“What a wild, beautiful journey this has been. And somehow we’re just getting started,” Harper, 25, wrote via Instagram on Monday, May 11, alongside a photo of her posing with the envelope announcing the season 24 winner on the Idol set.
Harper continued, “Thank you to every single person who believed in me, prayed over me, voted, and helped carry this dream farther than I ever could’ve imagined. Y’all changed my life.”
“I’m beyond thankful for the doors the Lord has opened and for the opportunity to walk this path,” the singer added. “I’ll see y’all on the road soon… tour dates coming your way. 🤍”

Harper concluded her post with a Bible quote, which reads, “‘For I know the plans I have for you’ — this is the Lord’s declaration — ‘plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”
Host Ryan Seacrest announced Harper as the winner of the latest season of American Idol during Monday’s live finale on ABC. Jordan McCullough was named runner-up, while Keyla Richardson came in third place.
During Monday’s finale, Harper performed Alicia Keys’ “No One” in tribute to the Grammy winner, who served as a mentor for the finalists heading into the live show.
“Your voice sounds beautiful and tender and like a lullaby,” judge Luke Bryan said about her performance. “Your voice is like walking in the outdoors. It’s like walking through a beautiful garden. You’re a true artist.”
American Idol paved the way for reality competition shows to help everyday people achieve their dreams of music stardom. The series premiered in 2002 on Fox with a star-studded judging panel consisting of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. American Idol‘s freshman season introduced Kelly Clarkson, who would become the show’s first breakout star. […]
For her second performance of the night, Harper sang an original song, “Married Into This Town,” as a tribute to her hometown. The singer is a stay-at-home mom of three from Willow Springs, Missouri.

“Congratulations on songwriting, congratulations about being that authentic person,” judge Lionel Richie gushed about her original song.
Harper first wowed the judges — Bryan, Richie and Carrie Underwood — in her initial audition when she performed an original song called “String Cheese,” which she said was about her experiences with postpartum depression.

“I was sitting on my couch wallowing, and you have boys, you know. Everybody wants to touch you, and I didn’t want to be touched,” she explained the song’s inspiration, per People. “And my youngest son, I was just having a pity party, praying that the Lord would calm my spirit, and my son kept coming up to me. He said, ‘Mom, open this. Open my cheese.’ I’m like, ‘Leave me alone with the doggone cheese.’”

Harper continued, “And I finally opened his cheese, and when I did, I realized God had put me in that place, and that where I was in my house was the biggest ministry that I could ever have in being a mom. So, I gathered myself, and I got up off the couch, and I quit throwing a pity party, and I realized that was exactly what I wanted.”
“And I kind of kicked the postpartum depression in the butt, and I said, ‘I ain’t doing it,’” Harper shared.
Taylor Swift brought her whole family together for a New York City dinner date.
The “Fate of Ophelia” singer, 36, was photographed with her parents, Scott, 74, and Andrea, 68, as well as her brother, Austin, 34, in the Big Apple on Monday, May 11, per photos published by TMZ.
According to the outlet, Taylor and her family were seen entering upscale steakhouse The Eighty Six in the West Village on Monday night, perhaps for a little post-Mother’s Day get-together.
Andrea was all smiles as she held hands with her famous daughter, who wore a chic black dress with spaghetti straps and sparkly silver sequins adorning the neckline. Taylor had her hair tied back and accentuated her look with her signature red lipstick.
“He’s doing so great,” Taylor said during an October 2025 appearance on SiriusXM’s “Morning Mash Up.”
She continued, “By his own accord, he’s actually at 150 percent now. So he’s definitely got too much energy. He’s doing amazing. I’m so happy. To contextualize this, my dad had a quintuple bypass surgery over the summer.”
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have integrated into each other’s families since they started dating. Travis, now famously, expressed interest in dating Swift on a July 2023 episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. Within months, Swift reached out privately after friends and family vouched for Travis and the rest, as they […]
“The biggest part of our summer was, as a family, just taking care of him and getting him back to his old self,” Taylor said. “He had amazing medical care and help. The doctors and nurses that I’m going to be forever grateful for. It recontextualizes to you what matters, honestly. It really does. Thank you for mentioning that because it reminds me how lucky I am that he pulled through.”
“Taylor Swift’s remarkable generosity will create lasting change far beyond its financial value,” said Nancy Brown, chief executive officer of the American Heart Association, said in a December 2025 statement. “Her family’s experience with cardiovascular disease is all too common, affecting nearly half of American adults. Her commitment to supporting her father will make so many others aware of the need to take their own heart health seriously, strengthen prevention efforts, and improve controllable risk factors—ultimately helping more people live longer, healthier lives.”

“Taylor has long been associated with the symbol of heart hands. At the American Heart Association, we proudly use that same gesture to honor all who have been affected — our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, spouses and so many others,” added Brown. “My hope is that together we can raise our collective heart hands and drive meaningful change against this disease, shaping a healthier future for generations to come.”
2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Henry Cavill, who officially returns to the big screen this week with his latest action movie, In The Grey. The film co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza González, and Rosamund Pike, and is directed by tenured action director Guy Ritchie. Ritchie and Cavill first worked together 11 years ago on The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and they reunited a few years ago for the WWII action thriller, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Cavill is also working hard right now filming his long-awaited Highlanderremake, which entered production earlier this year at the helm of director Chad Stahelski (director of all four John Wick movies). Cavill has also been recruited to star in another remake that just got the update fans have been fearing for a while now.
Cavill has been tapped to lead a live-action Voltron movie that’s been in the works at Amazon for a while now, along with Paradise and This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown. Voltron wrapped filming last summer, but it didn’t take long after the exciting announcement for apprehension to set in when rumors surfaced that the film was going to forego a theatrical release and premiere straight-to-streaming on Prime Video. These rumors were confirmed yesterday evening, when Prime Video officially announced that Voltron will be a straight-to-streaming release, and it will not play in any theaters. This is especially disappointing to fans who were hoping to see another big-budget space sci-fi epic in theaters, similar in visual scope to Project Hail Mary. The live-action Voltron movie was written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

Collider Exclusive · Sci-Fi Survival Quiz Which Sci-Fi World Would You Survive? The Matrix · Mad Max · Blade Runner · Dune · Star Wars

Five universes. Five completely different ways the future went wrong — or sideways, or up in flames. Only one of them is the world your instincts were built for. Eight questions will figure out which dystopia, galaxy, or desert wasteland you’d actually make it out of alive.

01
You sense something is deeply wrong with the world around you. What do you do? The first instinct is often the truest one.

02
In a world of scarcity, what resource do you guard most fiercely? What we protect reveals what we believe survival actually requires.
03
What kind of threat keeps you up at night? Fear is useful data — if you’re honest about what you’re actually afraid of.

04
How do you deal with authority you don’t trust? Every dystopia has a power structure. Your approach to it determines everything.

05
Which environment could you actually endure long-term? Survival isn’t just tactical — it’s physical, psychological, and very much about where you are.

06
Who do you want in your corner when things fall apart? The company you keep is the clearest signal of who you actually are.

07
Where do you draw the line — if you draw one at all? Every survivor eventually faces a moment that tests what they’re actually made of.

08
What would actually make survival worth it? Staying alive is one thing. Having a reason to is another.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated You’d Survive In…
Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion
The Matrix
You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.
You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland
Mad Max
The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.
You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049
Blade Runner
You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.
You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis
Dune
Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.
Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Star Wars
The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

What Else is Streaming on Prime Video Right Now?
Paving the way for Voltron to fly to the top of Prime Video streaming charts right now is Crime 101, the modern spin on Heat starring Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo. The film had something of an underwhelming run in theaters, but it has since found redemption on the second-biggest streaming service in the world. Globally, Prime Video has also found streaming hits in Ballerina and Greenland 2: Migration. The former is a John Wick spin-off film starring Ana de Armas, and the latter is a sci-fi bomb headlined by modern action star Gerard Butler.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have rekindled their romance following their brief split.
“Cardi and Stefon are giving things another shot,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “She is giving him a second chance but is not fully committing to him.”
The insider adds that Cardi, 33, is “slowly letting” Diggs, 32, “back in.”
“They’ve been in closer contact lately. Things are no longer contentious,” the source says. “She still has love for Stefon, which makes it difficult to walk away.”
Cardi B joined her ex-boyfriend Stefon Diggs at the pre-Mother’s Day celebration hosted by his nonprofit less than four months after they broke up. Cardi, 33, and Diggs, 32, were both spotted at the Diggs Deep Foundation Wellness event on Saturday, May 9, according to sports reporter Kelsey Nicole Nelson. In images from the event, […]
Us has reached out to Cardi and Diggs’ respective spokespersons for comment.

The couple’s reconciliation comes shortly after they were spotted looking cozy at the “A Moment for Moms” celebration on Saturday, May 9, hosted by the football player’s Diggs Deep Foundation. Sports reporter Kelsey Nicole Nelson shared a photo of Diggs and Cardi greeting attendees at the event. In an additional snap, Diggs wrapped his arms around the rapper’s waist as they smiled for the camera.
Cardi and Diggs were first linked last year. They welcomed their first baby together, a son, in November 2025. (Cardi shares three children with ex-husband Offset while Diggs shares two kids from previous relationships.)
“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season,” Cardi wrote via Instagram after her baby’s arrival. “Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world, a new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
Cardi and Diggs called it quits before ahead of Super Bowl LX, when the New England Patriots faced off against the Seattle Seahawks, who ended up winning the big game. (Diggs previously played for Patriots and was released in March.)

“They are always so up and down,” a source told Us of the pair’s split at the time. “This isn’t the first time they have broken up.”
Cardi still supported Stefon at the Super Bowl. She also danced in Bad Bunny’s halftime show alongside Karol G, Young Miko and Jessica Alba.

Rumors swirled that Cardi and Diggs were back together earlier this year when the athlete was spotted at Cardi’s concert in Washington D.C. last month. Diggs could be seen dancing to Cardi’s song “Thotiana Remix,” according to a video shared by his personal trainer Clyde Simmon.
A viral clip shared by Rebecca English, the Daily Mail’s royal editor, captured an awkward moment as the king, 77, greeted a group of celebrities — including Stewart, 81, and his Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood — backstage at the the 50th anniversary celebration of The King’s Trust charity at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall on Monday, May 11.
Stewart seemingly surprised Charles with a joke about the monarch’s recent state visit to the U.S., telling him, “May I say well done in the Americas. You were superb. Absolutely superb. You put that little rat bag in his place!”
The king appeared to chuckle at Stewart’s remark and gesture towards him before moving on to speak with Wood, 78.

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for the White House, Buckingham Palace and Stewart for comment.
Monday’s gala was held to celebrate alumni, ambassadors, patrons and volunteers from the King’s Trust, which the monarch founded in 1976 to champion vulnerable young people across the U.K.
The event was presented by iconic British TV hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and featured stars such as George and Amal Clooney, Rita Ora and Lily Collins on the guest list, among others.

Prior to the 2016 election, Stewart described Trump, 79, as a personal friend and his Florida neighbor but later criticized both his first and second administrations. In June 2025, he told the Radio Times that Trump no longer resembled the man he once knew.

“I’m not a great fan of Trump. I knew him very, very well. I used to go to his house,” Stewart said at the time. “I live literally half a mile away… We’re both on the beach. I used to go to his Christmas parties. He’s always been a bit of a man’s man. I liked him for that. But he didn’t, as far as I’m concerned, treat women very well. But since he became President, he became another guy. Somebody I didn’t know.”

He went on, “I can’t [consider him a friend] any more. As long as he’s selling arms to the Israelis — and he still is. How’s that war ever gonna stop? And we [the British] should stop selling them as well.”
President Donald Trump is speaking out after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. “I think it’s a shame. I think it’s very sad,” Trump, 79, told reporters on Air Force One on Thursday, February 19. “I think it’s so bad for the royal family. It’s […]
Meanwhile, Charles and Queen Camilla held an official visit in the U.S. from April 27 to April 30 and attended a state dinner at the White House. The king became only the second member of the British royal family to address Congress on April 28 when he spoke about climate change and the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting.

The king avoided any direct mention of the crimes of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein despite his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s connection to the disgraced financier. Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly passing confidential information to Epstein during his time as a U.K. trade envoy. He has not entered a plea. (Epstein died by suicide at age 66 in August 2019 after being arrested on federal sex crimes charges.)
“Today, I talked to a trauma specialist and my coach and it’s validating to hear from professionals rather than keyboard warriors trying to tell me what to do,” Taylor, 31, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, May 11. “Also to see videos of other specialists speak on my situation just from what they can see from afar.”
The Mormon Wives star shared a series of videos from content creators supporting her following her recent court battles with ex Dakota Mortensen. (Taylor temporarily lost custody of her and Dakota’s son Ever, 2, after an alleged domestic violence incident between the pair in February. Utah police ultimately declined to press charges.)
Taylor took time to thank those who have stood by her throughout upheavals in her personal and professional lives over the last few months. (In March, ABC cancelled plans to air Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette following news of her domestic violence case while production on Mormon Wives season 5 was temporarily paused.)
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews is finding solace away from the group’s lingering cast drama. “After everything going on the last couple weeks, this was a very much-needed escape 🙏🏼,” Mikayla, 26, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 21, sharing footage of her family’s beach vacation in California. “Think I’ll stay […]
“Just another big thank you all for the astounding support,” she wrote via her Instagram Story later on Monday. “Especially authors, therapists, doctors, specialists, attorneys from all over the nation, alongside neighbors, production, family and friends.”

Taylor’s latest comments follow more drama between her and Mormon Wives costar Mikayla, 26. On May 6, Mikayla replied to a comment complaining that she wasn’t publicly supporting Taylor and Jessi Draper following their recent personal issues.
Mikayla initially replied that the comment was “interesting,” then insisted she was “fed up” when a fan asked why she was suddenly addressing the issue. Another person suggested she should focus on her marital issues with husband Jace Terry and her chronic illness.
“Gotta love a biased double standard 🙃 I’d genuinely love to see how you’d handle being in the same position we’re in,” Mikayla responded. “If you feel entitled to comment on our life, don’t be surprised when we respond. I’m not someone who switches up my opinions just to save face online.”
She expanded on her views in an Instagram Story by explaining that she’d “tried to stay as removed” as possible from Taylor’s recent legal issues with Dakota, 33.

“I have felt absolutely sick to my stomach and horrible for what everyone involved must be feeling and going through,” Mikayla wrote. “However, it is not my job to enable poor or dangerous behavior from either party, especially when children are involved.”
Mikayla insisted that she’d tried to support Taylor during past crises, but now felt that “you cannot save someone who is unwilling to participate in their own rescue.”
Taylor took issue with Mikayla’s characterization of their falling out, describing her costar as “the epitome of someone that was waiting for my downfall and not only watched it, but clearly kicking me too.”
“I rarely, if ever, cried to her for help,” Taylor wrote. “I’m fed up, but I knew she was going through her own [health] stuff, and I didn’t want to make it worse. Clearly she can’t do the same. PS: she can find her way to the door if she doesn’t want to film with me. Next.”
Mikayla later denied that she was “praying for [Taylor’s] downfall.” Taylor seemingly took aim at Mikayla once again without directly naming her in a pointed Mother’s Day post on Sunday, May 10.
“It’s Mother’s Day so I’ll say whatever I want,” Taylor wrote via Instagram. “As if it’s not already the worst time. I have [sic] STILL have ‘friends’ kicking me while I’m already down and calling it ‘setting a boundary’ and then BLAMES ME for being upset and responding. That’s called shaming and attack while I had a moment to breathe and she knew that.”
Taylor once again referenced reports that Mikayla allegedly had concerns filming with her once Hulu resumes shooting Mormon Wives season 5.
Mikayla Matthews reflected on Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortensen’s on-again, off-again relationship before the pair’s domestic violence allegations. When the hosts of the “Comments by Celebs” podcast noted that the case seemed “more concerned with The Bachelorette of it all” than Taylor, 31, did on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4, […]
“What other questions did you have in the concerns while filming with me… ’Does she get paid more than us?’ Save the ‘concern for children act,’” Taylor asked. “They all know I’m good to my children. I’ve missed more events, girls nights and opportunities to stay home with my kids more than some could ever say.”
She went on, “Happy mother to all the moms out there Of course I’m spiraling… people calling me out yet I can’t respond? Exactly what I will NOT be tolerating ever again. Thank you GOD for the people you sent to help me through this with my enemies so close.”
Taylor’s Mother’s Day posts did little to settle the feud, as Mikayla doubled down on her stance via Instagram that same day.

“Could probably write a book on everything I’ve had to say on this. Nothing I said denied that she’s experienced pain, trauma, or difficult things, there’s literally no question about that,” Matthews wrote. “Two things can be true. Someone can be hurting and still hurt people around them in the process.”
She added, “[My silence] was about no longer wanting to publicly participate in or normalize a cycle that was affecting everyone around it, especially where children and repeated violence were involved.”

Yaya Mayweather has been very open and vocal these past few months about co-parenting with rapper NBA YoungBoy. At times, things appeared rocky. Yaya has publicly apologized to the rapper for things she previously said, only to later blast him online. While entering a new space, Yaya also opened up about healing and searching for love again. She recently announced plans to enter her streamer era, looking for love on e-date stream.
Yaya Mayweather Goes Off Following Rumors About NBA YoungBoy In Paris
On Sunday (May 10), rumors shared by Align With Nae claimed that NBA YoungBoy took a woman named Jada Marie and her daughter to Disneyland Paris. The post the young woman shared said, “Happy Mother’s Day,” and many fans began speculating that the rapper might also have been in attendance.
Amid the rumors, Yaya Mayweather paused her Mother’s Day celebrations to get a few things off her chest. Seemingly calling out NBA YoungBoy, the father of her son Kentrell Jr., over the circulating rumors, she tweeted, “Once again you playing step daddy flying a groupie h** and her child to Paris, but your son hasn’t seen you since you’ve been in Paris and even months before that… mind you he’s been in Paris for months.”
She later added, “This the sh*** I have to deal with on mother’s day you sorry a*** b****.”
In more tweets, Yaya vented about not understanding how someone could be around another person’s child while not showing up for their own. She also made it clear that she did not care what day it was and would always speak up behind her child.

In a reportedly deleted tweet, she also wrote, “You haven’t even known this girl a whole year you then bought this b*tch a house in Utah & taking care of this h*e & her kid… but don’t even show up for your own child mentally, physically, emotionally, or financially. That’s the part that will never make sense to me.”
Social Media Raacts
Many gathered under The Shade Room Teens to react to Yaya Mayweather. While some were fed up with hearing her rant again, others argued that she should be given grace. Some felt like Yaya knew what she was getting into, while other commenters said she’s not wrong for how she feels.
Instagram user @jay_truth95 wrote, “Sorry I don’t feel bad for her at all.. She knew that he had several children whose lives he wasn’t active in before she decided to have one.🤷🏾♀️”

What Has NBA YoungBoy Been Up To Following The ‘MASA’ Tour And His Break From Social Media?
While NBA YoungBoy’s current whereabouts have not been publicly confirmed, he’s been pretty lowkey since the end of his ‘MASA Tour.’ Back in March, the rapper did pop out during Paris Fashion Week. YB rocked black with wife Jazlyn Mychelle after the couple welcomed their third child together.
He later deactivated his social media accounts amid ongoing issues involving the mothers of his children. Since then, he’s mainly kept supporters fed through his ‘American YoungBoy’ theater releases. The screenings gave fans a behind the scenes look at how he balanced life as a rapper, father, and performer. Some theaters even turned into full celebrations, with supporters singing and dancing to his songs word for word.

The rapper was also scheduled to headline Rolling Loud on Sunday, May 10. However, before the festival date arrived, he released a statement explaining that he needed time away from traveling and performing.
A message shared on his team’s Instagram account read, “Lil Top, To my Rolling Loud family, I won’t be making it this time. I just need some time away from traveling and performing right now. Love to everybody supporting me, I’ll forever appreciate y’all!”
Ultimately, Rolling Loud tapped rapper Ken Carson to step in as a replacement headliner.
The network initially shocked audiences in May 2025 when they pulled the plug on Lopez vs. Lopez, Night Court, Found, The Irrational and Suits LA. NBC later renewed The Hunting Party and Brilliant Minds, but those were the only freshman shows that survived — with Grosse Pointe Garden Society not surviving after being on the bubble.
NBC’s harsh cuts come after the network signed an 11-year deal with the NBA. This agreement, which is worth nearly $2.5 billion per year, meant NBC will air up to 100 regular-season games, which affected the amount of original programming headed our way in the fall.
The network added several new shows for the 2025-2026 TV season but there were still big cuts — starting with Law & Order: Organized Crime. Chris Meloni originally reprised the role of Elliot Stabler in the spinoff after exiting Law & Order: SVU.
2026 has been brutal when it comes to our favorite shows getting canceled. Netflix cut ties with Boots two months after the show premiered. Based on Greg Cope White‘s memoir, the scripted series followed Cameron (Miles Heizer) as he joined the U.S. Marine Corps alongside his best friend Ray (Liam Oh) during the 1990s, the […]
Law & Order: Organized Crime, which premiered in 2021, went through quite a few shakeups with Matt Olmstead originally taking on the role of showrunner but ultimately stepping down later that year. He was replaced by Ilene Chaiken, who remained on the show for one season before Barry O’Brien took over.

Bryan Goluboff became the showrunner for season 3 but left after three months. He was replaced by Sean Jablonski, who left due to “creative differences” and David Graziano took over for the final episodes of the season.
NBC renewed the series for a fourth season with John Shiban as showrunner. He later departed during production of the fifth season, which marked the sixth change in showrunners over the show’s five seasons. NBC confirmed in April 2026 that the series had been canceled.
Fire Country isn’t the only CBS show currently going through a surprising showrunner change. News broke in January 2026 that showrunner Tia Napolitano was leaving after multiple onscreen departures. “Tia has been instrumental in helping both build and steer Fire Country, which not only became a top series, but is also the foundation of a […]
