Peta Murgatroyd and her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are reveling in their bliss in Florida!

The couple has broken their silence on why the move to the Sunshine State was necessary for the well-being of their family and their happiness as a unit.

Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy met on Broadway in 2009 and started dating in 2012 before finally tying the knot in 2017, going on to share three children.

The dancer took to her Instagram Story to share a video update about just how much they love their lives in Florida. She admitted that the family had always loved the state for various reasons because their current location, Boca, close to the beach, has really top-rated schools, great sports locations for the boys, and a great lifestyle.

While she admitted that the weather is almost as hot as California, she stressed that living in Florida right now is what her family needs, and they are enjoying every second of it. Murgatroyd did not express her love for California in small measure, as she noted that it was their home for 2 decades.

She identified a few significant differences between life in Florida and California, emphasizing the culture of convenience that is more dominant in the former.

“Everything is within a five-minute drive. I feel like there’s a CVS or Walgreens on every corner ’cause it’s like in blocks with the communities. I love it; I feel like at this stage of my life with three boys, I’m about convenience,” the dancer noted according to Us Magazine.

The ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Pro Spoke Glowingly About Her Neighbors

Murgatroyd added that she found a community in the Sunshine State made up of great neighbors who have been so welcoming since they made their move into the area.

She shared that her kids have been invited on multiple playdates with other kids in the neighborhood, something she did not really experience much in California.

The reception aligned with Murgatroyd’s vision for her kids’ ideal childhood, as she always wanted them to grow up around an environment where they feel loved and accepted.

“He has playdates; he has boys knocking on our door, saying, ‘Hey, come play; let’s go ride our bikes.’ It’s the best thing for me, and it’s all I want. I’m so happy,” the media personality added.

Another heartwarming development is the fact that the dancer’s in-laws also moved to Florida, and they have equally fallen in love with Boca and are happy by the beach. Murgatroyd noted that Chmerkovskiy’s parents did not exactly carry them along on their move, but it made her happy to see them as a part of her community.

Peta Murgatroyd And Maksim Chmerkovskiy Share Video Of Touching Farewell To Los Angeles

In June, The Blast shared that the couple confirmed that they officially relocated to Florida from Los Angeles with a symbolic video of them dancing and holding a sign saying they have moved.

A second Instagram post highlighted the more emotional side of the family’s relocation, showing them packing up their belongings, saying goodbye to their longtime home, and preparing for the cross-country journey.

Murgatroyd admitted that the trip to Florida stirred up emotions she had not anticipated, leaving her tearful and uncertain about walking away from the familiarity and comfort of the place they had called home.

Despite the difficult farewell, the TV personalities believe the move is already paying off. Murgatroyd shared that their three sons have quickly adjusted to Florida’s sunshine and more relaxed lifestyle.

With the family settling into their new surroundings, she made it clear they are focused on embracing what lies ahead rather than dwelling on what they left behind.

Murgatroyd’s Third Child Changed Her ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 33 Plans

As noted by The Blast in 2024, Murgatroyd’s growing family kept her from returning to the ballroom for Season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars.” Shortly before the season, the professional dancer and her husband welcomed their third son, as shared by Chmerkovskiy on Instagram, who revealed that the dancer did it all in one push.

However, welcoming another child meant Murgatroyd was not physically prepared to jump back into the demanding “DWTS” schedule. During a social media livestream, she confirmed that she would miss Season 33 because childbirth had left her needing more time to recover.

Although Murgatroyd admitted she had been eager to return to the competition, she acknowledged that her body was not ready for the physical demands of dancing professionally again. Ultimately, the mother of three decided recovery and time with her newborn had to come before her career.

In 2022, the mother of three got vulnerable about her distress upon finding out that Chmerkovskiy was trapped in Ukraine after Russia invaded the country. Motherly stated that the dancer confessed to battling emotional turmoil upon learning that her husband was trying to escape.

Murgatroyd pleaded with her social media family to keep their prayers up for her as she warned that the coming days could even be more emotionally challenging for her. Chmerkovskiy had arrived in Ukraine for an appearance as a judge on the country’s version of “Dancing with the Stars.”

As the invasion went on, he made it a point to keep his fans and loved ones up to date, informing his fans that he was briefly arrested in Ukraine, but he was safe and had started approaching the border with hopes of leaving.

Despite admitting that he was nervous about the journey ahead, Chmerkovskiy remained optimistic, explaining that he had several possible ways to get out and believed he would ultimately make it to safety.

Congratulations, Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy!

Hayden Panettiere’s Mom Issues Scathing Response to Gayle King

Published

Holly Robinson Peete Calls Out Hayden Panettieres Moms Lack of Integrity After Daughter Death

Hayden Panettiere’s estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, is responding to Gayle King after the morning show host criticized her first public statement following her daughter’s death.

“There is infinite sadness,” Vogel, 70, told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Saturday, August 22, alleging that the criticism she has received from King, 71, as well former Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly and others, has made the pain of her daughter’s death worse.

“But this is not the time for me to be weak,” the mother of two, who also lost her 28-year-old son, Jansen, to an undiagnosed heart condition three years ago, added. “I don’t have the luxury right now of being weak. I have too much to do for Hayden. When I’m done with that, then I will give myself the luxury to mourn — deeply mourn. I’m not saying I’m not grieving now. I am, and I do have my moments. But the bigger picture right now is I have to stay strong. I don’t have an option.”

She continued, “I was very, very hurt and deeply disappointed in the lack of professionalism, the lack of compassion in slamming someone who’s lost two children, without even a modicum of consideration. No one reached out to me before. It’s shameful. It’s unconscionable to me.”

“I think it becomes very difficult to be true to yourself and I think Hayden sadly lost her way and I wish it were different,” Vogel, 70, told NBC News, in part, via a statement at the time. “I wish she had stayed true to herself because she had many incredible attributes.”

She added of her daughter, “I just feel that she’s with her brother and they’re at peace.”

King discussed Vogel’s statement on the Wednesday, August 19, broadcast of CBS Mornings.

“You know, guys, you read this and all I think is, ‘Thanks, Mom, for nothing,” King said while appearing alongside her fellow CBS personalities Kelly O’Grady and Vladimir Duthiers.

“I mean, Hayden Panettiere spent years publicly acknowledging her own failures, her own struggles,” Duthiers, 56, noted on Wednesday. “She cannot respond now, and for her mother to use these days after Hayden’s death to just remind the world just how much trauma she caused, it’s unseemly.”

Hayden Panettiere spoke openly about her estrangement from her mother, Lesley Vogel, in the months leading up to her death in August 2026. “Unfortunately, we don’t have a relationship right now,” Panettiere exclusively told Us in May 2026. “But that doesn’t mean that I don’t leave the door open for the opportunity to present itself […]

King went on to recall how often Hayden acknowledged her “complicated” and estranged relationship with Vogel prior to her shocking death, explaining in May that it was a “work in progress.”

“You hear stuff like that and you realize it was still very much in progress,” King stated. “It makes me so sad that, of the opportunity that you have after your daughter’s death, that’s what you choose to leave us with.”

Former Fox News personality Kelly, 55, also slammed Vogel for her response in the wake of her daughter’s death.

“You failed at your job… You got an F as a parent. You made a bunch of money off of your daughter,” the reporter-turned-podcaster said. “You probably have a super nice car and a big house. You failed. You raised someone to the age of majority who doesn’t feel safe, loved, or cherished. You’re a loser.”

10 Action Thrillers to Binge While Waiting for New ‘Reacher’ Episodes

Published

on

Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) scales a wall in the 'Tracker' episode "No Good Deed"

The good news for Reacher fans? Season 4 is currently airing, and the show has already been renewed for a fifth season as well. The bad news? You only get one episode per week. That means biting your nails until it’s time for the next episode or waiting until September 16th when the season finale streams and you can binge all eight episodes.

Whatever option you choose, you can fill the holes with plenty of other action thriller shows. Some of these only have a single season, but that’s precisely why they’re perfect to watch between episodes, binge-watching a few episodes per night. A few have multiple seasons, so you can binge away to your heart’s content. In fact, there might even be enough episodes to continue once Reacher Season 4 has ended. Each of these shows will scratch the same itch.

‘Tracker’ (2024–Present)

The show that Reacher is most often compared to is Tracker. Both are shows based on books that became TV’s biggest franchises. Both also follow a lone-wolf protagonist who often teams up with others as he moves from place to place, living as a nomad (or hobo, as Reacher says). In Tracker, Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) is a survivalist who takes on private cases to search for missing persons. He gets paid in reward money if he successfully brings them home. Of course, he always does.

Reacher is harder-hitting, more violent, and its protagonist is more threatening, with stakes much higher for each case. But Colter encounters dangerous cases, too. As a network show, Tracker has more of a procedural feel with a different case in every episode versus a main one across an entire season, but this makes it easy to binge. You can watch as many episodes as you want without feeling like the story is unfinished if you decide to abandon it and go back later.

‘The Night Agent’ (2023–Present)

Another show featuring a lone-wolf protagonist, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) is a talented young FBI agent in The Night Agent who lacks the same level of maturity and in-field experience as Reacher (Alan Ritchson). But when he is thrust into a dangerous case in Season 1, he proves his skill, intelligence, and duty to his country and to saving innocent lives, a moral code that’s very much like Reacher’s.

Also like Reacher, The Night Agent gets better with every season, with the action, intensity, cast, and nature of the cases becoming far more compelling each time. The Night Agent is ending after its upcoming fourth and final season, but you’ll easily breeze through the 30 episodes over three seasons to date. The seasons are highly bingeable, with cliffhanger endings that leave you no choice but to play the next episode and keep going all the way to the end.

3

‘Cross’ (2024–Present)

Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross and Alona Tal as Kayla Craig walking with flashlights and their guns out in Cross

Image via Prime Video

Based on the James Patterson character and books, Cross centers on Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), a detective and forensic psychologist with a special knack for sussing out and getting under the skin of serial killers. The crime thriller is filled with action in every season as Cross chases down a sadistic killer, racing against the clock before he (or she!) takes their next victim.

Renewed for a third season, there are 16 episodes across two seasons, each telling a story just as compelling as the stories in each season of Reacher. The stakes are high, and the danger is intense. But there’s another element added to the mix. Cross isn’t a lone wolf, but rather a single father trying to balance his work with his personal life. It’s a refreshing change from the loner mentality of Reacher.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

‘His & Hers’ (2026)

Jon Bernthal holding a banana and pointing in 'His & Hers'.

Image via Netflix

I’m not ashamed to admit that I watched His & Hers over a single weekend. With just six episodes, it’s a bingeable series that takes you through a compelling story in the same amount of time as a movie trilogy. Reacher fans will love the element of mystery and the twists and turns in the case, even if the show doesn’t lean as heavily into the violence, explosions, and conspiracies that are central to every season of Reacher.

Instead, it’s an emotional tale about a former couple who went through a horrible experience. They unexpectedly come back together after years of estrangement when a woman they both know winds up dead in their hometown. Jack (Jon Bernthal) still lives there and works as a detective, while Anna (Tessa Thompson), a former reporter, surprises everyone with her return to cover the investigation. There are plenty of secrets and lots of trauma to unpack, with a twist unlike anything I have seen in a long time.

5

‘Ponies’ (2026)

Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson in Ponies
Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson in Ponies
Image via Peacock

If you want something female-led that leans more heavily into comedy, Ponies is it. The spy thriller might have been cancelled after its first season, but it has Reacher vibes while adding a throwback setting of 1970s Russia to switch things up. Bea (Emilia Clarke) and Twila (Haley Lu Richardson) are secretaries working at the U.S. embassy who are both suddenly widowed when their husbands perish on a mission. Left with nothing to do and nowhere to go, they offer to help the CIA.

Yes, it’s an unbelievable story. But the idea that these ladies are persons of no interest (“ponies”) who the KGB would never see coming is reflective of the time. At eight episodes long, Ponies takes the story in hilarious, then dramatic, then tense, and hilarious again directions, making it a lighter watch than Reacher, though you still get action-packed scenes, explosions, chases, and a fabulous villain in Artjom Gilz‘s Andrei Vasiliev. It’s Clarke and Richardson, however, who truly shine. They’re no Neagley (Maria Sten), but even Jack Reacher’s closest confidante would probably at least give these ladies some credit for their sloppy but effective work.

6

‘The Boroughs’ (2026)

The Boroughs Netflix Upside Down Pictures Full Ensemble
The Boroughs Netflix Upside Down Pictures Full Ensemble

Another prematurely cancelled show, The Boroughs doesn’t have nearly as much action as Reacher, considering the main characters are all people in their 70s living in a retirement community. But there is an intriguing case to investigate and some epic fight and action scenes, including one that pays homage to Thelma & Louise (yes, with Geena Davis herself).

As one of the best sci-fi series of 2026 so far, The Boroughs leans more into sci-fi than action, but it’s a perfect watch for Reacher fans. You will enjoy the character development, the similarly surly and intensely smart protagonist, Sam (Alfred Molina), who eventually warms to his new neighbors, and the mix of sarcasm and comedy with thrills.

7

‘I Will Find You’ (2026)

David and Rachel sitting on a sofa in 'I Will Find You'

Image via Netflix

Reacher and David Burroughs (Sam Worthington) from I Will Find You actually have a lot in common. In Season 1 of Reacher, Jack is accused of the murder of a victim who turns out to be his own brother. He then makes it his mission to take down the real killer. In I Will Find You, David is convicted and sent to jail for murdering his son. The only problem? Much like Reacher, he didn’t do it. He has one person in his corner, his former sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower), who believes him when she comes across a random photo with a young boy in the background who looks strikingly like her nephew would at this age (a distinct facial birthmark makes the identity unmistakable).

The pair, with the help of powerful friends and family members, go on the run trying to find the boy and figure out what really happened that fateful night and why. With a massive twist in the end that you might not see coming, I Will Find You is arguably one of Harlan Coben‘s most talked-about shows. Climbing up the Netflix charts, the show has become a huge success this year, and you’ll easily binge your way through the eight episodes in no time.

8

‘Man on Fire’ (2026)

Tow men looking at one another while running and looking disheveled in Man on Fire.
Tow men looking at one another while running and looking disheveled in Man on Fire.
Image via Netflix

This action thriller series, loosely based on the 1980 novel by A.J. Quinnell, as was the 2004 movie, is the perfect Reacher replacement. The show stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as John Creasy, an ex-mercenary who, like Reacher, once worked for the military. He’s also out to avenge the deaths of former members of his team, as was the plot in Reacher Season 2.

With plenty of action and fight scenes, Man on Fire gives you Reacher vibes to a tee. Plus, with just seven episodes, it’s an easy binge-watch that will get your juices flowing for the new episodes of Reacher. Both have fierce protagonists with personal trauma and a vendetta to take down any bad guys who come their way.

9

‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed’ (2026–Present)

Tatiana Maslany's Paula panicked and on the phone in Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed

Tatiana Maslany and Murray Bartlett are wonderful in this Apple TV comedy-thriller crime series. In Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Maslany is Paula, a recently divorced single mom who finds solace in talking to a cam boy. But when she believes she witnesses his murder on camera and learns she was being scammed, she can’t help but get to the bottom of things.

Paula goes down a wild rabbit hole, uncovering danger, conspiracies, and a situation that’s far more complex than she expected. While Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed isn’t as conventionally action-packed as Reacher, it’s highly entertaining and suspenseful. There are 10 short episodes you can power through over a weekend, or week to week while waiting for new episodes of Reacher.

10

‘Ride or Die’ (2026)

Debbie (Octavia Spencer) and Judith (Hannah Waddingham) in 'Ride or Die'
Debbie (Octavia Spencer) and Judith (Hannah Waddingham) in ‘Ride or Die’
Image via Prime Video

If Neagley is your favorite character in Reacher and you can’t wait for her spin-off to premiere later this year, Ride or Die will provide that female power you crave. Hannah Waddingham is Judith, a secret assassin who winds up on a wild journey with her best friend Debbie (Octavia Spencer), who just so happens to be the wife of a member of Parliament.

Ride or Die, one of the best Prime Video shows of 2026 so far, has the same frantic energy as Reacher as the pair go on the run from an enemy while Judith hides her true identity. With eight episodes in the series, you’ll enjoy every moment of the show that Collider reviewer Meredith Loftus praises for its mix of action, thrills, and heartwarming friendship.

Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Silo Season 3, Episode 8.After three seasons of methodical world-building and carefully guarded truths, Silo finally pulled back the curtain on the slow-burn mystery at its core. To reveal the hard facts about the creation of the silos and the end of the modern world, the show switched to a dual-timeline structure for its penultimate season, jumping between the escalating existential threats faced by Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) and Silo 18 in the present, and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) and investigative reporter Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) as they chased a wide-ranging conspiracy more than 300 years in the past. In Episode 8, the “before times” storyline delivered a long-awaited end-of-the-world reveal, one that reframed the apocalypse as something far more original than nuclear war but also turned the world beyond the present-day silos into an active, ongoing threat that reshapes the series from here on out.

Initially introduced as an enigma, the outside world was either believed to be a deadly wasteland or a lush oasis, depending on which set of silo-generated visuals you chose to buy into. After Juliette’s round-trip journey to Silo 17, she served as the first human corroboration of the hostile, barren dystopia warned of in the silo’s governing lore, earning her a figurehead position as mayor and a heavy dose of memory-wiping pills that prevented her from sharing anything else she’d learned about the outside. After being freed at the halfway point of the third season, an unexpected group of allies bands together to try and disable the mechanism for the Safeguard Procedure that allows for a silo to be eliminated at any time – but as it turns out, the biggest threat to Silo 18’s continued survival might not be Vitamin D+ in the water or toxic gas in the air supply, but the nanobot technology that led to the silos to be built in the first place.

The Nanotech Reveal in ‘Silo’ Makes For an Apocalypse Uniquely Its Own

The fall of humanity, we learn from trillionaire Per Stenson (Colin Hanks), will not be brought about by nuclear weapons but ushered in by cheap self-replicating nanobots that aren’t just built to kill humans but set on reducing all organic matter on the planet to a pile of “gray goo.” For the better part of its three seasons, Silo let viewers settle into the comfortable assumption that the silos were built to survive nuclear warfare, a fact never confirmed but ascertained in part due to artfully delivered breadcrumbs – a “dirty bomb” in the nation’s capital, the toxic atmosphere above the silos, the need to live so far below ground – that indicated an end of the world in line with the countless versions of obliteration we’ve seen since the Cold War. The reveal is far more devastating than anything we’ve ever seen or, frankly, saw coming – unless you’ve already read Hugh Howry’s Wool trilogy, in which case the reveal might feel slightly overdue.

It’s worth backing up for a second, and considering what makes the nanobot apocalypse so unique. As noted by the self-assured trillionaire and met with emphatic nods by the enthralled Senator Rosalind Thurman (Laura Innes), nanotechnology is already being used to develop weapons globally by military forces, and it’s only a matter of time before the absurdly cheap and relatively low-effort nanobots are widely available to anyone who does a quick search online. And once you realize that in a show contingent on the psychology of confinement, many of the obsessive rituals served an actual purpose, it snaps a much larger danger into terrifying focus, casting all the ongoing interpersonal drama and power struggles in sharp relief.

The Stubborn Bravery of ‘Silo’ May Have Unleashed the Biggest Threat to Date

The nanotechnology backstory doesn’t give Silo a clear path to resolution, instead introducing a smarter kind of dread that comes with no set expiration date. With that in mind, it becomes clear that the silos aren’t survival bunkers built for the short-term, but quarantine shelters with rigid containment protocols; that’s why 50 were created, with one acting as control in the event of infection, neutralizing the threat but allowing humanity to continue to exist until a solution can be found. It means that every single rule that was broken at both ends of Juliette’s journey between silos – and there were so, so many – any one of the shortcuts taken could be the way a nanobot stole its way in, presenting an extinction-level threat to Silo 18 and casting one of the most selfless, stubbornly brave heroines in modern television history as a potential vector for an extinction-level event.

Now that the truth of Silo‘s world has been established, its mystery box has been transformed into a pressure cooker, and while some previous questions remain, a whole new set has been presented that will likely carry through to the end of the show’s fourth and final run. But the most pressing question as we head into the last two episodes of the season is what this means for Lukas Kyle (Avi Nash) and Patrick Kennedy (Rick Gomez), who just completed the first leg of their inter-silo trip – especially for Lukas, who had his suit pierced by a bullet but survived as it hit his radio instead of going clean through-and-through. Only time will tell how the facts of the end of the world reach those who live in it 300 years later, but it’s going to be one heck of a journey now that we know the uniquely terrifying world waiting outside each silo’s doors.

Dolly Parton Shares Update on ‘Hard Times With My Health’

Published

on

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Dolly Parton is opening up about the “hard times with my health” she’s been forced to face in a new update.

“I am dealing with some health issues that I just didn’t pay attention to when I was watching over Carl [Thomas Dean],” Parton, 80, told People in an interview published Friday, August 21, referring to her late husband who died at 82 in March 2025.

Parton announced in May that she needed to postpone her Las Vegas residency over undisclosed health concerns. At the time, the country icon revealed that she was “responding really well to meds and treatment.”

While discussing her health issues with People, Parton acknowledged that she’s previously overcome other conditions related to her health.

“It’s not like I haven’t been through hard times with my health,” she said. “But I think because we live in a 24/7 world with social media, everything gets magnified in ways it wasn’t years ago. I used to joke that I was the Queen of the Tabloids, but now I guess I can say I’m the Queen of Social Media AI! Seriously, though, even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’.”

Earlier this month, Parton missed a scheduled appearance at the opening of a new roller coaster at her Dollywood theme park.

“I’m supposed to be there in person, like we planned,” she said in a video message shared with attendees. “Now I’ve told you before, all my fans, that I have had a few little health issues. And sometimes I get a little dizzy, and I get dehydrated.”

Parton continued at the time, “I’m dehydrated, so my Nashville doctor clipped my wings, saying you ain’t traveling this week. I guess if your doctor tells you you ain’t traveling this week, you ain’t traveling this week.”

Despite her health woes, Parton has continually insisted that she was improving slowly but surely.

“It’s gonna take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit swimmy-headed, as my grandma used to say,” she said in her May health update. “And of course, I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five-inch heels.”

Comparing herself to a “classic car” merely in need of restoration, Parton promised to return to the stage “better than ever.”

“When they raised the hood on this old antique, they realized that I need to rebuild my engine and that my transmission is slipping, my oil pan is leaking, my muffler is busted and my shocks and pistons need to be replaced, and for sure, my spark plugs need to be changed,” Parton quipped. “My immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past couple three years, and they’re working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those and hopefully I’ll be up to snuff again soon.”

Keith Urban Fights Back Tears on Tour as Nicole Kidman Moves on

Published

Keith Urban at CMA Fest 2026 Day Two

Keith Urban became emotional during a recent concert in Atlantic City, where he performed a heartbreak song about an ex-partner moving on.

The emotional moment came months after his divorce from actress Nicole Kidman was finalized and amid speculation surrounding her romantic connection with another man.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s 19-year marriage officially came to an end in January, while recent reports have linked the actress to private equity businessman Michael Reinstein.

Urban’s emotional moment came after he performed “We Go Back,” a track from his latest album, Flow State.

Before singing it, the 58-year-old country star explained the story behind the song, which follows two people who fall in love young before the man makes a mistake that eventually costs him the relationship.

After performing several more songs, Urban appeared visibly moved as he looked out at the sold-out audience. He crouched down on the stage and seemingly wiped away a tear while fans responded with cheers and applause.

The singer eventually picked up his microphone and reflected on the connection he has with his Atlantic City audience, telling them, “This is why we keep coming back to Atlantic City.”

The timing of Urban’s performance has made the lyrics of “We Go Back” more striking, as the song deals with losing a longtime love through mistakes and realizing the relationship cannot be recovered.

While Urban did not directly say the song was about his marriage to Kidman, its themes of regret and separation have drawn attention following the end of their 19-year relationship.

The singer’s description of the track centers on a man who ruins a relationship before eventually encountering his former love again, only to discover that she has moved on.

Urban even appeared to acknowledge the character’s mistakes when he said, “I will do that.”

As reported by the Daily Mail, the lyrics capture that sense of remorse and regret, with Urban singing, “I know I never should have let you go. I was young and dumb, and I messed it all up bad.”

He later sings, “You tell me that it’s too late now, ’cause there’s somebody new around. But what we’ve got is the one thing you’ll never have.”

Given the circumstances surrounding Urban’s divorce, the emotional words have sparked speculation that the song may have resonated with his own feelings about the relationship ending.

Urban and Kidman’s marriage ended after nearly two decades together, with news of their separation emerging in September 2025 before their divorce was formally completed in January.

The couple had faced difficulties in the months leading up to their split, eventually bringing their 19-year marriage to a close.

Urban’s emotional concert came as Kidman has also been making headlines over her personal life. The actress was recently photographed spending time with private equity businessman Michael Reinstein during a trip to Italy, fueling rumors about a possible new romance.

A source close to Kidman told the Daily Mail about Kidman’s rumored romance with Reinstein, noting that the actress was ready to move on from her ex, Urban, and find love again.

“After everything she went through with Keith, she deserves to find happiness,” the source stated.

The insider also noted that Kidman had hoped her marriage with the country music star would last, saying, “She never thought her marriage wouldn’t work out and she tried as best as she could to keep her family intact.”

The former couple continues to share their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith, 15, making their separation not only the end of their marriage but also a major change for their family.

While Urban appeared emotional on stage, Kidman has spoken about approaching the next chapter of her life with openness.

In a recent interview with British Vogue, the actress reflected on accepting that life had not unfolded exactly as she expected.

“Trying things, making mistakes, failing, getting back up, moving on, embracing love, staying open, keeping the heart open and the possibilities,” she said.

Kidman also acknowledged that she has had to adapt to unexpected changes, explaining, “You make all these plans, and you have all these ideas of what it’s all going to be like, and then it’s…not. You have to adjust. You adapt.”

The actress has also emphasized the importance of her family following the split. Speaking to Variety in March, she said, “What I’m grateful for is my family, and keeping them as is, and moving forward. That’s that.”

For now, Kidman appears determined to look ahead, saying she is “always going to be moving toward what’s good.”

Tyrese Feuds With Bette Midler On Instagram Over AI Music

Published

on

Pre-GRAMMY Gala and GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Sean quot Diddy quot Combs - Red Carpet Arrivals

Tyrese is feuding with “Hocus Pocus” star Bette Midler on Instagram. The actress and singer posted a picture about a song that’s recently dominated certain music charts, calling it “good,” but said she’s disappointed the track is entirely made by AI. In the comments, many other singers and entertainers agreed with Midler, except Tyrese, who offered a different perspective. According to the “Sweet Lady” singer, Midler should either learn to live with AI or improve her skills, because from the looks of it, artificial intelligence doesn’t appear to be going anywhere any time soon.

On her social media, Midler shared a statement, criticizing the song “Celebrate Me” by IngaRose. The song has recently gone viral online and even snagged spots on verified music charts. However, the song is not performed by a human; it was created using the AI music platform Suno.

“This song, currently on the charts, is AI generated,” Midler wrote online. “It’s a good song,” she added; however, she has a problem with “every lick, every riff, every thought, phrasing style, every choke in the voice, every sorrowful sound” being stolen from “thousands of human artists since the beginning of recorded music.”

Midler continued, “This is #culturalgenocide.”

Midler’s post has caught the attention of many, with 82,000 likes and over 10,000 reposts. Several personalities agreed with Midler, including one who said they can tell when music is AI-generated because it “has this overly compressed, phasey, synthetic, flanged, over-processed sheen.”

Another even critiqued Midler, saying the song is not “good,” but rather “soulless.” They added, “It also tries too hard. If we have been listening, really listening, listening through the years, then we can tell this is sh-t.”

Tyrese was one public figure who disagreed with Midler, telling her that complaining wouldn’t change the reality of the situation. “AI isn’t going anywhere,” he wrote. “This song is actually a great song. I know it’s AI. So many are depressed, divorced, and discouraged. This song has even inspired ME!”

Tyrese Told Bette Midler To Get Better Instead Of Complain

And he didn’t stop there. Tyrese said that the hope he feels by listening to the song is something human artists haven’t been able to accomplish in years.

“What HUMAN writer and SINGER IS gonna write a song that’s better than this?? Don’t complain…. Just step your shhhhhhhh up…. The world needs HOPE,” he finished.

Tyrese’s message didn’t resonate with as many people as he might’ve thought. In fact, several Instagram users replied to his message, slamming him for promoting AI in music. “Shut your b-tch a** up,” someone said. “You should be against it also.”

SZA Slams ‘Degenerate’ AI Music In Empassioned Post

According to The Blast, SZA is another musician who slammed those who use and promote AI in music. Like Midler, she condemned AI machines that are trained on human vocals and sounds. She also slammed those in the industry who have embraced AI, describing them as “disgusting.” SZA added, “There’s NOTHING YOU COULD EVER SAY TO ME TO MAKE THIS OKAY.”

SZA has been open about her disdain for AI before. In 2025, she said she “hates” AI and doesn’t want to have any part of it. “Ppl and children are dying from the harm n pollution AI energy centers are creating. A stupid photo is not worth polluting and harming underserved communities. Thank you,” she said.

SZA also reflected on how AI artists are gaining recognition faster than human artists who have spent years trying to get noticed. “I’m genuinely sad for people who are trying to come up and their space is being taken up by a computer program. IT, not she, is taking all of the data it’s collected on us and what we want and is tailoring to us. Even down to the voice,” she said.

WB Scrapped the ‘Harry Potter’ Spinoff Fans Wanted More Than the Reboot

Published

on

Adrian Rawlins, David Thewlis, and Gary Oldman as James, Remus and Sirius in Harry Potter.

As massive and ubiquitous as the Harry Potter franchise is, there isn’t actually that much material in the Wizarding World. After completing the main series of seven books, author J.K. Rowling wrote some in-world reference books, a sequel stage play, and finally the scripts for the Fantastic Beasts spinoff films. There are games that explore other parts of the timeline as well, but that still leaves a lot of the Wizarding World unexplored. That’s one of the biggest reasons it was surprising for Warner Bros. to pursue a Harry Potter remake as an HBO series so soon after the movies’ conclusion, but apparently that wasn’t always the plan. According to an unverified report by Knight Edge Media, the studio considered expanding the franchise with a series focused on the Marauders instead.

Warner Bros. launched HBO Max in the spring of 2020, and the company was quick to leverage the Harry Potter franchise as one of its most recognizable intellectual properties. A 2021 article in The Hollywood Reporter mentioned multiple Harry Potter spinoffs in development for the new streamer, and now insiders say one of them was a show about the Marauders. This is the self-assigned nickname for Harry’s father James Potter and his friends Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew. The show would have explored their time at Hogwarts in the 1970s, including the creation the Marauders’ Map and other adventures.

A Marauders Series Could Have Expanded the Franchise

Before even considering the particulars of a Marauders prequel, this already sounds like a great idea. Exploring a different part of the timeline in the Wizarding World would have added new material and new life to the franchise, rather than rehashing familiar territory. It would have taken the pressure off the show to compete with the existing movies and let it find its own path. The Marauders are characters we already know a bit about — unlike the ensemble from Fantastic Beasts — so this would have hit close to home without feeling like a do-over.

On top of that, it just so happens a Marauders prequel is something fans have been wanting for a long time. There are posts on fan forums from decades ago remarking on how fun it would be to spend more time with these characters, and that sentiment hasn’t died down. The show could have given us a fresh perspective on many events we already know about, and there would have been room for new adventures as well. It would have made the Wizarding World setting feel more full and cohesive in all its forms.

Of course, remaking the main Harry Potter series has some obvious appeal to both fans and the studio, and there are things this show can do that the movies could not. These days, fantasy adaptations seem to be doing better as TV shows in general, and it makes sense for the studio to put Harry Potter on that same path. However, filling in a few obscure scenes from the books that were cut from the movies is not quite as exciting as fleshing out brand-new characters and exploring Voldemort’s first rise to power from behind the walls of Hogwarts.

The Marauders May Not Be Off The Map

Marauders fans can hold out hope that their prequel will still get made someday in some form, especially if the Harry Potter remake series is as successful as Warner Bros. is anticipating. Renewed interest in the franchise could spark all kinds of expansions, and this concept has clearly made its way to Hollywood boardrooms before. That said, there are some major obstacles that writers and producers would have to tackle before they could bring a Marauders series to life.

Like all prequels, a Marauders show would need to find some source of suspense and narrative tension for an audience that already knows what’s going to happen. One of the best ways for prequels to do this is to reach far enough back in the timeline to explore an event with some mystery left around it — for example, the Fantastic Beasts series’ focus on the dark wizard Grindelwald. This would be much more difficult for the Marauders, since their stories are laid out pretty plainly in the main series itself. Some fans might still like to go along for the ride and take a closer look, but the show would still need some enduring suspense to keep it going.

It’s also worth noting that a Marauders series would inevitably disappoint a large swath of the fandom one way or another when it comes to romance. Fan fiction and forum discussion about the Marauders is often linked to romantic ships among them — most notably between Sirius and Remus. The show would either need to walk a fine line of teasing out this pairing without confirming it, or take a firm stance, either way leaving many fans heartbroken.

Of course, that brings us back to Rowling, who maintains an enormous amount of creative control of the franchise. She has been criticized in the past for her handling of LGBTQ+ representation, and those issues have only grown worse in this decade. In 2016, the University of Florida’s Jacquelin Elliott wrote that Rowling had “foreclosed on alternate readings” of her book, with the popular Remus/Sirius pairing as a prime example. However, Rowling’s outspoken transphobia of the last six years has driven many fans to boycott her work in all its forms anyway, and a Marauders prequel would be unlikely to draw them back regardless of its approach to LGBTQ+ representation.

For now, the whole Harry Potter franchise — and Warner Bros. itself — hinges on the success or failure of the Harry Potter remake series, premiering on December 25 on HBO and HBO Max. The second season is in pre-production now.
