Josh Duhamel Details Wife’s ‘Really Hard’ Childbirth
Josh Duhamel’s wife, Audra Mari, had a difficult experience delivering their second baby together.
“[Childbirth was] not good. I mean, it was great ultimately, but it was really hard on Audra, to be honest,” Duhamel, 53, said on the Thursday, July 23, episode of Live With Kelly and Mark. “She had this thing called placenta previa, which means the placenta was sitting between the baby and the cervix. That’s how women used to bleed out back in the day.”
He continued, “Thankfully, we have modern medicine and everything, so we knew it was there and we knew that we had to do a scheduled C-section.”
Duhamel and Mari, 32, initially scheduled a cesarean for May 19. However, their plans changed just four days prior.
“Well, on the 15th, she has this dream where she wakes up to me tapping her on the nose like, ‘Wake up, wake up, wake up.’ And then she wakes up and I’m just laying there sleeping,” the Ransom Canyon star recalled on Thursday. “I won’t get into the gory details, but she said, ‘We got to go.’ So, we rushed into the car, raced through about five red lights, and then had the baby … two hours later.”

Despite the hurried labor, Duhamel felt confident knowing that his wife was in expert hands by trained medical professionals.
“Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota, is unbelievable. It is one of the most state-of-the-art hospitals in the country,” he gushed to married cohosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. “So, we felt very confident and, you know, and now we have a beautiful baby girl.”

Duhamel and Mari announced on May 16 that they welcomed daughter Rocca de Leon. (The couple also share son Shepherd, 2, while the actor is also father of son Axl, 12, from his marriage to ex-wife Fergie.)
“He likes her, kind of, but he also accidentally kicks her in the head,” Duhamel quipped on Thursday of Shepherd’s reaction to his 2-month-old sister. “He pretends he doesn’t mean to, but he does. … But yeah, [Rocca] is a little sweetheart. She just smiled yesterday for the first time.”
Duhamel further revealed that he named his daughter after the Rococo and Baroque styles of art.
“My minor was art history in college, and for whatever reason [when I was on a recent flight], I was thinking about [the] Rococo and Baroque … periods of art history,” he said. “I had always liked those two words, so I texted Audra and she liked it. Then, we sat on it for a few days and that’s how the name came to be. There’s no other significance other than that.”

General Hospital: Stella’s Shocking Scheme to Force Curtis & Portia Back Together for Baby
General Hospital saw Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) just gave birth to her and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) baby, and Aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) already warned them they need to get it together and coexist peacefully because it is what is best for their newborn baby.
But I don’t think Stella’s happy about the baby being born to split up parents. We know that Curtis’s aunt is a class A meddler and she’s not a fan of Isaiah Gannon. (Sawandi Wilson). We’re going to talk about what happens if Stella starts plotting to get Curtis and Portia back together.
General Hospital: Stella’s Meddlesome History
So, back when Curtis was married to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and they were getting a divorce, if you remember, Stella did her level best to meddle them into a reunion. She even stole their divorce papers off Jordan’s desk when she was police commissioner.
And then Stella had a stroke and the papers were tossed out and it was a big mess. But she wanted Curtis and Jordan to stay married that badly. And there wasn’t even a kid involved back then. And now with a baby in the mix along with Curtis and Portia’s grown kid, I wouldn’t be surprised if Stella gets to meddling again so that they will be raising their son Desmond together, not as divorced co-parents.
Stella already tried as hard as she could to convince Portia and Curtis to stick to their marriage and not get a divorce. And she doubled down once Stella found out that Portia was pregnant. Stella really wanted them to make it work, not just for the baby. But for Curtis and Portia themselves.
But their marriage was too broken. Curtis had moved on emotionally with Jordan. And then he walked out on his marriage when Portia said, “If you go now, we are done.” And off Curtis went. So I have zero sympathy. And I don’t think that Portia did anything wrong by sleeping with Isaiah because it was Curtis who decided to end their marriage. So, Portia was free to move on.
Stella’s Meddling and Baby Desmond’s Future on GH
But Stella and Curtis don’t see it that way. Both of them think Isaiah was sleeping with Curtis’s wife. I mean, technically, sure, but that marriage was irretrievably done. Stella has been very accepting of Jordan since she and Curtis reunited. And I don’t think Stella has anything against Jordan. She even called her family after she delivered the baby.
But once the reality of baby Desmond’s delivery sinks in, we could see a change in Stella’s stance and she may get back into busybody mode and start interfering. We saw her boss Portia and Curtis around and Stella tried to keep Isaiah out of the way so that Portia, Curtis, and the baby could have family bonding time. But Stella may want more than that. She may get it in her head that Curtis and Portia need to reunite.
General Hospital: Stella Wants What’s Best
Stella may understandably think that little Desmond deserves to be in a family altogether being raised by a married mother and father and Stella might think that it’s best for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as well if they reunite. So, if Stella meddles, of course it will come from a place of love. She thinks she knows what’s best and in the end if Stella meddles, I don’t think it’s because she dislikes Jordan or Isaiah. I do think Stella’s more fond of Jordan than she is of Isaiah. But I do think Stella respects him as a doctor, and she thinks he’s a good man despite Curtis’s insane and baseless accusations against Isaiah.
But I think Stella’s fine if Isaiah and Jordan get hurt so long as little Desmond gets the family that Stella thinks he deserves. She may already be thinking about baby Desmond being shuffled around home to home, bouncing, alternating days, being raised in two different households, and Stella might be bothered, like Curtis is, by the idea of Isaiah helping raise Desmond alongside Portia.
Curtis Still Salty on GH
We know Curtis is still deeply hurt that he was cheated out of the chance to help raise Trina. And now Curtis is annoyed with Isaiah being involved. And it doesn’t help that Portia snapped at Curtis recently and said she’s glad she didn’t let him help raise Trina.
She said it was the right thing to do. It was also really bothersome to Curtis that Isaiah was there holding the baby and watching Portia, Isaiah, and Desmond looking like a little family while Curtis was literally on the outside looking in through the window.
And a lot of fans talked about how quiet and happy baby Desmond was when Isaiah was holding him and then was crying his head off when Curtis was holding him. The GH fandom, a lot of them are still hoping that Isaiah is the real biological father and Portia’s paternity test was tampered.
General Hospital: Stella’s Schemes and Collateral Damage
So, I expect pretty soon Stella’s going to speak separately to Portia and Curtis. Stella may float the idea of them reconciling because it’d be best for the baby and Stella may be certain that Curtis and Portia still love each other deep down. I disagree. I think whatever love they had is dead and gone.
So, if Stella brings this up to Curtis and Portia, I think they’ll both shut it down. And then we could see Stella doing some plotting, some scheming with the idea that she’s doing the right thing for that beautiful little baby Desmond. Even if Isaiah and Jordan are collateral damage, I think she’d still do it.
So, I could see Stella doing some matchmaking, setting up situations. She may try and get Curtis and Portia alone with Desmond and then distract Isaiah and Jordan to keep them out of it. But I also think Curtis and Portia will realize what Stella’s doing if she tries this. I think they would probably call her out.
Because I mean, Portia and Curtis both were part of ripping their marriage apart. Portia’s lies about Trina broke her and Curtis. And when Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) was blackmailing Portia, she kept that hidden. That made things worse. And at the same time, Curtis was having a blatant emotional affair with his ex-wife, Jordan.

Stella’s Scheme on GH
So, here’s what I expect to see. Since Stella’s got a promotion and has more administrative power at General Hospital, she might have some control over scheduling, you know. So, Stella might finagle things to keep Isaiah away from Portia. We could see Stella stick him working nights and weekends and then she might influence what hours Portia keeps as a doctor so that she’s working days and has weekends off. That way pretty much Isaiah and Portia might be living separate lives.
So, Stella might also encourage Jordan to go to that German clinic to get her face fixed, knowing that that would have her gone for a while and out of Curtis’ life. So that would be one less person for Stella to have to try and distract. I could also see Stella working on Trina, trying to get her to help pull Curtis and Portia together. Stella can set up family events for Trina and Curtis, Portia, and little Desmond during times when Stella knows that she can get Isaiah and Jordan out of the way.
General Hospital: No Future for Curtis & Portia
I’m also still half convinced that Stella might have tampered that DNA test. But I think no matter what she tries, I don’t see Curtis and Portia getting back together. At one point, you know, she was desperate to hang on to Curtis. But now Portia’s over him. She’s falling for Isaiah. And I think he’s all in with Portia. I wouldn’t be surprised if Isaiah plans to propose soon. And I think Stella will lose it completely if she gets wind of that.
I fully expect meddling with Curtis and Portia soon. But we’ll see what Stella does. Curtis still also has his criminal trial coming soon. And when that starts, it’s going to get messy between Jordan, Isaiah, Curtis, and Portia because Jordan already tried to blame Portia for Curtis facing those criminal charges. I honestly think it is Jordan’s fault for causing that wreck.
Of course, Curtis’ fault for assaulting Isaiah and accusing him just because he doesn’t like him. And if Stella tries to reunite them, I think she’s wrong to do it. Curtis and Portia are not going to be in a healthy relationship again. The best I think they can hope for is amicable co-parents to Desmond and Trina. But their love, I think, is dead and gone.

Bold and the Beautiful: Dylan Steals Will – Electra Ready to Explode in Fury!
Bold and the Beautiful delivers Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) showing up for Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) while he is reeling from Electra Forrester’s (Laneya Grace) rejection and all the accusations from the Forrester family that are just over the top.
And all of this means that it’s finally time that Dylan is going to get a real shot with Will. We’re going to talk about what Dylan does to win Will’s heart now that he’s single and pretty much at rock bottom.
Bold and the Beautiful: Electra’s Gonna Freak
And let’s talk about what Electra does when Will and Dylan inevitably move on together. So, this week we saw Dylan felt so horrible for Will. And up at Bikini Bar when Jessica asked what happened with Eric Forrester (John McCook), we saw that Dylan was totally supportive. She’s team Will. She told Jessica that everything that went down at Bikini Bar was a total accident. And Dylan said Will did not mean to hit Eric.
But of course, Electra wouldn’t listen. And Dylan also told Jessica that Electra told Will it’s over. And Dylan said that her heart broke for Will. And then we saw Dylan going to check on him at the beach house. And of course, he was understandably distraught. Also, side note, it’s summer in LA. Why is she wearing that big coat? They’re all in coats and long sleeves right now in the middle of summer. Anyway, with Electra officially cutting Will loose and saying she’ll never get back with him, it definitely looks like this is Dylan’s big chance to get with Will.
And of course, he’s crushed right now, but he will get over it soon enough. And Dylan is Will’s main cheerleader right now. Even Katie Logan (Heather Tom) chewed out Will. So, he’s got no choice but to accept that he and Electra are truly over and done. And right as Will is circling the drain, Dylan walks through his door and she’s going to be incredibly understanding. So, I think she is finally going to get Will all to herself romantically, but when Dylan does, I think Electra is going to lose it on her.
Bold and Beautiful: Dylan’s Path to Will’s Heart
So, the first step to Dylan winning Will as her boyfriend is to show that she’s loyal to him and that Dylan supports and stands up for Will. While Electra, meanwhile, is always looking for reasons to doubt and mistrust Will. That’s not how Dylan operates. Electra believes everybody else before she believes Will. However, Dylan’s not like that. She even told Jessica that Will begged, but Electra wouldn’t give him the benefit of the doubt. And Jessica said Dylan would have done that if she was Will’s girlfriend. And I agree. And then Dylan says she knows Will’s heart and knows it’s good.
And throughout all this, Electra has been so much more loyal to R.J. Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) than she has to Will. Not once has Electra been loyal to Will that I’ve seen. And Electra never fought for Will. Dylan, though, is the complete opposite. She’s always been there for Will. She even stepped back and Dylan respected and supported his relationship with Electra, even though Dylan wanted Will for herself. So, another thing that Dylan has got going for her is that she’s not a spoiled, selfish nepo brat like Electra. As far as I’ve seen, Dylan is quite unselfish and she’s had hard times, so she appreciates good times.
Electra is the Worst on B&B
Electra, meanwhile, is a total brat. If her life isn’t going perfectly, she wants to blame others and gets pouty. Even when she knew Dylan would be homeless if Will tossed her out, that’s what Electra still wanted. She did not care if her supposed bestie Dylan was sleeping in her car. And Electra bullied and terrorized a poor homeless girl. It doesn’t get more selfish and awful than that.
Will needs a woman who’s loyal and appreciates him. And Dylan fits the bill on both of those. And honestly, Will seems a glutton for punishment, running around panting after Electra. And she’s got him so torn up that Will is saying sorry for things that aren’t his fault. Dylan would never do that to him.
Bold and the Beautiful: Job Loss and New Opportunities
Another thing I expect as she makes a play to have Will as her guy is that Dylan is going to get fired from Forrester Creations. I think because she won’t trash Will and she shows loyalty to him, that’ll be a big problem for the Foresters. Plus, Dylan is now reporting to Electra at work and helping with the jewelry line. And even though she told Will that they’ll never be together again, I’m sure Electra still considers him her territory. And we’ve heard her throw out ultimatums to Dylan before about how she can live her life, where she can live, and who she can date. So, I’m betting that Electra will do it again. And she’ll tell Dylan she can’t be involved with Will or else.
I expect Dylan is going to be okay with sacrificing her job, especially if it means she can be with Will, even though she’ll worry about affording her apartment. But I expect Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) will likely offer Dylan a job for staying loyal to Will and not siding with the Foresters against the Spencers.
Dylan recently mentioned that she should go work at Logan with Will and his family on Bold and the Beautiful. So, we know she’s open to it. It’s crossed her mind. Dylan is a stand-by-your-man girl for sure, and Will and his family will appreciate that. And then Electra can sit around pouting and thinking about that.

Dylan is Meant for Will on B&B
Another thing in favor of Dylan being the woman that Will rebounds with is their incredible chemistry. Back when he first let Dylan move above the garage when she was homeless, she and Will had these deep talks. They really connected. And of course, Dylan’s gorgeous. And it was clear that Will found her attractive. But at the time, that’s when Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) was manipulating everything. And Will recently acknowledged that he and Dylan have great chemistry. And if it wasn’t for him still wanting to be with Electra, he told Dylan he would love to explore that with her. And now that Electra has told Will it’s over forever, I do think he’ll be ready to explore that sizzling chemistry with Dylan.
In real life, Will would need time to recover. But on a soap, they often jump instantly from the last romance to the next one. And of course, that would make Dylan very happy. Another thing that could work in Dylan’s favor is that the Spencers may encourage Will to move on with her ASAP. I think Bill and Katie will love that Dylan cares about Will and will be impressed that she stood up for him. And most of all, a big selling point is that she is not a Forrester.
Dylan is Good for Will on Bold
Dylan is a good person. She’s sweet. She’s pretty. She’s unselfish and loyal and extremely different from Electra. I think that Dylan is genuine and the kind of woman that Will needs in his life. I think Dylan will always put Will first, unlike pouty, whiny, bratty Electra. And I think that Bill and Katie will see that and they’ll approve.
Meanwhile, I expect the Forresters are going to exert pressure on R.J. and Electra. I expect Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Eric are going to pressure Electra to get over Will and to just get with R.J. And you know, Electra is going to be dealing with R.J. all over her constantly in her ear.
I think he will always be in Electra’s office. And R.J. will tell her she needs to get over that dirt bag Spencer and go out with him. And of course, R.J.’s going to keep at it. The Forresters will keep at it and Electra will cave and start dating him. So, we’ll see how it goes, but I fully expect Dylan and Will to be the hot new couple soon. And honestly, I’m here for it.

Young and the Restless Next Week: Victor Grows Suspicious & Mariah Makes Explosive Return
Young and the Restless spoilers for next week get intense as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is being really skeptical about something that he hears and then very mad about something else that happens. Meanwhile, Camryn Grimes is finally back as Mariah Copeland. Long overdue. We have got the latest Y&R spoilers for the week of July 27th through the 31st.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Spars with Devon
We also have juicy stuff for Daniel Romalotti, (Michael Graziedi), Abby Newman, (Melissa Ordway), Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), and more on the Abbotts chasing Dr. Markham (Jere Burns). First though, let’s talk about Cane. At the end of this week, he’s up at the Chancellor Park Cafe when Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) walks up and starts something.
Aside from Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Abby, every time Devon talks to anybody, he’s pretty much angry and awful. I think he needs a literal chill pill. So, he’s going off on Cane about Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) hiring Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) at Chancellor.
He’s salty because bottom line, Devon wants Chancellor for himself and thinks that it being in Cane’s hands is dishonoring Katherine Chancellor‘s (Jeanne Cooper) memory and legacy. Devon says that Cane is going to ruin Chancellor. And Cane warns Devon if he keeps up like this, he’s going to ruin his relationship with his sister Lily.
But Devon doubles down, calls Cane a con artist. He insults Billy, insults Holden, and says they should just give him Chancellor so he can roll it up into Winters. And Cane warns Devon that his anger is pushing people away.
So, Cane pushes his buttons more and asks Devon about Abby and Dominic and how they’re dealing with Devon’s attitude problems. That makes him angrier at Cane. And then Devon winds up storming off in a huff.
Pretty much his default state these days. And then Billy enters in a huff and is griping first about Devon and then about Cane. So this is about some secret that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is keeping and it’s something to do with Chancellor.
Y&R Spoilers: Chancellor Secrets and New Romances
And Billy wants to know what it is and he tells Cane he’ll take the job offer. But Billy’s paranoia over Jill has Cane worried. He doesn’t want Billy coming into Chancellor with some kind of agenda. Cane doesn’t want Billy digging around because he doesn’t trust Jill. And basically Cane’s seeing red flags in Billy that everybody warned him about, but I’m sure he’s still going to hire Billy.
So, next week on Young and the Restless, we’re going to see Cane over at Lily’s penthouse and things are much less stressful there. Cane is all smiles and it reminds Lily that she made him CEO of Chancellor. Now she’s invited him over to her place and Cane says if he didn’t know any better, he would think that Lily was starting to like him.
Well, I think she is. And with Cane being at her house, you know, this might be when Lily makes a move to get what she wants. And we know that’s Cane in her bed. They’ve been building up to this on kind of a slow burn. So, we’ll see if Lily goes for it next week and grabs her man.
Young and Restless Spoilers: Nikki Needs Help
Also, next week, we’ll get more on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)’s health issues as she continues to count steps around the house. I expect that Victor may press her soon. Hopefully, he’ll get her to use some accessibility tools because her vision’s not coming back. Not for a while. She needs a white cane mobility tool for starters. Maybe a seeing eye dog, although I’m sure Y&R doesn’t have the budget for that.
And speaking of The Mustache, we’ll find out next week if Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) convinced Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) to talk to Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) about the role that Victor played in the attacks on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). And on that subject, we’re going to see Kyle and the Abbotts desperately, desperately searching.
They really need to find Dr. Markham’s summer home that Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) mentioned. They think that he’s hiding there. And Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is gearing up to go visit Martin face to face in prison since he offered information on how to find Dr. Markham if Traci would just come to see him.
Y&R Spoilers: Big Plans and Troubling Romances
So, next week on Y&R, spoilers say that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) present their big win to Victor because Adam’s going to tell his dad that he was ruthless with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and ripped Newman Media out of her hands. I’m betting Victor is going to be real skeptical on Adam and Chelsea’s sudden change of heart.
Now, let’s talk about Phyllis and then we’ll talk about her son, Daniel. So this week, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was making out with Matt Clark (Roger Howorth), and Phyllis was ready to sleep with him, and it was Matt who tapped the brakes. It’s kind of bizarre that the sexual assaulter told Phyllis he didn’t want to take advantage. And I guess that’s how the writers are signaling us that he is truly reformed.
So, I did a little poll right here on the channel to ask you guys if you’re down with this pairing of Phyllis and Matt given his awful past. Fifty-two percent of responders said they hate Phyllis with Matt. Twenty-five percent said they love it and want more. And another twenty-three percent said they are waiting to decide.

Young and the Restless Fans Hate the Matt Clark Storyline
So bottom line, I’ve got to keep covering Phyllis and Matt because it’s on Young and the Restless. It’s a front burner storyline, but I agree with the fifty-two percent of people that it bothers. It feels very rape-enabling to me. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) by the way, is also really bothered. Meanwhile, they have Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) acting like it’s no big deal.
Nick even told Phyllis to just take Matt and leave town. She said no. But Phyllis also doesn’t want Matt leaving Genoa City. Period. But Phyllis wants Matt free of Victor’s control and influence. So, that’s important because in next week’s Young and the Restless spoilers, we’ve got Phyllis taking a big step forward because she is going to disable Matt’s ankle monitor and take it right off his leg. And I’m certain that Victor will be alerted to its removal.
But the question is, will he press charges on Matt? Can Victor even make that happen after having them all dropped? I guess we’ll find out next week. Phyllis gets the monitor off and she tells Matt, “You’re free as a bird.” Now, even without the monitor, I doubt he’s going anywhere. He’s found a rich woman who wants him for some reason. So, why not stick around?
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Daniel Pops Back Up
Also, next week, more Y&R spoilers have Abby upset, and Daniel Ramlotti shows up to say that it looks like Abby could use a friend, and he asks if she will settle for him. They have to be looking for a plot to push Daniel into because he’s got no job, no girlfriend, nothing going on. And I honestly hope they didn’t bring him back and put him in Abby’s path so that he can interfere in another marriage like he did with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah’s marriage.
And speaking of that, two comings and goings alerts. First is that Camryn Grimes is back on screen next week at the end of the week as Mariah Copeland. So maybe Mariah’s return will help address Devon’s simmering rage issues. Maybe Mariah can help him work through them. No word yet on whether Tessa and Aria are coming back with her.
And also next week, we’ve got Trisha Cast back as Nina Webster. And I assume it’s because it is the one-year anniversary of Chance Chancellor‘s (Conner Floyd) murder. Meanwhile, Connor Floyd is doing an awesome job over on Days of Our Lives where he took over the role that Billy Flynn left when he came to Y&R to play Cane. It is very soap opera full circle.

OjaySuave Addresses Backlash Over PlaqueBoyMax Comments
Streamer University may be over, but viral moments from the week-long event are still fueling conversation across social media. Most recently, content creator OjaySuave is speaking out after facing backlash for comments he made about PlaqueBoyMax’s “DIVA” tattoo.

PlaqueBoyMax Ends Stream After OjaySuave’s Comments
Last week, social media erupted after a video captured a roughly five-minute conversation between OjaySuave and PlaqueBoyMax during Streamer University. In the clip, Ojay criticized Max over his recent decision to get “DIVA” tattooed across his ribs. He questioned Max about why he wanted to be “a diva,” then told him he was confused, needed guidance, believed his parents likely felt some type of way about the tattoo, and accused him of clip farming. Ojay then told Max, “You’re not a diva. You’re a grown man,” before adding that he should not “sell his soul.”
Following the tense exchange, Max walked away to a secluded area, where he addressed what had just happened on stream. He said Ojay could have spoken to him off-camera if he genuinely cared instead of confronting him in front of viewers for a viral moment. Visibly emotional and in tears, Max said he would continue to be himself regardless of what others think. He also encouraged people to love one another and avoid being close-minded, adding that it should not matter whether someone is gay or straight. Before ending his stream, Max reminded his viewers to always be themselves and embrace what makes them different.
OjaySuave Says He Was Playing a Character While Addressing Backlash
Now, Ojay has returned to social media with a 12-minute YouTube video responding to the backlash surrounding the viral conversation with PlaquBboyMax at Streamer University. In the video, he said he was simply joking while portraying a satirical “Jamaican uncle” character. Ojay also claimed he had not been active on social media in the days leading up to the exchange, saying he was unaware that discussions surrounding Max’s tattoo had already taken an emotional toll on the streamer. He added that he apologized if the joke came across as too harsh, but maintained that his intentions were never malicious. Ojay also argued that posting online opens the door for public opinion. He said creators should be comfortable expressing themselves regardless of how others respond.
Social Media Reacts
As clips from Ojay’s response continue circulating online, users flooded The Shade Room Teens’ comment section with mixed reactions.

Forgotten Raunchy, R-Rated 2000s Crime Comedy Turns Every Side Quest Into A Disaster
By Robert Scucci
| Published

In my adult life, there’s nothing worse than being forced onto side quests. You run to the grocery store, but while you’re out your car tells you that you have to check your tire pressure. You go to do that and realize a tail light is out, so you head to the auto parts store for a replacement bulb. You finally get home, only to discover you need a proprietary tool to access the rear lights. But you bought the car second-hand, this is the first time you’ve had to change the tail light, and now you have to figure out how to access it.
The feeling I get when this happens reminds me of 2000’s Poor White Trash, which starts out with simple petty theft before turning into an entire fiasco involving the whole town as our heroes decide to rob a bunch of trailer homes in the most incompetent fashion imaginable. There are so many side characters in Poor White Trash, too many to fully unpack here, but they’re also the reason this flick is such a great comedy of errors. Just when you think things can’t get any crazier, they always do.
Things Get Crazy In Poor White Trash

Poor White Trash wastes no time getting Mike (Tony Denman) and Lennie (Jacob Tierney) into trouble, and their adventure begins with stealing non-alcoholic beer from a local convenience store. While trying to rob the store, Lennie, who’s also a pyromaniac, accidentally blows up a car parked out front, injuring the owner in the process. The explosion was only meant to be a distraction before things got out of hand. They both get arrested and get off relatively easy as first-time offenders, but in order to make sure their lives aren’t ruined, they need to raise money for a competent lawyer before their next court hearing.
Mike wants to go to college so he can escape his trailer park upbringing, while Lennie is perfectly content going to trucking school and celebrating a blue-collar lifestyle. Realizing neither of them has much of a shot at moving forward until they get past this obstacle, they decide to rob cheap jewelry from neighboring trailer homes, hoping they can raise enough money to hire Ron, Lennie’s criminal grandfather, to represent them.

Sitting on the sidelines at first is Mike’s mother, Linda (Sean Young), who feels trapped in her own life after ruining her nursing career years earlier through her own reckless, youthful behavior.
While Linda doesn’t approve of the antics that landed Mike and Lennie in trouble in the first place, she refuses to let her son enter adult life at a disadvantage. Her wannabe pro-wrestler ex-husband Jim (Bob Koherr) doesn’t seem to care about Mike, or the fact that Linda has a relationship with a much younger man named Brian (Jason London), who just so happens to be the son of Sheriff Ross (Doug MacHugh), and also just so happens to be hung up on Sandy (Jaime Pressly), who just so happens to be dating Ron, complicating matters further than any sane person could reasonably imagine.
Total Insanity By The Third Act

The above rundown of Poor White Trash made me nauseous because it’s just too many names to keep straight. What’s even more anxiety-inducing is the fact that every single one of these characters pushes Mike, Lennie, and Linda’s adventure into completely unhinged territory. As all these side characters are introduced, our heroes graduate to robbing nursing homes and fast food restaurants, racking up a serious amount of dough while somehow evading authorities, even though they’re incredibly bad at what they do and, at one point, simply wear underwear over their faces to conceal their identities.
As Poor White Trash transforms into an all-out trailer park melee unlike anything you’ve ever seen, all I can say is, “Strap in and enjoy the ride,” because this movie never truly lets up. It’s low-brow humor executed with sophistication, allowing the more slapstick elements to land because the situational humor is so smart in the way it compounds and becomes increasingly overwhelming without ever making the viewer lose the plot.

Poor White Trash is rude, crude, and has just the right amount of ‘tude to be the perfect crime comedy to watch on a lazy summer day. It’s silly, it’s sexy, and somehow, everybody gets what they deserve … kind of.
To witness the spectacle, the drama, the fireworks, and the mayhem, you can stream Poor White Trash for free on Tubi as of this writing.

First Details About New Star Trek Movie Offer More Questions Than Answers
By Chris Snellgrove
| Updated

Many Star Trek fans were understandably shocked when Paramount pulled the plug on developing new TV shows. Instead, they have decided to pivot the franchise back to the big screen, and they hired some top-tier talent. The unnamed movie will be written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. This dynamic duo has some serious geek cred, having written both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. These two specialize in creating stories filled with heart, humor, and pulse-pounding action, and that’s exactly the vibe Paramount wants for their beloved science fiction franchise.
With that being said, the studio hasn’t said much about what this new movie will be about. We already knew that it was going to feature an entirely different set of characters, but beyond that, details have been very sparse. Recently, though, Goldstein and Daley made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, and they made a shocking announcement about the movie’s setting: that it would be “further into the future than we’ve been before.” Unfortunately, the ambiguity of this statement and questions about whether this film will reboot Star Trek have offered more questions than answers to a deeply confused fandom.
Giving The Fans What They Want

At Comic-Con, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley were careful not to spoil the Star Trek film they are working on. Initially, Daley said, “the script is in progress, and that we’re very excited about it” before adding, “I really can’t say anything else other than that.” They relented and said more, but much was just marketing. For example, Goldestein described how they wanted “to do a different spin on something that you’ve seen done before.” Unsurprisingly, they want to cater to old and new fans alike: “That’s our hope with this: is to satisfy the fans, but also bring people in who may not consider themselves lovers of Star Trek and surprise them.”
In the midst of this, however, one of the writers said something fascinating. After confirming that the crew in the film “won’t be the characters that you’ve seen previously in your Star Trek movies,” Goldstein dropped a bombshell. “I think it’ll probably be a little further into the future than we’ve been before.” This is a comment that has left fans confused, and for good reason. After all, there are two very different ways to interpret this comment, which would result in two drastically different possible movies.
Just When You Thought Disco Was Dead

The most literal way to interpret Goldstein’s comment is that the new film will literally take place further in Star Trek’s future than we have seen in any show or movie. At the end of Star Trek: Discovery Season 2, the crew jumped to the 32nd century, which is also where Starfleet Academy took place. That’s as far in continuity as Trek has gone so far, and the new movie might take place even further in the future. Assuming the new film doesn’t reboot continuity, that means it would take place in a future where the Federation is still rebuilding, the Vulcans have reunified with the Romulans, and the Klingons have been mostly wiped out.
That’s unlikely to happen, though. Chances are high that Paramount doesn’t want to associate their newest Star Trek film with Starfleet Academy, the future-set show that was canceled after one season. Plus, the 32nd century brought with it some major continuity changes (the ones above are just the tip of the iceberg). If Paramount wants to simultaneously appeal to older and newer fans, they’ll set the movie in a more accessible time period. Like, say, the 25th century!
Will You Cheer Or Will You Puke?

How would that work? Goldstein’s comment mentioned the movie taking place “a little further into the future than we’ve been before.” His use of “little” might mean that the movie is taking place slightly further into the 25th century, which is when Picard and Lower Decks take place. Those shows followed up on Golden Age Trek series like The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. After the success of Picard’s final season, fans practically begged for a Star Trek: Legacy show that took place in the 25th century. We never got one, but maybe we’ll be getting an entire movie set just a little further on that familiar timeline.
Admittedly, this is speculation. It’s possible that Jonathan Goldstein meant something else entirely and misspoke in his effort not to spoil the movie. Taken at face value, though, it sounds like the setting determines whether the new Star Trek movie is a spiritual successor to Starfleet Academy or to Picard. Given those choices, it’s a safe bet most fans would rather have new adventures set in the 25th century. If we get a new movie set in the 32nd century, though, it may make many older fans vomit. Worried about your novelty popcorn bucket? Don’t worry…if we’re getting a Starfleet Academy sequel on the big screen, you’ll probably just be puking glitter, anyway!

‘The Ultimatum’ Star Blake Robertson Shares Relationship Update
If you caught season 4 of “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on” and wondered where Blake Robertson stands with the girlfriend he entered the show with, Hayley Hendrich, and his partner during his trial marriage, Ashley Wilson, you’re not alone. Now that cameras have stopped rolling, and it is months after the engagements, is Blake still with Hayley? Or did he and Ashley pick up where they left off during the show?
During an exclusive interview with The Blast, the reality star shares some details on what happened after the engagement and what’s happened since the reunion was filmed (and you might be a bit surprised).

If you watched the finale of the show, you know that Blake asked Hayley to marry him. They looked ready for some happily ever after vibes, but that didn’t last long after the cameras stopped rolling. If you watched the reunion, you know they are no longer together. But what happened between the finale and the reunion? A lot, apparently.
One thing that recently broke was the fact that Blake was arrested for allegedly assaulting Hayley shortly after their engagement.
“Hayley and I communicated even after the arrest situation. She continued to stay with me and we were together for another week-and-a-half, two weeks. We communicated until ultimately, I told her I don’t want my card on her Apple Pay anymore, and that’s kind of what made her stop communication with me,” he told The Blast exclusively.
“We went to the reunion and after we finished the reunion and she saw her edit, how she kind of came across, and ever since then we’ve been in contact. For some reason she wants to keep me blocked on social media, which I don’t think is fair, but she wants to communicate with me in private and say, ‘Hey Blake, please help me out. I don’t like my edit. I want you to make me look less dramatic or crazy.’”
Let’s Talk About The Arrest…

The arrest news recently made headlines, and Blake gave a little more insight into what happened.
“I just did a longform podcast on that and all the details of it will drop. But just to break it down into the lowest common denominator, this was a class C misdemeanor. They kind of broad term group everything into family violence when in reality, it can be as little as unwelcomed touching,” he said. “So that’s kind of the essence of it, in a sense where Hayley has got a lot of accountability that she needs to take too. I definitely do take full accountability for the things that I am responsible for.”
Blake said there was “physical violence” in his relationship with Hayley, and he was “on the receiving side of it all the time.” He hopes that she will soon “take the accountability that she’s asking everyone else to take” and stop making excuses.
“The constant recording that I lived under where everything was said, hundreds and hundreds of times constantly being recorded by her, that is not the way that anyone should live in a healthy relationship or engagement where someone loves them,” he added. “That to me is something where I look forward to her taking a lot of accountability for as well.”
After the show wrapped, the two managed to stay together for about four to five months.
What About Blake And His Trial Marriage Partner, Ashley?

Blake and Ashley bonded during their trial marriage, but there were also a lot of distractions and chaos with Killian (Ashley’s boyfriend) and Hayley that derailed their experience in many ways.
When asked if Blake is still in contact with Ashley, he said they have spoken.
“I talked to her like three days ago and she said she wanted to be there to help support me throughout everything,” Blake revealed. “So yeah, we’ve been in contact.”
As far as the rest of the cast, Blake said he’s also spoken to Killian, Jebin, Edris, and Jessica Grace. While Blake and David were great friends on the show, he hasn’t really spoken to him since the show.
“David and I were obviously best friends on the show, and due to Hayley and I’s falling out, he and Casey have kind of gone their own separate ways to stay out of the drama of it all, which I respect,” he said. “Then Luke and Monica are just kind of solo out in California.”
The ‘Fearless Foursome’ On ‘The Ultimatum’

Referred to as the “fearless foursome” by host Vanessa Lachey, Blake, Hayley, Killian, and Ashley had many interactions that weren’t seen on camera.
“There is so much behind the scenes that I can’t wait to just open up more about,” he told The Blast. “We really were like this fearless foursome that you know, I really don’t feel like got to be explored in a sense.”
Blake shared that he and Killian got into “so many arguments where we went at it.” And as far as the infamous “group chat,” many have asked Blake why he didn’t stand up for Hayley, and he said there’s a lot that wasn’t shown on camera.
“One of the things that wasn’t shown is I actually went over to Killian’s apartment and him and I had a full on conversation for an hour where we just went back and forth,” Blake shared. “And you know I was just getting in his face and he was getting in mine. So that was left out.”
The Best And Worst Parts Of Filming ‘The Ultimatum’

As with any experience, there’s always something that stands out as the best and the worst part. For Blake, the best parts were some of the things the viewers didn’t get to see.
“They don’t tell us what to say, but they give us good prompts, like they would give us a little sheet that would ask us questions we haven’t thought of before that might be good questions to ask your current partner or trial marriage partner. Just to kind of get deeper. I think that was great,” Blake shared. “And then getting to experience the city of Las Vegas as well in its entirety. Ashley and I on the show had some really cool dates. I think getting to go drive the boat on Lake Las Vegas was a lot of fun.”
He added that living the “single life” again before going back to his relationship was an interesting part of the experience. As far as the worst part, Blake said it’s all about your flaws.
“Your flaws are heightened. You know everything that I did that I am not proud of, such as the conversations with Ashley or the breakup, or you know Hayley and I’s arguments. Those are put on blast,” he said. “And you get to hear a lot of people’s opinions on what they would have done in your shoes, which of course, they don’t understand what you’re going through at the time, nor they’ve never been in it. Just seeing your life on public display and maybe your flaws. That’s something that’s a bit tough.”
He also shared that it was a great experience living at Ariva Serviced Residences in Southwest Las Vegas, noting that he enjoyed the amenities, mountain views, and being so close to so many great things in Sin City.

Kevin Feige Confirms What We All Already Knew About The MCU Reboot
By Chris Snellgrove
| Updated

Among fans and Hollywood execs alike, “reboot” has become something of a dirty word. After all, you can throw a rock and easily hit one of countless terrible reboots. The new Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), for example, had none of the demented fun of the original movies, and audiences hated it. Psycho (1998). The Thing (2011) was such an unnecessary prequel that even putting Ramona Flowers in it couldn’t get fans to care about this film. And The Fantastic Four (2015) lacked the charisma of the earlier two movies, quickly establishing itself as one of the worst superhero films ever made.
What do all of these reboots have in common? Simple: they failed to attract new fans while driving away older fans, ultimately damaging the brand in a lasting way. Nobody is more aware of the dangers of reboots than Kevin Feige, who previously called reboot “a scary word” and who prefers to call his own upcoming MCU reboot a “reset.” Now, in a recent statement, Feige has clarified some of what we can expect to happen after Avengers: Secret Wars. “It will establish a streamlined, simplified, single universe that we can keep up with.”
Reboot Or Reset?

From the outside looking in, Kevin Feige’s comments about the post-Secret Wars MCU seem contradictory. He previously confirmed that the MCU would be getting a reboot, but noted that he preferred the term “reset.” Now, in a recent interview with Joshua Horowitz, he denied that there would be a reboot and suggested fans read Jonathan Hickman’s 2015 Secret Wars comic because it provides “a nice roadmap to where we can go.” So, how is the universe resetting but not rebooting? In a statement made to Chinese media, Feige has squared the circle, promising the MCU would “establish a streamlined, simplified, single universe that we can keep up with. Some things will be familiar, but many, many things will be entirely new.”
What does all of this mean? Regarding “reboot,” it seems Feige is avoiding this word for two reasons. First, as outlined above, most reboots are awful, and audiences have come to rightfully fear them. Second, this isn’t a complete reboot in the traditional sense. Marvel isn’t going to recast every single role or dramatically change the kinds of stories they tell. That means you shouldn’t expect the kind of major transformation we got from the Battlestar Galactica television reboot or the Star Trek (2009) cinematic reboot. Instead, we’re getting a reset that keeps most of what we know and love while tweaking things just enough to keep the movies fresh.
The World’s Worst-Kept Secret

That brings us back to Hickman’s Secret Wars comic. That tale deals with our heroes trying and failing to stop realities from colliding with one another. After they fall, Doom rebuilds the entire multiverse into a single reality that he is the ruler of. Eventually, he is defeated, and we are left with a new reality that is mostly very recognizable to fans. However, it’s got a few new continuity tweaks. For example, Miles Morales, who was originally from a different universe, is now part of the familiar 616 universe. Furthermore, future writers had license to make more tweaks as needed, all of which are retroactively explained by Secret Wars.
What does this mean for the MCU? More or less, the exact same thing will happen. Our heroes will lose in Avengers: Doomsday and be reborn in Doom’s weird Battleworld in Avengers: Secret Wars. Once he is defeated, we’ll have a unified multiverse that allows popular multiversal characters (like Deadpool and the Fantastic Four) to become a permanent part of the MCU. It also paves the way for popular characters played by aging actors (like Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor) to be recast. Mostly, the reset of Secret Wars will make it easier to add the X-Men to the mix without screwing up too much existing continuity.

Why are the X-Men so important? They are arguably the most famous superhero group in history, and Kevin Feige is betting big on these merry mutants being the cornerstone of his new, hopefully improved MCU. Now, the reset news isn’t all that surprising; it’s what myself and countless others predicted as soon as the title dropped for Avengers: Secret Wars. However, it’s cool to hear the big guy basically confirm what’s about to happen. Plus, given how much everyone has loved X-Men ‘97, it’s safe to say the entire fandom is ready to see these guys optic blast their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Where Is Ian Diaz Now? His Life After Michelle Hadley Case
Netflix’s A Toxic Love Story breaks down Ian Diaz and his then-wife Angela Connell’s (formerly Angela Diaz) scheme to frame his ex Michelle Hadley for stalking and harassment. The couple hoped to scare Hadley into giving Diaz her portion of the Anaheim, California, condo they bought together, but the plan backfired when police learned that Diaz and Connell were actually behind the upsetting messages at the center of the case all along.
While Hadley’s name was cleared in 2017, Diaz was not arrested for the scheme for several years. Us breaks down everything we know about Diaz’s life today, below.
Where Is Ian Diaz Now?
After Diaz was arrested in May 2021, a federal jury convicted him of conspiracy to commit cyberstalking, cyberstalking, perjury and obstruction of a federal matter in March 2023. He was then sentenced to serve 10 years and one month in prison, and was dismissed from the U.S. Marshals Service.
He is currently serving his sentence at FMC Fort Worth. In January 2025, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed his convictions.
While Hadley appeared in A Toxic Love Story, neither Connell nor Diaz chose to participate.
“We did approach Ian. We did write him a letter, and he declined to take part,” director Alexandra Lacey told Netflix’s Tudum.
She added that the filmmakers have no knowledge about what his life is like behind bars.
What Did Ian Diaz Do?
A Toxic Love Story sheds light on Hadley and Diaz’s romance, which began in 2013 when they met on an online dating website. They eventually bought a condo together, and Hadley covered a large portion by paying the down payment.
The pair split in August 2015, and Diaz quickly moved on when he married Connell in February 2016.
Diaz and Connell claimed that they started receiving messages from an online account called “Lilithistruth” in May 2016, and they went to police to state they believed Hadley was behind the messages.
One month later, Connell called 911 again to report that a man entered her home’s garage and tried to rape her. She told police that she believed Hadley had organized the attack.
Hadley was then arrested and charged with attempted forcible rape and stalking. She spent 88 days in jail before authorities determined that the couple had framed her so that she would give up her portion of the condo.
In January 2017, Hadley was released from jail and her charges were dropped.
Meanwhile, Connell was arrested that same month and later pleaded guilty to kidnapping, false imprisonment by menace, fraud or deceit, forgery, possession of a forged check over $950, perjury and grand theft, falsely reporting a crime to a police agency and falsely reporting a crime to a peace officer. She was ultimately sentenced to serve five years in prison, and she was released in July 2020.
Diaz and Connell have since divorced.

The Wildest Moments From the Dodgers’ White House Visit
The Los Angeles Dodgers are becoming regulars at the White House.
The back-to-back World Series champions were back in Washington D.C. on Thursday, July 23, to commemorate their latest triumph with President Donald Trump.
“I’m thrilled to say welcome back to the White House,” Trump, 80, said during the ceremony. “And maybe I’ll see you again next year.”
Trump may be right. At 65-38, the Dodgers have the best record in baseball and are the current betting favorites to achieve the ultra-rare World Series three-peat.
Championship-winning sports teams have visited U.S. presidents for decades, but in recent years, athletes’ decisions to attend have come into the spotlight. Several Dodgers were absent from the ceremony on Thursday, including star Mookie Betts.
“I’m not trying to make this a whole big deal,” Betts, 33, told the California Post earlier this month. “We just had a baby. You don’t get many days off. They’re coming [on the road trip to D.C.]. And just want to hang out with the fam.”
Dodgers star Kiké Hernandez also did not attend, explaining that he is off on a minor league rehab assignment, but that even if he were active, he “probably wouldn’t have gone anyways.”
Those who did attend, however, were treated to an unconventional event, taking place in the newly renovated White House Rose Garden. Keep scrolling for some of the strangest moments.
Trump Opens By Explaining New Rose Garden

Donald Trump SAUL LOEB / AFP
Before going into politics, Trump was known as a billionaire real estate developer, and those instincts have stayed with him into his presidency. He opened the ceremony by giving attendees a rundown of the new Rose Garden.
“This used to be grass and it was always wet,” he told the crowd. “The White House is built on a wetland and when you build on a wetland, the grass is wet all the time … We had a lot of upset women that would stand there in their high heels and they’d just go down like quicksand.”
He also turned his attention to the Walk of Fame he introduced, which features photos of 46 U.S. presidents and an autopen in place of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
“I could put some of the great Dodgers on the wall,” Trump joked, “but I figured maybe it’s more appropriate that we put the presidents.”
Trump Weighs in on War in Iran
Trump is a well-known sports fan, so it’s no surprise he was tuned into the Dodgers’ World Series series win over the Toronto Blue Jays in October. He admitted, however, that he hasn’t been watching as much baseball this year due to his responsibilities as president, including the ongoing war in Iran.
“I’ve been a little busy with Iran and some other things,” he said.
Trump Asks If He Has to Report World Series Ring

The Dodgers celebrate their World Series win Emilee Chinn/Getty Images
As is custom, the team presented Trump with a personalized Dodgers jersey with his name and No. 47 on the back. They also gave him a World Series ring, and Trump couldn’t help but crack a joke as he admired it.
“Wow. Do I have to report this?” he asked. “I don’t want to report this.”
The Ethics in Government Act requires presidents to report any gift they accept over $350, so if the ring is authentic, it seems likely that Trump will have to.
Trump Takes a Shot at Predecessor Joe Biden
The autopen photo on the Walk of Fame wasn’t the only shade Trump threw at Biden, 83. While describing the new Rose Garden, he quipped, “It looks very nice. You think Biden would do that? I don’t think so. I don’t think Biden would do it.”
Trump Puts Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani on the Spot

During his remarks, Trump mentioned Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s World Series MVP performance against the Blue Jays. When he turned around to shake Yamamoto’s hand, he asked him and Shohei Ohtani, who was standing next to him, who the better pitcher was. It doesn’t appear either player answered the question as both erupted in laughter.
Ohtani and Trump Pose for Oval Office Photo
Ohtani, 32, posed for a photo with Trump in the Oval Office as Trump sat at the Resolute Desk, flanked by the Dodgers’ two most recent World Series trophies. L.A.’s two-way superstar stood next to him, awkwardly holding a U.S.A. cap. (Ohtani is of Japanese descent and competed for Japan in the World Baseball Classic three times.)
