General Hospital reveals Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) being held prisoner by his angry wife, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), which frankly he deserves. I think we can all agree on that. But eventually, somebody is going to figure it out. Katelyn MacMullen said that it was all going to come out in a recent interview she did. And it was going to lead to the worst moment of Willow’s life.

We’re going to talk about what unlikely person rescues Drew in a big twist coming on General Hospital.

Willow Tait’s Revenge: The Dark Truth Behind Drew Cain’s Medical Crisis on General Hospital

All right, let’s dig into the messiness ahead. So, right now, Drew is in his own home with a hospital bed all set up. And Willow’s telling everybody she’s going to take really, really good care of him. But then once she got Drew settled in, Willow wasted no time, and she went off on Drew. Absolutely shocked him.

She unleashed everything she’s been holding in. Willow has been pretending to still be in love with Drew, to be loyal to him. And playing the devoted wife. It was pretty glorious when Willow told Drew she’s the one who shot him twice in the back, but of course he survived, which was not her plan at the time.

Willow blamed Drew for his own shooting and for what’s happening now and said she really tried to find another solution, but she couldn’t. And Willow then read off a big laundry list of his foul deeds and crimes. She called out Drew for everything, including sabotaging her visit with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) when she went to the clinic in Germany.

Then Willow brought up that awful incident that upset Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Viron Weaver) when he let the kid hear him lying and saying Michael didn’t want him around now that he had baby Daisy. On top of that, Willow told Drew that her only regret was he didn’t die when she shot him. That was awesome.

Willow also told Drew he didn’t have a stroke. Willow drugged him into collapsing, faked the stroke. And she’s causing Drew’s locked-in syndrome. She plans to keep drugging him to keep Drew paralyzed and in that bed until Willow decides she’s done with him.

Will Jason Morgan Rescue His Twin Brother on GH?

Of course, General Hospital fans are loving that Drew’s finally being punished for all the rotten things he’s done to so many people. But we also know eventually he is going to be saved. But hopefully not too soon. I’d like to see Willow torment him for a little while before he’s saved.

Now let’s talk about a big GH twist I expect to see. I suspect it’ll be a real bombshell when the ABC soap reveals who saves Drew and ends the misery of his captivity and torture at Willow’s hands. I suspect it will be somebody very unlikely who rides to his rescue. Somebody whose help he doesn’t deserve.

The first possibility as Drew’s improbable savior is his twin brother Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). These two hate each other, but him saving Drew could go a long way to rebuilding their bond as brothers. I think that we could see something like Drew using Morse code to signal Jason with his eyes to let him know he’s a prisoner.

Drew was a Navy SEAL, so he should absolutely know Morse code. That’s the sort of thing I also think Jason probably has picked up since he worked in that paramilitary group Pikeman for those couple of years. If it is him that saves Drew, that’d be a game-changer. Maybe in the end he and Jason could become real brothers in a way that they never have been before.

Kai’s Suspicions Could Expose Willow’s Deadly Medication Scheme on General Hospital

Another person I suspect might save Drew is actually someone who’s likely to save him. Unlike the other people on my list, we could see Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) saving Drew because he’s already suspicious of Willow. Kai might look at the medications that Willow has sitting around that room and just do some googling and research.

Since Kai knows that Willow is the one who shot Drew, he is worried that Willow may hurt Drew while he is stuck in that bed. So even though Kai doesn’t like Drew anymore, he’s still going to look out for him because Kai’s a good guy.

He told Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) he can’t just leave Drew alone with his murderous wife Willow. I could totally see Kai figuring out that Willow is doing something with the medications, and then Kai might alert somebody else and then together they save Drew.

The Ultimate Irony: Could Michael Corinthos Be the One to Free Drew Cain on GH?

Another really unlikely person that might save Drew is Michael. That would be the ultimate irony. If he found out that Willow was torturing Drew, I think Michael might consider for a minute just letting it go on given that Drew stole his wife and his life and that he wants Michael in prison.

But in the end, I think he would save Drew if he figured out what Willow was doing. Primarily because if Michael exposed Willow, he could permanently block her from seeing their kids. Even if she can’t be prosecuted for shooting Drew, the custody court would absolutely consider it if there was that confession and Drew said, “Okay, Willow confessed it to me.”

Tracy Quartermaine: Will She Save Her Nephew a Second Time on General Hospital?

Another really unlikely person that might save Drew from Willow is another person that really hates Drew, his aunt Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). She already saved Drew once when Willow shot him because Tracy showed up. She called the ambulance and got him the help he needed.

Now, she may save Drew a second time. But like Michael, if Tracy found out Willow was tormenting Drew, she might decide to leave him to suffer at Willow’s hands for a little while longer and then go back in and save Drew. If it is Tracy who rescues Drew, I don’t think that she would do it for his sake.

I think Tracy would do it to help Michael keep Willow away from the kids. Also, Tracy might like to hold it over Drew’s head for the rest of his life that no matter how awful he is, Tracy saved his life not once but twice. Drew might actually then make amends with the Quartermaines, beg forgiveness, and be a better human.

Ned’s Compassion vs. Drew Cain’s Past Betrayal

The last person who might save Drew to me would be one of the most unlikely given recent events, and that is Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). That would be the ultimate irony since Drew stood there over him while Ned was lying on the ground in agonizing pain having a coronary, and of course Drew didn’t lift a finger to help.

Instead, he accused Ned of faking the heart attack and walked away. All the Quartermaines are furious about this. So Drew better hope it’s Ned who finds out he’s trapped at Willow’s mercy. Because if Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) found out, I think she would walk away, never look back, wouldn’t tell anybody, and wouldn’t save Drew.

But I could see Ned going over there to visit Drew, to see for himself what’s going on, if he’s really trapped inside his own body, and check on his cousin because Ned has compassion. If he realizes that Willow is keeping Drew prisoner and medicating him to keep that paralysis going, I do think that Ned would do the right thing.

He might consider leaving Drew to his fate, but I think Tracy and Olivia are more likely ones to leave Drew to wallow in captive misery than to save him. But Ned is a good guy. He’s a forgiving person, and I think he would absolutely save Drew.

General Hospital Predictions: Redemption for Drew & a Permanent Villain Arc for Willow?

I think Tracy probably would save him, too. But Olivia, nah, I think she would laugh at Drew and close the door behind her on the way out. I feel like this whole ordeal in the end is meant to demonize Willow, make her into a permanent villain, and to redeem Drew. I don’t think fans are necessarily going to ever accept him, but I think that’s the plan of the writers.

So, having somebody that Drew has done dirty wind up saving him, of course, would be the soapiest outcome. My favorite choices to save Drew are either Michael or Jason. I think that would be the biggest drama. We’ll see how it goes.

Bold and the Beautiful has Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) really wanting to be together, but they are coming across obstacles at every turn. Right now, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) just read Taylor Hayes the riot act, and now she’s having second thoughts.

But she and Deacon Sharpe are going to be back on very soon despite this little hiccup. And from there, we know that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is going to find out that Deacon has fallen in love with Taylor and that Deacon wants to divorce Sheila so he can be with Taylor. When that happens, I think Sheila’s first instinct will be to go ballistic.

Deacon Sharpe and Taylor Hayes’ Romance Faces a Ridge Forrester Ultimatum on Bold and the Beautiful

All right, so right now it looks like Ridge has Taylor convinced she cannot be with Deacon because if she is, Sheila will target not only Taylor, but also Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and the kids. I mean, really, anybody close to Taylor will be at risk, but I don’t think Ridge’s ultimatum is going to stop Taylor for good.

I do think Deacon and Taylor are going to fight for their love. Recently, we saw Deacon and Taylor profess their love to each other, and they decided they wanted to be together despite the danger from Sheila. Taylor specifically said she’s not afraid of Sheila, and that she won’t live in fear because Deacon is the man for her.

Taylor even told Steffy about her feelings for Deacon. And that is of course when Steffy threw that ultimatum at her mom and threatened to kick Taylor out of her and her kids’ lives. But that barely slowed Taylor up. Let’s be real.

Sheila Carter Set to Discover the Betrayal During February Sweeps on B&B

Now Ridge is relentlessly nagging Taylor Hayes. And it looks like Ridge got to her. But I think Taylor is going to backtrack the moment she sees Deacon Sharpe and he kisses her and takes her in his arms and says, “We’ll figure it out.”

As many times as Ridge has let Taylor down, I don’t think she’s going to pass up this shot at a forever kind of love and commitment. And we do know from a recent interview with Kimberlin Brown that Sheila is definitely going to find out and then there will be hell to pay for Deacon, for Taylor, and maybe some others.

I think Deacon and Taylor are going to decide that they will face the consequences head-on together. That way, if nothing else, then they still have each other. I’m pretty sure Sheila Carter is going to find out about them towards the end of February sweeps, which wraps up on February 25th, by the way.

Financial Consequences and the Divorce Fight for Il Giardino on Bold

So, I want to talk about the epic fallout that Deacon Sharpe and Taylor Hayes are going to face when Sheila Carter finds out that Taylor stole her man. The first thing I can see is Sheila making a huge scene at Il Giardino that would embarrass her husband.

Since Deacon and Sheila are married and I don’t recall her signing a prenup, she may hit Deacon’s right where it hurts – in the assets. Deacon is planning to relaunch Bikini Bar and Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) is going to invest in him expanding the business.

Instead of going at Deacon Sharpe with a gun, maybe Sheila Carter just takes half of Il Giardino and once she finds out about Bikini Bar, which Deacon is keeping a secret right now, Sheila may snatch half of that, too. I mean, that’s the way most Los Angeles divorces work.

The guy cheats, and then the wife hits him in the wallet, takes half his cash, his homes, the cars, and then goes and gets a facelift and gets her groove back. I mean, of all the outcomes, Taylor and Deacon should actually prefer consequences that are strictly financial in nature. That would be getting off really cheap rather than Sheila trying to hurt them.

Taylor Hayes Risks Her Medical License and Professional Reputation on Bold and the Beautiful

Another set of consequences we could see are for Taylor. It is absolutely unethical to date your patient as Ridge Forrester was just about. But Deacon was quick to tell Ridge, “Oh, I’m no longer her patient.”

Here’s the thing. I’m sure Taylor knows this, but I’ll tell you guys, because I did a little research. As a psychiatrist, it is unethical to ever date a former patient. If she was just a therapist, like with a master’s degree or a PhD, that would be one thing.

Because she’s an MD, that’s totally different. If she was a therapist and a PhD person, there’s a two-year minimum waiting period to date a former patient. But as an actual MD doctor, which Taylor is, then Deacon is technically permanently off limits to Taylor or she could lose her license on Bold and the Beautiful.

Sheila could destroy Taylor’s professional reputation for sleeping with a patient. Probably get her fired. I can even see Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) helping Sheila do this because Li hates cheaters since she was married to Jack Finnegan (Ted King) who, you know, ironically cheated with Sheila. Plus, Li is a doctor, so I’m sure she dislikes when other doctors do unethical things. Even though Li is the queen of unethical out-of-hospital resurrections, she might feel like it’s her duty to report Taylor.

Steffy Forrester’s Threat to Ban Taylor Hayes from Her Grandkids on B&B

The third fallout scenario could be really, really bad. Steffy Forrester may follow through on her ultimatum and kick Taylor Hayes out of her life, and she may block her mom from seeing the grandkids, which would also be ironic since Steffy has barred Sheila from Finn (Tanner Novlan) and their kids’ lives.

Now that would be Steffy basically putting Taylor in the same category as Sheila. So, that would definitely sting. And of course, Ridge Forrester is siding 100% with Steffy, and he approves of the ultimatum. But Taylor may decide that Steffy will calm down eventually and get over it if Sheila will accept the divorce and move on and doesn’t go nuts.

Hope Logan and Deke Sharpe Attempt to Reason with Sheila Carter

A fourth possible outcome is that Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) go to work on Sheila Carter and try to stop her from going nuts. Deke has made it very clear he doesn’t want Deacon with Sheila and will never accept his dad being with her.

Deke told her again this week and that’s when Sheila cracked the joke about killing him if he got between her and Deacon. And Deke didn’t find it funny. Her stepson didn’t like that at all. I do think he and Hope Logan would confront Sheila and tell her, “You better not hurt our dad. Just accept the divorce. Let Deacon move on peacefully,” because if Sheila hurts Deacon, I’m sure that Deke and Hope would make sure that she is arrested and prosecuted.

Deacon’s kids might remind Sheila Carter that she’s always saying she’s changed and now is when she can prove it. Plus, Hope and Deke might mention that if Sheila physically hurts Taylor Hayes or Deacon Sharpe, she’ll spend the rest of her life in prison. They may try and reason with her and get Sheila to just move on with dignity.

All right, fifth and final. Let’s talk about the absolute worst-case scenario, the worst fallout, the one that Steffy is really scared of. And that could be that Sheila finds out that Deacon’s fallen in love with Taylor and Sheila flips back to her old psycho self and turns violent.

Sheila could come gunning for Taylor l and Deacon tries to stop her, gets in the way and it could be a replay of the whole Steffy/Finn situation. We could see Sheila aiming a gun at Taylor and Deacon jumps in the way and takes a bullet and then Sheila goes ahead and shoots Taylor also like she did Steffy, remember?

Then she runs off and leaves Deacon and Taylor to bleed out like she did Steffy and Finn. It would be an absolute repeat of the past. And Brad Bell loves to repeat plots. In the end, I expect Sheila won’t get away with killing them. They will survive, but she may try.

If she does, I think Taylor and Deacon would survive. But Sheila’s rage and heartbreak are going to be terrifying to reckon with. Let’s just hope for the outcome that’s not that worst-case scenario.

The 2010 TV series Spartacus set the standard for ancient Rome/gladiator-centered stories on the small screen. Up to that point, ambitious storytelling was limited to feature films like the 2003 epic Gladiator. Spartacus became a global phenomenon as the gladiators tore through Roman society to free others from slavery. In 2024, eleven years had passed since fans had seen a good gladiator story on television. Those About to Die premiered on 18th July 2024 and immediately scratched that eleven-year itch. Made for the fledgling American streaming service Peacock, Those About to Die broke barriers when it went global on Prime Video, becoming one of the most talked about shows of that year. Two years later, Those About to Die is still showing signs of life.

Streaming data from FlixPatrol shows the Iwan Rheon-led drama experiencing renewed interest on another streaming service, Starz, which is fitting given that Starz is where Spartacus calls home. There is also a huge appetite for the ambitious series in Arabic-speaking countries. There is also significant interest in Nigeria, as Those About to Die is in the top ten most-watched shows on Amazon. Those About to Die follows a large ensemble of characters who find themselves in the city of dreams and ambition, Rome, through various means. It examines the disparities in life between the ordinary resident and the aristocratic elite in the context of Roman politics and entertainment.

‘Those About to Die’ Remains In Limbo

Two years later, the show has never been officially cancelled or renewed despite series director and executive producer Roland Emmerich expressing the desire to continue the story. “We have this idea to do a Godfather Part II model. Meaning, Godfather 1 was this perfect movie, and they said, “What should we do?” They went into the past,” he said in an interview. “You show how all this came to be, that Domitian (Jojo Macari) became emperor, and that gets his son in trouble because he’s related to him. They go after him and he survives. Then, on the other hand, tell the story of all these characters and what happens further. I don’t want to give that away.”

And while Those About to Die might not have satisfied that hunger fully, the Spartacus universe recently came back to life with the offshoot Spartacus: House of Ashur. It is an alternate-history reimagining of events where Ashur didn’t die and became the Dominus of his own house. Season 1 concluded last week, and the show has shown great potential with a 91% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, in addition to topping streaming charts.

After big-screen international intrigue turns in movies like No Time to Die and Ballerina, Ana de Armas is taking her spycraft to the small screen. She’s circling a role in Safe Houses, a new spy drama from AppleTV. Also set to star on the series is Top Gun: Maverick‘s Jennifer Connelly.

According to reports, the series is based on the 2018 Dan Fesperman novel of the same name. It centers around the mysterious murder of a CIA agent in Madrid, and two women who are determined to get to the bottom of it. De Armas will play Sofia Jiménez, a fellow agent who’s been framed for the murder, while Connelly will play Ambassador Elizabeth Winthrop, the dead man’s widow. As the two race towards an inevitable collision, they uncover a global conspiracy. It will be de Armas’ first major television appearance since the early days of her career, starring on the Spanish TV drama El Internado.

What Have Ana de Armas and Jennifer Connelly Been Working On Lately?

De Armas has been on an action tear recently. After a scene-stealing and henchman-kicking performance in No Time to Die, Daniel Craig‘s swan song as James Bond, she starred in the actioners The Gray Man (alongside Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans) and Ghosted (alongside Adrien Brody and Evans, again). Last year, she headlined the John Wick spin-off Ballerina, starring as a renegade assassin out to avenge the murder of her father. She also played a manipulative baroness in Ron Howard‘s historical survival thriller Eden. She is next set to star as an obsessive fitness influencer in the psychological thriller Sweat, from director J Blakeson (I Care a Lot). Meanwhile, Connelly has kept a low profile lately after starring alongside Tom Cruise in the mega-hit Top Gun: Maverick. She starred in and executive produced the dark comedy Bad Behaviour in 2023, and currently stars in the AppleTV science fiction series Dark Matter alongside Joel Edgerton.

Safe Houses was created by Gideon Raff (Homeland). He will also executive produce alongside Alexandra Milchan, and with Paul Lee and David Flynn for Wiip. Raff will also direct several episodes, as will Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders). Sara Gonzalo will produce, while author Fesperman will serve as a consulting producer.

Last week’s episode of Will Trent kicked off an exciting new case while introducing a new love interest for Faith (Iantha Richardson). After meeting her dream guy, Malcolm (DeVaughn Nixon), at a bar, Faith was blindsided when she learned that he was one of the bank robbers in the case that Angie (Erika Christensen) and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) were investigating for the APD.

The case was not just a simple robbery, either: they came to the conclusion that Malcolm’s crew was hired to steal documents that would expose the misdoings of a company called Biosentia Pharmaceuticals. This week’s episode, “You’re Not That Person Anymore,” picks up shortly after last week’s episode left off, with Faith now determined to keep her cover long enough to find evidence tying Malcolm’s crew to Biosentia Pharmaceuticals.

In ‘Will Trent’ Season 4, Episode 6, The Investigation Into Malcolm Boils Over in a Painful Conclusion

Faith puts her own feelings aside this week to use her position to try to get more information from Malcolm. Amanda (Sonja Sohn) is concerned and wants her to quit while she’s ahead, but she’s overruled by Faith and Will (Ramón Rodríguez). Faith uses a necklace with a camera to give the rest of the team a look at what she’s seeing, so Ormewood and Franklin (Kevin Daniels) learn the identity of two of the men Malcolm is working with: his childhood friend, Winston Terry, and a man associated with Biocentia Pharmaceuticals named Clinton Starling. That night, Malcolm tells Faith that he loves her, and she says it back, clearly meaning it. It’s a compelling and tough dilemma for Faith, because beyond just the danger of the situation, she’s forced to choose between love and her job (not unlike Will had to with Angie two seasons ago).

Seth (Scott Foley) uses his position as a doctor to help Angie figure out that Biocentia Pharmaceuticals was manufacturing a drug for post-surgery bleeding called Evalia that caused liver failure in some patients after use (Ormewood also took this drug after his tumor was removed, but he didn’t have this side effect). Biocentia Pharmaceuticals knew about this but hid it, until Malcolm and his crew stole the documents and started blackmailing the company with them. Meanwhile, Malcolm’s crew assembles at his house, and Winston expresses his doubts about Faith. When he pulls a gun on her, Ormewood and Franklin storm the house, enacting their plan a little early. They arrest everyone, including Faith, diverting suspicion away from her. While Faith is in the holding cell with Malcolm later, he tells her about his son, Quentin, who died when he was eight. Malcolm might usually rob banks, but this one is personal for him: Quentin had a heart condition and died because of Evalia, and now Malcom wants justice for his death.

Amanda and Faith get into a big fight when Amanda insists on pulling Faith off the case and makes her end things with Malcolm. Faith breaks up with him without revealing her true identity. Later, Amanda has an embolism from her previous injury. She’s okay, and she and Faith make up, then Faith admits how real her feelings are for Malcolm. Winston figures out Faith’s identity, tracks her down, and takes her captive at gunpoint. The GBI and APD go to the meetup where Malcolm’s crew is planning to hand the documents over to Biocentia Pharmaceuticals, all while Faith is still held captive. Malcolm struggles with learning the truth, but he still cares about Faith and even shoots and kills Winston to save her life. He can’t bring himself to untie her, though, so she has to free herself.

Malcolm then goes to meet with Neville Gordon (Andrew Polk), the head of Biocentia Pharmaceuticals, to make it look like he’s going to hand over the files for money. Instead, though, Malcolm tells him off and shows him a picture of Quentin, then he prepares to kill Neville. He’s interrupted by Faith, who stops him with a gun and then gives him a tragic goodbye. It’s a beautiful and nuanced end to this storyline, because Malcolm isn’t just a villain. He really does love Faith, but this connection was always doomed. As Faith puts it, “Because you rob banks, and I arrest people who rob banks.” Ormewood then interrupts the moment, concerned with Faith’s safety, but he drops his weapon when she asks him to. Faith says an emotional goodbye to Malcolm, then both Malcolm and Neville are arrested.

In ‘Will Trent’ Season 4, Episode 6, Will Finally Lets Angie Go, and She Marries Seth

In a much less suspenseful subplot, Angie overhears Seth on the phone discussing their wedding with his sisters. His mom wants Seth and Angie to have a big, fancy wedding, but Seth is worried about scaring Angie off. When one of his sisters suggests that Angie might not want to get married, it’s clear that Seth has his doubts and insecurities, and Angie becomes determined to prove her love to him. Angie enlists Franklin to help her plan an impromptu wedding, and while she obviously loves Seth, it seems like part of the rush is to commit now and squash both his doubts and her own.

Later, Will goes to the bathroom to check on Angie at work, and she’s working on her vows but struggling to write them. Things are awkward between them after Will stormed out of the elevator last episode, but he still tries to help her. This could have been a romantic scene that showed the two of them still pining after each other, but instead, it’s a brilliant scene that shows why they aren’t a good fit. Will reminisces by bringing up moments in their relationship when Angie’s addiction caused problems, and she goes along with it, but it’s more uncomfortable than sweet. Will notices this too, and he then tells her that she isn’t that person anymore. This allows both of them to finally move on. Angie encourages Will to feel the baby through her stomach, and they share a lovely moment, letting each other go romantically.

After Will advises Angie to write from her heart, she surprises Seth with a beautiful impromptu wedding in the place where they first met, officiated by Franklin. It’s a touching scene, both for this relationship and for Angie’s character. The problem is, there are clearly still feelings between Angie and Will, and a wedding this early in the season never bodes well for a procedural couple. As of right now, my hunch tells me that Seth might get killed off later this season, but as someone who enjoys this pairing, I really liked the wedding scene. The next day, both Faith and Will are feeling heartbroken – she over Malcolm’s arrest, and he over Angie’s wedding – but they sit together in their pain over breakfast sandwiches.

Detox your life! Sabrina Sweet, better known as Miss Lymph, has become the go-to for Hollywood It-girls looking to de-puff and de-stress. Now, the California based lymphatic drainage expert is sharing her tips for feeling lighter from the inside out with ET.

Sweet’s approach blends traditional manual lymphatic drainage with Brazilian techniques, myofascial release, and hands-on muscle manipulation, all designed to help you let go from head to toe.

“The lymphatic system and nervous system are deeply connected. When we slow the body down, use gentle, intentional touch, and bring the system out of fight or flight, the body finally feels safe to relax,” she shares.

“A lot of stored stress and emotion lives in stagnation. When flow is restored, release happens naturally without forcing it,” the founder adds.

As for how her particular technique works: “I’m very intentional and purposeful. It’s a less-is-more style that’s slow, rhythmic, and deeply calming.”

And what it’s never? “Nothing is rushed or aggressive. … Harder is not better, and just using tools or machines is not lymphatic drainage,” the professional dancer explains.

Instead, Sweet focuses less on before-and-after photos and more on helping the body get rid of stored tension, stress, and negative emotion.

“There are physical results, of course, but beyond that it’s a feeling of clarity and softness. … People leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and more connected to their bodies. That’s where the real transformation happens.”

Between monthly appointments, the podcast host recommends adding feel-good habits into your routine for the best results.

“Drinking clean, high-quality water, eating nourishing whole foods, and doing light movement like yoga, stretching, dancing, or swimming is huge,” she notes.

For wellness enthusiasts, she also suggests regularly using a sauna, gua sha, and vibration plate, or dry brushing and rebounding on a mini trampoline.

But according to the CEO, true detoxification involves more than finding ways to reduce water retention.

“Try to work through any emotional blocks or unresolved trauma so that it doesn’t create stagnation in the body. … Cut out toxic partners, friendships, or jobs, and overall negativity. … Where you place your attention matters, so choose wisely. It all starts with you.”

Imagine getting yourself into so much trouble that you decide the best thing to do for your personal safety is to stage a fight with a cop so they arrest you. This solution, as seen in 2021’s Copshop, may seem simple enough because there’s no safer place than a holding cell hidden behind a bulletproof door. The problem is that one of the men who has a bounty on you knows exactly where you’re hiding, so he stages a drunk driving accident with the intention of getting booked and transported to the cell across from the one you’re currently hiding out in until things blow over.

Even worse, there’s yet another psychopath who’s after both of you and has absolutely no qualms about mowing down an entire police station with machine guns for the love of the game. He’s also friendly with a couple of corrupt officers on the inside, meaning you’re all pretty much dead meat because the only person on duty at this late hour is a rookie cop who’s not incompetent by any stretch of the imagination, but severely outnumbered.

Here’s the thing about Copshop, as well as a bunch of other neo noir crime thrillers that fall in this wheelhouse. They’re billed as action films, mystery films, and suspense films, but they’re never called comedies despite the fact that they’re way more fun than they have any right to be. Watching Copshop is such a treat because it plays things straight, while also maintaining a wicked sense of humor that keeps the entire experience infinitely rewatchable.

Location, Location, Location

Copshop first introduces us to a fixer on the run named Teddy Murretto (Frank Grillo). Teddy takes on a job that gets him in trouble with some very dangerous people in high places, resulting in his desperate attempt to lay low until things blow over. His plan is simple. Punch rookie cop Val Young (Alexis Louder) in the face in front of witnesses so he gets dragged to the precinct and processed. He does exactly that and thinks he’s safe for a while, but matters get complicated when one of the hitmen hired to ice him, Bob Viddick (Gerard Butler), catches wise to this plan and tracks him down.

Bob Viddick intentionally gets himself arrested by pretending to drive drunk and crashing into a routine traffic stop in the area, knowing he’ll be brought to the same jail. Unaware of the larger scheme at play, Val throws the hitman into the holding cell across from Teddy, and the two immediately start exchanging threatening words once they’re left alone.

Meanwhile, Officer Huber (Ryan O’Nan) starts snooping around the evidence locker because he’s been skimming drugs from inventory, which has rightfully made Sergeant Duane Mitchell (Chad Coleman) suspicious of his extracurricular activities.

To make matters infinitely worse, there’s yet another dangerous man named Tony Lamb (Toby Huss) who knows exactly where both Murretto and Viddick are located, and he just so happens to be working with Officer Huber. Tony Lamb is a picture-perfect psychopath who laughs his way through the precinct while pumping the place full of lead. A rival hitman to Viddick, the only thing Lamb cares about is stealing the job out from under him and cashing in on the bounty. As chaos unfolds inside the police station, Val realizes she’s alone in her attempts to neutralize the situation and will have to take matters into her own hands.

Absolute Bedlam Behind Bulletproof Glass

The story told in Copshop is a fairly simple one, but it’s executed flawlessly. The dynamic between a rookie cop with a home team advantage and the people who have infiltrated her station to play their war games makes for some supremely tense moments once everybody’s motives become clear. Val, who clearly has combat experience despite being relatively new to the force, isn’t a damsel in distress, but she’s undeniably outnumbered.

Tony Lamb unloads ammo on anybody who crosses his path, seemingly on impulse, and you can tell he’s the scariest guy in the room based entirely on how much fun he’s having. Viddick and Murretto are a bit more complicated because they’re both trying to win Val’s trust in order to gain the upper hand. The problem for them is that they got themselves arrested under false pretenses, meaning they’re professional liars by default.

Good, Violent Fun

Copshop, while not necessarily offering anything new to this locked down brand of neo noir crime thrillers, succeeds because everybody brings their A game. There’s always humor behind the menace, especially from Toby Huss, who’s having just a little too much fun portraying Tony Lamb with sadistic glee. The entire premise is a spectacle because there’s no better place to stage a shootout than a building with a literal armory on site, and Copshop takes full advantage of its setting.

Part of the fun of watching Copshop comes from knowing that every single antagonist is a terrible person. Val is forced to decide which of these men she can work with if she wants to make it out of the station alive, and the unfortunate reality is that she probably shouldn’t trust any of them. If you find yourself wondering how this is all going to play out and could use a bit of levity to carry you through an otherwise tense, action-packed thriller, you can stream Copshop on Netflix as of this writing.
