused wife, whose husband complicates matters when he confronts Baylor.” The novel has also been adapted into a new series on USA Network, which is returning for Season 2 next month. Netflix’s Flintstones Surge Is the Perfect Warm-Up for Ryan Gosling’s Reboot

Published

on

k7gkf5wa8yz9iyeoylbmfw9pnkp.jpg

A critically panned live-action adaptation of a beloved franchise has caught the attention of streaming audiences. While the feature was poorly received by fans and critics alike, it generated millions at the box office and sparked a prequel movie that was released a few years later. Over 30 years later, it has found a new audience.

Disney isn’t the only media company producing live-action adaptations of its beloved stories. Other studios have been doing it in the past, turning popular cartoons and comics into live-action movies. One example is Scooby-Doo, which entered theaters in 2002 and boasted a then-unknown James Gunn as a screenwriter. The same can be said for most superhero movies before the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DCU were established.

Recently, the 1994 live-action adaptation of The Flintstones found some success on streaming, landing at #3 on Netflix’s Top 10 Kids Movies in the United States, between Shark Tale and Flushed Away. Directed by Brian Levant, The Flintstones follows Fred Flintstone (John Goodman), who lands a new job as an executive at Slate & Co, but only got the job because his friend, Barney Rubble (Rick Moranis), swapped their tests because Fred loaned them money to help adopt their child, Bam-Bam. Little does Fred know that his new role was just a ploy so Slate & Co.’s vice-president, Cliff Vandercave (Kyle MacLachlan), could swindle the company’s fortune and pin the blame on someone else. Since its release, The Flintstones has received a low 23% critics score and a 25% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes; despite its $341.6 million box office gross, its performance led to the creation of a standalone prequel film, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas.

What role would you naturally fall into?
Every universe has archetypes. Which one fits you without trying?

08

What do you ultimately believe about the future?
The answer to this is the clearest window into which universe already lives inside you.

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

‘The Flintstones’ Almost Had A Sequel

Just like the Star Wars movies, The Flintstones almost had a sequel, released years after its prequel. Bedrock was supposed to be an upcoming sequel series that would have starred The Acolyte‘s Manny Jacinto and The Hunger GamesElizabeth Banks, playing Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles respectively. According to the show’s synopsis, Bedrock would take place in the Bronze Age, when the Flintstones and Rubbles face retirement, and their kids have entered adulthood. This prequel series would steer away from live-action, return to its animated roots, and air on Fox. The project was first announced back in 2019, but it was not until 2024 that it was reported that it was no longer in the works but was “open to redevelopment” in the future. However, now a new Flintstones reboot is reportedly in the works, with Ryan Gosling reportedly set to play an adult version of Bamm-Bamm.

The Flintstones is available to stream on Netflix. Follow Collider for more updates.

I often forget that Julianne Moore is in her 60s. The actress seems to have somehow stopped the clock, and I feel like I need to copy her beauty routine so I can age like her. Thankfully, not everything she uses is a splurge. She even opts for a drugstore cleanser that’s ridiculously affordable.

Moore shared her full skincare routine with Vogue, and admittedly, it’s not simple. “My skincare routine has gotten more and more complicated as I get older,” Moore said. However, her cleansing step remains straightforward with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser Fragrance Free. “I travel a lot, so I need to use something I can find all over the world,” she added

Cetaphil isn’t just a standard face wash. It’s become a cult favorite for its sensitive-skin-friendly, fragrance-free formula that effortlessly deep cleans skin — yes, even removing makeup, dirt and grime — without stripping moisture. As we age, our skin struggles to maintain hydration, which is why it’s so important to use a cleanser jam-packed with hydrators. This one is chock full of ‘em.

A good drugstore beauty find is already hard to resist, but a secret sale makes stocking up even more tempting. Jennifer Garner has long been a Neutrogena fan, and right now, some of the brand’s most useful skincare staples are quietly marked down at CVS. Garner has worked with Neutrogena for years, making the affordable […]

Niacinamide, glycerin and panthenol flood your skin as you rinse the day away, keeping your complexion comfortable and soft rather than tight. The full experience feels quite luxe, too: As you lather, it foams a little bit so you get a deep clean and a refreshing sensation.

Is it a little basic? Yes, but shoppers swear that “sometimes basics really are best.” You don’t need the fanciest formula to get glowing skin. “I’ve been using Cetaphil consistently, and I can definitely see why it’s recommended so often,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s gentle, doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or stripped, and it cleanses really well without causing irritation. If you have sensitive skin or just want a simple cleanser that does what it’s supposed to do, this one is worth trying.”

When it comes to cleansers, Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser Fragrance Free is one of the best. And since Moore trusts it — along with thousands of other customers — I absolutely trust it, too. Give your skin a full reset by cleansing with this, and you might never try another face wash.

Busy Philipps Supports Joe Amabile Showing Brain Surgery Scars

Published

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Bachelor in Paradise alum, Joe Amabile, is revealing the physical reality of undergoing brain surgery — and fellow cancer survivor Busy Philipps is showing her support.

Posting via his Instagram on Wednesday, September 9, Joe, 40, shared several close-up photos of his brain surgery staples and healing scar in a carousel of images.

“I feel like my scar is coming along pretty nicely,” he captioned the image.

Philipps, 47, commented on the post to share her support after undergoing her own brain surgery in February after doctors found a tumor.

“Omg it looks so good👏👏👏(lol i won’t text you mine from when it got infected.),” the Dawson’s Creek alum wrote. In response, Joe joked, “Yeah, no need to 😂”

In July, Joe shared via Instagram that doctors had found “a blueberry size lesion” on his brain which appeared to be a tumor during an MRI scan.

The Bachelorette alum underwent brain surgery last month to get the lesion removed and tested. On August 6, Joe revealed that doctors “got it all” after operating on his brain. He was later diagnosed with “an astrocytoma, but it’s very low grade.” (Astrocytoma is a type of tumor found on the brain or spinal cord that starts in cells called astrocytes and may result in headaches, seizures, nausea or changes in mood or behavior, according to the Mayo Clinic.)

Meanwhile, Philipps updated fans on her cancer journey earlier this week.

“I got my six-month scan MRI and … no sign of tumor,” Philipps shared on Tuesday, September 8 via an Instagram video.

The actress revealed in August that she had been diagnosed with a grade 2 oligodendroglioma, a rare slow-growing tumor.

During an interview with People, Philipps said that she was recovering at the time. “I’m grateful that I’m alive,” she told the magazine, which reported that she showed no obvious symptoms ahead of her diagnosis.

Bachelor in Paradise alum Joe Amabile is documenting the next steps of his brain surgery recovery. “How does it feel, Joe?” Joe’s wife, Serena Pitt, asked in a Tuesday, August 18, social media video as doctors removed 23 stitches from his head. Joe, 40, noted in response that the process “feels, kind of, like nothing.” […]

Last month, Philipps said that she reached out to Joe after being alerted to his health journey, which bore many similarities to her own.

“If you’ve been following Joe Amabile … from The Bachelor, he’s been documenting in real time,” Philipps said via her Instagram Story on August 26. “I reached out to him because several of my friends sent me his original post. We have almost the exact same story — prenuvo scan, found this lesion in our brains, almost the exact same kind of tumor. His is slightly different than mine, we know now. I introduced him to my doctors.”

She continued, “He’s like my brain tumor brother. It’s so weird. But he’s been documenting it in real time. His recovery, he’s just a couple weeks out now. He’s going to run the marathon. He’s doing great. Love you Joe.”

BTS perform live at the Good Morning America Concert Series.

BTS returned to Los Angeles for the final four shows of the North American leg of its “Arirang” tour and left SoFi Stadium with more records to its name.

The K-pop group had spent around five months taking the tour across the continent before the California finale, which drew roughly 282,000 die-hard fans.

This brought its North American audience to an estimated 1.92 million across 31 shows.

BTS returned to North America for a tour that marked another milestone for the K-pop group.

The tour lasted five months, with the band performing 31 shows. It took the group to cities such as El Paso, Mexico City, and New York, where eager longtime fans filled the venues.

In total, an estimated 1.92 million fans attended the concerts, according to the group’s agency, BigHit Music.

Drawing 1.92 million fans during a five-month run was not BTS’ only milestone on the North American leg of its tour.

The group also became the first music act to perform eight shows at SoFi Stadium, where it held the final four dates of the run.

Across those four shows, BTS welcomed roughly 282,000 fans to the Los Angeles stadium. Viewers in 177 countries also watched the performances through Weverse, the K-pop fan community platform.

Including attendance from its previous shows in 2021, BTS has now drawn approximately 496,000 fans to SoFi Stadium, setting the highest cumulative attendance for any act at the venue.

BTS fans who visited SoFi Stadium had another reason to celebrate, as the concerts fell on or near the birthdays of members Jungkook and RM.

Jungkook’s birthday fell on September 1, while RM will celebrate his on September 12. Fans serenaded Jungkook at the show on his birthday, while RM got an early celebration on September 6.

The celebrations extended beyond the singing, as fans lit up the stadium in gold and blue. The colors paid homage to Jungkook’s “Golden” and RM’s “Indigo” solo albums.

The group later thanked fans during its closing remarks, reflecting on how quickly the time had passed and expressing hope of staying connected with them wherever they were.

BTS Topples The Rolling Stones’ Monthly Touring Record

During the tour, BTS broke a record previously held by The Rolling Stones.

The group grossed $127.8 million and sold 641,000 tickets across 12 shows between May 2 and May 28.

That total exceeded the record The Rolling Stones set in August 2019 during their No Filter Tour by more than $30 million.

The result made BTS the month’s highest-grossing and best-selling touring act for the second consecutive month.

More significantly, the May figures gave BTS the biggest monthly gross by a group since Billboard’s Top Tours chart began in 2019.

Before the tour, BTS made an impact on streaming platforms when “Arirang” arrived in March.

At the time of its release, the album became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2026 and set a single-day record for a K-pop album.

It earned 110 million filtered streams on its first day and 545 million streams during its first week.

One of its songs, “SWIM,” also reached 100 million Spotify streams in eight days, making it one of the fastest songs to reach the milestone in 2026.

The album had also generated significant interest before its release, with Spotify reporting more than five million pre-saves on its Countdown Page.
