Berawal dari kehidupan sederhana sebagai buruh pabrik dan kuli bangunan, Mbak Hastin bersama suaminya memberanikan diri merintis usaha slondok di Magelang. Modalnya bukan dari warisan atau tabungan besar, tetapi dari menjual motor, meminjam uang, dan membuat sendiri berbagai alat produksi melalui tukang las.

Perjalanan mereka tidak langsung berjalan mulus. Pada tahun pertama, sekitar 4,5 ton singkong yang digunakan ternyata berkualitas buruk hingga hasil produksinya menghitam dan tidak bisa dijual. Kerugian besar itu sempat membuat keduanya ingin menyerah, tetapi mereka memilih bangkit dan kembali memulai usaha dari awal.

Perubahan besar terjadi ketika Mbak Hastin mulai rutin membuat konten tentang proses pembuatan slondok. Dari konten tersebut, pesanan online mulai berdatangan hingga hampir 40 ribu paket berhasil dikirim. Dalam sehari, mereka bisa mengirim sekitar 150 paket, bahkan ketika live selama satu jam, pesanan yang masuk dapat mencapai 100 paket.

Meski permintaan terus meningkat, produksi tetap dibatasi demi menjaga kualitas dan rasa. Dalam sebulan, sekitar 16 ton bahan dapat diolah dengan keuntungan kurang lebih 20 juta. Proses tradisional juga tetap dipertahankan agar lebih banyak warga sekitar tetap memiliki pekerjaan, terutama para ibu yang bekerja mengupas singkong.

Mbak Hastin yang hanya lulusan SMP dan suaminya yang lulusan SD kini mampu mengirim produk hingga Palu dan menyiapkan tabungan untuk pendidikan anak serta masa tua. Kisah ini bukan hanya tentang besarnya penjualan, tetapi tentang keberanian memulai, konsisten membuat konten, menjaga kualitas, dan membangun usaha yang ikut memberdayakan masyarakat sekitar.
