‘Supernatural’s Most Heartbreaking Loose End Is the Daughter Dean Winchester Never Got To Know
Of all the crazy things to happen on Supernatural, one of the most bizarre occurred smack in the middle of the series’ epic 15-season run. If you ever wondered if Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) was dad material, wonder no further. Season 7 was an odd one for the show, introducing the Leviathans, killing off main characters, and stripping the Winchesters of their iconic Impala for a time. But one of the weirdest additions to the show’s ever-evolving mythos was when writers Eugenie Ross-Leming and Brad Buckner gave Dean a daughter after he slept with an Amazon. Not only did the elder Winchester produce a child of his own, but that very same daughter later tried to kill him. It doesn’t get much stranger than that on Supernatural.
“The Slice Girls” Officially Gives Dean Winchester a Not-So-Little Girl of His Own
In the show’s seventh season episode, “The Slice Girls,” which takes place not long after the death of their surrogate father, Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver), the Winchesters find themselves in Seattle investigating some pretty strange murders. Each of the victims had their hands and feet cut off and bore a symbol carved into their chest, which is about right up the brothers’ alley. Additionally, each of these victims had engaged in one-night stands at a local bar, The Colbalt Room, which they only discovered after Dean first had a sexual encounter of his own with a woman named Lydia (Sara Canning). Soon after, Lydia becomes pregnant and gives birth to a young girl named Emma, who ages rapidly into a teenager in less than three days.
As Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean try to figure out their next move, they discover that Lydia is one of the Amazons, a group of warrior women (not unlike Wonder Woman) who were blessed by the Greek goddess Harmonia with the ability to conceive and give birth quickly for the sake of amassing their armed forces. As the Amazons continue to build their army, they do so by traveling from place to place every few years, only to bear more children, kill their fathers, and move on to the next town. With Seattle as their current locale, Sam and Dean put two-and-two together, recognizing that Lydia was an Amazon and that her rapidly aging daughter Emma (played later by Alexia Fast, who had previously played Missy Bender in the fan-favorite “The Benders”) is actually Dean’s offspring.
As Sam is jumped by an Amazon elsewhere, Dean is confronted by Emma, now at the end of her rapid-aging process. Though Sam and Dean thought that Lydia would have come to kill Dean, Sam discovers that the Amazons assign their children to commit patricide as a rite of passage into their ranks. While confronting Dean, Emma pleads with her father to help get her out from under the Amazonian cult, and tries to appeal to their familial ties, but it’s all a trick. Emma had been briefed by her superiors on her father and uncle’s profession and had prepared to deceive Dean into letting his guard down. By the time Sam gets back to the motel, Dean and his daughter are engaged in a standoff, forcing Sam to be the one to ultimately pull the trigger.
Emma’s Potential on ‘Supernatural’ Was Instantly Cut Short
The idea that either Sam or Dean would have children while Supernatural was in its heyday is something that the showrunners would never have allowed to happen. After all, it would drastically change the tone of the show and introduce character dynamics that wouldn’t conform naturally to the way the series had been set up. Supernatural was always meant to be a horror road show, and because of that, for the first seven and a half seasons, the Winchesters never had a base of operations or a home to call their own. While Season 8 would change that by introducing the Men of Letters and their Lebanon, Kansas-based bunker, Season 7 was still firmly set on the open road. It’s not surprising then that the rest of Supernatural essentially forgets about this moment, never mentioning Emma again after this season.
Nevertheless, “The Slice Girls” exists, and Emma is legitimately Dean’s only known biological child. That’s not something you see every day, and for a character who struggles with living under a deadbeat dad of his own (we still love you, John Winchester), the idea that Dean would have a daughter is a fascinating concept. Considering that Emma was an Amazon like her mother, it makes the concept all the more engaging, knowing that Dean’s only confirmed child isn’t even human. We have to remember that, at this point in Supernatural, Dean was rarely merciful to monsters. If anything, he would go out of his way to make sure more were put down properly. Sure, he and Sam let a few go over the years (provided they didn’t kill humans), but earlier in Season 7, Dean had been responsible for killing a monster friend of Sam’s from his childhood, one who only killed to save her own son. Sam was furious with Dean then, and his killing Emma allowed him to return the ill-gotten favor.
But what happened to Emma — a girl who, had she survived, we might have come to know as Emma Winchester — is a tragedy. Not only was Dean’s Amazon-born daughter brainwashed by the Harmonia-centric cult, but she also showed no remorse about killing her own father. If Dean could have saved her, if he could have convinced her to leave with him (or at least go their separate ways), it’s possible we could’ve had a very heartfelt father-daughter Supernatural story down the road, which might’ve changed the elder Winchesters’ outlook on the opposite sex. More than that, it might’ve been a more natural way to change Dean’s mind concerning monsters in general, rather than how the following season did so with his time in Purgatory.
Emma’s Story Is Tragic, but Dean’s Reaction Is Even More So
There’s no denying that what happened to Emma here is a tragedy, even if it’s an understandable one. Here’s a girl who died for no reason simply because she was ordered to kill her father by a group of cultic warriors. According to Emma, she had no choice in the matter, though Dean (captain of “Team Free Will” over here), of all people, knows that everyone always has a choice. Dean’s inability to convince Emma of her own autonomy is heartbreaking, and while we’re not meant to sympathize with his psychotic Amazonian daughter, it’s not hard to see why Dean himself would want to. At the end of the episode, Sam accuses Dean of not being able to pull the trigger, which Dean adamantly denies. But the truth is, Sam, might be right. Dean saw Emma as his daughter, his only daughter, and for that reason alone, we can’t help but feel for his strange loss.
To make matters worse, the Amazons get away in the end. As far as we know, Emma’s mother, Lydia, was with them, likely furious at the fact that her daughter didn’t return from her mission. But, because Supernatural never acknowledged this episode beyond a brief reference in the very next episode, “Plucky Pennywhistle’s Magical Menagerie,” Lydia is left in the wind. Though the show treats it as a standard monster-of-the-week story, it feels much more than that, and given how other episodes this season would be followed up on in the future, Supernatural‘s decision to ignore the Amazon story seems like an oversight. It’s unlikely that Lydia wouldn’t want to avenge her daughter’s death, just as it’s strange that the Amazons wouldn’t attempt to kill the Winchesters after Sam first killed two of their own. Instead, this is just yet another one of Supernatural‘s many loose threads.
This Isn’t the First Time ‘Supernatural’ Teased Dean Winchester’s Offspring
Of course, this isn’t the first or only time that Supernatural teased the idea of Dean being a father. As early as the show’s third season, Lisa Braeden (Cindy Sampson) and her son Ben (Nicholas Elia) were introduced in “The Kids Are Alright,” and immediately the show made us believe that Ben was the result of a hook-up between Dean and Lisa years earlier. Though Lisa denied it, Ben’s aesthetic, choice of music, speech patterns, and physical appearance made many believe otherwise. After Sam was trapped in Hell at the end of Season 5, Dean went to live with the Braedens and became Ben’s surrogate father. By the end of Season 6, Dean had Castiel (Misha Collins) erase Ben and Lisa’s memories after the pair were nearly killed by a demon, but not before that demon revealed Ben was indeed Dean’s son.
Naturally, Dean (and Supernatural itself) framed this as just another lie the demon was trying to tell, and so Dean left his makeshift family behind forever. This all took place just before Season 7, when Dean had his encounter with Emma, making her not the first, but the second child of his that he’s walked out on (or worse, in Emma’s case). It wouldn’t be until the show’s final few years that Dean would have one more chance to redeem himself as a surrogate father figure with Jack Klein (Alexander Calvert), the estranged son of Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino). Dean, Sam, and Castiel helped raise Jack (who is a Nephilim) into a stand-up young man, one who ended up being vital in saving the world. While things between Dean and his only confirmed biological child might have turned sour, the elder Winchester proved himself to be worthy dad material by the end. No wonder Sam later named his own child after his brother.
Supernatural is available for streaming on Netflix.

Video Captures Woman Attacking Her At McDonald’s
Fans are flooding the internet with questions after video footage shows a young woman attacking Ice Spice while she was eating at a McDonald’s in Los Angeles. TMZ dropped the clip, which sees the woman and Ice getting into a heated exchange before things turned physical.

Video Shows Ice Spice In Heated Altercation At McDonald’s
According to TMZ, a woman named Vayah jogged up to Ice Spice while she was eating with a friend at a Hollywood McDonald’s on Wednesday, April 15. Once Vayah reaches Ice’s booth, she asks her, “Is she ready to shake a**?” Ice then responds, “So go shake a**.” Vayah then asks if Ice is from California, and the two keep going back and forth as Vayah steps closer and gets into Ice’s face. That’s when things escalate! Vayah starts swinging and even appears to slap Ice in the face at one point.
Fans Flood The TL Following Ice Spice’s Incident
Once The Shade Room reshared the footage of Ice Spice’s McDonald’s altercation, the comment section was filled with reactions. Some folks said Ice’s friend didn’t hold her down, while others said she should’ve definitely had security on deck.
Instagram user @itsimanisymone wrote, “The friend ain’t do enough for me.”
Instagram user @landonxfrost wrote, “She didn’t hear the saxophones ringing?”
While Instagram user @javier_debarge wrote, “Spice you should’ve been stood up.”
Then, Instagram user @fuel4thebody wrote, “Pay attention to how your ‘friends’ & ‘family’ behave when someone attacks you. Some people close to you are jealously waiting on your down fall, which won’t happen, because 🫵🏾 you are divinely protected & favored.”
Another Instagram user, @kitti3softpaws, wrote, “I will never understand sitting down while someone is talking aggressively while standing over you.”
Instagram user @mrjerometrammel wrote, “People get too comfortable physically attacking celebrities for clout and thrills.. Always protest yourself.. mace or a taser would’ve done her some good..”
Then another Instagram user @kelittles wrote, “They both played cause don’t even stand over me or my friend!!! EVA!”
While another Instagram user @chefredpotatoes wrote, “All friends are NOT Dess Dior 🧐 I’ll tell you that much.”
Finally, Instagram user @djmatik wrote, “Why is she even there and with no security.”
Ice Spice’s Lawyer Speaks Out, While Vayah Explains What Allegedly Went Down
TMZ spoke exclusively with Vayah, the young woman who physically assaulted Ice Spice. She says she and her friends saw Ice eating inside the McDonald’s, so she decided to walk up to her and compliment her and her friend. Vayah claims Ice was allegedly very rude and mean during the interaction. She said she believes Ice could’ve simply asked her to leave if she didn’t want to be bothered.
She also claimed Ice called her a “b***h” during the exchange. From there, Vayah said staff escorted her out of the McDonald’s, but she was still able to hear Ice talking about her.
While she stood outside, she said she saw Ice grab her friend’s phone off the floor and throw it, cracking the screen. Additionally, Vayah said the incident made her no longer want to support Ice Spice and has changed the way she sees her.
After the scuffle, Ice’s lawyer spoke on the situation. He says the altercation has been reported to the Los Angeles Police Department, and police will hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD, and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly. We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security,” Bradford Cohen said in a statement.

26 Years Later, the Best Historical Epic Is Still a Masterpiece From Start to Finish
Ridley Scott is shaping up for a major year in 2026 as he makes his return to the sci-fi genre with The Dog Stars. The post-apocalyptic thriller features Jacob Elordi and Josh Brolin alongside Margaret Qualley, and after being pushed back from its original March release, it’s now positioned as one of the summer’s biggest blockbusters. The Dog Stars will mark Scott’s first venture into sci-fi in nearly a decade, following 2017’s Alien: Covenant. In the years since, Scott has largely turned his attention to historical epics, though the results haven’t always landed smoothly. Films like The Last Duel (led by Matt Damon) and Napoleon (starring Joaquin Phoenix) have ended up among the more divisive entries in his filmography.
Fans could spend years going back and forth deciding what deserves the title as Ridley Scott’s most famous movie, but one that would undoubtedly get a ton of votes is Gladiator. The 2000 historical epic is still viewed, even to this day, as one of the best and most influential movies of all time, and it was a success by every metric. It won several awards at the 2001 Oscars, grossed over $465 million at the box office against a $100 million budget, and earned scores of 80% from critics and 87% from audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. In America, Gladiator is streaming on Paramount+, where it’s been for years now, but the film is also available to watch for free on Pluto TV for now. However, in other countries around the world, Gladiator has become one of the most popular VOD hits on platforms such as Apple TV.
What Is ‘Gladiator’ About?
The official synopsis for Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe and directed by Ridley Scott, reads as follows:
“A former Roman General (Russell Crowe) sets out to exact vengeance against a corrupt emperor (Joaquin Phoenix) who murdered his family and sent him into slavery.”
Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix famously got into heated arguments on the set of Gladiator, forcing Phoenix to walk off the set and threaten to quit the film. Ridley Scott talked him down off the metaphorical ledge, but Crowe still maintains that Phoenix’s behavior was unprofessional, leading to the two never working together again.
Check out Gladiator on Paramount+ or Pluto TV and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates and coverage of Ridley Scott’s future projects.

Kanye West Dealt Major Blow As Another Concert Gets Canceled
Kanye West continues to face challenges amid his career comeback due to mounting backlash over his past comments praising Hitler and anti-Semitic remarks.
Poland is the latest country to shun the rapper by canceling his concert scheduled for June 19 at the Slaski Stadium.
Despite Kanye West taking out a full-page ad in a popular news outlet for an apology, it hasn’t helped him fix his damaged brand after years of controversial comments.
Kanye West’s Poland Show Canceled

Kanye West’s potential comeback has suffered another blow as officials in Poland announced the cancellation of his upcoming stadium show.
On Friday, management for the Slaski Stadium in Chorzów confirmed that the concert, originally scheduled for June 19, 2026, would no longer take place.
Although the venue cited “formal and legal reasons” for the move, the announcement comes after the Polish government announced that they’ll seek to ban the planned show.
“We would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for June 19, 2026, at the… Slaski stadium will not take place due to formal and legal reasons,” the stadium director, Adam Strzyzewski, said in a statement, per the Daily Mail.
West’s comments may have inflamed Poles, as quite a devastating number of Jews died in Poland during World War II. The country was the epicenter of the Holocaust, and over 90% of the Polish Jewish population was murdered by Nazi Germany.
“In a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment,” Polish Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska said on Thursday.
Other Countries Have Also Canceled His Shows

Poland isn’t the only country that has essentially shut its doors on the West for its past offensive comments.
Earlier this month, the Home Office announced that it had banned West from entering the U.K. to headline London’s Wireless Festival in July.
“Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless,” Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said in a statement.
“This government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism. We will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values,” he added.
The festival has since been canceled as many called out the organizers for overlooking West’s past offenses in the first place.
It was even made worse as several corporate sponsors, like Pepsi and Diageo, started pulling out from the event.
West was also scheduled to perform in France at the Marseille Vélodrome stadium on June 11, but that has also been thwarted as pressure mounted from all quarters. However, the rapper has been able to perform in the U.S. and Mexico.
Kanye West Apologized For His Past Actions

West’s wave of cancellations comes after he took out a full page in the Wall Street Journal, apologizing for his acts and explaining that it was a result of his struggles with bipolar disorder and mental health issues.
“I am not a Nazi or an antisemite,” he wrote, per The Guardian. “I love Jewish people.”
The “Praise God” rapper went further to apologize for any hurt he may have caused, saying he was “deeply mortified” by his past behavior and is now “committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change.”
West explained that while growing up, he suffered inefficiency from doctors who failed to diagnose a frontal-lobe injury sustained in a car crash in 2002.
The Rapper Said He ‘Lost Touch With Reality’ Due To His Medical Issues

West wrote that as a result of the medical issue, he “lost touch with reality,” which prompted him to drift towards “the most destructive symbol I could find, the swastika.”
The father of four also shared that he previously experienced a four-month manic episode of “psychotic, paranoid, and impulsive behavior that destroyed my life” and brought about suicidal ideation.
West was only able to find solace in the fact that he got to meet other people like him on Reddit, which helped encourage him that he’s not alone.
He noted that medication, therapy, exercise, and “clean living” also helped him see things clearly and helped him to channel his efforts into making “positive, meaningful art.”
Kanye West Had A Huge Performance In The U.S.

It remains to be seen how he handles his sustained cancellations and disapproval. However, back home in America, he recently performed in front of 80,000 fans at the SoFi Stadium in L.A., singing on a revolving globe stage.
He brought out top artists like Travis Scott during the show, and also performed alongside his daughter, North West.
Many fans on social media have also shared how they don’t hold anything against him and have seemingly dropped their issues with him following his apology.
Melvin Benn, Wireless Festival boss, has also called for people to forgive West, saying that, “Forgiveness and giving people a second chance are becoming a lost virtue in this ever-increasing, divisive world.”

D4vd’s Arrest Footage Surfaces As His Lawyers Speak Out
Y’all! D4vd is back in the headlines, and this time it’s over a situation that’s been quietly unfolding for months. New footage is now circulating that has people connecting the dots and paying closer attention to what’s been happening behind the scenes. And it adds a new layer to the ongoing investigation, which has already been under scrutiny.

New Footage Shows D4vd Taken Into Custody In Ongoing Investigation
According to reports, newly surfaced videos show D4vd being taken into custody by law enforcement in the Hollywood Hills around 5 p.m. on Thursday. In clips obtained by TMZ and other outlets, officers are seen placing the singer under arrest. This comes as part of an ongoing investigation tied to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Additional footage obtained by The California Post shows him with his hands behind his back as officers escort him down a residential street.
The singer, also known as David Anthony Burke, had reportedly not been seen publicly for months prior to the arrest. In the footage, he appears in gray sweatpants and a black hoodie, remaining expressionless as the situation unfolds. According to reports, a nearby resident claimed they noticed a heavy police presence in the area. Footage also reveals how officers were heard using a loudspeaker to call for a surrender before taking him into custody. Authorities later confirmed they executed an arrest based on probable cause, noting they had been monitoring the situation closely as the investigation developed.
D4vd’s Legal Team Speaks Out, Denies Allegations
D4vd’s legal team is already speaking out following his arrest, making it clear they’re pushing back against the allegations. In a statement shared to Nexstar shortly after he was taken into custody, his attorneys strongly denied any involvement, saying the evidence will ultimately show he was not responsible for the teen’s death. They also emphasized that no formal charges or indictment have been filed at this time. They also note that he is currently being held under suspicion as the investigation continues. Officials say he is being held without bail as the case moves forward. Meanwhile, his legal team maintains they plan to vigorously defend him, signaling this could turn into a lengthy legal battle. Their statement reveals:
“Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.” It continued, “There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed. David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”
D4vd’s Music Career Faces Uncertainty Amid Ongoing Case
Meanwhile, it looks like D4vd’s situation may also be impacting his music career in real time. Fans quickly noticed that his artist page is no longer visible on Interscope Records’ website, and searches for his profile reportedly return inactive or dead links. While it’s unclear exactly when the change happened, records suggest he was still listed as recently as late February.
The move comes after reports that his label and affiliated partners had already begun pausing promotional efforts tied to his music amid the ongoing investigation. At the time, sources indicated that major companies associated with his releases were stepping back from campaigns due to sensitivity to the situation. Now, it’s left fans wondering what this latest development could mean for his future in the industry.

Malcolm In The Middle Revival Completely Lives Up To Its Hype
By TeeJay Small
| Published

By now, we’re all sick of reboots, revivals, and legacy sequels. Sometimes it feels like Hollywood has no new ideas, and the entire industry is propped up on packaging our nostalgia for a time before we paid bills, and selling it back to us on a subscription-based model.
While I’m usually super wary of these things, I couldn’t help but tune in the very moment that Malcolm In The Middle: Life’s Still Unfair dropped on Hulu. Much to my surprise, the four-part reunion show actually holds up superbly, leaving me cautiously optimistic about the future of the franchise.
Malcolm’s Fourth-Wall Insecurities Still Prevail

In case you missed it, Life’s Still Unfair was announced all the way back in December of 2024, with nearly all of the original actors and producers returning to their respective roles. Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston had been championing a return to the series for years, though I never thought I’d see the day that it would actually come to pass. The original Malcolm In The Middle series ended all the way back in 2006, so it was nice to see the old, no-last-name family aging into new roles, facing fresh challenges, and maturing in their own dysfunctional way.
Life’s Still Unfair picks up 20 years after we last saw Malcolm, finding him as a well-adjusted adult who has finally adapted to tolerate the stupidity of those around him. He’s a single father to a teenage girl, who seems to have inherited his otherworldly ability to break the fourth wall. Malcolm isn’t the President of the United States just yet, though he’s in the midst of making a “reluctant pivot” into politics, with a foundation in charity work. The only downside is that he can only keep his neurosis at bay by completely cutting off his entire family.

After spending the bulk of the first episode explaining his avoidance process, Malcolm’s charade is completely shattered. His parents, Lois and Hal, come barging into his home, not content to handle another wishy-washy email exchange. In doing so, we get several of the funniest moments in modern TV history, back, to back, to back. Lois, realizing she has a teenage granddaughter she’s never met, left me in stitches. Malcolm immediately losing his composure at the mere sight of his mother brought me right back to the early 2000s. Hal’s weepy, fainting spells had me genuinely crying.
Everyone brings their A-game to this reboot, but Bryan Cranston has to be my personal highlight. After spending years in other roles, including drug kingpin Walter White, it was shocking how seamlessly he blended right back into the same goofy, dorky, well-meaning Hal. Likewise, nearly everyone in the extended Malcolm In the Middle universe shows up for a cameo appearance without missing a beat. Stevie, Craig, Abe, and Francis’ old military school buddies feel so natural that it’s almost hard to believe they’ve been gone for two decades.
A Perfect Legacy Reboot

Most of these cameo appearances show up for the fourth and final episode of Life’s Still Unfair, at Hal and Lois’ explosive 40th anniversary party. It’s the perfect excuse to organically work all of the old characters back into the fold without making the experience feel like an obnoxious clip show. Meanwhile, we get a handful of new characters, including Malcom’s daughter and his younger, non-binary sibling, Kelly. Some viewers will complain that the brief mention of a non-binary person ruins the entire show, but Malcolm In The Middle has always struck a perfect balance between inclusive and realistic, so I thought it went over quite well.
My only major critique of Life’s Still Unfair is its uninspired shot composition and drab color grading. These things don’t ruin the show, and probably aren’t even noticeable to 90 percent of viewers, but it does strip the series of some of the original’s magic. Some social media users have slapped a filter on a few still images of the show to give it that warm, stylized, early 2000s look, and it’s a massive upgrade.
It’s Only Natural To Want More Of This Family

I’ve heard conflicting reports about the future of Malcolm In The Middle in the wake of the reunion special. Series creator Linwood Boomer has suggested that there are no plans to make more episodes, but there’s an uncanny backdoor pilot feel to the entire special. The introduction of new characters suggests, to my eye, that there might still be untapped adventures with this wild family, even if the original characters only serve as occasional guest stars. Either way, Life’s Still Unfair has courted millions of viewers, with Variety calling the show Disney+ and Hulu’s biggest premiere of the year.
It may not be perfect, it may not be for everybody, but I think Malcolm In The Middle: Life’s Still Unfair is a complete success. The four-part series is currently streaming on Hulu, along with the original show. I’d encourage any sitcom fan to give this one a shot, and maybe revisit a few of its classic episodes while you’re at it.

Meghan Trainor Makes Personal Move After Shocking Fans
Meghan Trainor continues her personal decision spree with her home.
The singer closed the deal on her Los Angeles home on Thursday, April 16, in a very quick sale for a seven-figure, mouth-watering price, days after she announced her tour cancellation.
Meghan Trainor has a lot going on this year, especially after she welcomed 2026 with the heartwarming news of becoming a parent to her and Daryl Sabara’s third child and first daughter through surrogacy.
Meghan Trainor’s Big Sale With Big Gains

The musician parted ways with her old home in the Los Angeles area the same day she announced that her tour would not move forward. Trainor reportedly closed the deal for $6,835,000 million barely a week after she listed it on the market, and the building offers a paradise behind the gates. Trainor’s former home featured 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and nearly 15,000 square feet of living space elegantly situated on 1.09 acres.
The singer bought the home for $6,550,000 million in 2020, making her profit from this round of sale less than $500,000. The property’s main residence offers a stunning view of soaring ceilings and bold design, leading into a stunning grand double staircase, which enters the bright living and dining areas, along with a chef’s kitchen built for seamless indoor-outdoor living.
TMZ noted that the home also has a professional standard record studio with its own dedicated private entrance, a spa-style bathroom upstairs with dual showers, and a private terrace. New occupants of the home will also get to enjoy vacay-style living with a pool and spa, tennis court, putting green, fire pit, lounge, and covered outdoor dining area.
The ‘No’ Singer Picks Family Time Over World Tour In Cancellation Statement

Trainor’s canceled tour’s itinerary included a visit to over 30 arenas and amphitheaters across North America. It was set to wrap up on August 15 in Los Angeles, until she pulled the plug on Thursday, April 16.
As shared by PEOPLE, the singer confessed that it became necessary for her to cancel the tour because she was struggling to balance the release of a new album, preparing for a tour, and tending to her newborn baby girl. Trainor’s family welcomed its fifth member in January via surrogacy, and now the singer claims she needs to be home and present for all of her kids and loved ones.
“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down. But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now,” Trainor added. She promised her fans a return sooner than imagined while raving about her upcoming project amid pride and gratitude for sticking by her through these years.
Meghan Trainor Revealed The Hack That Saved Her Marriage

The mother-of-three is settling into her role as not one, but a three-time parent, slowly but steadily, even if it means looking outward for help. The Blast stated that the songwriter revealed that parenting her kids, however, took over most of her time and that she briefly forgot the fact that she was married.
Trainor noted that she and Sabara began experiencing troubled episodes and arguments as the days went by, which spurred the need for a therapist and marriage counselor. She added that she recorded her soon-to-be-released seventh studio album amid her therapy sessions, and it came to a fulfilling end because she now has her spark and man back.
Trainor revealed that they decided to move forward in their relationship, leaving room for zero resentment by prioritizing genuine and honest conversation as a couple. The singer and her husband were also able to navigate the criticism that came with adopting surrogacy as a means of becoming parents again, with the help of the same therapy.
The Songwriter Kicked Against Surrogacy Stigmatization

Trainor and Sabara did not shy away from admitting that they sought help in becoming parents again due to the singer’s health problems. The songwriter had carried her two older children, but the pregnancy journey was marred by several complications during labor.
While surrogacy was not Trainor’s primary option, she did celebrate the beauty of welcoming a child through a non-conventional means, confessing that it is an indication of trust, science, love, and teamwork in action. She noted that every child deserves love, regardless of where they emerged from, and the brave individuals who help out in carrying these pregnancies deserve to be respected and celebrated.
The singer admitted that it took her a while to wrap her head around the fact that she would not carry her baby, but she eventually understood it was the safest option for her. Trainor continued that surrogacy gave her enough time to bond with baby Mikey Moon and prepare her brothers for her arrival, with hopes that they would become great friends.
Meghan Trainor Also Had The Viral ‘Toxic Mom Group’ To Deal With

The musician reacted to Ashley Tisdale’s touching January article about being stuck in a toxic mom group with a few Hollywood celebrities who made her feel like an outsider and eventually ostracized her from the clan. The Blast shared that while Tisdale did not mention Trainor’s name in the article, she was linked to it due to their friendship.
The singer later addressed the controversy that followed the article, noting that she felt sad for Tisdale and concluding that miscommunication and confusion played a role in the breakdown of the friendship, as she claimed in her article.
Trainor continued that she received text messages from Tisdale about her name being mentioned in blogs and labeled as a toxic friend. She added that she had no idea what truly went down because she had not seen the women in the mom group for a year and had missed out on several get-togethers.

New Version Of The Mummy Is Bad Parenting Wrapped In Vomit-Soaked Blasphemy
By Chris Sawin
| Published

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is not a remake of the 1999 version of The Mummy starring Brendan Fraser, but actually a reimagining of the 1932 film starring Boris Karloff. What’s interesting about the original 1932 version of The Mummy is that it was also reimagined for its four sequels, including a crossover with Abbott and Costello.
The new horror film is loaded with gross-out gore, extreme close-up shots, and is undeniably corny even when tension is meant to be high. The Cannon family is annoying as hell. Charlie (Jack Reynor, Midsommar) is a terrible parent. Katie (Natalie Grace) is abducted because he wasn’t watching her at the beginning of the film, and things get increasingly worse because he’s constantly off being dumb in the basement.

His wife, Larissa (Laia Costa), is a delusional twit. When things get bad, and Katie starts eating live scorpions, headbutting her grandmother in the face, breaking her nose, and having half of her leg ripped off because Larissa doesn’t know how to do a proper pedicure, Charlie gives her an out, stating, “Hey, maybe we should have Katie committed somewhere temporarily because we have no idea what the hell we’re doing, and your mom’s face can only take so much punishment.” Larissa takes it personally and thinks Charlie is implying that she can’t take care of her own daughter. He is, and she can’t.
The Cannons are living in this two-story, creaky-ass house with the loudest floorboards known to man. It also has this insane crawlspace with tiny doors leading to every room in the house, which is more convenient than Jason Voorhees digging tunnels to reach every room in the 2009 Friday the 13th remake. They also live with Carmen Santiago (Veronica Falcon), who is Larissa’s mother. Lee Cronin must have a thing against old people and/or grandparents, because this lady is destroyed throughout the film. Those coyotes that have been lurking around the house are eventually put to good use.
Parenting Is Never Easy

Somewhere in Egypt, a family is riding together in their car. The father sings with his three children as the mother quickly turns off the radio and complains that they’re all giving her a headache, then continues the car ride in silence. When they arrive home, their pet bird is left twitching in its cage in a pool of its own blood. The mother grabs the bird in her hand, blood dripping down her arm, and crushes it to death in front of her family.
The parents make their way to their basement, where they’ve been housing a 3,000-year-old sarcophagus. They decide to crack it open and see if the mummy inside has awoken. As the sarcophagus becomes ajar, their torch is blown out, and a hook lifts the father off his feet, pierces through his jaw, and leaves him dangling in the air while choking on his last blood-soaked breath.

American Charlie Cannon has been working in Cairo as a reporter while trying to get a promotion in New York. As he secures his promotion, his daughter, Katie, disappears. She has been visiting a secret friend at the end of their garden for some time now, a woman who claims to be a magician (the mother from the beginning of the film). The magician (Hayat Kamille) kidnaps Katie, and the Cannon family is never the same.
Eight years later, a plane carrying the sarcophagus crashes. When it’s opened by the authorities, Katie is found inside, totally emaciated and wrapped up like a mummy. The rest of the film is spent trying to figure out what happened to her.
A Smell Only A Mother Can Love

What Lee Cronin’s The Mummy has going for it, other than its long-ass name, is that it is ridiculous. The dialogue reads like a bad soap opera, with Charlie being a mega-macho a-hole for no reason, and any sort of human interaction not feeling genuine in the slightest. The film is loaded with projectile vomit, and whatever is going on with Katie can’t decide whether it wants to blatantly rip off The Evil Dead, The Exorcist, or Poltergeist.
Charlie goes jogging out into a sandstorm to search for Katie after she disappears, and is barely fazed by the disastrous natural phenomenon. Katie violently and repeatedly shoves a fireplace poker into her foot after her mother’s attempt at cutting her toenails. Katie is also catatonic throughout most of the film. She breathes these raspy death rattle breaths, chomps her teeth, and gurgles these inhuman noises. She’s violent, unpredictable, with stinky, dried-out skin and long, black Frito fingernails, and can’t move on her own unless it’s convenient to the over-complicated story. She has a face, an appearance, and a smell only a mother can love, apparently.

Before Katie disappeared, the Cannons were expecting another baby. When Katie returns, she has a sister named Maud (Billie Roy). Maud starts off as this kind of cute, harmless kid who turns into an absolute hellion. What she does with teeth is disgusting. The funeral reception sequence, which is where Maud’s tooth obsession culminates, may be the most nauseating and outrageous scene in the film.
Evil Dead Rise was written and directed by Lee Cronin in 2023. His experience of dabbling in a Sam Raimi-created franchise must have left its mark because Lee Cronin’s The Mummy remorsely borrows from Raimi’s work at every opportunity. The film is over two hours long and would be nothing without its reliance on nasty gore. The musical score sounds like a herd of stampeding elephants and viciously assaults your eardrums constantly.
Miserable And Excessive

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy isn’t scary or memorable; it’s raunchy exploitation and over-orchestrated expired cheese. It is a horror film that reeks of nothing but ridiculousness. The sad part is there’s a decent enough concept buried somewhere within this vomit-drenched monstrosity and a killer ambiance that is borderline spine-tingling.
But there’s nothing original here other than influence overkill. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is like dunking a grenade in a bucket of gasoline, throwing that grenade in a clown car, and witnessing an entire circus melt, crackle, and explode as you try to piss to put it out. It is miserably and excessively grotesque.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy barfs its way into theaters on April 17.
