‘Tracker’ Just Quietly Delivered a ‘Smallville’ Reunion in an Action-Packed Episode

Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for Tracker Season 3, Episode 14.We’re back this week with another Tracker episode that pushes the limit of what action hero Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) can handle, especially since he’s going up against several stuntmen who know their craft well. “Breakaway” is exciting for fans for a few reasons. For starters, it gives us an on-screen reunion between Justin Hartley and Erica Durance over a decade after Smallville went off the air. Secondly, there’s more action in this episode than there has been in a while, so strap in.

‘Tracker’ Season 3, Episode 14 Begins With a Missing Stuntman

This week’s episode begins on the film set of an indie production titled, well, Breakaway. After a killer opening action sequence, it pivots to stuntman Hale “Rip” Ripley (David Ramsey), who angrily walks off set after being hit too hard one too many times. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Colter is called in soon after. Although, when we first catch up with the rewardist in his Airstream, he’s reminiscing over an old photo of him and his dad, Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen), which he’d hidden in a copy of The Old Man and the Sea. Tracker continues to remind us that the mystery behind his father’s murder has not been fully solved, but it also proves a careful touch that speaks subtly to the father-son themes woven throughout the episode.

It’s then that Randy (Chris Lee) calls with a clever Lee Majors-style Fall Guy reference (to the old TV show, not the Ryan Gosling movie) before sending him to Detroit to track down the missing Ripley, who never went back home after the debacle on the film set. Arriving in town, Colter meets with Ripley’s girlfriend, Laura (Durance, who proves that she’s still got it), who offers $12K if Colter can track him down. Little does she know, this show is called Tracker, and that’s exactly what he’ll do. Laura gives “Colt” the rundown on Ripley, who has been struggling with pain pills for years. “Something happened to Ripley after he walked off set, these people are hiding something, I can feel it,” Laura tells him.

‘Tracker’ Is Officially a Different Show Following Its Most Brutal Case

The show’s taken a dark turn and audiences are loving it.

Naturally, Colter’s first step is to try to get onto the set itself, but a security guard stops him. It’s a closed set, after all, but something like that would never in a million years stop Colter Shaw. As usual, he dodges and weaves his way onto the premises anyway without any trouble. By the time he gets to the stunt trailer, Colter runs into a derelict stuntman doing a line of cocaine beside a definitely-too-young girl in his trailer. Colter stops things from going any further, and stunt coordinator Jake Harris (Jacob Turner) shows up and sees that the girl is looked after — and that the stuntman in question is fired. When asked about Ripley’s behavior as of late, Jake tells Colter that he had been distracted long before he walked on set. He isn’t surprised that he never made it home, though, and notes that the producers of the production, namely one Bennett Cranston (Carlo Rota), are not the types of people you’d want to tick off.

With this information locked and loaded, Colter calls his handy personal investigator/technical genius, and it isn’t long before Randy discovers that Cranston is involved with racketeering and other criminal enterprises. As if by magic, he gives Colter the location of the rental suite that the production has put Cranston up in, and the rewardist heads in that direction. After hanging up on our resident tracker, Randy shares a quick moment with Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene) and Mel Day (Cassady McClincy Zhang), as the two prepare for an upcoming dinner meeting with Maxine (Kathleen Robertson).

Colter makes his way to Cranston’s high-rise and, obviously, breaks in. Despite the fact that he’s clearly caught on camera, it makes no difference to him whatsoever. Inside, Colter finds signs of a struggle, and the security footage likewise reveals that Ripley had been there, only to be forcibly removed and kidnapped by Cranston and his goons. Calling Randy, Colter tries to get a phone trace on Cranston’s phone, but that’s a dead end. Instead, the hacking wizard pulls a positive ID off one of the goons in the video and uses that to trace his cellphone. It seems like this shouldn’t be this easy, but considering the Jeffrey Deaver-penned Colter Shaw novels have more time to tell these sorts of stories than Tracker‘s 40-something minutes, I guess we’ll let it slide. Randy tracks the phone to an industrial zone — and it isn’t long before Colter makes his way there.

Arriving at the scene, Colter finds a phone outside and the producer tied up with his men indoors. Ripley is nowhere to be found, having gained the upper hand against Cranston’s men when he tried to scare the stuntman. Apparently, Ripley was looking for his customized Dodge Charger, which Cranston bought off him two years ago when the stunt performer’s funds had gotten tight. Randy tracks his location via the car, sending Colter on a continued goose chase.

Meanwhile, in Denver, Maxine arrives late for dinner with Reenie and orders drinks. However, the late attorney doesn’t want to talk about work. Apparently, she got a call that her cheating husband (and his Pilates instructor) had used her credit card, thus confirming the affair. “Sometimes it’s easier to ignore it than admit that there’s a problem,” Maxine says at first, before the pair schemes ways to get back at him. Yeah, it’s a weird interlude, and we’re still not sure why we should give Maxine the time of day, but it’s leading to something as Maxine turns the tables on Reenie to ask about how she’s doing. They speak about how the former broke up with Elliott Rusch (Michael Rady) — remember Elliott? — after her abduction at the end of Season 2. Although Reenie claims she’s doing fine with the trauma, Maxine clearly sees through the false bravado.

Back in Detroit, Colter speaks with Laura over the phone and learns that Ripley is the type of “old-fashioned” guy who likes to pretend that he can fix everything. It may be that he’s in trouble that he believes only he can resolve, which might explain why he went off the grid. It becomes even clearer when Colter arrives at the scene of a drag race where the Charger is front-and-center. Without a care in the world, our hero drives his truck right through the middle of the festivities, hoping to derail the whole thing — and somehow he manages to hold his own against these other racers. After stopping the Charger, he finds that Ripley isn’t the one driving. It turns out that Ripley had sold the car to another racer after earning some cash from them. He also learns that Ripley’s son, Dalton (Lovell Adams-Gray), is really the one with the money issues, issues that he and Randy believe the stuntman has been trying to pay off. It turns out, Dalton is working closely with a crew of stuntmen who have active criminal records.

“Breakway” pivots back to Ripley, who confronts one of these stunt goons named Virgil Dean (Chris Jericho), the apparent ringleader of an outlaw band of stunt performers. When he tries to pay off Virgil to keep Dalton out of their world, the angry-looking goon tells Ripley that it’s not enough. The only way to get Dalton clear of his debts is for Ripley to take his place as a driver in ae heist. Meanwhile, Colter visits Laura to follow up on the types that Ripley might be involved in. After narrowing their location down to an abandoned warehouse (thank you, social media), Colter is joined by Laura as they break in to search for Ripley. Instead, they knock out one of the guys held up there and discover that the rogue stuntmen plan to rob an armored car. But upon hearing a struggle, they find that Dalton has been kidnapped. The boy begs Colter to let him help find his dad, and the rewardist agrees, so long as they do it his way.

Elsewhere, Ripley and the rest of the stunt crew-turned-gunslingers ready themselves for the armored car robbery. He tries to convince them to back out of the job, but they won’t listen. Thankfully, Colter and his new allies aren’t far behind. Colter and Dalton watch carefully as the robbery begins, and the rewardist leaves the younger man to intervene from a different direction. But Dalton doesn’t listen to Colter’s warnings and soon finds himself under heavy fire from the criminal element. In an action spectacular that likely utilized a lot of stunt performers, Laura arrives and helps take out some guys, but is injured in the process. With the rest of his men taken out, Virgil uses the opportunity to hold Ripley at gunpoint to try and get away, but Colter sneaks up behind him and fires, rescuing the stuntman and his family. A job well done.

Meanwhile, Reenie boxes out her frustrations and anxieties, and it’s clear that she’s not okay. Despite her claims that she’s completely fine, the bravado retreats to the shadows when she’s alone, and nothing seems to help. It’s clear that Reenie needs someone in her life who she can talk to about this, and after last week’s episode, we’re still hoping that Colter can fit the bill. But right now, the rewardist is on the other side of the country, bidding farewell to Ripley and Laura. Although Ripley apologizes for getting Colter involved, our hero is just happy that everything turned out well in the end. “Stay safe,” he tells the two of them — and that’s not the first time he utters those exact words in this episode.

Pros & Cons
  • Seeing Justin Hartley and Erica Durance back together on-screen makes us wish for a true-blue Smallville reunion.
  • The action in this episode was great ? more of this, please!
  • Weird that the thread with the young girl wasn’t revisited later on. Seemed to foreshadow something regarding the criminal acts of the stuntmen but then wasn’t fully paid off.

Is DTF St. Louis a True Story? Changes From Murder Trial Explained

Published

on

Originally, DTF St. Louis was meant to pull inspiration from the “My Dentist’s Murder Trial” article — but how much of the show is actually based on a true story?

In the new HBO show, which premiered in March, David Harbour plays Floyd, who is involved in a complicated love triangle with wife Carol (Linda Cardellini) and coworker Clark (Jason Bateman). Before the series debuted on HBO, it was announced that it would mirror an actual murder trial with Harbour, 51, and Pedro Pascal attached to star and executive produce.

The direction changed with Pascal exiting the show and Bateman coming to take over the role. In addition to Pascal’s exit, the creative direction of the series evolved into an original idea with no connection to the original article.

Ultimately, DTF St. Louis no longer follows Thomas Kolman‘s death, which took place in 2011 and made headlines when midazolam, a powerful sedative used by doctors and dentists, was found in his system.

HBO’s upcoming new show DTF St. Louis has a star-studded cast that includes Jason Bateman and David Harbour. According to its official synopsis, the dark comedy miniseries follows a love triangle between three middle-aged adults. However, things go awry when one of them ends up dead. In addition to Harbour and Bateman, DTF St. Louis […]

Kolman’s friend Dr. Gilberto Nunez, was charged with the murder four years later. Prosecutors claimed Nunez — a dentist — was having an affair with Kolman’s wife, Linda. When she ended their romance, Nunez allegedly threatened to die by suicide.

The New Yorker reported that security camera footage showed Nunez’s car parked next to Kolman’s at the gym the day of Kolman’s death. Authorities also discovered vials of Midazolam in the dentist’s office — in addition to searches on his computer about the drug.

Nunez was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of forgery, including one for faking CIA documents. During his trial, Nunez’s attorneys argued that Kolman died from a heart attack. Nunez was found not guilty of murder in 2016 but was convicted of felony forgery charges related to the fake CIA documents and was also convicted of insurance fraud in two subsequent trials.

Nunez was released in 2018 after serving 19 months of a seven-year sentence in state prison. He was restricted from returning to his prior dental practice and remained on parole until October 2023.

Creator Steven Conrad told The A.V. Club in March that the show was originally titled My Dentist’s Murder Trial — until they pivoted behind the scenes.

“I had already started along those lines with my own story, with various dilemmas for my characters,” he explained. “The challenge for me, at that time, was to take that make-believe world I was already concocting and see if I could fit it into these real circumstances from the article.”

Conrad found that the “details didn’t align with what I considered to be the facts of that case.” He switched ideas while working with Harbour on a concept centered around “middle-aged emptiness” while “wondering about the state of their lives, where their bad decisions were coming from, and what the consequences were.”

Clint Eastwood’s 60-Year-Old Spaghetti Western Is Still an Undisputed Classic

Published

on

Back-to-the-Future-Michael-J

It’s hard to dispute that Clint Eastwood has given more to the world of movies than anyone else in the history of Hollywood. His career as a movie star began years ago, when he directed and starred in some of the most famous Westerns of all time. Even in the last 10–15 years, as his career slowed down at an advanced age, he refused to quit giving the world more of his movies. He still found plenty of box office success over the years, particularly with action epics like American Sniper, the Bradley Cooper-led war biopic that grossed over $547 million globally. Eastwood won four Oscars over the course of his long and distinguished career, but many would argue that this isn’t anywhere near enough, considering what he’s given to the genre.

60 years ago, Clint Eastwood starred in one of the most famous Westerns of his career, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, which was formerly titled Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo. The spaghetti Western follows a bounty-hunter who joins two men in an uneasy alliance against a third to race against each other in their hunt for a secret fortune of gold buried in a remote cemetery. Hailed as one of the greatest movies ever made, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly holds equally strong scores of 97% from both critics and audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. It also cost only $1.2 million to make, but it grossed $25 million at the box office, making it a massive financial hit. All these years later, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly has found streaming success as one of the most popular VOD purchases worldwide on Apple TV.

Is Clint Eastwood’s Final Movie on Streaming?

Clint Eastwood’s final film, Juror #2, is available to stream on HBO Max both in America and globally. The film has continued to find streaming success, proving that Warner Bros. made a mistake bynot giving it a wide theatrical release. Juror #2 was released in select theaters overseas, but it was released straight to streaming in America, despite many classic movie fans expressing a desire to see it on the big screen. Now several years removed from the film, it’s unlikely Eastwood, now 95, will direct another movie.

Supernatural Star Carrie Anne Fleming Dead at Age 51

Published

on

Carrie Anne Fleming, best known for her roles in TV shows Supernatural and iZombie, has died.

Fleming’s rep confirmed her death, which occurred on February 26, via a statement shared with Us Weekly on Sunday, March 22. She was 51 years old.

“Carrie passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 51 due to cancer. She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side. She is survived by her daughter,” the statement read. “It was a great privilege to have known Carrie. She was a beautiful soul, inspiring, and above all, kind. She will be greatly missed.”

Supernatural star Jim Beaver, who played Bobby Singer opposite Fleming’s Karen Singer on the CW fantasy-drama series, took to Facebook on March 1 to reflect on the friendship he formed with his onscreen wife. His post also commented on Fleming’s battle with cancer — the same disease that killed his late wife, Cecily Adams, who died at the age of 46 more than two decades ago.

“I lost Cecily to cancer in 2004 … I lost Carrie to the same disease,” Beaver, 75, wrote alongside several photos of himself with Fleming. “I never thought my heart could break so badly more than once. But it has. But, oh, the two torches I carry. What bright, bright light they shed.”

Fleming appeared as Karen Singer during Supernatural seasons 5 and 7. Previously, she starred as Candy on CW’s iZombie from 2015 to 2019.

Per Beaver’s Facebook post, Fleming was instantly likeable when she joined Supernatural’s set in Canada, where Fleming lived, during season 5. “Carrie Anne Fleming was cast as my wife on Supernatural in my fifth season on the show. I fell for her hard, and I did it mere seconds after meeting her. To my joy and shock, it seems the same thing happened to her. We “met cute,” in Hollywood speak,” he wrote.

The post continued, “As we sat on the set before our first scene, saying our hellos and breaking the ice as actors do when first paired up for a scene, she mentioned the name Madeline Rose. I was flummoxed, because that is my daughter’s name, and there was no reason Carrie should know it. I said tentatively, ‘Who’s Madeline Rose?’ She said, ‘Oh, that’s my daughter.’ I said, ‘Wait. That’s my daughter.’ Turns out that, spelling differences aside, our daughters had the same name. And that, as also happens in the movies, was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

Beaver also reflected on his former costar’s many charms. “She was a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill and amazingly good nature, with a rapturous laugh and an utterly adorable personality that didn’t seem to have an off switch,” he detailed.

Fleming’s work extended to film too, with appearances in 2007’s Good Luck Chuck, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Crossroads: A Story of Forgiveness, and Married Life, plus 2012’s The Christmas Consultant, and 2014’s TV movie Along Came a Nanny.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, she also gave an uncredited performance in 1996’s Happy Gilmore.

Why Did The Comeback Get Canceled Multiple Times Before Season 3?

Published

on

Lisa Kudrow‘s The Comeback was canceled — and brought back — multiple times before its third and final season.

Created by Kudrow and Michael Patrick King, The Comeback premiered in 2005 and followed Valerie as she filmed a reality show called The Comeback, which chronicled her journey on a new sitcom with young costars as she tried to resuscitate her Hollywood career. The HBO show debuted to low ratings — and mixed reviews — despite being nominated for three Emmy Awards. Kudrow, for her part, received a nod for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Amid its award success, the show was canceled after 13 episodes. According to The Wall Street Journal, the show averaged 955,000 viewers per episode at the time. HBO said in a 2005 statement that after looking “at our schedule,” they decided that “given our future commitments, we felt we would not be able to give the show the support it needed.”

The show was revived nine years later for a second season of eight episodes. The show returned in 2014 to a more positive reception but since it was announced as a “limited event series,” there was no news about more seasons.

Kudrow and King shared their excitement over the news via a joint statement, saying, “Valerie Cherish has found her way back to the current television landscape. Neither of us are surprised she did.”

Lori Loughlin Makes Surprise Cameo in When Calls the Heart Finale

Published

on

When Calls the Heart concluded season 13 with a surprise cameo from none other than Lori Loughlin — seven years after her original exit from the show.

During the Sunday, March 22, episode of the hit Hallmark series Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan’s (Kevin McGarry) engagement ended with Abigail (Loughlin) coming back to Hope Valley, saying, “It’s good to be home.”

News originally broke in December 2025 that Loughlin, 61, will appear in six of season 14’s 12 episodes. The show, which is filming this year, is set to return in 2027 with Krakow, 41, McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith all set to return.

“Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties,” Hallmark Media’s head of programming Michelle Vicary said in a statement. “At its core the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”

Loughlin’s appearance on the hit show comes seven years after her final episode aired. The actress became a household name after playing Rebecca on ABC’s hit sitcom Full House. From there, Loughlin continued to deliver scene-stealing performances in Summerland, 90210, When Calls the Heart and Fuller House.

Loughlin was written off When Calls the Heart in 2019 in the wake of the college admissions scandal for which she served two months in jail. Before her return was announced, Krakow exclusively told Us Weekly she was hoping to reunite with Loughlin.

“I love Lori Loughlin, and I love the character she created, Abigail Stanton,” Krakow shared, adding that Loughlin rejoining the show is “something I’ve been hoping for for years and years. I’m very much a fan of hers and a friend of hers, so I really hope that it’s happening.”

Loughlin previously returned to acting on Dick Wolf’s Prime Video procedural On Call.

“Marshals delivered a breakout performance, capturing a massive audience across platforms and quickly establishing itself as one of TV’s most powerful new series,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said in a statement. “The overwhelming viewer response speaks to the strength of the Yellowstone world, the bold, character-driven storytelling from the creative team and the dynamic cast performances led by Luke Grimes.”

According to a press release, CBS has had several wins, with Marshals and Justin Hartley’s Tracker coming out as the top two most‑watched shows during their premiere week. The premiere of Luke Grimes‘ spinoff, meanwhile, ranks as CBS’ most-streamed episode ever on Paramount+.

Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, which aired from 2018 to 2024, originally introduced Us to Grimes, 42, as Kayce Dutton. After the show came to an end, it was announced that the actor would be headlining his own series for CBS, which follows Kayce as he leaves “ranching life behind to join an elite unit” of the U.S. Marshals while “combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.”

The show debuted earlier this month with Grimes, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Brett Cullen and Logan Marshall Green leading the cast. Longtime fans of Taylor Sheridan‘s Yellowstone universe were shocked, however, when the first episode revealed the death of Kayce’s wife, Monica (Kelsey Asbille).

Showrunner Spencer Hudnut later explained that the death happened after they realized Asbille, 34, wasn’t available to appear on the show.

Yellowstone has expanded with several spinoffs — but some of the shows have been going through extreme offscreen production delays. Taylor Sheridan‘s hit show, which premiered in 2018, introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family, who own the largest ranch in Montana. It became an instant hit for the Paramount Network, which inspired prequels including […]

“The original conversation was that it has to be something [that happens to Kayce in the series premiere]. There was the thought of, ‘Maybe we find him and he’s just bored because he was protecting his family and was a Navy SEAL, so then actually a calm life is not for him, which is a path,’” Hudnut told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month about the motivation behind the new spinoff. “But probably not a satisfying enough path for Kayce. Then, truthfully, as we were trying to figure it out, Monica was not one of the ingredients that was available to me.”

Hudnut clarified that he didn’t speak with Asbille before it was decided that Monica would be written off.

“No, I wasn’t part of any of that, so I can’t really speak to how or why that played out the way it did. But when that happened, it cleared up what that thing was for Kayce,” he noted. “And I think the way we’ve done it, my goal was to not undermine that journey in Yellowstone because they do have [the dream] — she says, ‘This is a dream come true’ at the end of it. They did achieve that. They did get what they finally wanted, and, unfortunately, life just intervened and disrupted everything that Kayce wanted. So that’s where we find him in Marshals.”

Marshals airs on CBS Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.

New Space Movie Breaks Box Office Records, Can It Save Sci-Fi?

By Henry Hards

Project Hail Mary entered its debut weekend riding high on a wave of positive buzz. That includes a rave review right here on GIANT FREAKIN ROBOT. It’s exactly the kind of movie audiences have been begging Hollywood to make for years, and now that they’ve made it, those audiences have responded.

Project Hail Mary opened with $140.9 million worldwide this weekend, making it the biggest debut of the year so far. The film earned $80.5 million in North America and $60.4 million internationally across 82 markets. That split shows strong domestic interest with solid overseas support, particularly for a non-franchise sci-fi release.

In the process, the Ryan Gosling-led movie also set a new record for Amazon MGM, delivering the largest opening in the studio’s history. The previous record holder, Creed III (2023), debuted with $100.4 million globally, including $41.8 million from international markets. Project Hail Mary surpassed both totals by a wide margin.

Compared to other recent releases, the gap is clear. Scream 7 brought in $97.2 million worldwide in its opening, with $33.1 million coming from international markets. Project Hail Mary outperformed it both domestically and overseas.

Jude Law’s Ex Breaks Silence on Chappell Roan Drama

Published

on

Jude Law’s ex Cat Cavelli is sharing her side of the story after Chappell Roan’s alleged interaction with her 11-year-old daughter in Brazil.

“Hi guys, good morning,” Cavelli said in a Sunday, March 22, Instagram video. “I wanted to say something because I’m getting so many messages about this now and honestly I didn’t realize it would get this crazy but a lot of people asked me, ‘What actually happened?’ and everything else and I know that Chappell has responded saying that it wasn’t her security and that she didn’t do it.”

She continued, “So, 100 percent this security guard was not a security guard of the hotel — that is what I can say. He looks after artists, so I don’t know if it was her personal security guard but he was with her. That is all I know. Did she send him to do it? Again, I don’t know. Look, I would like to hope not but at the same time, I think that you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity to make sure, I guess, that the people who work with you and act on your behalf are acting on your behalf.”

Cavelli questioned whether the security guard would have approached them if “he didn’t have the authority to do so.”

Paris Fashion Week delivered pure theatrical glamour thanks to Chappell Roan, who turned two iconic shows into her personal stage. She made a fashion statement by going braless at the Alexander McQueen Autumn Winter 2026 show on Sunday, March 8, wearing a see-through black gown that channeled gothic elegance. The dress featured an embellished collar, […]

“I don’t know,” she continued. “If he does, then obviously that’s a big problem because then he’s representing her in a way that she doesn’t want to be represented so I think that’s really important for her to notice and realize that’s not correct.”

Cavelli went on to note that they were staying at the same hotel as Roan, enjoying breakfast when they noticed someone who looked similar to the singer. Cavelli claimed her daughter “didn’t approach” Roan but went to see if the woman they spotted was, in fact, the pop star. (Cavelli is also mom to son Jax, whom she shares with professional soccer star Jorginho.)

“She didn’t have her phone, she didn’t try to take a picture, she didn’t approach her. She literally didn’t do anything. She just looked at her,” Cavelli claimed of her daughter, noting that a security guard then approached them with a “very aggressive tone.”

“For me, I feel like it really overstepped a boundary, because he is quite an intimidating … he is very large,” she continued. “So for him to come over to a table with just a woman and her daughter eating breakfast to kind of berate and scold us and say that he was going to complain and tell me that I should be teaching my daughter to be better, and that she’s badly educated, and we should respect people’s privacy, and we should not harass people, and all of these other things.”

Chappell Roan has cut ties with her talent agency, Wasserman, after CEO and founder Casey Wasserman was named in files related to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman,” Roan, 27, shared in an Instagram Story on Monday, February 9. […]

Cavelli claimed she tried to explain that her daughter was “very excited” to see an artist that she “admires.” She also noted that Jorginho is “very well known” and her daughter “knows the limits” around public figures.

“I tried to explain this to him, and then he just kept saying, ‘Well, if that’s the case, you should know better. You should know how it is. You should know how it is. So you should teach her to be better. You shouldn’t allow her to be like this,’” Cavelli recalled. “I was shocked.”

She continued, “I did actually say to him at the time, I said, ‘Well, if this the case that she doesn’t even want people to look at her, she is very welcome to eat breakfast in her room, because this here is a public area, and I am a paying guest as well as her. So if I want to walk past someone’s table and look at them, I have every right to do so. I am not approaching her. I’m not doing anything to make her feel intimidated or nothing.’”

Cavelli said that she hopes Roan “did not know” and “did not send her security guard over to do this.” She noted that the family traveled to see the show, with her daughter asking to see the singer perform for her birthday present. The group ended up skipping the show.

“It’s how it is. We’ll say no more on it. That’s it,” she concluded. “I hope that maybe, if it wasn’t her, that she learns to not allow the people that work for her to treat people like this. That’s the end of it.”

In the caption, Cavelli wrote, “Good afternoon, everyone! I’ve been reflecting on the recent events, which is why it took me a while to speak out. First of all, I want to say that we’re all okay. We met Jorge here at his hotel, and I decided to share a bit about what happened. Thank you for the support and for all the kind messages.”

The drama began on Saturday, March 21, that Jorginho (real name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho) claimed that Roan’s security team wouldn’t allow his daughter to meet her.

“During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her,” Jorginho alleged in his statement via social media. “And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”

A security guard allegedly told Cavelli and her daughter that she shouldn’t “disrespect or harass other people.”

Chappell Roan’s look at the 2026 Grammy Awards was all about pushing boundaries. The “Red Wine Supernova” singer’s makeup artist, Andrew Dahling, said that she channeled a “Mugler medieval fantasy” by wearing prosthetic nipples and faux tattoos for the red carpet held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1. Roan (real […]

“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” Jorginho concluded. “I’ve lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. What happened there was not that. It was just a child admiring someone. It’s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans. At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this. I sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection. No one should have to go through this, especially not a child.”

Roan, for her part, addressed the comments on Sunday in a video shared via social media.

“I’m just gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child, who were involved with a security guard who is not my personal security,” Roan said via her Instagram Story. “I didn’t even see a woman and a child, like, no one came up to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel, as well.”

Roan denied that she asked the security official to “go up and talk” to the family on her behalf.

“I did not, [and] they did not come up to me. They weren’t doing anything,” Roan said. “It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there’s no action even taken, like, that’s so not what I stand behind.”

Roan noted that she has no issue with her fans, adding, “I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children, like, that is crazy. I’m sorry to that mother and child that someone was assuming something that you would do something and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.”
