Donnaleigh Bailey who played the character of PC Jess Haywood was last seen on the cobbles in 2023, working alongside Craig Tinker (played by Craig) in the Weatherfield police force.
But now it’s been reported Jess will be stepping foot in Weatherfield once more ahead of Craig’s “shock” death – the scenes are rumoured to air this summer.
Craig confirmed his exit in a statement on Instagram earlier this year, saying: “I’ve LOVED every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the GREATEST street in the world.”

Donnaleigh Bailey set to return to Coronation Street
It’s been said that Donnaleigh is on the “cast list” for next week as viewers prepare to say farewell to Craig, according to The Sun.
Jess was Craig’s mentor on Corrie, and their professional relationship got off to a difficult start, following a row over a cup of tea.
The Sun first revealed Craig is set to be “killed off” in the ITV soap earlier this month.
A TV source shared: “Craig has grown up on the street and he’s become part of it so it was a tough decision to make but one that will be worth it.
“PC Tinker will meet his maker in heroic circumstances this summer and there won’t be a dry eye in the house when it goes out.
“Colson is taking it well and there’s a real feeling that this chapter is closing for him and there are bigger and brighter things ahead.
“He’ll film his final scenes later this month and then he’ll say goodbye to Craig once and for all.”
Earlier this week, Colson shared pictures from his leaving party with fellow Corrie co-stars Sam Aston, Lucy Fallon, Andy Whyment and many more.
He captioned his latest Instagram post: “Leaving doo dump. The perfect ending to the perfect chapter 1.”
