Marvel Studios’ X-Menreboot is beginning to come into focus. After years of speculation surrounding which actors would inherit some of Marvel’s most iconic mutant roles, the studio has reportedly found another key member of Charles Xavier’s team. Just days after reports emerged that Samara Weaving had landed the role of Emma Frost, another cornerstone of the franchise now appears to have been cast.
According to Deadline, Kit Connor has been chosen to play Cyclops, also known as Scott Summers, in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot. Neither Marvel Studios nor Connor’s representatives have commented on the report. It had been speculated that Disney and Marvel were keen to sort out the casting before D23, and it looks like that might be the case.

Science fiction as a whole is a relatively young genre, but since as far back as the very early 20th century, it has been one of the oldest and most foundational in the history of cinema as a storytelling medium. As such, it should be no surprise that throughout film history, several of the best movies ever made have been science fiction stories.
Whether it’s a modern sci-fi-adventure blockbuster like Dune: Part Twoor a classic arthouse sci-fi masterpiece like Stalker, the best sci-fi movies in film history are all irrefutable proof of the tremendous narrative, emotional, and thematic power that this genre has always held. These are powerful futuristic reflections of the problems of the real world, while also being among the most engrossing motion pictures in the art form’s history.

‘Dune: Part Two’ (2024)

Frank Hebert‘s Duneis nothing short of one of the greatest and most important works of science fiction literature in history, so it was never a surprise that attempts to translate it onto the big screen had historically been all-out failures. That was until Denis Villeneuve came into the picture. But as great as 2021’s Dune was, it’s Dune: Part Twothat will easily be remembered as one of the best sci-fi movies of the 21st century even a few decades from now.
It’s one of the best adventure movies in film history, Villeneuve’s vision of the world of Dune matching Herbert’s unique imagination perfectly. From the jaw-dropping visuals to Hans Zimmer‘s unforgettable score to the perfectly-crafted screenplay, this cautionary tale against the dangers of charismatic leaders is among the strongest book-to-screen adaptations in recent memory.

‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ (2004)

Directed by Michel Gondry and penned by Charlie Kaufman (who may very well be the greatest screenwriter currently working in Hollywood), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mindis one of those soft sci-fi movies that are absolutely perfect from the first scene to the last. But far from being your typical sci-fi film, this romance dramedy is a deeply humanistic drama first and a soft sci-fi gem second.
Indeed, the way Kaufman and Gondry employ sci-fi elements and tropes to elevate this profoundly existential story about the complexities of human connection is nothing short of masterful. Bolstered by Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet at their very best, Eternal Sunshine is one of the most paintfully realistic yet beautifully bittersweet romance dramas in film history.

What really makes Terminator 2 stand out even all these many years later is that it offers the perfect balance between high-octane action set pieces and a surprisingly emotional story. Thanks to its tremendous budget (the highest of any movie in history back in 1991), its many action sequences are absolutely riveting from beginning to end. And thanks to a phenomenal cast and a wonderfully-written script, it’s also a deeply moving tale about an unlikely friendship.

‘Blade Runner’ (1982)

Ridley Scott‘s output throughout the 21st century has generally been quite hit-or-miss, but back during the 20th century, he was genuinely one of the greatest filmmakers working in Hollywood. For proof, one needn’t look any further than Blade Runner, one of the best sci-fi movies of all time. Part neo-noir detective story, part cyberpunk action flick, it’s truly one of the most iconic masterpieces in Hollywood history.
That wasn’t always the case. Back when it originally released, Blade Runner was an all-around commercial and critical flop. It was home video that granted it a second life, allowing it to become the massive cult classic that it’s still remembered as today. Perfectly directed, hugely complex, deeply atmospheric, and endlessly analyzable, it’s a must-see for anyone who loves science fiction.

‘Alien’ (1979)

As if any more proof were needed that sci-fi as a whole owes an awful lot to Ridley Scott, Alienis probably the greatest sci-fi horror movie ever made. While this blend of genres was definitely not uncommon before 1979, Scott essentially revolutionized it, polishing it with a level of artfulness and with an A-level budget that completely changed the way sci-fi horror was approached going forward.
It’s one of those horror movies without any flaws, a haunted house in space that anyone who loves horror, science fiction, or even just filmmaking as a whole ought to watch at least once in their lives. With a top-tier Sigourney Weaver performance, stunning production values that have aged like fine wine, and a level of slow-burning atmosphere rarely seen in either of Alien‘s genres, what’s not to love?

‘Back to the Future’ (1985)
The Back to the Futureseries is one of the most universally-beloved movie trilogies of all time, but as far as quality and iconicity go, it doesn’t get any better than the original. One of the most popular sci-fi blockbusters in film history, this delectably ’80s-y masterpiece is not only Robert Zemeckis‘ magnum opus, but also one of the greatest popcorn flicks in the history of cinema.
Back to the Future is irrefutable proof that sci-fi movies don’t need to be extremely artsy in order to be genuinely flawless, because there is simply nothing to complain about when watching this masterpiece. From Marty’s first time-travel to his climactic return to 1985, Back to the Future is filled to the brim with unforgettable set pieces, excellent performances, great music, and production values that have aged wonderfully.

The Star Wars franchise is, simply put, the biggest and most successful multimedia franchise in history. But as full as it is of enthralling pieces of media, it was the original trilogy that started it all, and it’s almost universally agreed-upon that Episode V — The Empire Strikes Backis the best that the whole Star Wars franchise has ever been.
Where can one even begin singing Empire‘s praises? It contains several of the most immensely entertaining sci-fi set pieces in film history, one of John Williams‘ most beloved scores, one of the scariest sci-fi movie villains of all time, and the single most iconic plot twist in film history. Blockbusters simply don’t get any better or more universally appealing than this.

Disciplined, compassionate, and deeply attuned to the living Force, you have walked the path long enough to understand its demands — and accept them. You lead not through authority alone, but through example. You have felt the pull of the dark side and chosen otherwise, every time. That is not certainty. That is courage.
You are earnest, powerful, and brimming with potential — and you know it, which is both your greatest asset and your most dangerous flaw. You act before you think, trust your gut over your training, and sometimes confuse impatience for bravery. The Masters see something in you, though. The question isn’t whether you have what it takes — it’s whether you’ll be patient enough to find out.
You are not simply dangerous — you are certain, and that is worse. You have decided what the galaxy needs, and you have decided you are the one to deliver it. Your power is genuine and formidable, earned through sacrifice that would have broken lesser beings. But examine your victories carefully. Every Sith believed their cause was righteous. The dark side’s cruelest trick is that it agrees with you.
You were forged in fire and reshaped by those who found you at your lowest. You serve, because service gave you structure when you had none. Your allegiance is not to an ideology — it is to survival and to the master who gave you purpose. But there is something buried beneath the conditioning. The Jedi you hunt? You recognize them. Because you remember what it felt like before the choice was taken from you.
You have looked at the Jedi Code and the Sith Code and found both of them incomplete. You walk the line not out of indecision but out of conviction — you genuinely believe both extremes miss something essential. The Jedi don’t fully trust you. The Sith think you’re wasting your potential. They’re both partially right. But so are you.

‘Metropolis’ (1927)
Image via Parufamet
When talking about film history’s most important sci-fi classics, the conversation can never be complete without Fritz Lang‘s Metropolis. This silent German epic is one of those perfect sci-fi movies that are pure cinema, the sort of classic masterpiece that tends to make people go “they sure don’t make ’em like that anymore.” When talking about Metropolis, that’s not any sort of exaggeration.
Lang’s magnum opus is still one of the most stunning sci-fi filmmaking achievements in film history even after nearly a century of its release. On paper, it’s a relatively simple story about class differences and the conflicts between the heart and the mind, but the wonders that Lang pulls off with that premise must be seen to be believed. Technically masterful, emotionally stirring, and packed with unforgettable imagery, it’s one of the most essential masterpieces in the genre’s history.

‘Stalker’ (1979)
Image via Goskino
Andrei Tarkovsky was far more than just a simple filmmaker: He was a poet with a camera, one of the most important and revolutionary arthouse filmmakers in the history of European cinema. The Soviet auteur only made two sci-fi movies during his career, and though some may argue in favor of Solaris being superior, it’s Stalker that’s more often recognized as one of the greatest sci-fi movies in history.
Those who prefer more traditionally entertaining popcorn blockbusters to provide their sci-fi movie fix are probably better off looking elsewhere. However, those who love artful, slow-burning, meditative science fiction ought to experience Stalker at least once in their lives. It’s one of the most poetic sci-fi movies of all time, an endlessly analyzable masterpiece that grows even more complex and spiritually provocative with every rewatch.

Frank Poole (Gary Lockwood) and Dave Bowman (Keir Dullea) try to have a private conversation as HAL looks on from behind in 2001: A Space Odyssey.Image via Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
Far more than just one of the best sci-fi epic movies of all time, 2001: A Space Odysseyis perfect proof of why many would confidently call Stanley Kubrick the greatest filmmaker in Hollywood history. With a perfect balance between slow-burning arthouse atmosphere and the sort of high-budget technical wonders that you expect from an A-lister Hollywood production, it’s one of the most essential masterpieces in film history, regardless of genre.
What’s not to love and praise when watching 2001? Kubrick’s direction is as powerfully evocative as it is technically impressive, HAL 9000 is one of the most effective villains in film history, the music and visuals are high art in and of themselves, and the way the whole story is paced is enthralling without ever losing its arthouse-coded charm. There is no sci-fi movie more perfect than 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The comedian and Grohl, who used to be friends, had a falling out following the controversial post Griffin shared, depicting a fake Donald Trump-inspired head that appeared to have been severed.
Years after the 2017 incident, Griffin is now explaining how it affected her life, both professionally and emotionally.
Opening up on a recent episode of “Talk Your Head Off,” Griffin detailed her falling out with her “former friend” Grohl.
Describing their past relationship, the comedian said the two were on friendly terms. She even pointed to a 2011 promotional video she filmed alongside the “Foo Fighters.”
However, Griffin explained that their dynamic completely shifted after her controversial post about Trump. Recalling their run-in at John F. Kennedy International Airport shortly after the incident, Griffin explained that she spotted Grohl standing near a newsstand.
Uncertain of how he would react, she hesitated to reach out first. “I didn’t want to initiate a conversation because I was so used to celebrities not wanting anything to do with me or wanting anyone to even see them standing next to me,” she admitted.
“Then Dave acted like he didn’t know me. Maybe he didn’t see me, because I’m so hard to miss at a newsstand,” she added.

The awkwardness continued once they boarded the plane, where Griffin noticed they were seated just two spots apart from each other. Though she briefly considered approaching him on board, she decided against it to avoid an uncomfortable situation.
Kathy Griffin Recently Opened Up About Her Career Comeback After Years of Exile
Alongside her personal falling out with former celebrity friends, Griffin has also spoken about the broader impact the 2017 incident had on her career.
Almost nine years after the incident, the comedian revealed that she finally feels vindicated and views herself as “uncanceled,” per The Blast.

Reflecting on the aftermath, Griffin shared that she never expected public perception to swing back in her favor after years of professional isolation. She also revealed that she did not work for seven years as a result of the controversy.
While acknowledging that the infamous image remains tied to her public identity, Griffin noted that she now feels a renewed sense of confidence as she continues to build her career on her own terms.
Kathy Griffin Still Gets ‘Confronted’ About The Donald Trump Photo
Months before Griffin expressed relief about finally being “uncanceled,” she admitted that the photo still haunts her.
Attending the Out100 event in November 2025, where she was honored as Advocate of the Year, she opened up about how she navigates ongoing public confrontations, as reported by The Blast.
Griffin shared that while her perspective on life has evolved, she no longer expects to change other people’s minds and has even formed friendships with individuals holding different political views.

However, she noted that the controversial photo remains a sore spot, admitting that certain Trump supporters still approach her to voice their anger. Interestingly, while some Trump fans still criticize her for the incident, others praise her for it.
Kathy Griffin Sparked Online Frenzy After Teasing Romance With A Much Younger Man
Similarly, in her usual fashion of stirring up public debate, Griffin recently ignited a frenzy online by introducing a surprisingly younger companion to her followers.
According to The Blast, she uploaded a snapshot featuring herself alongside an unnamed 22-year-old companion. Inviting public reaction to their substantial age difference, the comedian cheekily captioned the image, “He’s 22. Have at it, internet.”
Followers quickly flooded the post with contrasting opinions. Skeptical fans warned her against rushing into anything serious, with one user advising, “Just don’t marry him,” while another reminded her of past comments regarding age gaps in her previous relationships.
Kathy Griffin Revealed That The Age-Gap Prank Was A Social Experiment
Following the public reaction to her post, Griffin stepped forward to clarify that the apparent romance was nothing more than a lighthearted joke.
Addressing her followers on social media, the performer explained that the post was a deliberate sociological experiment designed to see how the public would react to a massive age difference.
“You guys! Thanks to all those who participated in my social media sociological experiment,” she wrote, per The Blast.
She further explained that he was simply assisting her with security during a trip to New York City, and went on to highlight what she views as a clear double standard in Hollywood regarding age-gap relationships.

Hagrid and Dobby Get Their Own Illustrated Guides
The Wizarding World started on the page, after all. Now, Bloomsbury Publishing is officially expanding its Pocket Potters line with two new books centered on two of Harry’s closest friends: Dobby and Rubeus Hagrid. While they’re aimed at younger readers, they’re also exactly the kind of collectible releases that fans who definitely don’t need more Harry Potter merchandise will buy anyway. Accio, books!
Pocket Potters: Hagrid is illustrated by Olia Muza, whose previous work in the series includes the Ron Weasley guide. The book will focus on the lovable Hogwarts groundskeeper’s world, from the warmth of his hut, Fang the dog, his teeth-crunching rock cakes, and his best buddies: the acromantula spiders that haunt the Forbidden Forest. It’ll also explore more fun things like the contents of his pockets, his other, more exotic pets, and his life as Care of Magical Creatures teacher. Blast-ended Skrewts are not included as part of the package.

Likewise, Pocket Potters: Dobby is illustrated by Helen Brady, who is also behind the upcoming Luna Lovegood edition. This fun little guide will focus on details from Dobby’s story, like his earlier life at Malfoy Manor, his love of socks and bobble hats, and that unforgettable incident where Aunt Petunia’s hand-made dessert ended up all over the Dursleys’ dinner guests that night in Privet Drive.
The pair joins existing Pocket Potters releases for Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Professor Dumbledore, and Luna Lovegood. Each book is full of quotes, story moments, illustrations, and small facts designed to introduce young readers to the Wizarding World in a colorful way.
Pocket Potters: Hagrid and Pocket Potters: Dobby both arrive on August 13 in the UK. Harry Potter will arrive on HBO and HBO Max on December 25.
Tori Spelling is leaving the door open for a potential podcast return.
Finally speaking up after she walked away from the “90210MG” podcast, which she has co-hosted with her longtime friend Jennie Garth since 2020. The actress announced via social media that she was stepping away from the podcast to focus on other things.
Tori Spelling’s exit came as a shock to fans who ultimately raised questions about whether there’s been a rift in the hosts’ friendship.
5ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA
Spelling has finally opened up about her surprising exit from her and Garth’s podcast, which they began together over five years ago. Revealing her stance on the future, the actress noted that a return is not completely off the books for her.
She opened up to fans while appearing on an Instagram Live with one of her former “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars, Brian Austin Green, on Wednesday. The pair answered fans’ questions during the Live, including one from a fan asking whether she would return to the podcast.
Green, helping Spelling answer the question, shared that she needed time to “gather her thoughts” before chiming in that she should “never say never” about a return.
As reported by TMZ, the actress liked her co-star’s answer before adding a sprinkle of her own thoughts. She stated that she would like to “really reflect” and “assess” the matter so she can speak her truth “in a thoughtful way” rather than reactively.
While many headlines have suggested there seems to be a rift in the longtime besties’ friendship, neither of them has confirmed the speculation. A source, however, disclosed that the pair had been at odds in recent months before Spelling announced she was done with the show at the end of July.
Insiders also claim that the issue has run so deep that their friendship could be over forever. On the Instagram Live, the actress was vocal about her support for the podcast and Garth. She encouraged fans to keep watching the show even though she was no longer on it.
Spelling also expressed that she has “love” for Garth and the “90210MG” producer, Amy Sugarman, who had stepped in to fill her shows. The show must go on, and Sugarman, by temporarily taking Spelling’s co-hosting spot, ensures the podcast does not face an unexpected hiatus.

Jennie Garth Supports Her Longtime Friends’ Decision
An insider close to the pair alleged that “Jennie is not a friend to Tori. Tori introduced her to every connection she has, and then she bailed on Tori and told her she was bad for her brand because of all the negative press about her.”
The Blast reported that the same source also claimed that Garth is a “rude person” who doesn’t take the time to check on her friend when she gets hospitalized.
Despite the rumors, Garth expressed that she was happy for Spelling and “excited for her to choose herself.” She clarified that although it was a sad turn of events since they started the show together, she holds no bitterness towards the actress for walking away.
Sugarman doubled down on Garth’s thought, stressing that Spelling made the decision and informed the team two weeks before they went public with the news. She added that everyone is rooting for the actress as she goes on to explore other opportunities.
The ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ Alum Puts Her Health First
Last year, while many fans were gearing up for the “90s After Dark Party” at Voltaire, initially scheduled for December 28, their excitement was cut short when the event was canceled. The Las Vegas party could not be held as scheduled after Spelling announced she had fallen ill.
She shared that she had been counting down the days leading up to the event to see her fans before her health took a turn for the worse. The decision not to push through with the show was admittedly hard for the actress.
Spelling stated that she had to “listen” to her body and “choose” her health, and thanked fans for “always showing me so much love and understanding.” The Blast reported that fans resonated with her decision, expressing their disappointment but applauding her stance on prioritizing her health.
Tori Spelling Previously Opened Up About Her Health Struggles
Nearly two months after the Las Vegas party incident, the actress finally detailed the health challenges she faced that led to the cancellation of the show. She disclosed that the sickness took a toll on her physical and mental well-being, as she could not work during that period.
Spelling revealed that the health challenge deeply affected her regular daily activities to the point that she needed help to walk to the bathroom to pee. She praised her five children and ex-husband, Dean McDermott, for being supportive during that period, as well as Garth for holding down the fort with their podcast.
As shared by The Blast, Spelling said she battled the worst flu-like symptoms from an illness that started in her sinuses before spreading to her Eustachian tube (found in the inner part of the ear). She worked her path to recovery with multiple rounds of antibiotics and a nasal rinse with medications.

While Rockstar hasn’t revealed exactly how long the presentation will be, the company says the event will offer an “extended look” at Grand Theft Auto VI, fueling speculation that fans will finally get an in-depth gameplay demonstration rather than another cinematic trailer.
What Fans Can Expect
Although Rockstar is keeping the contents under wraps, the timing makes perfect sense.

With Grand Theft Auto VI scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game is entering the final stretch of its marketing campaign. Industry analysts have long expected Rockstar to begin revealing gameplay systems, open world activities, and more details about protagonists Jason and Lucia as release day approaches.
Fans are hoping the presentation includes:
A full gameplay walkthrough
More details on Vice City and the state of Leonida
New story footage featuring Jason and Lucia
Information on weapons, vehicles, and customization
A closer look at GTA Online’s future
Rockstar has confirmed none of these features, but they’re among the most requested reveals from the community.

A Different Marketing Strategy
Rockstar has always taken an unconventional approach to marketing its biggest releases, but partnering with Netflix for early access is a surprising first.

Netflix subscribers will be able to watch the presentation six hours before it arrives on Rockstar’s own channels, highlighting the growing relationship between gaming and streaming platforms.
The announcement also comes after months of intense speculation surrounding a third trailer and gameplay reveal, with fans closely watching every Rockstar update for clues about when the marketing campaign would truly begin.
The Countdown Is On
After years of anticipation, leaks, delays, and record-breaking trailers, Rockstar appears ready to pull back the curtain on what many expect to be one of the biggest game launches in entertainment history.
With less than three months remaining until release, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look could finally answer many of the questions fans have been asking since the game’s reveal.

The last time Keke Wyatt made headlines, it wasn’t about a new look—it came after her son, Rahjah Ke’ Morton, shared claims about their relationship during his cancer battle. Keke has not publicly addressed Rahjah’s claims, but now the singer is turning heads with a fresh look and a message about feeling “Happy & Free.”
Stephen Colbertis reportedly dealing with another setback involving CBS, this time through his daughter, Madeleine Carlisle.
After spending years building a career within the network’s respected news division, Carlisle is said to be moving on from “60 Minutes.”
Her reported exit comes as the flagship program continues to grapple with major internal changes, adding another departure to a period of upheaval that has already seen several prominent figures leave the newsroom.

According to Status, Stephen Colbert’s daughter has decided to leave CBS’s flagship news magazine, “60 Minutes,” after four years as an associate producer.
Although her latest role began in 2022, her history with the program dates back even further.

Carlisle first joined the broadcast as an intern in 2017 before expanding her journalism résumé with positions at “The Atlantic” and TIME Magazine.
She later returned to “60 Minutes” in a production role, spending several years working behind the scenes at one of television’s most recognizable investigative news programs.
Colbert’s Daughter Exits As ‘60 Minutes’ Continues To Navigate Major Upheaval
Stephen Colbert’s daughter’s reported departure arrives as “60 Minutes” continues to weather significant internal disruption.
Status described the situation as an ongoing “brain drain,” with multiple producers reportedly leaving the program in the wake of a sweeping newsroom shake-up.
The turmoil followed the May dismissal of several high-profile journalists and producers during a day staff members reportedly nicknamed “Black Thursday.”

Among those who exited were correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega, along with executive producer Tanya Simon and executive editor Draggan Mihailovich.
The changes came after Paramount Skydance CEO and Chairman David Ellison appointed The Free Press founder Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief of CBS News in October 2025.
Weiss assumed the role despite having no previous broadcast news experience, a decision that continues to fuel conversation.
Stephen Colbert Shared Why The End Of ‘The Late Show’ May Have Been A Blessing
Carlisle’s exit comes months after the network pulled the plug on her father’s top-rated “Late Show,” ending Colbert’s 11-season run after CBS called the cancellation a “purely financial decision.”
Ahead of the final broadcast in May, the comedian reflected on his own farewell to “The Late Show” and why, in hindsight, the cancellation may have been an unexpected blessing.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Colbert admitted he never expected his run to end when it did. However, he shared that CBS may have “saved my life,” explaining that hosting the nightly program “takes a lot of bone marrow.”
He compared his uncertainty about the future to being “a college senior” preparing to graduate, saying he now had the time and energy to pursue long-delayed creative projects, including co-writing a new “Lord of the Rings” film with his son Peter, while remaining open to the next chapter.
Colbert Reveals His First Move After ‘The Late Show’ Ends
Stephen Colbert also opened up about what he planned to do after the end of the show. The 62-year-old told PEOPLE that his first days away from CBS would be centered on family milestones rather than another career move.
The television personality said he would spend the day after the final episode traveling to Washington, D.C., with his eight siblings and their spouses for his brother Tommy’s wedding.
Colbert joked that the family celebration would involve singing and getting “drunk,” adding that he loved the fact that the spotlight would no longer be on him.

“The next day focus is not on me, focus is on my brother. So much better,” he said.
Stephen Colbert Returns To TV After CBS Farewell With Unexpected New Gig
Contrary to his words, Colbert wasted little time stepping back into the host’s chair. As The Blast reported, just one day after the CBS finale aired, the host made a surprise return to late-night television with a familiar yet unexpected appearance on the Michigan public access show “Only in Monroe.”
The appearance carried special significance because Colbert had previously visited the same program in 2015 as part of a playful “dry run” before taking over “The Late Show.”
During the episode, Colbert leaned into the shift between hosting one of late night’s biggest shows and returning to a local community program.
He delivered a Michigan-focused monologue, covered local stories, and reunited with regular “Only in Monroe” hosts Michelle Baumann and Kaye Lani Rae Rafko Wilson.

Jack White joined him as the show’s musical director, while other celebrity appearances helped turn the unexpected comeback into an event that felt both nostalgic and deliberately low-key.
“I am so profoundly sad for Perez and his family and what they’re all going through. It’s truly unimaginable,” Booker, 55, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, August 5. “I have only spoken briefly with the family. I read the statement that his team released and want to honor their wishes at this impossible time.”
He went on, “Even the family is struggling to get updates due to the confidential security measures in place at the hospital because of how many people are trying to get information.”

On Tuesday, August 4, Miami-Dade police received multiple welfare calls after Hilton, 48, went live via TikTok, streaming disturbing acts of self-harm in what authorities have described as a “possible suicide” attempt.
“The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls regarding an individual who was live-streaming acts of self-harm on social media,” a department spokesperson told Us. “Deputies quickly located the individual’s residence, where they spoke with family members on scene, and confirmed he was alone inside.”

Their statement continued, “In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize deescalation by creating time, distance and opportunities for communication. At this time, deputies have tactfully disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation.”
