New Starfleet Academy Episode Takes One Small Step Forward, Then Totally Destroys Star Trek
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

Starfleet Academy has been steadily improving as a show, and the latest episode showcases some of that improvement with a fairly compelling Klingon storyline. Unfortunately, the quality of this tale is undermined by the show’s weird penchant for vulgarity and its bizarre destruction of one of the franchise’s most iconic planets. The result is an episode that Charles Dickens (one of Captain Kirk’s favorite authors) might have summed up, “It was the best of Trek, it was the worst of Trek.”
The worst part of this episode (and beware major spoilers from here on, space cadets!) is the revelation that the Klingon homeworld and most of their empire have been destroyed because the Burn made their dilithium reactors blow up. There is so much wrong with this: the Burn doesn’t magically cause dilithium to explode (it only blew up starships because dilithium going inert caused warp core breaches), and it’s bizarre the Klingons would use dilithium as a power source in the first place when rival empires like the Federation figured out how to power planets with fusion nearly a millennium ago.
It Was Not A Good Day To Die

This plot point gets even stupider when you consider that dilithium was becoming really scarce in the galaxy about 15-20 years before the Burn, so aliens (even ones as dumb as the Klingons) relying on it to power every planet in their empire would have switched to an alternative power source long before the Burn somehow blew every planet to smithereens. Like, the Klingons of this show were willing to embrace a triple parent model to save their race; are these writers really suggesting they wouldn’t have simply switched power sources, given that they had up to two decades of warning that dilithium wasn’t sustainable?
On a narrative level, it’s also depressing that Star Trek’s writers felt the need to destroy Qo’noS, one of the most iconic planets in the entire franchise. In this Starfleet Academy episode, the primary reason to do this is seemingly to give a tragic backstory to Jay-Den, the show’s sensitive, pacifist Klingon. This is Trek’s third trip to this well (after giving tragic backstory to Spock by destroying Vulcan and to Picard by destroying Romulus), and I’m getting pretty sick of writers who can’t motivate their characters through anything less than destroying billions of lives and forever altering franchise history.
If you’re a Klingon fan, this plot point is that much more horrifying because these aliens believe that the only way they can get into their version of heaven is to die in battle. Now, we know that the vast majority of them died without a weapon in their hands, meaning that they all went to Klingon hell. Doing this to the franchise’s most famous aliens for any reason would have been downright weird, but doing it just to make the new softboy Klingon seem interesting is downright insulting.
The Dirty Talking Doctor Returns

On an even stupider note, Voyager’s Doctor (the same one who was cracking poop jokes in the first episode) uses the phrase “Speech and debate is not for the chickensh*t;” when a cadet asks if he can talk like that, the cranky hologram cites the privilege of his age and how he has earned the right to talk however he wants to.
That’s a fine sentiment (signed, a professor who sometimes curses in class), but “chicken” has never, ever been used in Star Trek as a synonym for “coward.” So even if we accept that characters in the 32nd century are still using the word “sh*t” (which has been used in the real world for over a thousand years), it’s weird that the Doctor would pair it with “chicken” in a way that was completely at least one century (and quite possibly many centuries) before he was even programmed.
Not That There’s Anything Wrong With That!

The final major problem with this episode is how it hints that Jay-Den, the sensitive Klingon featured in this episode, may be gay. Now, there’s obviously nothing wrong with having a gay character, and a gay Klingon (something we’ve literally never seen before) could provide plenty of narrative opportunities for talented writers to explore.
But as several fans have pointed out on social media, this Klingon is an aspiring healer, so the show is seemingly embracing the “gay male nurse/gay male doctor” stereotype that is very prevalent in modern culture. This is a harmful stereotype that has led to bullying of real-life men in healthcare, and it’s a little weird to see a progressive Star Trek show set in the 32nd century embracing a weird, retrograde stereotype of the 21st century.
Of course, the franchise did the exact same thing with Culber, the gay doctor that Discovery killed off in Season 1. He was resurrected, but his name on Starfleet Academy’s weird memorial wall implies that he somehow died again offscreen. Considering how wholeheartedly Star Trek has embraced the problematic “killing your gays” trope, I can only hope Jay-Den survives his apparent sexual awakening!
Age Gap Discourse Is Without Honor

If you can get past the aforementioned problems, there are some interesting things to enjoy about the latest episode of Starfleet Academy. Holly Hunter’s centuries-old chancellor finally stops spinning in her chair long enough to hook up with her Klingon ex, and (in what feels like a fun throwback to The Original Series) their continued sexual chemistry may be the key to saving the Klingons. You see, the Federation has discovered a replacement for their lost homeworld, but these stubborn aliens would rather die out than receive charity.
Knowing this warrior race as well as she does, the chancellor arranges a kind of mock battle between Starfleet and the Klingons so the latter can feel like they have conquered the world. The whole plot feels like a fun homage to “A Matter of Honor,” the Next Generation episode where Riker learned that assuaging Klingon pride is often a matter of letting them think they’ve won. This episode also deserves credit for a realistic teacher moment in which the chancellor promptly lets Jay-Den think the mock fight between empires was his idea, which boosts his confidence as a student and gets him some brownie points with the Klingons.
A few more things worth mentioning: while the whole “murder most of these aliens and send them straight to hell” plot remains wildly offensive, this Starfleet Academy episode has some interesting insights into Klingon psychology. Plus, the burgeoning friendship between Caleb and Jay-Den is much more effective than I ever imagined, echoing interactions between fan-favorite pairings like Nog and Jake or Tendi and Rutherford.
Time To Activate Your TV’s Cloaking Device

It was also fun to see Starfleet cadets nerding out over honing their debate skills. Oh, and in a “it had to happen eventually” moment, the show’s half-Klingon, half-Jem-hadar master of cadets gets to offer some solid advice to someone rather than just stand around cartoonishly screaming. Unfortunately, this episode sandwiches its better parts between so much offensive, canon-destroying bullsh*t that it’s tough to even see (much less appreciate) what works well.
Last week, I gently praised Starfleet Academy for its snobs vs. slobs prank war episode, hoping that the series was leaning into the college shenanigans that it does well and not the deep Trek lore that it keeps handling so poorly. Unfortunately, this episode is a return to form in the worst possible way: the show wants to use this famous IP to tell sweeping stories of family, friendship, and diaspora, but they are doing so while running the franchise into the ground. Previously, I quoted Captain Kirk in reminding Paramount executives that “risk is part of the game” when it comes to this beloved brand’s storytelling.
I was hoping these creators might “boldly go” and do something that builds a future for the IP while honoring its past, all while quoting the franchise’s most famous character. Since these clearly hate The Original Series so much and clearly don’t care about the fandom, I figured I would send the same message using the cool, measured, and rational language that these millionaires might finally understand: “Making Star Trek is not for the chickensh*t!”

Natasha Lyonne Laughs Off Incident Of Being Escorted Off Plane
Natasha Lyonne is addressing her recent mid-flight drama, and she’s doing it with her sense of humor. The “Poker Face” star was escorted off a red-eye Delta Air Lines flight traveling from Los Angeles to New York following the season 3 premiere of “Euphoria.” Now, while attending the Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Spring Into Action Gala, she’s finally speaking out about the incident.
Natasha Lyonne Admits Flight Experience Was A ‘Doozy’

“Oh, you mean my flight plans? My performance art piece?” Lyonne teased when asked about the situation.
While she initially kept things light, Lyonne didn’t shy away from acknowledging the chaos of the situation. “It’s been a doozy,” she added, before noting she’s “grateful to be somewhat of a ‘Marathon Man.’”
Following the incident, Lyonne explained that her behavior was linked to a sleeping pill she had taken ahead of the flight. She said she had hoped to be “bushy tailed” and “beauty rested” upon landing, as she was scheduled to head straight into a glam session for an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
Inside Lyonne’s Mid-Flight Incident

Details surrounding Lyonne’s in-flight ordeal paint a chaotic picture of what unfolded before takeoff. According to eyewitness accounts, Lyonne appeared out of it while seated in first class, seemingly dozing behind her sunglasses as flight attendants repeatedly asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt. At one point, she was startled awake, exclaiming, “Ah! You scared me!”
Despite multiple attempts from the crew, she did not initially respond to instructions, prompting staff to eventually remove the laptop from her hands. Although the plane began taxiing toward the runway, it later turned back to the gate due to the situation.
A Delta staffer then boarded the aircraft and addressed Lyonne directly, asking, “Ma’am, do you need medical attention?” before adding, “Ma’am, I need you to come off the plane. Do you need help with your belongings?”
“Where are we?” Lyonne was overheard asking, only to be told, “We’re still in LA. The plane hasn’t gone anywhere,” and, “The plane is not going anywhere until you come off it.”
She reportedly shushed the gate agent before eventually getting up, calmly heading to the bathroom, and later emerging while eating a bag of pretzels. Lyonne then complied with the request and exited the plane after her luggage had already been removed.
Following the delay, the captain addressed passengers, explaining, “We have a passenger who for whatever reason … wouldn’t follow some basic commands … We had a passenger who didn’t seem up to the task tonight so that’s why they were asked to be booked on another flight. I do apologize for the inconvenience, but we will get you to New York as quickly and as safely as possible.”
The flight ultimately departed without further issues.
Natasha Lyonne Calls Out ‘Radical’ Label At NYC Gala

Despite the recent headlines, Lyonne stepped out in support of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, which honored Pink with the Catalyst of Change Award. “It seems odd that supporting the Women’s Healthcare organization has ‘become almost like a radical position when it’s just health care,’” Lyonne said, adding that it’s something everyone should care about “because this impacts all of us.”
The event also drew notable names, including Helena Christensen, Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater, and Patricia Arquette, and raised more than $1.2 million.
Lyonne Reflects On Relapse After 10 Years Sober

The situation comes amid a more personal chapter for Lyonne, who previously revealed she relapsed after 10 years of sobriety. However, the actress recently shared that she is now “doing a whole lot better” and is “back on her feet.”
Natasha Lyonne’s Bold ‘Euphoria’ Premiere Outfit Sparks Criticism

The flight incident also comes just days after Lyonne found herself at the center of online backlash following her appearance at the Euphoria Season 3 premiere. The actress turned heads on the red carpet in a bold, sheer black ensemble that left little to the imagination, stepping out in a completely see-through top that exposed her chest beneath the fabric.
While Lyonne appeared unfazed, confidently posing for photos and smiling throughout the event, the look quickly sparked a wave of criticism online, with social media users flooding comment sections to call out the daring fashion choice.

The 5 Best Horror Performances Since Toni Collette in ‘Hereditary’
While a lot of different elements have helped make the modern era of horror so strikingly memorable compared to eras of the past, one of the most prominent and distinct ways that this has been reflected is through the myriad of masterful performances. Among these titans of horror acting, one of the absolute icons of strength has been Toni Collette‘s perfect performance as mother Annie Graham in Hereditary. In the relatively short time since the film’s release, it’s grown to be considered one of the all-time greatest horror performances and massively influential in the horror genre as a whole.
However, there have been a lot of exceptional horror movies that have come out since Hereditary was released in 2018, many of which also sport exceptionally well-crafted performances at their center. While very few horror performances can live up to the weight and emotional depth of Collette’s iconic role, these horror performances stand out as the very best that the genre has provided in the time since this legendary performance.
5
Mia Goth in ‘Pearl’ (2022)
Mia Goth had already delivered a great duo of performances in Ti West‘s X, portraying not only the young and ambitious Maxine Minx, but the elderly, touch-starved soul Pearl, the latter of which proved to be so rife with potential as a character that an entire prequel film, Pearl, was made immediately after X‘s production. It’s in this deeper look into a young Pearl’s life, feeling held back and stuck on her farm in 1918, where Goth truly goes all out and makes the character into a truly iconic villain of 2020s horror. The combination of youthful naivety with ruthless and outright psychopathic tendencies makes Goth both compelling and terrifying as a horror character. The film and the performance paint a greater picture of how Pearl, as a character, could go from such an innocent farm girl into the hardened, isolated woman capable of murder that we see in X.
Her performance is the film’s primary selling point, drawing on key dynamics of both Maxine and Pearl’s characters in X to create a distinct portrait of fleeting youth and the fight for a spot atop the mountain of glory. It’s the type of performance that continues to stick in the mind of the audience long after it has ended, single-handedly amplifying the appeal and impact of the film itself. It certainly helps that the film gives Goth a lot of opportunities to shine and show off as a rising star actress, most notably with a legendary monologue and that haunting ending where she smiles directly into the camera. Goth was certainly an appreciated actress before this film, but it’s her brilliant performance in Pearl that truly catapulted her career and made many truly appreciate her as a genuine force of emotional talent.
4
Rebecca Hall in ‘The Night House’ (2021)
Rebecca Hall is an actress who has certainly played a part in several highly acclaimed and successful films, yet is often playing in the background or not given an opportunity to truly show off her talents. The Night House places the actor center stage and brings an arguable career-best performance out of her, as she plays a scorned and emotionally distraught widow still struggling as she attempts to live in the aftermath of her husband’s suicide. While the film itself is much more unknown and underrated compared to every other film and performance on this list, those who have experienced the film will be quick to praise the masterful performance by Hall at its center that elevates the entire film around her.
It’s one thing to simply hit the mark and react well as events grow more disturbing and haunting in a supernatural horror film, yet it’s this overwhelming aura of grief, anger, and continued pain following such a shocking loss that drives Hall’s performance into all-time great status. There is an essence of humanity that is ingrained within each moment of Hall’s performance, with one of the more realistic and emotionally layered depictions of loss and grief that is seen in a modern film, especially a horror film at that. Her portrayal of a broken character reeling with loss makes her emotional responses to the shocking events of the film all the more impactful and felt, amplifying the horror and stakes to make the film one of the best psychological horror thrillers of the 2020s so far.
3
Michael B. Jordan in ‘Sinners’ (2025)
It’s always impressive when an actor is able to provide not just one performance within a film, but a layered dual performance where they portray multiple distinct characters that feel entirely different from one another. The prominent example of recent memory comes from the most recent Academy Award-winning performance for Best Actor, Michael B. Jordan‘s role as both Smoke and Stack in Sinners. There are distinct similarities and differences between the twins that make them such compelling characters, with Jordan’s exceptional performance making all the differences in terms of making both of them fluid and memorable characters. Both long before the horror elements arise in Sinners and long after, both Smoke and Stack are exceptionally entertaining to watch on-screen, whether they’re setting the stage for their big break or fighting for their lives against one another.
This intelligence and subtle differences in their characters, combined with Jordan’s electrifying screen presence as either character, have made them some of the best movie characters of the last 10 years. The very fact that Jordan was able to make both of these characters so impactful and striking within a single film makes the performance all the more memorable and well-crafted. It’s also worth mentioning that a part of the brilliance of this performance can be credited to Percy Bell, Jordan’s body double, who would stand as the other twin during the scenes where both Smoke and Stack were on-screen. Bell’s own talent allowed Jordan to go all out as both Smoke and Stack in a given scene, creating a dynamic on-screen performance that really feels like he’s reacting and building off of his own performance. Considering that the last horror performance to win the Academy Award for Best Actor was Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs, this performance is certainly in highly acclaimed territory.
2
Demi Moore in ‘The Substance’ (2024)
Horror as a genre doesn’t always have to adhere to the same rules as many other genres, as while a strong performance in a drama can be ingrained within the subtleties and small mannerisms, horror is allowed to go all out with its brazen lack of subtletly but still be emotionally gripping and impactful. No singular horror film of recent memory exemplifies this like The Substance, which is wild and in-your-face every second with its overwhelming messaging of beauty standards and destructive bodily identity. Demi Moore‘s powerhouse central performance as Elizabeth Sparkle is what holds the film’s emotional core and impact together, amplifying the energy and themes of the film for this wild, unrestrained, and undeniable career-best performance.
It’s a performance that builds upon the legacy and perception that Moore has had throughout her entire career as an icon of beauty, delving into the often overlooked pains of age in an industry that is quick to throw away its most successful stars when they no longer adhere to the maximum standards of beauty. The pain that Elizabeth feels over her rejection from the industry and the ingrained hatred for her own looks defines Moore’s legendary performance, creating an emotional pull and electrifying screen presence throughout the entire film. There’s also a vast range of tones in her performance, from more restrained and simmering with anger early on to a more manic and desperate plea once the adverse effects of the substance begin impacting her. The performance managed to earn Moore her first Golden Globe win and an Academy Award nomination, as well as revitalizing her career and placing her center stage once again thanks to her genuine talent.
1
Lupita Nyong’o in ‘Us’ (2019)
Similarly to Michael B. Jordan’s iconic and highly memorable dual performance, the iconic dual performance provided by Lupita Nyong’o by Us takes command and elevates the entire film around it, terrifying and touching audiences with two characters who couldn’t feel more different from one another. In an entire film defined and elevated by its usage of dual performances through its core premise of deadly alternate versions of people coming to kill the original, the central performance by Nyong’o exemplifies the potential and craft of this exceptionally terrifying premise. She finds a great striking ground and balance between the two characters, showing the stark differences and unlikely similarities between the calm, determined mother Adelaide and the sinister, coarse throaty voice of Red.
The dynamic between these two characters and the shocking variety of her own performances bouncing off of each other makes Us such a striking and exceptionally layered piece of contemporary horror cinema. While the film as a whole may not be as celebrated as a complete package compared to Jordan Peele’s other films, it feels widely accepted that Nyong’o’s performance is the absolute best performance in any of his films. Thanks to the film’s shocking twist ending, it’s the type of performance that has distinctly different meanings on rewatch, with context of the overarching story completely changing the perception and dynamic of these characters and their interactions with one another. Ironically, just like Toni Collette’s performance before her, many people were absolutely shocked that this groundbreaking performance was completely passed over by the Academy Awards, with this massively impressive feat of acting sadly being overlooked due to being a part of the horror genre.

Kristen Stewart Returns To Sexy Vampire Movies
By Jennifer Asencio
| Published

Love it or hate it, Twilight and its sequels rose into the zeitgeist when the books came out and were adapted into major motion pictures. The series was ridiculed by many, most popularly by the meme “Still a better love story that Twilight.” The star of the films, Kristen Stewart, took on a lot of the criticism from the movies, even though their flaws also included plot issues and a very badly rendered CGI vampire baby.
This has not daunted Stewart, who has made an admirable comeback since her Twilight days. She has built a reputation as both a strong leading actress and a horror icon, rehabilitating her reputation with appearances in acclaimed films like the Princess Diana biopic, 2021’s Spencer, and the 2020 Lovecraftian horror film, Underwater.

Now, she is returning to her vampire days with Flesh of the Gods. The film follows her and Wagner Moura as they play a couple that gets absorbed into a hedonistic 1980s Los Angeles nightlife. Elizabeth Olsen stars as Nameless, their guide and temptress into an underground world that exists far away from the couple’s ivory tower life.
Moura is coming fresh from an Oscar win for The Secret Agent as well as a starring role as bounty-hunter-turned-cop Brander Lawson in the Disney+ Star Wars release, Maul – Shadow Lord, which premiered on the streamer on April 6, 2026. He replaces Oscar Isaac, who is still involved with the film as a producer but had to step away from acting in it due to scheduling conflicts.
Flesh Of The Gods Is In Active Development

A24 recently acquired the US rights to Flesh of the Gods, and it will be directed by Panos Cosmatos, who previously directed the cult horror hit Mandy. Cosmatos shared a writing credit with Andrew Kevin Walker (Seven; Love, Death & Robots) for the script.
The last time we saw Kristen Stewart in a vampire movie, her character was also married and had a child. Back then, Stewart as an actress didn’t quite have the maturity to pull off such a role. As both her on-screen roles and off-screen life have stabilized, her return to a world where daylight can be deadly is marked by a story that is likewise more mature and sexier.

It will also be interesting to see the interaction between her, Olsen, and Moura. The movie has a strong cast at its heart so far in these three actors, who are the only ones that have been announced. The intriguing and seductive dance between the sultry Olsen, the strong Moura, and the wide-ranged Stewart promises to be a tantalizing ride if the script is strong enough.
As of this writing, Flesh of the Gods is still in pre-production, which explains its limited cast listing on IMDb. However, it would seem that the project is going ahead, now that its primary cast have been assembled.

The Must-See 1970s Series Responsible For Modern Sci-Fi And Marvel’s Best Movies
By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

The two most popular sci-fi franchises in the world, Star Trek and Star Wars, tackle the genre from opposite directions; the former envisions a utopian future, while the latter is more of a fantasy, but both include clear distinctions between good and evil.
A third way emerged thanks to the influential British series, Blake’s 7, which made the heroes criminals and rough around the edges, showing a sci-fi universe in which the line between good and evil is blurred. With a focus on multi-episode storylines and a dark, gritty tone to its world, the BBC series also laid the groundwork for later shows like Babylon 5, Firefly, Farscape, and the Battlestar Galactica remake.
Not Good Guys, Not Bad Guys
The Blake of Blake’s 7 is Roj Blake (Gareth Thomas), leader of the rebellion against the Federation, brainwashed, unbrainwashed, and then framed for crimes he didn’t commit and sent to a prison planet. A born leader, Blake helps other prisoners escape by commandeering The Liberator, a mysterious vessel run by an advanced A.I. computer named Zen. The thing is, though Blake is the Captain by default, he has his hands full keeping his rowdy compatriots in line as they try to take down the Federation.

Alongside Blake are Avon, the computer genius who lives by a code of logic and reason, which sounds Spock-like, except he’s also greedy and willing to sacrifice his shipmates to save his own skin, Vila, the cowardly thief with a fondness for booze, Jenna Stannis, a smuggler and skilled pilot, is the closest thing to a loyal crewmember, and even that takes a few episodes.
The other half includes Cally, a telepath with a death wish, Olag the giant bruiser with a device implanted in his brain to keep him calm and docile, and Zen, the sentient computer. The crew in Blake’s 7 would never be confused for the officers of the Enterprise, or even the Rebel Alliance, but they are, arguably, a precursor to the crew of the Moya in Farscape.
Laying The Groundwork For A New Way Forward

Blake’s 7 follows the usual format of British television, with four shortened seasons of 13 episodes each, but in an unusual twist for sci-fi, the entire first season was written by the show’s creator, Terry Nation, a feat that would not be topped until J. Michael Straczynski wrote Babylon 5. The first two seasons play out like the precursor to another modern classic, Battlestar Galactica, with the Federation constantly at the heels of The Liberator and the ragtag crew dealing with a foe that has them outnumbered and outgunned. This is why, even though the British series debuted in 1978 with a budget that would today be considered nonexistent, it’s still a beloved fan favorite hailed as decades ahead of its time.
Watch 30 seconds of the show, and you can tell that it had no budget, but it did have a strong sense of its characters, putting the emphasis not on spectacular special effects, but on how all seven abrasive personalities bounce off one another in different combinations to the point where it seems every few episodes, someone threatens to leave the Liberator for good.

Terry Nation wrote a space opera about horrible people, steeped in the same cynicism and anti-government attitude roiling England during the 70s, and yet it manages to retain a sense of fun throughout. No matter the decade of its release, Blake’s 7 would be hailed as a creative, bold new take on sci-fi.
The most impressive part of the show is how it pulls everything together for one of the most jaw-dropping finales of any series. In a world with shows that end on cliffhangers and others that are set up to launch spin-offs or revivals, it’s refreshing to know that Blake’s 7 finishes the story.
If you’re bored with Star Trek’s Federation and have seen too many Star Wars characters whoa re supposedly the worst of the galaxy turn out to be teddy bears, then it’s well worth your time to fire up Britbox (available on its own or as part of Amazon Prime Video), and enjoy a sci-fi series that broke the mold and proved to sci-fi fans there’s more than one way to explore a glaaxy far, far away.

Bold and the Beautiful: Remy’s Explosive Secret Connection Finally Exposed!
Bold and the Beautiful fans. So, it was just confirmed that Remy Pryce is back to stay because actor Christian Weissmann is now on contract at the CBS soap and he did a recent interview that revealed something stunning about what is ahead.
The actor said that Remy has a surprising connection to somebody on the B&B character canvas. We’re going to talk about who Deke Sharpe‘s (Harrison Cone) ex-boyfriend is connected to in Los Angeles.
Remy Price Returns To Win Back Deke on Bold and the Beautiful
All right, so we recently saw Remy pop up at Il Giardino talking about how much he misses Deke. And clearly Remy is still in love with him. But Deke is not sure that he’s ready to get back with Remy. You know, he did a lot of bad things, but he told Deke that he loves him and he misses their life together.
Remy wants to know how long it’ll take to earn another shot with him. And then Deke admitted to Remy that he just told his friend Dylan (Sydney Bullock) that love conquers all. Remy took Deke’s hand. And then Remy said he hopes Deke really believes that. So, Remy is back primarily to win back Deke. But that is not the only reason.
Since Christian Weissmann is on contract with Bold, they’ve invented a backstory to tie him to at least one other character on the canvas, maybe more. And in his recent interview about Remy’s return, Christian Weissmann said, “Remy’s return gets messy and there are adventures ahead and when his character is back for good, which it’s already started, it’s going to cause problems for other people.”
So, Christian Weissmann also said that Remy, in addition to being back for Deke, is back because this connection that exists between Remy and this other character, and he called it quote “very unexpected.”
Remy’s Mysterious Connection on Bold and the Beautiful
But when it’s revealed, he said it’ll make sense because Remy and the mystery person are cut from the same cloth. That’s another quote. And the relationship between the Remy and this other person is going to be complicated. Christian Weissmann said Remy is going to walk right in and start stirring things up. So, we’ve been thinking about what character Deke’s ex-boyfriend could be tied to. So, let’s dig into Remy’s big secret.
Could Remy Be Sheila’s Grandson on B&B?
And the first person we thought of makes sense because of the cut from the same cloth thing, but I don’t think that this person would be terribly unexpected as an option. So, we could find out that Remy is Sheila Carter‘s (Kimberlin Brown) grandson. I mean, Remy did a horrible thing to Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) with those deep fake photos.
And Sheila has certainly done tons of questionable and downright awful things over the years. Plus, when she first met Remy, we saw that Sheila took a liking to him and she kind of had a soft spot for Remy. Sheila wanted to help him and so she set Remy up to get that job with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) as a handyman and even told him to use a fake name.
Bold and the Beautiful: Remy Connected to Sheila & Ridge?
So, there is a chance that Remy could be the son of one of Sheila’s children. Now, aside from Finn, we know Sheila has four other kids. There’s Mary Warwick. There’s Diana Carter, who was only ever seen as a baby. Over on Young and the Restless, there was twins Daisy Carter and Ryder Callahan.
It would be most interesting if Remy were the son of Diana Carter because her dad was Massimo Marone. So, if you’re doing the family tree on this, that makes Diana Ridge Forrester‘s (Thorsten Kaye) half sister, which would make Remy his nephew, and then RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) would be Remy’s cousin if I’m tracing the family lines right. And that would be super messy, but also really kind of interesting and it would put poor Electra back into Remy’s orbit.
Could Remy Be Bill Spencer’s Secret Son on Bold?
Now, another thought is that Remy could be a secret son of Bill Spencer. You know, maybe with Quinn Fuller or some other fling from Bill’s past, because as we know, he got around. And like Remy, we know Bill is a schemer. And of course, if Quinn was involved, she is too. I don’t think they’re going to bring her back, but you never know. And it would all be very surprising on Bold and the Beautiful.
But at the same time, I don’t think Bill needs another adult kid showing up. However, they already thought he had another one with long lost daughter Luna when she and Poppy showed up scamming, and that turned out to not be true. And Bill already knows Remy because he did maintenance work at his mansion, just not that name. But at the same time, I really hope Bill is not his secret connection.
Other Possibilities on Bold and the Beautiful
Another possibility is Ridge that he is tied to. So maybe Remy is his nephew because he’s a secret kid of his half-brother Nick. And there could be some other, you know, mystery part of Massimo’s family. And there could be a kid or a grandkid we don’t know about. I do think Remy being connected to the Forrester family through the Marones would be kind of wild. Electra’s head would explode.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) would be appalled and certainly Ridge would be too after what Remy did to Electra. They all hate him. So that would be messy and I do think that would be very unexpected. However, it doesn’t really align to the cut from the same cloth thing.

Does Poppy Have another Kid on B&B?
Another possibility is that Remy could be Poppy’s son. Now, she definitely didn’t make the best choices and was always running off getting high and doing dodgy things and sleeping around. So, Poppy could have met some rando, had Remy, you know, fell off the radar for 9 months, gave him up for adoption, and then came back around and started fooling around with Finn. The cut from the same cloth thing does fit for Poppy because she is a creep who slept with her nephew Finn and got pregnant.
Then, she lied and kept his daughter Luna away from Finn, you know, her whole adult life. So Remy is somebody who struggles to do the right thing and that would make perfect sense as Poppy’s son. Plus he and Luna were friends and Remy cared about her. So it’d be pretty cool if they were siblings even though she’s dead. The question of course is is she really dead. They say she is. We’ll see.
Could Thomas Be Remy’s Father on Bold?
One last person to consider is Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) as Remy’s father. And I know that sounds crazy and you’re doing the math, right? However, Thomas and Finn are pretty much the same age, and they gave Finn a kid about the same age because Luna and Remy were about the same age.
So, it is feasible in terms of soap aging and soap timekeeping. And the cut from the same cloth would fit Thomas because, he was a bad boy until pretty recently. All his scheming and plotting and obsession with Hope has a similar vibe to the Remy and Electra thing.
And remember Thomas and the Hope mannequin? Just ick. So, Thomas likely will be back at some point. Looks like Matt Atkinson is only on recurring now. So, that would tether Remy to a lot of other people on the canvas currently, would make him Ridge’s grandson and Steffy’s nephew. So, we’ll see who is the mystery tie that he has.
Back to Sheila Carter on Bold and the Beautiful
But another thing Christian Weissmann said was that Remy really thinks that he has legit turned over a new leaf, but there’s always a chance that Remy could slip back into old patterns. So based on all of this, I do kind of think Sheila Carter is a likelier candidate.
And also because she needs a new storyline now that she has lost Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) to Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and she already has an existing relationship with Remy that is cordial. She doesn’t hate him, which everybody else pretty much does.
And him being Diana’s son, tying him to the Forresters would be super messy. And as for it being very unexpected, that could be Bold and the Beautiful underestimating the viewers who tend to figure things out faster than they give them credit for.

‘American Pie’ Star Turns To OF Amid Divorce From Husband
“American Pie” star Shannon Elizabeth has revealed that she is set to join OnlyFans in a shocking career move.
Reports claim that the announcement comes shortly after the actress quietly filed for divorce from her husband, Simon Borchert.
Shannon Elizabeth also recently recalled how she was “really scared” during the “difficult” audition for “American Pie,” recounting how the experience was nerve-racking.
Why Shannon Elizabeth Is Joining OnlyFans At 52

Shannon Elizabeth is starting a new chapter in her professional career as she announced on Wednesday that she’s starting her OnlyFans account at the age of 52.
In her announcement, the “Scary Movie” actress decried how she has been subjected to decisions made by others but now wants to take control of her life and show off a “more sexy side.”
“I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” Elizabeth told People Magazine.
She continued, “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”
The Actress Quietly Split From Her Husband Shortly Before Launching Her OnlyFans Page

Meanwhile, reports suggest she’s making the move after quietly filing for divorce from her husband, Simon Borchert. The estranged couple met in 2015, although reports claim they didn’t start dating until about two years later.
They eventually tied the knot in 2021, but are reportedly now set to go their separate ways amid her latest venture into OnlyFans. However, it remains unclear if her venture into the platform is related to their divorce.
“The divorce is fresh. She is freshly single and launching her OnlyFans tomorrow morning,” a source told Page Six, revealing that she officially filed documents on Tuesday.
She’s yet to publicly acknowledge that her marriage has hit the rocks, but a Facebook post on Wednesday seems to be alluding to it.
“There’s something about the ocean that resets everything—slows the noise, softens the edges, and brings you right back to what matters. Grateful for these quiet moments, sandy paws, and unconditional love,” she wrote.
The ‘American Pie’ Actress Considered Her Fans Before Launching Her OnlyFans Account

In a statement shared with Page Six, the “Jack Frost” actress revealed that her fans were part of the major reasons she’s joining the X-rated platform, as she wants to get closer to them and connect better.
“Reconnecting with my fans through appearances has reminded me just how much their support has meant to me throughout my career–and how much I’ve missed that energy,” she said.
“OnlyFans gives me the opportunity to offer something more–a behind-the-scenes, unfiltered look at my life and a genuine connection that no other platform allows,” she continued.
The actress added, “This is also where I’ll be sharing exclusive content that you simply won’t find anywhere else. This isn’t just content to watch from a distance. This is for the people who have always shown up for me, and I want them to feel that.”
Elizabeth, who’s also an animal activist, shared that she’ll continue doing her charity work as it “remains incredibly close to my heart.” However, she considered the new path because she feels like it’s the “perfect moment to open up my world to the fans who have been with me throughout this journey.”
“I’m so excited for this,” she added.
Shannon Elizabeth Was ‘Really Scared’ Auditioning For ‘American Pie’

Elizabeth rose to fame after landing the role of the sexy foreign exchange student, Nadia, in “American Pie,” but recently revealed that bringing the character to life was a Herculean task.
In an April interview with Fox News, she recalled how starring in the film was very difficult, but then the audition was almost impossible, which left her “really scared.”
“The audition process for American Pie was difficult,” she told the news outlet in an interview published earlier this month. “I was scared. I was really scared.”
The teen comedy film follows a group of high school students who have all agreed amongst themselves to lose their virginity before graduation, which leads them to undertake several mischievous attempts to do so.
The Actress Reveals Being Part Of The Cult Classic Helped Push Her Out Of Her Comfort Zone

Elizabeth explained that playing Nadia literally forced her out of her comfort zone, as even though she had experience as a model, she struggled to play the sultry scenes she was involved in.
“I’m not somebody [who’s] super comfortable in my own skin, to be honest,” she admitted. “But, you just overcome that.”
She added. “When you have to turn it on, you have to work, because I do love working. I do love acting. So you just let everything else go.”
