‘Asteroid City’ (2023)
A sci-fi comedy drama written, directed, and co-produced by Wes Anderson, Asteroid City follows a group of students and their parents who have gathered at the titular desert town for the Annual Junior Stargazer Convention in 1955. When certain unforeseen circumstances develop, leading to a military quarantine, it affects the lives of all the people attending the convention. The film’s ensemble cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Jason Schwartzman, Bryan Cranston, Jeffrey Wright, Tom Hanks, Tilda Swinton, Margot Robbie, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, and Tony Revolori in major roles.
Through his hallmark visual and narrative styles, Anderson brings his unique cinematic voice to the UFO sighting myths of the post-war American Southwest. Presented through an electric blend of comedy, romance, drama, and a bit of sci-fi, Asteroid City works like a vibrant vignette about art, grief, and human connection, framed by an inventive meta-narrative. Headlining the summer of 2022, Asteroid City earned critical acclaim with its poignant themes, artistic storytelling, and quirky characters, and it’s widely considered to be Wes Anderson’s best film since The Grand Budapest Hotel.

‘Babylon’ (2022)
Written and directed by Damien Chazelle, Babylon is an epic period black comedy drama that chronicles the rise and fall of several characters in the Golden Age of Hollywood as the industry prepares itself for the transition from silent films to talkies. Centering on Nellie LaRoy, a brash and ambitious starlet, and Manny, a resourceful Mexican immigrant dreaming of making it in Hollywood, the film explores the era of unbridled decadence and depravity that marked a turning point in the industry’s history. The movie boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, with Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo, and Li Jun Li in major roles.
Capturing a watershed moment in the history of cinema through a wild tale of decadence, depravity, and outrageousness, Damien Chazelle pays his most heartfelt and emotional tribute to cinema while simultaneously critiquing its excesses and flaws. The film examines the destructive, rapidly changing, and often brutal nature of showbiz while simultaneously highlighting its magical, lasting power. Even though it met with divisive reviews and reactions on its release, Babylon has been widely praised for the music composition by Justin Hurwitz and is now considered to be a cult film of the decade.
6
‘Nosferatu’ (2024)
Written and directed by Robert Eggers, Nosferatu is a Gothic horror reimagination of 1922’s Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, which in turn is an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. In the film, Ellen, a young woman, accidentally connects with the spirit of a terrifying vampire who becomes obsessed with her, terrorizing everyone in his way as he comes to claim her. Lily-Rose Depp stars as Ellen with Bill Skarsgård as the titular monster. The movie also features Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe in other lead roles.
Gorgeously shot in black-and-white, Nosferatu is a cinematic treat that draws elements and inspiration from German Expressionism, silent cinema, and 1960s/’70s horror. Unlike the classic adaptations of Dracula, Nosferatu is more intricate in its storytelling, diving deeper into the concept, characters, and horror. A remarkable combination of psychological horror and supernatural gore, the movie is Eggers’ highest-grossing and most critically acclaimed film so far, and was widely hailed as one of the best films of 2024.
5
‘Poor Things’ (2023)
Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, Poor Things is a reimagining of Alasdair Gray’s novel, in turn a reinterpretation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. An epic black comedy fantasy, the film follows the journey of self-discovery of Bella Baxter, a woman who is brought to life by an eccentric scientist. Beginning with her life as an infant inside an adult body, the movie follows Bella as she grows into her own person, seeking knowledge, adventure, love, and sexual awakening on a wild globe-trotting romp with a degenerate lawyer. Emma Stone stars as Bella, with Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Suzy Bemba in significant roles.
Fierce and feminine, Poor Things is a delightfully weird take on the Frankenstein story, translated through a woman’s discovery of her freedom and finding her place in a chaotic world. Lanthimos’s unconventional storytelling takes shape through its surreal style, whimsical artistry, and dark, biting humor, not to mention the beautiful cinematography that leaves the audience in awe with every frame. Elevated by Emma Stone’s mystifying and brazen performance that earned her an Academy Award, Poor Things is easily one of the finest films of the 2020s so far.
4
‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ (2022)
An absurdist sci-fi action comedy directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Everything Everywhere All at Once follows the fantastic multiversal experiences of Evelyn Wang, a Chinese-American woman struggling with her business, stale marriage, and complicated family dynamics. During a tax audit, Evelyn suddenly finds herself caught up in a crisis involving alternative universes and is called on to stop an evil entity from destroying everything that exists. Michelle Yeoh stars as Evelyn, with Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis, and James Hong in supporting roles.
A wild sci-fi adventure, Everything Everywhere All at Once fantastically incorporates motifs and elements of everything and everyone that inspired it, from Wong Kar-wai and Mary-Jane Rubenstein to the video game Everything and the children’s book Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. Using strong elements of surrealism, absurdism, and existentialism in its narrative, the film presents a heartfelt story of a woman’s journey of reconnecting with herself. Through this, the film explores broader themes of Asian American identity. Acclaimed for its conceptual and visual magnitude, Everything Everywhere All at Once ranks among the top sci-fi films of the last decade, and it broke several records and earned numerous accolades.
3
‘One Battle After Another’ (2025)
Written, directed, and produced by Paul Thomas Anderson, One Battle After Another is a black comedy action thriller that reimagines Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. The film follows Bob Ferguson, a has-been revolutionary who lives off the grid with his young daughter, Willa. When he is unexpectedly separated from her, Bob is forced to return to his roots and embark on a paranoia-fueled search for his child while dodging a ruthless military officer. Leonardo DiCaprio and Chase Infiniti star as the father-daughter duo, with Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, and more starring in key roles.
One of the most celebrated films of 2025, One Battle After Another balances a high-energy narrative and screwball humor with the intimate parent-child relationship at its heart. Fun and exciting, with strong performances and well-choreographed action pieces, it is arguably one of the most entertaining films of the 2020s so far, and unarguably one of the most acclaimed films of Anderson’s career. One Battle After Another is noted for the phenomenal reception and acclaim it received, earning 458 nominations and 227 wins, including six Academy Awards.
2
‘Flow’ (2024)
The first Oscar-winning Latvian film, Flow is an animated dystopian adventure film directed and co-written by Gints Zilbalodis in his feature film debut. The independent animated movie follows the story of a solitary, anonymous cat whose home gets destroyed by a massive flood, forcing it to seek refuge on a boat. Surrounded by creatures of various species on the boat, the lonely feline is forced to adapt to its new environment and cohabitants. The film is noted for featuring no dialogue, and the movie takes inspiration from Zilbalodis’s previous work, Aqua, as well as the work of French filmmaker/mime artist Jacques Tati and the anime series Future Boy Conan.
A tender, melancholic film with a post-apocalyptic theme, Flow brings nostalgia and hope to the narrative while treating the audience with spectacular, dreamy visuals. Told through the perspective of a solitary cat, the narrative successfully expresses the core sentiments without needing the help of sentimentality or words, speaking volumes in its silence. Flow made history as the most-viewed film ever in Latvian theaters and became the first Latvian film to be nominated at the Academy Awards, where it won the award for Best Animated Feature. It also received the Golden Globe Award in the same category.
1

As the brothers set out to make a new life with new dreams, an evil supernatural entity starts terrorizing the town, threatening their lives. Michael B. Jordan plays the dual roles of Smoke and Stack, alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, Delroy Lindo, and Miles Caton in his film debut.

HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ Series Officially Reveals First Look at Harry on the Quidditch Pitch
HBO’s brand-new Wizarding World just got its tantalizing first look. Revealed via social media and available to view below, Dominic McLaughlin‘s titular Boy Who Lived can be seen donning the red and gold of Gryffindor on a cloak sporting his name and number, holding his Nimbus 2000, and ready to take to the Quidditch pitch, perhaps for the first time. In front of him are a group of students taking to the stands, holding flags from their respective houses. The caption on the post simply reads, “Tomorrow,” followed by a lightning bolt, signifying that we’re getting our biggest glimpse yet at the new series in just 24 hours.
The upcoming HBO adaptation of all seven of the Harry Potter novels is scheduled to debut in early 2027 and has already added several exciting names to the cast. This includes Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, and Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, as well as recent additions Orson Matthews as Oliver Wood, Asha Soetan as Angelina Johnson, Eire Farrell as Katie Bell, D’Angelou Osei-Kissiedu as Graham Montague, Dylan Heath as Adrian Pucey, Cornelius Brandreth as Terence Higgs, and many more.
One addition to the cast yet to be confirmed is Lord Voldemort, with his full-bodied appearance in the series likely not until Season 4, giving the casting team plenty of time. At the moment, the supposed front-runner for the role is Paul Bettany of MCU fame, who is reported to be HBO’s preferred candidate to portray He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. In a recent interview, Bettany said, “I haven’t heard anything about that [playing Voldemort] …. I’m a big fan of the [Harry Potter] IP, and I’m a big fan of HBO, but nobody has called me up about that.”
Reunions Not a Moment Too Soonions — The Collider TV Quiz!
It’s always fun when actors from one show find their way back to one another in a new show. Were these television reunions memorable to you?
Controversy Surrounds ‘Harry Potter’
Of course, the upcoming series is shrouded in constant controversy thanks to consistent comments made by the magical franchise’s creator, J.K. Rowling. These comments have left a shadow over production and caused many in the cast and former stars from the film series to speak out.
Sadly, this isn’t the only controversy surrounding the series, with actor Essiedu, who is portraying Snape, admitting he has received death threats because of the color of his skin in backlash to his casting. Essiedu admitted, “I’ve been told, ‘Quit, or I’ll murder you.’ The reality is that if I look at Instagram I will see somebody saying, ‘I’m going to come to your house and kill you.’ While I hope I’ll be okay, nobody should have to encounter this for doing their job.”

Miley Cyrus Attends Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Premiere
Miley Cyrus turned the clock back 20 years as she hit the red carpet for the world premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special!
The 33-year-old actress and singer shimmered in a silver dress and Hannah’s signature blonde bangs on Monday, March 23, at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.
Cyrus is celebrating 20 years of Hannah Montana with a new reunion special, looking back at the hit show with guest stars including Selena Gomez and Chappell Roan. The special is set to premiere Tuesday, March 24, on Disney+ and Hulu, exactly 20 years after the very first episode of Hannah Montana premiered on the Disney Channel.
Monday’s red carpet event was full of nostalgic moments as Cyrus posed on the red carpet with former Hannah Montana costars Shanica Knowles (Amber Addison), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Ashley Dewitt), Cody Linley (Jake Ryan), Jason Earles (Jackson Stewart) and Moisés Arias (Rico Suave).
Completing the magical night, Cyrus was also joined for the occasion by her fiancé, Maxx Morando, with whom she cozied up on the red carpet, and members of her family. Mom Tish Cyrus, Tish’s husband Dominic Purcell and sister Brandi Cyrus were all spotted on the red carpet.
Cyrus has been cooking up a Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special since last year, she recently revealed to Variety.
“I learned this terrible habit — but I actually think it was good advice — from [godmother] Dolly [Parton],” she told the outlet earlier this month. “She told me that if you want something to happen, promote it before it exists. Then no one can say no. So I just started promoting a Hannah Montana 20th-anniversary special that literally did not exist.”
“I think even Disney sometimes forgets the connection between me and Hannah,” she continued. “It’s not just a TV show. I see daily how important Hannah is to people. When I travel, people bring me Hannah merch. They ask, ‘Are you ever going to do another season?’”

One person who won’t be part of the reunion is Emily Osment, who played the best friend of Cyrus’ Miley Stewart in the hit show.
In an Instagram video on Monday, Osment said she was unable to take part in the special — nor Monday’s red carpet event — because she is filming CBS sitcom Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon.
“We’re at Georgie & Mandy … and that’s why I was not able to be part of the 20-year reunion, because we are here shooting our show,” she said.
Osment added, “But I wanted to say hello and thank you to everybody that has stuck by us for all these years. I’m so grateful that you guys all still love the show. I’m so proud to be a part of it.”

Why Emily Osment Missed Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Show
Hannah Montana fans are getting ready to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary, but one familiar face will be absent: Emily Osment.
The actress, who played Lilly Truscott, the best friend of Miley Cyrus’ Miley Stewart in the show, shared the disappointing news in a Monday, March 23, Instagram video.
“Montana, have you ever heard of the show Hannah Montana?” she asked her Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage costar Montana Jordan in the clip. Jordan responded that he’d “never heard of it,” prompting Osment, 34, to explain that “tomorrow is the 20-year anniversary of the premiere.” (Hannah Montana premiered on Disney Channel on March 24, 2006.)
Jordan, 23, asked his costar, “Where are we at right now, though?” referring to the set of CBS’ Georgie & Mandy, a spinoff of The Big Bang Theory prequel series Young Sheldon.
Osment explained, “We’re at Georgie & Mandy … and that’s why I was not able to be part of the 20-year reunion, because we are here shooting our show.”
She continued, “But I wanted to say hello and thank you to everybody that has stuck by us for all these years. I’m so grateful that you guys all still love the show. I’m so proud to be a part of it.”

In the caption of her post, Osment wrote, “Hannah Montana changed my life, it gave me a lifelong respect for this medium of comedy, it taught me discipline, patience, timing and respect working in an adult space so young.”
“I’ve met thousands of HM fans over the years, fans that now have children watching this show and fans that literally work beside me every day, like Montana. He’s seen every episode, don’t be fooled,” she continued.
Osment went on, “I can’t tell you what your sweet messages mean to me and how lucky I feel to have been a part of this once-in-a-generation goliath of a television show. Thank you for letting me into your living rooms and I hope to still be there many years from now. Would never be where I am without you guys, working on another beautiful show I love so dearly. With all my heart, THANK YOU! ♥️ Lilly.”
During The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which premieres Tuesday, March 24, on Disney+ and Hulu, Cyrus, 33, will be looking back at her hit breakout role in an interview with “Call Her Daddy” podcast host Alex Cooper. Selena Gomez and Chappell Roan will also make guest appearances in the special.
The original series aired from 2006 to 2011 on the Disney Channel and spawned the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Is Yellowstone’s Dutton Ranch a Real Place? Filming Location Explained
With so much focus on the Dutton Ranch in various Yellowstone shows, is the location at the center of Taylor Sheridan‘s hit TV franchise a real place?
Yellowstone, which premiered in 2018, introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family, who own the largest ranch in Montana. As the fictional universe grew, so did the amount of Yellowstone shows located at the ranch, which is actually known as Chief Joseph Ranch.
Rancher Shane Libel and his family previously spoke about how Yellowstone producers scouted the location.
“[Taylor] looked around and said, ‘That’s the bunkhouse right there,’” Libel told TV Insider in 2022. “He started walking around and calling out scenes as he saw them. ‘Episode 1, Act 3 here!’ And an assistant was writing everything down. The location director looked at me and said, ‘I think you have it.’”
In addition to Chief Joseph Ranch, Yellowstone and 1923 filmed in Utah and the real-life Crow Indian Reservation. The Yellowstone franchise, meanwhile, has expanded to include 1883, The Madison, Y: Marshals, The Dutton Ranch, 1944 and 6666.
Keep scrolling for everything to know about the real Dutton Ranch:
Where Is Dutton Ranch Located?
Yellowstone and 1923 were filmed at Chief Joseph Ranch, which is a working cattle ranch in Montana. Libel and his loved ones currently reside on the property that is five hours away from Yellowstone National Park.
Does ‘Yellowstone’ Film on the Real Ranch?

“This is the real deal. This is what makes this show sing, is that this lodge has actually become a character in our show,” Yellowstone set decorator Carla Curry said in a 2021 video while filming the show. “This is not a set. This is not on stage. This is a private home that we are lucky enough to be in.”
She continued: “It is historically an unbelievably irreplaceable home. So we’re proud of it, we want to keep the integrity of it, and we wanna honor our additional cast member here.”
Who Owns Chief Joseph Ranch?
Libel has owned the Chief Joseph Ranch since 2012, telling TV Insider, “We fell in love with it [and] the history, the buildings — just the ranch itself.”
The rancher was on set while Yellowstone was in production. (The main lodge featured on the show used to be a bed and breakfast but has since become Libel’s home.)
“The most surreal thing in the world — and the most humbling thing in the world is when you’re sitting in your own living room watching a show that’s filmed in your house,” Libel said in a 2021 Yellowstone promotional video.
Who Can Visit the Ranch?

During most of 2025, fans could travel to Chief Joseph Ranch before it closed to guests for the winter months. Visitors could stay at guest cabins, which would allow them to tour the location.
The Chief Joseph Ranch offered a Lee Dutton Cabin, the Rip Cabin and the Fisherman’s Cabin — with a nightly rate of over $1,000 for each. Chief Joseph Ranch’s website noted that the Lee Cabin was built in 1916 and overlooks the Bitterroot River.

Taylor Frankie Paul Slams Resurfaced Assault, Says Kid Has To ‘Relive’ Pain
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul is speaking out about the resurfacing of her 2023 assault video. On social media, the reality TV personality said that the clip being reshared online would likely cause significant harm to her three minor children.
Taylor Frankie Paul Speaks Out About Resurfaced Assault Video, Says It Will Cause Harm To Her Children
“Worst part is my daughter having to relive and see it all over again years later, after extensive work with her and apologies to her about that night,” Paul commented on a TikTok video. “And my baby boy birthday was taken from him.”
Paul’s comments come days after a shocking video showing her assaulting her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, was shared online. In the clip, Paul strikes, pulls his hair, and even throws metal chairs at him.
During the incident, one of the chairs hit her minor daughter in the head, which reportedly left bruising.
Paul was arrested and charged with felonious assault following the encounter, and has spoken openly about the situation on “SLOMOW” and in various interviews.
Taylor Frankie Paul Faces Major Consequences Following The Release Of Her 2023 Assault Video
The release of the video led ABC and Disney to cancel what would’ve been the 22nd season of the popular dating show, “The Bachelorette.”
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney spokesperson said.
The cancellation of “The Bachelorette” is a major deal for the network, as they’re reportedly set to lose more than $10 million. Additionally, according to The Blast, the contestants of the now-canceled season are considering filing a lawsuit against Disney/ABC for wasting their time.
Per the report, five of the men are weighing their legal options, considering that they put their lives on pause, quit their jobs, and turned down financial opportunities in exchange for social media fame and C-list notoriety.
Taylor Frankie Paul Previously Defended Her Social Media Use During This Time

Following the release of the video and the cancellation of “The Bachelorette,” Paul has remained on social media, replying to commenters and issuing what appear to be sarcastic statements.
A previous report from The Blast states that Paul was recently slammed online after replying to a “SLOMW” watcher who told her to consider putting her phone down for the time being.
“Want me to stare at the wall instead?” she wrote back in a since-deleted comment, to which one user replied, “Absolutely. The beautiful walls of a luxury treatment facility that she is lucky she can afford.”
Users Clap Back At Paul For Mentioning Daughter In Latest Statement

Several social media users replied to Paul’s latest comment about her daughter, blasting the reality star for appearing tone-deaf.
“I miss when people stayed off the internet for a good few months or years after getting cancelled this bad,” someone wrote, while another said, “Queen of zero accountability strikes again! I’m surprised she didn’t blame her daughter for throwing the d-mn chair.”
A third user chimed in, writing, “Actually Taylor, the worst part is that, that incident happened to begin with, that your daughter will never forget it happened, and that you then continue to be in relationship with Dakota and had a child with him, thereby bringing another child into this unsafe, unhealthy environment and tying yourself to Dakota for the rest of your life.”
Others even called her parenting into question, such as one user, who posted, “Admitting your daughter at 8 years old has enough internet access to find it in the first place is not the own she thinks it is.”
‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Spin-Off In The Works

Amid the drama, a new report from PEOPLE has surfaced, revealing Hulu is working on a “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” spin-off, which will star Jen Affleck and a cast of nine other newbies.
A source told the outlet that production on the series will begin soon in Orange County and will air in the fall. The news of the spin-off comes after production on season 5 of the OG “Mormon Wives” series was paused in March due to an alleged domestic dispute between Paul and Mortensen in February 2026.
