Supergirl Is Already Facing Box Office Kryptonite

Supergirl Is Already Facing Box Office Kryptonite

By Chris Snellgrove
| Updated

Supergirl is set to fly into theaters on June 26th. The marketing campaign is in full swing, and for good reason: this isn’t just yet another superhero movie from Warner Bros. This is the second feature film set in the DCU, the shared universe overseen by studio head James Gunn. Last year, Gunn’s Superman became the hottest film of the summer, beating out competition from Marvel’s highly anticipated rival movies, The Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Superman ultimately earned $618.7 million, a healthy box office that indicated how seemingly hungry moviegoers were for a new superhero cinematic universe.

Just how hungry are they, though? Supergirl’s own box office will determine whether Superman’s success was a fluke or whether the DCU has the legs to go the distance. Unfortunately, it looks like the Woman of Steel is already facing a nasty dose of Kryptonite ahead of her film’s premiere. Right now, the movie is tracking to earn $55 million in its opening weekend. By comparison, Superman had an opening weekend of $125 million, and Supergirl’s much lower projection may sink this film for its titular heroine before it can go up, up, and away.

Krypto, Good; Kryptonite, Bad

With the movie’s premiere less than three weeks away, it’s possible that Supergirl will earn a bit more than analysts have predicted. If the projection is accurate, though, a $55 million opening weekend would spell bad news for this upcoming film. Why is that? For one thing, the movie has a budget of $175 million. According to Deadline, once you factor in the costs of marketing, Supergirl will need to make $315 million just to break even. A low opening weekend means that it will be an uphill climb for the movie to make a profit because, with the exception of major anomalies like Obsession, box office begins plunging after the first week.

Those high marketing costs are often kryptonite for superhero movies, even ones that are very successful. For example, James Gunn’s Superman earned $618.7 million, which is a healthy amount in the golden age of superhero fatigue. But that movie reportedly needed $562.5 million to break even, meaning that the flagship film of the DCU ultimately earned much less profit than you might think (and may have lost money after the studio split profits with theaters). Superman was still a success when you consider video rentals, physical media sales, etc, but that success would have been impossible without its $125 million opening weekend. Supergirl needs far less box office to break even, but it’s also projected to earn 56 percent less than Superman when it premieres.

The Eyes Have It

If Supergirl fails at the box office, it will be the fault of Warner Bros., which made a very expensive gamble on a character that isn’t exactly a household name. However, this movie succumbing to Kryptonite doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the DCU. The upcoming TV show Lanterns, for example, is already generating buzz for this cinematic universe, and James Gunn is hard at work on Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to Superman. Should that movie succeed, it means the Man of Steel’s brand is strong, and Supergirl will fade into being a supporting character. If the Superman sequel bombs, however, it may take the DCU with it.

At any rate, none of this is fixed in stone. Supergirl may very well earn more in its opening weekend than these early projects indicate, and if it’s really good, then it may earn enough in subsequent weeks to make a major profit for the studio. If nothing else, it will be fun to see Milly Alcock’s irreverent hero headline a film, just as it will be entertaining to see Jason Momoa finally bring Lobo to the big screen. A beautiful woman who can kill with a glance, fighting alongside a genocidal maniac literally too evil for Hell? With this team-up, you know that Supergirl will be anything but boring!

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas’ Relationship Timeline

Published

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas are one of Hollywood’s most surprising couples of 2026 — and their love story took more than four decades to develop.

From a steamy 1983 magazine cover to a New Year’s Eve reconnection in Las Vegas, here’s a chronological look at how the actors’ surprising romance unfolded:

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas First Meet in 1983

Locklear and Lamas first crossed paths in 1983, posing together for the cover of Playgirl magazine. At the time, both stars were at the peak of their careers — Locklear starred on Dynasty, while Lamas appeared on Falcon Crest. The joint photo shoot famously featured Locklear in a bikini and Lamas in a Speedo.

“I cannot believe that this was 43 years ago! Side note, speedos on request only,” Lamas tweeted in December 2025, reflecting on the now-iconic shoot.

More than four decades after their first meeting, the actors reconnected over the holiday season.

The pair celebrated New Year’s Eve together in December 2025 at the Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where they were photographed alongside chef Barry Dakake at his steakhouse inside the resort.

Locklear and Lamas’ reunion came nearly one year after Locklear ended her five-year engagement to high school sweetheart Chris Heisser.

“Heather is single and she’s ready to date again,” an insider exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2025, adding that Locklear was “focusing on herself” and “doing really well.”

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas Confirm Their Romance in April 2026

In April 2026, a rep for Lamas confirmed to Us that the actor and Locklear “are seeing each other.” The duo made their public debut at the 2026 Chiller Theatre Expo, a horror and sci-fi convention, in New Jersey.

“I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met,” Lamas told Fox News Digital after attending the convention with Locklear.

When asked if he ever expected his relationship with Locklear to come full circle, the Renegade star simply replied, “The short answer is no.”

Lorenzo Lamas’ Daughter Shayne Welcomes Heather Locklear to the Family

Shayne publicly endorsed her father’s romance in May 2026 with a Mother’s Day Instagram tribute to Locklear.

“Beautiful Heather, I adore you. The generous, loving, gracious energy you have makes you a very rare woman,” Shayne wrote via Instagram. “Watching your relationship with my dad genuinely makes me believe [that] one’s true love will be one’s lasting love.”

Locklear responded warmly in the comments section, “Beautiful soul, thank you and happy Mothers Day! Your children are so wonderful which shows what a tremendous mom you are. Your dad is the same💘.”

Heather Locklear Brings Lorenzo Lamas to Her Daughter Ava’s Wedding

Us reported later in May 2026 that the couple traveled to Montecito, California,to attend the wedding of Locklear’s daughter, Ava Sambora, to Tyler Farrar at the Rosewood Miramar. (Ava is Locklear’s daughter from her marriage to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.)

“Lorenzo is a quiet guy and let her have her moment as the mother of the bride on such a big day,” an eyewitness told Us. “She was proud holding his hand and he was proud holding her hand. They were all smiles.” The source added of the couple, “They are the real deal.”

Heather Locklear Opens Up About Their Romance

Locklear broke her silence on her relationship during a June 2026 episode of the “Hollywood & Divine” podcast.

“My new guy is very … everything,” the Melrose Place alum gushed. “I’m just like, when I tell this person I love him, I’m really saying, ‘I love you, God.’ Because that’s what happened. It’s from God.”

Bethenny Frankel knows a thing or two about effortless summer style. Whether she’s strolling through New York City or heading to a beachside event, the former Real Housewives of New York star has a knack for making relaxed pieces look elevated. Her latest Miami appearance proved that sometimes all it takes is the right beach bag to pull an entire outfit together.

While attending Miami Swim Week with boyfriend Shane L. Campbell, Frankel stepped out in a cream crochet crop top and matching maxi skirt accented with a floral belt, oversized sunglasses and wedge heels. The standout accessory, however, was the woven straw tote hanging from her arm. The designer style reportedly retails for around $690, and it’s exactly the kind of beach bag fashion lovers gravitate toward every summer.

Jessica Alba has never been one to sacrifice comfort for style, which is exactly why her latest beach day look caught our attention. While plenty of celebrities treat the shoreline like a runway, Alba tends to reach for pieces that can actually keep up with a real day out, and that includes a pair of […]

What makes the bag feel so expensive is its shape. Unlike slouchy beach totes that lose their structure once you fill them, this one maintains its polished appearance while still offering plenty of room for daily essentials. The woven texture gives it that classic resort feel, while the clean lines and top handles make it versatile enough for everything from beach days to lunch dates.

The white version feels especially reminiscent of Frankel’s Swim Week accessory, though shoppers can also choose a brown-trim option for a warmer, more classic look. Pair it with a crochet set, a breezy linen dress or even a simple tank and white jeans, and it instantly creates that effortless vacation-ready vibe.

Reviewers are equally impressed. One shopper called it a “beautiful summer bag” and praised its designer-inspired look, while another said it “holds everything” and works well for travel, beach trips and everyday errands. That’s exactly what makes a bag like this such a smart summer purchase.

Frankel’s designer tote may cost nearly $700, but this $50 Amazon find captures the same polished beachy energy for a fraction of the price. And with woven bags returning every summer, it’s a purchase you’ll reach for long after vacation season ends.

6 Near-Perfect Hard Sci-Fi Shows on Apple TV, Ranked

Published

on

Noomi Rapace and James D'arcy embrace in the woods in the Constellation finale

One of the most addictive genres on television remains science fiction. From space stories to technology thrillers, the genre has provided an opening for viewers to tap into worlds far removed through stories rooted in science. Now, some sci-fi films are so brazen and fantastical that we know they can’t be real. They play by their own rules. But for hard sci-fi, they use elements grounded in facts.

When it comes to hard sci-fi, Apple TV has a handful of series that are near perfect. From journeys into space to adventures before the surface, the streamer has hosted some gripping shows that leave us never wanting the story to end. The six titles on this list will scratch the sci-fi itch while keeping you entertained with authentic scientific elements.

‘Constellation’ (2024)

Even though a show is canceled after a single season, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. It just means the right eyes weren’t on it. Such is the case for the near-perfect single season of Constellation. Created by Peter Harness, Constellation follows the events of an unidentified object that collided with the International Space Station, leading to the death of one of the five astronauts aboard and crippling most of the onboard systems and one of the Soyuz descent modules. A physics experiment called CAL, or Cold Atom Lab, designed to study quantum states where objects can exist in two places at once, was running at the time of the catastrophic event, causing the surviving astronauts and cosmonauts to swap places with their mirror-universe doubles. In one reality, it’s Jo Ericsson (Noomi Rapace) who died in the collision. In the other, it’s Paul Lancaster (William Catlett). The mind-bending sci-fi psychological thriller explores quantum superposition, parallel universes, and the simultaneous acceptance and adaptation to the new entangled reality.

Constellation is a series unlike any other. It’s not always the easiest to follow, requiring viewers to focus and not use it as background noise. In turn, the mind-bending narrative taps into an unpredictable puzzle that leaves you guessing throughout the eight episodes. A visually stunning series, Constellation has no shortage of zero-gravity sequences and spacewalks that make you feel as if you’re up in the stars. Constellation is also filled with sensational performances, namely from Rapace and Jonathan Banks as Henry and Bud Caldera, mirror-universe counterparts. Constellation uses legitimate scientific concepts, including the observer effect, to explain phenomena such as the multiverse and parallel realities. Then, add in the practical psychological horror of the trauma from long-term spaceflight, and the narrative feels authentic. Constellation traps everyday astronauts in a scientifically explainable but terrifying phenomenon.

‘Dark Matter’ (2024–Present)

Dark-Matter-feature Image via Apple TV

The multiverse conceit continues to be a messy but often-used narrative tool that provides for great entertainment. In the series Dark Matter, it serves as the central device that propels the plot. Created by Blake Crouch, the enthralling thriller follows Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton), a Chicago physicist who is abducted and thrust into the multiverse. He wakes up in alternate realities where his life choices went differently, and he must fight his way back home through a labyrinth of parallel worlds to save his true family from the most dangerous foe imaginable: himself. A deeply character-driven love story set within a high-stakes multiverse thriller, Dark Matter explores the roads not taken, challenging viewers with a core question: Are you happy in your life?

Based on Crouch’s own book, Dark Matter is precisely plotted, ensuring the magic and heart are present in the adaptation. Further, his ability to keep scientific elements within the fantastical premise keeps viewers engaged. Dark Matter uses real quantum mechanics, particularly Schrödinger’s cat and superposition, as the framework for the plot. Giving audiences something tangible lends itself to seamless storytelling that doesn’t pull the viewer out to question the implausible things. Dark Matter features remarkable performances led by Edgerton and carried through by Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, and Jimmi Simpson. Edgerton’s ability to navigate his characters, separating regular-guy Jason from ruthless Jason, carries the series to glory. Dark Matter may very well be a sci-fi show, but its human story is the reason to tune in.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

‘For All Mankind’ (2019–Present)

Imagine a world in which the United States lost the space race. It might be hard to believe, but then For All Mankind told us what that alternative history might look like. Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi, the series explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The premise begins in 1969 when the Soviet Union successfully lands the first man on the Moon, dealing a devastating blow to the United States and intensifying the Cold War. By changing a single significant historical event, For All Mankind creates a massive butterfly effect, featuring rapid technological innovation, political intrigue, and an optimistic vision of human perseverance.

For All Mankind is a brilliant “what if” drama. Across each season, the series organically leaps about a decade forward, showcasing how that inciting event reshaped reality. In turn, it forces characters to age, evolve, and adapt to new eras of technology and global politics. For All Mankind is rooted in character-driven drama, centered on human ambition, sacrifice, and the emotional toll that space exploration and grueling career choices take on the astronauts and their families. The hard science comes in as For All Mankind changes events, but not the science itself. The series, among other things, delves into real-world orbital mechanics, engineering, and physics that govern humanity’s expansion into space. A bingeable epic, For All Mankind is a brilliant alternate-history season that is so good you get more from a different perspective: Star City.

Predicting the future may yield grim outcomes, leading to further destruction to prevent imminent doom. That’s the basic premise of Foundation. Based on Isaac Asimov’s novels, the three-season series follows mathematician Hari Seldon, who invents “psychohistory,” a mathematical science capable of predicting the behavior of massive populations and charting the future of the galaxy. In turn, it predicts the inevitable fall of the Galactic Empire. To prevent a 30,000-year dark age, he leads exiles to establish “the Foundation” to preserve humanity’s knowledge and rebuild civilization. The tyrannical ruling dynasty attempts to crush the Foundation, viewing it as a threat to their absolute power. Successfully adapting Asimov’s “unadaptable” novels, Foundation is rooted in grounded, emotional narratives with rich world-building and hard science.

The century-spanning story centers on the conflict between the ruling imperial Genetic Dynasty via the clones of Emperor Cleon (Lee Pace) and the Foundation, including Gaal Dornick (Lou Llobell), a prodigy who helps develop the plan, and Salvor Hardin (Leah Harvey), the warden of Terminus, as they navigate the predicted fall. The series relies heavily on the tension between science and faith, the nature of power, and the question of whether historical events can be altered. With Asimov’s invention of psychohistory, Foundation has, well, a foundation on which to stand. Having a meticulous, predictable, mathematical science at its core, there is great freedom to build a detailed, multi-generational galactic history. It may not be instantly familiar, but it swiftly becomes accessible. With breathtaking cinematography, Foundation is an intelligent and entertaining series.

And now it’s time for some aliens! Created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, the multilingual format Invasion tells the story of an extraterrestrial threat to Earth’s existence, told through the eyes of ordinary people around the world. Rather than focusing purely on military battles, the show explores human relationships, fear, and survival during an extinction-level event. In New York, the Malik family fights to survive both the alien chaos and collapsing societal norms. Then there is Mitsuki Yamato (Shioli Kutsuna), a communications specialist for the Japanese space agency, who searches for answers regarding a lost spacecraft; Caspar Morrow (Billy Barratt), a bullied schoolboy in London on a field trip that takes a dangerous, mysterious turn; and Trevante Ward (Shamier Anderson), a U.S. Navy SEAL whose unit is ambushed in the Middle East. A tried-and-true character-driven drama that spans multiple continents into a harrowing tale, Invasion captures the raw, psychological terror of a global catastrophe.

Invasion smartly focuses on humanity over spectacle. That said, the visuals’ cinematic quality, atmospheric score, and international locales give the series a theatricality that feels like a global event. A slow-burning series, Invasion is one for patient people. The story allows its characters and narrative arcs to develop fully over multiple seasons, giving it a truly episodic vibe. While there is great mystery surrounding the extraterrestrials, the characters’ arcs are heavily rooted in the scientific process and deep personal grief rather than fantastical technology. Everything found inside Invasion is methodical, giving the show a more psychologically grounded science-fiction survival-story epic. There may be aliens, but Invasion is a refreshing people-first thriller.

‘Silo’ (2023–Present)

It pains my soul to say Silo is only near-perfect, but compared to Severance and Pluribus, it’s a notch below. Nevertheless, it remains one of the greatest shows on the streamer. Created by Graham Yost and based on the Silo trilogy of novels by Hugh Howey, the series is set in a dystopian future where a community lives in a giant underground silo with 144 levels. The residents are governed by strict rules and believe the outside world is a toxic, ruined wasteland. Engineer Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) becomes embroiled in the mystery of the past and the present as she seeks to uncover the dark, murderous conspiracy behind their existence. A brilliant mystery box that continues to expand the universe’s lore season by season, Silo is a fight for survival after a lie to survive.

Instead of relying on magical or futuristic technology, the show grounds itself in realistic mechanics, sociological theory, and the harsh, immutable rules of a confined, dystopian environment. And this society is no cakewalk to live in. The psychological effects of scarcity, resource management, and how totalitarian surveillance and history-erasure can shape a closed population over centuries are central to its narrative. Despite being a future-set thriller, science falls into the past. Due to the lack of technological evolution, the denizens of the silo use our modern technology in their future dystopia — steam, generators, heat dissipation, and the brutal physics of moving up and down the massive structure — making it appear as a mind-bending juxtaposition. Come for the intriguing story, stay for the top-rate ensemble, featuring Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, and more. Silo is a great example of why hard science is such a necessary genre within the sci-fi umbrella.

Anime has grown into a force to be reckoned with in the past few years, with series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer drawing in audiences week after week. Actors like Michael B. Jordan and Timothée Chalamet have publicly expressed their love for anime classics like Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh! Even streamers are getting in on the anime craze, as Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece has become just as much of a hit as the original anime. However, it turns out that one anime series has reached a new level of popularity, and proven its naysayers wrong in the process.

This anime is Solo Leveling, which just trumped its competition in one major arena. According to a report, Solo Leveling has surpassed 1 million ratings on Crunchyroll, making it the most watched anime series on the platform. Furthermore, 95% of these ratings are at the 5-star level, which proves that fans can’t get enough of Solo Leveling. Part of this success is thanks to the fact that Crunchyroll is the only streaming platform where fans can watch the series. The rest lies in the premise of the anime and the original webtoon novels by Chugong and Jang Sung-rak, which takes place in a world full of magic and monsters.

‘Solo Leveling’ Has A Premise That Makes It A Must-Watch Anime

Solo Leveling is centered around a society of hunters, who use their supernatural abilities to protect humanity from eldritch abominations. Hunter Sung Jin-woo, after surviving a near-fatal battle that wipes out a group of his fellow Hunters, is selected by a magical program called “The System” which allows him to increase his abilities with every monster he slays. What makes this noteworthy is that each Hunter is born with base abilities that they can’t increase, making Sung Jin-woo special. If the idea of a teenage demon hunter becoming more and more powerful wasn’t enough of a draw, Solo Leveling also boasts some gorgeous animation and epic fight scenes courtesy of A-1 Pictures. Anime fans might recognize A-1’s work from other beloved anime series like Fairy Tail and Black Butler, which adds an extra level of prestige to Solo Leveling.

Despite Solo Leveling‘s increase in popularity, there’s also been an equal amount of backlash. Most detractors often point to the fact that Sung Jin-woo easily wins every fight he enters, or that he lacks the personality of other beloved anime protagonists. Others say that while it might not be an isekai story, it carries the tropes that have run that genre into the ground. These detractors are missing out on the fact that what they see as less than desirable elements might appeal to other fans, and from the Crunchyroll ratings it seems like a lot of fans enjoy this series for going so over the top. An argument could also be made that other iconic characters like Batman and James Bond serve as power fantasies, which proves that some things are truly universal.

‘Solo Leveling’ Is Growing Into A Blockbuster Franchise

Although the original Solo Leveling novels have wrapped up, the series is continuing to thrive in multiple ways. Season 3 of the anime is currently in production, while a sequel novel titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok was released in 2023 to the same critical acclaim as its predecessor. Perhaps the biggest news is that Solo Leveling will be receiving a live action adaptation from Netflix, starring Byeon Woo-seok as Sung Jin-woo. Considering the massive success that Netflix’s had with the live-action One Piece and Korean-language programming after Squid Game‘s blockbuster ratings, it’s no surprise that the streamer would want to adapt such a popular series. It would also give Netflix a leg up on Crunchyroll, and Solo Leveling fans another version of their favorite story.

Solo Leveling growing into the most watched anime of all time on Crunchyroll is proof that the anime business is here to stay. It also shows that the “next big thing” isn’t always what you expect.

Brandi Glanville Claims She Spent $10K Fighting Ex Eddie Cibrian

Brandi Glanville is opening up about another painful chapter from her split with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star recently claimed she had to spend more than $10,000 in legal fees just to retrieve her own retirement money after their divorce, alleging the process dragged on for nearly a year. Glanville made the revelation during a recent episode of her podcast, “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” while reflecting on the financial complications that followed her highly publicized split from the actor.

According to Glanville, tensions escalated when she attempted to retrieve her 401K during divorce proceedings. On her podcast, the reality star claimed she “had to hire a lawyer to get my own 401K back” from Cibrian, whom she divorced in 2010 after eight years of marriage.

Glanville alleged the “Sunset Beach” actor “was trying to keep it” and claimed he made the process far more difficult than expected. Speaking to co-host James Maas, Glanville said the ordeal ended up costing her more than $10,000 and took nearly a year to resolve. “He’s like, get a lawyer, and so I did,” Glanville said.

The reality star explained that she ultimately had to obtain a qualified domestic relations order (QDRO), a legal process used to determine how retirement accounts, pensions, and 401Ks are divided during a divorce.

Glanville also suggested she may soon be facing another legal dispute, hinting at an ongoing issue she expects could require hiring an attorney. “I’m going to have to get a lawyer to fight, which is so ridiculous. I don’t want that for anyone,” she said.

The Bravo alum used her own experience as a warning to fellow Housewives navigating relationships and finances. “That goes back to Housewives, they’re all getting divorced and half of them don’t even have a 401K,” Glanville said. “Get your sh-t together ladies. Know where the money is,” she added.

Glanville shares two sons with Cibrian: Mason, 23, and Jake, 19.

Glanville and Cibrian’s split made headlines after the actor began a relationship with singer-actress LeAnn Rimes following their affair on the set of the 2009 film “Northern Lights.” Cibrian later married Rimes in April 2011.

Years after the breakup, Glanville reflected on learning about the affair in a 2021 opinion piece, admitting the discovery was devastating. “There was video footage of them kissing over the table,” Glanville wrote at the time. “It was devastating. I went straight home, passed out in my closet, cried and cried.”

“He tried to convince me it wasn’t real, but I knew it was over,” she continued. “They were sucking on each other’s fingers in the footage, yet he was telling me nothing was happening.”

Brandi Glanville Says She Always Suspected Something Was Wrong

Looking back, Glanville admitted she had long suspected something was happening between Cibrian and his co-stars. “I’d sometimes visit him on set and notice chemistry with certain co-stars,” she wrote. “I’d ask him if something had gone down, but he’d tell me I was crazy. He’d say I was jealous and that he loved me. Then I’d think it was my fault, that I really was being crazy, but in my gut I knew I was probably right.”

Despite everything that unfolded, Glanville previously admitted the breakup shattered plans she once thought would last forever. “Eddie and I were together for 13 years and married for eight,” she wrote. “We always promised each other that we would never get a divorce and that we’d love each other when we were old.”

Brandi Glanville Says Her Facial Parasite Has Returned

Glanville has also continued to battle an ongoing health scare that she says remains unresolved. During the same episode of her podcast, the former reality star revealed that the facial parasite issue she previously believed had improved has seemingly returned. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, guys,” Glanville admitted. “I thought I was fixed, and then it happened again, and now it’s sinking in again.”

The 53-year-old expressed frustration over her ongoing search for answers, explaining that despite seeing countless specialists, she still has no clear diagnosis or long-term solution. “If I had answers, I would tell you. I’ve been to a million doctors,” Glanville said.

According to Glanville, the only things that appear to offer relief are sunlight, parasite medication, and sticking to a strict diet. “The only thing that really seems to help is being out in the sun and the parasite medication and the parasite diet,” she shared. “And I don’t have answers. Is there a doctor that specializes in parasites? ‘Cause I can’t find one.”

OG Queer Eye Star ‘Deeply Resonated’ With Karamo’s Claims

Published

Karamo Brown Claims Flirty Relationship With Queer Eye Costar Resulted in Harassment Complaint

Original Queer Eye For The Straight Guy star Jai Rodriguez is responding to Karamo Brown’s claims the environment on the hit reality TV series was toxic.

“Hey ya’ll, it’s Jai here from the original Queer Eye, or maybe 20-some odd years ago you remember it as being the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy,” Rodriguez, 46, shared in a video uploaded to TikTok on Friday, June 5. “It was the first major show on Bravo and my successor, Karamo, who I love and adore, just did a big interview that I deeply resonated with. Deeply resonated with.”

In a tell-all interview with People published on Tuesday, June 2, Karamo — who starred on the revamped Queer Eye for 10 seasons alongside Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk and later Jeremiah Brent — claimed the show’s working environment was filled with alleged bullying and poor behavior.

“Everyone would just say, ‘Well, that’s just that person,’ instead of saying, ‘This behavior does not fly in a professional environment,’” Brown claimed. “It impacted me negatively, consistently.”

Karamo Brown is ready to open up about his experience filming Queer Eye with his Fab Five costars. In a new interview, Brown, 45, described a work environment filled with alleged bullying and poor behavior. “Everyone would just say, ‘Well, that’s just that person,’ instead of saying, ‘This behavior does not fly in a professional […]

He continued, “I was depressed. It felt shameful because I was teaching people that they could be better, but in my own life, I was trapped.”

On Friday, Rodriguez told his followers that he was making a video “in support of” Karamo and “all Queer Eye folk who have ever been a Fab Five person” in the United States.

@jairodriguezworld

Honestly unless you were one of us y’all never really know what happened bts. Much love and respect for @Karamo and his journey sharing his truth. #queereye

“I think it’s important to share that unless you worked on the show as a Fab Five member, you’ll never know the actual story and, to date, none of us have ever written a tell-all or told our stories as honestly as Karamo did,” he added. “It just hasn’t happened. And, um, I have the utmost respect for Karamo sharing his truth. I’m sure in the next month, years, whatever, more people will share tales of their journeys and some may shock you, and some may not.”

He continued, “But I think what is undeniable and what I love that Karamo emphasized is that at the end of the day, cast members came together to make sure that the hero, the person we were making over — in the 100 episodes that we did in the original cast, and the 10 seasons the new cast did — that all the folks that we made over were seen, respected and elevated and loved and cared for. And it really took a family to do that, and families can be dysfunctional.”

Rodriguez starred in all five seasons of the OG Queer Eye For The Straight Guy as the culture expert alongside Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia and Carson Kressley.

Rodriguez went on to share on Friday that even a TV family isn’t immune from the dysfunction of a typical family dynamic.

“I really did always assume that I would be the one to write a tell-all of the experience, because I feel like I can be the most honest and have nothing to lose and [am] fair and metered,” he added. “But I’m still so thankful that Karamo opened up that door of honesty because families are messy, and if it’s a TV family you don’t get a pass — you are still gonna be messy.”

He concluded, “Messy is also a big word, but I’m just so proud of him. So proud of him. I felt… yeah. Also bitch, did you change your number because I texted you. Let me know.”

At 5’3”, I used to hate being short — until I learned to dress myself. I always tried to wear dresses made for taller frames, which made me look frumpy and disproportionate. Once I discovered the styles that flattered my figure, I felt more confident and even appeared much taller than I actually am. In fact, people regularly tell me now that I have ‘tall girl energy.’

My favorite silhouettes include waist-cinching midis and minis that make my legs look miles long. You’ll find 19 petite-friendly dresses for every summer occasion in this artfully curated list . Whether you want a dress to lounge in or need something for a romantic date, get ready to feel like your best, most stylish self — without splurging or slipping on 5-inch heels.

19 Petite Summer Dresses That Make Me Look Taller

Everyday Staples

1. An All-Time Favorite: T-shirt dresses are arguably better than regular tees. Just take this flowy version that is super simple yet looks incredible paired with nothing but white sneakers.

2. Old Reliable: Who wants to wear pants in the summer? Not me! I own this comfy cotton tank dress in three colors because it looks sporty, hugs all the right curves and can be worn anywhere.

3. Quiet Luxury: Channel your inner Martha Stewart with a collared maxi dress. It doesn’t have an ounce of bling, yet screams ‘I own a house in the Hamptons.’

4. Don’t Break the Bank: Between the ruffled sleeves, extra soft fabric and the hidden pockets, I would swear this casual dress was much more expensive than $15.

5. Sporty Chic: Even if you aren’t playing tennis, you’ll look like a champion with this stylish drawstring sport dress. It’s a no-fuss design that’s wonderful for running errands.

Vacation-Ready Stunners

6. On Island Time: The vibrant pattern on this boxy boho dress reminds me of a Farm Rio design, but the price point is much more budget-friendly.

7. Set Sail: This flowy, tiered halter dress looks so majestic and will be an especially stunning look for a sunset island cruise on vacation.

8. Pretty Mini: Love the neckline of the above dress, but want to show a little leg? This halter option fits the bill, and the elongating cut instnatly makes you look supermodel tall.

9. Cinch It: With its A-line cut and twisted bodice, Cupshe’s gorgeous maxi completely cinches your waist to give you an hourglass figure.

10. Bare It All: From the front, the ruched detailing and mini bubble skirt on this designer-like dress disguise your stomach. However, the open back shows off the work you’ve been putting in at the gym.

Sleek and Professional

11. She Means Business: When you show up to the office in PrettyGarden’s black, flared A-line dress, you’ll be able to close any deal while looking like a million bucks. It also layers well underneath a blazer.

12. Eyelet Action: This flared dress is incredibly versatile thanks to the intricate eyelet detailing. Wear it to the office on a hot summer day, but don’t forget to pack it for your trip to the shore!

13. Pleats for Days: The extra small pleats on this sleeveless midi add plenty of volume and movement, and when paired with heels, your legs look miles long.

14. Extra Classy: If Audrey Hepburn were still around, she’d totally wear this business-appropriate summer sweater dress, with its clean cuts and eye-catching gold buttons.

15. Small Belt, Big Effect: Petite girls can sometimes hold extra weight in their midsection (I would know), but this sophisticated number completely hides that and gives more shape thanks to the built-in belt.

A Little Bit of Romance

16. Dance The Night Away: Between the flattering halter neck, the cheeky ruffles and the dainty floral pattern, this summery mini is begging to be worn on the dance floor.

17. Upgraded Wrap Dress: Remember the iconic wrap dress? Well, it just got even more romantic with whimsical puff sleeves and an asymmetrical ruffle hem.

18. Milk Maid With a Twist: What do you get when you combine the milkmaid dress trend with cottagecore? This elegant buttoned design that blends modern and vintage detailing in a non-cheesy way.

19. All in the Slit: This pretty floral sundress goes from casual daytime essential to sultry nighttime stunner thanks to the artfully placed slit.

She’ll always have Midge! After Rachel Brosnahan and the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast wrapped the fifth and final season, the leading lady intended to fondly remember her time playing Miriam “Midge” Maisel. “Oh yeah, this is a set full of kleptos. We took everything that wasn’t nailed down,” Brosnahan, 32, quipped during a Thursday, April 13, appearance on Live […]

Brosnahan and the status of her marriage raised eyebrows last summer after she starred opposite David Corenswet in DC’s Superman. In a behind-the-scenes clip from the film, Brosnahan appeared to keep kissing Corenswet, 32, after a crew member clearly called “cut,” ending the scene.

Fans swiftly began debating the viral footage, even questioning how healthy Brosnahan’s relationship was with her husband.

“It’s genuinely sad to see your career being tucked out to be remembered as a cuckold because your wife couldn’t handle herself with her co-actor. Like bro,” one fan told Ralph, 40, via Instagram comment. “Let’s have some self love and stand up for yourself man, leave her to be with him if she wants that much at the end of the day.”

Ralph subtly “liked” the message but did not publicly address the situation head-on. Brosnahan also never addressed the controversy.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star and Ralph have been together since 2013, meeting on the set of I’m Obsessed With You. Brosnahan, however, had no interest in dating Ralph when she was a coworker.

More important than God! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan opened up about the relationship between Midge and Lenny — and revealed what she loves most about the fan favorite pairing.  “That relationship has evolved in ways, that as fans will know, I never could have expected. And in fact, I was told was never gonna happen,” Brosnahan, […]

“It was a hard no for me,” she quipped to Town & Country in 2022, further joking, “Stay away, stay away. OK, fine.”

Brosnahan and Ralph ultimately tied the knot in 2018 after five years of dating, often keeping the details of their romance to themselves.

“I’ve been quite private about my personal life for a few reasons. The first being that it’s just that … personal,” she told People in 2019. “Jason and I also noticed early on that, while we are both the leads of successful television series, he has almost never been asked about our relationship while I have been asked on almost every red carpet I have walked in the last 2 years. We both find this double standard problematic and frustrating and opted to redirect those conversations to our work.”

Ralph later joined Brosnahan on the set of Maisel ahead of its 2023 series finale.

“I was so intimidated because we haven’t worked together since we met 10 years ago,” Brosnahan told Entertainment Tonight in 2023 of Ralph’s Maisel role. “I was really nervous for him to actually see me doing this up close, and come into my world, but it was amazing.”
