PlayStation Officially Announces Free Games for July 2026
Video game fans have had more than enough content so far this year to keep them satisfied, and one of the first new releases came back in March with Crimson Desert, hailing from the developer Pearl Abyss. Back at the start of June, one of the most anticipated games of the year finally dropped after years worth of delays, and it’s safe to say that 007 First Light lived up to the hype. Developer IO Interactive has already confirmed that it is working on a sequel to the game. Coming in July are two big releases on the same day, with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and EA Sports College Football 27, which are both launching on July 9. This is only part of what gaming fans have to be excited about in 2026, though.
Coming in September from Insomniac, the same studio behind the critically acclaimed Spider-Man trilogy, is Marvel’s Wolverine, a brand-new PS5 exclusive following the legendary clawed mutant. This will be one of the last big releases before GTA 6, which has been set for release on November 19. For gamers who are looking for something to play while waiting for these exciting new releases coming in the next few months, PlayStation has you covered. Just a few days ago, the gaming company finally announced the trio of games that will be available for this month’s PS Plus subscribers, and they include Black Desert, Blades of Fire, and Farming Simulator 25. These games are all available to download for free, starting today, June 30, and anyone who downloads them before the end of the month will have access to them forever.
How Much Does ‘GTA 6’ Cost?
Last week, Rockstar Games finally revealed the prices for GTA 6, and fans have been divided over the latest update. The base GTA 6 game will cost $80, making it one of the first games in history to bump the price up from $70, and the Ultimate Edition for GTA 6 will cost $100. Players who pay the extra $20 for the Ultimate Edition will have access to additional cosmetic shops to customize cars, change clothes, adjust tattoos, and more. The base game launching on November 19 will also only be single-player, and Rockstar has confirmed that multiplayer will come at a later date, likely for an additional cost.
Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of all the hottest gaming releases coming later this year.

Raunchy And Forgotten 2000’s Crime Comedy Is An R-Rated Naked Gun
By Robert Scucci
| Published

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering what Naked Gun humor would play like if any of the films were R-Rated, it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect. Wordplay and visual gags dominate both the dialogue and the background, but there’s a whole lot more cursing and the occasional bare bottom for good measure. If you want to see this kind of humor in practice, your best bet is 2001’s Camouflage, starring none other than the Prince of Puns himself, Leslie Nielsen. Nielsen does what he does best in Camouflage, saying and doing the most off-the-wall things with a completely straight face while operating as an authority figure, even though there are thousands of men better suited for the job.
You’ll recognize all the familiar neo-noir crime comedy beats in Camouflage, which critics always seem to hate. 1993’s Fatal Instinct, one of my favorite films in the subgenre, currently boasts a 14 percent critical score on Rotten Tomatoes. Similarly, Camouflage doesn’t even have a critical score, and isn’t faring much better with audiences, sitting at a 17 percent approval rating.

While I’ll be the first to admit that Camouflage doesn’t hold a candle to classics like Airplane! or The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, I’d say it certainly competes with the 2025 Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson-led reboot in the sense that all the mechanics for a great comedy are there. It’s simply more of the same without really offering anything new to the formula.
Still, it’s Leslie Nielsen reliably being Leslie Nielsen, so if you’re a fan of his work in this wheelhouse, you really can’t go wrong with Camouflage.
Drunk On Power, And Pepsi?

In Camouflage, Marty Mackenzie (Lochlyn Munro) is technically the main character, but his burning desire to become a detective leads him straight to Jack Porter (Leslie Nielsen). Marty is a struggling (read: failed) actor, and when his detective-themed play is killed by critics before it even has a chance at a proper premiere, he decides he needs to play the field in order to improve it. He tracks down Jack Porter, a hard-boiled private eye whose ulcers are so bad that he’s switched to swigging Pepsi from his flask.
The problem is that Jack is on the verge of retirement and has grown cynical because most of his cases involve spying on unfaithful partners and ruining marriages by documenting their infidelity. Marty convinces Jack to let him handle an infidelity case, which leads him to Beaver Ridge, Oregon, where he stumbles across the kind of crime any real detective would want to sink his teeth into: a murder plot.

Basically, Marty is trying to get pictures of an unfaithful partner bumping uglies outside a construction site when he witnesses an explosion meant to take out its owner, Lionel Pond (Tom Aldredge), a seemingly wealthy real estate tycoon who’s secretly on the verge of bankruptcy according to his banker, Horace Tutt, Junior (Patrick Warburton). Complicating matters is Sheriff Alton Owens (William Forsythe), who doesn’t take kindly to the presence of either detective and always seems to show up at active crime scenes during the most incriminating possible times.
The woman closest to the case, Cindy Davies (Vanessa Angel), becomes romantically involved with Marty, and her insight into the investigation sends him on a wild goose chase that raises more questions than answers. Don’t worry, though, because this results in Marty nearly succumbing to cannibalism, but only after destroying Jack’s Chevelle and before destroying his surveillance van.
The Humor Is Reliable, But Not Top Form

Camouflage is disappointing because for every home run of a joke, there are several that swing and miss. Classic bangers like, “Don’t call me a softy. The Viagra fixed that,” are predictable but comfortable, but I was never able to fully understand why Jack Porter insisted on calling everybody a pecker. It’s funny on its own when used in passing once or twice, but he says it often enough to make me think writers Billy Bob Thornton, Tom Epperson, and Karl Schanzer believed they had an epic catchphrase on their hands.
Lochlyn Munro, whose brand of comedy I can only really take in small doses, plays off Nielsen like the two went way back before working together on this film, and the mix of his naivety and Nielsen’s cynicism is what really sells Camouflage. It’s a comedy of errors that’s heavy on slapstick, and some of the best moments happen when something blows up in the background, only for Marty to look completely dumbfounded even though he’s experiencing the exact kind of danger he wanted to experience in the first place.

Camouflage is a lower-brow, R-Rated version of the Naked Gun films that inspired it, and while it’s certainly a diamond in the rough, it’s far from Leslie Nielsen’s finest hour. If you’re a fan of his work and this kind of humor specifically, you’ll have a great time watching it. If you’re hoping it’s going to reinvent the wheel and change how you think about comedy forever, then you don’t know dick about being a dick!

As of this writing, Camouflage is streaming free on Tubi.

Nara Smith Reveals Whimsy Lou Has Cancer
Smith became a household name from her TikTok videos, where she cooks meals from scratch. Smith shared the heavy news with her fans on Wednesday, July 1, posting a video on her Instagram and other social media pages.
“There’s no easy way to say this or to talk about any of this,” she began. “But late last year, our daughter Whimsy was diagnosed with cancer.”
Nara added that after going to her daughter’s pediatrician, she instinctively knew Whimsy’s illness was cancer before the doctor told her.
“When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn’t quite know what to make of it. When we took her into our pediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm … My heart dropped in that moment. I don’t know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom’s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer.”
The mother of four added that Whimsy immediately began chemotherapy treatments. She explained that the diagnosis and caretaking for her family are why she’s been posting less on social media. It’s unclear what Whimsy’s current health status is.

Malcolm in the Middle Cast: Where Are They Now?
Malcolm in the Middle’s plucky attitude made it one of the most iconic TV shows of the early 2000s — and fans are still trying to keep up with the cast.
The comedy, which was a faux memoir of middle child Malcolm Wilkerson (Frankie Muniz), detailed the Wilkerson family’s low-income, dysfunctional life and all the highs and lows that came with it. The sitcom reminded viewers that all families are complicated — but even the most wild relatives can’t out crazy the Wilkersons.
Throughout its seven-season run, which lasted from 2000 to 2006, the series earned 33 Emmy nominations, seven wins and seven Golden Globe nominations. Muniz brought to life whiz kid Malcolm but the Wilkerson squad also consisted of two older brothers — Francis Wilkerson (Christopher Masterson) and Reese Wilkerson (Justin Berfield) — and the baby, Dewey Wilkerson (Erik Per Sullivan). Cloris Leachman rounded out the cast as grandma Ida.
More than a decade after Malcolm in the Middle came to an end, the Wilkerson family is still on the minds of many of the show’s diehard fans and in December 2024 Disney+ ordered a limited, four-episode revival featuring Muniz, Cranston and Kaczmarek.

Taylor Swift’s Relationship With Travis Kelce’s Nieces
Taylor Swift has fully embraced auntie mode ahead of her highly anticipated wedding to Travis Kelce.
“Everybody knows how close Travis is with his family, so it really means everything to him how seamlessly Taylor blends in with all of them,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2024 of Swift’s easy rapport with Kelce’s relatives. “His family is all about just hanging out, joking and having a great time. It’s almost like she’s known his family forever, and he loves that about her.”
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have been together since summer 2023. In the years since, the pop star has blended seamlessly in with the Kelce clan — including with the four daughters of Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie Kelce: (Jason and Kylie are parents of Wyatt, Ellie, Bennett and Finnley.)
Keep scrolling to learn more about Swift’s role as an aunt to the Kelce girls:
Taylor Swift Bakes for Travis Kelce’s Nieces
During her August 2025 debut on the Jason and Travis’ “New Heights” podcast, the pop superstar opened up about her hobbies, which she jokingly called “grandma” coded — including a sourdough fixation that has turned into a family-wide love language between her and Travis’ four nieces.
“Right now, we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession,” she said at the time. “I’ve been workshopping [one] for the girls because they love everything rainbow: Funfetti sourdough.”
She added, “They love sprinkles. We put sprinkles in everything when we hang out.”

Elsewhere during her “New Heights” debut, Swift revealed that she aimed to show the girls that cats weren’t poisonous despite Jason’s claims to the contrary.
“As soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous,” she said. “There’s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my ragdoll cat, who lets humans hold him like he’s a baby. My favorite thing ever is when Bennie will come up to me and just go, ‘I find Benjamin, I find him.’ And she’s just over there laying with him and petting him and holding him.”
Swift has three pet cats: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.
“The cats are so good with kids,” she gushed. “They’re just like, ‘Meredith is here!’ I’m like, ‘And you know what? She didn’t bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldn’t be poisonous.’ They’re like, ‘That’s not what our dad said.’”
Wyatt Kelce’s Favorite Taylor Swift Song
Long before Swift’s baking phase and feline hangouts, Jason and Kylie’s oldest was already a superfan. At Kelce Jam in May 2024, Travis told Access Hollywood that Wyatt has a clear favorite pick from Swift’s catalog.
When the interviewer rattled off tracks including “The Alchemy,” “Fearless” and “The Man,” Travis lit up at the last one.
“There’s so many. ‘The Man’ is my niece’s favorite, so we can always go with ‘The Man,’” he said, referring to Wyatt.
Swift later invited Wyatt and her sisters Ellie and Bennett to see multiple concerts onThe Eras Tour in 2024.
Meeting the Newest Kelce
Jason and Kylie welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce, in March 2025. Swift subtly congratulated the couple by “liking” Kylie’s Instagram announcement.
Months later, Jason told Entertainment Tonight that Swift met the newborn in person.
“We were fortunate to have them all in. It doesn’t happen often — everybody’s busy — but it was really special,” he told the outlet in May 2025. “Thankfully we have a really tight-knit family that makes time for each other, and it’s been awesome.”
Taylor Swift Sits With Kylie Kelce and Her Girls at Chiefs Game
Kylie brought her kids to Travis’ home football game for the first time in December 2025, where they sat with Swift in a private box.
“The girls had not yet seen Uncle Trav play in Arrowhead Stadium,” Kylie said on her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast later that month. “It was also super exciting to get to see friends and family that were there, because the girls were so excited to get to watch a game with all of them. They are not that interested in football, to be quite honest with you. They actually yell at us any time we try to put football on the TV and only get on board after a little while of realizing that they can freely yell.”
She added of her youngest daughter, “Finnie slept for, like, an hour and a half there, so she’s a real one. She actually slept through all the screaming and cheering, which is hilarious to me.”

Extremely R-Rated Road Thriller You Never Heard Of Will Push Your Loyalty To The Limit
By Robert Scucci
| Published

I love tight thrillers with even tighter runtimes because sometimes you don’t need any worldbuilding whatsoever to set a story in motion. 2012’s Sun Don’t Shine is one of those films, clocking in at 82 minutes, and it’s an absolute masterclass in showing without telling, which is increasingly difficult to find these days in the streaming era.
By Season 5, the Stranger Things kids basically stared directly into the camera while spelling out crucial plot points to accommodate second-screen viewing. Lesser thrillers feel like we need to know everybody’s backstory before we can get into the conflict. Sometimes it’s necessary. Past is prologue, and we need some sort of character foundation to launch from.

Sun Don’t Shine isn’t that kind of movie, and its thrills come from not knowing where the protagonists are coming from or where they’re going. As a viewer, it’s up to you to put the pieces together and figure out exactly what the conflict is, and whether we should trust, or even like, the people whose lives we’re watching fall apart in real time.
It Starts With A Body And Gets So Much Worse
When we’re first introduced to Crystal (Kate Lyn Sheil), she’s in the middle of nowhere getting roughed up by a man named Leo (Kentucker Audley), who we soon learn is her boyfriend. Right off the rip, it’s reasonable to assume that Crystal is some sort of helpless abuse victim for a number of reasons. She’s very soft-spoken, appears to be in the middle of an ongoing mental health crisis, and we don’t know who, or what, is responsible for her current state of mind.

Leo is also a man of few words, but he seems determined to see his way through whatever nightmare he’s currently navigating. Through their conversations and behavior, we learn that there’s a dead body in the trunk of Leo’s car, but who killed him remains unclear.
Leo has a plan that he thinks will make everything better, which involves dropping Crystal off at a campsite while he spends the night with his ex-girlfriend, Terri (Kit Gwin), as a means of establishing alibis. Crystal, suspecting Leo of cheating on her with an old flame, refuses to stick to the script, and that’s when her rage, and his indifference, begins to surface for everybody to see.
This Movie Will Wreck You

What’s so enthralling about Sun Don’t Shine is how much it accomplishes by making you read between the lines. It actually trusts the viewer to arrive at their own conclusions. On the other side of the coin, by the time you reach the third act, you’ll have witnessed enough traumatizing scenes to fully understand what truly makes this relationship tick, who’s actually in the wrong, and who deserves a shot at redemption.
Not knowing who the body belongs to, or how they died, really makes you wonder why Leo is so on edge while handling the situation with Crystal. It’s during the quiet moments of reflection, when the couple isn’t on the run, that we learn just how messed up their lives are at this moment in time, and how their recent actions are about to blow up in their faces.

Kate Lyn Sheil’s ability to transform Crystal from a sobbing damsel in distress into a full-blown psycho, and Kentucker Audley’s willingness to wear whatever face Crystal needs his character to in the moment to make sure their plan goes off without a hitch, should be studied by filmmakers because I didn’t know who to root for until all the cards were laid out on the table.
Honestly, I still don’t. I’ll be thinking about Sun Don’t Shine for a long time because you only see what you see, and you have to read between the lines. Those lines, though, are crossed frequently and often blurred, making neither lead particularly sympathetic nor worthy of abject condemnation. We’re simply watching two people at their wits’ end after one, or both of them, did something horrible, and they’re trying to process the trauma of it all with very little time to lay low and gather their senses.

Sun Don’t Shine is far from an easy watch, but it’s a powerhouse of a thriller that will keep you up at night. The final lines uttered from Crystal’s mouth will haunt you, and if that’s what you’re looking for in a thriller, you’ll find it here.

As of this writing, Sun Don’t Shine is streaming for free on Tubi.

Young and Restless Early Spoilers July 6-10: Jack’s Risky Scheme, Sally Seething & Jill Leaves!
Young and the Restless spoilers for July 06-10, 2026 tease as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is making a tricky move to outbox crazy Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Plus, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is ticked at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) running his mouth and Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) is going to make her exit out of Genoa City.
And as we always do on Early Edition Day, we’ll talk about the rest of this week and then discuss what is coming the week of July 6th through the 10th.
Young and the Restless: Schemes and Deceptions – July 1st Through 3rd
So, on Wednesday, July 1st, we’ve got Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) talking more with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about hiring Billy. And of course, Lily thinks it’s a bad idea, but Cane thinks he can handle Billy and that he will be an asset to Chancellor. And Cane does admit he’s feeling a bit guilty. But Lily says Billy might destroy himself with this opportunity. But Cane is hoping to fix his family. So Lily finally says, “Okay, do it.”
Sally, meanwhile, worries Jill will shut down her company. And that’s because Billy told Jill he knows she funded Sally when he said he would keep that secret. Billy says that Cane is CEO of Chancellor and he’s ticked about that and Jill’s approval of Cane and the role. And Billy’s wallowing in his mommy issues until Cane calls and says, “Bring Sally and come meet us.”
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Stuns Billy
So, Billy and Sally join Cane and Lily. They offer congratulations on Sally’s baby and their engagement. And Billy is stunned when Cane asks him to head up R&D at Chancellor. Billy asks what Sally thinks and she wants him to take his time before deciding. Then they leave. Lily likes this new version of Cane and they do some smooching.
Meanwhile, Jack tells Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that he got onto Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) property, but the guy’s got guard dogs that chased him off. Jack is sure that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is in the house, and Kyle thinks Patty warned Markham, and that’s why he called on him and was there.
Jack has the private eye staking out Markham’s, but says they don’t have enough to bring in the cops yet. So Jack wonders why Dr. Markham is helping Patty. And then Jack comes up with a new angle to try. He goes home and finds a note from Patty asking him to meet her in the hot tub.
And Jack gets into Patty’s phone and texts Markham to meet her ASAP, saying it’s an emergency. He then alerts Kyle, who heads over to Markham’s. So, it looks like Jack is going to distract Patty while Markham is lured away so Kyle can get in there.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Diane’s Plan in Motion
We have Diane fussing about the barking dogs, and Markham says they’re very loyal. He likes the outfit he picked out for Diane, and there’s some flirting going on. Markham says he got her the sedatives she wanted and says he’ll give her one each night at bedtime. Diane plans to cook them dinner and asks him to get wine.
Markham goes to grab a bottle from the cellar and Diane rifles his pockets, finds the bottle, and takes some of the sleeping pills. She flirts with Markham, tells him she appreciates him and wants to make him a nice dinner to thank him. He seems totally smitten with Diane.
And then Markham gets the text from Jack from Patty’s phone, says he’s got a patient emergency, and then he hustles out. Diane promises to hold dinner for him. And when Markham’s gone, she crushes the pills and drugs his food.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, July 2nd
Nate opens up to Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) about the past. I’m wondering if Nate’s going to explain why he is not a surgeon anymore. This story is not pretty. Do you guys remember Nate was sleeping with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) when she was with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James)?
And then when he found out, he pummeled Nate, who wound up severing a hand tendon, and that caused the nerve damage that makes Nate’s hands too shaky to perform surgery anymore. And I’m curious to see if Nate’s going to tell Stephanie that Devon’s the one who caused his injury and why Nate got his butt kicked to start with. I think Devon went too hard, but obviously Nate wasn’t innocent.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Noah & Nick Don’t Trust Matt
Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is trying to convince Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) of something, but they just don’t believe him. Don’t blame them. This may be more of Matt trying to sell his redeemed guy. I do wonder if Roger Howarth is going to be ousted when the new writer comes to Y&R because so many fans hate the rapist redemption storyline. I’d honestly be fine if they just killed off Matt and wrote a new character for Roger Howarth. They did that on General Hospital when his rapist redemption storyline on the ABC soap got continual push back and criticism from fans over there.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has a plan that he will not reveal and I suspect it’s about making things right with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). I’m expecting a grand gesture from Victor. Maybe the house being set up to accommodate a vision-impaired Nikki because I’d be stunned in July Sweeps if her eyesight starts working right away.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, July 3rd
Kyle makes a move to rescue Diane from Markham’s house, but things go in an unexpected way. So, Jack sent that fake text from Patty’s phone to Markham to lure him out. That way, Kyle can get in, but the dogs are free range on the property. I think they’re Dobermans. So, I hope Kyle does not get eaten.
Meanwhile, Jack plays a dangerous game with Patty, so Jack’s got to keep her distracted and away from her phone while Kyle does his thing. So, Jack may have to get in the hot tub with his psycho house guest. I would love it if Kyle saves Diane, but that seems awfully fast for any Josh Griffith plot.
Can I just say again how excited I am that he’s about to be gone. So, I hope CBS Daytime is going through a whole pile of resumes right now to replace him for Young and the Restless. But it looks like we’ve got about three more months of his nonsense though before a new writer is in place. They are aiming for the start of Season 54, which kicks off in October.

Young and the Restless: Romance and Relapse Risks – July 6th Through 10th
The week of July 6th through the 10th, official Y&R spoilers have Lily letting her guard down with Cane. And I expect Lily takes things to the bedroom with Cane. And I think we’re going to see Lily and Cane enjoying some sexy time in July Sweeps. Him being all nice to Billy with that guilt-motivated job offer impressed her. Even though Lily knows she’ll probably have to end up firing Billy.
Sally wants Billy to take time considering Cane’s job offer, but come on, there’s no way that Billy will turn down the chance to be a Chancellor executive. However, as Lily said, this could lead Billy down another path of self-destruction.
We still have a few more Jill episodes left before the short recast run is done. I think maybe three more episodes, so she should be done by the end of the week of July 6th.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Newmans Wait Anxiously
The Newmans wait to see if Nikki’s got her eyesight back when the bandages come off, but it wouldn’t be very soapy if she did. I expect more of a gradual recovery. Meanwhile, Victor has his work cut out for him as he and Nikki continue to be tested.
Nick’s struggles may soon get the better of him. Official Y&R spoilers point to a relapse, and it might come after he walks in on Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Matt in a compromising position soon. I’m interested to see Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) reaction to Phyllis dating the man who assaulted her once and tried to do it another time.
Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) continues to support Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) through Nikki’s health crisis, and they get more serious. Meanwhile, Stephanie continues to prompt Nate to consider a return to medicine in some capacity, you know, even if it is not into surgery.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jill Catches Up with Loved Ones
Cane is excited to spend more time with Jill. She and Lily need to catch up, too. And Cane will welcome Billy with open arms at Chancellor. Plus, Sally also gets some facetime with her future mother-in-law, Jill, who’s also the primary and sole investor in her business. They’re going to talk baby and wedding plans and more about Spectra Designs and how it’s doing.
Patty’s going to come totally unglued when she finds out what Jack and Kyle have cooked up behind her back. Diane is increasingly desperate to get away from Markham. Hopefully, she’s free soon. And July spoilers say that Patty is far from done wreaking havoc on Diane and Jack’s marriage.

Marvel’s Best Detective Is Officially Returning to Paramount’s 10/10 Crime Thriller
After a 12-year gap since its successful run that also led to a much-needed franchise expansion, Dexter returned to television with arguably its best series so far. Taking place in Miami, Dexter tells the story of its title character, a forensic technician who specializes in bloodstain pattern analysis for the fictional Miami Metro PD. However, he secretly leads a double life as a vigilante serial killer, targeting murderers who evade justice because of corruption or legal loopholes.
The crime hit aired on Showtime from October 1, 2006, to September 22, 2013, spanning 8 seasons and 96 episodes, which attracted a large audience and received critical acclaim. Due to this success, Dexter expanded into multiple sequels, including one that’s returning for its highly anticipated second season. Easily the best and most beloved franchise sequel, Dexter: Resurrection last aired on September 5, 2025, with that massive finale, and a month later, the psychological thriller was renewed. A release date has yet to be announced; however, several casting updates have made headlines over the past few weeks, with the most recent hinting at the resurrection of a character who was killed off.
Per new reports, Krysten Ritter is returning to New York as a guest star for another season of Dexter: Resurrection for Paramount+. Her character details remain under wraps, but that definitely won’t stop fans from coming up with theories, seeing as her Season 1 character, Mia, a.k.a. Lady Vengeance, a serial killer by night and sommelier by day, was killed while in jail. Ritter joins the previously announced Uma Thurman, who returns for Season 2 to reprise her character, Charley.
Who Else Stars in ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2?
In addition to Ritter and Thurman, the new cast for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 includes newcomers Brian Cox as The New York Ripper, Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine as Captain Mixon, and Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona Mixon.
From showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection is set ten weeks after the events of Dexter: New Blood. Michael C. Hall reprises his role as Dexter Morgan, who took a bullet to the chest from his own son Harrison (Jack Alcott). Upon recovering from his near-fatal gunshot wound, he finds Harrison is gone without a trace, but eventually tracks him to New York City. But when Captain Angel Batista tracks him from Miami, Dexter realizes that his past is catching up with him faster than he realized. A description for Season 2 has yet to be revealed.
Stay tuned for more updates about Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.
