The family of a Snickers-loving British man made his dying wish come true when they splurged on a candy bar-themed coffin that paid tribute to his favourite sweet as well as his beloved Crystal Palace soccer club.
Paul Broome, who was from Bognor Regis, England, and had worked as a care attendant at a home for adults with disabilities in the coastal community, joked about the idea before his death and even made the request in his will, according to The Argus.

His family ended up following through, saying it was a “perfect tribute” to his “playful” nature, “quick wit and mischievious sense of humour.”
“Paul’s family informed us that he was one of life’s true characters and his farewell needed to reflect that,” Ali Leggo, the funeral arranger at F A Holland (Co-op) Funeralcare in nearby Chichester, England, told The Argus.
The mostly dark-brown coffin, which mimicked a partly unwrapped candy bar, was adorned with the Snickers logo and the words, “I’m nuts,” as well as the logo for Crystal Palace, which is based in Broome’s native South London.
The funeral procession also made a trip past his favoured Central Cafe in Bognor Regis, where friends had gathered to pay their respects while wearing custom T-shirts, The Argus reported.

“We love helping families find unique, heartfelt and creative ways to say goodbye to their loved ones in the manner they find most fitting,” Leggo told The Argus.
“The family received nothing but positive feedback from those who attended with many commenting on how the personal touches made the service a true celebration of Paul’s life.
“It was a privilege to help his family bring his final wishes to life.”
