Young and the Restless Early Spoilers April 13-17: Lily Heartbroken & Anguished – Matt’s Violent Attack!
Young and the Restless early weekly spoilers for April 13th through the 17th suggest Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is in anguish and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is attacking at last.
As we always do on early edition day, we start with what’s coming the rest of this week, then dive into next week.
Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, April 8th: Lily Can’t Be A Donor
So, Wednesday, April 8th, Lily tells Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) that she won’t tell anybody about his aplastic anemia until he okays it. But Lily really wants to tell Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but Malcolm says he’s not ready for that just yet.
Lily says she’s going to get tested ASAP to see if she can donate her bone marrow. Meanwhile, Malcolm says his doctor, Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), is in Genoa City right now. Malcolm exits and Lily is upset to find out from the doctor that her past cancer means she is not eligible to be a donor for her bio dad.
Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Provokes Cane
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is prodding Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) to pay attention to her and not Lily when he keeps looking over there at the GCAC and she wants to know who Cane is plotting revenge on. And he tells Phyllis go away but she keeps poking. So Cane says he may want revenge on her and he tells Phyllis everybody hates her. She tries to say that they’re just jealous. Cane says no, everybody hates you, including your kids. And says that the only thing Phyllis has at this point is a stolen company.
Cane says he does not care about Phyllis and she doesn’t get any of his attention. He’s not going to give it to her. But she keeps following Cane around. She starts offering him a job. Phyllis tries to say he’s got no options but her and Cane’s again peeking at Lily and then Phyllis asked if he wants revenge on his ex-wife and Cane says just leave me alone.
Phyllis says that she’s Cane’s friend and he should be happy for her and he calls Phyllis a manipulator. And then Cane reminds Phyllis she stole his AI to steal the things that she now has. She says Cane could easily rebuild the AI. And he walks away to check on Lily, who is looking upset. Cane asks if Malcolm is okay. And Lily does not want to talk to him about it. So Cane just walks away annoyed.
Holden’s Father Isn’t His Bio Dad on Young and the Restless
Stephanie has huge news for Holden Novak. And he’s worried that she’s there to tell him he has the same genetic disease that killed his dad. But no, it’s not that. Stephanie reveals that his dad wasn’t his biological father, so he’s not going to have that disease, and says she was pregnant when she met the man who raised Holden, but says that he knew all along that he wasn’t Holden’s father, but he raised him that way.
And Stephanie says she never told his biological father he even existed. So, she’s pressing Holden to agree to meet his bio dad, who is a good guy and really needs his help, and he’s kind of annoyed that Stephanie’s only telling him this because the guy needs something from him.
Y&R Spoilers: Stephanie Shocks Malcolm & Holden
Malcolm arrives and Stephanie tells him Lily is not going to be eligible to donate because of her past cancer. And then she shocks them both. She introduces Holden and tells Malcolm that’s your son and tells Holden this is your dad. And Malcolm is quite upset that Stephanie hid his son from him his whole life.
But she reminds Malcolm that he had moved on with Olivia by then and says her dead husband raised Holden as his own. And he asks what is it that Malcolm needs? And Stephanie says bone marrow. So Holden is shocked to hear that he has a sister who’s not a match.
Stephanie’s blaming herself for them never knowing each other, but she’s also defensive about it, which is kind of crazy. So Holden is stunned to find out that he is Lily’s brother.
And Holden admits that he knows Lily, but says that things between them are complicated. And of course they are because he is, you know, Cane’s right-hand guy and/or henchman, but he was already looking for another job. Anyway.
Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, April 9th: Malcolm and Stephanie Discuss Past
Then on Thursday, April 9th, we’ve got Malcolm and Stephanie rehashing and talking about their complex history. Hopefully they’re not doing it in front of Holden, and they’re sitting at Crimson Lights and she’s telling Malcolm she can still remember how excited Olivia and Drucilla were to set them up back in the day.
They thought that Malcolm and Stephanie were perfect for each other and were going to be this epic couple. So Lily is also there with them this week and of course they were also meeting Holden there. So, I’m quite sure whatever point she finds it out, Lily is going to be stunned to know that Cane’s right-hand man, Holden, is now her newfound brother on Young and the Restless.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: A Family Affair
Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) sees Holden differently on Thursday. So, he may go and open up because this is a huge life-changing shocker and may tell Claire about his mom, Stephanie, and that he just found out that his father who raised him wasn’t really his bio dad,.
And he met his biological father who’s Malcolm Winters and just found out his sister’s Lily and the whole bone marrow request and I think Holden’s going to have some anguish over this and some angst which makes sense.
Lily goes to see Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) looking for some guidance and I expect this is about the Malcolm situation and Lily can’t be a donor because of her cancer and we’ll see if she knows at this point about Holden.
Y&R Spoilers Friday, April 10th: Nick Cornered By Matt
Friday, April 10th, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) finds himself cornered by Matt. I’m betting Nick’s high as a kite from the strong drugs he got from Matt’s dealer. Also in Vegas on Friday, Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are kissing.
She says if all goes well, they’ll celebrate tonight. Adam says he’s all in and there’s more kissing. And later, Nick wants to know from Adam how far he’ll go with Riza. My guess is to any lengths and I don’t think Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) is going to like it when she finds out.
Also this week, Riza is passionately kissing Matt as well and he really wants to meet Spyder. It looks like Matt doesn’t yet know that it’s Adam Newman. Speaking of him, he is making a risky move. You know, he’s embraced the Spyder thing. He’s kissing Riza.
He’s playing high stakes poker, putting himself in danger. But will he actually get in Rizza’s bed? And Lily takes it upon herself to help Malcolm. So, I wonder if she’s going to ask her kids to get tested because they’re grown, you know, and Lily may be bothered by the idea that Holden would be the donor that saved their father.

Week of April 13th-17th on Young and the Restless
The week of April 13th through the 17th, we’ve got Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott‘s (Jason Thompson) relationship getting more serious, and they are discussing their future and plans for their future.
Lily continues to struggle with the fact that she can’t be a donor for Malcolm and that he’s seriously ill. And I guess we’ll find out if her kids are going to get tested to see if they’re a match. And Holden continues to grapple with the fact that Malcolm is his father.
That he’s not known for these what, three and a half decades. And I do think he’s going to go get tested as Stephanie wants because Holden’s not a bad guy. He’s kind of sketchy sometimes, but he’s not that terrible.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Everyone Reeling from Holden Shocker
And especially after talking with Claire, I think he’ll get some clarity, and Holden and Lily are both going to be processing the fact that they are half siblings. Cane is going to be stunned by this turn of events.
I think a lot of people are, Devon and Nate. And I do wonder if Lily may offer Holden a job to just get him away from Cane or if she’s going to try and pretend that he’s not her brother.
Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) are going to be fighting their feelings while they are away in Spain with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) dig in their heels as they drift further apart. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are also feeling the rift between them widen and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is going to keep playing games.
Adam is using Riza to get to Matt, but with Nick in Matt’s crosshairs and in peril, things are going to escalate. Nick, as usual, thinks he’s got everything under control, but he is in serious trouble.

Where Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Stars Stand With Church

Despite the name The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, not all of the show stars are active in the religion.
Members of the Mormon faith belong to the Church of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), which are often characterized by strict rules. On The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, a group of #MomTok influencers attempted to defy traditional gender roles.
“Everyone has Mormon roots,” Mayci Neeley said on the group’s “Viall Files” podcast appearance in September 2024, before Mikayla Matthews and Jessi Ngatikaura revealed that they are not members of the church.
Keep scrolling to see where the different cast members stand with the LDS church:
Taylor Frankie Paul

Taylor Frankie Paul was a practicing Mormon when Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered in 2024, claiming during the first season that she wanted to reconnect with her faith after divulging a “soft-swinging” scandal among her fellow MomTokkers and welcoming a baby out of wedlock. (Taylor shares two children with ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as youngest son Ever with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.)
Nearly two years later, Taylor revealed that she was “detaching” herself from the LDS church.
“I’ll always have love and respect towards it. I’ll even continue to go with my family at times … with that being said, it’s time to detach myself from it,” she wrote via Instagram. “I strongly believe in Christ, God, the bible, the divine. I believe we are loved whether we are praying in [a] church building or from a bathroom floor at home. I’ve also experienced grace and love from amazing people that aren’t sure what they believe if at all and that’s OK too.”
Demi Engemann

Demi Engemann grew up “half” in the church as her mother was a member, but her dad was not.
“It was such a stark contrast, so the faith aspect for me was very interesting and intriguing,” she said on the 2024 podcast. “I almost resented my mom for being like, ‘No, you don’t miss a Sunday [service]’ … and then my dad was just like a free spirit. Naturally, I’m more like a free spirit, so I always went against the grain.”
As of now, Demi has “stepped away from more of the religious practices” in favor of her personal relationship with God.
Jennifer Affleck

Jen Affleck grew up in the church, calling herself “the most LDS” of the Hulu stars.
“In my own personal friend group, I’m the craziest,” she said in September 2024. “I also have my past. … There are pros and cons to being raised in the Mormon faith, but for me, it was my relationship with God and I always go back to that even when I doubt my faith.”
Jen, whose mom converted after immigrating to the United States, went through “stages” after high school when she rebelled from the religion.
“I definitely left the church for a little bit [and] I drank, I had sex before I got married,” she recalled. “I did all the things that Mormons don’t do. … It was important for me to have that experience and not just follow what everyone else was doing and to really figure out what I wanted and ultimately, I decided this does make me a better person [and] it makes me happy.”
Jessi Draper

Jessi Draper does not belong to the church, noting on Nick Viall’s podcast in 2024 that she was a “rebel” among the cast for her position.
“I’m a zero out of 10 on the Mormon scale,” she quipped. “I’m the alcoholic on the show. I’m like the rebellious one on the cast. My dad wasn’t Mormon [and] my mom was, so I grew up like a mutt [and] have the best of both worlds.”
Layla Taylor

Layla Taylor, who converted to the faith, isn’t “super active.”
“I try to go to church as much as I can, but I had sex before I was married [and] I drink here and there,” she said on the “Viall Files” episode in 2024. “I’m taking it day by day. Ultimately, just my relationship with God, I feel like that’s what it comes down to and that’s just so personal.”
Elsewhere on the podcast, Layla revealed that she has a new boyfriend following her divorce and he is an “active” Mormon. The pair split months later.
Mayci Neeley

Mayci Neeley’s active in the church and also teaches “primary” classes to member’s children.
“I have a temple recommend, which means I’m worthy to go in the temple,” she told Viall. “You have to be worthy to enter into the house of the Lord.”
Mikayla Matthews

Mikayla Matthews is not a practicing Mormon but grew up in the church.
“I haven’t been active for, like, 10 years,” she said. “I grew up in California, so it’s very different. I grew up with my mom cussing us out on the way to church — and she was a church leader. In Utah, it’s completely different, so I don’t feel like I was ever that [religious.] I was never by the book; we did things on Sunday.”
Mikayla and her siblings relocated with their mother to Utah following their parents’ divorce but didn’t stay active with the local church.
Whitney Leavitt

Whitney Leavitt is also a current member of the church, described as one of the “saints” of the cast. (The cast self-divided themselves as “saints and sinners” based on who is a practicing Mormon and follows the LDS rules.)
Miranda McWhorter

Miranda McWhorter, who participated in Taylor Frankie Paul’s soft-swinging scandal, joined Mormon Wives in season 2 after divorcing husband Chase McWhorter and stepping away from her Mormon faith.
“I feel, like, our communication wasn’t great a lot of the time,” Miranda recalled on the “Viall Files” podcast in May 2025 about what led to her divorce, adding that she was also navigating a “faith crisis” at the time.

‘Stranger Things’ Icon’s 92-Minute Hulu Original Becomes a Late-Night Sleeper Hit
With Stranger Things having wrapped up several months ago, its cast members have moved on to other projects. The actors had become synonymous with the characters they had played since they were children, and with many of them now in their early twenties, their roles are reflecting this change. Gaten Matarazzo brought to life the loveable and hilarious Dustin Henderson for the show’s entire run, but now he’s on to something a bit different. The actor stars in the Hulu comedy Pizza Movie as Jack, a college student who embarks on a mission with his friend while on a drug-induced trip. He brings those Dustin comedy chops to the stoner movie that has become a streaming favorite.
Streaming data from FlixPatrol shows that Pizza Movie is currently the most popular movie on Hulu. The comedy has received mixed reviews from critics, with a 76% rating on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, and this streaming performance hints at popularity with the viewers. Pizza Movie has been out for five days, so it’s still unclear how long it can sustain this hype, given that Jason Statham‘s fan favorite, The Beekeeper, is also now on Hulu and making its way up the charts.
Written and directed by Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, Pizza Movie is akin to other stoner comedies that preceded it. The Goldbergs‘ Sean Giambrone stars alongside Matarazzo as Montgomery, a shy college student who accidentally takes potent drugs that turn a simple mission to retrieve pizza by descending two flights of stairs into a wild adventure. Other cast members include Lulu Wilson (Lizzy), Jack Martin (Blake), Peyton Elizabeth Lee (Ashley), Marcus Scribner (Logan), Caleb Hearon (Sidney), Sarah Sherman (Frankie), Justin Cooley (Byron), Kevin Matthew Reyes, Adam Herschman, and Lucas Zelnick.
Is ‘Pizza Movie’ Worth Watching?
Well, based on critics’ reviews, Pizza Movie is a fun time as long as you don’t go in expecting a high-concept mindblowing experience. The film is simple and unserious, making it perfect for a relaxation session. “Pizza Movie is a charming throwback to the stoner comedies that inspired it, an ambitious college movie that knows how to take a simple idea and turn it into something broad, wild, and expansive. While the joke might start to get a bit thin near the end, Pizza Movie is a clever bit of fun, and we definitely need more broad comedies like this in the world,” Collider’s Ross Bonaime wrote in his review of Pizza Movie after watching a screening at 2026’s SXSW Festival.
Pizza Movie is available to stream on Hulu in the US. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Man Allegedly Killed Girlfriend’s Rabbit in ‘Fit of Rage’
A Los Angeles man stomped on his girlfriend’s baby rabbit, Momo, in a “fit of rage” before he allegedly threw her pet out of their second-story apartment, killing the creature, authorities said.
Nikolas Hart, of North Hollywood, is accused of previous physical assaults against his girlfriend before the fatal attack on her 2-month-old rabbit, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Hart, 25, is facing felony and misdemeanor domestic violence charges as well as one felony count of animal cruelty, prosecutors announced in a Monday, April 6, news release.
“This defendant is accused of assaulting his girlfriend on prior occasions, then later killing a defenseless animal in a violent outburst,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said in a statement. “That kind of criminal behavior will land you in prison.”
At an April 6 arraignment, Hart pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, including animal cruelty, one count of injury to a spouse or cohabitant, one count of attempting to prevent or dissuade a victim/witness, and three counts of disobeying a court order to not contact a victim, according to prosecutors.
It was not immediately clear whether Hart had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
While living with his girlfriend, Hart allegedly stomped on her male rabbit, Momo, and then placed the animal inside a trash bag before throwing him out of their apartment, according to the district attorney’s office.
“The rabbit died from blunt force trauma to the chest, abdomen and face,” prosecutors said in the news release.
Hochman vowed that his office would seek to prosecute Hart to the fullest extent.
If he is found guilty of all charges, Hart would face up to eight years in prison, prosecutors said.
Hart had his bail set at $150,000 on April 6, according to the district attorney’s office.
A court order prevents him from “owning, possessing or having any animals in his care or custody,” prosecutors said.
The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate Hart, according to the district attorney’s office.
Hart is due to appear at the Van Nuys Courthouse for a preliminary hearing set for April 16, prosecutors said.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 for confidential support.
If you know of or suspect animal abuse or neglect, you are urged to contact the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals through their website or call your local animal control officer.

Jennie Garth Recalls Divorce Sending Her On A Drug Overdrive
Jennie Garth is revealing how her 2013 divorce sent her down a spiral.
The American actress is unpacking all the feelings that came with parting ways with her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, and how she literally hit rock bottom, seeking solace in harmful substances.
Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli met on the set of “An Unfinished Affair” in 1995 and tied the knot six years later in 2001, welcoming three daughters before he filed for divorce in 2012.
Jennie Garth Turned To Rehab After Her Rough Divorce

The actress came undone in her interview with PEOPLE today, April 8th, discussing an important chapter in her new memoir “I Choose Me.” According to her, the only way she knew how to deal with the shock of her divorce was to drink so much alcohol and take so many pills. Unfortunately, her overconsumption also led her to the hospital, where she had her stomach pumped to flush the toxins out.
After her stint in the hospital, she decided to embark on a life-changing journey to the Canyon Ranch rehab center, where she was hit with the self-awareness of her light dimming and the overwhelming lack of good vibes around her. She noticed the weird effect of her negative thoughts about her life and decided to be proactive about changing her situation.
In her words during the interview, “And there was a weird switch where one day I just said, ‘I don’t want to carry this anymore. It’s impacting my relationships and how I feel about myself. I’ve got to let it go. I’ve got to forgive him.” Following her resolve, she made up with Facinelli, and today, they have become amazing co-parents and pals. During the Los Angeles wildfires in 2025, Facinelli took in Garth and her new partner, actor Dave Abrams.
The Actress Speaks On Handling Fame Following Her Appearance On ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’

Garth referenced her very normal childhood and upbringing outside the bubbling social scene of Beverly Hills and how she did not envision being one of the most famous teens on the planet until she was cast on “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
Her appearance on the show was the beginning of a new reality, which was scary and unknown to most of them in that line-up, and they had to find a way to survive the wave or drown. The 54-year-old expressed that there was no manual on how to navigate that life, and they had to learn on the job. Garth found herself struggling with severe anxiety from the constant exposure, and this made her devise every means possible to protect her privacy.
She recalled living a very isolated existence, avoiding eye contact with people, and not sharing details of her life with anyone. Underneath all these efforts to stay oblivious, the actress confessed that she also found it difficult to believe that she was worth the hype, as she was her own biggest critic.
Jennie Garth And Peter Facinelli Looked Back On Starting A Family So Young

In 2024, Woman’s World reported that the former couple reunited on an episode of her “I Choose Me with Jennie Garth” podcast, where they got candid about their marriage, their divorce, and everything in between. For Facinelli, his age when they had their first child heavily influenced how he saw life, and he was not ready; he was 21.
He described the whole sequence of welcoming their first daughter, moving in together, getting married, and having a second child as a whirlwind. According to him, the whole marriage felt like it was arranged, and while he was truly in love with Garth at the time, he still had not gotten to the stage where he truly knew himself or what he wanted out of life. As for the actress, she was well into the start of her iconic acting career.
Facinelli added that it took him so long to leave his marriage because of their children and break up the family, but when it finally happened, they both agreed to share custody. Garth declared her gratitude to her ex-husband for being an amazing full-time dad to their kids and being there for her whenever she needed help with something.
The Author Gushed About Her Friendship With Peter Facinelli

The media personality did not hesitate to inform the world during the Palisades fire that her ex-husband was generous enough to open his doors to her family to seek solace. As stated by The Blast, she also stated on her podcast that they had started mixing their blended families (Garth found love again and married Abrams in 2015, while Facinelliinelli is currently engaged to Lily Anne Harrison).
The actor welcomed a son with Harrison, and Garth revealed that she was invited to the son’s christening, where they will be going on a boat ride with the whole family. The actress happily shared that she rekindled her friendship in 2024 after he appeared on her podcast. According to her:
“Guys, we are officially friends now. He even unblocked me from Instagram. I’ve been blocked on his socials for so long that I [stopped] caring years ago. But I’m unblocked now, you guys. That’s that’s big news.”
Jennie Garth Addressed Her Arthritis Diagnosis In 2022

The media personality was diagnosed with osteoarthritis at 45, which left her shocked because she did not think anyone within her age bracket could get that. As noted by The Blast, she recalled feeling some pains in her knees, hips, and different parts of her body, but it never occurred to her that she had arthritis.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Arthritis is a disease that causes damage in the joints, accompanied by pain, stiffness, and inflammation, and is common among people older than 50.
Garth blamed her diagnosis on years of active physical exercises, and partly heredity, as the disease runs in her family. Still, she only discovered after talking to her family about her diagnosis. However, she found a way to deal with her condition by incorporating different products, exercises, and diet regimes.

Bold and the Beautiful Early Spoilers April 13-17: Hope Terrified – Steffy’s Simmering Rage Explodes!
Bold and the Beautiful early weekly spoilers for April 13th through the 17th divulge Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) being really scared and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is simmering. She is so mad.
As we always do on early edition day, we start with what’s coming the rest of this week and then we’re going to dive into what is ahead next week.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers Wednesday, April 8th: Hope and Deacon Worried
So on Wednesday, April 8th, we’ve got Deacon and Hope talking together and they’re going back over to the Logan estate to talk after they got done with Deacon. We’re going to pick up from Tuesday and they’re over there talking. They are just struggling with everything going on. They are very worried that something terrible may happen to Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) because they do not share his confidence that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is in the dark. The kids are right. Deacon is wrong.
Plus, Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), Steffy, and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) take action to make sure their family is safe from Sheila. And they obviously think she’s going to target Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) for sneaking around with Deacon. We’ll see if they rush over to check on Taylor at work. You know, Ridge is worried about the security measures at the house. Steffy doesn’t want to be living in a prison, but Finn may agree that they should amp up security.
B&B Spoilers: Sheila’s Heart-to-Heart with Deacon
So, things are going to pick up where we left off from Tuesday’s episode with Sheila back at home telling Deacon she saw his tender moment with Taylor and she confessed that she and Deacon are in love and he admits this to Sheila. You know, both Taylor and Deacon are like, “Okay, we’re caught. We’re done lying.”
So, the conversation from Tuesday continues over onto Wednesday with Sheila telling Deacon that he is wrong. She says that Taylor doesn’t love Deacon, that she only loves who he has become, who he is at this point of his character evolution. Sheila says now that Deacon is a business owner. He’s admired and respected. He has status. And Sheila is reminding her husband that she was the only one who loved Deacon when he was nothing back when Ridge and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and even Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) still treated him like dirt.
I kind of disagree with her a little bit. Deacon was already making something of himself. And from the get-go where Sheila has come in, she may have loved him, which I do agree she did, but at the same time, she’s always been a problem because it convinced people that Deacon wasn’t really reformed because of his guilt by association of being around her.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Sheila Fights for Her Marriage
So, Sheila is going to press Deacon and says she was the one who was there for him and believed in him. And then he tells Sheila that he’s sorry. And she asks if their memories mean anything to him. She reminds Deacon that he proposed to her. He made a promise to her till death do us part.
Sheila is harping on that vow. And he tells Sheila, “Yes, yes, I remember.” And then she asked Deacon if this is really what he wants. Sheila asks if he thinks this is wise. So it kind of sounds like she’s threatening Deacon, but again, at least for now, we’re not going to be getting violence.
We’re going to see Sheila in this heart-wrenching talk with Deacon. She is fighting really hard for their marriage. I think Sheila made good points with Taylor. Like when Sheila asked Taylor who’s the real villain here, her or the woman who betrayed her, cheating with her husband. I mean, Sheila is not the cheater.
So, Deacon definitely wants to end his marriage to Sheila and start something real with Taylor, but I do think he feels bad about hurting Sheila and doesn’t want her to hurt Taylor. But in the end, Deacon wants Taylor, not Sheila.
Thursday, April 9th: Sheila Won’t Do Anything She’ll Regret on B&B
Thursday, April 9th, we’ve got Hope standing up to defend Deacon. And this may be to Steffy and Ridge who are on fire about this whole thing. Sheila tells Deacon that she does have a lot of anger that he was cheating with Taylor. And we’re going to see Sheila admitting that her pain from the situation with Taylor is very real.
It’s visceral. But Sheila also tells Deacon she’s not going to do anything that she will regret. So, nothing violent like going after Taylor. Obviously, Sheila doesn’t want to wind up back in prison. She is not the crazy person everyone thinks she is according to her.
And Deacon and Sheila are going to think back on their love story and then they are going to formally end their relationship because Deacon’s not backing down on the fact that he wants to be with Taylor. So, looks like by Thursday they are officially over on Bold and the Beautiful.
Bold Spoilers Friday, April 10th: Deacon and Taylor Together
Friday, April 10th, after ending things with Sheila officially, we’re going to see Deacon going right over to see Taylor. So, Deacon and Taylor are finally together now that he is single. I’m anticipating a loving and sexy scene where they may finally make love, which they were interrupted before. They are so head over heels though, they’re not going to notice that somebody is watching them.
And most likely probably going to be Sheila stalking them, sad and upset and just continuing to be shocked at this betrayal. But it could also be Steffy and Ridge ready to give them a piece of their mind. I’m sure they don’t believe that Sheila is going to quietly fade into the woodwork and let them be happy.
Showrunner Brad Bell said in a recent interview that Sheila has grown as a human and Bell said fans should not expect her to go off on Taylor. He said Sheila is not as crazy as she used to be and he said of course Taylor is scared but the showrunner guarantees that Sheila is not going to murder her. Not for a second time.

Week of April 13th-17th: Relationship Goes Public on Bold and the Beautiful
Then the week of April 13th through the 17th, we’ve got Ridge and Steffy continuing to be afraid of what comes next. They still think Sheila is a threat. They’re not going to believe anything that Taylor or Deacon say about Sheila taking her lumps and walking away.
Hope and Deacon will be cautiously optimistic, but really happy for their dad. And I’m sure Steffy is going to be irate about that. She and Hope are going to continue to face off over this issue.
I suspect Taylor is going to be in serious hot water with Steffy. She’s upset that Taylor continued to see Deacon and brought danger to the family. We could see Steffy boot Taylor out of her house. If so, I’m sure Deacon’s going to be right there waiting for her, ready to move in together, start their lives.
And what I really hope is that Taylor doesn’t move into Deacon’s little apartment above Il Giardino when they start their happily ever after. You know, I’m hoping to see that B&B invested in a new set with a house for them.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Ridge Runs His Mouth
Ridge is going to have more to say, but Taylor doesn’t care what Ridge thinks, nor should she. And Taylor and Deacon’s relationship is official, and it is going public. Everybody’s going to find out about it. It’s going to cause an uproar with several people.
We’re going to hear a lot of different opinions about it. Sides are going to be taken and I think a lot of people are going to echo the doubts about Sheila going away quietly and not hurting somebody.
What’s Next For Sheila on B&B?
So, after losing Deacon to Taylor, we’re going to see Sheila still reeling from all the pain and betrayal and above and beyond stalking the happy couple. The question is, what’s her next move? So, she can quietly move on or she can go after non-violent revenge.
Remember Sheila commented to Taylor that it was dodgy she got involved with a patient. So, she may go that route and report her to the board. We also have Bill who may circle back around to invest in Deacon’s expansion of Il Giardino.
and he may be ready to pull the trigger since Sheila is no longer involved. And I do wonder if she may shock Deacon and try and snatch half the business to punish him for cheating on her. I mean, I couldn’t really blame her.
And other stories moved to the front burner. Brad Bell promised more on Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and the Logan launch soon. Plus, more on RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti), Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace), Will Spencer (Crew Morrow), and Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock).

10 Nearly Perfect Fantasy Movies, Ranked
It’s easy to single out those fantasy movies that are considered pretty much perfect, starting as far back in cinema history as The Wizard of Oz, and then into the 21st century, with something like Pan’s Labyrinth, for instance, that’s honestly hard to fault. Perfection is rare, and also a little too easy to talk about, since it involves looking at something and being like, “Yeah, there’s nothing wrong here.”
So, here are some fantasy movies that are “merely” near-perfect. Some of them are very good with some noticeable flaws, and then the ones near the end of this ranking are the closest to perfect, perhaps with just one or two things that can be nitpicked. You’re also welcome to disagree, but if something’s not here and you’re not happy about that, then consider the possibility that it was potentially too good/perfect for this ranking, and then maybe you’ll feel a little less angry.

‘Lost Horizon’ (1937)
Not to be mixed up with the camp-heavy musical movie of the same name, from 1973 (which has the same plot, too), Lost Horizon (1937) has been a little lost to time, at least if you compare its legacy to The Wizard of Oz or Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the latter of which also came out in 1937. Lost Horizon is about a man discovering a valley known as Shangri-La, which is hidden from the real world and unlike pretty much any other area previously known to humanity.
Or it seems that way at first, at least, since nothing can really be as perfect as it first seemed. Lost Horizon is interesting, and also ahead of its time in some ways, regarding what it’s going for thematically and with some of its technical qualities, too. It might’ve been a bit much for people in the 1930s, but at least it can be better appreciated nowadays.
9
‘Versus’ (2000)
There’s a lot of wonderful chaos to be found in Versus, even if it’s also close to being a bit too much at times. It’s sort of an action/crime movie that has an increasing number of fantastical and supernatural elements as it goes along, seeing as the premise here (more of an excuse to have wild things happen) involves a bunch of shady people having to battle zombies and other creatures in a forest.
They really just have to fight for their lives, and do so in one bombastic scene after another, for two hours. Versus seldom slows down and, by the time it wraps up, you feel as though you’ve binged three or four wild B-grade action movies in a row, rather than just a single one. Whether this is a reason to watch or avoid Versus is entirely up to you.
8
‘Allegro non troppo’ (1976)
Pretty much everyone knows about Fantasia, which is one of the most important animated movies ever made, famously for the way it blends animation and classical music through a series of very memorable and eye-catching segments. Less well-known is Allegro non troppo, which could be sarcastically labeled as “Fantasia, but Italian, and also a bit weirder,” but it’s also pretty good.
Not as good as the movie it feels like it borrows the most from, but if you want to see a bunch of strange and creative images while having a cinematic experience that feels genuinely psychedelic, that’s just what Allegro non troppo provides. It might be all about vibes over anything else, so call it shallow if you want to, but what imaginative vibes there are to be found here, of both the pleasant and not-so-pleasant variety.
7
‘Beau Is Afraid’ (2023)
After directing Hereditary and Midsommar, both of which were horror movies, Ari Aster directed Beau Is Afraid, which… was almost/sort of a horror movie? But not entirely. It’s a difficult one to try and explain, since it’s meant to feel like something between a panic attack and a fever dream (maybe even both at the same time) for what ends up being a very long time, since the movie clocks in at just under three hours.
The title character here has to travel a great distance to get to his mother’s funeral, basically. Along the way, various messy, chaotic, and unpleasant things happen. Beau Is Afraid isn’t very fun, but it’s also not trying to be, and though it asks a lot from you, as a viewer, it is perhaps a trip worth taking if you’re feeling brave enough (and if you have quite a bit of time to spare, too).
6
‘Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster’ (1964)
Sure, the Godzilla series is always a bit more sci-fi than fantasy, but depending on the monster Godzilla fights (or aligns himself with), the series can sometimes function as a bit of both. Take Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, for instance. Ghidorah himself looks a bit like a dragon, which is a fantastical creature (Ghidorah is admittedly from space, though), while Mothra also plays a big part in the film, and she’s more of a mythological/fantastical monster than one of scientific origin.
Also, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is worth mentioning because it was a key film in the progression from Godzilla’s status as a villain to a hero of sorts, since Ghidorah is the real bad guy here, so to speak. It’s a better-than-average giant monster movie, and a good showcase for some of the most iconic monsters to have ever appeared in the Godzilla series.
5
‘Dante’s Inferno’ (1911)
One of the earliest of all feature films, at least of those that haven’t been completely lost to time, Dante’s Inferno is pretty remarkable, and worth watching just because of its place in cinema history. Thankfully, it’s also quite good on top of being historically significant, being an adaptation of one part of Dante Alighieri‘s Divine Comedy; namely, the part that sees Dante being guided through the Nine Circles of Hell.
It’s easy to forgive/overlook the clunkier parts here, considering the movie was released way back in 1911.
Sure, it can all look a bit primitive 115 years later, but also, come on… it’s 115 years later. Dante’s Inferno did a lot for something of its time, and is still admirably unnerving in some ways all these decades later. It’s easy to forgive/overlook the clunkier parts here, considering the movie was released way back in 1911, and felt so tremendously impressive and ambitious for a work of silent cinema.
4
‘Castle in the Sky’ (1986)
It’s interesting looking at the earlier films directed by Hayao Miyazaki, since they’re a little different from the sorts of fantasy movies he got the most acclaim for directing (like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke). Some films of his were a little fantasy and sci-fi at the same time, like Castle in the Sky, which has magic and fantasy elements, sure, but it’s also a little steampunk stylistically, plus robots factor into the plot, too.
It’s also a family-friendly movie that’s not just a kids’ movie, having a lot that people of all ages can appreciate here. Castle in the Sky is a very well-executed “chase/race for a MacGuffin” kind of movie, with that MacGuffin being key (and a key) to accessing the titular castle in the sky. It’s all very imaginative and easy on the eyes, only being held back from technical “top-tier Miyazaki” status because he made a handful of true masterpieces that were somehow even better.
3
‘Holy Motors’ (2012)
Holy Motors does not play out over a lengthy period of time, but it does take you to many different locations and forces you to try (and maybe fail) to comprehend a variety of unusual sights, with the whole thing feeling deliberately episodic. The main character is a man with a series of strange tasks he has to undertake, with each of them requiring him to adopt a new identity.
It’s a film directed by Leos Carax, who’s never been afraid to make strange, distressing, and perplexing movies, with Holy Motors being maybe the most intense of all his movies, when it comes to those aforementioned adjectives. That makes it perhaps a bit much, and some stretches of the film are more absorbing than others, but it does overall remain an unusual cinematic trip worth taking.
2
‘Hellboy II: The Golden Army’ (2008)
Guillermo del Toro has always been closely associated with the fantasy genre, since he’s one of the best directors in recent memory to have really explored (and arguably elevated) that sort of film. Pan’s Labyrinth, for instance, is just about perfect, and there’s an argument to be made that The Devil’s Backbone and The Shape of Water (the latter of which might cross over into sci-fi territory) are almost just as good.
A little further down quality-wise, then, is Hellboy II: The Golden Army, which certainly has its flaws, but also, so much of it’s charming and visually dazzling to such a great extent that the missteps barely register. Also, the biggest obstacle to loving Hellboy II: The Golden Army isn’t really its fault (it was quite clearly set up to be the middle chapter of a trilogy that del Toro ultimately never got to finish, which leaves some things hanging here to a frustrating extent).
1
‘The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’ (2002)
The most controversial pick here, so listen: if you take The Lord of the Rings as a single thing, or one massive movie, then that entire epic is pretty much perfect. It has an opening movie that’s ideal, and then the third movie is everything the final chapter of a trilogy should be, itself having a perfect ending. Or perfect endings. It needed to have a perfect/extended ending, given that it wraps up everything that came before.
But if you look at The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers on its own, then it’s probably the only movie in the trilogy that’s imperfect. Those imperfections, mostly regarding pacing (some things happen a little too quickly, and other things feel a bit drawn-out), are easy to overlook when you judge the trilogy as a whole thing. It feels okay to have a transitional movie within a broader, excellent trilogy, and even if the setup is imperfect, it allows perfect payoffs by the time The Return of the King comes around. And also, The Two Towers is still phenomenal, since even if you judge it as its own movie, the issues still feel like nitpicks (the final act, in particular, is unbelievably good).
