» Full Live Stream – Max Deadlift | Individual Event 6 – 2023 Rogue Invitational

Full coverage of both the Men’s and Women’s Max Deadlift, Event 6 of the CrossFit competition at the 2023 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas (Saturday, October 28).

In one of the least complex but most entertaining workouts of the weekend, the competitors looked to close out Saturday on a strong note, taking on an ascending series of deadlifts with a failed attempt spelling elimination from the event. To the crowd’s enjoyment, this set up another lengthy showdown between Tia Toomey-Orr and Laura Horvath, as well as an incredible display of strength from Alex Gazan and Dani Speegle, who carried the workout into 18 rounds. On the men’s side, Pat Vellner did more than enough to extend his lead atop the leaderboard, while Chandler Smith rebounded from a tough Event 5 with an unreal performance that vaulted him back into the podium race (and sent the Dell Diamond crowd home happy).

  5. I couldn't disagree with the front squats being good or important any more than i disagree with anything else in life. So dumb. The bar is being statically held in the front by your arms so its using energy but building very little muscle and just makes you good at holding something against your chest in a very specific way that doesn't convert to any real life objects. Since your essentially holding the bar up with your arms your substantially reduce the load on your quads and the rest of your legs. Making it less than optimal for leg training.

Not only that but this video is the very first time ive heard someone say asking someone weight kn front squat is THE MOST frequently asked question or whatever. No one ever asks what someones front squat is if there someone who is taken seriously. Atleast i never heard of bodybuilders, powerlifters bring up a front squat unless theyre talking about how much of a waste it is unless you just have all the time in the world and dont care about building a good physique or doing something that people dont compete in. Omg i feel i could go on and on about the front squat and how its not a better test of strength for the legs that a regular barbell back squat. And as a test for upper body strength or being able to balance a barbel isnt optimal because ofl the fact that youre squatting takes away almost all upper body potential.. if the weight is high enough that the lower body is really being challenged then any upper body exercises that arent a static hold shouldnt be able to move hnless tour legs are super weak.

I get you needed to out out a video but the claims youre making based off of things people dont actually say or do is almost funny. But not quite. So i typed this.

  14. i am just a non competitive female bodybuilder but the fact that i go to the gym to rep out 140 – 150kg deadlifts and some of these women cannot even do that and they are competitive rogue athletes gives ME an ego boost

  15. all the world record holders in power lifting are black there are three black dudes who have dead lifted over 1.000 lbs and two have the record bench press of over 1,200 lbs Ray Williams is worlds strongest man .Soon blacks will take over strong man competition.

  16. I wonder who else is watching old crossfit games, waiting for 2024 games

  19. It’s interesting to see Laura being so friendly with everyone but Tia.
