Bitcoin just exploded more than 8%, reclaiming the $68,000 level and pushing toward $70,000 — but the price move may be only part of the story.

The bigger development came from Washington.

President Donald Trump said the United States is considering buying “sizable” amounts of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, while also calling on Congress to pass the CLARITY Act and reaffirming his goal of making America the undisputed leader in crypto.
