Sacha Baron Cohen’s Ali G Movie Faces Boycott

Published

Sacha Baron Cohen‘s latest Ali G project is facing an organized effort to derail its theatrical rollout before it reaches audiences. The campaign has drawn tens of thousands of requests urging cinema chains to steer clear of the controversial comedy.

The uproar echoes criticism Baron Cohen faced more than two decades ago, when Black British comedians and activists accused the character of trafficking in racist stereotypes.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s return as Ali G is already stirring controversy before the character makes his way back to theaters.

The comedian is reviving his famous alter ego in Amazon MGM’s upcoming mockumentary, “Ali G: Who Iz I?,” which is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 23. However, the trailer has prompted fresh criticism of the character, with some social media users branding Ali G an outdated and racist caricature.

The backlash has also now moved beyond online complaints. NewsCord launched a campaign urging cinemas not to screen the movie and says it has sent more than 36,000 emails to theater chains on behalf of supporters.

Critics have pointed to Ali G’s imitation of Black British, hip-hop and Jamaican culture, including his fake dreadlocks and exaggerated speech. Similar concerns followed the character during his original rise to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Still, reports that the campaign has already convinced a major cinema chain to drop the film appear premature. Picturehouse Cinemas reportedly said it currently had no plans to screen the movie, but Variety noted that no final decision had been made.

The debate surrounding Ali G’s brand of comedy dates back more than a quarter-century.

In 2000, several prominent Black British comedians criticized Baron Cohen’s character in comments published by New Nation. Curtis Walker described the act as “offensive,” while Felix Dexter argued that its humor allowed middle-class audiences to laugh at Black street culture without feeling politically incorrect.

Others saw the character differently. Gina Yashere said she did not consider Ali G racist, although she believed Baron Cohen’s race helped make the act commercially acceptable. A New Nation reader poll also found more than 80% of respondents were Ali G fans.

Not everyone is eager to see Ali G disappear from movie theaters, however. NBA star Kevin Durant and rapper A$AP Rocky are among the prominent names who have shown support for Baron Cohen’s return as the controversial character, according to TheWrap.

Durant was particularly enthusiastic about the comeback. “My brother Sacha Baron Cohen is back. Let’s go,” the Houston Rockets star reportedly wrote on Instagram.

The movie is also finding support from within the cinema industry. A Danish theater chain rejected NewsCord’s request to keep it off its screens, arguing that cinemas should offer audiences a broad range of films, including works that some viewers may find provocative or offensive.

Baron Cohen may not have predicted the scale of the reaction to Ali G’s return, but he appeared well aware that reviving the character could cause trouble.

When unveiling the trailer, Baron Cohen leaned directly into the risks surrounding politically incorrect comedy. “In an age when a single comedian’s career can be ended by a single un-PC joke, I thought I’d play it safe and bring this guy back,” he wrote on X.

The remark was clearly tongue-in-cheek, but it also suggested Baron Cohen knew Ali G was hardly the safest character to resurrect in 2026.

Baron Cohen has repeatedly found himself in hot water over the characters that made him famous.

His fictional Kazakh journalist Borat drew the ire of Kazakhstan’s government, which threatened Baron Cohen with legal action in 2005. The character’s first movie later faced lawsuits from people who claimed they were duped or humiliated by their appearances.

Two South Carolina college students sued after being shown making racist and misogynistic comments. Residents of a Romanian village used as Borat’s hometown also pursued legal action, seeking millions in damages.

Baron Cohen’s 2009 movie “Brüno” brought another round of legal trouble. A Palestinian man, Ayman Abu Aita, filed a $110 million lawsuit after the movie identified him as a terrorist and member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. Abu Aita denied the allegation and said he had never been involved with terrorist activity.

Kendall Jenner’s Brother Addressed Concerns About Jacob Elordi

Brody Jenner is publicly stepping in to set the record straight regarding his sister Kendall Jenner’s ongoing romance with actor Jacob Elordi

Following claims that their family harbored reservations about the couple’s relationship dynamics, the media personality pushed back directly against the media speculation.

Kendall and Elordi were first linked to each other at the beginning of the year. Although they have largely kept their romance private, they have been spotted showing affection to each other on multiple public outings.

Brody directly addressed and rejected recent claims regarding his half-sister Kendall and her boyfriend, actor Elordi.

The pushback follows a previous assertion that the Kardashian-Jenner clan held deep concerns about the 29-year-old actor.

Specifically, an allegation that family members were uneasy because Elordi was supposedly failing to contribute financially toward the couple’s lavish outings.

Taking to the comment section of an Instagram post, the 43-year-old reality star firmly shut down the rumors, writing, “I can confirm that this is clickbait.”

Brody’s comment was accompanied by a thumbs-down emoji to express his disdain for the narrative, as reported by US Weekly.

The romance between 30-year-old Kendall and Elordi first made headlines earlier in the year after the pair transitioned their long-standing friendship into a romantic relationship.

Notably, Brody’s public denial serves to dismantle claims of family tension as the couple continues to spend time together.

Brody’s public defense of his sister followed reports regarding internal family anxiety over Kendall and Elordi’s romantic dynamic.

The Blast previously reported that the fast-moving courtship between the 30-year-old supermodel and the 29-year-old actor raised eyebrows within her inner circle after she rapidly transitioned from single life into a relationship.

Relatives allegedly expressed concern that Kendall may be over-accommodating her new partner. Reports indicated that family members felt she was taking on the brunt of their relationship arrangements by organizing luxury travel, reserving private aviation, and hosting him at her private residences in Beverly Hills and Montecito.

According to an insider, certain relatives questioned if Kendall was catering excessively to Elordi, noting that her protective family, particularly her sister Khloé Kardashian, urged her to stay cautious.

Meanwhile, external critics raised questions about Elordi’s motives, with one source alleging the actor relishes the public attention that comes with dating Jenner. The source pointedly described the increased celebrity exposure as “a drug to his ego.”

Despite skepticism surrounding their romance, Kendall’s efforts to integrate Elordi into her private life highlight the growing seriousness of their connection.

According to The Blast, the supermodel gradually introduced the “Wuthering Heights” actor to her closest inner circle, and he soon met key family members, including Kris, Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney Kardashian, alongside several prominent celebrity friends.

Notably, Kendall also took Elordi to meet Caitlyn Jenner. Insiders noted that introducing a partner to Caitlyn is a rare move for Kendall, who has historically kept that aspect of her personal life private.

While Kendall has taken steps to introduce Elordi to her family, public observations of their outings have led to differing interpretations of their relationship.

Analysis of viral footage from Chris Stapleton’s performance at the Gorge Amphitheater pointed to noticeable differences in how Kendall and Elordi presented themselves. The Blast reported that despite wearing matching white T-shirts in a side-stage VIP area, they appeared to be uneasy.

A celebrity body language expert, Inbaal Honigman, evaluated their physical cues, suggesting the supermodel appeared surprisingly insecure while the actor remained composed.

“Kendall sits by the side of the stage with Jacob, and their body language could not be more different from each other. While he leans back, casual and confident, she uses big, broad moves, designed to attract attention, indicating insecurity,” Honigman noted.

However, she also stated that her assessment offers a behavioral perspective rather than a definitive conclusion about their relationship status.

In addition to gaining acceptance from her relatives,  Elordi has reportedly been captivated by the high-profile network surrounding Kendall, per The Blast.

Although the 29-year-old actor has worked alongside major Hollywood stars, insiders previously claimed that he is incredibly impressed by the number of cultural heavyweights in Kendall’s inner circle.

The insider further noted that Elordi views Kendall’s circle as a distinct shift from the social scene surrounding his ex-girlfriend Olivia Jade Giannulli, whom he dated on and off.

Furthermore, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner has reportedly expressed enthusiasm for supporting Elordi’s career expansion beyond acting, adding to his excitement about joining the family’s world.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Lori Loughlin Makes Grand Instagram Return

Published

Lori Loughlin at An Unforgettable Evening 2026

Wake up! America, Lori Loughlin is back like she never left!

The actress who played Rebecca Donaldson on the popular ABC sitcom, “Full House,” had stepped away from Instagram for about seven years since her infamous school admissions scandal.

Lori Loughlin and her then-husband, Mossimo Giannulli, served time after pleading guilty to paying half a million dollars in bribes to secure admission spots for their daughters into the University of Southern California.

Loughlin made her first Instagram post in seven years after previously deleting her account and staying away from the spotlight. The actress announced her highly anticipated return to social media with the help of her “Full House” co-stars. Each entertainer had their moment in the video, delivering an iconic line from the show.

The video featured John Stamos, Scott Weinger, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and Dave Coulier all holding a cup of coffee as they said Loughlin’s famous line, “Wake up, San Francisco,” from the sitcom.

The actress appeared after the clips of her co-stars lip-syncing a different line from “Full House.” “Hi, I’m Rebecca Donaldson, and I’m welcoming myself back to the show,” she lip-synced. “Welcome back, Becky. Why, thank you, Becky,” she said, followed by the iconic background audience laughter.

Loughlin’s post ended with a clip from the 80’s sitcom featuring Bob Saget, who played one of the show’s lead roles. “Wake up, San Francisco, I’m Danny Tanner,” Saget said, iconically introducing his character. Present-day Loughlin reappeared on screen to introduce herself alongside a round of applause, “And I’m Rebecca Donaldson.”

Fans Were Thrilled To Have The Actress Back Online

Loughlin’s new account already has over 40,000 followers, and her grand return post has received reactions from more than three times that number.

Many fans took to the comments to express that they were happy about the TV star’s return to Instagram. “Welcome back! We’ve missed you!” a fan wrote while another added, “YAAASSS! Aunt Becky is back!”

Several fans wondered if this was a subtle announcement that another season of “Full House” was coming. “I thought this was a video to say there was a new season coming out,” a netizen’s comment read.

Others wrote compliments about the actress’s looks, noting that she looked good even after all these years, while the clip of Saget in the reel tugged at the heartstrings of some users. Saget passed away in 2022 at the age of 65 in his Florida hotel room.

John Stamos, who played Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom, was Loughlin’s character’s love interest, whom she later married and had twin boys with on the show. The co-stars, despite giving fans a view of a realistic budding romance and playing a couple on-screen, kept their real lives separate.

Stamos, during a last year appearance on a podcast, was asked if he would ever leave his wife, Caitlin McHugh, for his “Full House” partner, to which he gave a resounding no. He maintained his commitment to McHugh and clarified that there is “No f-ucking way!” that he would leave his wife.

The Blast shared that Loughlin and Stamos have maintained a platonic friendship over the years. The actor described his co-star as a “good person,” adding that he and McHugh have been pillars of support for her during her legal troubles and divorce from Giannulli.

Mossimo Giannulli Reportedly Had Doubts About Her Friendship With Stamos

In that same interview, Stamos gave a piece of his mind about his friend’s husband. He explained that he cut ties with Giannulli, whom he also labeled a “terrible narcissist.”

According to reports from insiders, Giannulli wasn’t a fan of Stamos either. He felt the actor’s relationship with his then-wife went beyond friendship and was “too flirty for comfort.” The Blast shared that the fashion designer did not hide his frustration with Stamos in public, though they never got physical.

“Mossimo never believed it was just acting. He thought John’s charm didn’t stop when the cameras did,” an insider previously revealed, adding that “he saw John as competition- not Uncle Jesse.”

Stamos is not the only one who has aired his feelings about Giannulli and his “negativity” fueled relationship with Loughlin. A few months ago, Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner on the show, also complimented her-costar’s youthful glow amid throwing subtle shade at her ex.

Sweetin noted that the mom of two looked gorgeous in her recent red carpet outings, adding “there’s nothing like dropping some dead weight to get you back out there looking cute.”

The ex-couple were married for almost three decades before they pulled the plug on their marriage. According to insiders, the admissions scandal drove a wedge into their union, and their marriage never recovered from the fall.

The Blast shared that Loughlin has reportedly started dabbling in the dating pool once again. She is focused on enjoying this new chapter of life and spending time with her daughters, Bella and Olivia.

Dennis Quaid Makes Rare Comments About His Career at 72

Published

on

Dennis Quaid at 'The Substance' photocall Cannes 2024

Dennis Quaid has been in Hollywood for more than 50 years, with some of his most notable roles being in 1982’s “The Right Stuff” and, more recently, 2024’s “The Substance.” Recently, the screen legend opened up about why he enjoys acting far more than he did in his younger years. This comes as the documentary he’s narrating, “Water Wars,” is set to premiere in September.

Quaid spoke to PEOPLE in September 2026, not only to discuss “Water Wars,” but also to offer rare comments about his legendary career and how his approach to acting has changed in the decades since he started. According to him, “I have more enthusiasm for what I do now than I did back in my 20s.”

The “Reagan” actor then explained, saying, “Because I felt like I was always trying to get somewhere back then in life.” Notably, Quaid began his career after relocating to Los Angeles from Texas in 1974. He landed several small roles before his big break in 1979’s “Breaking Away.”

Regarding his career today and how he chooses to take on roles, the Hollywood icon stated, “And now, I just do it because it’s an interest, or that would be a lot of fun to do. Or, ‘Why not?’ It’s doing things that really interest me. I’m lucky to be able to do that.”

Quaid continued his interview by discussing how his approach to selecting roles led him to narrate “Water Wars,” which delves into a legal battle over water rights in Texas. Notably, he said it was the people behind the documentary, director Mario Mattei and producers John Michael Simpson and Phillip Guitar.

He said, “Those guys told a really great story. They sent me the documentary with a scratch narration on it, and I was really impressed, especially to make a story like that really understandable to [everyone]. I got very caught up in it just watching it, so I wanted to do it.”

Quaid interviewed with Parade in 2024. At that time, he was promoting “The Long Game,” which was released to theaters in April of that year. During the conversation, he was asked how much his process for deciding which roles to take on had evolved over the years.

He responded, “Not very much, really. It’s still the same thing.” Quaid went on to explain, saying, “When I get a script, I read it from [the] point of view that I’m an audience member, a first-time audience member. And so I read the script like that, and it’s mostly about the story.”

The screen legend added, “Does it really pull my attention? And I’ll know by page 30 whether it’s gonna do that or not.”

The Actor Also Says The Upcoming Documentary Felt Personal To Him

As mentioned, Quaid hails from Texas, which added a layer of significance to the story told in ‘Water Wars.” He told PEOPLE, “It felt very familiar to me. Not just being in Texas, really more so I had a place in Montana for 30 years, right up against the National Forest.”

He discussed how his time in Montana gave him insight into the importance of water rights. Quaid shared, “Where I lived used to be part of Yellowstone Park in the 1890s. Then they opened that up to ranch land. And when they did, of course, the first thing, the most valuable thing, to acquire is water rights for it.”

The actor added, “Water is a thing you just got to have. It really reminded me that it’s so basic for survival. [Without] water, that land is worthless.”

Taking his commentary back to the documentary, he said, “It also got those elements of David and Goliath to it and Hatfields and McCoys. There’s all kinds of things that are kind of put in there that it’s almost biblical in that sense.”

In additon to “Water Wars” being released on September 4 on Prime Video, Quaid has several projects on the horizon. First, he’s starring in action thriller “The Florist,” which will arrive in movie theaters on October 2. Additionally, he has a Netflix holiday movie coming out this year, “A Dog’s Perfect Christmas,” in which he stars with Milo Ventimiglia and Jennifer Tilly.

Quaid will also appear in AMC’s upcoming NASCAR series, “The Wrecking Ball.”

Forget Freddy Krueger, Horror’s New Slasher Villain Is Coming for Your Dreams [Exclusive]

Published

on

PLATYPUS

The slasher genre has produced many a horrifying and iconic cinematic villain, from the original trio of Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Michael Myers to more recent favorites, like Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise. These classic killers are made memorable through a mix of an instantly recognizable style, gnarly methods of murder that both excite and terrify, and, to some extent, a sense of personality. At this year’s Fantastic Fest, filmmaker Joshua Gratton is about to introduce a new surreal entry into the pantheon made to, quite literally, haunt the dreams of their victims — Platypus. As part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview series ahead of the 21st iteration of the largest genre festival in the U.S., we’re thrilled to share a new image from the film that unveils the terrifying visage of the murderer with an unconventional weapon.

Platypus unfolds in a small town at the mercy of a masked killer that only a young girl named Kimberly (Kayla Lundstram) seems to know about. Despite her best efforts to warn her friends, though, nobody believes her claims. All the while, her dreams grow increasingly vivid and violent as the threat grows closer to home. With nobody on her side, it’s up to Kimberly to play detective, following clues to Platypus’ whereabouts to stop the carnage before his trail of bodies leads right to her doorstep. A love letter to the slasher’s history, the entire surreal ride is shot on Super 8 film and intentionally made to feel low-budget and DIY, with fake blood, bizarre dialogue and cuts, and plenty of nudity that goes beyond the tropes into something far more delightfully queer.

Our exclusive image captures that throwback aesthetic of an old slasher airing late at night on cable as it reveals Platypus in all of his fuzzy glory. There’s an air to the killer that blurs the line between sinister and goofy, with his stained work gloves, gritty jacket, and blood-speckled mask contrasted by his borderline silly expression and the seriousness with which he wields a confusing weapon — a seashell. The best horror serial murderers of this variety get creative with how they slay their victims, and it looks like he’ll be no exception with how he improvises using the objects at his disposal. The still serves as a promise that, despite its simple premise and familiar appearance, Gratton’s latest will be something humorous, horrifying, and deeply strange that viewers have never seen before.

Camp Crystal Lake · Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhees

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

  • He moves in straight lines toward his target. He doesn’t strategise, doesn’t adapt, doesn’t outsmart. He simply pursues.
  • Your ability to keep moving, use the environment, and resist the panic that freezes most victims gives you a genuine edge.
  • The Crystal Lake survivors were always the ones who stopped running in circles and started thinking about terrain, water, and distance.
  • You think like that. Which means Jason, for all his indestructibility, would face someone who simply refused to be where he expected.

Haddonfield, Illinois · Halloween

Michael Myers

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

  • But you are paying attention. You notice the shape in the window, the car parked slightly wrong, the silence where there should be sound.
  • Michael’s power lies in the invisibility of ordinary suburbia — the fact that nothing ever looks wrong until it already is.
  • Your spatial awareness and instinct to map every room, every exit, and every shadow before you need them is precisely the quality Laurie Strode had.
  • You are not a victim waiting to happen. You are someone who already suspects something is wrong — and acts on it.

Elm Street · A Nightmare on Elm Street

Freddy Krueger

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

  • You are harder to destabilise than most. You’ve faced uncomfortable truths about yourself and you haven’t looked away.
  • The survivors on Elm Street were always the ones who understood what was happening and chose to face it rather than flee from it.
  • Freddy’s greatest weakness is that his power evaporates in the presence of someone who refuses to give him the fear he feeds on.
  • Your psychological resilience — the ability to stay grounded when reality itself becomes unreliable — is exactly the quality that keeps you alive here.

Derry, Maine · It

Pennywise

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

  • The Losers Club didn’t survive because they were braver than everyone else. They survived because they faced their fears together, and faced them honestly.
  • You ask the questions others avoid. You look directly at what frightens you rather than turning away.
  • That directness — the refusal to let fear fester in the dark — is Pennywise’s worst nightmare.
  • It chose the wrong target when it chose you. You are exactly the kind of person whose fear tastes like nothing at all.

Chicago · Child’s Play

Chucky

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.

  • You don’t have that gap. You take threats seriously regardless of how they present — and you never make the mistake of underestimating something because of its size or appearance.
  • Chucky relies on surprise, on the delay between recognition and response. You close that delay faster than almost anyone.
  • Your instinct to treat every unfamiliar thing with appropriate scepticism — rather than dismissing it because it seems absurd — is the exact quality that keeps you breathing.
  • Against Chucky, not laughing is already winning. You are very good at not laughing.

Who Else Will Be Part of the Nightmare in ‘Platypus’?

PLATYPUS

Gratton both wrote and directed Platypus in just their second feature effort after bursting onto the scene with Cuties in 2020. Yet another queer slasher that leans into the absurd and comedic with an 80s horror vibe, that film followed an insecure boy who witnesses gay teenagers slowly picked off one by one during their senior year. Instead of being entirely afraid, though, he begins to doubt his own self-worth and wonders why the killer is only targeting the cute boys and leaving him alone. For the director’s latest, Lundstram is also making her feature debut as Kimberly, joined by Giselle Morison, Micah Greentree, Annie Alfer, and Tristan C. Pina.

Platypus makes its world premiere at Fantastic Fest, which runs from September 17 through 24 at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin, Texas. Stay tuned here at Collider for more from our exclusive preview series throughout the month as we count down to the event. More information on each title can be found at the official Fantastic Fest film guide.

Healing Era! Jaliyah Opens Up About Healing & Her Dating Life After Her Split From FunnyMike (VIDEOS)

It’s been almost three months since Funny Mike and Jaliyah Anderson called it quits after being together for eight years. Their split came with several allegations, including Jaliyah accusing Funny Mike of physically assaulting her and having two children on the way.

Since then, the two have continued co-parenting their three children while adjusting to their new lives apart. Now, Jaliyah is opening up about life after their split, finding her independence, and what could be next for her.

Jaliyah Shares An Update On Healing, Dating & Life After Her Split From FunnyMike

Over the weekend, Jaliyah took to YouTube with a video titled “LIFE UPDATE Q/A (STILL SINGLE?),” giving supporters a personal update. One of the first questions Jaliyah answered was about how she has been doing mentally following everything that has recently happened. Jaliyah shared that she initially struggled emotionally, but as weeks passed, she began grieving the relationship and the future she imagined with FunnyMike.

“Y’all ever had that saying of people grieving somebody that’s not dead? Like, I grieve that person and that situation. ’Cause, like, you know how you just have a whole future planned with this person, and you’ve had kids with this person? It’s just like now you know it’s not gonna be there anymore,” she said.

As the Q&A continued, Jaliyah also revealed what she has learned about herself since becoming a single woman. She admitted she’s stronger than she thought, but became dependent on being cared for throughout the relationship.

Additionally, Jaliyah addressed comments telling her she should’ve cheated back on FunnyMike following everything that happened throughout their relationship. However, she expressed that getting even would go against her morals and could leave her regretting her actions later.

“Nobody’s actions can make me go against my morals and standards as a woman. Like, and I feel like God sit high and look low. He know my heart, and every dog has their day. As a woman, you have to sit on your hands, because I know at the end of the day, when I leave, I know the type of woman that I was to you, and I know what you gonna regret once I go that way,” she added.

When it comes to moving on, Jaliyah also opened up about whether she’s interested in dating again following her split from FunnyMike. She said she was initially open to dating but realized she wasn’t ready after ghosting people who asked her out.

For now, Jaliyah says she’s open to dating in the future but isn’t focused on it.

FunnyMike Shuts Down “Hurt” Claims After Reacting To Jaliyah Singing His Song

Since their breakup, Jaliyah and FunnyMike have both been having their fun. On June 24, Jaliyah was outside having a good time with her crew when her ex, FunnyMike’s track ‘Overly Going’ came on. That didn’t stop her fun, though, as she sang and danced along to the track. The clip quickly made its rounds on social media.

It eventually made its way to FunnyMike, who reacted to the clip while on stream and tried to get a closer look.

Wait, is that who I think that is singing the lyrics?” he said.

FunnyMike also reacted to comments under The Shade Room Teens’ post, including “He met his match” and “I love when the rabbit has the gun.” He made it clear that he doesn’t believe he’s hurt over the situation and wants both of them to move forward.

“I left the relationship first. Way before she posted, I been left,” he said. “Can y’all just let us move on in peace? I still got love for her. Let us move… It be the women, ‘He hurt, he hurt, he hurt.’ B***h, I left first. Leave me alone. Leave her alone. Let her live her life. Let me live my life.”

Brand New Day Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Movie Ever

Brand New Day Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Movie Ever

Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to rewrite the box office record books.

The latest Marvel and Sony blockbuster starring Tom Holland has now climbed to approximately $2.33 billion worldwide, pushing past Avatar: The Way of Water to become the third highest-grossing movie of all time at the global box office.

The film now trails only Avengers: Endgame and James Cameron’s original Avatar on the worldwide charts.

It is another staggering milestone for Brand New Day, which has been breaking records since arriving in theaters on July 31.

The film opened to more than $360 million domestically, the biggest domestic opening weekend ever, and quickly became the second-fastest movie in history to cross $1 billion worldwide. It later became just the eighth movie ever to reach $2 billion globally.

Its success hasn’t slowed much either. Brand New Day remained No. 1 at the domestic box office for a fifth consecutive weekend, adding another $22 million and bringing its North American total to roughly $892 million.

That puts another historic record within reach.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens currently holds the record as the highest-grossing movie in domestic box office history with approximately $936.7 million. Brand New Day is now less than $50 million away from potentially taking the crown.

Worldwide, the mountain is considerably larger.

Avengers: Endgame sits at roughly $2.8 billion, while Avatar remains the worldwide box office champion with approximately $2.9 billion.

Whether Brand New Day has enough momentum left to challenge those films remains to be seen, but reaching the No. 3 position already puts the latest Spider-Man adventure in exceptionally rare territory.

With nearly $900 million domestically and more than $2.3 billion worldwide, Tom Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man movie has officially become one of the biggest theatrical releases in movie history.
