Yung Miami Speaks After Clip Of Daughter Dancing To ‘Spend Dat’
Chile, even the babies are ready to ‘Spend Dat!’ Yung Miami recently had her daughter, Summer Miami, and nephew, Rylo, join her on stage to perform the hit track. Both kids let loose, even doing their version of the song’s viral dance. But not everyone was glad to see these little ones vibe out to ‘Spend Dat.’ And the criticism got loud enough to earn a lil’ clapback from Yung Miami, herself!

The Babies Join Yung Miami For ‘Spend Dat Performance’
Before Summer Miami and Rylo joined Caresha on stage, one video shows them practicing backstage with her. The person who posted the clip, believed to be Rylo’s mom, captioned it: “My baby was scared.” Eventually, Rylo loosened up and he and his cousin previewed their stage moves. Once on stage, Summer Miami didn’t hold back at all and neither did Rylo!
Check out their moment in the spotlight below.
Caresha Addresses Backlash Over Including Kids In Performance
Within an hour of The Shade Room reposting the footage of Summer Miami and Rylo on Sunday (September 6), Yung Miami was in the comment section. Up until that point, the roommates had shared mixed takes on the kids being part of ‘Spend Dat,’ given it’s raunchy lyrics. Some argued that millennial kids listened to much more explicit tunes. Others called YM out for allowing her kids to listen to her music. Ultimately, she stepped in showing 0 regrets about the core memory Summer Miami and Rylo got out of vibing to ‘Spend Dat’ with her.
“I use to do the cry baby and splits in dance contests when I was a lil girl oh yeah and the doodoo brown! Yall go cook,” Yung Miami wrote in TSR’s comment section.
Social Media Weighs In On Miami’s Clapback
Also on Sunday on Instagram, TSR shared Yung Miami’s comment section clap back. That comment section quickly filled with differing opinions. Some agreed with the rapper’s take of knowing much worse songs as a child. Others stood their ground on creating boundaries with music and kids.
@missbritt_toni wrote, “Heavy on the cry baby , that was my finisher move during the contest 😂”
“That’s called Pathology beloved lol 😂 I miss when the parents & grandparents wanted their kids to make BETTER choices for better results🙂↔️…,” @flawednfabulous commented.
“Y’all be acting so holy in the comments 😂 I was too girl so imma be quiet,” @iamshenellesimone said.
“😂😂 Well she’s not wrong crazy part is the ones that always have opinions on things /topics as this was once this same little girl /guy singing & dancing to songs we had no business dancing to and singing too 😂,” @hoostin__made commented.
“I’m from New Orleans… we start twerking at age 2 til infinity… corporate job and all,” @jusbhappi_ said.
“We know we can tell that’s what we tryna say too grown,” @her1ofnone said.
“I knew ‘It Ain’t No Fun’ by Snoop Dogg word for word by the age of 7 and turned out alright! 🤭,” @sweet_p33_ added.
@beezybaby0722 said, “I thought the point was for our kids to learn from our mistakes 🤔🤣”
“No lies are told, us 90’s babies were doing dances. We had no business doing🤷🏾♀️,” @shanae310 commented.
“I feel the dances we did growing up was way worse than what they doing now. I don’t see why it’s so bad,” @sashasleigh added.
“Nothing referring to them.., but why do y’all compare things as if both wasn’t wrong lol,” @joseydemetria wrote.
“Just because you did it too doesn’t make it right. 🤷🏾♀️,” @livethesaltlife4life added.
@iibakidd said, “These comments kill me… We did a whole bunch of stuff that we should not have been doing… Key words: WE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DOING… but because we did it makes it ok for our kids 🤔 kids sneaky and being kids of course but encouraging a lot of thing mess is WILD!!”
“Cleared they a$$!!! Idk why folks be having the most to say about somebody else parenting skills,” @tylersisterr_ commented.
“Facts😹😹😹I use to grab the wall & shake it like a dog,” @filthyrichnae added.
@papidasleeve weighed in, “point is don’t try and look down on others when social media allows yall to forget what we use to do… people only complaining because they can’t do it with theirs. People need to go touch grass again!!! People only negatively speak on things they wish they can do! If they could do it, they would!!!”

Days of our Lives 2-Week Spoilers Sept 7-18: Stephanie CORNERED & Xander SHATTERED!
Days of Our Lives 2-Week Spoilers for Sept 7-18, 2026 stun with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) blindsided and hurt by an attack on her. Plus, we’ve also got Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) crushed with nowhere to turn with his feelings.
Also, the two weeks of September 7th through the 18th, there’s the mystery stalker who drops more clues to Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) and Belle Black (Martha Madison). Plus, we have newcomers playing Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) and also Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti). Let’s dive right into it.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Alex in a Tough Spot
Monday, September 7th on Days of Our Lives. Joy is making things very difficult for Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). This week, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) throws a vase of flowers away. Looks like the one Stephanie sent with a card signed from Kelsey Kiriakis (Lena and Mira Chase). Next week Stephanie is stunned and also just really hurt talking to Alex and this may be about the thing that Joy does to make life harder on Alex. Stephanie just can’t believe it.
And this week she finds out she has to stay at least 10 feet away from Kelsey. So it sounds like it’s some sort of restraining order or maybe terms and conditions for the custody deal. Remember Joy has been putting off signing the papers when Justin keeps calling. The big question is what triggered Joy to tighten the ban against Alex’s wife?
DOOL Spoilers: Theo Suspicious of Johnny
Theo is more suspicious of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) by the day and poor guy is in deeper this week because George O’Halloran (Michael Rose) confront Johnny and asks, “What are you going to do to get him to back the hell off?” So, it sounds like George is worked up about the investigation. And with EJ gone to Italy, this is all falling on CEO Johnny. Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) support from her mom Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) as she wraps up her cancer treatment.
She’s almost done with her ordeal. Chanel’s got one more chemo treatment and then a lumpectomy surgery. Also, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) gets another disturbing memory from the past. Maybe it’s something that she’ll be able to tell Belle that will help with the chest set mystery that they are looking into in Italy.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Cat in a Panic
Tuesday, September 8th on Days of Our Lives. Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) is worried about her boss EJ, but I don’t think she’s worried for him. Cat may be worried about EJ deciding to visit that Italian hospital while he’s overseas. Also this week, Leo grills Cat about Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) dead man switch letter.
It went missing right after Leo told Cat, so he may demand to know if she used her ISA talents to steal it. Leo should honestly just avoid Cat after what she tried to do to Gwen. It was really dirty. I’m sure that Cat’s going to lie and deny like a good spy.
Belle and Chad take their relationship to the next level. They are going to make love for the first time in Italy. And Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) need a favor from the other. And this could be about Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) or Gabi may be asking Kate to keep an eye on Arianna Horton (Vico Escorcia) while she’s gone. Leo also wants answers from Gwen this week.
And this may be about her letter or the counterfeit bags. Meanwhile, a mysterious man is wearing Stefano DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) infamous Phoenix ring and he got it from Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney). And this week, EJ is asking Rita again about his ring. And I’m sure she is again lying to EJ.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Joy Gets Terrifying News
Wednesday, September 9th, on Days of Our Lives, Joy is frightened by a setback. I’m going to call this karma for what she’s done to Stephanie. So, Alex is with Joy at the hospital and he’s hugging and comforting her. She’s crying. They both look upset. So, this may be bad news about her spinal surgery. And Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans encourages Stephanie not to give up on Alex or their marriage despite the adversity they’re going through.
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander both ponder how their lives might have gone differently. They both have strong thoughts about their split while packing up stuff at the mansion. Xander sniffing a green scarf that I bet is Sarah’s. Also this week, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah are in the throes of passion in his bed, but thoughts of Xander still haunt her. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Brady go over what they found in the cover up and the ongoing investigation.
Days Spoilers: Leo Confronts Javi
Thursday, September 10th, on Days of Our Lives, we’ve got Leo confronting Javi Hernandez (Jacob Martinez). And Leo may again push for them to be friends. He just wants to get Javi to hang out, but it shouldn’t be too much longer till he admits that he still loves Leo and they are back together.
Philip and Gabi run into a familiar face at the poker game in Monte Carlo, and they are really taken by surprise. So, Philip and Gabi run into Sydney DiMera, all grown up, and she looks to be playing in the tournament. This is when Sydney Malakeh makes her debut. We should also see her in scenes with her dad EJ soon because he plans to visit her in Italy, but she’s in Monte Carlo right now.
So, she’s not where EJ is, but may return there soon. So, Philip tells Sydney, “The next time we meet, we’ll be at the poker table.” And Sydney taunts Philip and says, “May the best man or woman win.” Philip can’t be happy to see EJ’s daughter there since her dad is the reason behind all their troubles.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Ari Gets Disturbing Shock
Ari gets some disturbing news on Thursday. This may be about Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and it may tie back to Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler). So Ari may be passing the upsetting information on to Holly via text who is out of town. It definitely seems like Mason really hates Holly and we’ll find out why very soon.
So, Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly are doing a weekend getaway, but then something unexpected ruins their fun. Holly and Tate are panicking when she sees something upsetting on her phone, and this may tie back to her new nemesis, Mason. Marlena’s suspicions of EJ grow. This may be about him tagging along to Italy on Belle and Chad’s private trip. I do think that EJ is legit concerned about them being in danger, as well as wanting to see Sydney.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Xander Opens Up to Maggie
Friday, September 11th on Days of Our Lives. Maggie and Xander have a heart-to-heart. This is a heartfelt serious conversation about his and Maggie’s devastation that they are losing the mansion that Victor built and they’re also on the cusp of losing Titan as well. His whole legacy is at risk. And Xander feels responsible for them losing all of it.
He feels like that he’s lost everything that he holds dear, including Sarah. But I think Maggie will be very reassuring to her ex and future son-in-law. We also have Gwen with some things to get off her chest talking to her bestie Leo. She may be complaining about EJ in the hospital sale. Or this may be Gwen upset that Leo blabbed to Chloe and got her letter stolen. Rita gets new orders from EJ.
Too bad that Rita doesn’t seem to be following EJ’s orders right now and is answering instead to this mystery man. Speaking of him, he drops another clue for Chad and Belle. We’ll see if it takes them to another country like Ireland because Marlena was talking to Belle about the Celtic knot and ties to Ireland through the Bradies.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Dante Vitali Revealed
Then the week of September 14th through the 18th on Days of Our Lives, we’re going to meet Dante Vitali. He shows up for the first time on Monday, September 14th. He is Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) fiancée and soon to be stepdad to Sydney. So, we could see him in Monte Carlo as Sydney enters the high stakes poker game against high roller Philip, or he may be in Italy. I also wonder if EJ staked Sydney in the poker match to undermine Philip.
Rita’s new master could be revealed soon. There is lots of speculation about who she gave Stefano’s ring to, and obviously he’s the same guy leaving clues for Belle and Chad and watching their every move. We may see Brady proposing to Sarah after she and Victoria move into his place so that they’re going to be a little happy family with him and Rachel and Tate and Sarah and Victoria.
So, we’ll see if she would say yes to Brady’s proposal or not because we know she and Xander are meant to be. Also, Johnny may crack under pressure and confess everything to Brady and Steve. And Cat’s going to keep freaking out over what EJ might find in Italy. And honestly, she’s right to be concerned.

Inside The Misery Of Filming ‘The Uprising’
Andrew Garfield is reflecting on his once-in-a-lifetime experience filming “The Uprising.”
The award-winning actor opened up about his time on set, revealing what he and the other co-stars went through to bring the upcoming adventure movie, set in the medieval era, to the screen.
Andrew Garfield made his mark in the industry after starring in the 2007 movie “Boy A,” for which he earned a BAFTA Award for best actor before moving on to other roles in Hollywood.

Garfield is opening up about his experience filming his upcoming movie last year, while fans wait with bated breath as the release date draws nearer. He described filming the Paul Greengrass-directed movie, set in 1381 England and based on real historical events, as the “best possible” kind of misery.
During a conversation on the “SmartLess” podcast, the actor said he had the “miserable” experience in Munich alongside his co-stars, Jamie Bell, Tommy Hollander, Thomasin McKenzie, and others.
Garfield also explained why they chose that filming location for the 14th-century-based film. “We were shooting because there’s a lot of medieval architecture still in Germany, weirdly,” Garfield recalled.
He added that many scenes were shot at a single location, which was later used to represent different places in the film. “We were mostly in one field in Munich that was being doubled for a lot of different peasants’ fields in Munich. It was miserable,” the actor shared.
Shooting The Historical Movie Was Anything But Luxurious
During the podcast conversation, co-host Jason Bateman echoed his thoughts after hearing Garfield’s description of what filming in Munich was like for the cast last year.
“That sounds like a very uncomfortable shoot. A peasant war film. I’m not imagining a lot of luxury on that one,” Bateman highlighted, to which the Golden Globe responded with a laugh before throwing a joke.
The actor joked that Chuck Schumer was definitely not waiting for him on a yacht at any kind of port after the cameras stopped rolling. However, Garfield praised the movie director, Greengrass, calling him an “incredible filmmaker.”
He described Greengrass to the podcast hosts and listeners as “one of those team captains that kind of makes you want to suffer for him… because he’s driving.”
More From The Blast
Andrew Garfield Was A Recent Subject Of Backlash

While promoting the upcoming movie, which explores how King Richard II imposed brutal taxes on the poorest members of society to fund the Hundred Years’ War and sparked a ferocious rebellion, Garfield was thrown into the spotlight.
During a Q&A session at a Los Angeles screening of “The Uprising,” the “Hacksaw Ridge” star and Greengrass shared what they hoped would stick with the audience.
“Well, first I hope they come and see it, first thing,” Garfield said, noting that he hopes viewers would not only be fixated on the historical setting. He added that he hopes the film is “galvanizing” and “that if any billionaires watch it, they’re scared sh-tless.”
The Blast shared that Garfield’s comment raised heat on social media, including from former L.A. mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, who pointed out that the actor was paid “like $5M for playing billionaire Sam Altman in Artificial.”
The Billionaire Backlash Is Not The ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ Star’s First Rodeo

The billionaire drama is not the first time Garfield has attracted public backlash. Almost a decade ago, the actor stepped on eggshells with the LGBTQ community after he said he was “a gay man right now just without the physical act.”
He made the statement while discussing the steps he took to prepare for his role as Prior Walter in “Angels in America.” His character was a gay man battling AIDS in the 80s, and he shared that at the time, to get into character, he spent his time watching “RuPaul’s Drag Race” with friends on the weekends.
Internet users called the actor out on his statements about being gay and issued warnings to other straight actors not to depict the reality of others as a mere movie role. Other netizens raised questions about Garfield’s sexuality, suggesting that he was a “closeted bi dude” according to reports from Variety.
Andrew Garfield Has Stretched His Talent Over Different Movie Genres

Garfield has taken on many unique roles throughout his acting career, from appearing in the British teenage television series “Sugar Rush” to signing with Marvel to play Peter Parker in “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
The TV star also received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in 2016’s “Hacksaw Ridge,” where he played Desmond Doss, a real-life World War II medic who refused to bear arms because of his Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Britannica detailed that Garfield made his Broadway debut in 2012 playing Biff Loman in a revival of “Death of a Salesman.” In 2018, he went on Broadway as Prior Walter in “Angels in America,” for which he won an Evening Standard Theatre Award for best actor and a Tony for best leading actor in a play.
He was nominated for an Oscar for playing musical theatre pioneer Jonathan Larson in 2021, “Tick, Tick… Boom!” Garfield has also dabbled in other genres, such as romance, crime, and fantasy adventure.

Estranged Wife Of CT Tamburello Calls Him Out
Phaedra Parks and Chris ‘CT’ Tamburello just confirmed their new romance to the public. But that didn’t stop his estranged wife, Catalina White, from adding her two cents. Now, fans are cuttin’ up with reactions to the apparent love triangle and pending paperwork.

What Has Phaedra Parks Said About Her New Man?
So, what’s up with Phaedra Parks and CT? She finally delivered the truth about their current stance during a September 4 appearance on ‘Jeff Lewis Live.’ When asked whether their upcoming date night to the Emmys was meant to be platonic, she replied, “It’s not.” Also, she confirmed that she would be CT’s date at the Creative Arts Emmy on Sept. 5, which did happen.
It could be that the new pair might’ve gotten close while filming season two of the show, ‘The Traitors,’ which aired in 2024. While speaking on ‘Phil Lewis Live’ she confirmed that she’d previously been out with CT, but didn’t specify the date their romance began. Instead, she said it all popped off that “last time” she visited Los Angeles. The new pair are expected to make an appearance in New York this week for a work commitment.

CT Tamburello’s Estranged Wife Sends Him A Message
After E! News reported on CT Tamburello and Phaedra Parks’ relationship, Catalina White made her appearance! She slid into the media outlet’s Instagram comment section with a short but pointed message.
White commented, “Sign the papers,” with three clapping hand emojis.
Additionally, White reportedly told TMZ in early August that her and CT Tamburello’s divorce is “taking a while” and hasn’t been finalized. She and CT married on October 15, 2024 in Florida and don’t share any kids together. According to PEOPLE, Catalina filed to paperwork to split on January 9 of this year, listing their marriage as “irretrievably broken.” It’s unclear what exactly is causing the divorce hold-up. She requested that the judge wave alimony for either party, but is reportedly seeking an equal divide of their marital assets and debt. CT Tamburello later responded to her petition, agreeing with the “broken” label on the marriage and seeking a dissolution of it.
Social Media Reacts To Catalina White’s Request
Meanwhile, in The Shade Room’s IG comment section, the roommates didn’t hold back their thoughts on the situation. More than 3,000 comments later, the feedback was mixed. Some emphasized CT Tamburello’s marital status and called out Phaedra Parks for going that route in dating. Others even made comparisons to Claressa Shields’ situation with Papoose, who is allegedly still legally married to Remy Ma. A few dropped Nene Leakers infamous, “Close your legs to married men” line” while some roomies cracked jokes. Also, roommates appeared to agree with Catalina White’s demand for CT to “sign the papers.”
@nishachristina joked, “Hold on his lawyer is looking over the papers.”
“Baby, Give Phaedra a minute to make sure he good to sign em! 😂😂😂😂,” @__cremedela.creme said.
“Look at the birds making excuses for her dating a married man but when it comes to Claressa they have such to say,” @_mar.iah__ commented.
“He’s MARRIED‼️‼️‼️ Just like Papoose‼️ MARRIED IS MARRIED! Divorced is DIVORCED! separated is MARRIED! Stop making it complicated Geesh 😡,” @harmony_devoe said.
“Phaedra is a lawyer she got connections she’ll make sure you get to papers sis.. 😂,” @golden_papii_ said.

“Now I better see some Claressa Shields level hating in these comments 👀 that man is MARRIED 😂,” @talia_e29 wrote.
“‘Close your legs to married men’ @neneleakes 😂,” @mrgonzalez56 commented.
“She right! Sign the papers! Idk why y’all like dating married men! Date when it’s finalized,” @_christinabinaa added.
“She’s not wrong sign the papers and get it over with. Publicly dating, but still legally married has always been a wild concept to me,” @augustblue93 said.
“I just know Phaedra isn’t referring to a married man as a prize! 🤦🏿♀️,” @britt_royal commented.
“🤷🏾♀️ being married for a decade has taught me in situations like this. You don’t leave comments on social media. You take a photo you send it to your attorney and you save it to a file called evidence and you let your actions do the talking. Social media only publicizes a situation, not resolves it,” @bowepilove added.
“Not Phaedra the Attorney dating a MARRIED MAN 😮,” @yummiestm85 weighed in.
“Why everybody mad she wanna be legally divorced??? Yall clearly would date a married man,” @gabriellefine_ commented.
“Oh he will and Phae Phae gonna write them up,” @ch0cbabi joked.
“Not she dating someone else husband too🤦🏽♀️,” @sprobbins_ added.
@wog_kt07 said, “Like I said keep that same energy y’all had for Clarissa Shields… And Phaedra dogged Kim Biermann about messing with a married man. And now here she goes 🤦🏾♀️.”

General Hospital 2-Week Spoilers Sept 7-18: Jason PLEADS & Trina UNLOADS!
Hey, General Hospital fans, we’ve got your latest 2-Week Spoilers for Sept 7-18, 2026 with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) begging somebody to stop before things go too far. Plus, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is understandably enraged and explodes on somebody who wrecked her family.
Also, in the two weeks of September 7th through the 18th, we got the cops looking at the wrong suspect, three possible arrests are in the works and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)’s life is on the line.
General Hospital Spoilers: Labor Day Repeat & Ava on the Spot
So, let’s jump right in. Monday, September 7th, by the way, is Labor Day and General Hospital is airing a repeat episode. This is an encore from February 20th of this year. It is the tribute episode that honored the late Anthony Geary as the legendary Luke Spencer. It was a real good episode.
Tuesday, September 8th on General Hospital. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) asks Ava Jerome (Maura West) where she has been the last 24 hours. He’s trying to find out where she got that tick. So, she needs to think of a lie real fast. Also, Britt’s life is in danger. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is holding her at gunpoint. She’s got Britt standing on a murder tarp out in the woods. Thankfully, Jason gets there soon and is going to beg and plead with Anna to stop.
Looks like she turns the gun on Jason and Anna says she won’t let him stop her. Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) takes his anger out on somebody. He’s furious that Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) was at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)’s with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Drew rages at both of them and afterwards Alexis tells Sonny it’s time to change tactics.
GH Spoilers: Ava Talks Drew Down
Also, Ava’s with Drew over at his house and asks, “Don’t you think calling the sheriff’s a little extreme? He may be calling to report Alexis for violating the restraining order. Scout asks Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) if this is okay. And I think it’s about them kissing. And we’ve got Trina in a full-on rage and she is blasting Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about her being the second driver in Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) accident and leaving them to die.
I’m sure Brook Lynn is going to insist she didn’t see the crash, which is the truth, but I don’t think that’s going to stop the rage from Trina. Isaiah and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) are caught off guard by someone. So Trina may show up and tell them she just found out Brook Lynn was the second driver in Jordan’s accident. Trina might be telling Isaiah she now knows he’s innocent because she did have some doubts because she wanted to believe her dad Curtis who was wrong.
General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Goes after Willow
Wednesday, September 9th on General Hospital. Somebody drops in on Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). We know that Drew is going to stop by her congressional office this week, but she may get more than one visitor. Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) wants answers. He lays into Brook Lynn and General Hospital spoilers confirm that her secret about the wreck could destroy the progress she’s made with Gio. We also have Brook Lynn blocking the front door of the Quartermain Mansion this week. Looks like she’s trying to stop Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) from walking out.
Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) gets an eyeful of something and this could be what’s going on with Brook Lynn. And Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) learns something shocking. And this may be about Brook Lynn from Gio, or it could be about her grandma Anna, who is mentally unstable. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) firmly stands her ground on Wednesday. And this may be about Hudson.
GH Spoilers: Jason Issues Warning
Then Thursday, September 10th on General Hospital. We’ve got Jason delivering a warning. I’m sure it involves Anna. Maybe Jason’s even warning Anna. And Chase opens up to his ex-partner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). I think Chase is angry at Brook Lynn and he may vent to Dante.
He may even tell him the whole truth. Emma is very remorseful of her actions and this could involve Anna or Gio. And somebody writes Brook Lynn a harsh reality check. This could be Trina and Gio not wanting her to manage them. Could be Chase. Could be Jordan who probably is going to rage at Brook Lynn.
General Hospital Spoilers: Willow & Nina in Trouble
Friday, September 11th on General Hospital. We’ve got Drew toying with Willow. We could see Drew telling her she better hope Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) turns back up or they have no way to stop him from going to the cops because with Jack gone, Drew can report what Willow and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) did to him.
The shooting, the locked in drugging, the attempted drowning, all of it. We also have Jason butting heads with somebody that he cares about. I suspect this is Britt and they may be at odds over Anna because Jason knows that she needs serious psychiatric help and may be asking Britt, “Please don’t have her arrested for trying to kill you.”
Fall spoilers say that Britt and Jason come to an impasse and I’m betting it’s about Anna because Jason’s good friends with Anna and he’s going to see she needs help. Jason also knows Britt’s had many second chances and should show grace to Anna, but Britt is selfish and may not. Elsewhere, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) goes behind Brook Lynn’s back. I tend to think that Tracy’s going to go to Chase and advocate for Brook Lynn.
And Tracy may explain that Brook Lynn wanted to come clean the next day once she realized there was a wreck, but Tracy wouldn’t let her. She can also explain that Brook Lynn wanted to come clean several times after that, but every time Tracy scared her out of it. Still, I don’t think any of that’s going to hold much water with Chase. Plus, he can’t stand it when Tracy covers up things and uses her influence to get the Quartermain’s out of actual consequences.

GH Spoilers: Valentin Stresses Out
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is really worried about Nina. She may be arrested soon because Drew is setting her up to go down for Brennan. This is the second arrest. The first one, meaning Alexis may face arrest because it looks like adorable little beagle, Outback, is about to dig up Agent Brennan, which would be really bad because Nina was witnessed threatening Jack at the Metro Court.
Also, next week, Valentin is with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in her office at the Metro Court. They’re both looking stressed but we know Carly wont cate abt Nina. Also, Jordan shares a revelation. So, she may go out to Pentonville to tell Curtis that Brook Lynn was just exposed as the second driver and that yes, Curtis was completely wrong about Isaiah.
Maybe we’ll see some genuine remorse. I mean, Curtis should be kicking himself. Plus, Isaiah was super nice to drop this civil suit when Curtis absolutely owes him compensation for that brutal assault that may have ruined his surgical career. Thankfully, his hands getting better. I’m interested to see what Curtis does after he finds out Isaiah has been exonerated in every way and there’s no hint of any suspicion.
General Hospital Spoilers: New Season of GH Kicks Off
September 14th through the 18th on General Hospital, we will have season 40 kicking off on that Monday. Plus, Carly finds Valentin comforting Anna. And I’m sure by now Valentin knows Anna is not well and he may find out she’s hallucinating Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Hopefully, somebody’s going to get Anna the help she needs. Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) reconnect soon. Hopefully, we’ll see more of him with Serena Baldwin (Kelly Krueger) as well.
Nina’s going to be in the hot seat with the cops because Drew’s framing her for Brennan’s death. Valentin may try and help Nina. Carly may not like that. She’s understanding about Valentin being there for Anna, but Nina is a whole other kettle of fish. Brook Lynn’s going to be scrambling. She’s going to want to make things right with Chase, with Gio, and with Trina. And we may see Brook Lynn going into the cop shop to make an official statement.
BLQ Loses Gio on GH?
And Gio may cut Brook Lynn out of his life again, at least in the short run. Curtis is going to be in for a rude awakening when he finds out just how wrong he was about Isaiah. Honestly, I feel at this point he should cut a check to him for damages for that assault once this comes out and basically is like a settlement since he dropped the civil suit. Jason and Britt seem to be on the road to Splitzville because of this Anna ordeal.
We’ll get more of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis in Pentonville. Willow’s in big trouble now that Brennan is missing and soon confirmed dead because that means the evidence against Drew is either inaccessible or gone. We may see Drew going after revenge on Willow. He’s already taken care of Nina. Chase & Brook Lynn’s marriage may be at risk and Emma’s going to be devastated to hear what is going on with Anna.

NHL Prospect Austin Roest Reacts to Girlfriend’s Cancer Diagnosis
NHL prospect Austin Roest shared a message of support after his girlfriend, Milly Okabe, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
“Milly, I don’t even know what to say,” Roest, 22, wrote via Instagram on Friday, September 4. “I am so sorry this is happening to you. No one deserves to go through this. That being said, I have no doubt in my mind you will beat cancer. You are the strongest person I know and I know you will overcome everything that comes your way over the next year. I love you so much and I will be right there with you through all of this ❤️.”
The hockey player shared two pictures from Okabe’s hospital bed, while urging his followers to donate to a GoFundMe set up “to help support Milly and her family during this difficult time.”
Roest was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft. He split last season between the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals and the ECHL’s Atlanta Gladiators.
According to the GoFundMe, Okabe, 22, was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma, a type of cancer that starts in the glands that line the organs.
Okabe revealed her diagnosis on Friday in a social media post of her own.
“There’s a lot of fear of the unknown, but what I do know is that I am extremely lucky in this life to have friends that are family, and a family that loves me this hard,” she shared via Instagram.
Okabe added, “Thank you to everyone who has supported me in any way. I’m so extremely grateful.”

Roest and Okabe have been dating for over three years, per the athlete’s Instagram. “1 year with the best ❤️,” he gushed in June 2024.
Okabe, a former figure skater, is described as “a kind, strong and selfless person who means so much to everyone around her,” in the fundraiser arranged in her honor.
“Skating has always been a huge part of Milara’s life,” the GoFundMe reads. “After spending years as a high-level skater herself, she now loves being able to share that passion by teaching kids how to skate. Outside of the rink, she is constantly with the people she loves the most — her friends and family, as well as simply having the most fun in everything she does.”
The page continues, “As Milara goes through treatment, her family is doing everything possible to remain by her side. Along with the emotional weight of her diagnosis, she is now facing time away from work, travel and accommodation costs, medications, fertility preservation, and many other unexpected expenses. Our hope is to surround Milara and her family with the same love and support they have always shown the people around them. By easing some of the financial pressure, we hope they can focus their energy on what matters most right now Milara’s care, well-being, and spending time together as a family.”
Okabe’s GoFundMe had raised over $50,000 at the time of this story’s publication.

Haven’t you heard? Burgundy is the new black — at least according to Jennifer Lopez, who has been opting for workout gear in the deep red hue. We must admit, the color is much more posh than your basic black leggings, but you don’t need to drop major money to replicate J-Lo’s ‘rich girl’ look.
Lopez has never been shy about showing off her physique. The multi-hyphenate stepped out in her enviable burgundy leggings, and we’ve been dreaming of them since. Is it just Us or do her abs and legs look even more toned in her burgundy leggings? Maybe it’s a placebo or maybe it’s the color — either way, we’re adding these $18 burgundy leggings to our athletic wear STAT.

I see no point in paying for designer leggings when, from experience, many of them pill and fade within a year. The Ododos Buttery Soft Lounge Yoga Leggings, on the other hand? These smooth, stretchy bottoms rival high-end brands and are even customizable. Choose between a 23, 25, or 28-inch inseam, as well as 26 colors. (You know we’re smitten with the burgundy, though.)
While these affordable leggings were designed for heartbeat-raising activities, they’re also great for lounging and definitely fit in with the chill athleisure vibe. You could totally wear them to brunch too without a second thought. Gotta love the versatility.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you decide to purchase these leggings in more colors once you slip into them — many shoppers have. “I cannot say enough good things about these leggings,” one Amazon reviewer writes. “They truly are buttery soft and fit great (true to size). I plan to purchase them again in different colors.”
We have a feeling you’ll completely ditch black leggings, too, just like J-Lo in favor of the burgundy Ododos Buttery Soft Lounge Yoga Leggings — but get yours ASAP because burgundy is about to be the top color for fall. It’d be a shame if this sold out before you nabbed a pair.

Mama June’s Dress Sale Revives Daughter’s Divorce Drama
Mama June Shannon is helping daughter Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon clear out one major reminder of her short-lived marriage.
Just days after Jessica’s divorce from Shyann McCant became final, the reality TV matriarch put her daughter’s $1,500 wedding dress up for sale at a steep discount.
The timing is particularly striking after what began as an amicable breakup descended into a public cheating controversy involving June herself.

June didn’t dance around the reason Jessica’s wedding dress was suddenly looking for a new owner.
“Well the marriage didn’t work, but the wedding dress was beautiful,” she declared in an Instagram post advertising the gown.
The “Mama June: Family Crisis” star said the size 20W dress had not been altered and even came with pockets. She also disclosed something prospective buyers might want to know before handing over their money.
The dress “hasn’t been dry cleaned,” June acknowledged, while insisting there were “no stains.”
According to Us Weekly, June originally paid $1,500 for the gown and is now asking $800. She said shipping and local pickup in Gray, Georgia, were available.
Despite the marriage’s unhappy ending, June still described it as “a beautiful dress for a beautiful bride.”
Fans Had Plenty To Say About The Uncleaned $800 Dress

Unsurprisingly, Mama June’s sales pitch quickly became almost as entertaining as the item itself.
One commenter couldn’t get past her opening line, writing, “‘Well the marriage didn’t work’ like June please not today.”
Another was considerably less amused by the revelation that the gown had yet to visit the cleaners.
“Goodness have it dry clean that’s gross!” the commenter wrote, before acknowledging that the dress itself was “very beautiful” and saying they wouldn’t pay $800 for a worn gown in its current condition.
Others focused less on June’s sales technique and more on Jessica’s heartbreak.
“I’m sorry it didn’t work out Jes, you looked so beautiful, & your happily ever after is still out there,” one supporter wrote.
Meanwhile, June’s unusual Facebook Marketplace-style pitch may actually work as one prospective bride jumped into the comments with, “I’m interested!!! I have a fall wedding next year!”
The reactions turned an otherwise painful reminder of Jessica’s marriage into a surprisingly lighthearted post, but the story behind the dress has been considerably messier.
Jessica Shannon’s Divorce Became Final Days Before The Sale
The listing arrived shortly after Jessica officially closed the door on her marriage.
A Georgia judge finalized her divorce from McCant on August 27, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Jessica also regained her maiden name, Jessica Louise Shannon. The former spouses reached a settlement in July, and the final order restrained both women from harassing each other.
Additional court documents obtained by Us Weekly showed there was no alimony listed, marital property to divide or marital debt between them.
Jessica filed for divorce on July 24 and described the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” She listed June 1 as their separation date.
The couple had married in 2025 before filming another wedding ceremony for “Mama June: Family Crisis.”
The timing initially confused some viewers because their televised wedding had only recently aired when Jessica announced the breakup. PEOPLE noted that the split became public less than three weeks after viewers watched their wedding on the show’s Season 8 finale.
More From The Blast
Mama June Turned The Breakup Into A Public Cheating Battle

Jessica initially tried to keep the split civil.
“As most of y’all can tell, me and Shyann are no longer together,” she wrote in June, explaining that they had mutually decided separating was best.
She emphasized that they remained friends and asked followers not to direct hate toward either of them.
However, that quiet approach didn’t last. In July, June publicly accused McCant of cheating and identified the woman she claimed her daughter’s estranged wife had left her for.
McCant subsequently acknowledged being unfaithful. “Yes, I cheated. I take full responsibility for that,” McCant wrote, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
However, she also pushed back against June’s version of events. McCant said she had been unhappy and claimed she repeatedly asked Jessica for a divorce before the affair, adding that “issues involving her mother” were a significant reason she wanted out.
Still, McCant stressed that those circumstances did not excuse her infidelity.
Jessica Shannon Took A Different Approach To The Messy Fallout
While her mother and ex traded accusations publicly, Jessica eventually struck a surprisingly conciliatory tone.
After the cheating controversy exploded, Jessica confirmed she knew McCant was involved with Mackenzie and acknowledged that she had initially been hurt.
However, she said she no longer cared about their relationship and wanted everyone involved to be happy.
Her priority, she explained, was maintaining her relationship with a young girl named Harper whom she had grown close to during the relationship.
That response stood in contrast to the public war surrounding her as Jessica appeared more interested in moving forward than relitigating what had gone wrong.

Arizona State Hockey Releases Statement About Matthew Mayich
The Arizona State University men’s hockey team released a statement about sophomore defenseman Matthew Mayich, weeks after he collapsed during a controversial outdoor workout.
“Thinking of you 27 💛,” the statement read, which was issued by the team via social media on Saturday, September 5. “Matthew — your ASU teammates and the entire Sun Devil community are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”
Mayich, 21, suffered heat stroke and remains hospitalized after collapsing during a team workout on August 20. His family’s lawyer, Robert Carey, said Mayich has “zero chance of recovery.”
The Sun Devil hockey team was participating in a nearly hour-long, military-style workout led by a former Green Beret. Carey exclusively told Us he’s “confident” Mayich was not given any water throughout the entire process.
Mayich was allegedly left on the ground for several minutes after collapsing, according to Carey. The attorney further alleged that Mayich was not immediately rushed to a cooling station or placed in an ice bath once he attended to.
A formal police investigation into the incident was opened last week, with multiple players on the team being questioned.
“These kids are scared,” Carey told Us on Thursday, September 3. “The ones that are still there, they’re scared. They think they might lose their scholarships. They think the program might crumble. They might not get playing time if they cross the coach.”
Carey added, “As the investigator, you have to separate the witnesses from the people being investigated. When you have people in a hierarchical system like this, you need to put people on leave and do the investigation so that people have a safe space in which they can be honest. That’s all we ask. We just want them to be transparent and tell everybody what’s going on.”
The lawyer suggested that the coaches who were present for the workout should be placed on leave as the investigation unfolds.
“The family wants a full and complete investigation,” Carey said. “To me, as a lawyer and former prosecutor, that requires you separate witnesses from their supervisors.”
While he waits for the investigation to play out, Carey told Us he “already knows what’s going on.”
“I’ve talked to enough people where I know what happened on the field that day,” he said. “When I get my facts out, it’s going to be…it’s horrific. They didn’t plan it right, they didn’t execute it right and they weren’t prepared for the likely scenario of heat stroke. They were utterly unprepared for it.”
In a statement to Us on Thursday, a spokesperson for Arizona State said, “The morning outdoor workout was a team event at which coaches and training staff were present along with a third party who had previously worked with the ASU Hockey team.”
“Sun Devil Athletics also has heat-illness guidelines in place; these guidelines are informed by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association,” the statement added. “SDA student-athletes regularly practice and train outside, under coach and trainer supervision.”
Mayich had recently arrived on the Arizona State campus after transferring from Clarkson University, where he played his freshman year. He was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft.

Deiondra Sanders Airs Out Jacquees And His Mama On Social Media
Sanders shared the messages on her Instagram Stories on Sunday evening and claimed that Jacquees’ mother, Rosie Thompson, hadn’t let her speak to her son.
Sanders and the rapper have shared their co-parenting issues with fans in the past, and not only did the 34-year-old claim Thompson kept her from speaking to Snow, but she also said that Rosie and her son only respond when Jacquees’ public image is affected.
“I miss my baby,” she wrote. “Hopefully I can talk to him soon or hear back from someone. @19goldenrose. jacquees please call me soon as you get with him tomorrow. I don’t like doing this but this the only way yall respond when it effects y’all’s image.”
Furthermore, Sanders returned to her Story to add that she needed to speak to her 2-year-old child daily and know who he’s with and where he’s at.
“Y’all can say what y’all want about me, but I’m a MOM,” she continued. “If you’re not spending time with our child on your time, keep him home with me. I need to know where my child is, who he’s with if he isn’t with you the whole time, and speak to him every day. We’re very attached, especially after what happened last time.”
Fans Share Support To Sanders
After the posts were shared on TSR’s Instagram page, Roomies weighed in with support for the single mother. However, other folks claimed that she should leave Jacquees alone during his time with the toddler.
User @novemberzown13 wrote, “I wouldn’t care who’s he with. If I take care of my child everyday then that means I’m use to seeing and talking to them everyday. Let me talk to my damn child. I don’t see how y’all don’t understand that.”
@fantastic4eva added, “Agree! If she asked to speak to him it’s nothing wrong with them responding to her and saying okay I’m going to have him call you that’s it. The adults need to stop. He can’t call himself. All she wants to do is say hello. And I pray when she’s with him if he calls she puts snow on the phone.”
User @cakesbynayyy emphasized Snow’s age. “right plus he’s young so I’d need some type of communication.”
@notnicenails added, “I mean it’s not hard to answer the phone and let him talk real quick butttttt girl he’s with his dad enjoy your free time.”
@simplyandreab replied, “Come on y’all!!! Co-Parenting shouldn’t come to this??? For either parent not to be able to communicate with their child is just NOT right!! Back to court we gonna go…….. stop this! Snow deserves better!!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.”
User @brittany.diangelis wrote, “Naw I’m with her I freak out when I can’t reach my kid or have any updates on him ion care who he with.”
@lovee_softly added, “That’s her first and only one right now so I feel her I be missing my baby too but I do enjoy my free time It will get better one day for you just stick with Jesus sug ❤️.”
Jacquees Previously Shared Cryptic Post About Fathers Being Kept From Sons
Jacquees shared a cryptic post about keeping fathers from their sons back in December 2025, and Sanders clapped back with a strong denial about their co-parenting.
“Women should go to jail for keeping father’s away from their kids,” he wrote at the time.
Sanders denied the accusation and shared photographs and video showing Snow spending time with Jacquees.
“Y’all gone stop playing with me,” she wrote in the post. “One thing I’m not is bitter. I’m not keeping anyone from they son. I’m not speaking on this anymore.”
In May 2026, Sanders shared another message on Instagram Stories about co-parenting and claimed she “never” stopped Jacquees from seeing Snow.
“Let’s make this clear,” she wrote. “I never stopped Snow daddy from seeing him, nor being a father, despite the lies he and his family told y’all. Please leave me out every time yall post him.”
Jacquees clapped back and called Sanders a liar.
“… She’s lying,” he wrote. “this is terrible smh can somebody please help her? I’m tired.”
Sanders responded by claiming that the two had just spoken on FaceTime.
“🤣🤣🤣🤣 don’t start we just got off FaceTime, cool,” she wrote. “Don’t let us pull the receipts so please stop. I’m a damn good momma and def not bitter. YOU KNOW THAT and you been seeing your child without me. Yall be mad because I speak on things yall bring up. People be mad because I respond. YALL. Leave me alone, PLEASE lol”

9 Greatest Animated Shows With Fewer Than 40 Episodes
When it comes to finding new cartoons to watch, sometimes you want something short that you can get through in a reasonable time. Other times, you may be looking for something brief that will entertain your kids. Wherever you find yourself in your search for animated media, there are plenty of great shows out there that stunned viewers in under 40 episodes — from classic cartoons to modern 3D animation.
We’ve already put together a list of the greatest animated shows under 50 episodes, but we wanted to narrow our focus even more to the 40-episode range. Whether you prefer older material or enjoy new cartoons, there’s something here for everybody. While shows like Gravity Falls, ThunderCats, and the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! all fall above that 40-episode threshold, there are still plenty of solid animated series out there worth diving into. Here are some of the best.
‘Justice League Unlimited’ (2004–2006)
When it comes to superhero animation, there are few shows that surpass Justice League Unlimited. A continuation of the original Justice League animated series, this sequel follows the newly expanded League as they battle new threats both foreign and domestic. Batman (Kevin Conroy), Superman (George Newbern), Wonder Woman (Susan Eisenberg), and Green Lantern (Phil LaMarr) help lead these costumed heroes in a series of standalone epics and serialized plots that lead to some epic showdowns.
As one of DC’s greatest animated masterpieces, JLU is everything a fan could want from superhero animation. Not only does the series build on the foundation of previous DC Animated Universe installments, but it offers character studies on some of the more obscure and underappreciated figures in comic book lore. Justice League Unlimited is the gold-standard for how to tell a team-based superhero story, and it continues to delight all these years later.
‘Invader Zim’ (2001–2006)
Created for Nickelodeon by cartoonist Jhonen Vasquez, Invader Zim is probably one of the most beloved cartoons of its era. Although the series only ran for 27 episodes (plus the original pilot), Zim (Richard Steven Horvitz) is committed only to the goal of universal domination — though he’s consistently his worst enemy in achieving it. Along with GIR (Rosearik Rikki Simons), Zim does all he can to rule the Earth, but humorously fails at every chance.
The series was a fun mixture of sci-fi, horror, and comedy that leaned more into slapstick humor than anything else. Still, Invader Zim garnered a faithful audience over the years, and even long after its cancellation, folks returned to the underappreciated cartoon cult classic for more. Eventually, Zim returned in the feature film Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus.
‘Jonny Quest’ (1964–1965)
Yes, that’s right. The original Jonny Quest, regardless of how popular it has become, only ran for 26 short episodes. Also known as The Adventures of Jonny Quest, the program followed the young hero (Tim Matheson), his father Dr. Benton Quest (John Stephenson, Don Messick), his adoptive brother Hadji Singh (Danny Bravo), special agent “Race” Bannon (Mike Road), and their faithful dog Bandit as they found themselves investigating strange occurrences around the world. These were the type of adventures every young boy wanted.
While certainly not the only classic cartoon of its era to gain infamy despite a small number of episodes (Space Ghost was another), Jonny Quest is one of the most important of its day. Reruns ultimately made it popular with viewers from different generations, and the series was revived years later with The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (which ran a bit longer). To this day, Jonny Quest is one of the few classic animated characters without his own animated movie.
‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’ (2008–2009)
Some may be rolling their eyes seeing The Spectacular Spider-Man on this list, but the truth is that this is probably the best Spider-Man cartoon ever made. Josh Keaton voices teenage Peter Parker as he moonlights as Marvel’s greatest Wall-Crawler, protecting New York City (and his friends and family) from the likes of maniacal villains who keep popping up around town. Not only does Spectacular focus on Spidey’s costumed adventures, but it does great work establishing Peter’s personal life as well.
As far as superhero cartoons go, Spectacular Spider-Man is among the most grounded. It takes its time to unveil certain aspects of Peter’s life and Spidey mythology, while also faithfully re-imagining certain aspects of the original comics for younger audiences. That said, the show never talks down to the viewer, and offers a mature tone while still maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere. For the most notable installments, here are the best Spectacular Spider-Man episodes to start with.
‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ (2011–2013)
Another superhero animated series starring Josh Keaton in the titular role, Green Lantern: The Animated Series is an excellent take on the Green Lantern mythos that likewise repurposes the best aspects of the comic books into a format perfect for all ages. When Green Lanterns Hal Jordan (Josh Keaton) and Kilowog (Kevin Michael Richardson) steal the Interceptor spaceship to respond to a distress call in “Frontier Space,” they encounter the villainous Red Lantern Corps, whose sole desire is to destroy the Green Lanterns.
GL:TAS not only establishes why Hal is often considered the greatest Green Lantern, but it also introduces new additions to the mythos in the form of the redeemable Red Lantern Razer (Jason Spisak) and the A.I. known as Aya (Grey DeLisle). Some have counted Green Lantern among the best superhero cartoons ever made, and we can’t argue with that. It’s one of the few that got better with each episode.
‘Star Wars: Clone Wars’ (2003–2005)
No, we’re not talking about Star Wars: The Clone Wars here, but rather the original animated epic by Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky simply titled Star Wars: Clone Wars. The animated microseries was released in segments between the theatrical runs of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, chronicling the battle between the Jedi Knights and their clone army and the Separatists’ battle droids. As far as Star Wars is concerned, this installment is nearly perfect.
Between the stunning animation and excellent character work done with Anakin Skywalker (Mat Lucas) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor) in particular, Clone Wars was every Star Wars fan’s dream back when it first aired on Cartoon Network. It was the best piece of marketing that Lucasfilm ever released regarding the prequel trilogy, and certainly holds up all these years later. The Clone Wars is great, there’s no doubt about it, but Clone Wars was truly something special.
‘Freakazoid!’ (1995–1997)
When it comes to action-adventure sci-fi comedy programs in the mid-’90s, Freakazoid! certainly wasn’t the only game in town. The Tick and Earthworm Jim were other popular superhero satires that gained notoriety at the time. However, it was Freakazoid! that has gone down in infamy as one of the best of its kind, invented by Batman: The Animated Series scribes Bruce Timm and Paul Dini (and produced by none other than Steven Spielberg). The catchy theme song was no doubt a help.
Freakazoid! was originally meant to be a superhero show with comedic undertones, but it quickly morphed into a bonkers animated series that rarely let up. It’s the type of cartoon that has no problem with meta humor or self-referential gags. Freakazoid (Paul Rugg) himself is always living up to the name, making the life of his alter-ego Dexter Douglas (David Kaufman) a bit more hectic than the teenage computer wiz ever anticipated. But he always did it for our amusement, and amused we were.
‘The New Scooby-Doo Movies’ (1972–1973)
We weren’t able to include the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! on this list due to its slightly high episode count, but there was no way the Mystery Inc. gang wasn’t going to make it on this list in some fashion. The second series in a long run of Scooby-Doo cartoons, The New Scooby-Doo Movies were extended 40-minute mysteries that paired up Scooby (Don Messick) and the gang — including Shaggy (Casey Kasem), Fred (Frank Welker), Daphne (Heather North), and Velma (Nicole Jaffe) — with every popular celebrities, fictional or otherwise, every week.
The New Scooby-Doo Movies were a blast. Want to watch the Mystery Inc. gang team up with Batman and Robin? No problem! The Harlem Globetrotters? Sure! The Three Stooges? Absolutely! The sky was literally the limit when it came to who this Scooby-Doo series would bring on — even Dick Van Dyke made an appearance. Though it only ran for 24 episodes, The New Scooby-Doo Movies is one of those cartoons that you can’t believe happened, but you’re better off having seen. For its modern equivalent, check out Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? for more!
‘X-Men ’97’ (2024–Present)
Okay, this one may be a bit of a cheat… X-Men ’97 is not only still running (having been renewed already), but it’s technically a continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series. As such, the show relies heavily on pre-established Marvel Animated Universe lore and mythology that comes back into play here on this program. That said, newcomers can still enjoy this animated epic that follows the battle between mutants who wish to coexist with the world and those who wish to subject mankind to their whims.
What’s great about X-Men ’97 is that it expertly captures the tone and feel of the original show while still making itself accessible to new fans. Unlike most X-Men media, it doesn’t so narrowly focus on Wolverine (Cal Dodd) that it looses sight of its best cast members. In fact, Cyclops (Ray Chase) finally gets his due as the leader of the X-Men. With two seasons under its belt thus far, X-Men ’97 continues to remind us that one can both honor the source material and tell original stories simultaneously if one has the care to do so.
