Steven Spielberg’s First Sci-Fi Movie in 8 Years Gets a Stunning New Look at the Super Bowl
Steven Spielberg has achieved legendary status as a director, with his influence in the world of filmmaking spanning more than 50 years. He began his career in 1975 with what many would argue is still his most famous film, Jaws, which returned to theaters last year to celebrate its 50th anniversary. He’s also responsible for some other influential sci-fi hits over the years, including E.T., and he’s even one of the masterminds behind Harrison Ford’s legendary Indiana Jones franchise. Spielberg may be almost 80 years old, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to stop delivering great movies to the public.
It was announced back in 2024 that Spielberg was working on a new sci-fi movie, but details about the project were being held under wraps at that time. Throughout 2024 and 2025, Spielberg meticulously assembled the film’s cast, including Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, and others. It wasn’t until the second half of 2025 that Universal Pictures officially announced the film’s title, Disclosure Day, and confirmed it would be released in theaters on June 12. Plot specifics are still scarce at this time, but marketing for the film is finally picking up.
Universal Pictures officially released a new trailer for Disclosure Day during the Super Bowl, and it’s racking up thousands of views by the minute. It’s still difficult to predict exactly what Disclosure Day is about, but trailers and promotional material for the film show off a plot that leans into humans learning about alien life for the first time. There are still a few months remaining before disclosure day, but intrigue for Spielberg’s next film is as high as it’s ever been.
Who Wrote the Script for ‘Disclosure Day’?
David Koepp, Steven Spielberg’s longtime collaborative partner, wrote the script for his new sci-fi thriller, Disclosure Day. Koepp and Spielberg worked together on the first Jurassic Park movie back in the 90s, and Koepp even returned to the franchise last year to write the script for the latest franchise installment starring Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, Jurassic World: Rebirth. Spielberg was also credited as a producer on the film. Koepp also wrote the script for Pierce Brosnan’s latest spy thriller with Michael Fassbender, Black Bag, which was released in theaters at the start of 2025.
Check out the new trailer for Disclosure Day above, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the film.

George Clooney’s 1980s Knight Rider Knockoff Is So Bad It’s Good
By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

There’s nothing like the television of the 80s. It’s the only decade in which Knight Rider could have become a hit. In 1985, Universal decided to replicate the success they stumbled into with a show about a supercar and a clandestine organization by making a show about a super-secret government prototype known only by its codename: Street Hawk.
Instead of a car, the short-lived series featured a motorcycle. If you can already see the problem, congratulations, you’re smarter than an ’80s studio executive.
Knight Rider, But On A Motorcycle

Street Hawk is about a motorcycle riding vigilante by night, a cop by day, and a dirt bike racer whenever he can fit in the time, named Jesse Mach. That name sounds fake and made up, but the character’s played by Rex Smith, another name that sounds like someone had to settle after learning “Max Power” wasn’t available. Today, Rex is an accomplished Broadway performer, but back in the 80s, he was a blatant attempt by Universal to create a new David Hasselhoff.
The motorcycle, also called Street Hawk, comes across as a third-generation photocopy of Kitt without the wit of Mr. Feeny’s voice. Instead, Jesse talks to his crime-fighting partner and the creator of Street Hawk, Norman Tuttle (Murphy Brown’s Joe Regalbuto), who also assumes control when the bike activates its super-speed mode, the Hyperthrust. Going at over 300 mph in the middle of the city, what could possibly go wrong?

The military prototype also concealed a nose-mounted particle beam, amplified with machine guns and a rocket launcher after the first episode. If you’re wondering how a motorcycle can fit all of that within the chassis, you need to stop right there. Street Hawk is not the show to obsess over fine details; it’s a show to watch and wonder how did this get made?
A Missed Opportunity

Episode 2, the first to air after the TV-movie pilot, features one of Jesse’s friends coming into town on a mission to take out Street Hawk and steal the bike. Jesse’s friend is played by a young George Clooney, after he lost out on the lead role to Rex Smith. It’s the only time anyone chose Rex Smith over George Clooney.
To the shock of no one, Street Hawk was an immediate flop. Viewers were starting to reject the cheesy, 80s vehicular adventures in favor of the new wave of crime dramas led by Miami Vice. Except for India, where Street Hawk was a massive hit, leading to street-legal reproductions of the bike becoming the hot new toy for men.

As with its contemporaries, binge-watching Street Hawk can be hard, as every episode is essentially the same. Someone arrives in town, a different group is after the Street Hawk, there’s a chase on the motorcycle, Hyperthrust is activated, rinse and repeat. That formula, combined with the level of acting you’d expect from an action series in the mid-80s, makes this one of the greatest so bad it’s good shows of all time.
Street Hawk is dated in all of the best ways. The fashion, the special effects, the concept, everything. In a world where every series from the million-dollar franchises down to the latest multi-camera sitcom is focus-tested within an inch of its life, it’s refreshing to watch a series that filmed the first draft.

Kaley Cuoco Reflects on Being ‘So Depressed’ During Karl Cook Divorce
Kaley Cuoco is getting candid about the aftermath of her 2022 divorce from Karl Cook.
“It was the premiere of the second season of Flight Attendant, and I woke up that morning, I was so depressed and so sad, I couldn’t even breathe and I was just laying on the floor. I literally thought I was gonna die. I really did. I said, ‘What am I doing?’” Cuoco, 40, said during a recent interview, which is set to air Monday, February 9, on The Drew Barrymore Show, per Entertainment Weekly.
Cuoco noted that the moment was “the worst morning” of her life, despite thinking the premiere of Flight Attendant — which was cancelled in 2024 after two seasons at Max — was “supposed to to be the best night.”
“It’s so crazy those things sometimes happen at the same time,” she said. “My team came over to get me ready, and they literally got me ready on the floor. I couldn’t get up. I’m like, ‘I can’t go. I can’t go anywhere. I blew up my life. My life’s over.’ I truly thought that. Never getting married again. I’m never gonna have kids. This is it.”
Cuoco continued, “I knew, when I was laying on that floor in my house, I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is what they talk about. This is the lowest point I could get.’”
Three weeks later, Cuoco met Tom Pelphrey. The pair, who are currently engaged, are parents to daughter Matila, 2.

“I had prayed, and I feel like my soul died,” she said. I feel like my soul died, and I had also said — I think I did a magazine. It was like, ‘I’m never getting married again.’ I said it, I believed that in the moment, [and then] met Tom.”
In Cuoco’s perspective, it’s OK to change your opinion on marriage.
“Sometimes you just change your mind and that’s OK,” she said. “You probably didn’t know I was laying on the floor before my premiere ready to die, that’s true… It still chokes me up because I can remember it so clearly, but it made me a whole new person. But it takes a long time. It takes a long time to figure that out and a lot of forgiveness.”
Cuoco began dating Cook, now 35, in 2016 after a three-year marriage to tennis pro Ryan Sweeting. Cuoco and Cook tied the knot in 2018, announcing their separation three years later. The pair’s divorce was finalized in 2022. That same year, Cuoco confirmed she was dating Pelphrey, now 43.
While reflecting on his parenting with Cuoco, Pelphrey exclusively told Us Weekly last month that the Big Bang Theory actress is “great.”
“Thank god she’s there because we have a little girl, and she’s a daddy’s girl, and I have a hard time saying no to anything,” Pelphrey shared. “So we need Kaley to lay down the law.”
Pelphrey gushed that being a father and parenting with Cuoco is “literally the best part” of his life, adding, “Yeah, it rewires you. It just kind of happens. I feel everything’s different — the priorities are different.”

‘Scream 7’ Trailer Forces Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox To Confront Old Ghostfaces
The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots might be engaged in the fight of their careers in tonight’s Super Bowl, but a new trailer for Scream 7 reveals that Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and plenty of fresh meat will be in it for the fight of their lives when the movie arrives later this month. That’s right, fans. With the clock ticking down on the big game, the same can be said for the latest installment in the Kevin Williamson-created universe, with just weeks in between us and a new Scream movie. This time, the stakes are higher than ever, with Campbell returning to her role as Sidney Prescott and attempting to protect her family 30 years after the original Wes Craven-helmed feature slashed onto screens around the world.
The moment is monumental, with Williamson directing his first film in the series he created. He also holds writing credits alongside Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt, which is certainly a promising sign for fans. Williamson was the scribe behind both Scream and Scream 2 before taking a pause and returning for Scream 4, which would be the final movie of Craven’s career before his passing. After sitting out for the fifth and sixth installments, Williamson is back in all his glory with some brand-new ideas to bring to the universe, all while building on the lore and making Campbell’s final girl the center of the story.
The trailer takes things back to the beginning, with Ghostface tracking down Sidney (Campbell), where she and her family now live in a small town in Indiana. While Sidney is still in the line of fire, her daughter Tatum (Isabel May) has become their primary target. The trailer teases that, as we’ve come to expect from the slasher series, there will be plenty of brutal and bloody kills and numerous twists and turns — including the shock return of characters played by David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley.
Meet the New Faces of ‘Scream 7’
Every Scream movie introduces a slew of new characters to the fold. After all, Ghostface needs plenty of new victims on the chopping block. Completing the lineup of legacy characters are Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, who reprise their roles as Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, respectively. In addition to May, newbies include Michelle Randolph, Mark Consuelos, Joel McHale, Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor, and Jimmy Tatro.
Check out the fresh trailer for Scream 7 above and see it in cinemas on February 27.

Kid Rock Headlines Turning Point USA’s Rival Super Bowl Halftime Show
TPUSA Super Bowl Halftime Show
Kid Rock Goes Toe to Toe W/Bad Bunny In Rival Concert
Published
Turning Point USA
While Bad Bunny took one of the world’s biggest stages Sunday, rocking the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show from Levi’s Stadium, Kid Rock tried to outshine BB with his own concert for Turning Point USA.
As expected … KR brought the crowd to their feet, starting out strong with his 1999 hit “Bawitdaba.”
The crowd went absolutely insane for his trademark high energy, but it looked like the backup track did most of the heavy lifting.
Kid wrapped up his set with an emotional altar call, encouraging fans to give their lives to Jesus.
The concert was dedicated to Turning Point’s late founder, Charlie Kirk.
As you know … the NFL’s decision to platform BB was very controversial with Trump supporters who seemed to take issue with the Puerto Rican rapper’s stance against ICE’s aggressive tactics.
Seeing an opportunity, TPUSA announced an event called “The All American Halftime Show,” which was promoted as an alternative to the NFL’s programing.
At the time, the right-wing advocacy organization shared a questionnaire asking followers what genres of music they’d like to see featured. Options included, “Classic Rock,” “Country,” “Americana,” and “Anything in English.”
TPUSA later checked all those boxes when they tapped Trump supporter Kid Rock to headline with others, including country singers Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett, who were picked to join him.
With the SB being one of the biggest TV events every year and BB being the hottest artist on the planet right now, it was hard to imagine TPUSA could put up comparable ratings … and it doesn’t look like they did.
Viewership appeared to top out at under 6 million — a fraction of the 100 million viewers expected to have tuned in to the official SB Halftime Show.
But we’ll just have to wait until the numbers are in to tally the final score!

Katy Perry Tells Bad Bunny to Show the ‘American Dream’ at SB Halftime
Katy Perry is sending a message to Bad Bunny ahead of his Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performance.
“you got this @sanbenito remind the world what the real American dream looks like #SuperBowlLX,” Perry, 41, wrote via X on Sunday, February 8, alongside a football and heart emoji.
Perry’s post comes hours before Bad Bunny, 31, is set to perform while the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Days before, Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) teased that his performance will be all-inclusive — despite previously joking that English speakers had “four months” to learn Spanish.
“They don’t even have to learn Spanish,” he said during the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Press Conference on Thursday, February 5. “It’s better they learn to dance. There’s no better dance than the one that comes from the heart. That’s the only thing that they need to worry about.”
He added, “I just want people to have fun.”
During the press conference, Bad Bunny — who is from Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the United States — became emotional as he discussed his mom, Lysaurie Ocasio.
“She believed in me, and I’m not talking about my music career,” Bad Bunny said. “I’m just talking about everything. She believed in me as a person, as a human. She believed in my decisions, in my opinions, in my taste, in my choices.”
He continued, “She believed I could be a good person. I think that it was got me here, you know?”
After news broke in September 2025 that Bad Bunny would be taking the stage at the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show headliner, the decision has received mixed reactions from public figures, fans, politicians and even NFL players.
A survey released by The Athletic on Monday, February 2, stated that 41.4 percent of NFL players said they didn’t “like” Bad Bunny being chosen as the performer.
“I don’t even know who Bad Bunny is,” an anonymous offensive NFC player said. “I always think it should be an American. I think they’re trying too hard with this international stuff.”
A separate player, however, sang a different tune. “I’ve heard his music obviously, but I don’t speak Spanish so I’m not a big fan,” an NFC defensive player said. “But I do think it’s cool to have him, because America is based on diversity. America was built on immigration. So I feel like having him just furthers that American dream. I like it. I like the choice.”
Days before Sunday’s performance, Bad Bunny took home the Album of the Year award at the 2026 Grammy Awards for his Debí Tirar Más Fotos album.
“There is nothing that exists that we can’t accomplish. Thank God, thank you to the Academy, and thank you to all the people who have believed in me throughout my career,” he said in Spanish. “To all the people who worked on this album. Thank you, Mami, for giving birth to me in Puerto Rico. I love you!”
Bad Bunny also shared a message in English, before continuing in Spanish. “I want to dedicate this award to all the people who had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams,” he said.
“For all the people who have lost a loved one and even then have had to continue moving forward and continue with so much strength, this award is for you all. Thank you for so much love. I love you,” he concluded. “To all the Latinos in the entire world, and all the artists who came before and deserved to be on this stage picking up this award, thank you very much.”

Who Is Kaylee Hartung? Meet the 2026 Super Bowl Sideline Reporter
Broadcaster Kaylee Hartung is gearing up for her first-ever Super Bowl.
It was announced last month that Hartung would be making her sideline reporting debut during the 2026 Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, February 8, alongside Melissa Stark. The sportscaster is set to commentate on the game as the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks.
2026 marks the second Super Bowl in which NBC tapped two sideline reporters to assist with game coverage.
“It feels like such a cliche statement to say this is a dream come true. But it actually is,” Hartung told The New York Post ahead of the football game. “It’s wild that it’s the truth. It’s a dream that I’ve had for a while and it is surreal.”

Hartung admitted that saying she’s covering the Super Bowl is “a hard thing to say out loud” because it’s such a massive deal. She told the newspaper that she was “stocking up on sleep” ahead of her Super Bowl debut.
“I’m trying to enjoy being in the place that I pay rent right now, because those days feel few and far between,” Hartung said of her New York City apartment. “I moved into this apartment almost a year ago, right after the Super Bowl last year, and I still am missing pieces of furniture.”
Keep scrolling for everything to know about Hartung:
Who Is Kaylee Hartung?
Hartung made her debut as CBSNews.com reporter and correspondent. Eventually she got a gig as an assistant to journalist Bob Schieffer before nabbing an associate producer position on CBS’ Face the Nation.
She’s also held positions at ESPN, CNN and ABC News before being hired by Prime Video in July 2022 as their Thursday Night Football sideline reporter.
Where Is Kaylee Hartung From?
Hartung grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before attending Washington and Lee University, where she graduated in 2007.
Where Does Kaylee Hartung Work?
Along with her gig as the Prime Video Thursday Night Football sideline reporter, Hartung was also hired by the Today show as a correspondent in January 2023. She’s also been hired with NBC Sports for the NFL playoff coverage.

Will Kaylee Hartung Be at the 2026 Super Bowl?
Yes, the 2026 Super Bowl will be broadcast on NBC, making Hartung one of the evening’s sideline reporters.
Will Kaylee Hartung Be at the 2026 Olympics?
Following the 2026 Super Bowl, Hartung will head to Milan to cover the aerials and moguls freestyle skiing competition at the Winter Olympics.
“I’ve got to pack for a month on the road, two different climates and two different events,” she told The Post, noting that six suitcases and a duffle bag are what’s getting her through. “With the Olympics, it’s kind of easy. I’m working aerials and moguls events and I’ll be outside, so I’ll have to wear our NBC-issued Ralph Lauren Olympics gear.”
Hartung added, “I’ve got my puffer coat and all of my layers that are going to go underneath it — easy enough. That really does simplify everything with the weather. … For me, nothing matters more than functionality.”
