How Luxury Sneakers Became the Ultimate Celebrity Off-Duty Staple

In the fast-paced world of high fashion, the line between red-carpet glamour and everyday street style has officially blurred. No longer are fashion icons and tastemakers forced to navigate the bustling streets of New York or Los Angeles in restrictive stilettos just to make a sartorial statement. Instead, the modern it-girl wardrobe & celebrity street style has undergone a monumental shift toward relaxed, high-low dressing, where comfort and luxury coexist in perfect harmony. At the absolute center of this wardrobe revolution is a single, transformative item that has successfully evolved from a simple casual necessity into a definitive luxury statement: premium sneakers.
A quick scroll through paparazzi shots and social media feeds confirms that the standard it-girl outfit inspo now relies heavily on effortless styling. Whether running errands between shoots, grabbing a matcha latte, or heading to an exclusive after-party, today’s style icons are pairing oversized tailored blazers, fluid silk slip dresses, and relaxed denim with eye-catching footwear. The demand for luxury sneakers women has skyrocketed because these pieces offer the perfect touch of edge to an otherwise polished ensemble. They represent a deliberate rejection of traditional, rigid dress codes in favor of an authentic, lived-in aesthetic that feels cool, approachable, and undeniably sophisticated.
When looking at the specific designer footwear celebrities are choosing to anchor their off-duty looks, Golden Goose consistently dominates the street style scene. Famous for pioneering the effortlessly distressed aesthetic, the brand has mastered the art of creating shoes that look perfectly broken-in from the very first wear, making them an absolute favorite among Hollywood’s elite. Whether they are opting for clean, vintage-inspired profiles or bold, textured statements, inserting a pair of luxury sneakers for women by Golden Goose into a daily look instantly elevates the entire outfit. The juxtaposition of a meticulously crafted, hand-finished Italian leather shoe with a casual look epitomizes the “wrong shoe theory,” giving off a confident vibe of “I threw this on, but I still look impeccable.”
This cultural shift is also driving a massive interest in more dramatic silhouettes, with designer platform sneakers gaining significant traction for their ability to add height and attitude without sacrificing comfort. For those moments when the paparazzi cameras are guaranteed to flash, celebrities are even leaning into sparkling embellishments, integrating swarovski crystal sneakers into their evening rotations. This fusion of athletic heritage with high-fashion opulence ensures that the sneaker is no longer just a daytime backup plan, but a primary styling choice capable of carrying an entire look.
Ultimately, the rise of the luxury sneaker as a permanent wardrobe staple proves that modern elegance is defined by how comfortable you feel in your own style. By merging unparalleled craftsmanship with a cool, urban sensibility, these shoes allow women to navigate their demanding schedules with absolute confidence. As we look ahead at the evolving landscapes of fashion, one thing is certain: the luxury sneaker is here to stay, continuing to redefine what it means to look effortlessly chic in the modern world.

The Best Hair Dryer for Curly and Coily Hair: A No-Heat-Damage Home Blowout Guide
The Best Hair Dryer for Curly and Coily Hair: A No-Heat-Damage Home Blowout Guide
A salon-smooth blowout on curly or coily hair usually gets blamed on the stylist’s hands. Most of the time it’s the dryer doing the work. You can get the same result at home, without the crispy ends and heat damage that show up two washes later, once you understand what your hair actually needs from the airflow.
Curls and coils dry differently from straight hair. The cuticle sits raised and the strand holds water longer, so every degree of extra heat you throw at an already-dry section is damage you can’t undo. The goal is controlled, even drying that closes the cuticle and keeps the moisture locked in the strand. High heat works against that.
Prepping before you pick up the dryer
Start on soaking-wet hair that’s already sectioned. If you’ve let it air-dry to damp and frizzy first, you’ve lost the round-brush window and you’ll chase flyaways for the rest of the blowout.
Rough-dry to about 80 percent before you commit to any smoothing. Point the nozzle down the hair shaft, root to tip, and use your fingers or a wide paddle brush to move the water out. Fighting the round brush while the hair is dripping is how you end up cranking the heat and cooking your ends.
Apply a heat protectant to every section while it’s still wet, not after. On coils especially, a leave-in plus a cream gives the cuticle something to hold onto so the strand dries smooth instead of rough.
Choosing a hair dryer for textured hair
This is where the result is won or lost. Wattage matters less than most product pages claim. What you want is strong airflow that stays consistent, a genuine cool shot, ionic technology matched to your texture, and attachments that fit how you actually wear your hair.
Ionic drying matters more on curls and coils than on any other hair type: negative ions break up water droplets so the cuticle dries faster and flatter, which is what actually kills frizz. For textured hair that means reaching for a professional ionic hair dryer rather than a cheap high-heat model that fries the ends before the roots are dry. ghd’s Helios is the one to reach for on coily and afro hair, because it pairs with a diffuser attachment that lets you dry the curl without disturbing the pattern.
The diffuser point is the one people skip. If you’re keeping your curl and just want it dry and frizz-free, a diffuser cups the curl and dries it in place. If you’re blowing out to straight, you’ll want a concentrator nozzle and a round brush instead. One dryer that takes both attachments covers both moods, so you’re not buying twice.
Weight and balance are worth a thought too. A blowout on long, dense coily hair can take 30 to 40 minutes with your arm up the whole time. A lighter body is the difference between finishing the back sections properly and giving up on them.
Working section by section
Clip everything up and work one small section at a time, bottom to top. Small sections dry faster, which means less total heat on any single piece of hair.
For a smooth blowout, load the round brush at the root, follow the brush down the shaft, keep the nozzle pointing the same direction as the hair, and keep the dryer moving. Never park hot air on one spot. When the section is dry, hit it with the cool shot before you drop it. That cold blast is what sets the cuticle flat and locks in the shine, and it’s the step most people at home skip.
For a diffused finish, drop the sections into the diffuser bowl, bring it up to the root, and hold. Don’t shake it around. Movement is what breaks the curl clump and turns definition into frizz.
Keeping the heat honest
Medium heat gets you almost everywhere. Reserve the highest setting for the initial rough-dry, when the hair is wettest and can take it, then step down as the hair dries. The mistake is leaving the dryer on full blast through the smoothing pass, when the strand has the least water left to protect it.
Watch the ends. They’re the oldest, most porous part of the strand and the first to fry. Once a section reads dry, stop. Chasing that last five percent of dampness with hot air is exactly how you get the straw texture that shows up next wash.
If your hair is colour-treated or fine as well as curly, drop everything a notch. Use lighter airflow and lower heat, and give every section more time. Bleached coils have less margin before heat damage stops being reversible.
Making it last
A proper blowout should hold for days if you protect it. Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase, or wrap the hair, so friction doesn’t rough the cuticle back up overnight. Keep water and humidity off it, and resist restyling with more heat on day two. If a section falls, a quick pass with the cool shot and a boar-bristle brush revives it without adding thermal stress.
The dryer you use is doing more than moving hot air around. On textured hair it’s the single tool that decides whether you walk away with shine or with damage. Get that part right and take your time through the sections, and a no-damage home blowout stops being a salon-only result.

Ciara Announces She’s Pregnant With Baby No. 5
Ciara is expecting her fifth child. The singer shared the news on Sunday, September 6th, alongside husband Russell Wilson, captioning their announcement “One more person to Love.”
The reveal came in the form of a sweet backyard video showing shirts for their children, Future, Sienna, Win, and Amora, hanging on a clothesline, followed by an added blank baby onesie representing their newest addition. Ciara then posed beside the clothesline, revealing her baby bump, before she and Wilson held up five fingers together to celebrate baby number five.

This will be Ciara’s fifth child overall and her fourth with Wilson. She is already mom to Future Zahir, whom she shares with rapper Future, along with Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess with Wilson. The couple, married since 2016, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary this past July. Wilson has long expressed his desire to grow their family further, previously telling E! News, “I want to have five, Ciara does too. We’ll see. Hopefully, I can convince her.”

The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends and fans, including La La Anthony.

Dyckman Park, founded in 1990 by Kenneth Stevens, Omar Booth, and Michael Jenkins, has deep roots in Washington Heights and Inwood streetball culture, and Taylor has been attending the tournament since she was a young girl growing up in Harlem.

WHAT I AM WEARING: TRAVEL STYLE FALL 2026

Sweater // Jacket // Scarf // Shoes // Pants // Glasses // Earrings
Jacket // Pants // Sweater // Shoes
This is one of my most requested posts: What to wear when traveling. I get it. You want to look put together while staying as comfortable as possible. Fall travel looks can feel particularly tricky for me as I am typically traveling from a very hot and humid Florida to a cooler place like NYC or Scotland. Plus, you are dealing with all the unexpected temps that come with the glamorous airports (sarcasm) and planes themselves. I am breaking down some of my favorite travelwear pieces for fall 2026. These are versatile pieces I am wearing for traveling and the items I can mix and match and layer to get the most use.
BASE LAYER // I am always wearing a tank top or a tee under anything while I travel. If I get overheated I start to panic a bit! Right now my go-tos are all great tees. I love this one because it has an incredible hand-feel, is fitted without being too tight, and is nice enough to tuck in and wear to dinner paired with items packed in my suitcase. I also love this tee – the fit is more boxy. It feels great to travel in and is a more trendy cut to wear back to denim (like this) while exploring.
SWEATERS // Sweaters are a must for me. While I love a great button down, I prefer a sweater while traveling for comfort and ease. My top three are this sweater I own in nearly every color (seen above), this classic I have waxed on and on about for years, and this new-to-me sweater that I am styling above. All of these have a similar fit, what can I say I like what I like. I prefer a slightly oversized crew neck that is on the thicker side.
PANTS // I rarely travel in jeans as pants are what I prefer for travel. I love wearing these cropped cargos that are so comfortable, relatively lightweight, and have super handy pockets. When I opt for joggers, these are the ones I grab the most frequently. Recently, I have also started to wear these. They are a great option as they are extremely comfortable and roomy, but I also find them to be quite versatile. I end up wearing them on the trip, not just in transit!
FLATS // Currently, my favorite flats to travel in are these cap toe numbers, these shoes that feel like I am wearing nothing at all, and these more classic options. I also love wearing adidas sneakers like these and these. If you are more of a classic sneaker gal, Vejas are also a great option.
SCARF // My travel uniform has always consisted of a scarf. I love an oversized cashmere scarf like this one, but right now as I am styling scarves constantly, I am traveling with those that can also complete my non-travel looks as well. I cannot say enough amazing things about this scarf. I bought it in cream and will likely head back for the navy. This bestseller from last year is a great option for a warm but smaller scarf. Lastly, I finally bought a used Hermes cashmere shawl from TRR and it has already proven to be an excellent purchase. Despite being in the first month of ownership, my price per wear is incredible. See how I styled it above and shop all the options here. Remember, you can heart things on TRR and wait to buy when they go on sale or promotion.
For my travel bag, I am sticking with this one. I love the luggage sleeve, how easy it is to clean, and all the different compartments. 10/10, no notes! I carry the large size!
