  1. I have filled the form but I haven’t received email with the guidance?

  2. 1:57 fun fact, The idea of walking 10,000 steps a day comes from a hugely successful marketing campaign launched ahead of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The number was chosen because the Japanese character for 10,000 resembles a person walking, and the idea caught on.

  3. Cardio is good but the least necessary. Lift weights!

  4. Your videos are great and I always watch them and follow these exercises. I have a question.I am 52 . I have been experiencing right hip joint pain from more than a year and my left knee hurts too. What kind of exercises should I follow? Thanks.

  5. Consistency is the key. I'm 55 and have been weight training at the gym for the past 37 years with just one 6-month lapse. I can honestly say that physically I am pretty much the same as I was in my 20s although my knees are a bit stiffer, but still quite functional. The only "cardio" I do is brisk walking and some biking every once in a while. As the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Start a weight regimen and stick with it.

  6. As someone with a spine injury what am I supposed to do about steps as I can't physically walk more than 20 or so meters at anyone time?

  7. Your completely wrong about cardio, and resistance. Also I am almost 78 ,and I am much stronger and healthier without animal protein.
You are dead wrong about calcium in dairy. We can't utilize it. And milk is the worst of all foods for leeching calcium from bones! It's the leading cause of osteoporosis.
I also get far more benefits from doing 20 to 150 reps or more.
    Your ideas are very outdated.
Just plain walking, plus quiting all dairy and animal protein and all supplements were the first steps my Mother took to completely reverse osteoporosis in her late 70s.
You never mentioned vit.D, vit.K. or magnesium, all much more important to worry about than calcium.

  8. No timestamps, not even in the comments. Thanks, no.

  9. 3 times 10 minutes of brisk walking per day? Please quantify "brisk walking", perhaps in steps per minute. I usually walk too slowly.

  10. I definitely dislike stock photos and stock video footage from Getty Images. They are fake. Please use authentic images and footage, instead. Or avoid stock footage entirely!

  11. Right off you show a fellow doing dips wrong. His fingers should be pointing outwards not forwards

  12. Heavy lifting .. the 40kg boxes I moved in the warehouse aged 19 .. wouldn't want those now.

  13. Thank you for all you do for us over 50’s! Your information is invaluable, easy to understand and not overwhelming. I bought your book and love it! Merry Christmas and all the best to you in the New Year!

  14. I'm in pretty good health at 70 and walk almost daily, up and out early most of the time for at least an hour. Some days I take a trash bag with me and pick up trash along my usual route, which is a large industrial park here in SW Ohio that contains an Amazon warehouse at one end and city municipal buildings and a woodsy area, creek and park at the other end. On those days, I do a lot of bending and lifting. (You would not believe the amount of trash thrown out of car windows by employees there and the truckers who come and go. I've also found amazing things, including bikes, brand new men's work boots with the tags still on, bags full of nearly new clothes probably meant for a thrift store, and on another day, some still packaged frozen pork chops, a bag of walnuts, a bag of raisins and a bag of beans, probably just received from a food pantry and tossed, and shame on that person. Yes, I did take the food home and happily used all of it. I love cooking, keep a pretty good pantry and almost never eat fast food. Yes, my life is that exciting, lol). I just know that I need to keep moving for the rest of my life, but if it's not halfway enjoyable to me, I'm not going to do it.

I've quit worrying about walking speed and have no desire whatsoever to join a gym to lift weights, been there and did that back in my 20s-30s. I've never understood or had any desire whatsoever to run for exercise, especially as a woman. Biking, yep, enjoyed that back in the day. When I owned my home, I always did a lot of yard work back in the day. I'm in small apartment now by choice, and I sure don't miss the yard work. On days when I don't go outdoors, I can use one of my exercise DVDs with some hand weights and stretchy bands or do some strenuous house cleaning and move furniture around. I've been without a car by choice for several years now (signed it over to a grandnephew and can afford to purchase another one but choose not to), because I live in a still pretty decent area near a grocery store, my doctor, a pharmacy, post office, thrift stores, bank, etc. The RTA bus service we have here is great, cheap and works for me if I get the urge to hit a mall, which I seldom do. Sorry, way more info than required here.

  15. The advice to continue working a joint when you have pain is exactly what I needed to hear. I've had knee inflamation and have stopped working out. Now I know that is a mistake.

  16. I'm 69. At the moment I'm using a power twister to try and maintain bulk in my arms, chest, and shoulders. Use a gripper as well. Try and keep functional with the walking. Trying to stay off painkillers. We'll see how it goes.

  17. I love your content and frequently share your videos with my fellow seniors.

  22. For the last week I've got that clicking knee I've done some knee exercises and I'm still active but I've not run as yet that I'm leaving on the back burner a litter long.. It's improving day by day from the exercises and being active..

  23. Physics. A body in motion stays in motion.

  24. I'm 76, hoping to stay active at least 10 more years. Love your videos!
