Sharon Stone Previously Opened Up About Body Struggles In Her 40s

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia finally addressed claims that ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan’s new wife, Samantha Leonard, is her doppelgänger.

“No one [he dated] before me ever looked like me,” LaPaglia, 26, said during a Tuesday, February 17, appearance on the “ImPaulsive” podcast. “Let’s just be real.”

LaPaglia initially alleged that Bryan’s “whole entire literal wedding” was a “dig” at her and their past split but was quick to clarify.

“I’m not saying married, but, like, dating her was to get at me,” she said.

LaPaglia and Bryan, 29, were in a yearlong romance that came to an end in October 2024. Following their split, LaPaglia publicly slammed her ex, claiming that she was in an abusive relationship. The influencer alleged that Bryan offered her $12 million to sign an NDA which would have barred her from discussing anything that went down in her relationship, but she refused. (Us Weekly reached out to Bryan’s team multiple times for comment, but he has never publicly addressed her claims.)

Following their split, Bryan moved on with Leonard. While the origins of their romance were kept on the low-key side, the singer announced in December 2025 that he and Leonard had tied the knot in Spain. (Bryan was previously married to Rose Madden from July 2020 to July 2021.)

“Tougher than the rest,” Bryan captioned an Instagram post at the time, showing off his wedding photos.

Leonard showed off more wedding photos on Saturday, February 14, when celebrating Valentine’s Day.

“Love you more every single day,” she captioned a photo of her and Bryan.

LaPaglia has stayed relatively quiet about Bryan’s relationship with Leonard until now, even though the internet has dubbed his new wife her look-alike for several months. LaPaglia did, however, share a cryptic social media post after Bryan and Leonard’s wedding, which people took as a reaction to their nuptials.

“Check mate: I couldn’t lose,” LaPaglia captioned a TikTok video last month, as she sang along to Taylor Swift’s “Mastermind” in the clip.

LaPaglia was previously asked about the similarities between her and Leonard during an October 2025 episode of her “PlanBri Uncut” podcast.

“Next question is [one] that I got a million times. ‘What do you think about Zach’s girlfriend looking exactly like you?’” she said. “I think that is narcissism textbook 101, like, that’s what narcissists do. They just go and find another version of you to date.”

LaPaglia added, “People are like, ‘Are you creeped out? Are you mad? Are you flattered?’ I am flattered, to be honest. I dyed my hair so that people [would] stop sending me every single picture that he posts of her, and I blocked him. I don’t wanna see this [and] I don’t want to indulge in anything that he does.”

The Barstool Sports personality went on to say the entire thing is “crazy,” clarifying that the only time she sees anything Bryan does is when articles come up on her social media pages.

“I’m just so glad he’s not near me — just near my clone,” she added. “Sorry, I have to say it. Your new girl is my clone.”

It turns out the scrapped Ben Solo movie didn’t quietly fade away — it hit a wall. And according to Steven Soderbergh, that wall made zero sense. Speaking to BKmag, the filmmaker opened up about Disney’s decision not to move forward with The Hunt for Ben Solo, a project he had been developing alongside Adam Driver and writer Rebecca Blunt for two and a half years.

When asked whether it surprised him that the film appeared to be essentially greenlit before being killed for “story reasons,” Soderbergh didn’t sugarcoat it.

“No, it was no surprise that she was frustrated. We were all frustrated,” he said, referring to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “You know, that was two and a half years of free work for me and Adam and Rebecca Blunt.”

Soderbergh also revealed that before Driver spoke publicly about the project’s demise, they agreed to keep things factual.

“When Adam and I discussed him talking about it publicly, I said, ‘Look, do not editorialize or speculate about the why. Just say what happened, because all we know is what happened. The stated reason was ‘We don’t think Ben Solo could be alive.’ And that was all we were told. And so there’s nothing to do about it, you know, except move on.”

Why Did ‘The Hunt for Ben Solo’ Not Get Made?

It never gets any easier to read, does it? That single explanation — that Disney leadership didn’t buy the idea that Ben Solo survived The Rise of Skywalker — was enough to shut the whole thing down before budget conversations even began. And when you consider some of the other stuff they’ve made…

“I thought the conversation was strictly going to be a practical one—where they go, what is this going to cost? And I had a really good answer for that. But it never even got to that point. It’s insane. We’re all very disappointed.”

Insane is obviously a strong word, but it’s hard not to read the frustration between the lines. Soderbergh admitted he had already “made the movie in [his] head,” and felt bad that audiences would never get to see it. For a franchise that has revived characters through clones, Force ghosts, and Palpatine-level resurrections, the idea that survival was a deal-breaker has definitely raised eyebrows.

For now, The Hunt for Ben Solo remains one of those great “what if” Star Wars stories.

Young and the Restless early weekly spoilers for February 23rd through the 27th reveal Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) loses a battle and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is bent on revenge.

As we always do on early edition day, we start with what’s coming the rest of this week, then we dive into what is ahead next week.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Reveals Her Plan

So, on Wednesday, February 18th, we have Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) running into Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as she’s plotting revenge on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) both. Victoria has decided to send her kids away to boarding school to get them away from Billy.

Nate asks if that’s good for the kids or just bad for Billy, and Victoria confesses she hasn’t really talked to the kids about it. She’s just upset and maybe she’s not thinking entirely clearly. She says that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is hoping to force Cane to work with the family, and Victoria is busy plotting to go after Phyllis.

Y&R Spoilers: Billy Accuses Jack

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) shows up over at the Chancellor office just as Billy is making himself at home. He’s annoyed that Jack is judging him when he’s asking if getting Chancellor cost him Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who Jack called the love of Billy’s life. He asks if Jack’s there on Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) behalf and, of course, Jack denies it.

Then he starts asking about Billy’s kids and he brushes that off. Billy tells Jack he tried to get over Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Victor doing him dirty, and now Sally walked out on him, but Billy’s hoping he can still win her back. Jack says that he and Sally are on the same page and they’re both worried about him. Billy asks if Jack is just pissed that he took down Victor.

Nikki Threatens Billy on Y&R

Nikki walks in and says that Billy is happily gloating about Victor. She expected that. Then Nikki sees that Billy has had her things boxed up. Nikki’s hoping Billy won’t bankrupt Chancellor before they get him out of there. He tells Nikki he feels sorry for her, but Victor got what was coming to him.

Nikki says to enjoy it while it lasts, and Billy leaves her to have a minute alone in her former office as he heads out to Society for lunch. Jack feels bad for Nikki, and she says she’s going to take Billy down and the Newmans are going to get everything back. Nikki warns that Jack should let Billy know if he gets in the way of the family, he’s going to face consequences.

Sally Spectra and Audra Charles Team Up as Co-CEOs of Spectra Charles Media

Sally tells Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) there’s been a big change and shows her a press release that names Sally and Audra as co-CEOs. And Sally says she told Jill, who is absolutely furious at what Billy has done. Jill agreed to her hiring Audra. Sally tells her that Newman Media is now part of Abbottcom and that was basically a parting gift that Billy foisted on her.

Audra is thrilled at being confirmed as part of the leadership team. Then Sally says that she left Billy because of his fixation on Chancellor. Audra asks if Sally’s going to forgive Billy later, but she insists, “No, they’re done.” Sally and Audra decide to rename the company Spectra Charles Media and they’re toasting to that.

Billy shows up and Audra says he made a huge mistake when he screwed up and lost Sally. Billy says that he’s really hoping that Sally will change her mind, but she tells Billy that he wanted Chancellor more than he wanted her.

And that’s it. The ladies run into Jack on their way out and he says he’s sorry for all this that’s gone on. Then he goes inside and Billy tells Jack that Victoria went too far and has slapped back at him in the worst way.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Newman’s Dangerous Drug Lie and Struggles with Addiction

As he gets off of a phone call, Nick tries to hide the baggie of illegal pain pills from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). She demands to know what he’s hiding and Nick lies, saying that he was just checking his bottle of pain pills and he is out. Sharon’s surprised that he’s out of pills since he just got them. She suggests aromatherapy.

Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) shows up and says that Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) is considering his request to come back to Genoa City. But for now, Sienna is staying in Los Angeles and Sharon tells Noah that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is at the house. She’s been released into her custody. Noah’s excited about seeing her. Nick, meanwhile, is wiggling around in pain on Young and the Restless.

Noah says Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) told him that she’s absolutely furious about what Phyllis did. Nick starts raging about Phyllis getting what she deserves. Noah is trying to calm Nick down and he’s not having it. Noah wants Nick to see the doctor about this pain because it’s been going on for longer than they expected.

Nick tries to say that his pills are at home and the last one wore off. So, lots of lies around the drugs. That’s not a good sign. He tells Noah that he left the hospital early because of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Nick says the pain was worth it.

Sharon and Noah really want him to go see the doctor, and Sharon tells Nick, “Go home and take another pain pill.” Outside of Crimson Lights, Nick is looking at his empty pill bottle and sees there are no refills. He’s struggling not to turn to the fentanyl, but I know that he’s going to.

Y&R Spoilers: Cane Seeks Vengeance Against Phyllis Summers

On Thursday, February 19th, Cane is on a mission for vengeance. Victor still has Cane believing Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is really in danger and has him thinking that if he doesn’t get the Newman assets back from Phyllis, she’s going to be hurt. Cane is desperate. He goes to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) to ask him to work with him against Phyllis.

Sally is going to reveal to Billy that she has talked to Jill. He’s going to hate that. Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) plays “Let’s Make a Deal” with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). She want to swap secret for secret because she’s desperate to find out what Audra did.

Victoria writes Billy a reality check. I’m sure this is when Victoria tells them that their kids, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Newman (Sienna Mercuri), have gone away to boarding school. But Victoria didn’t check with the kids or with Billy first, and I know he’s going to be mad.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: February Sweeps Drama Intensifies

On Friday, February 20th, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) wants boundaries in place. She didn’t want Mariah around Dominic Chancellor (Ethan Ray Clark), but then Abby and Dom are out and they see Mariah and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) at the cafe. Dominic looks a little freaked out. I wonder if Abby is going to pursue some sort of legal option.

It would be wild if she went back to the court and said, “Please take her back into custody. She can’t be on the loose.” The fact that she has an ankle monitor that lets her go anywhere in town, specifically where she can access the kid she kidnapped, is absolute insanity. Nate and Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) are worried because they still can’t reach Lily.

Nikki Terrified of Victor’s Next Move

Nikki is worried that Victor’s next move might be something she just can’t live with. The week of February 23rd through the 27th is the last few days of sweeps, which wraps on Wednesday, February 25th. Claire is still bent on ruining Audra.

Once Claire’s back from LA, I’m thinking that she will be furious to find out Audra scored a big win and is now co-CEO with Sally. That’ll probably have Claire doubling down on ruining her life.

Billy is going to fight hard to keep Chancellor since it cost him Sally and access to his kids. I think it’s going to be hard to find some leverage to pry it out of Billy’s hands. Unfortunately, all he has left in his life really is Phyllis, which is not good for anybody.

Cane continues his quest for revenge. He’s targeting Phyllis for double-crossing him. But once Cane finds out Victor has been lying this whole time, I expect Cane to turn that around on Victor and maybe also on Lily for playing along.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Loses Everyone

Phyllis pays a heavy price for what she’s done. Nikki questions Victor, who’s furious for her to act like she has the right to question him—which she does, but he never wants to answer. When he doesn’t, that’s when you know he’s lying.

Lily’s family really worries about where she is, and Mariah needs help. Sharon’s desperate to protect her, and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is taking a step back.

Major Character Returns: Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons Return to Genoa City

Also coming soon, we’ve got Matt Clark coming back. Lily coming back. Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is coming back. Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is coming back; I suspect she is going to be in Mariah’s storyline.

The biggest news, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) is back and Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) is back. They are going to be on for a multi-episode story arc kicking off in April.

When I was younger and still looking to make reckless decisions, there was a friend in my group who we referred to as the Hurricane. The reason we called him that was because when he had a few too many drinks, he’d start destroying things for fun. He was the kind of person who would bodyslam himself through a beer pong table or run full speed into a display at the convenience store while we were looking for a quick, late-night snack. We stopped hanging out with him because the collateral damage left in his wake was a blast radius we no longer felt like cleaning up.

Watching 2016’s Colossal brought back memories of those days because its protagonist is similarly destructive while drinking, though in ways that don’t mirror real life. Here, our hero Gloria (Anne Hathaway) finds her body controlling a Godzilla-like creature located in Seoul, South Korea whenever she gets wasted in her hometown of Mainhead, New Hampshire.

Splitting its narrative between both locations, Colossal tells a story about a woman coming to terms with her self-destructive behavior because she has to. Her actions have very real consequences on the other side of the world. Whenever she gets lost in the sauce, a single step in the wrong direction could destroy buildings and kill hundreds of people.

Unemployed Writer Turned Godzilla

When Colossal introduces us to Gloria, she’s an absolute wreck. An unemployed writer who’s hitting the bottle a little too hard, Gloria is kicked out of her New York City apartment by her boyfriend Tim (Dan Stevens), who’s had enough of her late-night blackouts and violent hangovers. With no job prospects or anywhere to live, Gloria moves back to her now-empty family home in Mainhead, New Hampshire to get her head on straight and figure out her next steps. There, she meets up with Oscar (Jason Sudeikis), a childhood friend she hadn’t talked to in years.

Taking Oscar up on his offer to help out at the bar his late father left him, Gloria finally has work, but more often than not spends her time on the clock getting drunk with Oscar and his other employees, Joel (Austin Stowell) and Garth (Tim Blake Nelson). Closing up shop and stumbling home around the same time the school day starts for the neighborhood children, Gloria cuts through the local playground at 8:05 am, thinking nothing of it until she watches the news later that day.

When Gloria learns about the giant, Godzilla-like creature attacking Seoul, South Korea, she’s at first panicked by the global implications. Those worries shift when she notices the correlation between her presence on the playground and the monster’s appearance. Though it makes no logical sense, Gloria surmises that her body is remotely controlling the monster, and she has the power to destroy entire city blocks just by waving her arms around. This remote relationship with the creature is confirmed when the monster is attacked by the military, as Gloria also feels pain when helicopters and rockets crash into it.

After explaining this phenomenon to her friends, Oscar learns that the same thing happens to him when he enters the playground at the same time. In Oscar’s case, however, he turns into a giant robot. Gloria is horrified by the amount of damage she is capable of causing and vows to quit drinking so nobody else gets hurt. Oscar, on the other hand, gets a sick thrill out of the power that he possesses and turns it into a deadly game whenever he lets the booze take control.

An Anthropromorphized Allegory

While it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what’s happening in Colossal, it’s still a clever way to look at how Gloria’s self-destructive behavior affects more than just herself. Every time she steps onto the playground, hundreds of people are displaced or killed by the monster she controls. Just like for any person in your life who may not be able to control themselves when they party a little too hard, there are unintended, potentially wide-reaching consequences tied directly to their actions that could be avoided entirely if they just stopped doing what they’re doing.

In Gloria’s case, her drinking compromises her relationship with Tim, and her subsequent spiral causes a catastrophic amount of damage far away from where she’s located physically. While all she has to do is sleep off a hangover after stumbling home, other people have to deal with her mess, which rings true for anybody who’s ever been friends with this kind of person.

What separates Oscar from Gloria is that he’s totally fine with the way things are shaking out. Gloria feels remorse and vows to improve her situation by attempting to go sober. Oscar, on the other hand, likes the power he wields over the citizens of Seoul and loves to watch the world burn because he wants everybody to be as miserable as he is. These two personalities, constantly at odds with each other, make for a compelling drama on their own. Colossal takes this tension and turns it into a literal battle between a giant reptile and a robot, using Seoul as their battleground while the whole world watches on TV.

Colossal starts off feeling like two different movies, and in many ways it is. If you remove the monsters, you get a dramedy about a woman moving back to her hometown to face her personal demons. If you remove Gloria, you get a lizard fighting a robot with zero context.

Together, they make for an interesting allegory about substance abuse and facing yourself after your bad habits destroy your life. To experience both of these stories converging in a single place, all you need to do is stream Colossal on Netflix.

Stargate SG-1 is back on Netflix, and there’s never been a better time to binge one of the best sci-fi series of all time. It’s always a good time to experience the adventures of Stargate Command (SGC), which has aged like a fine wine since the series first debuted in 1997.

Compared to Star Wars and Star Trek, the series lacked decades of lore and had to build a fanbase while also crafting its own sci-fi universe. It quickly proved itself with a colorful cast of characters, embracing the light-hearted adventure side of sci-fi, and slowly unfolding a wide universe so rich with mystery and excitement that three series and three decades later, it feels like there’s more to explore. 

The SGC Team Is Among Sci-Fi’s Best

When Roland Emmerich’s Stargate film hit theaters in 1994, no one could have imagined it would lay the foundation for a 30-year sci-fi franchise, and no one could have guessed that Richard Dean Anderson would eclipse his fame as MacGyver, playing Colonel Jack O’Neill, the SGC field leader. The mega-sized pilot episode “Children of the Gods” was a Showtime original movie, and no one cared who Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, or Christopher Judge were at the time; it was MacGyver in Space that drew in those first 4 million viewers. Only a few episodes later, fans realized that Stargate SG-1 was going to be an ensemble series, and every single member of the team had something to add. 

Michael Shanks takes over the role of Dr. Daniel Jackson, played by James Spader in the movie, and he knocks it out of the park, going from the new guy, woefully unprepared for being part of a military unit, to unlocking the secrets of the universe. Amanda Tapping’s Samantha Carter is both an astrophysicist and an accomplished pilot. As Stargate SG-1 goes on, she gets to demonstrate both sides of her diverse skillset and hasn’t met a piece of technology or scientific theory she can’t babble about, but if she’s not your favorite character during Season 1, don’t worry, she will be later. 

Rounding out the main team is Christopher Judge, now the voice of Kratos in Sony’s God of War, as Teal’c, the alien member of the team, he’s a Jaffa, a host of a Goa’uld parasite, on a mission to save his people. It’s disingenuous to say he’s the “Worf” of SGC, but that’s how he starts. As with the rest of the cast, it’s not where he ends up. Everyone gets to grow and develop over the course of 10 seasons, where the only constant is the Stargate itself, bringing them to new worlds, new adventures, and new cultures. 

Stargate Remembers Sci-Fi Is Fun

A large part of Stargate SG-1’s initial charm is that after the movie-level pilot, the budget was cut to the point that every alien world looks a lot like Vancouver. A few episodes in, and you won’t care about the production budget because the aliens of the Stargate universe are allowed to be truly alien, and the adventure of the week usually results in another piece of the larger cosmic puzzle coming into focus.

For example, the Asgardians, who, as the name implies, were the Norse gods, as the Goa’uld were the Egyptians, also bear a striking resemblance to the alien “Greys.” There’s a lot of “Forehead aliens” to be found, but Stargate isn’t afraid to get weird. 

Throughout it all, even as the war against the Goa’uld heats up and the robotic Replicators arrive to torment SGC, Stargate SG-1 doesn’t lose its sense of humor. Different episodes include Teal’c knocking out a man with an avocado, O’Neil playing golf through a Stargate, and Carter getting way into space racing, and that’s not including the side characters you’ll love to hate. Star Trek Voyager’s Robert Picardo brings to life Richard Woolsey, the bureaucrat from hell, and Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Ronny Cox (he played Captain Jellico in “Chain of Command”) is Senator Kinsey, the man you’ll hate more than a guy named Baal. 

Stargate SG-1 has never received the respect it deserves, despite kicking off a franchise still going today with a new entry on the way, thanks to Amazon. Even without the two sequel series or the DVD movies, the series is one of the best sci-fi shows on Netflix. If you’ve been longing for the days of fun sci-fi with a colorful cast of characters allowed to grow and change over time as they explore a universe filled with possibilities, it’s a must-watch.

Mimi Faust Talks About Where She Stands With Stevie J & Eve Finding Out About Them

On Tuesday, Carlos King released a new interview with Mimi Faust, and they dug into that ‘Love & Hip Hop’ history. In a teaser clip, she emphasized, as she has before, that she thought Joseline Hernandez was Stevie J’s artist. When the Puerto Rican Princess entered the picture, Mimi and Stevie had reconciled after he and Eve had allegedly ended their relationship. She said she found out the truth about Joseline Stevie when it aired “on Monday night.”

In the full interview, Mimi Faust explained how Eve found out he was cheating on her with Mimi by pulling up on them at the hotel. Moments later in the interview, about 30 minutes in, Mimi clarified another thing about her daughter. Eva is not named after Eve. She’s named after Mimi’s mother, whose middle name was Eva, Mimi told Carlos King.

Currently? She and Stevie “don’t have a relationship.” When Carlos pressed for clarity, she asked, “For what?” and said their daughter has her own phone to communicate with him. Eva Giselle is reportedly 17. To Mimi there’s nothing to discuss with Stevie. Additionally, he doesn’t contribute to her household, she said and not speaking to him is the only way she knows the keep her peace. “You stay wherever you gon’ be and I’m gonna draw the line,” Mimi said.

Joseline Hernandez Reacts To Mimi Faust’s Salary Comments (Exclusive)

Later in the interview, per the teaser clip, Mimi Faust shared that she and Joseline Hernandez were not making the same per episode. Joseline has said she was earning $50,000 each Monday night drop. In the teaser cut, Mimi agreed that she deserved to get paid more. “…If it wasn’t for me, him, there would have been no her,” and she added that she felt like a “pawn on the show.” However in the longer interview, Mimi admitted that Joseline brought the “fire and flare” to the show.

“Don’t get me wrong. Joseline was the fire, she was the flare. She brought all the antagonistic everything to the table, but it all tied together. If I wasn’t a part of that…you see what I’m saying? Mimi said. Adding, “We should have been making the same amount of money. All three of us.”

In an exclusive comment to TSR’s Jada Rice, Joseline Hernandez reacted to what Mimi Faust said about their ‘LHH’ salaries. She confirmed that she was aware she was earning way more. Additionally, Hernandez alleged that Vh1 still owes her a check from an unspecified contract. As far as her Mimi and Stevie J? Joseline suggested they missed out on a bag. Today, she’s grateful she went her own way!

“I honestly feel like if we were all smarter back then we could have did our own thing and really go after the bag. But our feelings and the wrong people around us didn’t allow us. But thank God I left and found my own way. Like ‘Joseline’s Cabaret’ and now my own streaming app @whyareyouheretv. Blessings to the both of them,” Joseline Hernandez told The Shade Room.

Mimi Says Eva Has Known “Everything” For A Long Time

In the teaser clip from Carlos King, Mimi Faust said that her 17-year-old knows “everything.” This seemingly includes the bombshell reveal of a sex tape with her ex-boyfriend Nikko on the show. Faust said she “absolutely” regrets bringing him on ‘Love & Hip Hop.’

“I 1000% regret, I regret that whole…I regret meeting Nikko. That whole situation. If there was one of those big do-over buttons…it would be him….Because with him came a lot of very bad decisions I can’t take back,” Mimi Faust said, confirming the sex tape is one regret.

Faust also said she felt manipulation was a part of the tape, but also her being naive and gullible. “It was a lot of factors to go along with that situation,” Mimi said. As for Eva, the mom said she “already knew” and that she’s known since she was about 11 or 12 when she found out. Mimi said her daughter learned about the tape from friends and other kids who had watched ‘LHHATL’ and said something to Eva about it. Her daughter never brought it up.

“She kept it to herself. She never said anything,” Faust said, saying that she kept putting off the conversation thinking it wasn’t the right time. When Mimi finally brought it up, Eva was 13 and already knew.

“That was a crazy moment…” Mimi said, adding that she should’ve known the show was big enough that Eva would find out eventually.

Mimi Confirms Eva & Bonnie Bella Have A Relationship, Applauds Joseline Hernandez’s Growth

About 43 minutes in, Mimi Faust said her and Joseline Hernandez don’t speak, but their daughters—sisters Eva and Bonnie Bella—do. Faust said the girls talk a lot on FaceTime.

“They definitely have a relationship and I encourage it. Call your sister…that’s her sister. But me and her mom no. She sent Eva some money for her birthday. Thank you.”

After Carlos King asked, Mimi confirmed that she’s proud of what Joseline Hernandez has accomplished based on where she came from.

“Absolutely. I mean she’s still on the same level but she’s very successful at what she does and the brand that she’s made for herself. So absolutely. Any woman who can bring themselves from where they where to a successful level. Able to take care of their family and doing what she does.”

Whenever I stumble on a dark neo-noir comedy with a promising cast, I want it to succeed. I love a hard-boiled private eye nursing two fingers of bourbon before following up on a hunch that, more often than not, uncovers a grand conspiracy unfolding in their own jurisdiction, unnoticed the entire time they’ve been living and working there. 2025’s Honey Don’t operates squarely in this lane, and the talent attached to it is undeniable.

Directed by Ethan Coen, who co-wrote the screenplay with Tricia Cooke as part of their “Lesbian B-movie trilogy,” Honey Don’t boasts a stacked cast, including Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day, Kristen Connolly, and Talia Ryder. The on-screen chemistry is the film’s biggest selling point. Witty banter dominates the dialogue, and the jokes land more often than they miss. Running gags connect the principal characters, and it’s shot in a way that any Coen brothers fan can appreciate.

The problem with Honey Don’t is that it doesn’t quite stick the landing. The abrupt ending left me wanting more time with these characters because they’re so fun to be around.

Top Notch Characterization, So So Conspiracy

Honey Don’t earns its keep through characterization because everybody brings their A game. We’re introduced to Honey O’Donahue (Margaret Qualley), a Bakersfield, California-based private detective summoned to a car wreck that appears staged. Homicide detective Marty Metakawich (Charlie Day) is surprised to see her at the scene.

Both suspect foul play, but the real red flag for Honey is that the victim, Mia Novotny (Kara Petersen), was a potential client who called the day before and then disappeared. Marty asks Honey out, and she replies that she likes girls, a recurring exchange throughout the film.

Meanwhile, megachurch cult leader Reverend Drew Devlin (Chris Evans) is seen exchanging large sums of cash with Chére (Lera Abova), his French liaison in a drug-trafficking operation who appears at the crash site in the film’s opening before the authorities arrive. Drew is almost always in bed with younger female members of his congregation and constantly interrupted by associates during sexual acts he refers to as “fellowship.”

Not yet knowing how all of this connects, Honey starts digging with the help of her police friend and romantic interest, MG Falcone (Aubrey Plaza), but she’s constantly sidetracked by her older sister, Heidi (Kristen Connolly), whose teenage daughter, Corinne (Talia Ryder), keeps getting into trouble. When Corinne goes missing, Honey begins to wonder if the advertisements with Reverend Drew’s face plastered all over town have anything to do with her disappearance, along with the suspicious circumstances surrounding Mia’s death.

Feels Like A Rushed Job, But Still A Fun One

I really wanted Honey Don’t to succeed because it has all the trappings of a rock-solid neo-noir crime comedy. The cast’s charisma practically drips off the screen, and there are so many zingers that you almost forget there’s no way this mystery is getting a neat resolution. Clocking in at 89 minutes, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a director’s cut that spends more time on each character’s motives, or if the abrupt ending was always the plan.

While Honey Don’t is part two of a “trilogy” that Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke are working on, it’s not a trilogy in the traditional continuity sense, but rather a thematic one. Its predecessor, 2024’s Drive-Away Dolls, also stars Margaret Qualley, but it’s set in a different time and place, and she’s not playing Honey O’Donahue there. In other words, this isn’t an abrupt ending that’s going to be resolved in a direct follow-up as far as I know. It had a definitive ending, and there’s closure here, just not necessarily the kind I was looking for. 

Still, Honey Don’t is a supremely fun film that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’d watch it again without hesitation because its neo-noir charm, character interplay, and comedic timing are near-perfect. I just wish it didn’t fumble so hard in the third act.
