Taylor Sheridan’s 2 New ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-Offs Duke It Out on Paramount+ for the #1 Spot
Close to ten years since Yellowstone first premiered, the hit neo-western is now a full-fledged franchise with multiple hit spin-offs. Back in 2018, when it began airing, the Taylor Sheridan-created series was a surprise ratings hit despite the mainstream television audience having no idea it existed. But now it’s harder to ignore this universe when the mothership is still one of the most-watched shows on Paramount+ and on PVOD, while two new spinoffs have launched and are already ruling the airwaves.
March 1 marked the return of the Yellowstone universe, with Luke Grimes returning as Kayce in the universe’s first broadcast procedural, Marshals. After selling the ranch to Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and the Native community, Kayce runs a smaller ranching operation until a tragedy strikes, forcing him to make a change in his life. He joins the US Marshals and helps his SEAL buddy Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green) navigate Montana’s landscape and culture. A few months later, Dutton Ranch joined the roster, but at Paramount+ and Paramount Network. The show follows Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser‘s characters as they also move on from the Yellowstone to start their own ranching business. Both shows have been wildly successful, but one has outpaced the other in terms of raw viewership.
Marshals is the most-watched Yellowstone spin-off, with CBS ratings reporting 20 million viewers in 7 days of availability. That has made the show the most-watched new series and the most-watched series overall, surpassing Tracker. A good portion of that audience is live viewers, but the show also performs well on streaming platforms. Meanwhile, Dutton Ranch broke Paramount+’s record for having the most-watched premiere ever with 12 million viewers over the same period. Streaming data from FlixPatrol shows that Dutton Ranch is the most-watched on streaming, while Marshals has started slipping. This is to be expected when Marshals wrapped up its freshman run last week, while Dutton Ranch recently began its freshman run. Still, both shows are just getting started.
The ‘Yellowstone’ Universe Will Continue
With such viewership numbers, the fate of these shows is a no-brainer, and both have been renewed for a second season. Marshals will continue its run on CBS while Dutton Ranch will remain at Paramount+. The beauty of this is that Sheridan is not involved with writing either show, so they will return faster than if he had to be involved with every single script. Marshals was created by Spencer Hudnut, who also serves as the showrunner. Dutton Ranch was created by Chad Feehan, who also served as the showrunner for Season 1 prior to his firing. No showrunner for Season 2 has been announced yet.
Stream all three shows on Paramount+ in the US and stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Kit Harington Shares Sad Update On ‘GOT’ Cast
Kit Harington has shared a candid update on his relationship with his former castmates from the hit TV series “Game of Thrones.”
The final episode of the iconic show aired in 2019, and Harington has now revealed that many of the cast members have largely lost touch in the years since the show ended.
From 2011 to 2019, Harington and his “Game of Thrones” co-stars captivated audiences across eight seasons, helping turn the fantasy drama into one of television’s most iconic series.
Since the show’s conclusion, many of the cast members have pursued new projects. Harington himself has remained active with roles in productions including the financial thriller “Industry.”
The passage of time has also changed some of the relationships forged during the show’s run, as Harington revealed when former co-star Peter Dinklage asked whether he still keeps in touch with members of the cast.
“With Emilia [Clarke], yes, because she’s just down the road,” Harington shared during the interview. “But there’s an element of school leavers to it. We finished the thing, the magic is gone, and everyone has to separate.”
Harington and Dinklage were speaking as part of Variety’s Actors on Actors series.
The Actor Says Everyone Needed Some Space

Beyond keeping in touch with Clarke, Harington revealed that he still speaks with several other former castmates, including John Bradley, Richard Madden, and Alfie Allen.
He also suggested that the distance between many of the cast members was a natural consequence of spending so many years together.
“I think we were all quite desperate — we just had to get on with life. We had so much time together that actually, we needed some [space],” the actor noted.
On his part, Dinklage reflected on how nice it was to finally be in the same room with Harington again after so many years.
“We still have all those AI photos online of all us together at barbecues. Good to see you, man,” Dinklage said.
Kit Harington Explains His Return To Television

As part of the conversation, Harington’s role in the financial thriller “Industry” also came up. The actor portrays Sir Henry Muck in the series.
When asked how he joined the show, Harington explained that he initially stepped away from television to take a break from long-form character arcs.
He said, “I decided I didn’t want to do any other TV characters for a while. Then I turned and said to my manager, ‘I feel like I’m ready to take on a character arc again. I miss it.’”
He added that he was already a fan of the series and immediately connected with creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay.
“Industry” is one that I’d been watching. And the writers, when I met them, reminded me a lot of [‘Game of Thrones’ creators] David Benioff and Dan Weiss,” he shared.
Harrington Compares Sir Henry Muck To Jon Snow
Although he already admired the show’s writers, Harington admitted that his connection to Sir Henry Muck deepened once he began portraying the character.
“I came in and played this character that had a lot of pain there, but there’s a lot of humor. I was like, ‘This is the kind of thing I’ve been looking for, in the shape I’ve been looking for it,’” he said.
Comparing the role to Jon Snow, the character that made him a household name, Harington highlighted one major difference that made the experience more enjoyable.
“The trouble for me with Jon Snow was that I couldn’t, for many years, be lighter,” the actor explained, referencing the multiple layers of clothes he often wore for his “GOT” role.
Kit Harington Has A New Concern About Nude Scenes

In “Industry,” Harington appeared in several intimate scenes, something he revealed has also been true of several of his recent projects.
While he understands that such moments can serve a purpose in storytelling, the actor admitted that he has started reconsidering them because of his two children with his wife, Rose Leslie.
“I’m weirdly doing a lot of nudity at the moment, and sex scenes,” he shared.
“The more I do it, the more I think, ‘I think I should stop.’ I’ve got to start thinking about my kids, like, ‘Why is Daddy always naked on-screen?’” he added.

Love Island USA’s Bryce Was Bullied for Being Good Looking
Love Island USA‘s Bryce Alakai Dettlof made a surprising revelation regarding his appearance in the newest episode of the show.
During the Sunday, June 7, episode, Trinity Tatum asked Bryce if he had “an ugly face growing up.” Bryce surprised her — and Us — by opening up about how he dealt with quite the opposite.
“No, I looked like a girl,” he said. “But it is funny because all the girls liked me.”
Bryce shared a specific story from his childhood.
“I remember in middle school, I was in 7th grade and there was a girl in 8th grade who was the hottest girl in all the school,” he added. “She came up to me and told me I was the cutest guy ever.”
He continued, “All the guys hated me and started bullying me for it. All the guys used to bully me because they thought I was better looking.”
Bryce isn’t the only one to share a surprising story in the villa. Earlier in the week, the Islanders had to read out sex facts and figure out which of them it was about. One of the revelations was that an Islander slept with someone in their 50s.

“I was out and I was having a good time with my friends. She started talking to me and she was hot as f*** for her age,” Gabriel Vasconcelos, who is 26 years old, said about his encounter with the 52-year-old. “We had a good night together. She had a lot of experience.”
Gabriel’s sexual history was then joked about when narrator Iain Stirling compared him to a “reverse Leonardo DiCaprio” due to the actor’s dating history. In addition to Gabriel and Bryce, season 8 of Love Island USA features Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Bryce Alakai Dettloff, KC Chandler, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Sean Reifel, Trinity, Corbin Mims, Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou.
The Peacock show was also meant to feature Vasana Montgomery, who was cut from season 8 of Love Island USA after resurfaced social media posts showed her using a slur. Vasana was removed from the show before she got a chance to enter the villa. Both clips were leaked from her private social media, which meant producers weren’t privy to the posts while casting the season.
“I want to address a couple videos from my teen years that have recently resurfaced,” she wrote via her Instagram Story this month. “In those videos, I used a racial slur. I am embarrassed and disappointed by my words.”
Vasana noted that she wanted to take accountability for her actions.
“I take full responsibility for what I said and understand why it has hurt and upset people,” she continued. “Since then, I have grown a lot as a person and taken the time to educate myself, listen, learn, and better understand the impact that language can have.”
She added, “That growth does not erase my mistake, and 1am not asking anyone to excuse it. I believe people should be held accountable for their actions, but I also believe in growth, learning, and becoming better. To anyone I hurt or disappointed, I am truly sorry.”
New episodes of Love Island USA are released six days a week — except for Wednesdays — on Peacock.

Forget ‘Severance,’ Apple TV’s Sci-Fi Masterpiece Is the Perfect Weekend Binge Ahead of Season 3
Time is ticking ever-closer to Dunesday, as arguably the two biggest franchise releases of the year arrive in theaters on the same day. On December 18, the star-studded Avengers: Doomsday will be joined by Dune: Part Three as it makes its global debut, with the latter expected to be a decade-defining sci-fi spectacle. The final installment in Denis Villeneuve‘s acclaimed adaptation of Frank Herbert‘s Dune novels, Part Three boasts an eye-catching cast, including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Anya Taylor-Joy, and more.
For Ferguson fans, the release of Dune: Part Three might mark her most exciting project of a stacked year, but there is the small matter of her genius sci-fi series’ return to attend to in the meantime. On July 3, 2026, Silo, Apple TV’s genius sci-fi hit based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy (Wool, Shift, and Dust), will return for a hotly anticipated third season that promises plenty of twists and turns. Boasting a total of ten episodes, Silo will release throughout the summer, starting on July 3 and continuing every Friday through September 4. A certain must-watch while Apple TV subscribers continue to wait for Severance Season 3.
The Emmy Award-winning Graham Yost series has already become a favorite for Apple TV subscribers, with the second season earning rave reviews. “Silo continues to surpass the genre, asking viewers to question not only the motives of those in power but the strength of their convictions,” wrote Tania Hussain in Collider’s review of Season 2, with nothing but near-perfection expected again for Season 3. Ahead of the next installment, and following the release of a trailer, Silo has returned to the streaming charts, officially ranking as one of the ten most-streamed titles on Apple TV in the U.S.
Rebecca Ferguson Has Already Had a Busy Year
Although the return of Silo and the arrival of Dune: Part Three might be her most exciting projects of the year, Ferguson has already been very busy in 2026. She began the year with Mercy, an AI-based sci-fi thriller that co-starred Chris Pratt, and, although it faced mixed reviews from critics, the film has since become a huge streaming success. Then came a role in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the huge Netflix phenomenon that saw Cillian Murphy make his final bow as Tommy Shelby, before Ferguson starred as the villainous Dame Snap in the fantasy adaptation The Magic Faraway Tree, which has so far received near-perfect reviews.
Silo Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Apple TV. Stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.

Luke Evans Stuns Tonys With Performance Fans Can’t Forget
Luke Evans turned one of Broadway’s biggest nights into a social media frenzy when he took the stage at the Tony Awards and delivered a performance that instantly became one of the ceremony’s most talked-about moments.
The actor, currently starring in a revival of “The Rocky Horror Show,” stunned viewers with a daring costume choice while performing the show’s iconic anthem “Sweet Transvestite.”
Within minutes, fans flooded social media with reactions ranging from shock to admiration.
Luke Evans appeared during Sunday’s ceremony at Radio City Music Hall as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the flamboyant character immortalized by Tim Curry in the 1975 film adaptation of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
The performance centered on “Sweet Transvestite,” one of the musical’s most recognizable songs and a fan favorite for decades.
While audiences knew Evans would be taking on the role for the Broadway revival, many were unprepared for just how far he would lean into the character during the televised performance.
The 47-year-old made a dramatic entrance before turning toward the audience and cameras in a revealing costume featuring fishnet stockings and a jockstrap thong.
The look quickly became one of the defining images of the night and immediately set social media ablaze.
For many viewers, Evans’ interpretation stood apart from previous versions of the role and gave the classic character a distinctly modern edge.
Evans’ Costume Sparks A Flood Of Online Reactions
Almost as soon as the performance aired, social media users began sharing stunned reactions. One viewer joked per the Daily Mail, “Did not have Luke Evans showing full hole in a jockstrap thong at the Tonys on my 2026 bingo card.”
Another praised Luke Evans’ confidence, writing, “Luke Evans said: ‘we’re going a size smaller for tonight’s jockstrap’ to his dresser. And I commend him for it. Show it off, honey.”
Others appeared shocked that the outfit made it onto a nationally televised awards show.
“I didn’t know he’d be able to wear the jockstrap on national television UGHHHH LUKE EVANSSSSS STEP ON ME,” one fan posted.
Another viewer laughed, “I can’t believe they didn’t find a way to censor Luke Evans’ costume for this TV performance.”
Luke Evans Swapped His Red Carpet Elegance For A Much Bolder Look
The stage costume was in sharp contrast to the polished appearance Evans had showcased earlier in the evening.
Before taking the stage, the singer walked the red carpet in a classic white tuxedo alongside his boyfriend, Spanish entrepreneur Fran Tomas.
The elegant appearance gave little indication of the eye-catching performance that would follow later in the evening.
Although many younger fans know Evans primarily through his film work, the Hollywood star’s background is deeply rooted in musical theater.
Before becoming a Hollywood star, he built a successful stage career through productions in London’s West End, appearing in major musicals including “Rent” and “Miss Saigon.”
That theatrical experience ultimately brought him back to Broadway for “The Rocky Horror Show” revival, where he has earned acclaim for his take on Frank-N-Furter.
Evans Earned A Major Tony Nomination For His Performance
Luke Evans’ work in “The Rocky Horror Show” earned him a nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical at Sunday’s ceremony.
However, the award ultimately went to Joshua Henry for “Ragtime.” Other nominees included Brandon Uranowitz, also for “Ragtime,” Sam Tutty for “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York),” and Nicholas Christopher for a revival of “Chess.”
Despite missing out on the trophy, Evans remained one of the evening’s most discussed performers thanks to his unforgettable musical number.
His journey to Broadway recognition follows years of success on the big screen, during which he became known worldwide for portraying Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” trilogy.
He later expanded his profile further by playing Gaston opposite Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in Disney’s live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast.”
Luke Evans’ ‘Rocky Horror’ Revival Faced Tough Competition Throughout The Night

Evans was not the only member of “The Rocky Horror Show” company recognized during the ceremony.
Co-star Stephanie Hsu received a nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Janet, a role famously played by Susan Sarandon on screen. Hsu ultimately lost to Caissie Levy for “Ragtime.”
The category also featured Christiani Pitts for “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York),” Sara Chase for “Schmigadoon!,” and Marla Mindelle for “Titanique,” the musical parody built around Celine Dion’s songs.
Meanwhile, “The Rocky Horror Show” itself competed for Best Revival of a Musical. The production ultimately fell short against “Ragtime,” which enjoyed one of the strongest nights of the ceremony.
The revival category also included “Cats: The Jellicle Ball,” a reimagined version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic that pays tribute to queer Harlem ballroom culture.

‘The Odyssey’ Is Officially Christopher Nolan’s Most Expensive Movie in 14 Years
The season of the summer blockbuster is officially here, and while The Mandalorian and Grogu didn’t get the ball rolling as well as Disney would have liked, Masters of the Universe is here to kick things off this weekend. One of the most anticipated movies of the summer comes this week, when Steven Spielberg officially returns to the world of sci-fi for his next epic, Disclosure Day, which stars Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor. Fans could argue for days about which summer 2026 movie is going to be the biggest, and while Spider-Man: Brand New Day may yet finish with the highest box office total, The Odyssey is guaranteed to turn heads. The new historical epic hails from Christopher Nolan, who recently swept the Oscars for his work writing and directing 2023’s Oppenheimer.
After starring in a key supporting role in Oppenheimer, Matt Damon has been promoted to the lead figure in The Odyssey, which also stars Chris Nolan newcomer Tom Holland. Between his work in The Odyssey and Brand New Day, Holland could easily add another $2 billion to his already impressive box office total. News broke earlier this week that The Odyssey has a runtime of 2:52, making it one of the longest movies of Nolan’s career, behind the three-hour epic, Oppenheimer. Further developments just yesterday revealed that the film carries a $250 million budget, which is Nolan’s most expensive film since The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. This gargantuan budget leaves The Odyssey with a break-even point of just over $500 million, but after Oppenheimer fell just short of $1 billion, there’s no reason to bet against Christopher Nolan right now.
Who Else Stars in ‘The Odyssey’?
In addition to Matt Damon and Tom Holland, who star in the father-son duo roles of Odysseus and Telemachus, Christopher Nolan has assembled one of the most impressive casts in movie history for The Odyssey. Also billed in lead roles in The Odyssey are Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Lupita Nyong’o as both Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, Zendaya as Athena, and Charlize Theron as Calypso. The star power doesn’t stop there, though, as Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, Elliot Page, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Ryan Hurst, Himesh Patel, James Remar, and Bill Irwin have all been tapped for roles in the film as well. The film is adapted from the famous fictional story by Homer.
Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of The Odyssey, which is coming to theaters on July 17.

Euphoria’s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Defends Bishop, Alamo Betrayal
Some Euphoria viewers were shocked by Bishop’s fatal decision to ultimately betray his boss, Alamo — but when did he start to turn on the crime lord?
“This is just my own conjecture. I think for Alamo, when you’re in the hot seat, you know you’re always aware that people are snapping at your heels. People want that seat, people want what you have,” Akinnuoye-Agbaje, 58, exclusively told Us Weekly. “I think he’s always aware that he could have a challenge that is par for the course for being the boss or the emperor.”
Akinnuoye-Agbaje noted that Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson) was always someone Alamo second guessed, adding, “He’s always slightly paranoid about perceived or unperceived threats.”
The actor pointed to the scene where Alamo and Bishop were with Maddy (Alexa Demie).
“It surfaced there — even though it may not be written subtextually. Bishop talks in riddles and you could see that Alamo is frustrated,” he noted. “The frustration comes off, like, ‘Why are you not telling me the truth about this?’ I think there’s an inkling.”
Akinnuoye-Agbaje clarified it was only a theory, adding, “It’s just a general perceiving of threats around him for being the top of the throne — and he may have thought Bishop at one point may want it because he’s always with him. Bishop is always the guy with him everywhere.”
During the May 31 series finale, Bishop had a hero moment when he helped Ali (Colman Domingo) avenge Rue’s (Zendaya) death by removing bullets from Alamo’s gun moments before an appropriate, Western-style showdown.

Britt-Gibson, 39, previously shared his thoughts on the twist.
“I wasn’t aware, at first when I began filming, but I was made aware of it probably midway through filming,” he told TVInsider. “And I just thought it was so beautifully done.”
Britt-Gibson said the narrative choice made sense, adding, “At that point, it felt very much in line with what Bishop would do, in my opinion. And so it felt very organic that that was gonna happen. When we actually got to film it, nothing about it felt like a shock or a surprise to me.”
After Alamo’s death, Bishop also moved in on Maddy — whom his boss was previously interested in.
“I’m dead at that point so I didn’t see nothing,” Akinnuoye-Agbaje quipped to Us. “That’s the exciting part. We throw it out and then it’s for you guys to create your own theories and move it in your head. I’m dead. I don’t care. I’ll haunt both of them.”
Akinnuoye-Agbaje did take the opportunity to reflect on whether Alamo and Maddy would have made it.
“He realized he has everything but nothing. He had this wonderful moment of self-reflection — this epiphany that he had been exploiting women all this time — and now he wanted to surrender to them,” he continued. “He mistakenly — or rightly — thought that, ‘OK, Maddy, you’re The One.’ But obviously when push comes to shove — excuse the pun — he threw her out the window and used her as a bulletproof shield.”
Despite his interest in Maddy, Akinnuoye-Agbaje didn’t see it lasting long.
“He was always going to be about himself first,” he told Us. “That is the man. So would they have had a future? I think he would have tried. They would have had their cocoa colored babies, perhaps. But I think anytime he was under threat — his empire or his life — he would have sacrificed her in a minute as we saw in the showdown.”
Euphoria is currently streaming on HBO Max.

Nithya Raman Leapfrogs Spencer Pratt in L.A. Mayoral Race
Democrat Nithya Raman has overtaken Republican Spencer Pratt to secure second place in the primary race for Los Angeles’ next mayor.
After the latest round of ballots were counted on the evening of Sunday, June 7, the Los Angeles City Council member, 44, leapfrogged Pratt, 42, to sit just behind incumbent Karen Bass. Prior to Sunday’s count, Raman had been trailing behind the Hills alum by a considerable margin.
Raman currently holds 27.12% of the vote at the time of publication, compared to Pratt who holds 26.69%. Bass, 72, is meanwhile holding strong with 34.68% of the vote. (The results have already cemented Bass’ place in the November runoff for L.A. mayor.)
While Pratt looked likely to advance his bid, finishing in third place would knock him out of November’s showdown.
Raman exclusively told Us Weekly on April 30, via a “Nithya for Mayor” spokesperson, that she condemned Pratt for filming part of his own campaign outside her home.
“Filming outside my home, where I live with my young children, feels unnecessary and reckless,” the spokesperson said at the time. Pratt’s campaign included an advertisement that saw him visit the homes of both Raman and Bass to provide insight into each candidate’s unique living situations. (Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, have lived in a trailer with their two children since losing their home in the 2025 Palisades wildfires.)

Pratt had declared in the controversial ad, “This is where Mayor Bass lives. Notice something? Or here, where Nithya Raman’s $3 million mansion sits? They don’t have to live in the mess they’ve created.”
In a June 2 primary, Bass advanced to November’s general election. While Bass has refrained from publicly commenting too much on Pratt, she did comment on Raman during a Politico event in May. “I question her ability to lead the city when she struggles being a member of the city council,” Bass said at the time.
Pratt announced his candidacy one year after his family lost their home in the wildfires.

Spencer Pratt Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images
“The system in Los Angeles isn’t struggling; it’s fundamentally broken,” Pratt declared during the “They Let Us Burn” public demonstration that announced the campaign. “It is a machine designed to protect the people at the top and the friends they exchange favors with while the rest of us drown in toxic smoke and ash. Business as usual is a death sentence for Los Angeles, and I’m done waiting for someone to take real action.”
He exclusively told Us Weekly in a May 27 cover story that he had never predicted he would be running for mayor.
“I truly never imagined I would actually, probably [become] the mayor,” he said. “I just wanted somebody to [tell] the truth, and I wanted to have that platform as a candidate against [Bass] to get the truth,” he said at the time.

Everything from 2026 Tony Awards You Didn’t See on TV
The 2026 Tony Awards started with a bang — meaning a 170-person strong opening number featuring first-time host Pink, Neil Patrick Harris, Megan Thee Stallion and many, many more singing a parody number of Pink’s hit “Lady Marmalade.”
The three-hour CBS telecast of the Tonys was just beginning, but for ceremony participants at Radio City Music Hall it has already been an action-packed day on the blue carpet.
Keep scrolling for eight things viewers at home didn’t see on the Tonys telecast, complete with intel from the hours-long carpet, backstage media room and more.
1. Whitney Leavitt – who performed at the Tony Awards as part of a 30th anniversary celebration of Chicago – introduced herself to *NSync’s Joey Fatone and JC Chasez (who walked the carpet together), telling them she’s a big fan and introducing the singers to her husband, Conner Leavitt.

2. Unlike at the Oscars — when celebrities tend to arrive in cars, step out and immediately hit the carpet — the Tonys had a little traffic jam where everyone doing the carpet first had to wait in a roughly 45-60 minute line. Yup, even VIP nominees like Daniel Radcliffe, Carrie Coon and Jim Parsons all had to wait in the outside heat. Naturally, it turned into a catch up fest!
3. Remember their names! Best Choreography winners Omari Wiles and Arturo Lyons drew press room cheers when they announced a dream project: a revival of Fame.
4. John Lithgow won his third Tony for his performance as Roald Dahl in the play Giant, which deals with anti-semitism. “It ends with a moment that is inexplicably horrible,” Lithgow explained to reporters in the media room after his win, referring to a real-life phone call Dahl had with a reporter. “My challenge was always motivate that last moment, [to] try to help people understand where that kind of cruelty comes from, because in my mind that’s exactly what the play is about. … [There’s so much] cruelty of all kinds, hatred of the other. These are things that we’re dealing with these days, and I think that’s what makes Giant so important and what’s made it such a success.”
5. Julia Louis-Dreyfus had a red carpet chat with Vogue’s Anna Wintour. Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer was a fan – she introduced herself to Dreyfus on the carpet.
6. Pink knows how to get a party started, but so does Usher — who brought his own drink to the afternoon carpet.

7. Alden Ehrenreich won his first Tony for his role in the play Becky Shaw as a Nice Guy boyfriend who turns out to be something far more sinister. In his telecast speech, he talked about his mom’s support. Speaking to press after, he discussed more about her role in his life.
“She’s an artist and she used to quote her grandfather, [who] used to say, ‘It takes the same energy to dream big as it does to dream small,’” he said. “So anytime I come home, like, ‘Oh, I want to open an ice cream stand,’ she’d be like, ‘You could create a worldwide franchise.’ She just would encourage and champion every instinct that she saw [in] my penchant toward make believe and dressing up. She exalted that from the first second and made me feel like I could do anything.”
8. Darren Criss, who won a Tony last year for Maybe Happy Ending, started things off on a positive note with the press and photographers gathered on the carpet, thanking everyone for their time and checking in on how the unfolding event had been going on a very hot NYC summer day. A class act.

Love Island USA Season 8 Eliminations: Who Left the Villa?
In the search to find love, the Islanders on Love Island USA are often forced to depart the villa after failing to make a lasting connection.
Love Island USA follows a group of singles who must pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa. The contestants — referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and earn a shot at the $100,000 prize.
While the islanders are filming nonstop for weeks, viewers are watching daily episodes and casting votes that affect the couples and the fate of the contestants.
Peacock’s popular dating show returned in June with contestants Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Bryce Alakai Dettloff, KC Chandler, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Sean Reifel, Trinity Tatum and Zach Georgiou.
While the Islanders paired off during Day 1, it didn’t take long for those bonds to shift. There was also the arrival of bombshells Gabriel Vasconcelos and Kayda Bosse, who tempted several Islanders to reconsider their connections.
Before viewers tuned in, Peacock issued a message to remind the audience to be kind.
“The Villa runs on good vibes, and so does this community. We love seeing your reactions, opinions, and debates, but everyone deserves to feel safe and respected,” read their statement. “This is a space for fun, not negativity – so keep it kind, keep it positive, and remember: this is LOVE Island!”
Host Ariana Madix has also had to previously issue a message for those Love Island USA viewers who are taking things too far when expressing their frustrations with the show.
“I do want to say something to some of those people who are online,” she said during a June 2025 episode of Aftersun. “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people.”
Ariana questioned the behavior she saw on social media.
“Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things. You still have time to delete all of that because the islanders don’t have their phones,” she noted. “So we are giving you a chance because this is a fun, amazing and beautiful show. We should be thanking each one of these islanders every single day for giving us themselves.”
Keep scrolling who has been eliminated from the villa so far:
Sean Reifel

The (former) police officer was the first to leave after Beatriz chose to follow her connection with Gabriel. Sean formed a bond with Kenzie, but newcomer Corbin Mims picked her as his match first … which left Sean with no one else in his corner.

Pink, Chicago Stars Perform Tony Awards 2026 Anniversary Tribute
Past Chicago stars brought all that jazz to the 2026 Tony Awards to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved musical.
Whitney Leavitt, Julianne Hough, Pink, Queen Latifah, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alex Newell, Adrienne Warren, Dylan Mulvaney and more performed multiple during the Sunday, June 7, awards show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
“And now, ladies and gentlemen, frrom one mother hen to another, the Keeper of the Keys, the Countess of the Clink, the Mistress of Murderer’s Row, Matron Mama Morton,” Queen Latifah, who played the character in the 2022 film adaptation of the hit play, said, before introducing the slew of Broadway stars to the stage.
Leavitt also joined in Tonys host Pink‘s musical monologue, helping to sing a cover of “Lady Marmalade” from Moulin Rouge with other leading ladies of Broadway.
The performance celebrated 30 years of Chicago on Broadway. The original production opened in June 1975 and closed in August 1977. Two decades later, the revival debuted in November 1996. It is currently the longest-running show on Broadway and holds the record for the longest-running musical revival and the longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

In 1997, Chicago won six Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for James Naughton, Best Actress in a Musical for Bebe Neuwirth, Best Direction of a Musical for Walter Bobbie, Best Choreography for Ann Reinking and Best Lighting Design for Ken Billington.
Many of the stars chosen for the 30th anniversary tribute at the 2026 Tonys have significant ties to Chicago. Leavitt, 33, notably starred as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production from February to May, with her run breaking a box office record for the musical’s highest weekly gross in its history.
Newell, 33, also appeared in the Broadway revival of Chicago, previously portraying Matron “Mama” Morton from November 2025 to January.
For her part, Latifah played Matron “Mama” Morton in the 2002 film adaptation of Chicago. The following year, she earned an Oscar nomination for her performance, though her costar Catherine Zeta-Jones ultimately won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Velma Kelly.
Ahead of Sunday’s ceremony, Pink teased the Chicago tribute as she prepared to host the Tonys for the first time.
“The first thing I had to do was see if my hips worked, and they do … sort of,” she quipped in a Billboard interview published on Wednesday, June 3. “It’s not something I ever thought I’d do, and now that I’m doing it it’s really fun.”
She added, “It’s gonna be a medley. I’m doing … something! And it’s gonna be amazing! I’m, like, living out my childhood dreams right now.”
Chicago is not the only Broadway musical that celebrated a major milestone during this year’s Tonys. The original cast of The Book of Mormon — including Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Rory O’Malley and Nikki M. James — reunited to perform in honor of the show’s 15th anniversary.
Rachel Zegler also delivered a special tribute to A Chorus Line for its 50th anniversary, while Leslie Odom Jr. sang “Without You” from Rent to mark the production’s 30th anniversary.
The ceremony also featured performances from this year’s Tony-nominated musicals, The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime and Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show.
