Alaskan Bush People Stars Gabriel and Raquell Brown Separate

Published

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Alaskan Bush People stars Gabriel and Raquell Brown have reportedly separated after seven years of marriage.

TMZ reported on Friday, July 31, that Gabriel, 36, and Raquell quietly chose to end their marriage this past spring and have been living apart ever since. Per the outlet, the couple faced financial pressure as well as differences over Gabriel’s priorities. (They share two daughters and a son.)

Us has reached out to Gabriel for comment.

Alaskan Bush People chronicled Gabriel and Raquell’s courtship once they were introduced by Gabe’s sister Rain Brown in 2018. The former couple tied the knot privately in 2019 and later filmed a second reception to air on Alaskan Bush People the following year.

In that 2020 wedding episode of Alaskan Bush People, Gabriel reflected on what it meant to exchange vows with Raquell in front of the extended Brown family.

“It’s just a wonderful moment. This feeling, it’s everything I ever dreamed of,” he said at the time. “This day is going to go down in the history books as one of the best days of my life.”

As his bride walked down the aisle, the episode cut away to Gabriel explaining, “All of my nervousness, the pre-wedding jitters and all of that, it just stopped as soon as I saw Raquell walking down the aisle. It was like I was coming through a storm on a dark night and all of a sudden I pulled into a nice, safe harbor.”

Gabriel and Raquell frequently charmed fans throughout their marriage with their sweet couples content via social media.

Months after their private wedding, Gabriel penned a loving tribute to his bride, writing, “When two people meet, and two souls touch. In one look, love is felt. As time goes on, and that love grows into something more, becoming hard to describe I call that blessed. That’s what I feel for Raquell. If you have someone like that in your life cherish them, and never give up on them. If not not just hold on. Love will come to you. God bless us all.”

Raquell shared own ode to Gabriel in November 2024 with a heartwarming video where she promised their love would be “always” and “forever.”

Gabriel’s reported separation from Raquell is occurring at the same time as his brother, Noah Brown, is going through a contentious divorce from his wife, Rhain Brown. Us exclusively reported on July 21 that Noah and Rhain’s divorce proceedings have been plagued with disputes over financial difficulties and child custody disagreements. (Noah, 31, and Rhain, 34, share two children — Elijah, 7, and Adam, 4.)

The family also suffered a tragic loss when Noah and Gabriel’s brother, Matt Brown, was found dead at age 43 in May after going missing in Washington days earlier. The family appealed for the public’s help in locating Matt before Bear Brown confirmed that Noah had identified their sibling’s body when it was pulled from the Okanogan River.

“I would ask people to please, please be respectful to my family and to my mom. Please watch the comments that you leave, guys,” Bear, 39, asked at the time. “Sometimes words can hurt more than fists can … In one of [Matt’s] last videos, he was talking about how negative people were on his posts. You guys should keep in mind that people on the other side of your screen, people you are watching a video of, are real people too.”

FX’s 9-Episode Crime Thriller Masterpiece Is Based on a True Story

Published

on

Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland outside next to a brick wall in Season 2 of The Night Agent

The Troubles is among the most significant conflicts in 20th-century European history, but it has been notoriously difficult to turn into compelling dramatic material. While there are plenty of films, particularly in the ‘90s, that used the Irish Republican Army as a plot device or contained them to an inciting incident, studios have been hesitant to take a side in what remains a very controversial era in modern history, and one that still has repercussions today. Say Nothing is a nuanced crime thriller that explores the entire history of the Troubles, using point-of-view characters to offer a personal slant. Although it is by no means an easy series to watch, Say Nothing is also quite affirming, as it acknowledges the human lives that were lost, erased, and profoundly harmed as a result of the violence.

Say Nothing is based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Patrick Radden Keefe, a brilliant writer who has authored several historical texts that have inspired dramatic interpretations. Say Nothing drew inspiration from The Belfast Project, a historical research initiative that interviewed many survivors and participants of the conflict. The Troubles may often be associated with the 1970s, but Say Nothing spans into the ‘80s and ‘90s, using a dual narrative format to explore the lives of characters as they later recount their history. In many ways, Say Nothing is an inverted coming-of-age story; although many of the young IRA members joined at a time before they had matured, they made decisions that would have significant ramifications on both their lives and others.

‘Say Nothing’ Is an Inventive Take on Historical Events

Say Nothing benefits from some of the best performances in recent television history, as the series centers its emotional drama on the relationship between two sisters, Dolours and Marian Price. The Price sisters joined the IRA in 1971 and were involved in several key resistance activities, including the 1973 Old Bailey bombing and the hunger strikes by detained paramilitary members that followed; Dolours is played by both Lola Petticrew and Maxine Peak, and Marian is portrayed by both Hazel Doupe and Helen Behan. The interweaving structure is instructive because it shows the regrets felt by the Price sisters later on in life alongside the enthusiasm and desperation of their youth. It offers a more mature consideration of their actions and how they were coerced; instead of painting the Prices as restless agitators, Say Nothing examines why the IRA was so seductive, and why it was so successful in convincing young people to join its ranks.

Say Nothing offers an even-handed portrayal of history because the series explores the cyclical nature of violence, in which aggression and vengeance only pile up to create a conflict in which there is no reasonable solution. The show offers a visceral recreation of the 1969 Northern Ireland riots, in which Civil Rights activists advocating greater Catholic representation were brutally attacked by the police force, which largely consisted of Protestants. It’s a painful depiction because it doesn’t explore the wider context of the ethnonationalist conflict as it developed over the course of history, and opts to primarily focus on the rage and desperation that compelled so many young people, like the Prices, to get involved in resistance movements. The series is similarly respectful in showing how violence escalated in the coming years as the generational hatred grew stronger; since this wasn’t a formal war held on battlefields, much of the action was done in the shadows, adding more intensity to the depiction of espionage activities.

‘Say Nothing’ Is the Definitive Depiction of The Troubles

Say Nothing doesn’t pull any punches in reflecting upon the consequences of The Troubles, and the series is very critical of Gerry Adams, who is portrayed by both Josh Finan and Michael Colgan. Adams is a critical leader within the early development of the IRA who still holds a significant degree of influence today, having served as the president of Sinn Féin and Member of Parliament for the Belfast West constituency. Although Adams has officially denied his involvement in the case of “The Disappeared,” a group of 17 individuals who were lost and presumably executed by the IRA, the series makes strong implications about his role in the deception and radicalization of the movement. The haunting title cards at the end of each episode, which list Adams’ denials, are another reminder of how justice has been evaded, and how the nuances of history are lost.

Say Nothing is an immersive work of storytelling because it is as emotionally impactful as it is informative, and makes formal choices that help crystallize the most important moments of this era. The story is too narratively complex to be told in a traditional documentary style, but far too dense to have been confined to a single film; Say Nothing‘s nine episodes tell a complete narrative arc that leaves room for the viewer to develop their own takeaways. There will never be just one work of media that can encapsulate a historical moment as vast and complicated as The Troubles, but Say Nothing is worthy of examination, with an interpretation that is as valid as it is riveting.

The Supernatural Horror Movie Stephen King Called the Best of All Time Is Officially Streaming for Free

Published

on

George C. Scott in The Changeling

Iconic author Stephen King has no shortage of opinions on pretty much anything, some more controversial than others. But it’s his opinions on pop culture — television shows, movies, books, and so on — that tend to have more weight, even if they don’t always jibe with popular opinion. Still, when Stephen King speaks on such topics, it’s best to take heed. And one great resource for his top picks is a 2017 interview with BFI, where King listed off his ten favorite films. One entry on that list earned King’s praise as the best supernatural horror of all time, and it’s available now to stream, for free, on Tubi: 1980’s The Changeling.

As King said in the interview: “For supernatural horror, I like Peter Medak’s film The Changeling, starring George C. Scott in perhaps his last great screen role. There are no monsters bursting from chests; just a child’s ball bouncing down a flight of stairs was enough to scare the daylights out of me.”

A Vengeful Spirit Seeks Justice in ‘The Changeling’

George C. Scott in The Changeling Image via Pan-Canadian Film Distributors

Widowed composer John Russell (Scott) finds himself in Seattle, after a cross-country move designed to put distance between himself and New York, where he witnessed his wife and daughter get struck and killed by an oncoming semi. He rents an old mansion from Claire Norman (Trish Van Devere), agent of a local historical society. The house has been vacant for twelve years, she assures him, only that may not be entirely true. Shortly after moving in, John becomes subject to strange occurrences: loud banging; water taps turned on; a shattering window that reveals the existence of a hidden attic; and the discovery of a music box that plays the same tune he played on the piano the night before. Most disturbingly, he sees the visage of a drowned boy in a bathtub.

John and Claire do a search on the mansion’s history, and chalk up the disturbances to the spirit of a young girl, who died on the grounds in 1909. He brings in a husband-and-wife team of mediums to hold a seance, which is recorded on audio tape. The seance is eventful, to say the least, but over the course of it, they find out who the spirit is: not a girl, but Joseph Carmichael. Who is Joseph Carmichael? John uncovers a horrible truth: Joseph was a crippled, sickly six-year-old, murdered in 1906 by his father. Joseph — and his father, by extension — would inherit an enormous fortune upon turning 21, an age he was unlikely to reach. So, in order to gain the inheritance, he replaced Joseph with a local orphan – the “changeling” – and claimed that his maladies had been cured by an extended stay in Europe.

Now determined to bring peace to Joseph, John digs deeper. Literally, by digging a hole on property once owned by the Carmichael family, where he uncovers the skeleton of Joseph, along with an incriminating christening medal buried along with him. John confronts “Joseph Carmichael,” now a U.S. Senator, with the revelation, only for the senator, caught off guard by seeing the medal (identical to the one his adoptive father gave him), to send Police Captain DeWitt (John Colicos) to John’s home. DeWitt attempts to intimidate John into relinquishing the medal, but is forced to leave and obtain a search warrant after John refuses to let him in. Only DeWitt never makes it back, with his vehicle mysteriously overturning en route, killing him. It’s clear that Joseph won’t give up until he gets justice… but can John find it for him?

Stephen King Is Right, and Wrong, About ‘The Changeling’

Stephen King is right, and wrong, about The Changeling. It is an unconventional, excellent, and gripping supernatural horror, but it also stands as a brilliant, detective-style thriller, with an emotional depth that is a rarity in either.

As a horror, the film makes use of its eerie, secluded mansion setting, where the disturbances seem almost expected. It’s largely devoid of jump scares and gore, instead building the horror through unsettling moments and clever camera angles — though the red rubber ball falling down the stairs, landing at John’s feet, or the old, dusty wheelchair that comes to life and chases Claire down the stairs are two of the more prominent examples of the former.

And, in a beautiful, yet disquieting sequence, the camera shifts to the point of view of Joseph, looking down on the seance from above and coming down to make his presence known, a perfect example of the creative eye of director Peter Medak. As a thriller, John and Claire’s work in uncovering the hidden secrets linked to Joseph’s death is engaging, a true mystery with an unexpected twist.

But it’s that emotional depth that sets The Changeling apart. John has no attachment to the mansion. He’s leasing it, and no one would blame him for packing his bags and leaving; it’s even implied that many before him have done the same. Only he’s still grieving the loss of his wife and daughter, so he recognizes something in Joseph’s actions, a plea for help, and finds a kindred spirit – no pun intended – whose agony over his untimely death melds with John’s grief. Ultimately, Joseph finds the justice he was looking for; and in bringing justice to him, John, in one of Scott’s best performances, finds a reason to live. It’s that justice, though, that leads to a bigger question: should Senator Carmichael, who knew nothing of the elder Carmichael’s machinations, have to pay for the father’s sins? The fact that (SPOILER) he ultimately does might just be the most horrifying thing about The Changeling. That, and the possibility that it’s based on a true story.

The Changeling is streaming for free on Tubi.

Nicole Kidman is rumored to be in a budding relationship with wealthy businessman Michael Reinstein.

The pair, who were first photographed together at a luxury hotel, were seen again enjoying a car ride, with the actress all smiles, seated next to her new man.

Nicole Kidman’s new romance comes less than a year after her divorce from country music singer Keith Urban made headlines, leaving many in shock.

As seen in photographs obtained by the Daily Mail, the 59-year-old actress was spotted enjoying a drive through Los Angeles with affluent financier Michael Reinstein on Thursday.

Kidman appeared completely overjoyed, flashing a bright smile from the front passenger seat of Reinstein’s luxury Ferrari 296 GTB, a high-end sports car valued at a staggering $340,000.

According to the news outlet, the Beverly Hills-based private equity executive picked up Kidman directly at the airport in a characteristically romantic gesture following her arrival in LA via private jet.

Having just flown back from New York City after the “Lioness” season premiere, the actress looked stylish in a sophisticated blazer, blouse, and dark sunglasses. Reinstein, for his part, looked sharp in a dapper suit and seemed to be wearing a ring on his wedding finger.

Rumors of Kidman’s new romance with Reinstein intensified after paparazzi photos captured the actress unwinding in Portofino, Italy, alongside the private equity investor. The duo was also spotted spending quality time together at a luxury hotel during the Mediterranean getaway, heavily fueling public chatter that their relationship is serious.

Speaking about the budding romance, a source told the news outlet, “After everything she went through with Keith, she deserves to find happiness.”

Before Reinstein came into the picture, there were rumors that Kidman was being eyed for a romantic connection with MGM Resorts International chairman Paul Salem.

Sources who spoke with TMZ at the time revealed that no formal private encounters had taken place between the pair, even though Salem’s interest in Kidman was well-known to his associates.

An insider further shared with Page Six that the actress is taking a break from the dating pool, stating explicitly that she is not involved with anyone and is dedicating her time to her family.

However, that seems to have changed now with her budding romance with Reinstein, although neither party has officially confirmed that they are in a relationship.

The former spouses, who originally tied the knot during a ceremony in 2006, share two teenage daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 15-year-old Faith Margaret.

Following their shocking divorce news in the summer of 2025, reports surfaced that the Oscar-winning actress made serious attempts to salvage her nineteen-year relationship with Urban.

However, the country music artist ultimately decided to move forward with a permanent separation.

According to official court documents obtained by People Magazine, the legal dissolution of their marriage was very straightforward.

The documents reveal that the actress and her ex-husband mutually agreed to waive all rights to both spousal and child support, with the couple taking financial responsibility for the cost of their respective legal teams.

After seeing the new photographs of Kidman and her rumored boyfriend, close associates of the former couple shared that it wasn’t a surprise to Urban to see his ex-wife moving on, as he has too.

A source explained that “among their friends, it’s common knowledge they’ve both been moving on in their own ways,” the source claimed. The insider noted that the two succeeded at shielding their personal affairs from the media for an extended period.

While recent headlines have centered primarily on the actress’s social outings, the source emphasized that Urban has also been dating under the radar since their separation.

However, the country music icon has taken extreme precautions to evade public scrutiny. He allegedly avoids high-profile venues for his dates and implements strict privacy measures, including requiring romantic interests to sign non-disclosure agreements.

While Urban has yet to directly address his divorce from Kidman, the actress broke her silence on the high-profile split for the first time in March while chatting with Variety.

During the conversation, she emphasized that her current mindset revolves entirely around personal progress and shielding her teenage daughters from the media fallout.

Rather than dwelling on the past, the Hollywood icon explained that she is deliberately channeling her energy into positive environments.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman shared during the interview. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.”

Kidman chose not to elaborate on the specific circumstances that led to the dissolution of her marriage during the chat with the publication.

Instead, she clarified that her silence was driven by a deep desire to uphold the dignity of everyone impacted by the split.

“I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be,” Kidman noted.

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. was searching for confidence, and it suddenly hit him like a truck.

Speaking to reporters at Bengals training camp on Thursday, July 30, All, 25, revealed that a moped, which he described as a “three-wheeled truck,” veered off the street and knocked him to the ground while he was vacationing in Greece last month.

“That was huge for my confidence, you don’t understand, that did a lot of good things for the mental,” he said. “It could have been very bad. That’s what I do. I’m here for the physicality. After not playing for a while, when I got smacked by that thing, and I got up, that is as big of a hit — that’s the first time I ever got pancaked. Ever. I’m like, damn, if I can take that, I’m good. I’m usually the hammer.”

He added, “I got up and was like, ‘I’m f***ing ready. I’m ready.”

All is attempting a return to football after a pair of ACL surgeries forced him to miss the second half of the 2024 season and all of 2025. He played in nine games in 2024, his rookie season, tallying 20 receptions for 158 yards.

All still has a scrape on his face from his accident, The Athletic reported, but added that he feels “100 percent.” Additionally, he has passed his conditioning test and has been fully cleared for training camp, according to the team.

For now, fans can expect All to be the Bengals’ No. 3 tight end, behind Mike Gesicki and Drew Sample.

Quarterback Joe Burrow spoke to the media as well, and expressed his excitement to see All back on the field.

Beloved Arizona high school basketball coach and mentor Ryan Blassingame suddenly died on Sunday, July 12. He was 44.  Blassingame coached basketball at Tolleson High School in 2024, stepping in when the school was “in a pinch,” according to the Arizona Republic. He was expected to help coach basketball this upcoming season at Buckeye Verrado […]

“My dad is a part of me. I have his name. I can carry his legacy,” his son, Timothy Bankston Jr., said.

Tim Sr.’s sister, Karolyn Wright, added, “He was such a beautiful spirit, such a great brother, more than just a basketball coach. More than just a basketball legend. A family man.”

Tim was a member of Simeon’s 1984 state championship team, a group whose accomplishments were marred by the shooting death of team member Ben Wilson that year.

Wilson, who was 17 when he died, was regarded as one of the top high school prospects in the country. His death was the subject of the 2012 ESPN documentary Benji: The True Story of a Dream Cut Short.

“Ben Wilson, him…It’s a lot of ball players up there,” teammate Sean Wright reflected. “They’ll all touch hands again and welcome him home.”

After high school, Tim went on to play one season at Bradley University and two more at Loyola University Chicago.

In addition to his family, Tim is survived by countless players he coached and mentored at T.F. North.

“He was not just beloved; he was a mentor that countless alumni credit for being the overriding influence that made them into the positive, productive members of communities that they are today,” a statement from Thornton Fractional High School District 215 read.

“Not a bad bone in his body,” Wayne Montgomery, one of his former players, added to the Chicago Tribune. “He was so much more than just a coach. A mentor, a friend, a teacher. He touched so many lives.”

Montgomery, now 35, lost his father at a young age and said that Tim had become like a surrogate father to him.

New details have continued to emerge amid the disappearance of Today show coanchor Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie.

News broke on February 1 that Nancy, 84, had been reported missing by a family member who called 911. She was last seen one day prior by daughter Annie Guthrie. (Nancy shared daughters Annie and Savannah, 54, and son Camron with late husband Charles Guthrie, who died in 1988 after a heart attack.)

While Savannah has been absent from the morning show amid the search for Nancy, she and her siblings have since shared several statements via social media.

“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope and we still believe and I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is, that it’s never too late,” Savannah said in an emotional Instagram video on February 15. “And you’re not lost or alone. And it is never too late to do the right thing and we are here. And we believe and we believe in the essential goodness of every human being. And it’s never too late.”

However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated,” she said in a February 4 Instagram video. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us.”

Phoenix Special Agent in Charge Heith Janke shared in a press conference the next day that the alleged ransom note made a demand for 5 p.m. and included an alternate date.

“I think we start to look at what the deadlines were in the note,” Janke said on February 5. “First, I think [it] was 5 p.m. today, and then it had a second deadline after that. So we are continuing in a normal kidnapping case, there would be contact by now trying to discuss that. But those are the time frames we’re looking at as we move forward.”

“If a transfer wasn’t made, then I think a second demand was for next Monday,” Janke continued. “We’re not going to go beyond that.”

Janke mentioned that the ransom note mentioned Nancy’s Apple Watch and a damaged floodlight on her property outside of Tucson. TMZ founder Harvey Levin on February 5 that the outlet received a ransom note that made mention of “the placement of the Apple Watch,” which he noted “has not come out” in the press as yet.

“There was a deadline at 5 o’clock today, and there is a change in — if this is a kidnapper — what the kidnapper may want,” Levin told CNN’s Erin Burnett, adding that a second deadline, set for February 9, “is far more consequential.”

“It felt like somebody means business. When you read it, it’s very detailed,” he said, explaining that the email described Nancy as being “OK, but scared” and said she was “aware of the letter and the demands” made in it.

Levin claimed that “the letter says you will have no way of contacting me — this is the only contact.” In another interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Levin shared, “It specifically says there will be no further communication … no negotiation, no communication.”

After the 5 p.m. deadline on February 5, Camron made a video and said, “Whoever is out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you. We haven’t heard anything directly. We need you to reach out and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward. But first, we have to know if you have our mom. We want to talk to you and we are waiting for contact.”

Savannah Guthrie and Siblings Agree to ‘Pay’ After Ransom Note

Local news outlet KOLD said it received a second message in connection with Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

“The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said in a statement via X on February 6. “Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity.”

“While this is one new piece of information, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI,” Nanos’ latest statement continued. “The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”

The next day, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings then released a video appearing to address the note.
“We received your message and we understand,” Savannah said. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us and we will pay.”

Ransom Note Says ‘Time Is More Than Relevant’

A third ransom note obtained by TMZ appeared to be from someone offering information about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. The note claimed to have unsuccessfully reached Savannah Guthrie and her siblings by email and text. The alleged message read, “If they want the name of the individual involved then I want 1 Bitcoin to the following wallet. Time is more than relevant.”

Ransom Note Claims to Have Seen Nancy Guthrie ‘Days Ago’

TMZ obtained a fourth email on February 16 from the person climbing to know who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie. The alleged email read, “I know what I saw 5 days ago south of the border and I was told to shut up so I know who he is and that was definitely Nancy with them.” The message also had the same Bitcoin account as the three previous ransom notes.

Ransom Note Described as ‘Graphic and Chilling’

Days after the fourth ransom note, TMZ reportedly received another requesting millions of dollars in cryptocurrency. However, the note received on February 18 demanded to be paid in a cryptocurrency besides Bitcoin.

“It is a really sophisticated note. I had to get someone to help translate it for me. It involves a demand for crypto — not Bitcoin,” TMZ founder Harvey Levin told CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront at the time, explaining that the demands are more specific. “The money will automatically go into this account if certain things happen. It actually involves the media, too, in terms of what the media puts out. But it’s a very sophisticated way of doing it where one thing triggers another, [which] triggers another. It’s beyond my level of knowledge.”

Levin described the note as “a little more graphic and chilling,” adding, “The previous one was also pretty chilling, but the way this is described is more so.”

When asked if the new note contains proof of life, Levin replied, “By inference, they do. They don’t say it directly, but by inference, they do, in terms of consequences.” Levin claimed that the FBI is looking into the note.

New Details Revealed From 1st Alleged Nancy Guthrie Ransom Note

In July 2026, journalist Briana Whitney read from the first alleged ransom note during an episode of the “Crime Junkie” podcast.

“Hello, Savannah. We have your mother, Nancy,” it began. “She is safe but scared. She will be held for ransom, and once payment is received, she will be released unharmed. We will be holding her for a maximum of seven days.”

The alleged note demanded millions of dollars in U.S. currency, providing two deadlines.

“Once payment is received to the Bitcoin address below, she will be released within 12 hours of deposit to a safe drop off location back in Tucson,” it continued. “If the payment is not received by the last deadline on Monday the 9th at 5 p.m., she will be killed.”

The alleged letter went on to issue Savannah a warning, claiming, “Your mother is aware of this and her life is in your hands. It is in the best interest of everyone to have this completed as soon as possible. You will not be able to contact me from here on out. There will be no negotiation. Do not play games. Law enforcement will not be able to help you.”

The note allegedly concluded with details about Nancy’s home, including that she “had a white smartwatch that was on the floor near her bed, like at the foot of her bed” and “that there was this floodlight that was destroyed in the backyard.” Whitney claimed at the time that the FBI was still investigating whether the note was real.

Nancy Guthrie Ransom Notes Released by Pima County Sheriff’s Department

In a July 2026 press release, PCSD released two ransom notes sent to local and national news outlets shortly after Nancy’s disappearance. The first was the same one read by Whitney earlier in the month. According to PCSD, it was sent to KOLD-TV 13 News, a local CBS affiliate in Tucson, Arizona, on February 2.

The second ransom note shared by PCSD was sent to KOLD on February 6 and addressed to the “Guthrie Family.”

“We did not fully grasp the seriousness of her physical condition,” the note read. “We never intended to hurt her, that was not our intention. She perished shortly after she was taken. We believe it was heart-related. She is buried in nature now. Nothing you could have done could have changed the outcome. We want your family to know this and hope you all can find peace. We are truly sorry.”

The PCSD asked the public for assistance in identifying the author of the notes.

“These communications reveal distinctive patterns of word choice, syntax, and phraseology that reflect the writer’s unique linguistic style,” the press release read. “They also provide valuable insight into the person’s mindset, motives and the evolution of their tone over time.”

The department added that they believe the notes’ “distinctive linguistic characteristics may be recognizable to someone who knows or has interacted with the notes’ writer. A friend, family member, coworker, classmate, or acquaintance may recognize these patterns of expression and possess information that could help identify the individual responsible.”

31st Annual Critics Choice Awards

Ariana Grande‘s fans are crying out in concern after her latest music video has them believing she has gone too far with her weight loss.

The beloved pop singer has faced body issues since the start of her career as a child and entertainer, often fighting back against unsolicited comments about her physical appearance.

Grande, who is currently on tour, also has her love life sparking chatter after reuniting with her ex, Ricky Alvarez.

On Friday, Grande blessed her fanbase with the music video of her hit song, “Petal,” off her newly released eighth studio album. However, rather than focus on the message of the visuals, admirers of the songstress broke out in lament over her health.

In the almost seven-minute-long clip where the pop star changed numerous times, Grande appeared super slim, perhaps underweight, with her ribs and clavicle evidently on display.

Fans wasted no time addressing her weight loss journey, calling for those around her to intervene before it gets too bad.

“Bro, this is so sad. She’s one of our generation’s biggest talents, and we’re all just watching her die right in front of our eyes,” one fan penned. Another shared a similar sentiment, writing, “This poor woman is fading away before our eyes.”

This user, describing the “POV” artist’s state as “deeply unwell,” expressed worries about her inner circle. “I wish the people around her are taking care of her,” they stated.

Others noted that Grande might interpret the backlash as judgment, but instead, fans just want her to take proper care of herself and not fall victim to beauty standards.

Ariana Grande Is Done With The Way She Used To Be In ‘Petal’

Despite the focus on her looks, Grande’s message about no longer dealing with people’s expectations of her was clear as day in the music video.

In “Petal,” she stars as the character Pepper, who arrives at the Hollywood Walk of Fame to audition to get her big break. A flower is seen on one star, growing. However, when she appears in front of the execs, they dismiss her as “not good enough.”

With each rejection, Grande’s Pepper tries again to audition, and every time she is turned down by the group of men. Symbolic of the title, each time she is denied, the petal from the beginning withers.

In one scene, the men unload on Pepper after a failed audition, telling her, “You give off this feeling that is… It’s unmarketable.” Another said to her, “The way you used to be, I miss that. You got some personality disorder going on?”

Pushed to the limit by their criticism, Grande transforms into a darker version as the scene turns red and she picks up a chainsaw to hack away at the men. Once she’s done, Pepper walks into the waiting area to cheers from other women, after which she heads to a restaurant.

While there, a bloodied Pepper unveils a fortune cookie note with the words, “You bloom wherever you are planted.”

The video, which has garnered almost 3 million views in less than 24 hours, was directed by Christian Breslauer, per People Magazine.

While Grande is yet to address the recent wave of comments, she is no stranger to responding when her body is being dissected.

Last November, the “Wicked” actress took to social media to shut down haters lovingly by resurfacing a previous 2024 interview where she advised caution about discussing people’s appearance.

“I’ve heard every version of it — of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons,” an emotional Grande said as she fought back tears.

As reported by The Blast, she concluded, asserting her new practice is not to pay attention to trolls, as her body was never meant for public consumption.

New Song Lyrics Fuel Frenzy About Ricky Alvarez Romance

When Grande’s physical appearance isn’t making headlines, her love life certainly gets tongues wagging.

The Nickelodeon alum has been riding Cupid’s wave after rekindling things with her ex-boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, earlier this month following her split from co-star Ethan Slater.

The feeling was obvious in the song “Bad Thing (Bunny Hop),’ off her new album released on July 31. As reported by The Blast, in the lyrics, Grande gushed about “a real good boyfriend” and declares, “let’s do it twice,” seemingly referencing her dynamic with Alvarez.

As she continues to share her innermost life with fans through her music, the vocalist isn’t taking it easy on those who try to depreciate her art by leaking it.

According to The Blast, Grande filed a major lawsuit against over 100 persons, accusing them of repeated cyberattacks leading to theft and unlicensed distribution of videos, unreleased songs, private photos, and more belonging to her.

The 33-year-old is seeking relief from the plaintiffs as well as offering a warning to others in the act, urging them to desist.
