Jose Mourinho produced printer out images of controversial incidents in a derby rant after Real Madrid fell to Atletico Madrid.

Mourinho hit out at the officials following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid, claiming Diego Simeone’s side could have had two red cards in the first half.

The pressure increases on Mourinho, with the result following a 1-0 loss to Real Betis earlier in September to leave them six points off leaders Barcelona.

“We can skip the press conference because the story of the match is right here,” Mourinho said, while flagging the pieces of paper with the images and screenshots of the moments he was aggrieved by.

“Those were two clear red cards. Given the difficulties we faced afterwards playing 11 against 10, we can only imagine what 50 minutes of 11 against nine would have been like.

“So I’ll just have to limit myself to hugging my players, who gave it their all and played a first half, showed great class and character, setting us up perfectly to win the second half.”

Mourinho then added that he hoped the decisions were merely mistakes before praising his side’s cohesion.

“I want to believe they are simply mistakes, just as a coach makes mistakes, just as a player makes mistakes,” he said.

“I liked my team as a unit. Even in the first half I really liked them, and in the second half it was obviously very difficult to get the ball and to stop Atleti’s possession. I liked their pride, I liked their determination, and it’s a good feeling for me to not be disappointed in my players”.

Diego Simeone, in victory, refused to be drawn into a dispute with Mourinho, instead underlining a need for managers to be careful with their words.

“I understand that we’re in a privileged position with a lot of public scrutiny, as coaches, and whether it’s Mourinho, [Hansi] Flick, [Manuel] Pellegrini, me, or anyone else, we need to be careful about what we say,” he said.

“We have to know how to respect others, the referees, our colleagues and we all lose out. And when someone crosses that line of respect, it’s not right – you can’t cross that line.”

The Good Morning Britain favourite has been with his rarely-seen partner for over two decades

Good Morning Britain star Richard Arnold has confirmed he’s married his partner.

The presenter originally shared the exciting news on the weekend, sharing a photo of him and his partner Stuart. And on Monday (September 21) Richard appeared on GMB where he opened up about his special day.

“I got spliced!” he told Kate Garraway and Ed Balls on the show. A photo of Richard and Stuart then popped up on the screen, in which Richard said: “That’s myself and my other half Stuart, and now my husband.”

Kate chimed in: “Awww, is that the first time you’ve said that?!” to which Richard said: “It is actually!” Richard then shared that he and Stuart – who have been together 21 years – tied the knot in Hackney Town Hall on Friday (September 18).

For the “low-key” wedding, the couple’s nearest and dearest made an appearance, including his sisters-in-law from Melbourne and Richard’s “besties from the 80s”.

Richard also revealed that the kilt he wore to his wedding was actually a prop from the GMB wardrobe. He said: “That all came from wardrobe. That’s how bad I am at organising these things!”

Kate was left floored at his wedding confession, saying: “What?! Our wardrobe here at Good Morning Britain, goodness me!” Richard said: “It was a prop!” After Richard thanked the GMB team and viewers for their support, Kate said: “Everybody is so thrilled.”

Richard usually keeps his private life out of the spotlight, but he and Stuart have been together since the early 2000s. In 2022, he offered an insight into their London home.

“Even though we live in central London and you hear the occasional siren, it really is an oasis. It’s extraordinarily quiet, really,” he told House Beautiful. And in 2020, Richard gave Stuart a romantic shout-out while on GMB, wishing him a “Happy anniversary” on air.

The full statement issued by National Highways this morning reads: “On the M62 eastbound there are delays of 90 minutes due to a collision closing 2 lanes (of 3) between J24 Ainley Top Interchange (Huddersfield, Halifax A629) and J25 Clifton Interchange (Brighouse, Dewsbury A644).

“The collision involved a van and a car.

“Due to the damage and the car being an EV the vehicles couldn’t be cleared to the hard shoulder.

“Recovery is on scene removing the vehicles.

Andrew Jennison, 65, of Albert Close, Huntington, was convicted in his absence of careless driving on the M1 in Derbyshire after he failed to attend his trial at Derby Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £300, ordered to pay £300 prosecution costs and a £120 statutory surcharge and given four penalty points.

Five cases were heard at Harrogate Magistrates Court.

Krzysztof Lewomdowski, 40, of Gladstone Road, Scarborough, was convicted in his absence of driving without insurance and without a licence on the A59 near its junction with the A1.

He was fined £660, ordered to pay £120 prosecution costs and a £264 statutory surcharge and given six penalty points.

Jamie Entwistle, 26, of Murrayfield Gardens, Whitby, was convicted in his absence of driving without insurance and using a car without a valid MOT certificate, both committed on the A171 at Whitby.

He was banned from driving for six months, fined £450 and ordered to pay £120 prosecution costs and a £180 statutory surcharge.

Jamie Brown, 36, of Barkers Lane, Snainton, Scarborough, was convicted in his absence of failure to provide information about the driver of his Mercedes Sprinter when it was allegedly committing an offence.

He was banned from driving for six months, fined £660 and ordered to pay £120 prosecution costs and a £264 statutory surcharge.

Mark Estill, 40, of Fylingthorpe, Whitby, was convicted in his absence of failure to tell police who was driving his car when it was allegedly committing an offence.

He was banned from driving for six months, fined £440 and ordered to pay £120 prosecution costs and a £176 statutory surcharge.

Daniel Russell, 48, of Yew Tree Close, Rufforth, pleaded guilty to speeding on the A64 at Stutton near Tadcaster.

He was banned from driving for six months, fined £384 and ordered to pay a £154 statutory surcharge and £120 prosecution costs.

Barclays has announced plans to open new bank branches

Barclays has issued a significant announcement on its plans for UK branches. The bank stated it “continues to strengthen its presence in communities across the UK, as it announces investment in branches around the country as part of a broader programme to modernise and evolve its physical network”.

New branches are set to open in Poole and Bishops Stortford this September, with additional openings scheduled before the year’s end, including one in Beverley during November. These relocations and refurbishments are taking place alongside the continued rollout of Premier Suites and the introduction of smart ATMs, the bank confirmed.

Barclays acknowledged that, while “customers increasingly choose digital banking for everyday transactions”, it recognises “that many of life’s most important financial decisions still benefit from expert guidance and face-to-face support”.

The bank explained that these latest developments have been “informed by customer demand and growth opportunities” and are “designed to bring together the best of both worlds: the convenience of digital and self-service banking, alongside access to expert colleagues when customers need it most”.

The new branches in Poole, Bishop’s Stortford and Beverley “reflect changing customer needs”, according to Barclays. In addition to self-service technology for routine transactions, they will feature consultation rooms, private meeting spaces and access to specialist support for customers requiring guidance on more complex banking needs or key life events.

Barclays also announced it had recently extended opening hours across its entire branch network, creating more than 60,000 additional hours of in-branch availability each year.

Vim Maru, chief executive of Barclays UK, said: “The opening of our new branches in Poole, Bishops Stortford, and Beverley is another demonstration of our commitment to investing in communities across the UK and ensuring customers can reach our people when it matters most.

Presley Gerber thanked his father for his support in a poignant Instagram post shared four months before his death.

It was confirmed on Monday that Presely, the model son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, has died at age 27 following a years-long struggle with drugs, panic attacks and his mental health.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said that Presley died on Sunday at a rehab facility in a devastating end to a battle he had increasingly laid bare in brutally candid social media posts. His cause of death was not revealed.

Late last year Presley started talking about his mental health battle in Instagram posts.

In a May 2026 post he shared his gratitude for his father, posting a photo of the pair paddle boarding together as he wrote about the man he said had steadfastly supported him through his darkest periods.

‘I have the best father in the world. He’s never given up on me. He’s always there for me. Always has the best advice for me. I appreciate this man more than words can explain. I love you pops. To more paddle boarding days around the world.’

Rande responded in the comments: ‘I am honored [to] take this ride called life with you over and over any time. Sometimes we may fall but with a little help always get back up. I love you forever Prez.’

Cindy also showed her support, commenting, ‘My boys!’

Presely later deleted the post. He previously explained how he frequently stepped back from his social media platforms or deleted content to focus on his well-being.

Other posts that still remain on his accout include a heartfelt dedication to his mother to mark her birthday in 2024. 

‘Mom. Thank you. Thank you for all of the amazing support and love you have showed me,’ Presely wrote. 

‘Thank you for being a role model. You are one of my greatest inspirations. From relationships to work you have taught me so much. I am grateful for you every day. I have infinite love for you.’ 

Presley’s final Instagram post was shared on August 5 and featured him barefoot and smiling as he modelled clothing from Vuori Clothing, a favourite brand of his family’s.

The previous post, shared on March 26, saw Presely opening up on some of the methods he was trying to overcome his health battles.

A flood dose is a single, high-dose administration of a substance – most commonly ibogaine, a psychoactive compound derived from plants and used in specialised addiction clinics. The high-dose is designed to induce a profound psychoactive and physiological ‘reset’. 

Ibogaine is illegal in the US, where it is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance but it is Iegal or permitted by prescription in countries like Canada and Brazil.

Presley captioned the video: ‘Pre Ibogaine Flood Dose – quiet moment before everything changed. i was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this (helps to not go into the situations you do that get ya there but that’s life sometimes.)’

‘(my mantras were love yourself and lis gotta be the last time for this reason. letting go of control didn’t come easy, but I trusted there was something bigger than me guiding it.’

Four months before his passing, Presely had supported his sibling at the RE/DONE x Kaia Gerber Short/Cuts Launch event in May in L.A. 

His parents had also made an appearance as the family paused for photos together outside.

Last month, Presley’s sister Kaia revealed how his drug use and mental health struggles had affected their family.

‘When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,’ she told Vogue.

Last November, Presley revealed he had taken a step back from social media to ‘take care of my own mental health for a bit.’

One month later, he opened up about his personal life in a candid social media video.

Sister, Kaia, said her brother’s troubles made her want to be the ‘easy’ child.

She explained, ‘I think that’s also why I started to self-​identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.’

He listed medication he takes for ‘night terrors’ and ‘panic attacks.’

‘I feel like honesty is the best policy,’ he began before sharing that he was on 1mg of Buprenorphine, used to treat both pain and opioid use disorders, twice a day.

Presley also shared that the ‘benzos have been fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life.’

Benzodiazepines help ‘slow down activity in your brain and nervous system’ to treat ‘anxiety and related mental health conditions,’ per Cleveland Clinic.

‘Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,’ he shared.

He did not go into detail about the ‘loss’ he referenced, but went on to explain that he also takes a dose of Xanax at night or when his ‘panic attacks are really, really bad.’

The model then listed Valium, admitting that he didn’t know exactly how much he’d been taking as he said, ‘Who f***ing knows anymore.’

He noted in the Instagram reel that ‘doctors say a lot of different things so it’s kind of scary. But hopefully between my research and their research and the world and God, we can finally figure this out.’

Presley also talked about the lack of ‘direction’ he has from doctors when it comes to his medication.

‘I’d like doctors to be like, “Take this three times a day.” But every psychiatrist I’ve had – and I’ve had 15 – are like, “Here’s 20 medications and take this if you feel like this, take this as needed.”

‘And I’m like, “No, don’t give me that much leeway.” I need some direction,’ he continued.

Kaia, told Vogue that witnessing her brother’s honesty was ‘refreshing.’

‘My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, “I’m gonna be very human for everyone.” There’s only so much you can hide from the world,’ she said.

‘And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them.’ 

North Yorkshire Council has confirmed that Ravenseat to Keld, will be closed from Monday, September 28, until Friday, November 6.

The closure is required for work at Beck Meetings Bridge, where the existing three-span stone clapper structure is set to be replaced.

Roadworks information published for the scheme shows a signed diversion of around 60.88km, or almost 38 miles, which is expected to take motorists about an hour to complete.

The bridge carries the B6270 over the Crooked Sike watercourse.

According to information for road users, the work will involve the “replacement of a 3-span stone clapper with a precast concrete u-duct and concrete top slab”.

The diversion will be in force throughout the closure period.

The lengthy alternative route takes motorists away from the affected stretch before eventually bringing them back towards their original route, with part of the diversion travelling towards Cliff Gate Road.

The reverse route will apply for traffic travelling in the opposite direction.

A North Yorkshire Council traffic order states: “North Yorkshire Council intends to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Ravenseat To Boundary, Keld due to necessary bridge repair works.

“It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from September 28, 2026 until November 6, 2026.”

Although the legal traffic order allows for a maximum duration extending until 20 March, 2028, this does not mean the road is expected to remain closed for that length of time.

The council says the restriction will only apply when traffic signs are in place, with a local alternative route also signed where appropriate.

Motorists travelling through the area are being advised to follow diversion signs and allow additional time for their journeys.
