I literally did swimming like 8 years ago, now I'm 15, when I was in primary school, only for a year.
Swimming was literally the only serious sport I have ever done in my entirely life.
I stopped swimming back then cuz my mom saw me not doing any progress in swimming, so she stopped taking me to swim.
My opinion: you can't expect a primary school child to learn to swim perfectly in just one year
I am getting back into swimming too I always loved swimming, l want a career out of it because I love it
If you practice „4-5 times a week for 1,5 hours“ there ist something seriously wrong with you and I encourage you to get a live.
I haven’t swam for 14 years. No wonder I got back pain and weak muscles all the time. I should go back to swimming one day but not now as I’m busy with my work
I dance everyday and to work on my stamina I started to swim. I don't enjoy it that much as dance, I am not that happy after swimming but I believe it will help me to have more energy when I perform on the stage.
For all those comments about the meditative benefits of diving.,…YES, you abd I must have experienced the clarity and freedom that comes from focus during diving. Diving is amazing in all its forms.., free diving, high diving etc. All of these while a few are strikingly different from one the other forms (to those who don’t know?) appear to (inter Alia) (1) involve the so-called “dive reflex” which lowers heart rate and has many other surprising metabolic effects, and (2) the FOCUS required to do all these firms of diving not only showing “good form” (eg for scores in competitions) also to avoid injury as all are inherently a bit dangerous (so is snowboarding, skiing: ice skating etc)…. THAT FOCUS and VISIALIZING THE BODY BEFORE ABD DURING THE DIVE CLEARS THE MIND OF ALL CLUTTER and WORRY. Some of us (like me) cannot .ever I twin the level of meditation quality AND salutary effects from any traditional form of “meditation” (eg seated, focusing in breath alone, etc)… JUST BENEFIT IN THE MEDITATIVE STATE NECESSARY FOR, OR INDUCED BY (or both!): DIVING.
Yes, swimming does all the things emphasized here including increasing (or helping to preserve) bone density. Those who say otherwise are not treating swimming as a serious exercise, which it definitely can be (is!) if done long enough, and with expenditure of energy/effort, placing stress on muscles (growing them while not making them huge), and this effect allows pressure to be placed on bones the muscles are moving (encouraging retention of bone density). Done for pleasure, even a hard workout in the pool can be bath sensual and meditative … a GREAT opportunity to either focus on am idea while exercising OR better yet, clearing the mind so it usin better shape later!
“Increases bone density”??? Sure about that??
Very AI voice the way it's unnaturally jammed together. But why the accent "swymin" vs swimming, athletic "physic" vs physique..etc Maybe it's sampled from a real voice first
Can anyone please tell me that in uneven shoulder problem swimming is beneficial if yes then how many months it take to resolve uneven shoulder problem???
Tomorrow is my 8th consecutive day of swimming for an hour! I'm a big dude and need to lose a ton of weight so for now I'm just doing swimming. eventually I will do weight lifting but right now I want to focus on swimming.
The problem is it makes the hair grey. Anyone has any remedy for that?
Yes.
used to swim 6 days a week, my shoulders get injured
We have proof from in our family that enough swimming improves a person's ability to and thrive in spite of excruciating circumstances like dismemberment including decapitation. Swim on, Dorey !
What about all the chlorine exposure to your body on a daily basis if you are doing it in an indoor or outdoor pool every day? I agree that swiming is good but doing it in water that is treated daily probably not the healthiest thing for your skin.
It's works in hight growth?
I’m doing these exercises after having gout, massive improvement. Well done mate
Swimming and diving are excellent for mental relaxation. Diving, in particular, requires a specific breathing technique beforehand to dive longer, which helps lower your heart rate and makes you "semi-meditate."
Swmming helped me during my pregnancy. The breast stroke was so useful to relieve back pain during the third trimester. I also did squats, lunges, other hip opening exercises in the pool. Helped so much with my delivery and postpartum.
I used to think that swimming is not for me. And I live in front of the sea. I now go twice every day. It's my best friend and doctor.
