The highly-anticipated “Tomb Raider” live-action series featuring Sophie Turner has reportedly hit a brief production setback. The actress is said to have sustained an injury while filming, resulting in the temporary pause of production.

Turner has been hard at work on the project since production began in January. While details about the injury have not been disclosed, filming is expected to resume once she has recovered and is ready to return to set.

Filming for “Tomb Raider” has been temporarily paused, Amazon MGM Studios announced in a statement sent to Entertainment Weekly. The actress had a “minor injury” during production, and filming was temporarily paused to give the actress time to heal. “We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible,” the studio noted.

A source told Page Six that Turner will most likely be back on set in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, the crew members will be continuing to do prep work needed for the production.

In January, Amazon MGM Studios posted first-look photos of Turner as Lara Croft, the adventurer and archaeologist who is the main protagonist in the video game franchise, “Tomb Raider,” which the series is based on.

The Actress Said She Has ‘Massive Shoes To Fill’

In September 2025, actress and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is the project’s showrunner, confirmed Turner will be portraying Lara Croft in the series. “I’m so excited to announce the formidable Sophie Turner as our Lara alongside this phenomenal creative team. It’s not very often you get to make a show of this scale with a character you grew up loving,” Waller-Bridge stated.

Turner expressed her excitement over taking on the role, saying, “I am giving everything I’ve got.” The “Game of Thrones” alum also gave a nod to the actresses who have portrayed Croft in the past, Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, saying she has “massive shoes to fill.”

“I can’t wait for you all to see what we have cooking,” Turner teased.

Sophie Turner Said The New Lara Croft Won’t Be A ‘Bombshell’

Since the release of the first “Tomb Raider” game in 1996, Croft has been seen as both a heroine and a bombshell, blending her sex appeal with her thirst for adventure. However, Turner said that the series won’t focus on the “sex bombshell” characteristic.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in January, the actress said the series will focus on showing Croft’s “other side.” “It’s about her and her story and what drives her, rather than what so many people also love about her, which is how hot she is in the games and the movies,” Turner explained.

“I really want to show the other side. She’s so unashamedly capable. She is not a woman who hides her strengths at all,” the actress added.

The Actress Went Through Intense Training For The Role

In January, Turner talked about the gruelling training she had to undergo in preparation for playing Croft. On “The Julia Cunningham Show,” the actress said she started training in February 2025 and has been doing it for “eight hours a day, five days a week” since.

Turner explained that she found out she had a “perpetual back problem” while conditioning her body. In addition, she shared that it was quite difficult for her to build muscle, since she wasn’t used to working out. “It has taken me months and months and months to get into good shape,” she added, jokingly saying that in her role as Sansa Stark in “Game of Thrones,” she was the one who was beaten up and not the one doing the beating.

While Turner played Marvel mutant Jean Grey in “X-Men” and had to be in shape for the role, she pointed out that she didn’t need physical training since Grey’s special ability was telekinesis. “I didn’t realize I could push my body that far. I feel like I’ve achieved something even before we’ve started shooting,” she said, referring to her role as Croft.

The ‘Tomb Raider’ Franchise

The massive success of the “Tomb Raider” games resulted in a series of movies and series. In 2001, Angelina Jolie played the role of Croft in the movie “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.” She reprised her role for the second movie, released in 2003, titled “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life.”

In 2018, the “Tomb Raider” movie was released, with Alicia Vikander taking on the role of the archaeologist. The game also spawned two animated series, “Re\Visioned: Tomb Raider” and “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.”

The “Tomb Raider” series starring Turner also features Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, and Bill Paterson. A release date has yet to be announced.

Uneven Skin Tone? This Brightening Serum Improves Discoloration

Whether it be lingering post-acne marks, sun spots or pesky discoloration, an uneven skin tone can be surprisingly difficult to treat. That’s why Fig.1 Even Tone Serum is essential for getting to the root of the problem, helping address the issue at its source instead of relying on makeup to cover it up. Designed to target discoloration from multiple angles, the lightweight formula combines four dermatologist-loved brightening ingredients to help reveal a more radiant complexion over time.

At the heart of the Even Tone Serum is 4% niacinamide, a multitasking ingredient known for improving skin tone, strengthening the skin barrier, and minimizing the appearance of pores. It works alongside 3% tranexamic acid for stubborn discoloration and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Alpha-arbutin and azelaic acid are also superstars in the formula, helping refine texture. Together, these ingredients help visibly reduce the appearance of hard-to-treat dark spots and general unevenness.

Incorporating the Even Tone Serum into your routine is seamless. After cleansing, apply one to two pumps on dry skin before moisturizer. The texture layers nicely underneath other skincare products, making it suitable for both morning and evening use.

It also absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving behind a tacky film. Makeup lovers will appreciate that it doesn’t pill underneath products, a common complaint with some brightening treatments. Instead, skin feels hydrated and comfortable after application.

Plus, the Even Tone Serum iis suitable for all skin types — yes, sensitive skin included. Whether you lean dry, oily or combination, it feels comfortable without stinging, burning or feeling heavy. Because the formula focuses on brightening ingredients rather than aggressive exfoliants, it’s also a gentler option for anyone looking to address discoloration without compromising their skin barrier.

If dark spots, post-acne marks, or an uneven complexion have been keeping your skin from looking its brightest, Fig.1 Even Tone Serum is worth trying out. Add it to your cart to experience your best skin yet!

Daphne Joy Reacts To Viral Intimate Video Of Her, Diddy & Escort

Rihanna Seemingly Addresses Baby Rumors, Talks "Little Pouch"

Daphne Joy is trending on social media platforms after a video surfaced of her, SeanDiddy’ Combs, and an alleged male escort engaging in a sexual act. Combs and the escort, believed to be Sly Diggler, have not addressed the viral tape. However, Daphne briefly broke her silence in a now-deleted statement.

RELATED: Social Media Users Are Goin’ OFF With Reactions To Alleged Footage Of What Appears To Be Diddy & Daphne Joy’s Apparent Explicit Encounter With Another Man

Daphne Joy Says She Did Not Consent To Being Filmed, Describes Pain Of Reliving Her “Abuse”

As mentioned, the intimate tape shows Joy, Diddy and Sly Digger nude and involved sexually. It’s unclear who first leaked it or why. Amid the tape going viral, DJ Vlad confirmed its validity, revealing a previous interview with Sly.

The following statement first appeared on Daphne Joy’s Instagram Stories. Sometime after being posted for at least 43 minutes, the statement was seemingly deleted. However, The Shade Room can confirm its validity. The lengthy statement opens with Daphne saying, “Everybody plays the fool sometimes, and I have been the biggest fool.” She admitted that at the time of the tape she wanted her man to “be happy and satisfied” by fulfilling all his desires, regardless if it cost her boundaries.

“I deeply loved him and I believed he loved me too…It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship…but as time passes and in my quiet moments…I realize that it was far from love,” Joy wrote.

Daphne clarified that she “never consented” to filming the now-viral intimate tape. She alleged that “the person in the video” previously blackmailed her, requesting money and threatening to leak the footage. She did not clarify whether “the person” she referred to was Diddy or the alleged male escort, Sly Diggler. Daphne Joy said the man eventually sold the tape to “a giant media outlet,” who reached out to her for comment on it. After informing them that the tape was “revenge porn and an extortion scheme,” the media company allegedly backed off. “…I know they are probably reading this and I want to say thank you for doing the right thing…even though years later..it’s come back to haunt me again,” she wrote.

Additionally, Daphne Joy admitted that it took her “all day to find the courage to rewatch [her] abuse.” She said watching the intimate video was triggering and painful, citing the “inner turmoil and pressures” she felt in such moments.

“I was not and was never in my right mind throughout the entirety of that relationship…seeing myself so lost is excruciating. I just want to hold that girl in that room and get her out of there…and tell her that wasn’t love and she didn’t need to do this for love. My heart is breaking as I type this. I wish so many things were different but I can’t take back the hands of time.”

SWIPE BELOW TO SEE HER ENTIRE STATEMENT.

Is “Jane” Daphne? The Internet Seems To Think So

This intimate tape comes nearly a year after “Jane,” an ex-girlfriend of Combs, began testimony against him on June 5, 2025. During the trial, the father of Daphne Joy’s son, social media users and bloggers have speculated that she was the anonymous witness known as “Jane.” However, neither Daphne nor her legal team has ever confirmed whether she was the witness in question.

On the stand, “Jane” described a romantic relationship that began in 2021. Ultimately, she became financially dependent on him, including the funding of her living space. She shared that their intimate encounters often involved other men and “hotel nights,” otherwise known as “freak-offs,” and heavy drug consumption, supplemented by Diddy. One encounter involved sexual acts with three men back-to-back and another encounter in 2022 allegedly lasted three and a half days, per “Jane.” At first, she said, she gave subtle clues that she didn’t want to participate before later voicing it. One text she sent Combs was read in court and said:

“I’m so much more than being left in the dark of a hotel room. My heart is breaking. I don’t want to play this role in your life anymore. It’s dark, sleazy and makes me feel disgusted with myself. It’s the only reason you have me around and why you pay for my house. I don’t want to feel obligated to perform and fear losing you…I just want to talk like adults and figure where we go from here.”

Again, Daphne Joy has never publicly identified herself as the witness “Jane” or addressed the speculations.

Daphne Joy Previously Called Diddy Her “Favorite Person”

Back in November 2022, Joy turned heads when she publicly attached herself to Diddy. Around this time, he was openly kicking it with Yung Miami, a.k.a. his Shawty Wop. Especially at his 53rd birthday bash. While he was partying with Caresha and thanking her for her love, Daphne Joy took to the internet with birthday tributes. She shared one photo of them, with Combs facing away from the camera and captioned it, “Happy Birthday to my favorite person @diddy.” Then, in another post on Instagram Stories, she shared a photo of her and Combs in the ocean with the caption, “Blessed.”

Celebrity Hairstylist Travis Ogletree’s Golden Rules for Shiny, Sun-Kissed Locks All Summer Long

Celebrity Hairstylist Travis Ogletree’s Golden Rules for Shiny, Sun-Kissed Locks All Summer Long

Bright, glossy hair is always in demand during the summer, but between heat, humidity, chlorine, and sun exposure, the season can also be one of the toughest times to maintain strong strands.

So, what does it take to achieve lustrous, hydrated, and polished hair while avoiding dryness, frizz, and oil? Luckily, celebrity hairstylist Travis Ogletree is sharing his golden rules with ET.

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

The hair expert, whose clients include Shay Mitchell, Lana Del Rey, Miranda Kerr, January Jones and more, is known for creating effortless California-inspired color that looks like it was earned after a long weekend at the beach. But according to Ogletree, maintaining that lived-in look takes more than just sunshine.

According to Ogletree, a clean scalp is the foundation of healthy hair, and the key to preventing greasy roots during the warmer months.

“Apply conditioner to your ends before you shampoo your hair. Then, make sure you count a full 100 when you massage your scalp. Most of the time, we think we’re washing our hair for a lot longer than we actually are. If you’re not getting that sudsing ingredient in the shampoo to work, you’re not removing excess oils.”

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

To stretch your wash day a little longer as temperatures rise, he suggests going in for a second round.

“To take it up a notch, do a double cleanse or use a detox shampoo like the K18 Peptide Prep Detox Shampoo.”

Once you’ve eliminated any buildup, it’s equally important to replenish moisture, especially if you’re spending time in the pool or ocean.

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

“People want to go brighter for the summer, but are also swimming more, which can lead to extra dryness. You can combat that by using the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask because it’s made for all hair types, including fine hair. Put it on at least once a week while you’re showering or on freshly washed hair. You can even leave it on and do a chic look with a Sophie Buhai or Crown Affair clip,” he says.

Whether you’re embracing your natural texture or going for a sleek blowout, the goal is to secure radiance without weighing the hair down.

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

“I love the RŌZ Milk Hair Serum, the REHAB. Hair Milk Conditioning Heat Protection Spray, or the Davines OI All In One Hair Milk mixed with the Davines OI Hair Oil and Liquid Spell Reinforcing Bodifying Fluid. They’re all lightweight but hydrating and give a little bit of hold,” Ogletree notes.

And for an even smoother finish, he recommends reaching for the ghd Duet Blowdry Hair Dryer Brush.

“It’s especially great for summertime because it recirculates airflow instead of blowing out heat, which helps create incredible shine because there’s less friction on the hair.”

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

Then comes the final touch.

“After you’re done, spray the Cécred Flexible Hold Hairspray. It smells so good and makes me want to buy a candle with the same fragrance,” he shares.

But hair isn’t the only thing that deserves a little summer love.

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

“A good SPF is essential because although we may want to be bronzed, we can also be protected. To avoid getting your scalp sunburned, apply the Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Defense Sunscreen Stick on your part line and otherwise, wear a hat,” he notes.

For those looking to carry that sun-kissed effect beyond their tresses, Ogletree also loves the Dolce Glow Self-Tanning Mist and the Victoria Beckham Beauty Colour Wash Bronze Water Tint.

The payoff? Silky locks paired with a natural-looking glow from head to toe, all without overdoing it in the sun.

Travis Ogletree/Instagram

Which means that by the time you’re sitting in Ogletree’s chair at his Treehouse Studio in Los Angeles, California this fall, your mane may need far less upkeep than you think.

“People are surprised that they just need a toner to go over their blonde, a Moroccanoil Color Calypso Gloss to get them to their desired shade, or a professional K18 treatment to rebuild the structure of the hair after it’s been compromised.”

Cillian Murphy-Led WWII Epic Crushed by New Biopic at the Box Office

Published

on

Cillian Murphy on the red carpet

Studios will begin clearing the runway for director Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey in July — the filmmaker’s contract reportedly forbids a major release from Universal in the run-up to and in the aftermath of The Odyssey‘s debut. The epic is Nolan’s most ambitious film yet, and reportedly also his most expensive. He was already operating in a league of his own as far as creative freedom in Hollywood is concerned, but his Best Picture and Best Director wins at the Oscars a couple of years ago have pushed him into uncharted territory of creative leverage at this scale. The Odyssey reportedly comes with a $250 million production budget, with hundreds of millions committed to a globe-spanning promotional campaign. It is virtually impossible for the movie to underperform at the box office come July. But Nolan was recently hit with a rather ill-timed blow.

With mere weeks to go before The Odyssey‘s release, Nolan’s Oscar-winning Oppenheimer was overtaken at the domestic box office by the most controversial blockbuster of 2026. Oppenheimer, which was based on the life and times of the nuclear physicist who created the atomic bomb during World War II, emerged as the top-grossing biopic of all time during the course of its phenomenal box office run in 2023. It grossed around $320 million domestically and $975 million worldwide, against a reported budget of $100 million. The film has now been overtaken at the domestic box office by the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael.

Like Queen, you defy every category people try to place you in. You blend the epic with the intimate, the operatic with the anthemic, the serious with the playful. You live boldly, love fiercely, and perform every aspect of your life as though the whole world is watching. Because sometimes it is. We are the champions — and so are you.

🎸 The Beatles
You have the rarest of gifts: the ability to make something that feels both deeply personal and universally human. Like The Beatles, you’re a natural connector — someone whose warmth, curiosity, and creative instincts draw people together across every divide. You believe in melody, in craftsmanship, and in the quiet power of a song that says exactly what someone needed to hear. You’ve changed the people around you just by being who you are. All you need is love — and you give it generously.

Here’s How Much ‘Michael’ Has Grossed in a Month and a Half at the Box Office

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael follows the iconic pop star’s early life and career, but stops short of addressing (or acknowledging) the many concerning allegations made against him. In its sixth weekend of release, when the market was dominated by Backrooms and Obsession, Michael moonwalked toward the $350 million milestone domestically. It has now grossed roughly $340 million stateside and nearly $850 million worldwide, against a budget that reportedly ballooned to $200 million because of production difficulties. Unlike the critically acclaimed and universally admired Oppenheimer, Michael has been more divisive. It holds a 38% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “While Jaafar Jackson’s smooth moves bring the King of Pop to uncanny life, this musical biopic mostly plays like a ‘greatest hits’ album that could’ve benefited from including liner notes to give actual insight into the icon.” However, the film’s “Verified Hot” 97% audience score should leave no room for doubt where the public stands on its portrayal of the King of Pop. A sequel is in the works. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
