Tom Holland Is Gearing Up To Play Fred Astaire

Tom Holland at 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards

Tom Holland has been busy promoting both “The Odyssey” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” but he is already looking ahead to his next major project. The actor revealed that he has begun preparing to portray legendary entertainer Fred Astaire, sharing how he plans to tackle the iconic role.

The update comes as the planned biopic continues to face pushback from members of Astaire’s family.

Tom Holland has been making rounds to promote his two most recent films, “The Odyssey” and the fourth installment in the superhero franchise, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” While talking about the latter, the actor also provided an update about his upcoming project, a biopic focusing on the iconic entertainer Fred Astaire.

The untitled biopic was first announced five years ago, and after years in development, it is finally moving forward. According to Holland, he has begun preparing for his role and has spent some time in the dance studio.

“I did my first few rehearsals recently, and it both filled me with excitement and absolute dread because I’ve got so much work to do to try and do Fred proud,” the actor said on “Good Morning America.

The Actor Wants To Challenge Himself And Refuses To Use A Double

Holland has been dancing since he was 9 years old, and he trained in hip-hop, ballet, and tap. At 12 years old, he was cast in the West End production “Billy Elliot the Musical” and trained in acrobatics and gymnastics to further develop his skills and agility. His years of training provide a solid foundation for portraying Astaire.

The entertainer, who was known for revolutionizing how dance was captured on film, was a perfectionist who insisted on uninterrupted choreography to allow the audience to appreciate his craft.

Holland is up for the challenge and doesn’t want to use a body double for the biopic. “I have a desire to use no doubles, to do all of the dancing, to shoot those dances in one shot, how he would have done it,” the actor explained.

Tom Holland’s Role Was Announced In 2021

The biopic is being produced by Sony Pictures and Pascal Pictures. Paul King, who directed “Paddington” and “Wonka,” has been tapped to helm the movie.

In 2021, “Spider-Man” producer Amy Pascal, who will also produce the Astaire biopic, said she wanted Holland to play the dancer. “There are very few actors working now who are versatile in the way that he is. And he’s the hardest-working person that I know,” Pascal told GQ.

Later that same year, Holland confirmed that he would be playing Astaire.

Fred Astaire Did Not Want Films About Him To Be Made

Astaire began his professional career at 5 years old in 1905 and starred in more than 40 films. He earned many accolades in his decades-long career and is considered the most influential dancer in film history. He received an Honorary Academy Award for his contributions to musical films, and won three Golden Globes and nine Primetime Emmy Awards.

Throughout his life, Astaire repeatedly said that no amount of money would make him sell the rights to his life story. The legendary dancer passed away in 1987 at 88 years old, and according to reports, his last will included a clause that no film about his life should ever be made, as he didn’t want Hollywood to misinterpret his life and career.

While there have been no biopics released about him thus far, he has been the subject of several documentaries.

The Dancer’s Widow Is Against The Biopic

In 2025, Astaire’s widow, Robyn Astaire, sent a legal letter to Pascal and cited the clause in her husband’s will highlighting that his life shouldn’t be depicted on screen. Robyn is determined to respect the dancer’s final wishes and made it clear that Astaire’s estate does not approve of the biopic.

Pascal and Sony Pictures have not publicly responded to Robyn, but according to an insider, the upcoming movie will be based on an autobiography that Sony owns the rights to, as reported by TMZ.

No other cast members have been officially announced for the biopic. Filming is scheduled to begin in January 2027.

Family Guy Spinoff Stewie Reveals Voice Cast Featuring Kenan Thompson and Vanessa Bayer : Coastal House Media

DC Studios Announces Three New Animated Series Including Absolute Batman, Joker: Laugh Riot, and Krypto : Coastal House Media

DC Studios made one of its biggest animation announcements yet during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, officially revealing three brand-new animated series: Absolute Batman, Joker: Laugh Riot, and Krypto. The projects were unveiled by DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran alongside Warner Bros. Animation, signaling a major expansion of the studio’s animated slate.

Each series offers a completely different take on the DC Universe, ranging from mature storytelling to family-friendly adventures.

Absolute Batman Brings DC’s Best-Selling Comic to Animation

Perhaps the biggest reveal of the showcase was Absolute Batman, an adult animated adaptation of the hit comic series from Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta.

Rather than following the traditional version of Bruce Wayne, Absolute Batman reimagines the Dark Knight as a working-class hero with none of the wealth, mansion, or high-tech advantages fans have come to expect. The series will adapt the darker, grounded “Absolute Universe” that quickly became one of DC’s biggest publishing successes.

Scott Snyder will serve as executive producer and showrunner, while Nick Dragotta joins the project as a producer. According to DC, the series asks a simple question:

“When you take away the manor, the money, and the advantages… what’s left is Batman.”

Joker: Laugh Riot Gives the Clown Prince His Own Anime

One of the biggest surprises was Joker: Laugh Riot, an adult anime series being produced with Japanese animation studio SOLA Entertainment.

The premise completely flips the traditional Batman/Joker dynamic.

After Batman is murdered, the Joker launches a violent campaign across Gotham’s criminal underworld to hunt down whoever killed his greatest enemy. As his investigation unfolds, Joker begins drifting closer to becoming a vigilante than a villain, forcing him to question who he really is without Batman.

The series will be directed by Yasuhiro Aoki with Jim Krieg serving as executive producer.

It’s one of the boldest concepts DC has announced in years and marks the company’s newest push into anime storytelling.

Krypto Targets a Younger Audience

Balancing the darker projects is Krypto, a family-oriented animated series centered on Superman’s loyal canine companion.

Created by C.H. Greenblatt (Chowder), the show follows Krypto as he accidentally becomes involved with a group of aspiring criminals. Instead of helping them commit crimes, Superman’s best friend gradually teaches the gang how to become better people.

The series appears aimed squarely at younger viewers while maintaining the humor that Greenblatt is known for.

DC Continues Expanding Its Animation Slate

The announcements demonstrate that DC Studios isn’t relying on a single animation style or audience.

Between mature comic adaptations like Absolute Batman, experimental projects like Joker: Laugh Riot, and all-ages shows like Krypto, the studio appears committed to offering something for every kind of DC fan.

With James Gunn and Peter Safran continuing to build DC’s future across film, television, and animation, today’s reveal suggests animation will remain a major pillar of the new DC era.

Whether you couple it with a pair of jeans, breezy shorts or a flowy skirt, an everyday short-sleeve T-shirt is a wardrobe workhorse. You can find super-affordable options; however, they might not stand the test of time in your wardrobe. Our suggestion? Spend just a little more — not over $30! — and you’ll get a high-quality tee that won’t disintegrate after a few washes.

Women over 40 will especially appreciate these elevated T-shirts, as they’ll wear them on the weekends, under a blazer at work and everything in between. And even if they’re worn on their own, they look more polished because you invested just a little bit more.

3. Calm Cotton: This 100% cotton T-shirt is the definition of quality, but you still won’t spend over $30 for it. The classic crewneck and body-skimming style makes this an easy go-to.

4. Respectfully Relaxed: For something more relaxed, this lightweight Caslon tee offers room without looking sloppy. We like the five solid color options, but the stripes have our heart for summer.

Evolution’ Star Addresses Whether Voit Could Return After That Shocking Season 19 Finale

Published

on

Zach Gilford as Voit in an intense conversation with Justin Kirk as Crowley in Criminal Minds: Evolution

Editor’s note: The following contains major spoilers for Criminal Minds: Evolution

Summary

  • Since first appearing on ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution,’ Elias Voit has evolved from a serial killer to a remorseful ally, aiding the BAU to atone for his crimes.
  • In Season 19, Voit clashes with the unSub known as The Fan, and his tunnel-vision to save his daughter risks repeating his legacy.
  • Elias Voit won’t return in Season 20 but could reappear later.

In his time on Criminal Minds: Evolution, Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) has evolved from a serial killer to the leader of a network of killers, to a broken man no longer considered a psychopath. Rather than just rotting away in the dark corner of a prison, Voit would rather use his newfound conscience to help the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), but how can you atone for your past when you don’t even know where to begin?

At the same time, the BAU is investigating a string of new cases that ultimately wind their way back to Voit. The attention focused on the Sicarius killer and a podcast dedicated to his misdeeds brings The Fan out of the shadows in an attempt to prove he is worthy of the God status he has labeled himself with. The two men eventually clash face-to-face and Voit is left to wonder whether his daughter might become more like him.

After watching the Season 19 finale, Collider got the opportunity to chat with Gilford about playing Elias Voit and whether he could still turn up on the series again in the future. During the 1-on-1 interview, he discussed what it was like to find the dynamic between Voit and James Crowley, aka The Fan, his experience directing Justin Kirk in their scenes together, Voit’s tunnel vision when it comes to saving his daughter, the fun of playing off of an imaginary David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), whether Voit really meant his apology to Penelope (Kirsten Vangsness), shooting the physical stunts in the finale, Voit’s concern that his daughter might take after her father, his favorite scene this season, and whether he might show up on the series again in the future.

Zach Gilford Enjoyed Finding the Voit and Crowley Dynamic With Justin Kirk in ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ Season 19

“I loved working with him. I couldn’t believe I got to direct him.”

COLLIDER: This season, we’ve seen Voit have trouble finding his footing with The Fan. For those moments when you guys were together, did you and Justin Kirk discuss how that dynamic would work, or did you just want to find it in the moment?

ZACH GILFORD: He was creepy. In real life, he’s the nicest, most normal guy. No, we didn’t discuss it much. The episode I directed was his introduction, when he basically came in. I’ve known him, as an actor, since I was a kid. I’ve been a fan of his. And then, when we did the table read, I was like, “Oh, my God, this guy has so much going on.” I’m very much like, “Let’s just show up on set and see what we find,” as opposed to beating it to death. We’re not making a play, so I want it to be alive. He knew his shit and he had a take on it. Selfishly, as an actor, I can do better if I don’t know what you’re going to do and I have to react to it. I definitely learned that doing Friday Night Lights because we did a lot of improv and stuff. You couldn’t just memorize your lines and know exactly how you wanted to say them because you didn’t know what the other people were going to say.

I like not to rehearse, but I tried that when I was directing on the show and people imploded. I was like, “Okay, nevermind. Let’s just rehearse it.” You get so much organic stuff when you don’t know what the other person is going to do. So, no, we didn’t talk about it a lot, especially because of the dynamic between these two people. I’ve never met him before. I don’t know who he is. So, I thought it was good to just come out and be like, “I have no idea what I’m walking into.” I loved working with him. I couldn’t believe I got to direct him. Directing him really just meant that I was like, “You sit at the table here and act however you want to act because it’s great.” There wasn’t a lot of discussion before it. He knew what he wanted to do, and I think he was spot on.

Voit makes the decision to escape in the finale. When he does that, do you think he cares at all about whether he lives or dies, or do you think he’s really just solely focused on what he believes he has to do and doesn’t think beyond that?

GILFORD: I think he’s just so tunnel vision with saving his daughter. I don’t think he really thinks about anything else. He’s said, over the course of the last couple of seasons, “Kill me. I don’t want to live anymore. This is terrible, living with this conscience.” I think he doesn’t really care if he dies, but I don’t think he’s thinking about that. I think he’s just so focused on, “I have to take care of my family. Whatever happens, happens. The repercussions will be what they will be. But this is what has to happen now.”

What has it been like for you to have imaginary Rossi there, especially for this season? Does that help gauge where Voit is at mentally when you have those conversations together, otherwise they would just be very quiet scenes?

GILFORD: Yeah, that’s a good point. It’s great. I know Joe [Mantegna] had a lot of fun doing that because he finally got to mess with me. Over the course of the season, different directors would push him in different directions for how much to play with it. It is a fun thing when you’re a voice in someone’s head. You’re not that person. You’re their manifestation of you. He is my antagonist, and he’s also my sounding board. It’s cool that we have been in each other’s heads because we’re the only people who rival each other intellectually. When you’re gaming things out in your head or strategizing, you need someone who’s as smart as you. It’s fun that these two characters, with me in jail and him out in the world, still find a way to have him be the only person who can challenge me enough to get to the conclusion I need to get to.

How do you feel about Voit apologizing to Penelope? How do you think he feels about her actually having gone to bat for him? Do you think he regrets any blowback she might get from all of that?

GILFORD: I think he means it. In Season 3, he is a new person or is tapped into the good part of himself. This whole season is him reckoning with not just what he’s done, but what he can do to make it better. Season 3 is coming to terms with, “I’ve hurt all these people. I’ve hurt all these families. And not only that, but now there’s the ripple effect of people worshiping me and wanting to replicate me. It’s even worse than I thought it was.” That’s another level of realization for him when it comes to how much damage he’s caused the world.

‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ Star Zach Gilford Got Heavily Involved With the Physical Stunts in the Season 19 Finale

“There was a lot of rehearsal.”

Once Voit shows up and wants Crowley to bring him to his daughter, there’s a lot of fighting and physical work going on. What was that like to shoot? Did you have enough time to shoot all of that?

GILFORD: Yeah, we had enough time. This is where, to be honest, having had the chance to direct on the show actually helped a lot. They had us go for a stunt rehearsal, just to figure that out. And because of the way TV works, you’re always shooting. It’s so fast. Glenn [Kershaw], who was directing that episode, was directing scenes somewhere else and we were just there with the stunt people. They were like, “Here’s the fight.” And I was like, “Okay. Where’s the camera?” I kind of took over a little bit. I went back to set and they were like, “You should see our text chain from the PAs and ADs.” And I was like, “What?” Someone was like, “How’s it going in stunt rehearsal?” They were like, “It’s kind of chaos. Oh, it’s good now. Zach took over and is directing the scene.” I think that’s just because I knew, “Okay, I could just learn this fight, but we have to consider where the cameras are.”

Stunt people are great, but their job is to make it safe and make it look good. And that may be all well and good, but we can’t shoot that. So, there was a lot of rehearsal. Justin was so funny. He was like, “Whatever you want me to do, I’m here. Just tell me, and I’ll do it. I am a puppet. I will do my acting.” And I am such a control freak. I’m like, “No, the camera is going to be over there, and we need to figure this out.” It definitely was a big rehearsal, but it was fun and we figured it out. And then, when we finally shot it, it went pretty smoothly.

Voit tells his daughter that he loves her before he’s taken away. Do you think he would have wanted to sit down and have a conversation with her if he could have, or do you think it was better that he didn’t have that opportunity?

GILFORD: I think it’s better that he didn’t, honestly. I’m a father. My kids are young, but there are things where I’m like, “Man, I hope I never have to have that conversation with them” I hope they just know I love them and I did my best. With everything that he’s done, there’s no explanation. He can’t explain it away. And she knows what he’s done. I think what’s most important to him is just that she knows that he loves her, and he would do anything for her. In spite of everything bad he’s done, he would do anything for her and he needs her to know that.

’Criminal Minds: Evolution’s Voit Is Worried His Daughter Could Become a Monster Like Him

“If he just spawned another monster, it’s the worst thing that could have happened.”

There’s an interesting moment when she says she’s not sure how she feels about what happened and that she doesn’t want her mother to know what she did. She says that she’ll be fine, but there’s a small smile on her face. Do you think Voit is concerned about what his daughter did and what that could turn her into in the future?

GILFORD: Yeah. I think something that’s been lingering in the back of his head for years is, “I hope this isn’t something I pass onto my children.” Seeing her do things, even though when she kills The Fan, it’s in self-defense, there is this moment of, “Was she only able to do that because she has this thing that I gave her, or would anyone have done that?” He sees himself as a monster, and he always saw his children as his salvation. Not as his way to right wrongs, but to be different. And if he just spawned another monster, it’s the worst thing that could have happened.

Did you have a favorite scene or moment this season?

GILFORD: It was definitely the scene with Justin when we were at the table talking because it was like a play. It’s just two people talking and mentally sparring, and he brought so much to it. We basically got that scene in three takes. That was really fun. It was a seven-page scene or something, so you got to get lost in it and just be there. That was really fun. Besides that, I just loved any time Allison [Nordahl] was on set because I’ve seen her grow up over four years. She went from being 13 to 17, or whatever ages she was. She’s grown up so much and she’s going off to college. It was fun to have her around and just talk to her and see how different of a person she is.

Have Viewers Seen the Last of Elias Voit on ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’?

“I do know I’m not coming back in Season 20.”

Have we seen the last of Voit? Will he really not darken the door of the B.A.U. ever again, or might we see him if his daughter decides she likes killing?

GILFORD: I don’t know. Obviously, they didn’t kill me. I do know I’m not coming back in Season 20. But you never know. I hope to be back. I hope the end of his story isn’t just that he’s in a cell somewhere and gone. You never know. But as of now, no one’s talked to me about it. I think they very purposefully did not kill me so that, at some point, if need be, if it makes sense for story, I could show back up.

Resident Evil Official Trailer Reveals Zach Cregger’s Terrifying New Horror Film

5 Actors Who Could Play Freddy Krueger in the New Movie

The nightmare is officially returning.

Earlier this month, Paramount Pictures announced that a brand new A Nightmare on Elm Street film is in development through its new horror label, Paramount Primal. The project is being produced in partnership with the Wes Craven estate and will be based on Craven’s original 1984 screenplay, marking the franchise’s first new theatrical chapter in more than 15 years.

With no director or cast announced, fans have already begun asking the biggest question of all:

Who should become the next Freddy Krueger?

No one will ever replace Robert Englund, whose performance helped make Freddy one of the most recognizable horror icons of all time. Instead, Paramount has an opportunity to introduce a fresh interpretation of the dream demon while honoring the legacy that made the character legendary.

Here are five actors we’d love to see take on the role.

1. Bill Skarsgård

If there’s one actor who has already proven he can reinvent an iconic horror villain, it’s Bill Skarsgård.

His unforgettable performance as Pennywise in IT showcased his ability to transform through subtle facial expressions, unsettling body language, and an eerie sense of unpredictability. Rather than trying to imitate Robert Englund, Skarsgård could create a completely new version of Freddy that feels terrifying for an entirely new generation.

Bill Skarsgård

2. Jack O’Connell

Jack O’Connell may not be the first name fans think of, but that’s exactly why he’d be such an interesting choice.

Whether playing violent criminals or emotionally damaged antiheroes, O’Connell brings an intensity that feels authentic. He could portray Freddy as less of a wisecracking slasher and more of a psychologically disturbing nightmare that haunts victims long before the killing begins.

3. David Dastmalchian

Few actors have become as respected within the horror community as David Dastmalchian.

His performances in films like Late Night with the Devil have shown that he can balance charm, vulnerability, and unsettling menace all at once. Dastmalchian’s unique voice and naturally eerie screen presence could make for one of the most unsettling interpretations of Freddy Krueger yet.

David Dastmalchian

4. Walton Goggins

Walton Goggins might be the wildcard on this list, but he possesses one quality that’s essential to Freddy Krueger: charisma.

Freddy doesn’t simply kill his victims he enjoys tormenting them. Goggins has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to mix dark humor, intimidation, and unpredictability into every performance. That combination could make for a Freddy who is equal parts entertaining and terrifying.

Walton Goggins

5. Andy Serkis (Motion Capture)

Andy Serkis has built an incredible career bringing unforgettable characters to life through motion capture. From Gollumin The Lord of the Rings to Caesar in the Planet of the Apes trilogy and Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Serkis has repeatedly shown that digital performances can be just as emotionally powerful as traditional acting.

Rather than relying solely on practical makeup, Paramount could use motion-capture technology to create a Freddy Krueger whose movements feel unnaturally fluid, distorted, and dreamlike. Serkis’ mastery of performance capture could allow Freddy to move in impossible ways that perfectly fit the surreal nature of nightmares, creating one of the most visually unique versions of the character ever seen on screen.

Final Thoughts

Paramount’s newly announced A Nightmare on Elm Street film is still in the early stages of development, meaning fans may be waiting a while before an actor is officially cast as Freddy Krueger.

Whoever lands the role will have enormous shoes or rather, a burned fedora and bladed glove to fill. Robert Englund’s portrayal defined the character for decades, but every horror icon eventually finds a new generation.

Whether it’s Bill Skarsgård’s haunting presence, Jack O’Connell’s intensity, David Dastmalchian’s psychological edge, Walton Goggins’ sinister charisma, or Andy Serkis’ groundbreaking motion capture performance, each actor brings something unique that could help Freddy Krueger haunt audiences once again.

Joy Behar Jokes ‘Someday’ She'll Have Sex With a Woman: ‘In My 90s’

The View’s Joy Behar is going viral for a lingering kiss with married guest Anson Mount — and their respective spouses are weighing in.

Behar, 83, planted a kiss on the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actor, 53, when he came out for his interview on the Wednesday, July 22, episode, much to the surprise of her cohosts, including Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin.

“I’m old but I’m not dead!” Behar declared after the intimate greeting, while Mount discreetly tried to remove the comedian’s lipstick from his mouth.

Behar noted that the last time Mount was on the ABC daytime talk show, “he brought me flowers for my birthday, and it’s never been the same between us.”

“Well, I got married,” responded Mount, who wed Darah Trang, with whom he shares two children, in 2018.

Behar then quipped, “I know. That’s what I mean.”

Following Wednesday’s episode, Behar took viewers behind the scenes of her impromptu moment on the latest episode of the “Behind the Table” podcast hosted by The View executive producer Brian Teta.

Mount is far from Behar’s first kiss with guests and cohosts on The View. On Wednesday’s “Behind the Table” podcast, Behar shared memories of previous kisses with the likes of Meredith Vieira and X-Files star Gillian Anderson.

“I was very attached to her,” she said of Vieira. “And then Whoopi. Gillian Anderson was my lesbian fantasy at that time, but before that was Catherine Deneuve. The last [kiss] was Jane Fonda — another lesbian fantasy.”

“I’m done with that phase of my life,” Behar went on to quip, adding that she has “no problem kissing women on the lips,” citing growing up in an Italian neighborhood where greeting someone with a kiss was commonplace.

Jennifer Lopez Still Can’t Escape Ben Affleck After Split

Published

on

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez stop by Soho house in Los Angeles

Jennifer Lopez may have erased one of the most visible reminders of Ben Affleck, but moving on has proven far more complicated than changing a tattoo.

Just days after what would have been the former couple’s fourth wedding anniversary, the singer quietly debuted a redesigned version of the ink that once featured Affleck’s name.

Yet despite their divorce, one lasting connection continues to keep Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband firmly in each other’s lives.

Although Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce in January 2025, their lives reportedly continue to overlap because of the close friendship between Lopez’s 18-year-old child, Oskar, and Affleck’s 17-year-old child, Fin.

The two teenagers have reportedly remained inseparable despite their parents’ split, leaving the former spouses with little choice but to stay in touch. An insider told the Daily Mail that their situation is far from what most divorced couples experience.

“Their children keep them connected, they just can’t escape each other,” the insider revealed.

According to the source, Lopez would rather avoid frequent encounters with her ex, but she continues showing up because maintaining the teenagers’ bond comes first.

“She really doesn’t want to have to see Ben all the time. It is a reminder of what they lost, but she would do anything for her kids, so she sucks it up” they added.

That commitment has reportedly led to shared moments throughout the summer, with Oskar and Fin spending time together at concerts, vacations, sleepovers, pool parties, and casual outings.

Lopez was recently photographed joining both teenagers at Ariana Grande’s Los Angeles concert, showing just how intertwined the families remain.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s unique family dynamic is reportedly about to face another test.

Oskar is preparing to leave California behind to study theater at Sarah Lawrence College in New York, while Fin will remain on the West Coast for their senior year of high school.

Rather than letting thousands of miles weaken their friendship, Fin has reportedly begun exploring East Coast colleges, including Bowdoin and Swarthmore, in hopes of staying close.

The transition has also prompted Lopez and Affleck to revisit co-parenting conversations. “Jennifer and Ben have been forced to have many conversations over this as the kids don’t like being separated,” a source explained.

The insider added that the former couple has agreed to fly the teenagers between New York and Los Angeles regularly so they can continue spending time together despite living on opposite coasts.

Long before their divorce, Lopez and Affleck had already blended their families after rekindling their romance in 2021.

The “Marry Me” actress’s twins, Oskar and Max, joined Affleck’s children, Violet, Samuel, and Fin, to form one household after the couple married in 2022, and the transition appeared to bring the siblings unusually close.

According to the insider, Oskar and Fin developed the strongest connection, often coordinating their outfits and appearing together in public.

Even after Lopez and Affleck quietly separated in 2024, the teenagers reportedly made it clear that their friendship wasn’t ending with the marriage.

“Oskar and Fin dug in their heels and insisted they would still be best friends,” the source revealed.

They added that both Lopez and Affleck embraced that decision without hesitation, with Lopez continuing to support the friendship despite the emotional reminders it brings.

Lopez Says Affleck Divorce Forced A Life-Changing Realization

Even as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck continue navigating life as connected exes because of their children’s close friendship, the singer has previously admitted that the end of their marriage ultimately became the catalyst for one of the biggest personal transformations of her life.

Reflecting on the “puzzling” divorce during a June episode of the “SmartLess” podcast, Lopez said she reached a point where she knew she had to stop searching for answers everywhere else and instead focus on herself.

The 56-year-old recalled canceling her tour and stepping away from work so she could, in her words, “f-cking figure” herself out, describing the difficult period as a true “turning point.”

Looking back nearly two years later, Lopez explained that she asked herself, “What is going on with you? Forget about everybody else. There’s nobody to blame here except yourself in a certain way,” adding that the painful experience ultimately helped her grow into a stronger, more self-aware person than she was before.

Two months before Lopez publicly described her divorce from Affleck as a personal “turning point,” the former couple had already begun quietly untangling one of the biggest financial ties left over from their marriage.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reportedly showed the “Deep Water” actor signed over his entire interest in their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion to Lopez without seeking compensation.

The unexpected move effectively gave the singer full ownership of the estate the pair purchased together in 2023, even after months of unsuccessfully trying to sell the sprawling property.

According to the outlet, the change was made through an amendment to their divorce settlement under a “transfer of property among spouses,” with sources claiming Affleck gifted his share to Lopez for free.

Travis Scott Is Still Fighting For A Grammy

Travis Scott has built a remarkable career since launching in 2008, but he says there’s still one milestone he hopes to reach. In a new interview, the “Rodeo” rapper reflected on earning multiple Grammy nominations without ever taking home the coveted gold gramophone. While some artists have distanced themselves from the awards show, Scott says winning a Grammy would still be a meaningful achievement.

Speaking with Variety, Scott, 35, reflected on his new track, “When I’m Home,” possibly being a contender for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards. He created the track for the recent film “The Odyssey.”

“I still need a Grammy, but I would love to take home an Oscar,” Scott said. “That’d be cool.” And while not winning a Grammy isn’t causing Scott to lose any sleep, he said winning one is still a major goal of his.

“It’s not why I do what I do,” he said. “I like to set goals, and I just want to achieve them. I noticed the people that get them always have that like, ‘It doesn’t matter’ [attitude]. To me, the award represents something, and to achieve that would be amazing.”

Other Artists Have Distanced Themselves From The Grammys

Other artists have distanced themselves from the Grammys over the years, including The Weeknd, who, in 2020, slammed the Recording Academy as “corrupt” after his project “After Hours” was snubbed from the nominations list.

“The Grammys remain corrupt,” the musician tweeted at the time. “You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency…”

Shortly after, the Grammys’ CEO Harvey Mason Jr. issued a statement saying he, too, was surprised to see The Weeknd wasn’t nominated for any awards and said he could “empathize” with how the singer was feeling.

“I was surprised and can empathize with what he’s feeling. His music this year was excellent, and his contributions to the music community and broader world are worthy of everyone’s admiration,” he said.

Drake And Teyana Taylor Also Call Out The Grammys

Teyana Taylor also called out the Grammys that year with a post of her own, saying, “Y’all was better off just saying best MALE R&B ALBUM cause all I see is d–k in this category.”

The nominees for the Best R&B Album that year were Ant Clemons, Giveon, Luke James, John Legend, and Gregory Porter.

Drake also chimed in following the chatter and told artists to stop tying their worth to winning awards.

“I think we should stop allowing ourselves to be shocked every year by the disconnect between impactful music and these awards and just accept that what once was the highest form of recognition may no longer matter to the artists that exist now and the ones that come after,” he said, per E! News. “It’s like a relative you keep expecting to fix up but they just can’t change their ways.”

Travis Scott Has A Role In ‘The Odyssey’

While Scott still waits for a Grammy win, the rapper is riding the high of being in Christopher Nolan’s new film, “The Odyssey.”

The “SICK MODE” rapper recently appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and recalled the moment Nolan called him with the opportunity.

“My phone went off, and it just said, ‘Chris.’ And I’m thinking, like, ‘Okay, I don’t know what this is about. Maybe he wants to go to a show?’” he recalled.

Scott said he was initially confused, reminding Nolan that he makes music. However, his conversation with the movie director eventually led him to sign on for the project.

“I really enjoy his time. I’m really inspired by him; he’s a real mentor of mine outside of this. And so I’m like, ‘Yo, whatever you’re down with, I’m down. However, it goes, I’m with it,’” Scott said about his appearance in the movie.

Why Nolan Cast Travis Scott In ‘The Odyssey’

Nolan spoke with Time Magazine about the film and revealed why he chose the hitmaker to be in it.

“I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap,” Nolan said.

Travis Scott Slammed for Treating Stormi Like an ‘Accessory’

Travis Scott‘s parenting skills are being put on blast after fans noticed a cold pattern with his daughter, Stormi Webster.

The famous rapper attained fatherhood in 2018 after welcoming Stormi with socialite Kylie Jenner. Five years down the line, their son, Wolf Webster, joined the family.

Scott and Jenner have since broken up and remain amicable co-parents, but fans think the entertainer is slacking in doing his part.

Scott has been making media rounds for his cameo in the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan project, “The Odyssey.”

During a recent stop at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the rapper brought along his eight-year-old as his plus one, making it the ultimate father-daughter adventure.

Although Stormi didn’t join her father on air, the pair took heartwarming photos behind the stage. In one snapshot that has gone viral, they posed in front of the show’s signage. Scott opted for his signature all-black look comprising a leather jacket and pants.

His daughter, however, was the opposite in a colorful rainbow cropped sweater paired with baggy jeans. Stormi held on tightly to her famous dad, wrapping her arms around his waist as he posed with one hand underneath his chin and the other tucked away.

It didn’t take long for eagle-eyed fans to study the image and notice something distant about Scott’s body language with his daughter.

“And he is still aura farming in the pics. Boy, if you don’t hold ur d-mn kid,” one fan criticized, while another observed, “elbow in her face is wild.”

A similar remark read, “Lmaooo why was his body language like that around his daughter? Like she’s a fan he’s emotionally disconnected from.” Others noted the rapper always acted nonchalantly and continued even in the presence of his child. “You can tell she craves his affection,” this comment read.

“Why is he never acknowledging his kid? She’s not an accessory. Can’t put his arm around her? Can’t hold her hand on stage?” this user questioned.

Travis Scott Performed With Stormi At 2026 Fanatics Fest

The backlash from fans comes after the Texas native brought out his little one as a special guest during his performance at the 2026 Fanatics Fest held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York.

It is no strange sight seeing the Kardashian-Jenner kids in the spotlight, just like North West has done on multiple occasions with her father, Kanye West.

During a rendition of “SICKO MODE,” a shy Stormi accompanied her father onstage and trailed behind him as he sang for the crowd. The eight-year-old kept following Scott as he performed, as seen in a clip on X.

Online users were far from pleased by how he didn’t hold his daughter’s hand and left her feeling overwhelmed. “It’s wild how people can perform in front of thousands but acting like a dad for 10 seconds is somehow the difficult part,” a harsh remark read.

Scott’s parenting isn’t the only thing making headlines lately. According to The Blast, a night out in New York including several high-profile guests turned chaotic when the rapper got into an altercation.

The drama began when Scott reportedly noticed someone recording him at the private event hosted by Raising Cane held at Zero Bond. Angered, the 30-year-old approached the individual and a fight broke out.

“It all happened really fast. It started fast and broke up really quickly,” one eyewitness recalled. Members of Scott’s team reportedly began throwing bottles as things heated up.

Alix Earle, Logan Paul, Jake Paul, Tate McRae, and NBA player Jordan Clarkson, who intervened in the brawl, were among the popular faces at the event.

Despite the negative chatter, Scott remains focused on chasing after his dreams and goals.

The “Stargazing” artist recently opened up about his career aspirations as his latest track, “When I’m Home,” which he created for Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” sparks Oscars buzz.

“I still need a Grammy, but I would love to take home an Oscar. That’d be cool,” Scott confessed, per The Blast.

He explained that while he doesn’t feel unfulfilled about not having the prestigious awards, he believes the accolades represent “something.”

The Valley’s Kristen Doute is weighing in on Jax Taylor’s romance with his publicist — and estranged wife Brittany Cartwright’s former publicist — Lori Krebs.

“To me, this is not about Jax. Jax is so diabolical … like, of course,” Kristen, 43, reacted to the news on the Wednesday, July 22, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

She continued, “But with [Brittany] … this is Brittany’s trusted paid professional, a friend, basically part of her family for the past decade. It’s so totally deceitful. It’s her publicist. The one person who knows the ins and outs of everything.”

“I’m tired of seeing everyone on social media come for Brittany and say, ‘You should have known.’ It’s like this woman’s sleeping with the enemy,” Kristen added.
