Content creator Good Good Golf, the title sponsor of a new PGA Tour event this fall, posted and then deleted a video for a Callaway driver in which a man shoves to the ground a woman who was reaching for his new driver.
The video was deleted by Good Good and Callaway late Friday after criticism that it portrayed violence against women, though clips of the ad still made the rounds on social media after the official accounts took it down.
The characters in the ad are both with Good Good — Garrett Clark, who rushes over to shove Alexis Miestowski and then says to her as she lies on the ground, “Do not touch my new driver.”
Good Good apologized Saturday in a statement on social media that said, “We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand. We have since taken that content down, and sincerely apologize. Good Good has always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive to all, and we will continue to ensure that is our mission going forward.”

Good Good Golf was launched as a YouTube channel in 2020 and now is among the largest content creators in the sport, featuring eight men and four women competing in golf and various challenges. It has made-for-TV shows, apparel and other merchandise.
Callaway Golf partnered with Good Good in 2023.
“We are disappointed by the content that was posted, and are appreciative of Good Good for addressing this. We look forward to working together to ensure a more inclusive space in golf,” Callaway Golf said in a statement.
The PGA Tour has been embracing content creators over the last several years, and Good Good took a big step this year when it became title sponsor of the Good Good Championship, part of the FedEx Cup Fall that will be played Nov. 12-15 in Austin, Texas.

“The PGA Tour believes in golf’s ability to bring people together and create a welcoming environment for all. We do not condone violence in any form, and the since-deleted video does not reflect our values or commitment to inclusivity and respect,” the tour said in a statement.
Surely the strife within the Royal Family is one of the worst things which has happened to this country in the last half century.
The monarchy has many functions and duties but the abdication of Edward VIII nearly 90 years ago reminded Britain that the Crown is represented, in the minds of many, by the actual family which surrounds the King and Queen.
The monarchy is one of very few institutions which stand for and honour the way of life so many of us aspire to – a strong united family, held together by love and loyalty, passing on good things from one generation to another. There is no point in an Englishman’s home being his castle if there is bitterness within its walls. A house divided against itself, as has so many times been said, will not stand.
Several modern monarchs have recognised this, and the British people clearly believe it too. George V lived more or less like a suburban person, as far as he could, with his ordinary tastes, his quiet evenings and his stamp collection. After the turmoil of Edward and Mrs Simpson, George VI and his Queen were – to many – a blessed relief from gossip and glamour.

Elizabeth II no doubt hoped to follow her parents’ example but the fury of the modern world came rushing into the heart of her household, beginning with her own sister’s complex life and then continuing with divorce among her children.
But most devastating of all was the tragedy of Princess Diana, a personal and public catastrophe which still splits the country and the Royal Family itself.
Who can deny that the estrangement of Harry and Meghan from the monarchy is an aftershock of Diana’s divorce and death, and its effect on her sons? The outcome is sad for all involved. It is also entirely avoidable.
These quarrels are not in some way fated or inescapable. Men and women do not run on tracks like trams. They are free to choose. And now, in the return of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to this country, we have an opportunity for a grand reconciliation. And not just an opportunity. There is also a pressing need. The disgrace of the former Duke of York has left the monarchy weaker than before. The King’s illness worries us all. Princes William and Harry have both had plenty of opportunities to vent their various discontents.

The Sussexes have seen that even California offers no escape from real life. They have children, to whom they must set an example. The King, the head of the family, needs their support as never before. So why not make the rather minor effort needed to reconcile?
The Mail on Sunday’s poll today reveals a lot of public discontent with Harry and Meghan, and this is not surprising. But such things can be overcome.

It is hard to recall just how unpopular the Princess Royal once was. Yet now she is among the most respected and well-liked of all the Royals.
Who should take the first step? That is not for us to say but it is certain that somebody should do so, and soon, while the opportunity is still there.

MAIL ON SUNDAY COMMENT: For the sake of the Monarchy, and their sick father, the Princes must now reconcile
Manchester City have to find their next Rodri after agreeing to sell the World Cup winner to Barcelona for £65.4m
Enzo Maresca has challenged Manchester City to sign the next Rodri as they look to write the next chapter of success. Maresca’s task following Pep Guardiola has been made harder by losing his star midfielder to Barcelona this summer but the Italian does not think it should be a problem for the Blues.
That makes it difficult for anyone trying to replace him, but that is what City must do after agreeing a £65.4m sale to Barcelona. Maresca pointed out ahead of the start of the Premier League that Rodri only grew into the player that he is today during his time at City and that the club have had success in replacing many great players before, suggesting that the right recruitment and coaching can see them through it.
“I’ll try to find a new Rodri. It is what it is,” he said. “Rodri, when he arrived here, he didn’t win the Ballon d’Or, he didn’t win the Champions League, he didn’t win the Club World Cup, then he joined the club and then after he achieved many important things.
“Now the target for us is to try to find the new Rodri. I was thinking last night when David Silva was here, everyone was worried. Kevin (De Bruyne) arrived. When (Sergio) Agüero was here, everyone was worried. Erling (Haaland) arrived. When Ferdinando leaves. Rodri arrived. It’s just about this.
“When they leave, you need to be good and recruit the next one. But they are all similar. David, Kevin, Fernandinho, Rodri, Agüero, Erling. It’s just normal, it’s a change. It’s not a problem, just go again and try to do the right things.”
Shane Richie is reportedly being comforted by his musicals and soap co-star Marianne ‘Mazz’ Murray following his split from wife Christine Goddard.
It was revealed last week that the actor, who plays Alfie Moon in the BBC soap, and his wife Christie have officially divorced after 19 years of marriage.
Their divorce was said to have been finalised on July 23 – just six days before the actor, 62, was charged with drink-driving after police were called following a row with petrol station staff when he was challenged at the Tesco petrol station in Harlow, Essex.
And amid his woes, it is said that actress Marianne, 51, whom Shane appeared with in Boogie Nights, has ‘kept a smile on his face’ and ‘put a spring back in his step’.

A source told The Sun: ‘Shane and Mazz have always got on like a house on fire and in recent months, as his marriage crumbled, Shane’s found himself buoyed by their friendship.
‘She’s had a painful split of her own so the pair have found solace sharing their experiences. They make each other laugh, trust and like each other so it’s no surprise they’ve grown closer.

‘It’s early days, but Shane and Mazz have a spark, and friends are looking forward to seeing where their relationship goes.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Shane’s representatives for comment.
Mazz has known Shane for a long time, having appeared alongside him in several guest stints on EastEnders, including two spells as a character called Miranda in 2004 who flirted with his character Alfie.

She also appeared in a single episode in 2017 as a woman called Julie, while most recently, she returned to Albert Square last month to play Joel Murray’s mum Cleo Marshall.
Meanwhile, Mazz also acted alongside Shane in 1999 musical Boogie Nights, playing Debs alongside Shane’s Roddy.
Shane and Christie’s split was said to have been prompted by Christie, 47, getting ‘fed-up with his spiralling behaviour’.
‘Christie was at the end of her tether with Shane and had had enough. The divorce was her decision and she pursued it after talking it through with relatives. She had put up with a lot over the years and has had a really hard time of things lately,’ a source told The Sun.

‘There was not one specific incident that led to the end, but a build-up of things. She got fed up with his behaviour and did not take the decision lightly.

‘There is a feeling he has been working hard and playing hard and that his behaviour has spiralled a bit.’
There had been reported questions over their marriage after it was previously claimed that Christie was terminated as director of their joint company Bluebelle Skye Productions in June so now has no control over the business empire they have run together since 2017.

The source added Christie hasn’t kicked him out of their £2million family home and that her main concern is their three children.
They claimed she was ‘shocked’ by Shane’s drink-drive arrest and hopes it will be a ‘wake-up call’ for the actor.

A scheme that could see serious sexual and violent offenders confined to areas just a few miles wide after leaving prison will be launched in October, Justice Secretary Alex Norris has announced.
Government ministers say this is designed to give victims greater freedom and further reduce the possibility of unwanted contact
The intention to introduce “restriction zones” for violent offenders who leave prison and who are on probation was first announced by the government last year.
Probation officers will be able to limit where serious offenders can go for as long as it is deemed necessary. Those who breach their new boundaries could be recalled to prison.
This would go beyond the current practice of imposing “exclusion zones” which ban offenders from specific locations such as a victim’s home or place of work.
Norris is expected to come up with proposals to further restrict the early release of some prisoners when Parliament resumes next month.
But the Conservatives say that the best thing Labour could do to protect victims is to bring forward emergency legislation which would stop the early release of thousands of criminals.
There is a risk that serious sexual and violent offenders and victims could encounter one another outside exclusion zones.
The new scheme will specify confined areas for offenders in plans tailored to them and developed in consultation with victims.
Norris said the scheme would use GPS technology monitored by probation officers so that “those who step outside the boundaries can be quickly identified and face being sent back to prison”.
“Offenders should carry the consequences of their crimes, not their victims,” he added.
Amy Glover, director of domestic abuse services at Advance, a charity supporting women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse, praised the “change in focus”.
However, she also called for reform to the criminal justice system saying many survivors of abuse chose “not to pursue a criminal conviction, and for those that do only 5% reach conviction.”
A domestic abuse survivor named only as Kristina called the restriction zones a “fantastic concept” but noted that a perpetrator had continuously breached her indefinite restraining order “without consequence”.
“The biggest challenge would be to gain victims’ confidence in authorities to follow through their promises of protection,” she added.
The announcement of the restriction zone scheme’s start date comes after a change to the government’s early release scheme following a backlash.

Introduced to ease prison overcrowding, on 4 August the policy was updated so people sentenced for rape, serious child sex offences and grooming would not be eligible for early release.
The Prison Governors’ association warned this change to plans at a “very late stage” put further pressure on prison staff.
The restriction zone scheme was criticised when it was announced last year for potentially putting pressure on probation staff, something the government says it hopes to alleviate with more staff and a greater use of technology.

The US actor first became an international heartthrob when he appeared in the Netflix adventure drama Outer Banks as Rafe Cameron. After that, he proved himself to be far more than a YA drama star when he was cast alongside Daniel Craig in Luca Guadagnino’s Queer and, more recently, in the Apple TV+ crime drama Lucky.
With Netflix having recently unveiled the final season of Outer Banks, Drew has plenty more projects in the pipeline, further cementing his place as one of Hollywood’s most exciting young actors.
In the next two years, Drew will appear with Dan Stevens in the science fiction drama Onslaught, play an aspiring musician in Deep Cuts and star with Margaret Qualley in Gothic horror King Snake.
But long before he was an in-demand film star, Drew was a working actor with smaller supporting roles on film and TV.
Here are nine roles you may well have totally forgotten Drew Starkey once played…
Love, Simon (2018)
Drew Starkey in Love, Simon
One of Drew’s earliest big-screen roles came when he played Garrett Laughlin in Love, Simon.

The teen rom-com centred around a closeted teenage boy who is threatened with being outed to his entire high school by an anonymous blackmailer. All the while, he’s also trying to find the identity of his classmate with whom he’s fallen in love online.
That same year, Drew played Brian MacIntosh Jr. in the coming-of-age drama The Hate U Give, which starred Amandla Stenberg as a high school student coping after witnessing her friend being killed in a police shooting.
Drew played a police officer who shot the teenager after mistaking her hairbrush for a gun.
Drew played a minor role in Just Mercy, which starred Michael B Jordan as the real-life lawyer and civil rights activist Brian Stevenson, who represented Black prisoners on death row in the South of the USA.
Just Mercy was another project in which Drew played a police officer, mirroring his work in The Hate U Give a year earlier. He appeared briefly in the 2019 film, in a scene in which he tried to block a group of people from entering a public hearing.
Drew made a brief appearance as a criminal named Tim in the first season of the TV series Doom Patrol.
The show starred Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero and Matt Bomer as an unlikely team of superheroes, who gain their powers in a series of tragic incidents.
In his episode, Drew played a low-level robber whose heist goes wrong when an ATM came to life and started talking to him.
Four years later, it was brought back for a third and final series, titled Scream: Resurrection, which introduced footballer Deion Elliot, played by RJ Cyler, as he was tormented by Ghostface and his own hidden skeletons.
Drew appeared in four episodes of the horror show as Hawkins, Deion’s friend and teammate, who was secretly involved romantically with another openly gay student at his high school.
Spanning several decades in two rural towns in Ohio and West Virginia, the post-World War II crime drama centred on orphaned Arvin Russell, played by the Spider-Man actor, as he encountered corrupt cops, sinister preachers and a local serial killer.
Drew had a minor role as Tommy Matson, a member of the gang of youths who harassed and tormented Arvin’s stepsister, Lenora, played by Eliza Scanlen, until Tom’s character had to step in.
Embattled (2020)
Embattled starred Stephen Dorff as a reigning mixed martial arts fighter, who was forced to confront his family’s abusive legacy after his son, played by Darren Mann, chose to follow in his MMA footsteps.
With around two minutes of screen time, it’s a role so minor it’s certainly not worth fans of the actor seeking out especially for him. However, the film does have a 70% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with The Guardian calling Embattled “part classic montage-showdown sports movie, part southern gothic Oedipal family drama”.
Hellraiser (2022)

The 11th instalment in the Hellraiser franchise starred Odessa A’zion as Riley, a woman recovering from addiction, who found a puzzle box that summoned masochistic humanoids, much like the franchise’s original villain Pinhead.
In what was, at that time, one of his biggest film roles to date, Drew played Trevor, Riley’s no-good boyfriend who she met in a recovery programme.
Josephine Langford and Drew Starkey in The Other Zoey
Drew’s last film role before Queer, which helped him graduate from small roles and young adult projects into a more serious name in Hollywood, was the Amazon Prime rom-com The Other Zoey.
In the movie, Drew played a college soccer star whose amnesia leads to him mistaking computer major Zoey, played by Josephine Langford, for his girlfriend (also called Zoey).
Despite the cringe-y plot setup, the rom-com had surprisingly good reviews, with Variety calling it “a pleasant enough diversion for those who want familiar genre beats sounded by the usual attractive actors in the customary attractive settings”.
All five seasons of Outer Banks are now streaming on Netflix.
Chelsea are open to offloading Jackson before the end of the summer transfer window and Atletico’s sporting director, Mateu Alemany, was in London on Thursday to discuss a deal for the Senegal international.
According to Marca, Jackson has now approved a move to Diego Simeone’s side but Atletico have not managed to reach an agreement with Chelsea.
The report claims that Jackson views Atletico as ‘the most appealing’ destination, however, Chelsea’s preference is to sell Jackson rather than see the striker leave on another season-long loan.

Earlier this week, Villa rejected a bid of €45 million (£38.5m) from the Saudi Pro League side for the England international.
Jackson is also understood to be open to joining Aston Villa, where he would be reunited with Unai Emery having played under the Spaniard at Villarreal.
Chelsea are demanding a £60m fee for Jackson, who has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for the club.

Dr Francesco Restuccia, a fire expert at King’s College London, described the increase in fires at recycling centres as “exponential” and stated that the public are now using lithium batteries in a huge variety of everyday objects such as smartphones, children’s toys, toothbrushes and vapes, with many of these carelessly thrown away.
The units are being transported from the Port of Goole to Eggborough via inland waterways, following their arrival by sea.
They are being transported using the MB Off-Roader barge, which is owned and operated by Humber-based Casper River and Canal Transport Limited.
Sean Taylor, operations manager at the company said: “This project demonstrates exactly why we established Casper River and Canal Transport.

“These transformers have arrived into Goole by sea and, rather than immediately placing two units weighing more than 180 tonnes each onto the road network, we have been able to transfer them onto MB Off-Roader and continue their journey by water to Eggborough.”
A temporary pontoon has been installed at Eggborough to allow the transformers to be safely offloaded from the barge for the final leg of their journey by land.
Mr Taylor said: “The installation of the temporary pontoon at Eggborough is an especially important part of the project because it demonstrates that we are not necessarily limited to established facilities.
“Where the waterway, engineering and site conditions allow, project-specific loading and discharge solutions can open up many more locations to waterborne freight.”

The Aire & Calder Navigation, used for the inland leg of the journey, is part of a historic industrial transport network that once carried millions of tonnes of freight across Yorkshire and the Humber.
Casper River and Canal Transport Limited, established in 2024, aims to revive commercial freight transport on the region’s inland waterways.

And for those seeking a deep belly laugh, you can’t go wrong with 2023’s Theatre Camp, which is now streaming on Disney+.
The film, which has earned an impressive 90% from Rotten Tomatoes’ audience-generated Popcornmeter, stars Molly Gordon (The Bear, Booksmart), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear, Bottoms), Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect), and Noah Galvin (Booksmart).
On paper, Theatre Camp sounds pretty conventional. A documentary crew follows counsellors Rebecca-Diane (Gordon) and Amos Klobuchar (Platt) as they oversee the kids’ end-of-camp musical. The business has suffered the tragic loss of a beloved leader and must also battle buyouts and money woes.
Troy Rubinsky (Jimmy Tatro), the son of the camp’s absent owner Joan (Amy Sedaris), is tasked with wading out of this mess. But it’s hard to believe the selfie-obsessed, non-theatre-going influencer will truly “vibe” with his new home’s cut-throat earnestness.
None of this, however, can prepare you for just how funny the joke-riddled script is. There’s an unspeakably hilarious seance. A child who uses a tear stick is confronted like a budding addict – “she’s using,” a suspicious Rebecca-Diane mutters to her co-leader before rolling on the stage, Action Man-style.
A nose-related incident later in the movie might be one of the funniest I’ve seen.
If you don’t believe me, the critics have my back. The Guardian called Theatre Camp “hilarious” and “zippy,” while Empire said, “barely 20 seconds ever go by without you laughing”. Both gave the movie four stars.
I also dare you not to get the endlessly catchy Camp Isn’t Home song stuck in your head all week.
Despite its warm critical reception, it’s hard not to feel the side-splitting comedy has remained a little under-sung in the UK. It made around $400,900 (£298,484) at the international box office, which I’m pretty sure mostly came from me (I saw it in the cinema six times).
Safe to say you know my verdict by now: I think Theatre Camp is the funniest film of this decade. And luckily for all of us, it’s available to stream on Disney+ now.
